Bluetooth Auracast Set To Transform Audio into an Interactive Experience
In an era where connectivity is key, Bluetooth Auracast is poised to revolutionize how we interact with audio. This will be done through our personal devices. At CES, the Bluetooth consortium demonstrated just how transformative Auracast could be for daily life. They did so by showcasing its seamless integration with current technology like Bluetooth 5.2. This new feature will soon make our headphones more than just personal listening devices. It will turn them into interactive tools that engage with the environment around us. A Firsthand Look at Bluetooth Auracast in Action During a visit to CES, attendees experienced firsthand how Bluetooth Auracast could alter everyday interactions. Equipped with an iPhone 15 featuring a simple Auracast app, users could connect to various audio streams in a matter of seconds. The app displayed available Auracast transmissions, which could be easily tapped to switch audio sources without the typical pairing hassle. For instance, at a bar setup with multiple TVs, users could choose to listen to a football game’s commentary or switch to a news broadcast as effortlessly as changing a channel. Enhancing Accessibility and Convenience Bluetooth Auracast not only promises convenience but also aims to significantly enhance accessibility. A demo at a faux airport gate demonstrated the potential to receive gate announcements directly through earbuds. This would ensure important information is never missed. The technology could also allow for multiple audio streams to be heard simultaneously. You could catch up on the news while still being alerted to your gate’s last call. Moreover, Auracast can extend beyond personal use. Auracast facilitates clearer audio in public speaking environments and allows multiple users to join a video call via a single device. The Road Ahead: Integration and Adoption While the demonstrations at CES were promising, the widespread adoption of Bluetooth Auracast will depend on support from both device manufacturers and operating system developers. Companies like JBL, Sennheiser, and Samsung have already announced products that will support Auracast. Additionally, chipset manufacturers including Intel, Qualcomm, and RealTek are on board, which is critical for the technology’s success. However, for Auracast to truly become a part of our daily audio experience, it will need to be seamlessly integrated into mobile operating systems. This would bypass the need for standalone apps and enhance the user experience. Bluetooth Auracast is on the brink of changing not just how we use our headphones but how we interact with the world around us. As this technology develops, it may soon become as indispensable as the smartphone, turning every audio experience into an opportunity for enhanced engagement and accessibility. Love,Shaun Makes A Statement With ‘Nothing Feels the Same’
Scottish producer Love,Shaun has once again captivated the electronic music scene. He has done so with his latest release ‘Nothing Feels the Same‘. The track is constructed around a powerful refrain, with bold and infectious beats as its backbone. The track’s drums coupled with its jittering atmospherics make it a heartfelt anthem made for the dancefloor. Following the success of his previous single ‘The Heat’, Love,Shaun continues to impress. He blends deep emotional undercurrents with compelling club beats to create a track that feels both familiar and entirely new. Emotional Depths and Dancefloor Dynamics Nothing Feels the Same’ captivates with its profound emotional resonance, highlighted by a thrilling crescendo. This crescendo culminates in a powerful drop, accentuated by heart-thumping synths. These synths seem to echo with a deep sense of yearning. Since his arrival on the scene, Love,Shaun has shown a remarkable skill in weaving complex emotional stories into his club anthems. ‘Nothing Feels the Same’ enhances this prowess, offering a sonic journey that not only stirs but also deeply connects with its audience, compelling them to immerse themselves in the beat and the poignant essence of transformation Beyond the music, Love,Shaun’s burgeoning career is gathering pace with significant milestones. His major-label debut began with ‘The Rush’, setting the stage for exciting developments. His recognition expanded after his first live performance at a Coachella 2023 party and continued growth on platforms like SoundCloud, where his early demos gained viral traction. With over a million streams and counting, Love,Shaun is not just producing hits but is also crafting a narrative of success and connection in the electronic music world. His upcoming club night ‘Motion’ in Glasgow promises to be a pivotal moment, with ‘Nothing Feels the Same’ guaranteed to be a highlight, captivating audiences with its compelling beats and emotional resonance. Love Shaun’s ‘Nothing Feels the Same‘ is out now Astralwerks, and can be streamed below, enjoy! Love,Shaun – Nothing Feels the Same | STREAM About Love, Shaun: Love,Shaun creates emotional dance music that transports listeners to a visceral place. For the Scottish producer, that place takes root in his own studio, which comes alive when he’s in create mode. As he’s making music—blurring genres such as house, breakbeats, garage, and rave—the walls beam with projections of footage from festivals and raves, where crowds heave and burst in unison seemingly at his command. “With the lights off and different colors, it provokes you,” he says. “You feel like you’re making a song for those people.” Shaun’s debut single on Astralwerks, “The Rush,” delivers spellbinding euphoria that could easily rouse real- life crowds. From a slow, haunting open with a fleeting vocal, transcendent chords and rapid percussion lift the track to its strobing, ‘90s-house release, creating alternating moments of communal captivation and unraveling. Its atmospheric essence represents how, for Shaun, dance music goes much deeper than dancing. “It’s about people hearing it and actually feeling good, feeling something that takes them out of their day for a minute,” he says. “And I think that’s probably the most important thing because it does that to me when I make it. I want people to feel the same way.” The post Love,Shaun Makes A Statement With ‘Nothing Feels the Same’ appeared first on EDMTunes.

Lightning in a Bottle Festival Celebrates Life, Community and Self-Expression
More than just a festival, year after year SoCal's beloved Lightning in a Bottle attracts like-minded individuals like moths to a flame. But what makes this extraordinary event so special? Simply put, what sets Lightning in a Bottle apart are its guiding principles. And according to the festival's official website, there are "6 Ways of LIB'ing" that comprise its community's guiding principles: Celebrate LifeCreate CommunityRespect Yourself, Respect OthersActively ParticipateHonor The LandBe a Citizen"They are simple, but when we all put them into action they are powerful," the site reads. "Let’s remember these 'Ways of LIB'ing' and create magic together!" View the original article to see embedded media. Like any collective, establishing guiding principles ensures a cohesive experience for all attendees. And these principles are not rules by any means, but suggested ways of being and relating to others to achieve an optimal experience. After all, we're spiritual beings looking for a human experience. Lightning in a Bottle outshines other festivals in the area considering it's a boundary-breaking experience that not only supports, but also celebrates life, community and self-expression. This festival is the quintessential place to explore all of who you really are, and how you wish to show up in the world. "Every attendee, artist, creator, presenter, and crew member contributes their own special ingredients to create this one-of-a-kind event," the website affirms. "Camping together as a collective of conscious explorers is an essential part of the magic, and together we create a welcoming and safe place to imagine, play, and create." Lightning in a Bottle In this digital age, while we are all so "connected" online, there is a strong disconnect in-person. With that being said, creating community is more important now than ever before. Lightning in a Bottle To open yourself up to create community comes with the underlining instillation of respect; both for yourself and for those around you. Remember: It all starts with you. Lightning in a Bottle Piggybacking on the previous principle, what you put in—in life—is what you get out. If you want to maximize your experience, you must cut the distractions and show up fully. Lightning in a Bottle And no matter where your journey takes you, it is your duty to respect the land that you inhabit—whether that's day-to-day at home, or the temporary home created at a festival. Lightning in a Bottle The final way of "LIB'ing" is to be a citizen, echoing the importance of integrating any lessons from your experience after the event to guide your day-to-day way of being. Elon Musk Reveals He Transformed His College Home Into a $5 DIY Nightclub to Pay Rent
Elon Musk today may be transforming transportation and exploring new frontiers in space, but in college, he was lighting up a different scene entirely: his university campus rave culture. When the "Don't Doubt ur Vibe" producer found his student rental budget looking a little too tight, he devised a plan that combined his entrepreneurial flair with his passion for electronic dance music. Long before his SpaceX rockets blasted into orbit or Tesla cars zipped through city streets, Musk was moonlighting as the mastermind behind a unique college nightclub alongside The Founder Institute CEO Adeo Ressi, his University of Pennsylvania roommate at the time. Musk's affinity for dance music inspired the audacious move of transforming his house into a DIY dance club, where he charged fellow students a $5 entry fee to help pay rent, he revealed in a thread on X. Little did those clubbers know they were getting a taste of the visionary spirit that would one day drive his paradigm-shifting innovations. The anecdote came from DogeDesigner, who said Musk "converted his house into a nightclub" to afford rent before the tech titan replied and confirmed it. Check out the post below. Here Are the New Art Installations Coming to EDC Las Vegas 2024
Insomniac is once again raising the bar of electronic dance music festivals by virtue of EDC Las Vegas, where in 2024 a number of new art installations and upgrades will debut, according to a media alert shared with EDM.com. The beloved Pixel Forest activation is expanding, receiving a renovation while also increasing in size. What was already a grand, immersive experience will now be able to accommodate more guests and allow them to get even more lost in the digital oasis. Elsewhere, Nomads Land, a whimsical hub "where art meets technology and nomads wander into the unknown," will feature more architecture and performers this year. Insomniac is also welcoming the cannabis brand STIIIZY for their own activation as well as the "Hiyo-asis Wellness Booth," where Camp EDC attendees will be able to relax and participate in various activities while sipping on non-alcoholic beverages. Meanwhile, Downtown EDC will see plenty of changes of its own, including a relocation to the center of the festival to become more accessible for attendees. The "Kandi Kasino" and "Queen Drag Bar" pop-ups will both return in addition to "Up to Date" and the various chapels EDC offers for marriage ceremonies. New additions to Downtown EDC include Good Times and the YeeDC Saloon. The former will function as EDC's first-ever 70s-themed disco party while the latter will be a fusion of country and electronic music. Finally, Insomniac will be making slight upgrades to each stage, such as they do every year. Most notably, kineticFIELD will be adapted to fit this year's theme at EDC, #kineticCIRCLE, which Insomniac says will "celebrate the profound impact circles have on our lives – circles of time, circles of trust, and circles of community." EDC Las Vegas is scheduled for May 17-19 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This year's lineup features Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, Zedd, Alison Wonderland, Kaskade, John Summit, Dom Dolla, deadmau5, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, ILLENIUM, David Guetta and many more. Ultra Naté Releases Official Video & 9 Remixes For Hit ‘HAPPY FEELING’ With Russell Small And DNO P
Ultra Naté delivers a remix pack quite literally for the ages as she and fellow producers Russell Small (The Freemasons) and DNO P unveil the full package for ‘HAPPY FEELING’, alongside the long-awaited official video for the blistering original cut. “A clip to go with “HAPPY FEELING” was really imperative for me,” Ultra comments, “and it had to convey not only how the song makes me feel, but how I want the viewer to feel. Lots of popping color in an iconic locale was immediately the plan. What better place than my favorite quickie getaway – Miami! Aside from the gorgeous sun, beach and palm trees, there’s Miami’s glitzy energy on the backdrop of a rich, cultural landscape. I wanted to capture all of that, and I’ve been super lucky to find such a talented DP like Katie Simbala and an amazing team of creatives to help bring the concept to life! “ Brimming with vibrant colour and energy, the video more than matches the single’s upbeat energy shot by shot, its visuals underscoring the track’s message of positivity and providing the perfect doorway to a huge run of remixes that drop on the same day. Running the historical gamut of house music, the curated selection moves from 70’s-inspired nu disco and 80’s-etched synth pop to booty luv house, bass-centric NYC underground and mainstage rave-up anthems. Remixes and reworks coming from Cevin Fisher, Les Bisous, Slowz, D’Angello & Francis, 808 BEACH and Odyssey Inc. “It’s time to sprinkle some happy dust on clubland dance floors!” says Ultra. “I’m really proud of this collection of remixes and it’s timed perfectly as we move through Spring into the Summer season. The HAPPY FEELING remix package gives you everything from poolside cool to peak hour bangers, but most importantly it’s a feel good tune that makes you sing-a-long and gets stuck in your head! The goal when I wrote this song, was to remind us all that no matter how dark and bleak things can get, there is still something transcendental about music.” Inspired by vintage Giorgio Moroder – Odyssey Inc. set their flag in the sand from the moment the needle drops. Delivering a remix designed to shred the dance floor, Mark Jones and Paul Gullefer’s take is thunderous, relentless, driving, and absolutely dripping in tuff-disco glamour. Slowz lives up to his name, bringing the tempo right back down, infusing the single with soft percussive pads and twinkling, delicate synth runs that drench everything in shimmering shades of delicate, Miami, 80s-style pop. John “J-C” Carr and Bill Coleman’s 808 BEACH mix harkens back to a classic era of US House music. Their chugging, jackin’, peak-time driver is the perfect conduit for Ultra’s vocal to soar across the top, pulling and accentuating the strings of the original to maximum effect. Having collaborated with Ultra on 2023’s Top 5 Pointer Sisters’ rework, ‘DANGEROUS (So Dare Me)’, Les Bisous drop a preppy, peppy Summer disco edit that runs Stock Aitken Waterman-influenced brass and synth sections alongside a bubbly, French touch bassline. The surprise mix of the pack belongs to Belgium’s D’Angello & Francis of Smash The House. Straying away from traditional funk and house elements, the pair swing in a rave-ier edit, ramping the BPMs up for a cut that wouldn’t be out of place on the hard house and trance dance floors of the late 90s and early 00s, or the new generation of clubbers demanding their anthems be harder and faster. Leaning into the trademark and pioneering Freemasons elements of Russell Small that allowed him to stand shoulder the shoulder with the likes of Guetta, Sinclar, Basement Jaxx et al – the strings, piano, and swirling guitars – the Happy Faith remix celebrates everything the classic Funky House era had to offer. Taking ‘HAPPY FEELING’ up to current times, and already proving a major hit on Traxsource where they enjoyed an early exclusive release, are the Top 10 Cevin Fisher Remix and Cevin Fisher Beats Remix. The former is a boiling deep house cut, the latter a scorching tribal take, both a willing celebrant of Ultra’s vocal topline by one of New York’s finest. Finally topping the remix package off is the favourite Original Club Mix which was the package’s inaugural single release.

NERO "Draw Energy" From the Streets of London in New Single: Listen
NERO are back with "Draw Energy" the third single off their long-awaited album, Into The Unknown. Set to release sometime this year, the album is the influential trio's first since 2015. They said the new single has a transhumanist theme, exploring the relationship between humanity and technology via the sound of a machine they encountered in London. "This song started with the first sound you hear in the track—which was a piece of machinery that we recorded in a car park. We knew we wanted to build something heavy and energetic around it but with a feeling of 'human meets machine,'" they said in a statement. The technological element is introduced immediately in "Draw Energy" before the human element comes into play by virtue of a breathy refrain: "Don’t stop. Take me. Breathe. Draw Energy." With its mechanized saws and glowing drums, the new single follows the release of October's "Truth" and NERO's first drum & bass song in 14 years, "Blame You." Moreover, after revealing that they found a stash of CDs featuring unreleased music from the 2000s, they would later confirm that the contents will be released on their fan club page over the course of the year.
