Genix Continues To Make Magnificent Dance Jams After Starting Nearly 20 Years Ago
The accomplished British DJ/producer Genix has made a lot of strides in his career since releasing his debut single, ‘Red Vision‘, back in 2005. Since then, the Electronic music world has seen Genix produce stellar live sets at illustrious locations such as The Gorge when he performed alongside Above & Beyond at Group Therapy Weekender and the famous Warehouse 55 locations in London and Los Angeles. Most recently, his recent EP, Warehouse55 (Volume 2), included support from top artists such as John Digweed, Joris Voorn, and Armin Van Buuren.
The release of Dance Like Nobody’s Watching / On & On comes after the successful release of ‘Lights, Sound, Camera, Action’. It is a collaborative track alongside flowanastasia that has featured on BBC Match of the Day (the world-famous football/soccer highlights program), as well as on Sirius XM BPM and Diplo’s Revolution. When the album comes out on June 14, as well as the start of the tour, Genix will show new fans why he has continued to make top bangers for almost two decades.

Fame is often synonymous with visibility, but Johan Röhr has become one of the streaming era's most illustrious shadows.
Orchestrating a Spotify discography that outperforms the highest echelons of pop royalty without ever stepping into the spotlight, this Stockholm symphonist has been identified as the mastermind behind over 650 artist aliases on Spotify. Röhr's compositions have amassed a staggering 15 billion streams, according to The Guardian.
Röhr's prolific output includes over 2,700 songs. His music, a mainstay on Spotify’s mood-centric playlists, serves as the unseen backdrop to millions of daily lives. Much of the artist's success is believed to come specifically from editorial instrumental playlists.
Critics argue that the dominance of a few, faceless artists undermines Spotify's pledge to support small, independent musicians. Financially, Röhr's windfall from his streaming success isn't fully known, although his company did report a record-breaking year of 32.7 million kronor ($3 million USD) in the 2022 fiscal year.
In response, a Spotify spokesperson told The Guardian: "There is an increased interest in functional music created to enhance everyday activities such as relaxation, focus, or studying, and these playlists are created to match the listeners’ demand. This type of music typically exists in Spotify’s Focus hub which limits competition with artists from traditional genres of popular music."

Multi-platinum producer Dzeko is back with another banger this time joining forces with chart-topping rapper Lil Yachty for a track titled ‘Wu Tang.’ The track was meticulously crafted in the studio more than a year ago and is primed to be a weapon to pump the crowds at any dancefloor or festival this spring/summer.
Dzeko described the creative process as an exploration of ideas in a press released he shared to EDMTunes. “The song with Lil Yachty came about by hitting the studio literally last March,” he explained. “We went through a bunch of different ideas and vocals.” This experimentation paid off, as Dzeko highlights the unique blend of elements that make the track a success: “I think the combination of the melodic chorus with the Wu-Tang part mixed with the dance/house drop blends so well and makes it a banger.”
Fans are in for a treat as Dzeko’s signature production style fuses with Lil Yachty’s infectious rapping in ‘Wu Tang.’ The year-long effort to perfect the song speaks to Dzeko’s excitement: “A year in the making, and I’m so excited for this to finally come out.”
This isn’t Dzeko’s first foray into cross genre collaborations either with his last one being with country legend Keith Urban on ‘Both Still Young.’ And then there is his platinum hit ‘Jackie Chan‘ with Post Malone and Tiësto which took the world by storm in 2018. Dzeko and Lil Yachty’s latest collaboration is one to get excited for as the combination of their talents has all the makings of a crossover hit. With its catchy melodies, bumping dancefloor beats, and a touch of Wu Tang Clan influence, the track has what it takes to be the next summer anthem.
Dzeko (Julian Dzeko) is an EDM producer and DJ from Toronto, Canada who has cemented himself as a leading figure in the global dance community. His use of colorful arrays of progressive sounds and energetic dance melodies mixed with electro, pop, future and bass house elements show his ability to further push the envelopes of his sound and identity as forward-thinking producer. He has released music on some of the biggest labels in the world, including Spinnin’ Records, Armada Music, and Revealed Recordings. In addition to touring all over the world, he’s held iconic residencies in Las Vegas Casinos such as Hakkasan and Omnia Nightclub.

In the depths of the sonic abyss lies ‘CREATION OF DISGUST,’ a haunting exploration of the darkest realms within riddim. Crafted by the mysterious AVANCE, this EP spins a tale of revelation and darkness. Previous releases have hinted at AVANCE’s lifelong struggle with a spectral tormentor, a demon named Odious, whose origins are as enigmatic as the night itself. Through the alchemy of sound, AVANCE confronts his terror, only to uncover a chilling truth: he himself is the architect of his own nightmare.
Teaming up with Qoiet, a metal/rocktronic artist renowned for his visceral vocal style, they conjure a nightmarish soundscape, blending distorted drums, ominous melodies, and foreboding soundscapes. Each element, carefully selected, stretches the boundaries of comfort while irresistibly drawing listeners into its dark embrace.
In ‘CREATION OF DISGUST,’ AVANCE confronts the demon within, crafting a tale of horror and revelation. This is a descent into the psyche of its creator, marking a monumental chapter in AVANCE’s odyssey through the realms of sound and fear.

Love is in the air in Denver.
At last night’s sold-out show at Denver’s Cervantes Masterpiece Venue, Portland-native turned Denver-based DJ sensation Redrum (Tatiana Tindall) took the stage as direct support for Super Future. Little did she know, her longtime boyfriend and tour manager Scott Villanueva, had a surprise up his sleeve: a heartwarming proposal.
In the midst of what seemed like a regular photo op on stage at the end of her set, Scott decided to make his move. Being Redrum’s VJ for the show, he created a cleverly crafted graphic that played during her final song, which let the crowd in on his master plan. Once she finished her set, entire crowd rallied to cheer him on as he took a knee and proposed. It was a proposal that turned the night into something truly unforgettable.
We’d like to wish a special congratulations to both Redrum and Scott and if you’d like to see Redrum this summer, you can catch her at Electric Forest or Lightning in a Bottle!

In the world of electronic dance music, few names shine as brightly as Calvin Harris, whose headlining act at Ultra Music Festival in Miami sparked an unexpected online debate. Following his electrifying performance on the Main Stage on the festival’s final night, a couple of voices on Instagram dubbed the set “underwhelming.” Unwilling to let the comment slide, Harris stepped into the fray to set the record straight, reminding everyone of the undeniable impact of his music.
Responding to the critics with a powerful defense of his musical legacy, Harris took to the comments section of a Dancing Astronaut Instagram post about his performance. With a career that boasts hits with over a billion streams each, such as “How Deep Is Your Love” and “This Is What You Came For,” Harris questioned the logic behind the criticism. Highlighting his commitment to his art, he revealed the effort that went into creating new versions of his tracks specifically for Ultra, showcasing a dedication that few can rival. His response was not only a testament to his success but also an insight into the pressure and expectations placed on headline acts in major EDM festivals.
Calvin Claps Back
Calvin Harris’ return to Ultra after an 11-year hiatus was nothing short of a monumental occasion, celebrated by many but unfortunately critiqued by a few. Despite the unwarranted criticism, Harris’ comment sparked an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists alike, reaffirming his status as one of the greatest producers of our time. It’s a shame that an artist of his caliber seldom graces EDM festival stages, as his unparalleled ability to weave hits into unforgettable live experiences is exactly what the scene thrives on. Here’s hoping that despite the detractors, Calvin Harris will not shy away from blessing more festivals with his presence, continuing to prove that his musical journey is far from over. A screenshot of the original exchange can be found below. The original post can be found here.

The Chainsmokers are back with "Addicted," an earworm of a house track released today alongside Zerb and Ink.
Musically sleek yet lyrically unrestrained, "Addicted" revels in the darker, more primal aspects of attraction. By turning wanton desire into an addiction, the track makes a penetrating statement about lust's ability to cloud reason, delivering unapologetic ode to the powerful allure of physical chemistry.
"Addicted" features Ink, who has worked alongside Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Childish Gambino and Stevie Wonder, among many others. Her lyrical bravado is a double-edged sword—charmingly cocky one moment ("reason you came in here tonight") and teetering on delirium the next ("out my mind"). It's a gamble that pays off, mirroring the thrill of flirting on the edge of temptation.
The track will most likely appear on a new album from The Chainsmokers, who wrote "TCS6 begins tonight" yesterday in posts across their social media.
"Addicted" is out now on TH3RD BRAIN Records. Check out the official music video below and find the new single on streaming platforms here.

While the 2024 edition of Tomorrowland is gearing up for its landmark 20th anniversary in Belgium, exciting developments are brewing in Southeast Asia.
Following recent news from the Thai government expressing interest in hosting Tomorrowland, the festival organizers have issued a statement confirming their active exploration of the possibility. This comes just days after our initial report that Tomorrowland was slated for a 2026 debut in Thailand.
According to Tomorrowland’s official statement, they are “actively exploring the possibility of hosting a festival” in Thailand. To assess feasibility, they’ve entered into an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a private Thai sector partner. This MOU signifies a joint study to determine the viability of bringing Tomorrowland to Thailand.
While the initial government announcement suggested a 2026 launch, Tomorrowland’s statement clarifies that this is not confirmed. The feasibility study will play a crucial role in determining the project’s future.
The statement concludes by expressing Tomorrowland’s appreciation for the Thai authorities’ enthusiasm. This positive sentiment suggests a promising future for Thailand’s potential Tomorrowland debut.
While we await the results of the feasibility study, dance music fans in Thailand can gear up for Summer Sonic Bangkok, happening this August. This will mark the first ASEAN leg of the popular Japanese festival and the second time it will be held outside Japan.
Stay tuned to EDMTunes for further updates on Tomorrowland’s potential Thailand debut!

Fundraising campaigns have been launched after a tragic rideshare accident killed an attendee of an Excision concert in Buffalo and left two of her friends with severe injuries.
The group reportedly left the March 21st show, which was part of Excision's Nexus Tour, around midnight and hailed a rideshare before their vehicle was struck by a car "at a high rate of speed with no headlights." The man behind the wheel, Devin Ford, 23, was driving without insurance or a license, according to authorities.
The crash killed Morgan Ehrenbeit and hospitalized her boyfriend, Michael Rosenbaum, who is now recovering at home. Ehrenbeit, 26, is remembered as "an adored aunt to 13 nieces and nephews, a beloved cousin, a loyal friend, and a dedicated dog mom to her best buddy Moose," per her obituary.

Another passenger, Luke Stempuzis, 31, was critically injured and placed in a medically induced coma at a nearby hospital. Doctors there had to remove his spleen due to internal bleeding, according to a GoFundMe campaign launched by his family, and treat life-threatening injuries to his kidneys as well as a broken jaw, collarbone and ribs. Stempuzis also sustained a severe brain injury.
Rosenbaum's family also launched a GoFundMe for help covering medical costs in the wake of the accident.
"We're really sad to see this news," Excision Presents, the concert's primary organizer, wrote in a post on X. "Sending a lot of love to the people involved in this accident and their loved ones!"

Police said the driver of the rideshare vehicle, Nasir Musazada, was also killed in the crash.
Ford has been charged with two counts of felony manslaughter, two counts of felony assault, speeding, failure to use headlights, being an unlicensed driver and operating a motor vehicle without insurance, Fox 8 News reports.
The City of Buffalo held a press conference to address the fatal accident, which you can watch below.

Dan Griffith, known by his stage name Gryffin, is an American musician, DJ, and music producer known for his unique and euphoric electro pop sound, dynamic DJ sets, as well as raw musical talent. Born in San Francisco, California, Gryffin grew up as a classically trained pianist and learned to play the guitar at an early age. He played in bands to initially hone his instrumental abilities before breaking out as an electronic music producer in the mid 2010s. His meteoric rise to fame is awe inspiring and he has quickly climbed the ranks to become one of the most sought after acts across the globe. This last week, Ultra Music Festival saw the return of Gryffin for another main stage set (2023 was his Ultra Main Stage Debut) hot off the heels of a highly anticipated release with dance legend Armin Van Buuren, ‘What Took You So Long.’ Gryffin was able to spare some time between his busy Miami schedule to chat with us here at EDMTunes. Read the full interview below:
Hey, man. How’s it going? My name is Jaesyun from EDMTunes. We’re very happy you agreed to have this interview with us.
Gryffin: Yeah. What’s up man? How’s it going?
Pretty good! It has been an hectic music week on my end. So I can only imagine how it’s been like for you. You had your big main stage set last night amid all of the changes. How did that go compared to your very first main stage Ultra set last year? Good to be back?
Gryffin: It was awesome, man. Yeah, I felt really good about it. It was it was obviously kind of chaotic with the set time changes and all that stuff, but I was I was definitely willing to accommodate and get Hardwell on there because he prepared for months for this set and I wanted him to have a great set as well. So it was amidst all that. I mean, I had an amazing time. Got to play a bunch of IDs out and really show where I’m going directionally with my music the next year and this next era. The fan response felt really strong and it was perfect. And weather wise we finally saw some blue sky.
You also just released a really big collab with Armin on Friday and it was quite a surprise to hear the trance sound. Can we expect even more genre bending elements from you in the upcoming album? DNB? Maybe a little hardstyle?
Gryffin: Yep. I’m definitely experimenting with a lot of different subgenres of dance. I think this album represents me going dancier than I’ve gone before on any of my albums. So I am experimenting. Like, I’ve got a couple of DNB songs on the album. It’s been really fun. I’ve been really creatively fulfilled, honestly, working on this project. It’s the most fun I’ve had making music in a long time. So I’m excited to see what people think.
And even just with the Armin song. It kind of came super naturally. We’ve been fans of each other for a long time and finally got a chance to write together in LA; and the entire song was written and produced essentially in like one mega 12 hour session. So that was really cool. It was super organic and the vibes were just perfect that day. We were just bouncing everything off each other and loving what each other was doing. So it just it just came together super naturally and we’re really happy to have it out now.
Wow 12 hours. Like front to end, right to master or did you have a bit more back and forth afterwards?
Gryffin: We tweaked it back and forth over the next several weeks, but just remote since he was back in the Netherlands and I was in LA. But, really, if I played you the version that we finished and bounced that day, you would be like, “oh yeah, this is the track.” Um, so it was pretty crazy. Like he had a set an Exchange that night and his manager kept coming in like: “yo, man, we gotta go get food. We have to go get ready for the show.” And [Armin’s] like: “no, I want to stay and finish this.” He was so excited about the track. So it was pretty cool and it was a really fun but long day.
Yeah, totally. It sounds like it really worked out and it was really rewarding. Do we do we have a release date yet for the album? I know you said spring summer, but you know, spring is almost over.
Gryffin: I know! So yea it’s going to be summer now, but it’s coming soon. I’m just finishing up the last few records and now that touring and stuff is kind of pick back up, I wanted to focus on the sets. I wanted to make sure everything is feeling good in that regard. But now I’m heading home to LA this week and trying to finish the album ASAP. So it’s coming. It’s coming soon. I don’t have a date, but it’s it’ll be a few months away for sure.
Great! Right during peak festival season. You got any big festivals you’re looking forward to this year? And any that are on your bucket list that you haven’t played yet?
Gryffin: I’m excited to go to Osheaga. It’s one I’ve always had in my mind that I really wanted to do. So I’m really excited about that one. And of course Tomorrowland — obviously in Europe this summer. It’s going to be my first time going there. I’m very excited for that one. I’m doing a few big other ones later this summer that actually haven’t been announced, but I’m very much looking forward to those as well. And then I’m going to gear up and start preparing for my big fall tour. Brand new show, brand new everything.
For the tour itself, are you visiting any new cities that you haven’t been to before? I mean, obviously you’re probably gonna have a Red Rocks show. Something in New York, something in LA, the Palladium again or?
Gryffin: So in LA…we’re going pretty big in LA. I can’t announce it yet, but it’s going to be a big one. And then I’m not sure if I’m actually doing any new cities I haven’t gone to before, but it’s the most comprehensive tour I’ve done in a long time. It’s going to be like 20 – 30 cities in the US. I haven’t done a tour, like a bus tour like that since probably the Gravity era. So it’ll be fun to get back out there and really travel the country and play the set out. I’m really looking forward to it.
That’s great. Gravity was one of my favorite albums. I still listen to it on repeat to today! So I want to get your thoughts on the trends in production right now. Tracks in general are going higher and higher in BPMs. What are your thoughts on that as a producer? I know you mentioned that in this particular album, you’re going a lot more dancier here than your previous studio albums, are you kind of following that trend of going with a higher pace, or are you kind of just seeing what works with the track and going along with that?
Gryffin: Yeah, I guess that is the trend, but I also just am enjoying it. I have actually been going more uptempo. Like it’s fun to play out live. It’s fun to feel the energy. I’m actually really just having fun with that kind of stuff because of the pace and energy these records have when I’m working on them. I’ve actually been really inspired by a lot of what’s been happening in dance music and dance culture. So I am kind of just running with it.
Changing gears a bit. You’ve always put out so many good YouTube content pieces. Like that set in Kauai was just absolutely amazing to watch and listen to. Where do you get the inspiration to do that? Like, do you just go on vacation and then decide on a whim? Or does that take a lot of planning ahead of time?
Gryffin: That one specifically actually came together pretty fast when I was out there. I just decided to rip it. So it kind of depends. But yeah, that was a fun one to do. I always like putting up those sets every once in a while when I feel like I have a good vibe on the set direction and the environment that I would love to present it in. I don’t have one planned on the horizon necessarily, but I do have some stuff in the works around the album release. So that that should come out pretty soon, which will be exciting as well. But yeah, appreciate the love on that. I definitely enjoy doing those, and I do put a good amount of effort into it. So I appreciate the positive feedback on that.
Of course! All right, I’m sure you have a really busy day. Thank you for carving out these 15 minutes to chat with me. Really looking forward to writing this up!
Gryffin: Thanks, man. I appreciate that, and thanks for your time as well.

Jauz has returned to us with a beauty of a track. His latest record ‘Teardrops’ captivates the listener with its ethereal synth melodies, vocal chops, and nostalgic breakbeat rhythms that showcase the dance music heavyweight’s ability to transcend genres. He has a seamless fusion of ambient elements and progressive house melodies.
This newest sound ushers in a new era for Jauz. Last year he dropped 2 albums of varying sounds. His debut LP explored progressive–house sounds with Rise of the Wise. He followed that up with the Drum & Bass and Dubstep-infused Wrath of the Wicked– showcasing the producer’s versatility in the electronic music realm.
‘Teardrops’ will take you on a sonic journey through Jauz’s diverse sound. His take on the trending stutter vocal is wonderful. This track seems to cross the boundaries between the wise and the wicked. It is wise with its beauty but also wicked with its breakbeat, and DnB-like drum patterns.
Jauz is embarking on a huge Wise vs. Wicked 2024 Tour. It kicks off in April in Philadelphia and then Hits New York, Seattle, Denver, Toronto, Austin, and San Francisco.

“Left, Right” has a whole new meaning thanks to Alesso. His latest track ‘Zig Zag’ has been sending crowds into a frenzy. You will be skipping that “chit-chat” and dancing all night long. An inviting vocal pulls you in before a groovy and electric drop.
I think it is impossible not to feel the vibes in this one. It is expertly crafted to keep your feet moving and “hit that zig zag.” Crowds have certainly been loving it. The 2nd build has even more tension and power than the first. You will find yourself having this one on repeat on New Music Friday.
This marks Alesso’s first release of the year. He had an awesome 2023 with tracks with Dillon Francis and Ty Dolla $ign. The Swedish DJ is currently on tour with a huge Red Rocks show coming up in April. He also will be hitting EDC Vegas, Beyond Wonderland Chicago, Waam Festival, Weekend Festival, and Daresbury this Summer.

Anyma’s progressive perspective on human consciousness and technology is effortlessly encapsulated in his sophomore album, Genesys II.
The influential producer, who co-founded the Afterlife imprint and produces music as one half of the duo Tale of Us, infuses thematic depth into his techno soundscapes. Continuing the futuristic narrative from his debut album, Genesys, Anyma’s cinematic style acts as a bold comment on where humanity is headed, and how our relationship with machines will progress over time.
Eerie, dystopian melodies collide with techno kicks and haunting synths throughout the new album, which comprises two discs and 21 tracks. The first 10 songs are all original tunes from Anyma, including recent hit singles "Pictures of You" and "Higher Power." Disc two features 11 remixes by a slew of artists including Cassian, Adriatique and Eric Prydz.
Genesys II begins with a striking collaboration with PARISI titled "Sacrifice," where distorted vocals build into a hair-raising techno breakdown to encapsulate Anyma's signature sound. The track sets the stage for a captivating run as the journey continues with "Now or Never," "The Light" and "Simulation," a trio of powerhouse tracks rooted in the themes of consciousness, coexistence and connection.
Elsewhere in the album, "F.T.L.," Hear Me Now" and "Exodus" allow Anyma to showcase his singular production style, layering thumping techno beats and otherworldly synths with powerful vocals. Its first disc culminates in "After Love," a poignant track that explores the range of human emotion through chilling, dreamlike soundscapes.

Anyma, who was named one of EDM.com's best artists of 2023, recently performed sold-out shows at Afterlife’s massive two-night run during Miami Music Week. He's now set to play a highly anticipated solo set at Coachella as well as a three-hour b2b performance alongside Eric Prydz on the festival's new Quasar Stage.

Contrary to local reports, a Tomorrowland festival has not yet been confirmed to take place in Thailand, Tomorrowland spokesperson Debby Wilmsen tells EDM.com.
Citing Thai government spokesman Chai Wacharonke, numerous media outlets have reported that the organizers of the iconic, Belgium-based EDM festival have confirmed a new event in Thailand in 2026. However, while Tomorrowland's proprietors are currently exploring an expansion into the country, they're in the due diligence phase and have not yet solidified plans for a new festival.
"In December the Tomorrowland team had the privilege of engaging in discussions with various parties and exploring potential locations for a Tomorrowland festival in Thailand," Wilmsen tells EDM.com. "Deeply touched by the warm support, we must clarify the recent speculation: nothing has been officially confirmed or signed at this time. The Tomorowland team is diligently conducting thorough research and exploration to assess the feasibility of hosting Tomorrowland in Thailand. There is still much to be investigated."
Wacharonke also said Tomorrowland's unconfirmed inaugural festival in Thailand is the first of 10 consecutive editions, per The Japan Times. That claim is also unfounded at the time of this writing.
"We continue to work towards bringing the magic of Tomorrowland to new destinations, but for now, all focus on the 20th anniversary of Tomorrowland in Belgium," Wilmsen added.
She also noted that Tomorrowland is "very honored that the Thai authorities are eager to welcome us" as their team evaluates the viability of a new festival in the region.
"Tomorrowland has a real interest in Thailand and is seriously exploring the possibility of a festival in the Kingdom," she said. "For now Tomorrowland explores the feasibility of such a project. At this stage, there is no confirmation yet on an actual festival taking place, this is what the feasibility study will make clear."
Tomorrowland recently expanded to Colombia after announcing a new edition of their CORE offshoot in Medellín. That event is scheduled for May 11-12 at the Botanical Garden of Medellín.
Meanwhile, 400,000 people are expected to attend the flagship Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, which will take place in Boom across two weekends: July 19-21 and July 26-28. This year's festival will celebrate the brand's 20th anniversary with a lineup featuring Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Hardwell and many more electronic dance music superstars.

Desthen‘s “The New Path” is a great example of how well they can create magical soundscapes. Out on Deep Tales.
The music on “The New Path” takes the viewer into a world of ethereal soundscapes and haunting melodies. This shows how good Desthen is at making things. It has a lot of complex layers and emotional rhythms that make it sound like deep, reflective electronic music. Each part is carefully made into the whole. All of them weave a tapestry of sound that rises and falls, taking the listener on a trip of self-discovery and inner exploration.

“The New Path” is even darker and driven in Erly Tepshi‘s remix, as if the original track wasn’t interesting enough. In Tepshi’s version, the haunting tune is mixed with heavy, hypnotic beats. All of the sounds work together to make an interesting difference that can be felt in the deepest parts of melodic techno. This new version gives it a sense of urgency and power.
Both versions are out now via Deep Tales.

Zonneveld will be the first artist ever to integrate his specially-crafted AI model, R², into a live electronic music set, promising an experience like no other for electronic music enthusiasts worldwide.
Over the past few years, Zonneveld has fine-tuned R², a cutting-edge AI model that transcends conventional boundaries in music production and performance. The groundbreaking R² AI was trained on over 2000 hours of Reinier Zonneveld’s original music and recordings from more than 1000 live shows spanning the artist’s illustrious 15-year career. In addition to the R² mainstage, there will be seven other stages at the festival hosted by music institutions, labels, and clubs pivotal in Reinier Zonneveld’s history. The Beginning will be featured to pay homage to the illegal rave movement that gave birth to Reinier Zonneveld’s career, while De Marktkantine, the extinct nightlife institution from Amsterdam, is set to revive the energy felt during the many infamous Reinier Zonneveld all-nighters. The Unreal concept, straight from Bootshaus in Cologne, will bring a darker and heavier rave sound to those who want to enjoy harder techno at R², while the Amnesia’s Pyramid concept, where Zonneveld had his first-ever Ibiza residency in 2023, brings the Ibiza vibe to Dutch grounds. Kompass Klub will make its way from Belgium to showcase its intense, passionate atmosphere, and Reinier’s own Filth On Acid imprint is set to showcase some of the label boss’ personal favorite artists.
“I’ve always been excited about pushing boundaries and integrating technology in my performances. Last year, I broke the Guinness World Record for the longest live electronic music set at my own Karren Maar Festival. This year, With R², we’re taking that ethos to new heights. This isn’t just about playing music; it’s about crafting an experience that transcends expectations. I’m super excited to have all these iconic stage hosts at my festival, where R² and I will lead you on a journey into uncharted sonic territory, redefining what’s possible in live performances,” says Reinier Zonneveld.
Festival-goers can expect an electrifying showcase of Reinier Zonneveld‘s iconic sound, elevated to unparalleled heights by the innovative integration of R². This feat is a continuation of Reinier Zonneveld’s innovative approach to challenging himself to reach new milestones in his live sets. Last August, the artist set an entire new Guinness World Record at his own Karren Maar Festival for the longest live electronic music set with original music only.
Tickets for the festival are now on sale, providing attendees with the opportunity to experience the premiere of Reinier Zonneveld‘s R², alongside an impressive lineup featuring top acts from the techno scene and beyond.
