The track ‘Like This’ dropped on Wednesday, April 9th, and it’s an exciting first collaboration between bass music powerhouse NITTI and the genre-blurring trio Levity. This catchy anthem combines Levity’s signature gritty bass style with NITTI’s fresh production touches, and it’s already getting a lot of love on social media. Plus, it gives fans a sneak peek of Levity’s upcoming EP, which looks like it’s going to be one of their most adventurous projects yet. From the get-go, ‘Like This’ bri

If you were listening to the radio in 2008 (like most of us; Spotify was only founded in 2006 and didn’t gain popularity for a few years), there’s no way you could avoid hearing “Sex On Fire” by Kings of Leon. It was absolutely everywhere. Now, 15 years later, the song has been given a modern dance spin by NITTI, fka Nitti Gritti. As Audien loves to say, progressive house never dies, and NITTI transforms the rock classic an emotional progressive house ballad. Personally I wish a bit more of the

At 25 years young, Alfie Channell brings style and prowess beyond the number. He gets it from a variety of sources, both externally influenced, and from the heart. His mother and father’s eclectic tastes had him hooked at an early age. Growing up in South London between two households, each of his parents indulged him in everything from soulful 4-4 to indie-rock. On top of being surrounded by tasteful rhythms, he’s inherited a natural feel for them too – picking up the bass in his young tee

Revered electro-house producer No Mana has just capped off the year with the last of his trifecta of releases on Monstercat, “Space.” After making a name for himself as a regular on mau5trap, the Filipino-American producer/DJ has hit the ground running with a trio of releases on Monstercat. Coming off the heels of his previous two Monstercat releases, “Space” should make No Mana’s longtime mau5trap fans feel the most at home. It’s an anthemic and euphoric track that showcases No Mana’s 8-bit pr

A year ago yesterday, Garrett Lockhart, known to fans as i_o, tragically passed away. It’s hard to believe it’s been a full year; then again, the past 12 months have seemed like a fever dream to a lot of people. However, to those close to G, it’s been a year bereft of their best friend. In honor of the one-year anniversary of his passing, No Mana set out on a journey to recreate the two’s iconic B2B at the parliamentARTCAR from EDC Las Vegas 2019. The set ended up more packed than either of the

Original Photo by Ivan Meneses for Insomniac Events Earlier this month, Insomniac put on the 28th edition of Nocturnal Wonderland, North America’s longest running rave. I was lucky enough to attend once again this year, and like a Swiss train, Nocturnal just consistently delivers. Whether it’s the immaculate vibes that cannot be matched by any other Insomniac fest, the always stacked lineup, the familiar venue and setup, or the Cosmic Equinox itself; Nocturnal retains its uniqueness and charm

The 2024 edition of Nocturnal Wonderland, an electronic dance music festival held in San Bernardino, has been cancelled due to the impact of California's devastating Line Fire, according to the event's organizers. Insomniac Events today released a statement announcing they've pulled the plug on the outing, its longest-running festival property, after engaging in discussions with local authorities. "While Nocturnal Wonderland was cleared to move forward at the time of our last update, we are sadd

What is the secret to longevity? Is it the strength of product and brand, the ability to adapt to changing times, having your finger on the pulse, some combination of all of the above? Whatever the secret is, there is no doubt that Pasquale Rotella and his creative team at Insomniac have the formula down pat. Witness another stacked and packed edition of Nocturnal Wonderland, North America’s longest running rave, which went down earlier this month at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino.

This track may have the potential to become a top, underrated banger of the fall season coming from a rising DJ/producer. This release sure does have the power to turn up the heat on dance floors with a unique, vibrant West Coast groove, which also has phenomenal house music vibes as well. ‘BNP’ is a vibrant reflection of NOISES’ Latin heritage, and the track

NOISIA is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Even more accurate is they’re the guest at a party who is trying to leave but keeps bumping into people before they can get to the door. The trio announced their imminent breakup in September 2019 and a Farewell tour to go along with it, but COVID got in the way of that. The tour was extended into 2021, and then again into 2022. Now, we’re learning that they have one final send off before they take their final bow: a new album. Split The Atom, the

Three weeks ago, we reported on a tweet from NOISIA announcing a “third and final album.” At the time, we were so excited about the prospect that we failed to notice the day of the tweet: April 1. Based on the trio’s previous revelation of their imminent breakup, and the realization of the day, we were made to believe it was, in fact, an April Fool’s tweet. However, today, that has been proven demonstrably false. NOISIA will release their third and final album, Closer, on May 12. The 20-strong

In September 2019, Noisia aka Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen, and Thijs de Vlieger announced that the group would split at the end of 2020; the final chapter in a hugely successful 20 year career that saw Noisia break new ground for drum & bass, and become one of the most respected outfits in electronic music. Faced with no festivals in 2020, Noisia decided they’d release a live version of their ‘Outer Edges’ AV show, the touring show which surrounded the release of the ‘Outer Edges’ album.

The announcement from Dutch electronic music legends, Noisia, that they’d recorded a surprise third and final artist album, ‘Closer‘, was recently heralded by fans, peers, and media alike. Although, for many in the US, the announcement falling on April 1 did result in a bit of confusion as to whether it was genuine. Fortunately, Closer was truly released today, and it underscores Noisia’s phenomenal musical legacy, both within drum & bass and wider electronic music; the album includes 11 ne

Noisia’s farewell has been prolonged longer than anyone initially thought, thanks to the global pandemic. Announcing their imminent breakup all the way back in 2019, the farewell tour was supposed to conclude by the end of 2020. The pandemic saw otherwise. Even at the end of 2021, they still have some shows to get done before they say goodbye for good. “Hey friends, quick update for the shows we weren’t able to do the last few months: we’ve decided that we’ll open up a short tour window before
