  1. Bleu Clair’s new EP, Inner Circle, is an embodiment of his “NEWAGEOFHOUSE” movement, intended to shake up the house scene’s sonic quotidian. With the spry six-pack (which Bleu Clair says he “put his heart & soul into”), he does just that. Across Inner Circle, the Indonesian producer engages different styles of house sound, like the techier elements that run through the EP, or the classic house on “Hold On” with Tania Foster. The project is Bleu Clair’s first release of 2024 and arrives just ahead of a four dates at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, where Bleu Clair will appear as support for Martin Garrix from June 12 – 15. It comes on the heels of his recently-concluded Spring North American Tour. 2. Asher Shashaty and Dani King’s new collaboration, “LA On My Mind,” is a sparkling, easy-listening number led by King’s evocative vocals. Memorable for her work with Ace Aura and Bear Grillz, among other dance artists, King has released music on prominent labels in the space, including Wakaan, Monstercat, Disciple, and NCS. The song’s lyrics pay homage to quintessential LA imagery, like the sand of its many beaches and Pasadena’s mountains. “I wrote these lyrics in 2016 as a tribute to all of my friends in LA. To the people I fell in love with, to my best friends, to all of the people who make this place home. I love you LA,” King shared in a June 7 tweet. “LA On My Mind” marks Shashaty’s second release of 2024, following March’s “EYES” with whoskevin? The producer has a wealth of new music to come, including collaborations with Luma, Messinian, and Mayor Apeshit. 3. Three is indeed company, as Luca-Dante Spadafora, MOTi, and VIZE evince on their hard techno stomper, “Let Me Go.” This collaboration sees songwriter/producer/DJ Spadafora team up with Amsterdam native MOTi and global touring act VIZE to ride the wave of hard techno’s recent ascent into the mainstream. Their combined efforts deliver a track that pulsates with relentless energy, primed to bag on speakers and dance floors alike. “Let Me Go” is out now via Spinnin’ Records. Stream it below. 4. The title of LEFTI’s latest single says it all. On his seventh release of the year, the Quincy Boy Records head ignites dance floors with the energy of a peak-time warehouse thumper, outfitted with analog acid elements and a robust tech house foundation. “I’m On Fire” arrives hot on the heels of LEFTI’s May collaboration with Husko, “Another Day.” It continues his recent hot streak, which has led the producer to release new music every month this year since February’s “Just The Beat.” This litany also includes his Release Yourself EP, which landed in mid-April. Whereas “Another Day” took Husko and LEFTI to Basement Sound, with “I’m On Fire,” LEFTI returns to his own imprint. Stream the single below. 5. “Girls don’t need nobody.” It’s an infectious chant that has quickly invited mass sing-alongs at festivals like Coachella. But “girls don’t need nobody” isn’t just a catchy phrase. It’s a statement, which captures the sentiment of a generation redefining love and relationships. girl’$’: A Song Inspired by Dating Frustration and Modern Choice Australian DJ Dom Dolla‘s first single of the year, ‘girl$‘, dropped June 7th on Three Six Zero Recordings, Ministry Of Sound UK, and Sony Music ANZ, and it is more than just a dance floor anthem — it’s a rallying cry for navigating the modern dating scene. “‘girl$’ was inspired by a conversation I had with a bunch of friends who were all tired of bad dates. They were giving up on the whole charade,” Dom shared. “In ‘24, we have so much choice. Nobody is limited by who they want to love or spend time with, whether that’s a guy, girl, or even just relish in their own company.” Collaboration & Inspiration: Dom Dolla on the Song’s Creation Fan videos featuring the song have already amassed over 46 million views, proving the global resonance of this anthem for independence. Dom adds, “I wrote the lyrics based upon a story a friend relayed to me about a wild night out she had. I recorded it and heavily affected my vocals, but felt it needed a strong female performance, so I reached out to my good pal Caitlin Stubbs and asked if she was keen to re-perform the vocal. Her voice is fantastic and suits the record so well. I even left some crumbs of my vocal in there too.” From Vegas to Ibiza: Dom Dolla Rides the Momentum Dom Dolla continues his incredible momentum from 2023, with performances slated across the UK and EU, including stops at Tomorrowland Belgium and Ibiza’s Ushuaïa night club this summer. He’s currently in the midst of a Las Vegas residency at LIV in Fontainebleau. Tickets for Dom’s Australian tour instantly sold 150,000 numbers, months in advance. 6. This one is pure Argentinian ear candy. Don’t miss out on it. Double prize today for those who love some good ‘ole Progressive Trance tunes. Right as we were wrapping up our Friday, something popped up on the radar — or rather, someone: Tomas Abester. And after giving the Digital Drift album a proper listen, this one feels like the worthy successor to close the day on quite a high. We’ve had him on here a couple of times already, not long ago when he released his Gallant debut ‘Altares‘, and earlier, when he unleashed ‘Year Of The Dragon‘ alongside Ren Faye. A core rising element of the Argentinian scene, his sound has got to heights from the likes of Paul van Dyk, JES, and many more. His latest single, ‘Runa’, is out now, and boy is it a belter. ‘Runa’ Following a string of releases, ‘Runa’ is Abester’s arrival at Antima Music, carrying his iconic sounds over to new destinations. The essence of his craft is untouched, though, pairing potent growls and hard-hitting drops with delicate, verge-of-tears atmospheres, for the ultimate sonic combo. As is the norm with his pieces, this tune also has a special meaning behind it, which goes beyond the mere musical aspect of the arrangement and offers answers as to why the title is what it is: “Viking runes have always played that role of mystery in history. It is an interesting concept and I wanted to capture it with that mysterious whisper in the track.” -Tomas Abester The first thing you’ll notice is how strong the kick-snare link is. As the song unfolds you’ll start to hear less of the beat and dive into the break, which is bound to captivate you through the clever use of pulsing distant sounds, an upfront melody, and that mysterious whisper Abester mentions. We’re over the moon with this one. Listen to Tomas Abester‘s ‘Rune‘ by hitting the ‘Play’ button on your Spotify player attached below. 7. UK duo Solardo and it's murph have joined forces for a new house track, "Fetish," released on the former's own Sola Records. When Solardo arrived LA, they entered a session together for the first time, according to murph. During that initial meeting, they listened to parts of a four-hour Solomun extended set, which sparked the inspiration for "Fetish." Inspired by the techno and house music icon's work, they completed the track in just eight hours. So they decided to release the track, which they maintain was specifically produced for dancefloors rather than mainstream appeal, to coincide with the closing of Miami's iconic Club Space for the summer. Underpinned by the seductive vocals of ero808, the beat of "Fetish" grooves with gritty drums and textured synths. It's dark and captivating, the perfect soundtrack for a sweaty, underground dancefloor. Listen to "Fetish" below and find the new single on streaming platforms here. 8. The Swiss producer and Sirup Music label head has revealed another progressive house track that will melodically flow throughout the atmosphere. EDX, who just came off of releasing his recent track, ‘Vividra’, a couple months ago, has released ‘Setema’ and the track is something that one can enjoy in any occasion, whether at a beach party with the sunset in the background or in the comforts of the living room or bedroom. This track has seen itself gained fans in numerous dance hotspots around the world such as Miami and Ibiza before its official release today for streaming platforms. The track has rolling bass-lines that perfectly complements the vocal chops and percussive melodies that sets the tone for the track as a whole. Additionally, EDX ensures that ‘Setema’, released via PinkStar Records, will continue to radiate throughout the whole environment with groovy vibes that also bring out positive feelings that can motivate the listeners to continue having great emotions about their lives, especially as they surround themselves with similar, like-minded individuals who also want the same emotions as well when they listen to the track. 9. Framework’s recent event in Exposition Park featuring Solomun, Nala, and Julia Sandstorm introduced an innovative and unique stage design and custom visual production. The original show was scheduled in Oxnard, California, at the Mandalay Generating Station. The custom-built stage was designed to resemble a power plant, as the production company had to improvise due to a location change. Framework did an excellent job. The stage included projection mapping of power plant imagery, creating an immersive experience for the audience. The stage also featured Tesla coils, which produced lightning effects in rhythm with the music. Pyrotechnics and smoke machines were also utilized to enhance the atmosphere. Visuals were mixed live, responding to the music in real time without prior rehearsal with the artists. Anyone with an eye for production technology would recognize the work and detail that was put into the stage design, specifically the visual effects. While the visuals and production technology were certainly impressive, so was the 6-hour set from Solomun. The DJ/Producer is relatively famous for his lengthy marathon-like DJ performances. Framework is returning to the Expo Lawn West consistently this summer with performances by Hot Since 82 for Knee Deep in Los Angeles, Anjunadeep Open Air Los Angeles, Nora En Pure Presents Purified featuring Justin Martin and Worakls, The post Solomun Stuns LA At Exposition Park appeared first on EDMTunes.
  10. If you enjoy a good club anthem but also heavy bass, Doctor P's new single, "Nicotine Baby," might be just the song for you. The fresh track is rooted in dubstep, but its producer, one of the genre's most influential, has intentions of going far beyond a singular stylistic classification. "I really wanted to make a crossover between dubstep and hyperpop," Doctor P said in a statement. "KLEO PATRA's vocals really brought the track to life. I had a lot of fun making this one with her." Off the rip, "Nicotine Baby" picks up steam with eerie bells and chimes followed by KLEO PATRA's lustful lyricism, which paints a hot-blooded picture of energy pulsing between two people. Her vocals then lead to an intense bass drop, fit to make listeners move with excitement and fluidity. This ebb and flow carries throughout the arrangement, cycling between ethereal vocal riffs and choppy bass. "Nicotine Baby" is out now via Circus Records, which Doctor P co-founded alongside fellow dubstep veteran Flux Pavilion. The new single is likely to be heard on his upcoming tour, which kicks off on June 8th before sweeping across Virginia Beach, Dallas, Philadelphia, Tucson and finally Tempe on July 13th. 11. For the first time in nine years, we're getting a new Jamie xx album. Back in 2015, the renowned DJ and producer released his debut solo album, In Colour. Since then he's released a string of singles and remixes as well as I See You with his band, The xx. Now, he's back on his own for the album's monochromatic counterpart, In Waves. Jamie xx recently took to social media to reveal the cover of In Waves, which fans may recognize follows the same stylistic pattern as its predecessor and his collaborative remix album, We're New Here, with Gil-Scott Heron. He also shared a heartfelt message about how his growth in the years since. "It’s been a while…and a lot has happened in that time," he wrote. "Ups and downs, growing up, figuring stuff out and then forgetting it all many times over. Life changing events and world changing events. These waves that we have all experienced together and alone. I wanted to make something fun, joyful and introspective all at once. The best moments on a dance floor are usually that for me." View the original article to see embedded media. Jamie xx has also dropped a new single from the album, "Treat Each Other Right," alongside a dynamic music video that shows a bizarre party. With elderly ravers, nurses giving birth to plastic dolls and a Gordon Ramsey lookalike, his latest will certainly enthrall and perplex while scratching the itch of those looking for more of his club-ready sounds. 12. Here’s a genre-bender EP that will have you deciding between dancing with the lights on or off. Happy Friday! Friday, with “F” as in “New Tunes”. No, not quite. But “F” as in “Freqish“, and that one works flawlessly. We’re excited to share a frankly delicious EP, coming to you from one of Dance Music’s veteran acts. Right from the bat, you know something interesting awaits — and you’d be absolutely correct. Freqish For Brandon Lee, Dance music is a language that transcends words and worlds, using vibrations to reach the deepest fibres of our being. With over two decades of experience as a DJ, producer, engineer, and label owner, he launched the Freqish project in 2020. His debut track, ‘Let’s Get High‘, smashed onto the scene, topping the Beatport Deep House charts and landing in the Top 100 overall. His largest pride is how much dedication and soul he puts into each of his projects. And that statement shines through when you listen to his catalogue. And you’d be in luck if that’s your aim today, for Freqish has just unveiled a new EP to the world: the union of two belters, ‘Come Together Now‘ and ‘The Abyss‘. Come Together Now / The Abyss A daring release which brings back some old while splashing some new into the equation, Come Together Now / The Abyss is Freqish’s latest, available now via Doc Brown’s imprint, Unlearn:Records. These two pieces could very well earn the title of genre-bender, for all we know. The first out of the pair, ‘Come Together Now‘, stands out due to its groove nature, yet with a tense expression, very much like the 2015-and-older Progressive House you’d hear acts like Axwell and AN21 play back then. With pure House notes such as the vocal sample pairing with the slightly crunchy Acid bassline and the lack of 2-and-4 percussion from the get-go, this one will serve as the peak energy moment in sets, we bet. Its counterpart, ‘The Abyss‘, acts as a more theoretically-accurate take on Tech House. Minimalistic, sober, oomphy and energetic, the B-side of this EP makes excellent use of each and every element featured throughout the duration, combining classic machine percussion with full basslines and the occasional melodic signal, made to keep the flame alive and well. Listen to Frequish’s gigantic two-tracker, Come Together Now / The Abyss, by hitting the ‘Play’ button on your Spotify player attached below. Otherwise, don’t hesitate to visit this link to support the release on your platform of choice. And stay tuned to our page for the latest news and views from our beloved Dance music world. 13. Just weeks after the release of their brand-new single ‘Hearts Up’, Luv Foundation UK and Ashley Paul are elevating their hit track with a dynamic music video and two incredible remixes. ‘Hearts Up’ has already made a significant impact, reaching #1 on Ireland’s iTunes Dance Chart and receiving radio support from DJ S.K.T on Kiss FM and Christian Homan on RTE. Now, the song’s success is set to soar even higher with a visually captivating music video and remixes by Miami legend Robbie Rivera and BBC Introducing‘s “One to Watch” Lizzie Curious. The new music video further amplifies the vibrant energy of this deep house tune, adding a visual dimension that enhances the overall experience of the single. The playful animations in the video perfectly complement the infectious and feel-good vibes of ‘Hearts Up’, making it an ideal match for both TV and video streams. Leading the remix charge is Miami house music icon Robbie Rivera, who transforms ‘Hearts Up’ into a dance floor-ready club anthem. Robbie Rivera‘s expertise and creative touch offer a fresh, energetic twist while maintaining the essence of the original track. This one has received a ton of support, most notably by StoneBridge on Sirius XM BPM. Adding to the excitement, Luv Foundation UK and Ashley Paul have also tapped the renowned house star Lizzie Curious for another exceptional remix. Lizzie Curious infuses her version with rave-ready energy, creating a hands-in-the-air vibe that adds a thrilling new layer to the hit single. With these new additions, ‘Hearts Up’ is poised to continue its ascent as a dance music anthem, captivating audiences with its multifaceted appeal.
  14. Following on from his last single ‘Stay’, which has recently passed 1 million streams on Spotify, rising star Alber-K is back on our new music feeds with ‘Imperfect The Same’. This single sees the Belgian artist continue his hot streak of releases as he teams up with vocalist Nino Lucarell to add another hit to his ever growing catalog. At just 28 years old, Alber-K has quickly become one of the standout acts in the Belgian electronic dance music scene. Standing out with his creativity and passion for all things dance music, Alber-K has been described as a “musical prodigy” by industry professionals. Although he may be young, he is no stranger to the scene, having starting playing at the age of 15. That experience and knowledge on the ever-evolving scene has made him understand his own sound even more, evident when you take a listen to his music. His new single ‘Imperfect the Same’, sees him link up with Nino Lucarell for the first time and it’s safe to say they are the perfect pairing. Nino Lucarelli, who has worked alongside acts such as KAAZE, Burak Yeter, Dubvision, Raiden, and more, lays down amazing vocals and lyrics that resonate perfectly with the instrumental that Alber-K created. “I like lyrics that call for happiness, that generate a positive feeling. My dearest wish behind this track is that the people who listen to it have a great summer…” said Alber-K The track holds a blend of authentic and electronic elements, a blend that Alber-K has perfected. Guitar hooks are paired with a violin melody while rhythmic and addictive basslines carry the groove, all combining perfectly to create a summer anthem that we can’t get enough of. Stream this single below.
  15. Now that her satirical a cappella has securely embedded itself in pop culture, Megan Boni, familiarly known as social media personality Girl On Couch, has released an updated single version of “Man In Finance,” this time produced by David Guetta. Originally sampled by London-hailing electronic duo Billen Ted, “Man In Finance (G6 Trust Fund)” first hit streaming platforms on May 17th, a short turnaround after Boni originally posted the massively viral TikTok on April 30. Now, over one month since being a six-foot-five, finance-working trust fund baby (with blue eyes) became indispensable dating criteria, Boni has finalized a collaboration with one of the most streamed DJs of all time. In honor of Boni and David Guetta’s moment-seizing new record, Dancing Astronaut sat down with Girl On Couch herself to discuss the release, her recent appearance next to Guetta in Las Vegas, and what might be in store for the 26-year-old social media star. Read the exclusive Q&A and stream the latest edition of “Man In Finance” before. What kind of music did you grow up on? Megan: “I grew up on Britney Spears, Panic! At The Disco, Green Day, Kesha…” Did you have a sense of the dance music landscape before all of this, or was it completely foreign? Megan: “I mean, I had a sense. I went to raves all the time in high school. But the industry as a whole is definitely very foreign to me.” What would Megan a year ago say to you now that you’ve collaborated with David Guetta? Megan: “I would laugh, honestly. I’m still laughing. He’s literally a legend, like the top DJ in the world it seems. I was super nervous to meet him, and I was told he didn’t speak very good English. The first thing I said when we met was, ‘Bonjour!’ But then he started speaking in fluent French and I was like, ‘Wait, that’s all I know!’ I feel like he got my humor right away and we just sort of clicked.” You recently appeared at Encore Las Vegas to play out “Man In Finance,” live, next to David Guetta. Can you speak on that experience? Megan: “I’ve already been asked to go to Germany, London, and Ibiza next week. I’m just like, ‘I need to go to my family beach house and sit on the couch for a little.’ I was asked to fly to Vegas like two days before. Luckily, I had no plans that weekend so I could make it work, but I’m definitely going to need to figure out a balance. I also hate traveling… So I’m like, ‘Can I fly first class at least?'” In an ideal world, what do you hope to gain from this moment in time? Megan: “Well, I’ve started taking acting classes… I obviously want to run with the song all summer. I want to see what we can do with it, but the goal would to be on like SNL writing parody songs—I think I would be really good at that.” The post Megan Boni (Girl On Couch) and David Guetta unite for ‘Man In Finance’ [Q&A] appeared first on Dancing Astronaut.

  18. Legendary Daft Punk co-founder Thomas Bangalter has released the soundtrack of CHIROPTERA, a performance developed in collaboration with the Paris Opera House back in November 2023. Bangalter at the time joined the artist JR and choreographer Damien Jalet, with whom he developed the "unprecedented" show and commissioned 154 dancers to bring it to life at the dazzling Parisian venue la Galerie du 19M. In the wake of Daft Punk's shocking 2021 split, Bangalter has actively worked to reinvent himself as a composer. The influential producer recently released his original soundtrack for Mr. Oizo's French comedy film Daaaaaalí!, which followed a classical album called Mythologies. He's now released "CHIROPTERA MATIERE PREMIERE," a six-hour mix of the haunting, ambient music from its eponymous production. The soundtrack is out now via Bangalter's label, Alberts & Gothmaan, an anagram of his name. In celebration of the release, Bangalter also revealed ALETHEIA 19, an impending "sound installation" comprising "19 monophonic microgrooves cut on vinyl and presented in a simultaneous unsynchronised playback," according to a press release. Part of JR's DANS LA LUMIERE exhibition, the project will display in Paris' Espace Saint-Claude from June 7-15, 2024. Check out Bangalter's full soundtrack below. Fans can find the music on streaming platforms here and pre-order bespoke vinyl via the Alberts & Gothmaan Bandcamp page.
  19. The hunted becomes the huntress in Swedish House Mafia's new single, "Lioness." Prowling into a sonic savanna of swelling house music, "Lioness" arrives hotly anticipated. Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello had confirmed a mid-April release, but they decided to delay it after playing the song live because they "weren't satisfied with the production and needed to do last minute changes," the band said at the time. After slithering in with an eerie flute pattern, Swedish House Mafia's production stalks forward with hypnotic intensity as Niki & The Dove's haunting vocals pounce on the beat, defiantly chanting, "You can't keep me down, I am done, I am furious." Together with its fierce, propulsive drop, the song conjures imagery of a badass feline adorned in ceremonial black and gold warpaint, eyes blazing. "Lioness" is out now via Republic Records. Check out the new single below. In other Swedish House Mafia news, the influential trio is heading to Ibiza this summer for a historic DJ residency at the fabled Ushuaïa, one of the world's top clubbing destinations. After performing there just once in 2023, they'll now return every Sunday from July 21st to August 25th for their first residency on the White Isle in over a decade. In addition to the six-week residency, Axwell, Ingrosso and Angello are set to perform as Swedish House Mafia at Ultra Korea, Panama Open Air Festival and Tomorrowland's momentous 20th anniversary festival, among other high-profile appearances. 22. Hope is never far away in the midst of a dance—a concept the Tim Bergling Foundation knows all too well. The foundation, whose namesake pays homage to the late Avicii, recently took to social media to announce the return of its "Dance For Life" initiative. Organized in Sweden to raise awareness of Suicide Prevention Day, which occurs on September 10th, the initiative originated last year at Lund's Polhemskolan high school and successfully danced its way to change, garnering participation from over 120 schools. Its objective is to gather students together in song and confront the conversation surrounding suicide prevention, and all the ways in which their peers can be heard in the midst of their struggles. "Today, on average, three young people take their lives each week," the foundation wrote. "Dance for Life is working to change this by spreading awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide." View the original article to see embedded media. The Tim Bergling Foundation is managed by Avicii's family, who made it their mission to advocate for the recognition of suicide as a global health crisis through philanthropic endeavors. Spearheaded by Avicii's father, Klas Bergling, the organization has carried out a multitude of events in the artist's honor after his tragic death by suicide in April 2018. The foundation is encouraging any schools ranging from elementary to adult education centers to sign up to be a part of the heartening event.
