HABITAT’s Metaflora Volume 2 Compilation is Out Now
HABITAT is back with a second volume of its much-loved Metaflora series. This is another bumper 24-track collection that shows off its diverse sound and the many different talents the imprint has on the roster. HABITAT’s second iteration of Metaflora kicks off with Mind Against in collaboration with CAY on ‘Floral‘, a spine-tingling Melodic House cut that sets a great tone from the off. Undercatt‘s ‘Split‘ layers up lush bell sounds with warming beats, and Read the News brings elastic bass and chopped-up vocal fragments to the edgy ‘Gossip‘, while the mid-section induces many highlights from the likes of Dyzen who offers the gloriously piano-laced Deep House of ‘She Likes‘, and Ae:ther whose ‘Ravenous‘ is a tense, percussive, trap cut that puts you in a moody atmosphere with bright synth lines. The likes of Upercent also bring their own signature style to a deep, classy and evocative House and Techno that is full of detail and emotion. These tracks are well sequenced and so they play out like a DJ set in their own right, with dark moods from ‘Memory‘, grotty percussion from Vincent Vossen and delightfully tender piano chords from Toto Chiavetta on his mystic cut ‘Heiwa‘.The final section of this essential collection takes in many more standouts from on-form artists like Vaert, Soma, emceed and None Eyes, then comes to a close with the deft sound designs and taught rubbery kicks of Aries‘s majestic ‘Lights and Shadows‘. HABITAT‘s Metaflora Vol. 2 is another crucial collection of contemporary club sounds from one of the best labels in the game. You can listen to it below. Stay tuned for more news! UMF 2024 Recap: Rain or Shine, We Kept Raving
Ultra Music Festival (UMF) returned once again to Miami last month from March 22-24. Some 55,000 ravers from around the world gathered at Bayfront Park to experience the magic and music of this year’s festival. From mainstage headliners to underground sensations, the lineup boasted an impressive roster of DJs and producers, ensuring there was something for every taste and preference. Testing the (Rain) Waters In our eyes, Ultra Music Festival has always been a top tier festival. It’s incredible organization, star-studded lineup, and immaculate stage production make it truly one of our favorites. However, at this year’s festival, we saw UMF’s abilities put to the test as an unexpected headliner showed up late on the first night- the weather. A historic amount of rain, thunderstorms, and a tornado watch caused the festival to issue an emergency evacuation just after 9pm on Friday night. This unexpected turn of events necessitated some innovative rescheduling- delaying the festival’s start time to 4pm on Saturday. Despite these setbacks, UMF persevered. They worked out a deal with the City of Miami to extend the festival by one hour on Saturday, allowing some of Friday’s cancelled performances like Hardwell and Amelie Lens to be squeezed back into the lineup. By delaying Saturday’s start time, the UMF team worked tirelessly to ensure the venue was safe and ready for ravers to return the next day. Production, Production, Production For a festival of its size, Ultra pays great attention to the details. Each of the seven stages had its own unique design, from Main Stage’s triangular LED screens and firework displays to the World Wide stage’s 360-degree futuristic arch design. Some of the smaller stages like Oasis and the Live Stage had a more intimate feel, allowing fans to get closer to and feel more connected with the artist. One of the most impressive feats of the festivals- at least in my opinion- was the nightly drone show. With over 400 drones taking the sky each night, the drone show could be seen from all over the festival and featured some absolutely insane designs in the sky. Ultra truly continues to amaze us with the incorporation of technology into their festival production each year. Top 5 Noteworthy Moments 1. The return of Calvin Harris Amidst a festival brimming with surreal experiences, Calvin Harris‘ electrifying finale on the Main Stage on Sunday night stood out as an indisputable highlight. Making his long-awaited return after 11 years, Harris delivered a masterclass in crowd control, captivating us with timeless classics such as ‘Feel So Close’ and igniting frenzied techno-driven euphoria during his spectacular conclusion. 2. The collab we all needed but nobody expected… Armin x Bon Jovi One of the most surprising highlights of the weekend occurred when Armin van Buuren welcomed rock icon Jon Bon Jovi to the stage. The duo unveiled a previously unheard collaboration—a spine-tingling remix by van Buuren of Bon Jovi‘s iconic 1992 hit, ‘Keep The Faith’. 3. ISOKNOCK Before Ultra officially kicked off, one of the undeniable highlights of its lineup was the rare back-to-back set featuring RL Grime, a highly esteemed figure in the electronic music realm, and Knock2, a rising star representing the genre’s future. Together, they delivered what could be argued as the standout performance of the weekend. At one thrilling moment, they even brought out another emerging talent, ISOxo, to debut an explosive collaboration, adding another layer of excitement to their already stellar set. 4. Kasablanca’s Comeback from Cancer Kasablanca delivered a deeply touching moment during their Saturday night performance at the Live Stage. The synth-driven duo mesmerized the audience throughout their set, however, the best moment occurred when Micky Kasablanca took center stage to share his personal journey. Having recently battled cancer and undergone rigorous chemotherapy, Micky expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to perform once again. In a powerful display of resilience, the duo unveiled a new collaboration, serving as a beacon of hope amidst their adversity. This emotional and uplifting moment underscored the transformative power of music, reminding attendees of its ability to inspire and unite. 5. DNB! Drum and bass is making a comeback, which was evident across Ultra Music Festival this year. Artists across stages incorporated some DNB mixes into their set, including a few noteworthy and completely unexpected drops from Martin Garrix. And of course, Chase & Status were there too. The DNB kings themselves have gained garnered attention from all over the electronic music world in the past few years, asserting themselves as experts in the genre and playing a set at Ultra that was truly unforgettable. See You Next Year, Ultra Miami As the final beats echoed across the festival grounds and the lights dimmed on another crazy weekend, Ultra Music Festival once again proved why it remains one of the premier events in the electronic music calendar. With its unbeatable lineup, stunning production, and commitment to innovation and sustainability, Ultra Music Festival 2024 left attendees eagerly awaiting next year’s edition, promising even bigger and better experiences on the horizon.

This Technology Lets Plants Play Live Music With Bionic Arms
When green thumbs meet robotic arms, you know the future is now. The seemingly far-fetched concept of plants performing live music is now a reality brought to life by the Manchester-based musical duo Bionic and the Wires, who have unveiled a novel invention that allows plants to do exactly that. The groundbreaking development is being showcased during a performance at Castlefield Viaduct on April 20th, marking a budding frontier in musical exploration. The inventive apparatus equips plants with bionic robotic arms, enabling them to produce music from a traditional steel handpan drum and even a violin. At the core of their performance, the duo uses sensors attached to the plant's leaves to detect bio-signals generated during photosynthesis. The signals are then converted into electrical inputs that power the robotic limbs, enabling the plant to interact with musical instruments. The sight of a plant not only producing music but also doing so through sophisticated technology is certain to be memorable. So next time you pass by a garden, listen closely—it might be nature's next big hit. “We've spent many months researching and developing the new bionic robot arms," Jon of Bionic and the Wires said in a statement shared with EDM.com. "It’s exciting to think that with this invention we may have opened up the opportunity for a whole new genre of music. Maybe it’s called bionica!?" You can find out more about the band's upcoming performances here.

Ticketmaster’s Live Nation To Be Met With Antitrust Lawsuit From The Department Of Justice
In a major development for the live entertainment industry, the Department of Justice’s antitrust division is reportedly preparing to file a complaint against Live Nation and Ticketmaster. This potential lawsuit comes two years after launching an investigation into the two companies, following a series of controversies and allegations of anticompetitive practices. The investigation was first revealed in November 2022, following Ticketmaster’s botched on-sale rollout for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which highlighted long-standing issues such as wait times and high price mark-ups. As politicians joined the chorus of critics, concerns over Live Nation’s alleged monopoly over the live entertainment industry grew. Live Nation has vehemently denied these accusations, with the company’s head of corporate affairs, Dan Wall, recently publishing an essay refuting claims of monopoly. Despite their defense, the impending antitrust lawsuit signals a potential turning point for the industry and could have far-reaching implications for how live events are organized and tickets are sold in the future. In this blog post, we will delve into the background of the DOJ’s investigation, the allegations against Live Nation and Ticketmaster, and the potential impact of the upcoming lawsuit on the live entertainment landscape. Background of the Investigation Ticketmaster’s Taylor Swift ticketing fiasco might have just led to a lawsuit from the DOJ The DOJ’s investigation into Live Nation and Ticketmaster began several years ago, with concerns mounting over the companies’ dominance in the live entertainment market. Live Nation, the world’s largest live entertainment company, merged with Ticketmaster in 2010, creating a powerhouse that controlled various aspects of the concert and ticketing industry. This merger raised red flags among industry observers and competitors, who feared that the combined entity would stifle competition and drive up prices for consumers. Over the years, complaints about Ticketmaster’s fees, ticketing practices, and exclusive deals with venues have continued to surface, fueling the antitrust scrutiny. The 2022 incident involving Taylor Swift’s tour only added fuel to the fire, as fans experienced frustrating delays and exorbitant prices during the ticket purchasing process. These events prompted lawmakers to call for a closer look at Live Nation and Ticketmaster’s business practices, culminating in the DOJ’s formal investigation. Despite Live Nation’s insistence that it operates within the bounds of fair competition, the mounting evidence and public outcry have led to the DOJ’s decision to move forward with a potential antitrust lawsuit. If successful, the lawsuit could reshape the live entertainment landscape and pave the way for a more competitive and consumer-friendly industry. Potential Impact of the Lawsuit The impending antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster has the potential to shake up the live entertainment industry in significant ways. If the DOJ’s complaint leads to legal action, it could result in substantial fines, divestitures, or even the breakup of the companies to restore competition in the market. This outcome could open the door for smaller players to enter the industry, offering more options for artists, venues, and fans alike. Moreover, a successful antitrust lawsuit could prompt changes in how tickets are sold, distributed, and priced for live events. Ticketmaster’s fees and surcharges, which have long been a point of contention for consumers, may come under increased scrutiny, leading to more transparent pricing structures and fairer deals for ticket buyers. Additionally, exclusive contracts between Ticketmaster and venues could be reevaluated, allowing for greater competition and choice in ticketing services. Overall, the outcome of the antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster could have far-reaching implications for the live entertainment industry, shaping the way concerts, festivals, and other events are organized and experienced in the future. As stakeholders await the DOJ’s next move, the industry is bracing for a potential paradigm shift that could redefine the dynamics of live entertainment for years to come. Tomorrowland Brasil 2024 lineup: Alesso, Axwell, Hardwell
Brazil’s state of São Paulo is getting ready for what will be the biggest and most-anticipated music event the country has ever seen. Belgium’s Tomorrowland has unveiled the huge lineups for 2024. This year’s edition will be held in the city of Itu from October 11th to 13th. More than 180,000 people from all over the world are expected to attend the three-day event, which will take place on the lush, green grounds of Parque Maeda. Over 100 of the world’s most popular DJs and dance acts have been asked to appear in a number of mind-bending stage shows. The actual lineup Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Alesso, Axwell, Hardwell, and the famous pair Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike are just a few of the big names on the star-studded lineup. But the list also includes artists from the rougher underground of dance music, such as Charlotte de Witte, Boris Brejcha, Reinier Zonneveld, Anfisa Letyago, and the mysterious No Redemption duo Tchami and Malaa. Top national performing acts like Alok, ANNA, Vintage Culture, and BADSISTA have all been booked to perform at the party. This shows how strong Brazil’s dance scene is becoming. Fans of trance, techno, house, bass, and every other type of electronic music will be able to find something they like, from the main shows to the beach bonfires. Adscendo, Tomorrowland Brasil theme The “Adscendo” theme promises to take people on a mythical, multimedia journey that has never been seen before in Brazil. The impressive Adscendo main stage made its debut in Belgium last year to great reviews. It will now be the main attraction in Brazil for the first time. Today, Tomorrowland is known for its lavish production values and jaw-dropping special effects. These will be on full show. The peaceful park will be completely turned into a neon-lit wonderland with fog, lasers, fireworks, costumed performers, and strange art pieces for three nights. Online pre-registration for tickets is now open, but when the general sale starts on May 2nd, there will be a lot of competition for passes. Prices are likely to be high because there is a lot of demand and not enough space. But for fans of electronic dance music in Brazil, the chance to see Tomorrowland’s famous show in their own country for the first time is valuable. People in São Paulo are already very excited about the one-of-a-kind event. Itu will without a doubt be the center of electronic music in Latin America for one weekend this fall. Pioneering Detroit techno music producer and DJ Carl Craig is Tribeca-bound
The Tribeca Film Festival (June 5-16, 2024) has officially selected Desire: The Carl Craig Story, the new documentary feature from Jean-Cosme Delaloye (Harley) celebrating the Detroit techno legend to screen in the Festival’s Spotlight+ section. Desire: The Carl Craig Story follows Carl Craig’s genre-defying career, from his middle-class roots to global acclaim, as the producer faces challenges that could keep him away from the dance floor. The film, which wrapped production in February, will have its world premiere at Tribeca on June 12, 2024, at 8pm at The Indeed Theater at Spring Studios. Tribeca will also host a press and industry screening on June 13 with subsequent Festival public screenings on the 13th and 15th. Desire: The Carl Craig Story is an intimate portrait of legendary techno producer, DJ and record label founder Carl Craig and an ode to his beloved city, Detroit. Raised in a middle-class African American family, Carl’s parents fostered his artistic pursuits, even if that meant breaking with his family’s tradition of pursuing higher education. With Detroit’s decline and recovery as a backdrop, “Desire: The Carl Craig Story” follows the career of a musical pioneer whose genre-defying techno music— which was inspired by a wide range of sounds, has been performed to jazz enthusiasts at the Montreux Jazz Festival and adapted for classical auditoriums around the world, including Carnegie Hall. Thirty-five years into his music career, Carl Craig, a leading figure of the second generation of Detroit techno artists, has now been embraced by the visual arts world through his Party / After Party installation, with recent exhibitions at MOCA in Los Angeles and Dia Beacon in New York. But at the pinnacle of his creative and deejaying success, the musician faces challenges that could ultimately force him to stay away from the dance floor. The film features artists including Gilles Peterson, Roni Size, Laurent Garnier, DJ Minx, Kenny Larkin, Moritz von Oswald and James Lavelle, who worked with Craig and played a major role in bringing techno and electronic music to the masses over the years. “Desire” is produced by Dan Wechsler for Switzerland’s Bord Cadre Films and Andreas Roald on behalf of the U.K.’s Sovereign Films. The companies previously collaborated on “Triangle of Sadness.” The film is supported by the Federal Office of Culture (Switzerland) and the regional film fund Cinéforom (Geneva). Carl Craig is a multi-disciplined visionary whose eclectic tastes and influences all converge into his “main discipline,” Carl Craig. The Detroit pioneer’s lifelong pursuit of independence and self-gratification is the catalyst behind three decades of innovation and achievement within the realm of electronic music. As the mastermind behind Planet E Communications, Carl conceived and nurtured a platform that preserves his independence while also providing a liberating space for a range of international artists over the last 30 years. Carl’s open-minded approach has led to the release of records that traverse hip-hop, jazz, funk, and more esoteric electronic compositions, purposely avoiding commercial-sounding music. As a producer and performer, Carl’s history is well documented. Under a variety of aliases—69, Paperclip People, C2, and many more—he has produced six LPs, the most recent being Versus, with his back catalogue including credits on over 600 remixes for a diverse cross-section of electronic music artists from Depeche Mode and Tori Amos to his friends Kenny Larkin and Kevin Saunderson, plus many many more. In 2008, Carl’s tireless remix work was recognized at the Grammys, where he was nominated for his rework of Junior Boys “Like A Child.” His contribution to global electronic music culture has been vast. Despite widespread critical acclaim and success, he continues to inject his innovative energy into everything he does, establishing a legacy that will stand long after the wheels of his car finally fall off… The post Pioneering Detroit techno music producer and DJ Carl Craig is Tribeca-bound appeared first on Decoded Magazine.

Terence Fixmer details new LP ‘The Paradox in Me’ via Mute/NovaMute, out June 21st
THE PARADOX IN ME by Terence Fixmer Terence Fixmer announces details of his brand new album release, ‘THE PARADOX IN ME’, and accompanying limited edition 12” vinyl out June 21st. This is his second album for Mute / NovaMute and follows the releases of his ‘PARADOX’ EP series, which shared tracks from the record across specialist digital music platforms. ‘In Synthesis’ single is out today Throughout his influential career, uncompromising French producer Terence Fixmer has straddled a precarious line, master-minding his strain of taut, dancefloor-ready techno while simultaneously paying respect to the EBM sounds that helped crack open his mind as a teenager. In The ‘Paradox in Me’, Fixmer confronts this duality, stretching the limits of dance music by interlacing evocative, cinematic electronics with pounding, peak-time 4/4 pulses. “There’s always a fight between directions,” he says. “This album represents all the sounds I have within me.” Fixmer burst onto the scene in the late 1990s, establishing the Planete Rouge label in 1998, and releasing a slew of influential 12″s under a pseudonym before signing to DJ Hell’s International DJ Gigolos and unleashing Muscle Machine, his acclaimed debut album which pioneered a new genre that merging the sounds of EBM and Techno. Not long later, he achieved a personal milestone, collaborating with Nitzer Ebb vocalist Douglas McCarthy for two albums as Fixmer McCarthy, which bridged the gap between EBM and classic techno. And since then, he’s barely stopped for breath, remixing personal heroes like Front 242, Nitzer Ebb and Depeche Mode, as well as respected peers such as Ellen Allien, DJ Hell, Dave Clarke and Sven Väth, simultaneously building up a canon of work on CLR, Electric Deluxe, Ostgut-Ton and of course, Mute and NovaMute. He channels all this experience into The Paradox in Me, building a world that reconciles his past and present. Fixmer’s passion for electronic music hums from every note and carefully- engineered beat on The Paradox in Me. He’s created an album that plays almost like an autobiography and assembles a world that’s tactile and strikingly visual, capturing the soul of the synthesizer in all its forms. Review – Time Warp’s 30th Anniversary
Not many brands can last 3 years, let alone 30 years, but The 30th anniversary of the Time Warp festival in Mannheim, Germany, was an electrifying celebration that built on three decades of experience and added plenty of extra magic for the special occasion. This is one of the most recognised techno brands in the world, and for good reason – not only does it welcome just about every major artist in the genre Bech and every year – not just to Germany but to other events everywhere from New York to Sao Paulo – but it also deals in high-grade production. A real underground culture has always defined the industry-leading Time Warp and this year was no different with dancers once again leaving attendees in awe. The staggering production offered an extra sensory element to proceedings that took the whole thing up a notch or two and is no doubt part of the reason the festival attracted an estimated 30,000 ravers over the two weekends. Spread across six floors, each offering its own unique vibe, its own carefully curated lineup, its own mesmeric lights and layers and of course beefy sound systems, this year’s event was being called the best yet by plenty of the people we spoke to who had travelled from all over Europe to attend. One of the standout sets from the weekend was the captivating back-to-back session between Hector Oaks and Anfisa Letyago on Friday. They took no prisoners and set the tone for an unforgettable weekend. Sven Väth’s performance on Saturday was another highlight, captivating the crowd with his legendary presence and masterful mixing as he worked through all sorts of colourful techno, curveballs and classics. The diversity of the lineup is also a testament to Timewarp’s dedication to always moving the scene forward and giving new stars as much of a chance as the legends. Each floor offered something special and Floor 6 emerged as the unofficial LGBT floor, featuring sets from DJ Gigolo, Patrick Mason, Clara Cuvé, and Sara Landry, all of whom created a vibrant soundtrack but also an inclusive atmosphere. Floor 3 on Saturday showcased an impressive lineup of house music, with Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, and Stevie Martinez delivering standout performances throughout the night, all of which culminated in an epic back-to-back session. Last but not least, a Time Warp regular Richie Hawtin played a superb closing set on Sunday afternoon on Floor 2 that provided the perfect conclusion to the festival. The weather added an extra layer of excitement to the festival, with glorious sunshine and temperatures reaching 27 to 28 degrees Celsius on Sunday. This was a rather unexpected element as it is more common for rain to fall at this time of the year in Mannheim and so it added amped-up magic to the special anniversary edition. Overall, this landmark edition of Time Warp was a testament to the enduring vision of the founders and the higher-than-ever appeal of techno while the all-important and diverse community of dancers also helped solidify its position as one of the world’s premier techno events. Apple Loses Number One Phonemaker Spot Against Samsung
Apple has officially lost its #1 spot as the top phonemaker, as the company has seen a 10% drop in shipments in the first quarter of 2024. Samsung has now claimed the new rankings, according to recent data from research from IDC on Sunday. Apple first claimed its initial spot after outperforming in sales, overtaking Samsung in the December quarter report. However, Apple saw a steep sales decline during recent months, taking the second spot with a 17.8% market share. Apple saw about 50.1 million iPhones sold, down from 55.4 million units in the same period last year, according to IDC. This drop may relate to some of the challenges the company has been facing, including limitations set on Chinese companies and government agencies to limit employee use of these devices. The California-based company is set to hold its Worldwide Developers Conference in June, where they will reveal some major updates to their device software. Hopefully, these new developments can help push Apple to new growth. However, as of now, Samsung now leads the charge for the best smartphone maker out there. Excision & Fiancé Announce They’re Expecting Their First Child
Congrats are in order for Excision (Jeff Abel) and his fiancé, Emma! The two longtime lovebirds took to social media yesterday afternoon to announce something special. They are expecting their first child together this coming October – just after Lost Lands, set for the end of September. See you in October pic.twitter.com/fpHHksnysL — Excision (@Excision) April 15, 2024 The two announced their engagement at the end of 2023. Emma has been Jeff’s biggest support and partner for many years now. Across all social platforms, many other artists and fans have expressed their excitement for the little dino to arrive. While they have not said the gender of the baby, there are some clues. Emma’s blue nail polish and Excision’s use of the blue heart emoji could be good indicators. Emma took to her socials to post a picture of both and a cute little romper with the phrase “See you in October” printed on it. Along with it, she confessed “Jeff & I cannot thank each and every one of you enough for the incredible support and thoughtful messages we’ve received today!! Our little peanut is already so loved by so many and we are so grateful to have so many wonderful people in our lives. Thank you for making us feel so loved and we appreciate you all!!“. Elohim Drops Heavy New Track ‘Tiny Human’
Building on the success of her January release, ‘Can’t Remember Your Name,’ Elohim continues to pave the way for her forthcoming album with the unveiling of ‘Tiny Human.’ Drenched in a dark, dance-infused ambiance, ‘Tiny Human’ diverges from the luminosity of its predecessor. The track delves into the insignificance of individual existence within the vast cosmos. It evokes a sense of humility in the face of life’s grandeur. Right when the drop hits, you will think of Rezz and her signature sound. Elohim muses on the fragile essence of humanity, navigating the delicate balance between anonymity amidst the masses and the profound moments of self-reflection it fosters. This introspective journey is cocooned in the tender embrace of human vulnerability. Through vivid imagery and metaphorical narrative, ‘Tiny Human’ paints a poignant picture of life’s ephemeral splendor. It is juxtaposed with our role as mere participants in the cosmic ballet. I like how the vocal is delicate and small, but the drop is heavy and huge. The contrasting differences between the breaks and drops keep the record interesting throughout. Make sure to check out ‘Tiny Human’ below! The post Elohim Drops Heavy New Track ‘Tiny Human’ appeared first on EDMTunes.

It is Santos who serves up the originals starting with ‘Where Is The Clubbing?’ which has depth but also drive – rich pads swirl about over the supple kicks and clipped vocals bring the soulful little hooks. French maestro Franck Roger remixes with a little more swing and a stripped-back, late-night feel that is sprinkled with cosmic dust. On the flip, ‘Smooth Jazz’ is just that over cuddly beats as star-gazing piano tinkles and sombre sax notes bring real class. ‘Don’t Fool Me’ shuts down with plenty of Chez Damier-style weight in the kicks and steaminess in the female vocals. StubHub Eyeing Late Summer for IPO
We all know about StubHub by now. Many use the third party site for tickets to various events all around the world. Now, it’s been reported that the major player in online ticket resale markets is aiming for an initial public offering (IPO) by late summer 2024, targeting a valuation of $16.5 billion. According to The Information, StubHub is testing investors’ appetites for cash-strapped companies as the firm has piled up more than $2 billion in debt. Additionally, CNBC has discovered that StubHub has been working with JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs over the last two years to prepare for this IPO. StubHub’s potential IPO also comes about as the world gradually recovers from the pandemic and live events finally getting back into the swing of things, with a few hiccups here and there. Investors may view it as an opportunity to tap into the resurgence of event and mores. However, uncertainties always remain for future industry-affecting issues that may come about in the future. Hopefully this is a good sign for more positive impacts within the event and ticket world. The post StubHub Eyeing Late Summer for IPO appeared first on EDMTunes.

Armin van Buuren and HI-LO talk about their collaboration
Here is “Now Love Will Begin,” a song that mixes different types of music by trance superstar Armin van Buuren and techno superstar HI-LO. HI-LO (Oliver Heldens) and I just click so well. It was apparent during our back-to-back live set at A State of Trance in Rotterdam, and many others were able to see it as well when we connected on stage again in Miami during the Ultra Music Festival. I’m so happy that this natural flow between us extends to our studio work as well. We’re both so passionate about dance music, and I’m having such a great time being producer-nerdy in the studio with him. ‘Now Love Will Begin’ is what came out of it, and I’m so excited for the world to hear what we cooked up together! – Armin van Buuren ‘Now Love Will Begin’ is a groundbreaking mix of techno’s pulsing beats and trance’s euphoric melodies. It was premiered on “A State of Trance” and was a standout track in Armin van Buuren and HI-LO‘s much-talked-about B2B set at A State of Trance Rotterdam. People who hear the song are taken on an exciting trip through both genres, which lights up dance floors and hearts alike. In the last half a year, it’s been awesome working with Armin on several collabs and preparing for our b2b sets. Probably the highlight so far was when all of that came together during our b2b at A State of Trance Rotterdam, and even though the b2b set at A State of Trance Miami didn’t happen in the end due to severe weather conditions, we still had a lot of fun preparing for that set, and in general, it’s been lovely to connect on a deeper level. Our first collab, ‘Now Love Will Begin,’ definitely captures that spirit; I think it’s a meaningful banger of a tune that crosses boundaries, uniting the worlds of techno, uplifting trance, and psy-trance. Enjoy! – HI-LO Get ready to hear the best of both techno and trance, where love and music come together to make pure sound bliss. “Now Love Will Begin” will be out on April 12 through HILOMATIK.
