Today, Manchester’s seminal The Warehouse Project launch WHP Records, in partnership with independent label group, Disorder. Established in 2006, The Warehouse Project has become a cornerstone of Manchester’s cultural landscape. From Boddingtons Strangeways Brewery, to Store Street, and now at the illustrious Depot Mayfield, it stands as a stalwart of the UK’S musical landscape. The main season, spanning from September through to December, is an annual spectacle, featuring the likes of Fred Again… Peggy Gou, Disclosure, Interplanetary Criminal to Four Tet, LCD Soundsystem to Nia Archives, it’s one of the most important dancefloors in Europe. The iconic DJ Awards are making a much anticipated and supersized return after a four year hiatus. Designed to recognise and document outstanding talent, innovation, and contributions within the electronic music community, the 2024 edition takes place on October 2nd. Four Tet has returned to the studio with Skrillex, Ellie Goulding, Fred again.. and more for new music on the horizon. The prolific electronic music producer this week shared demos of five unreleased tracks just a matter of months after dropping Three, his 12th studio album. While each preview is brief, fans can still get an idea of what to expect from Four Tet, who is revered for his ability to oscillate between genres with ease. The first of the five has the working title "Eye" and features a hyperactive beat that gives way to wobbly bass toward the clip's end. The second track will satisfy fans of Tet's 2020 release Sixteen Oceans, considering it's a brand-new collaboration with Ellie Goulding in a similar vein to their track "Baby" from that album. The third demo sees him assume his KH alias (the initials of his full name, Kieran Hebden), for an uplifting, vocal-driven offering with the working title "Still Falling." Fans holding their breath for a reunion with Hebden's Coachella 2023 collaborators, Fred again.. and Skrillex, will be excited to check out the fourth demo, titled "Human Voice PHM version."
