  1. Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week. Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday. Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order. And remember, if you would like to contact us for a chance to feature your track on our page, head over to this link right here. Above & Beyond and PROFF – Fractals Genre: Organic House Ever since legendary trio Above & Beyond hosted the Anjunadeep Edition 500 mix, and announced their Deep Set at Finsbury Park, also for Anjunadeep, we knew something was up. Only we didn’t know it was a double A-sider with one of the most infectiously-sounding producers in the Deep range, longtime friend PROFF. Out of the two tracks, ‘Palermo’ and ‘Fractals’, we decided to pick the latter for our NMF feature. ‘Fractals‘ is a daring piece of tribal-esque Organic House which plays with out-of-sync, Euclidean rhythms and arpeggios, and an irresistible groove. We can surely hear the influence of all artists involved, and we just can’t get enough of it. Tony would say, “Mmmmmmm“. Disciples & Delilah – If I Stay Genre: House, Progressive House Great news for the Dance world happened this week, as Dance music group Disciples came back. The hit-making trio, coauthors, for example, ‘How Deep Is Your Love’, one of the most summery anthems EDM has offered, released a new anthem just yesterday, ‘If I Stay’, alongside gifted vocalist Delilah. Disciples’ comeback tune is built from the ground up over machine-programmed closed hats, then slowly unveiling an evolving atmosphere, warm and cosy, while at the same time introducing the offbeat rhythms the band are known for. It’s a harder, yet still highly melodic piece of House bliss, and it nods to their essence while moving in a new direction. Are you a producer and you want your song featured on EDMTunes? Follow this link right here. Malóne, CJ Jeff, Ellivia – Missing (Back To You) Genre: Afro House, Deep House We’ve been digging the Malóne sound quite a bunch over here. And today we got yet another one of his, with a touch of nostalgia that has us pressing the replay button over and over again. He just joined forces with CJ Jeff and Ellivia to unveil ‘Missing (Back To You)’, a fresh take on the 1994 classic Everything But The Girl singalong ‘Missing’. Released via Spinnin’ Deep, it’s got the best of all worlds, since it features incredible groove over melodic, warm musical beds, and tops it all off with the sensual voice of Ellivia. The Afro-House leaning tune represents the return of the long-gone singalong legend that is the original ‘Missing’. Now we’re able to enjoy hearing a fresh new version at clubs and festivals and, why not, beaches at sunset. Wehbba – Revelation Genre: Techno (Peak-Time) Wehbba made his highly anticipated return to Drumcode this week with the release of his Awaken EP. It had been eighteen months since his last EP on the label, so the anticipation for the Brazilian producer was through the roof. A two-tracker of sorts, it included the title track, ‘Awaken’, and the B-side, ‘Revelation‘. ‘Revelation’ takes listeners on a journey through trippy Techno landscapes, incorporating Eastern scales and drawing influence from ritualistic ceremonies of Middle Eastern and South Asian cultures. The track is a testament to Wehbba’s ability to blend different musical elements and create a unique sonic experience that is both captivating and hypnotic. Audien feat. Jeoff Harris – Living in Color Genre: Progressive House, Dance Pop Grammy-nominated, gold-certified DJ and producer Audien has unveiled his first single, ‘Living in Color,’ off his forthcoming album, HARMONY. Known for his production prowess and uplifting melodies, he has established himself as an icon in the Dance community, garnering the support of industry veterans such as Tiësto, Above & Beyond, and Zedd, and locking in remixes for leaders such as Bastille and Coldplay. Known for his signature Progressive House sound, Audien infuses this tune with a touch of Dance Pop, making it an instant radio hit. The song is a celebration of love and its transformative power, capturing the feeling of being completely enamored with someone. Jeoff Harris’ emotive vocals perfectly complement Audien’s melodic production, resulting in a track that is both euphoric and heartfelt. 2. The world’s largest Dance music festival revealed its numbers for the past year — and to say they’re good doesn’t cut it. WeAreOne.World, the company behind the world-famous Tomorrowland festival, reported a net profit of €8.4 million in 2023. While this is lower than the exceptional €24 million earned in 2022 (which included an extra festival weekend to compensate for pandemic years), it’s a significant improvement over 2019’s pre-pandemic profit of €4.6 million — value which is more comparable to 2023 than 2022 is, due to that extra weekend. The company’s overall revenue in 2023 reached €129 million, down from €164 million in 2022 due to the absence of the additional festival weekend. However, compared to 2019’s €112 million, the revenue indicates a healthy post-pandemic recovery. Expansion, Diversification And Growth WeAreOne.World is leveraging the fame of Tomorrowland to expand its reach. This includes organizing sister festivals in the French Alps and Brazil (Tomorrowland Winter and Brasil), along with events and activities in various countries like Colombia, Mexico, and Dubai (such as the CORE events). The company is also exploring Thailand as a potential future location for a Tomorrowland edition, as we’ve talked about in the past. Beyond festivals and events, WeAreOne.World is diversifying its business ventures. They have established business units dedicated to music (the Tomorrowland Music record label), artist management, fashion, media (radio and fantasy books), and the Tomorrowland DJ Academy, which aims to cultivate new DJ talent. As for the profits generated, WeAreOne.World plans to reinvest most of it for future growth. This includes relocating to a new office in Antwerp and further developing its various projects. The company emphasizes that the success of Tomorrowland serves as a springboard for their broader expansion plans. Finally, it’s a good thing to note the economic impact of Tomorrowland on the local Belgian economy. The 2023 festival involved over 1,200 Belgian suppliers, generating an estimated 557 jobs and €37 million in additional economic activity for the region. Additionally, the event is estimated to have contributed to a €281 million increase in overall economic activity and the creation of 1,900 full-time jobs. 3. Enjoy a refreshing take on a classic we’ve all sung our lungs out to. What a way to kick off this Friday in style. We’ve been digging the Malóne sound quite a bunch over here, with tracks such as ‘Beef‘ alongside Jesse Bravo, and ‘Talk 2 Em Mate‘. And we’re excited to share yet another one of his, which, can only make us say: he doesn’t miss. Today, the Club Space resident and label owner joined forces with Greek producer CJ Jeff and the gifted vocalist Ellivia to unveil ‘Missing (Back To You)’, a nod to the past with a taste of the present. The track is, of course, a fresh take on the 1994 classic Everything But The Girl singalong ‘Missing’. Although the original version of the English duo was rather acoustic and laid-back, it quickly went viral back then with a spectacular spin by DJ Todd Terry, and his remix now stands as one of the most iconic tracks in House music. ‘Missing (Back To You)’ This is not CJ Jeff and Ellivia’s first gathering, as they worked on their debut collaboration ‘One Two Three’ last year, and released it via Spinnin’ Deep, the branch of Spinnin’ Records that also represents a home for ‘Missing (Back To You)’. And it’s got the best of all worlds, since it features incredible groove over melodic, warm musical beds, and tops it all off with the sensual voice of Ellivia. The Afro-House leaning tune represents the return of the long-gone singalong legend that is the original ‘Missing’. Now we’re able to enjoy hearing a fresh new version at clubs and festivals and, why not, beaches at sunset. Malóne opened up about his vision of the project, saying “We wanted to recreate this classic as properly as possible – a special vibe for the summer season, for all the beach clubs and open air vibes worldwide”. He added, “Afro House is one of the biggest sounds in the world right now, so we thought writing something in this lane and style was a great choice of action. ‘Missing (Back To You)’ is melodic with strong drums to create those truly unforgettable moments in a set and party. We are honored about this opportunity to rework such an amazing classic”. 4. Here’s yet another masterful and entrancing production from Mr Gregory. By now you might be familiar with the sound of Simon Gregory. A veteran of sorts, he’s been releasing music for a while now, and has managed to secure a spot on top-tier labels. A Mondo Records resident and one of the most solid figures pushing the Trance sound these days, he’s back once again at home for a beautiful tune. After tracks such as ‘F.O.S’, ‘Feel Music In The Air’, and an entire album’s worth of music released in junction with his partner in crime Nitrous Oxide as their Digital Drift alias, he unveils the next chapter of his sonic story today by lifting the veil on a new single, which goes by the name of ‘Like This’. ‘Like This’ Simon’s latest is a vibrant track. It’s not your average strong Progressive Trance pick, but rather, a much more profound, and deeper take on it. It’s got those lovely warm basslines, shiny percussion, and captivating atmospheres, and it takes you on a journey that screams 2009 all throughout. For some fans out there, this one sounds closer to a truly progressive Progressive Trance piece, making use of each element to portray a mature journey through the feels and the melodies. The icing on the cake is a beautiful vocal, which helps the listeners immerse themselves even more. Listen to Simon Gregory‘s ‘Like This’, by hitting the ‘Play‘ button on the Spotify player below. 15. Audien turns eardrums into kaleidoscopes with his new single, "Living In Color." Out now on Armin van Buuren's venerable Armada label, the producer's latest dance anthem crashes through a monochrome veil with a chromatic downpour of house beats and emotion. He's joined forces with LA-based singer-songwriter Jeoff Harris, whose lyrics surrender to a love so intense it paints the world in hues previously unseen. The line "Waited all my life" is a confession of a lifetime of yearning, distilled into a single, desperate plea. Harris then belts the track's prevailing lyrical grenade, a refrain that echoes like a mantra for the lovestruck and colorblind alike: "You got me living in color." From a production standpoint, "Living in Color" finds Audien channeling his roots to make spirited progressive house music you can feel in your bones. He paints brushstrokes with his uplifting synths, which detonate into incandescent drops full of pigments of his signature sound that dare us to hear—and see—beyond the dull drone of the everyday. His original track “Gaia” topped the Beatport rankings under the sub-label Aural Sonic 138. TORUKK’s versatility shone through with a remix of Aki Harunari’s “New Horizon,” released by RockRiver Records in April 2022. I also played in a band when I was a student. The artist who influenced me the most is Tetsuya Komuro. In terms of trance, I’ve also been influenced by Jorn Van Deynhoven, Ben Gold, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, etc. What kickstarted your music career? When I was a student, I was influenced by Tetsuya Komuro and bought a synthesizer, which is what led me to start playing music. Tell us more about your sound and how it’s evolved over time When I was a student, I was in a band and covered songs by Tetsuya Komuro, and also joined a friend’s rock band and covered a variety of songs. Then work got busy and I took a break from music, and about five years ago I started DJing. As a DJ, I mainly play Trance music. Any words you want to share to encourage other artists or producers? I started DJing in my mid-30s, and since then I’ve performed at various clubs and released original music, so I don’t think age is an issue. How do you nurture your industry relationships? I’m hosting an event called ‘Category Trance’ in Tokyo, Japan, and Ed Lynam from Ireland performed there. After that, artists from various countries contacted me. Since then, artists from Hong Kong and the UK have also performed, and I’ve been able to build relationships with them. 20. As one of the premier summertime festivals in Southern California, HARD Summer is expected to once again deliver two days of heavy-hitting beats and groovy melodies under the sun. Poised to take over Inglewood's Hollywood Park this weekend from August 3-4, Insomniac's summertime soiree will boast five stages spread across a massive footprint directly next to SoFi Stadium. Each stage will offer a wide array of electronic tastemakers from across the spectrum. For many of these acts, performing at HARD is one of many stops along their busy summer touring schedule. Known as the peak of festival season, these summertime events can find artists traveling across the world, and as such, require some crucial traveling items for maximum comfort. We explored this year's lineup and asked five artists to share what their most essential items are for this summer's touring season. From headphones to street food, these are some of the must-haves from your favorite DJs. ARMNHMR“It’s hard to say. The most essential thing I use for this festival season are my set of Nike dry-fit shorts. Summer means everything is hot and humid everywhere. Shorts are mandatory during festival season.” c/o Monstercat SIDEPIECEParty Favor: "Freshly washed black hand towels. It keeps you fresh and clean on stage and off. Man’s best friend." NITTI: “My Airpods because a well-charged AirPods case will help you sleep through all the screaming babies on tour.” Jimmy Fontaine LUPA“The most essential thing for a good summer tour is the post-festival street hot dogs. After a long day, there’s something comforting about their grease. Some friends to dance and party with is also pretty essential!” c/o Press Panteros666"My summer tour essentials are my 2000s cycling jerseys, they have to be coordinated as killer outfits with trousers because the colors need to match. I bring a few so I can adapt to the weather and the party vibes, going from extra colorful to more technical." c/o Press Hayes Bradley“Touring hours can get hectic and staying healthy is hard. I always bring running shoes to try and get some miles in the next day because I have a marathon in a few months. And it keeps you a little sane. But also beer. Can’t tour without those.” c/o press Follow HARD SUMMER:X: x.com/HARDFEST Facebook: facebook.com/HARDFest Instagram: instagram.com/HARDFEST
  21. David Guetta & Afrojack – Raving David Guetta and Afrojack‘s dynamic and influential partnership began in the early 2010s, with releases ‘Louder than Words’, ‘Titanium’, ‘Hey Mama’, ‘Another Life’, and ‘Hero’. Now the pair return with another highly anticipated single. ‘Raving’ sports a hard-hitting, club-heavy bassline, and marks a triumphant return for the duo, showcasing a new sound that celebrates the club scene and reaffirms their significant impact on dance music. Armin van Buuren – Es Vedrà By title and sound, Armin van Buuren’s new single has got to be one of the most definitive summer-soundtracking cuts of the year. The album sees ISOKNOCK flip electronic convention on its head, filtering thrashing trap beats, experimental production, and vintage dance-pop through a punk rock lens – a genre-defying approach that leads to a bracingly-original body of work. Malóne & CJ Jeff ft. Ellivia – Missing (Back To You) Malóne has joined forces with Greek artist CJ Jeff and talented vocalist Ellivia, on their new single ‘Missing (Back To You)’. Dropped on Spinnin’ Deep, this Afro House anthem reinvents the classic 1994 hit ‘Missing’ from English duo Everything But The Girl. The single brings an infectious house groove with crisp percussion into the mix, all coming together for a perfect dance number. 22. Today, hard techno’s fiercest force Sara Landry unleashes the next high-powered hit off her highly-anticipated debut album, ‘Pressure‘, in collaboration with Latvia-born, London- based artist and celestial songwriter, LEGZDINA. Delivering a full-throttle demonstration of Landry’s artistic range and boundary breaking vision, the genre-defying track fuses together hard techno and hip-hop elements at breakneck speed, conjuring an infectious new sound uniquely in a category of its own. Feeling the Pressure? Harnessing the essence of each artist’s signature style, ‘Pressure’ offers an unexpected sonic synergy that is innovative and explosive. As a result, we get the deliberate blend of Landry’s driving beats and thunderous basslines. Furthermore, we see that LEGZDINA’s commanding vocal delivery emulates an indomitable sense of confidence, intrinsic to divinely feminine power. @veesanders 2023 Showcasing her own songwriting prowess for the first time, Landry and LEGZDINA’s collaborative lyrics infuse a viscerally addictive layer. This results into the already enthralling listening experience. Brazen, bold and unapologetic, ‘Pressure’ arrives as an anthemic testament to rebellious experimentation. In effect, it captures the “bad bitch” energy of the dynamites behind the track. “Pressure is a hard banger about knowing and being the most powerful, sexual version of yourself that attracts whatever you want. It’s about female dominance and knowing your way around the Club scene and it’s etiquette. This is advanced level club land. When Sara invited me to the session and told me the assignment, how could I not come through and lay down some funny, sexy and compelling silliness? When bad bitches unite it’s a powerful thing. We need to be direct about what we want, no regrets, no backing down, be your witchy self and watch how your life aligns. After all, lowkey they want the pressure, right?” LEGZDINA “I was in my second studio session of the day when LEGZDINA came into the studio to start this project and I liked her immediately – We hit it off right away. I got some drums in the mix, showed her the tempo, the groove and the track and we just started bouncing ideas off each other. We co-wrote all the lyrics together and she got in the booth, absolutely laid it down at 160 BPM – because she is amazing – and we finished ‘Pressure’ a few hours later. This is the first time all of my bars for a hip-hop track have gone anywhere – I have a ton of lyrics I’ve written and never used before – so it’s cool that they’re now seeing the light of day on ‘Pressure’. I am very excited for this release, it’s for the girlies and anyone trying to have their it-girl summer. If that’s you, we know you’re going to love it too.” Sara Landry Equal parts a tastemaker and a provocateur, Landry is also the founder of the disruptive imprint, HEKATE. The label has seen releases from techno titans such as Nico Moreno, Shlømo, Charlie Sparks and blk., as well as more emerging talent in the category and Landry’s own creative endeavors. Landry etched her name in history as the first artist of her genre to play the Tomorrowland Mainstage last weekend. Meanwhile, setting new precedents and pushing the category on a global scale. And thus, with her debut album just around the corner, we can thoroughly enjoy this violent and delicious journey.
