[Decoded] WATCH: The Story Of The Original UK Soundsystem Culture (Documentary)
Dineen’s cult documentary follows two British sound systems, the legendary Sir Coxsone Outernational (featuring a young Blacker Dread) and the (then) up-and-coming Young Lion, both based in south west London. Sound system culture was never only a music scene. As DJ Country explains in the film, he would use his sets to also provide news to the community. In a performance shown in the film, he speaks about the New Cross Fire, which killed 13 young black people in 1981, the same year that Dineen made Sound Business. Feeling that there was a cover-up over how the fire broke out, Black people came together to march in the first Black People’s Day of Action, a precursor to the cross-cultural Black Lives Matter marches in 2020 following the killing of George Floyd by police officers in America. Narrated by Mikey Dread, this original footage from the early 1980’s gives some nice insight into the culture of Sound Systems in the UK. We’re introduced to one particular Sound System, the Coxsone Sound, UK’s Number One in the Reggae Sound System business during the time of this film. [EDMTunes] Tomorrowland Winter 2025: A Breathtaking Odyssey in the French Alps
There’s a moment when you step off the ski lift, look around, and realize that you’re standing in the middle of a dream. The crisp mountain air fills your lungs, the snow-capped peaks stretch infinitely around you, and in the distance, you hear the unmistakable pulse of a bassline echoing through the valley. This isn’t just any ski resort. This is Alpe d’Huez, and for one week every March, it becomes the epicenter of electronic music: Tomorrowland Winter 2025. The 2025 edition of the festival was nothing short of a masterpiece. Now in its fifth edition, Tomorrowland Winter has firmly established itself as an unmissable pilgrimage for electronic music lovers worldwide. More than 22,000 People of Tomorrow made the journey to this frozen wonderland, embracing a week of adventure, music, and unity beneath the towering peaks of the French Alps. This year’s theme, ‘Paperworld,’ transformed the entire resort into a mystical realm, seamlessly blending nature’s raw beauty with Tomorrowland’s signature larger-than-life fantasy aesthetic. A Festival Like No Other What makes Tomorrowland Winter truly magical is its ability to merge the thrill of skiing and snowboarding with the euphoric energy of a world-class music festival. Picture this: you spend your day carving through pristine powder, stopping at mountaintop stages where some of the world’s best DJs are spinning against a backdrop of endless white. Then, as the sun sets, you make your way down to the heart of the resort, where the night unfolds into an electrifying spectacle of lights, music, and pure elation. This year’s lineup was stacked with heavyweights. The stages saw the likes of Armin van Buuren, Kevin de Vries, Joris Voorn, LP Giobbi, Amelie Lens, Axwell, Kölsch, and many more deliver unforgettable performances across the mainstage and the more intimate mountain stages. Over seven days, more than 150 artists took festivalgoers on an unparalleled sonic journey. The Evolution of Tomorrowland Winter Having witnessed multiple editions of the festival, it’s clear that Tomorrowland Winter has evolved over the years. Each year, the production grows more ambitious, the organization more neat, and the crowd more diverse. This year felt like a true coming-of-age moment for the event. Everything—from the stage designs to the artist curation—was polished to near perfection. The festival’s commitment to its immersive experience was awe-inspiring. Walking through the resort, you’d stumble upon art installations, hidden stages, and immersive experiences that made the entire village feel like an extension of the festival itself. Whether you were warming up at one of the cozy après-ski spots or dancing under the open sky at the Frozen Lotus stage, every detail contributed to the feeling that you were part of something truly extraordinary. Stages Mainstage – The Heart of Paperworld The centerpiece of Tomorrowland Winter 2025, the Mainstage embodied the festival’s ‘Paperworld’ theme with a breathtaking, storybook-inspired design. Towering structures, intricate details, and a vibrant fusion of lights and pyrotechnics made this the ultimate festival arena. Hosting global superstars like Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, and Netsky, the Mainstage was where the festival’s biggest anthems echoed through the snow-covered peaks. Delivering a mesmerizing spectacle, with thousands of festivalgoers dancing in unison. Cage – The Underground Sanctuary Dark, intense, and pulsating with energy, Cage was the go-to spot for underground electronic music lovers. With an enclosed industrial aesthetic and hypnotic lighting, it hosted artists like Yulia Niko and Joris Voorn, turning it into a relentless techno haven. CORE – The Mystical Alpine Retreat Tucked in the snowy landscape, the CORE stage felt like a sacred temple of electronic music. Featuring a stunning organic and futuristic design, it became a sanctuary for amazing acts such as LP Giobbi, Kevin de Vries or the amazing DJ Boring B2B HAAI. The stage’s presence at Tomorrowland summer, and its mesmerizing audiovisual setup made it one of the most unique experiences of the festival. Amare – The Symbol of Unity Amare, with its elegant golden wings, symbolized Tomorrowland’s ethos of love and unity. Set against a backdrop of snowy peaks, this stage became a haven for uplifting and euphoric sounds, hosting a mix of progressive house and festival anthems. It was a place where festivalgoers could truly embrace the magic of the music and the breathtaking alpine setting. Frozen Lotus – The Enchanted Ice Stage Frozen Lotus was a tribute to the winter spirit of Tomorrowland, offering a truly magical open-air experience. Surrounded by snow and frost-covered scenery, this stage featured deep house and melodic techno artists, creating a chilled yet captivating ambiance. As the sun reflected off the snowy peaks, it became one of the most picturesque and immersive stages of the festival. Reflection of Love – A Breathtaking singularity in space and time With its beautiful and refined aesthetic, Reflection of Love was a stunning open-air stage that symbolized unity and connection and it was our favorite spot during this week. Hosting a mix of dynamic sets, this stage showcased a diverse range of artists, providing a space for both high-energy performances and deeper, more emotional moments. Our favorites here were Third Party and Hugel. Moose Bar, Brasa & Resort Stages – The Hidden Gems Scattered throughout Alpe d’Huez, these smaller stages brought a different kind of energy, offering everything from après-ski singalongs to intimate DJ sets. Moose Bar and Brasa delivered party-fueled, feel-good vibes, and sometimes surprised festivalgoers with surprise erformances and unique atmospheres, proving that Tomorrowland Winter’s magic extended far beyond the big stages. Each stage at Tomorrowland Winter 2025 played a crucial role in shaping the festival’s identity, creating a journey through sound, emotion, and adventure in the heart of the French Alps. Countless moments defined Tomorrowland Winter 2025 and the entire festival was an emotional rollercoaster and a compilation of highlights and once in a lifetime moments. You need to be there to feel it. For those who wanted to get a glimpse of the experience, Tomorrowland made sure to record and upload multiple full sets to YouTube and the Tomorrowland App. Even watching from a screen, you could feel the magic radiating through the speakers. Check it out here. Pushing Boundaries While Preserving the Mountains Tomorrowland Winter continues to work on new standards not only for festival experiences but also for sustainability. The festival has made significant efforts in reducing its ecological footprint, recognizing the responsibility that comes with hosting an event in such a pristine natural environment. This year, Tomorrowland Winter expanded its eco-friendly initiatives, including improved waste management systems, increased recycling stations, and a commitment to using renewable energy sources wherever possible. A large focus has been placed on sustainable travel options, encouraging attendees to opt for eco-friendly transportation, such as shared shuttle services, to reduce the festival’s overall carbon emissions. Additionally, the festival has partnered with local organizations to ensure that the natural beauty of Alpe d’Huez remains untouched, reinforcing the idea that music and nature can coexist harmoniously. Areas for Improvement: Lineup Diversity and Crowd Management While Tomorrowland Winter continues to impress year after year, there are still areas where the festival could enhance the experience further. One of the main challenges has been stage capacity and crowd management, especially during peak hours when certain stages become overcrowded or even reach full capacity. Many attendees found themselves unable to access specific performances due to limited space, highlighting the need for improved stage distribution or real-time crowd monitoring to balance attendance across venues. Additionally, while the lineup boasts some of the biggest names in electronic music, there’s an opportunity for Tomorrowland Winter to embrace greater diversity in genres and artists. A Celebration Like No Other Despite these minor areas for improvement, there’s no denying that Tomorrowland Winter 2025 was an unparalleled celebration of music, nature, and unity. With 250 km of pristine ski slopes, an atmosphere charged with positivity, and performances from the world’s best DJs, it remains an event like no other. The People of Tomorrow have once again proven that, whether under the summer sun or the winter snow, the Tomorrowland magic knows no season. As the final beats echoed through the mountains and the festival came to a close, one thing was certain: Tomorrowland Winter is not just a festival—it’s an experience, a journey, and a moment in time that stays with you forever. The Future of Tomorrowland Winter As the final beats faded into the crisp night air and festivalgoers began their journey home, one thing was certain: Tomorrowland Winter had once again set a new standard. The question now is—how do they top this? With five editions in the books, it’s clear that Tomorrowland Winter is no longer just an experimental offshoot of the summer festival. It has carved out its own identity, blending music, adventure, and natural beauty into a singular experience that no other festival in the world can replicate. Whether you’re a seasoned raver or a first-time attendee, one thing is guaranteed: once you experience Tomorrowland Winter, you’ll be counting down the days until your return. So if you missed it this year, start planning now. Because in the world of Tomorrowland, the next adventure is always just around the corner. [EDMTunes] Deadmau5 Revives the Iconic ‘Old Macdonald’ Troll of Martin Garrix’s ‘Animals’ at Ultra ’25
More than a decade on, Deadmau5 is at it again! Same place, same track, same troll, just 11 years apart. Martin Garrix’s Animals bore the brunt of Joel Zimmerman’s trolling ire in Ultra 2014. The same version was resurrected again in Ultra 2025. The ‘Old MacDonald’ troll of Animals saw almost identical crowd reaction both times. A quick rundown of events in 2014 for those who were too young, or simply do not recollect. Deadmau5 was booked at Ultra as a stand-in for Avicii back then following his sudden illness. Martin Garrix was one of the breakout artists at that time who just made a huge impact with ‘Animals’. Joel decided to turn ‘Animals’ into a rendition of ‘Old McDonald Had a Farm’ that made its way on his Ultra track list, leaving the crowd in splits. Come 2025, and the iconic Old MacDonald’ troll of Animals had made it to Ultra again, courtesy of Zimmerman. The crowd again seems to soak in the amusement. Nothing has changed, except that Garrix is a global superstar who has worked his way to the top. That does not change the fact that he is still immune to the deadmau5 treatment of stuff. As history related to all things Joel, it might not be the last time either. Skrillex Surprises Fans: New Album Out Tomorrow
Sound the alarms: Skrillex is dropping his new album tomorrow, April 1. Fresh from his first performance at Ultra Miami in a decade, and rocking a fresh haircut, the electronic icon today sent fans an email with a link to an audio file containing clips of several unreleased tracks. Moments ago, the same teaser was posted to his Instagram with the caption, “OUT TOMORROW.” The latest in a series of audio teasers that Skrillex has shared with fans who signed up to receive his email marketing, the album trailer features several coveted IDs from the artist’s heavy dubstep days, including “Voltage,” an anthemic tearout tune that was supposedly lost when Skrillex’s hard drive was stolen in 2012, and his high-profile collaboration with Space Laces, which fans have dubbed “Kill Em” ahead of its official release. As such, all signs now point to a brostep revival on the forthcoming LP, which will mark Skrillex’s fourth studio album, following the release of Quest for Fire and Don’t Get Too Close in 2023, and his debut, Recess, in 2014. The as-yet-unnamed album will also be Skrillex’s last release with Atlantic Records before going independent, after he provided a glimpse into his future plans on social media at the turn of the year. Listen to Skrillex’s new album teaser in the post below or at the link here. Featured image from Skrillex. The post Skrillex Surprises Fans: New Album Out Tomorrow appeared first on EDM Maniac. [EDM.com] A New Era: Skrillex Reveals Album That Could Change Dubstep Forever
A surprise transmission from Skrillex: a new album is coming tomorrow, April 1st. It's not an April Fool's joke. Moments ago, the dubstep icon stunned fans by sending them an email containing an MP3 file with snippets of a slew of unreleased tracks. The file's metadata says it all: "OUT TOMORROW." Particularly of note is the inclusion of "Voltage," an unreleased dubstep track for which fans have been clamoring since as early as 2011. The same goes for his long-awaited collaboration with Space Laces, which fans tentatively titled "Kill Em" in the absence of an official release. The unnamed album is set to be Skrillex's final release under Atlantic Records before becoming an independent artist. The producer in late 2024 revealed his plans to go independent after fulfilling his record contract by virtue of his next body of work, noting he "never felt more inspired and in lockstep with my intentions as an artist." Few artists wield the kind of influence Skrillex does, and fewer still exit major label deals on their own terms. He has spent over a decade shaping the contours of electronic music production, bending genre lines with a ferocity matched by few. His next album, expected to revive his early dubstep sound, is primed to spark another paradigm shift for the genre. You can listen to Skrillex's album teaser here. The 2011 anthem, a cornerstone of both pop and electronic music, has amassed over 4 billion streams and cemented its place as a timeless classic. As the sun dipped below the Miami skyline, Ultra’s Main Stage became the hub of the festival. AFROJACK, delivering a high-octane set, masterfully built anticipation, subtly hinting at the impending surprise by dropping David Guetta’s ‘Sexy Bitch.’ The crowd, already buzzing with energy, erupted as Guetta joined AFROJACK on stage. Subtronics Confirms New Album, Sets Release For EP, ‘Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion’
Subtronics has set the release date for his new EP, Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion. At the close of his mainstage performance at Ultra Miami on Friday, the bass wizard announced that the project, which makes up one half of a new album, will arrive on his own Cyclops Recordings label on April 4, after he treated the Miami crowd to several of the EP’s new tracks, including a live performance of “Final Breath” featuring UK drum & bass star A Little Sound. Set to converge into a full album when Part 2 is released, the eight tracks featured on Fibonnaci Part 1: Oblivion are geared to connect with fans in Subtronics’ famously mind-bending live sets, while fans can look forward to an entirely different listening journey in Part 2, according to a press release. As a whole, the two-part album is said to continue the exploration of mathematical phenomena central to Subtronics’ first two albums, FRACTALS and TESSERACT. This time, however, he hones in on the Fibonacci sequence, an ever-expanding series of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones. This pattern has curiously been observed in many facets of nature, from the leaf arrangements of plants to the tight spiral of a chameleon’s tail. Expanding on the concept in a press release, Subtronics said, “Part 1 of the EP conveys that all of reality, in its complexity and grandeur, originates from the fundamental laws of the universe. It emphasizes the Fibonacci sequence and golden ratio as intrinsic patterns that govern nature, not through divine intervention, but through physics. Building on themes of alternate dimensions and fractals, the Fibonacci spiral is presented as the foundational DNA of reality.” Watch the highlights from Subtronics’ Ultra performance below and pre-save the new EP here. [Electric-Mode] AlphaTheta releases detailed documentary on the power of shared musical experiences: “We Become One”
AlphaTheta announces the release of “We Become One”, a new documentary film exploring the power of shared musical experiences. AlphaTheta’s mission, One Through Music, is based on a passionate belief that music has the profound power to unite people. From dancefloors to festivals, music has an undeniable ability to create shared experiences, dissolve boundaries, and bring us into a collective state of flow. But why does this happen? What is it about music that connects us so deeply? “We Become One” follows DJ/producer/curator Kikelomo Oludemi as she goes on a journey to learn why people choose music as a vehicle to connect with others, appreciating it as a universal “language” that speaks to everyone. And how the human brain harnesses sound to evoke euphoria and reduce stress. In “We Become One”, Kikelomo travels to the USA, Ghana, South Africa, Germany, the UK, and France to talk with industry-leading scientists and researchers, and legendary artists. In California, she meets Daniel Levitin, a globally revered cognitive psychologist, neuroscientist, musician, and record producer, who explains how neurons in the human brain are fired synchronously with a beat, creating a wave-like phenomenon of electrical impulses. “Why are they sending out electricity?” Levitin ponders. “They’re trying to spur the production and release of different chemicals. These different brain states characterize different states of consciousness.” Another expert who talks about the way music triggers electrical activity in the brain is Dr. Julia C. Basso, neuroscientist and director of the Embodied Brain Lab. She explains how, when people are dancing to the same music together, specific parts of their brains are stimulated simultaneously, creating a feeling of unity among the crowd. “That whole social network of brain areas is lighting up, firing together, so there’s a lot of inter-brain synchrony that’s happening,” says Basso. Moodymann, DJ and Producer, said within the documentary: “It’s universal. Everybody knows a good rhythm when they hear a good rhythm, you know? You don’t need to be educated. You don’t need to be dumb or smart. Anybody can catch a rhythm. You can go to clubs nowadays and there’s everybody in there which is beautiful.” Where there’s music and dancing, there are usually lights too, and in “We Become One” we hear from Dan Ghenacia, a respected DJ and member of production trio Apollonia, who’s also the creator of the Alpha Wave Experience. Inspired by Brion Gysin’s Dream Machine, and backed by neuroscience, the experience uses a machine that combines flashing lights with music to create brain entrainment and induce people into different brain states, such as psychedelic or meditative ones. “Clubbing is an old form of shamanism – using rhythms and drums to put people in ecstatic states,” says psychologist Francisco Teixeira, who works with Ghenacia on the project. “Sound and music is a non-semantic [form of] communication, so you can communicate your emotions even to someone who doesn’t speak your language. I think that’s why even people with completely different experiences somehow feel the same emotions at the same time [when on the dancefloor]… Sound is the unifying form of communicating emotions.” Daniel Levitin, Cognitive Psychologist, Neuroscientist, Musician, and Record Producer, also said within the documentary: “There’s this thing called the flow state, and it’s characterized by focused attention, a loss of a sense of self, a loss of a sense of time, and, really, the focused attention is a special kind where you’re not really aware of yourself or what you’re doing. You’re outside yourself, and electronic music is really great at inducing it, which is why so many raves and so many parties and even therapeutic uses of music involve the repetitiveness. That repetition allows you to enter a meditative state, and you can close off the inner chatter of your brain and the inner dialogue and just be, and when you can relax into that state of here and now, that’s when the trance can come.” On her travels, Kikelomo also visits Oroko Radio and Vibrate Studios, both in Accra, Ghana, to discover how electronic music can help bridge sociological division on and off the dancefloor. And by the end of her journey, Kikelomo shares with the viewer a greater understanding of what clubbing and shared musical experiences can do for us from a neurological, racial, gender, sexual orientation, spiritual, and human perspective. So, it seems that AlphaTheta’s vision of One Through Music is shared by many. As legendary DJ Moodymann says in the film, while talking about his Soul Skate parties where people enjoy music and dancing while roller skating: “When we get together… we become one.” The documentary, ‘We Become One’ is out now. Available to watch for free, head to youtube.com/@pioneerdjglobal. Other notable quotes from “We Become One” include: “In order for music to move us emotionally, to make us feel exhilarated or joyful or relaxed, any of those things require that we surrender to the music. And there’s no greater example of that than the dancefloor.” Daniel Levitin, Cognitive Psychologist, Neuroscientist, Musician, and Record Producer “When we listen to music, we’re time traveling. We’re not concerned with concepts or words, but something much more fundamental… Only music gives that to us… Music is our umbilical cord back to Mother Nature.” Professor Michael Spitzer, Author and Professor of Music at Liverpool University “What music does is a form of telepathy… Through rhythm, we can share emotion and activity, and we call that dancing. And it’s why dance is such a triumphant, validating human endeavor.” Professor Michael Spitzer, Author and Professor of Music at Liverpool University “I think that, when it comes to music, I almost feel as though it’s another form of communication. When you’re able to bond over a certain track or you realize that you have similar tastes in music, it’s a really great foundation because I believe that music really connects you on a soul level.” Whitney Wei, Journalist and Editor “In a world where politicians go and weaponize different minorities in this kind of populist world, it’s nice to have a safe haven that you remember that actually people are just people and that there is more that unites us than divides us.” Steve Braines, Co-Founder of He.She.They. [Electric-Mode] Dubstep Icons Doctor P and Flux Pavilion Release Self-Titled Long-Awaited First Collaborative Studio Album. 15-Track Body Of Work Highlighting Their Over 20-Year-Long Friendship. Out Now on Circus Records
After weeks of teasing, bass music titans Doctor P and Flux Pavilion unveil their long-anticipated, self-titled debut collaborative album via their own Circus Records – a landmark moment, which, we can say, was over 20 years in the making in the form of both artists long-lasting friendship, spanning 23 years. As co-founders of the influential label and longtime friends and collaborators, this release marks a full-circle moment in their storied careers. The 15-track body of work takes listeners on a wild, genre-bending ride, delivering a headbanging bass odyssey that’s equal parts cinematic, chaotic, and fun. From the opening surge of “Feel Good,” through the 90s-disco-meets-nightmare groove of “I Luv It,” to the delirious chaos of “Vegemite,” the album is a testament to the duo’s shared language of sound and their longtime friendship. Blending cinematic soundscapes, bone-rattling drops, and playful experimentation, the project is both a homage to their roots and a bold step forward. To cap off the release, the pair will bring their inimitable energy to an exclusive back-to-back set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami on March 30. “We’ve been working together on music for over 20 years, so much so that we have developed our own language in the studio (kind of like how a group of friends develops its own lore over the years). In 2010, that language found a voice in dubstep, and it resonated with a massive community. Doctor P and Flux Pavilion were born, but we’d been playing those characters since we were kids. It was always our passion to find the sense of adventure in our music, moments of drama and moments of humour, side by side. So we wanted to write an album that not just encapsulates who we are right now but who we have been for our entire lives. In one moment, it’s a serious body of work, and in the next, it’s two friends messing around on computers. In truth, our message has always been – ‘why not both?’ A lot of the time, the simplest parts of life are lost in the complexities. This album celebrates one of those universal truths: life is meant to be fun.” – Doctor P & Flux Pavilion Doctor P Doctor P, aka Shaun Brockhurst, started his musical journey when he was a teenager, jamming with his friends on the drums and guitar. Since starting Circus Records in 2009 with childhood friend Flux Pavilion, Doctor P has built himself a bass music empire as a quadruple threat with the titles of musician, producer, DJ, and label founder. When he posted his new track “Sweet Shop” on his MySpace to test for interest, little was Doctor P to know that this was to change the course of bass music history and inspire a whole new generation of electronic fans. “Sweet Shop” quickly became a staple part of just about every DJ’s set. From junglist to house selector it became an anthem for every floor. The track was one of the first releases on Circus Records and helped make it one of the exciting labels of modern bass music. Since the release of “Sweet Shop,” Doctor P continued to grow as an artist. He produced “Music is Dead” with Dillon Francis, “Business” with Far East Movement, 2013 smash “The Pit” with Adam F featuring hip hop royalty Method Man, and more recently the huge “24/7” with Circus Records co-founder Flux Pavilion. Doctor P has also remixed for Black Tiger Sex Machine, YOOKiE, Ganja White Night, Plan B, Example, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Blame, and many more. Flux Pavilion Co-founder of Circus Records and Dubstep pioneer. Flux Pavilion has produced some of the most successful tracks in electronic music history and launched the careers of scores of new talent in the process. From Glastonbury to Coachella, he has racked up performances at the world’s greatest stages, headlining multiple world tours. Influenced by the likes of David Bowie, The Beatles, and Frank Zappa in the early years, it was when he heard The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers that Flux Pavilion knew he had found a musical direction he truly wanted to explore for himself. A deluge of musical projects followed, writing instrumental hip hop and dirty drum & bass, joining local bands, and producing for other acts, all while studying at university. But the major turning point for this unquestionably talented musician was a visit to London superclub Fabric. Since then, Flux Pavilion has continued to develop his signature sound, retaining the all-important energy that The Prodigy and Rusko inspired him with in the early days, and inspiring a generation of electronic music producers in the process. The multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, record producer, and label owner shows no sign of slowing down, releasing beautifully melodic, genre-bending new music, collaborating with the likes of Excision, Zeds Dead, Wooli, Eliminate, Jessica Audiffred, Koven and Cyclops. He continues to storm the live scene with his electrifying live shows, showcasing his talents with singing, multiple synths, and electric guitars. [Electric-Mode] Scene’s Veteran MOGUAI and Upcoming Talent DHALI Invite To Embrace Unknown with New Single “Rest Of Your Life” ft. Dominic Neill & Marc Moon
MOGUAI, a long-standing figure at the forefront of cutting-edge electronic music, joins forces with rising talent DHALI on their new single “Rest Of Your Life,” featuring the evocative vocals of Dominic Neill and co-production from Marc Moon. Released via a joint effort of 23HOURS and PUNX labels, the track is a radiant blend of Afro-house rhythms, dynamic synth textures, and soul-stirring lyrics – a celebration of living in the now and leaning into the unknown. The main idea for the track was born during a DHALI’s creative session at Amsterdam Dance Event, and after months of exchanging beats and melodies across oceans and time zones, the two producers finally came together in MOGUAI’s studio, where creative sparks flew again and “Rest Of Your Life” became a fact. The result is a dancefloor-ready anthem with emotional weight, destined to be both a festival favorite and a personal soundtrack to life’s turning points. MOGUAI, DHALI – Rest Of Your Life ft. Dominic Neill, Marc Moon MOGUAI shares, “This track is about embracing the unknown, living in the moment, and celebrating life. We wanted to create something that moves both the heart and the dancefloor.” DHALI adds, “Music speaks louder than words, and ‘Rest Of Your Life’ is about a way that takes your breath away.” If this were sports, MOGUAI would be a long-distance runner. For over two decades, the German DJ and producer has been steadily shaping his sound—delivering trendsetting, Gold and Platinum-certified productions while others chase fleeting moments. From the underground raves of the early ’90s to commanding the decks at the legendary Berlin Love Parade for 750,000 people, MOGUAI has carved a unique path through electronic music. Known for blending styles with precision while keeping things irresistibly danceable, he’s collaborated with icons like Fatboy Slim, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash, Kaskade, Benny Benassi, Tiësto, Robin Schulz, Cheat Codes, and Oliver Heldens, and delivered remixes for the likes of Moby, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and Underworld. He released two full-length albums – “We Are Lyve” and “Mpire” – on deadmau5’s mau5trap before landing his biggest hit to date with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on “Mammoth” and third studio album “Colors” in 2021 via his own Punx Records. With releases on tastemaker labels like Solotoko, Heldeep, Axtone, SKINT, and PIAS, MOGUAI continues to push boundaries while keeping one foot firmly on the dancefloor. DHALI DHALI is a producer and DJ making waves with a bold blend of club-ready beats and Afro-house rhythms, bringing a fresh surge of energy to the electronic music scene. Since signing with 23HOURS, he’s amassed over 40 million streams and collaborated with an eclectic roster of artists, including Topic, Idd Aziz, Felix Jaehn, MOGUAI, Dominic Neill, BLOODLINE, and Georgie Keller. Inspired by the surrealist visions of Salvador Dalí—particularly the melting clock that symbolizes the fluid nature of time – DHALI approaches music as a timeless form of expression. His productions are rich with texture and groove, balancing emotional depth with dancefloor firepower. With each release, he extends an invitation: to lose yourself in sound, to embrace the unknown, and to celebrate the night without boundaries.
