TroyBoi and Scrufizzer Team Up for Unrelenting Trap Track, "Keep It Moving"
TroyBoi and Scrufizzer are on a mission to keep it moving, and their new single doesn't just demand attention—it grabs life by the horns. The influential electronic music producer and London-based MC have joined forces for a high-energy track that pairs slick trap rhythms with the fiery cadence of UK grime. Titled "Keep It Moving," the single embodies its name through layers of minimalist production as Scrufizzer's spitfiring lyricism propels through. At the foundation lies TroyBoi's signature touch: tip-toeing melodies that glide across booming 808s, snappy hi-hats and clacking tribal percussion. The arrangement is intentionally sparse, giving every element room to breathe while still delivering a hefty impact. This minimalist approach is where TroyBoi shines, allowing Scrufizzer’s commanding presence to dominate the spotlight. With percussive elements that feel like they’ve been plucked from far-reaching corners of the world, their combined global influences only deepen the song’s allure, adding texture to its trap backbone. And just when you think Scrufizzer’s flow couldn’t be any sharper, TroyBoi manipulates his vocals, twisting and chopping them up like origami to add an extra layer of dynamism to the mix. Together, the two artists have crafted a collaboration that feels both raw and refined, a seamless blend of grime's punch and trap's atmospheric tension. "Keep It Moving" is a reminder that when these two are behind the controls, there's no hitting pause. Listen to "Keep It Moving" below and find the new track on streaming services here. Watch The Chainsmokers and Kim Petras Spite the Storm in Euphoric "Don't Lie" Music Video
The Chainsmokers and Kim Petras each have a way of turning chaos into bliss, and their new single "Don't Lie" is no exception. As infectious as a late-summer breeze, carrying with it an irresistible hook that pulses with a six-syllable hum, "Don't Lie" arrives with all the promise of a hit in the making. Laying the foundation for a song that feels at once simple and deeply layered, its minimalist house rhythms are a showcase in the success of subtlety while its lyrics whisper of desire, connection and the heat of the moment. Visually, the "Don't Lie" music video blends this sonic simplicity with a whirlwind of playful chaos. Petras emerges from a muddy puddle like a spirit of mischief, bringing a sense of carefree fun to The Chainsmokers' pop-up summer party. As they hop into a Jeep and take off with the top down, the rush of freedom is palpable. However, their carefree joy ride takes a comical turn when a sudden storm sweeps through their event, flipping tents in the air and turning their party into a swirling frenzy. Still, in true Petras fashion, the storm can't touch their vibe. Dancing in the rain, they embrace the moment with an effortless grace, owning the chaos like it's all part of the plan. Gero’s ‘We Can Find Us Again’ Charts a Course Through the Soul
Gero‘s latest album, “We Can Find Us Again,” is a mesmerizing journey through sound and emotion that defies easy categorization. This Athens-born artist has crafted a musical anthology that invites listeners to lose themselves in its depths. He offers a profound experience of introspection where sound becomes a narrative wormhole to both heart and mind. So, what is this album all about? Let’s dive deep into it. From the opening notes of “Evangelism,” it’s clear that this is no ordinary electronic music album. The track unfolds like a cinematic score, building anticipation with ethereal and mysterious elements. It then unleashes in a rolling, percussive rhythm that sets the stage for the odyssey to come. As we delve deeper into the album, “Law of Attraction” emerges as a natural evolution of the opener. The cinematic backdrop remains, but the introduction of angelic vocals and choruses elevates the mystical atmosphere. It’s as if Gero is slowly peeling back layers of consciousness, revealing new dimensions of sound with each track. The album takes a slight turn with “Final Church“. The record introduces more melodic techno elements while maintaining the underlying sense of mystery. The experimental touches, like the plucked arpeggio and dark bassline, showcase Gero’s willingness to push boundaries and blend genres seamlessly. This kind of artistic risk-taking keeps the listener engaged and wondering what sonic surprise might be waiting around the next corner. “Can You Make The Ground Shake?” is a standout track that manages to go even deeper underground. The minimal synth theme, paired with strong piano lines and mysterious choruses, creates a tension that builds to energetic synth lines reminiscent of the melodic house current we all love. Yet, Gero resists the urge to break into full peak-time territory. He maintains the album’s slow-burning, mysterious vibe. As we reach the midpoint of the album with “Voyageur,” the deep, dark ambiance is punctuated by soft piano harmonies and dreamy male vocals. The experimental, Afro-house-inspired percussive rhythm demonstrates Gero’s finger on the pulse of current trends while still maintaining his unique, dark techno sensibilities. It’s this fusion of styles that makes “We Can Find Us Again” feel both timely and timeless. “Bohemian Grove” lives up to its intriguing title, centered around a catchy groove and percussive rhythm. The track is a playground of rhythmic and drum elements, all coalescing around a clean main theme. It’s here that Gero’s production skills really shine. He balances complexity with clarity in an impressive and immersive way. The album’s turning point arrives with “Oniro & Fovos,” where angelic female vocals float above a soft, incredible main theme. This track marks the collision of deep, synth-driven elements with more cinematic sounds. Gero perfectly encapsulates the dual nature of the album – at once intimate and expansive. As we enter the final third of the album, tracks like “Oblivion” and “Remember the Rain” continue to explore the interplay between catchy percussions and dreamy synths. “The Realm” leans more heavily into cinematic and atmospheric territory while maintaining the melodic techno and percussive backbone that defines the album’s sound. “House of the Blue Leaves” shifts gears slightly, introducing a more progressive environment. On it, synth lines and atmospheric elements dance with rolling percussions. The album’s denouement begins with “You’re Here Cause You’re Riding High“. This is a track that builds anticipation for the finale while exercising admirable restraint. This leads into “Burn For You,” which surprises with its hip-hop vocal introduction before morphing into an Afro-house-inspired melodic techno tune that feels both familiar and fresh. Finally, “The Last Temptation” closes the album in grandiose fashion, synthesizing all the elements we’ve encountered throughout our journey into a monumental closing statement. Why Gero’s We Can Find Us Again really stands out? What strikes me most about “We Can Find Us Again” is its cohesiveness despite its genre-spanning breadth. Gero has managed to create an album that feels like a single, flowing piece of music while still allowing each track to stand on its own merits. The storytelling aspect is palpable – there’s a clear narrative arc from beginning to end, with each track representing a new chapter in the journey. The production throughout is impeccable, with a clarity and depth that rewards repeated listens. Gero’s attention to detail is evident in every track. While the album draws inspiration from various corners of the electronic music world – from the melodic techno sound to Afro-house rhythms – it never feels derivative. Instead, Gero has taken these influences and woven them into something uniquely his own. The result is an album that feels both familiar and groundbreaking, comfortable yet challenging. As a listener, I found myself completely absorbed in the world Gero has created. The album’s ability to evoke emotion and spark introspection is remarkable. At times, I felt as if I was floating through space, while at others, I was grounded by primal rhythms and earthy textures. It’s rare to find an electronic music album that engages both the body and the mind so thoroughly. “We Can Find Us Again” demands and rewards active listening, taking the audience on a journey that’s as much internal as it is auditory. We aimed to create something that not only references our original track but also showcases how we’ve grown as artists.” Green Velvet added, “Patrick and I have always had great chemistry in the studio, and ‘Mad Motion’ is proof of that. This track channels the same energy as ‘Voicemail’ but with a fresh twist that I hope people are going to love. It’s all about evolving while staying true to the vibe people know us for. Patrick has been honored with three DJ Awards and one DJ Mag ‘Best of British’ Award. As a DJ, he keeps the energy levels high while showcasing a variety of musical styles. In terms of production, Patrick has showcased his ability to create high-quality dance floor hits, with tracks like ‘Forget’ (2014 Ibiza Track Of The Season) and his collaboration with Chicago legend Green Velvet – ‘Voicemail’ (2014). His last original work with Hot Creations, the massive ‘Be Sharp Say Nowt’ (2017), achieved silver certification in the UK in 2021. Max Styler & Oscar L Team Up For Two-Tracker ‘Addiction / Yapper’
Oscar L, a veteran of Beyer’s Drumcode imprint with Again EP (2023), and of Truesoul including solo EP Vulture (2022) and a collaboration with Dosem in the Aircargo EP earlier this year, now brings his revered Techno/Tech-House chops to this collaboration with Californian Max Styler, a Beyer stable up-and-comer, whose ‘Main Stage/Indie Dance’ blend of House with dark Euro vibes has soared in the last two years on Experts Only Records and Diynamic. ‘Addiction/Yapper’ is out now on Adam Beyer’s imprint Truesoul, listen here. Of course, each track has a personality and a message to carry: ‘Addiction’: straight in with spoken vocal mantra/manifesto – ‘We’ve got an addiction…to rave life’ over a driving beat, rattling drums, dark basslines of teeth-tingling, juddering notes rich in reverb, echo and hoover FX, while in the long central breakdown, synth chords build like approaching sirens heralding the mighty drop. Compelling and compulsive dance fuel. ‘Yapper’: the fast, powerhouse beat, ominously growling bass and stabby melody of deep reverb paired with high keening synth are joined by a pitch-shifted distorted vocal staccato babble which is strangely hooky, bringing a more alien, other-worldly feel. Patrick Topping, known for his infectious beats and groovy basslines, has solidified himself as one of the leading figures in modern house music. His collaborations with artists like Green Velvet have been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of the genre, and “Mad Motion” is no exception. Green Velvet, a legend in his own right, brings his signature blend of quirky vocals and techno-infused rhythms to the track, creating a synergy that can only be described as electric. It’s built around a pulsating rhythm that gets under your skin from the moment the first beat drops. The lyrics echo the theme of movement and confidence, with a cheeky twist. Lines like “Clowning on the beat, HAHA-ing, body and my feet in motion” and “Their motion’s way too slow can’t hang with my tempo” emphasize the unstoppable energy the song aims to deliver. Don’t talk about it, be about it The repetition of “Mad Motion” drives home the sense of kinetic energy, as the track pushes listeners to let loose on the dance floor. It’s a command to get up, move, and embrace the vibe, leaving all inhibitions behind. The lyrics of “Mad Motion” are simple yet effective, weaving between a sense of fun and self-assuredness. “Don’t talk about it, be about it” is a motivational mantra embedded in the track, encouraging people to take action instead of just talking. The verses challenge people to break out of their comfort zones, exemplified by the line “Comfortably uncomfortable, where’s the outcry?” The track seems to play with the idea of superiority in rhythm and energy, mocking those who can’t keep up with the fast-paced vibe while flexing an almost rebellious confidence. The final lines, “The greatest flex is when you wave bye-bye,” add a playful yet assertive ending to the track, making it a perfect blend of empowerment and fun. Armin van Buuren And Hardwell Reunite After A Decade On ‘Follow The Light’
Two icons came together to release a hotly-anticipated piece of music. Peak Dance music right here. And also top-notch collaborators. We’re talking about the conjoint effort of two masters at work, the legendary Trance act Armin van Buuren, and a man who flipped the entire scene on its head in 2013, Hardwell. Two undoubtedly iconic figures of the EDM sphere, they had an ID cooking for a while, and today it finally came out. After nearly a decade, Armin and Robbert have joined forces once again for the highly anticipated ‘Follow The Light‘. The duo’s collaboration blends Armin’s signature euphoric Trance melodies with Hardwell’s cutting-edge Big Room Techno, creating a powerful festival anthem. The track has already become a staple in both artists’ sets throughout 2024, and it could become one of the most-played records this season, now that it’s finally out. ‘Follow The Light’ You might remember ‘Off The Hook’, their first — and for years only — collaboration. While that track had an intense Hardwell vibe, this time the tables have flipped slightly, and ‘Follow The Light’ has a shiny Trance personality, in Big Room trousers. Not staying behind on any front, the record features singalong vocals to really make of this instance a memorable one. Both Armin and Hardwell are renowned for their groundbreaking contributions to the Dance music scene. Armin, a five-time winner of the Top 100 DJs poll, is known for his genre-defining weekly radio show A State of Trance, while Hardwell, a former No. 1 DJ, is celebrated for his hit anthems and remixes. Their combined talents and influence have made them two of the most iconic figures in the industry. Watch FISHER Share Heartwarming Congratulations With Paralympics Gold Medalist Alexa Leary
A wholesome moment between two Australian legends was caught on camera at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games. Thanks to her incredible swimming performances, Alexa Leary has been making waves—literally and figuratively—at the Paris sporting event. The Australian athlete broke the world record 100m freestyle time twice within 24 hours, according to Yahoo Sport Australia. Seeing as she's the new world record holder, Leary, of course, picked up a gold medal win for her performance in the pool. The swimmer, a fan of electronic music, was then pulled aside after her victory to receive a congratulatory message from none other than her Australian compatriot, FISHER. The DJ and house music superstar called Leary an "absolute legend" before telling her that he and his newborn will be watching her perform later in the Summer Paralympic Games. She expressed shock and excitement over the surprise message and said it made her day before expressing interest in joining him onstage at a future event—and maybe even babysitting. "Come on, bring it home girl!" FISHER said. "We love you, you're such an inspiration." Check out the heartwarming moment between FISHER and Leary below. Don Diablo and Sandro Cavazza's "Young Again" Is a Bubbly Reminder to Cherish Every Moment
With his uplifting new single, Don Diablo reminds us that youth isn't just a number, but a state of mind—one we can choose to inhabit regardless of age. Memories and melodies intertwine like DNA strands of nostalgia in "Young Again," out now via Diablo's HEXAGON label. And in its pulsing heart, we find a paradox: a celebration of youth wrapped in the wisdom of age. The song features a powerful vocal performance from Sandro Cavazza, whose lyrics skate on the razor's edge between nostalgia and urgency, pleading with us to devour the present before it evaporates. His soaring falsettos and evocative words paint familiar scenes: laughter echoing in twilight, the touch of a hand, eyes bright with possibility. Meanwhile, Diablo's effervescent production shimmers and flows, mirroring the way memories blur at the edges, yet remain vivid at their core. But beneath the bubbly house track lies an even deeper truth: we're all hurtling towards an unknowable future. To that end, "Young Again" is, at its core, a call to action to live life to the fullest as our moments disintegrate with each breath. NERO Releases Third Studio Album, ‘Into The Unknown’
GRAMMY-winning trio NERO just released their long-awaited third studio album, Into The Unknown. The album arrives nine years after its predecessor, Between II Worlds, and after much anticipation built with singles ‘Truth,’ ‘Blame You,’ ‘Draw Energy,’ ‘Too Many Questions,’ and ‘Solar.’ Into The Unknown is NERO’s post-apocalyptic tale of humanity’s dichotic destiny, where science and fantasy, beauty and brutality, creation and destruction meet in harmony. It’s reflection of the stories NERO foretold with their first two albums: the disconnectivity of a worldwide epidemic, the rise of technology, and the need for society’s rebirth for the progression of humankind. Encompassing the genre-defying phenomena that has always projected NERO to the forefront of electronic music, Into The Unknown references dance music through the ages: from the UKG, jungle and drum & bass of the 90s and early 00s that served as their inspirational foundation to the dubstep and dance pop of the 2010s that cemented their status beyond the clubbing landscape. The album is a celebration of NERO’s past, present, and future, sonically cataloging the band’s roots in London’s underground with songs like ‘Blame You’ and ‘Too Many Questions’ countering futuristic tracks like ‘Truth’ and a new version of their 2022-released RL Grime collaboration ‘Renegade.’ “Into The Unknown, to us, feels somewhat like a bridge between Welcome Reality and Between II Worlds. A blend of U.K. dance music and French electro/house. This is where we’ve always felt that we reside, stylistically. We wanted to make sure the album sounded quintessentially NERO and hopefully our fans will feel we succeeded in that.” -Nero The album serves as the final piece of NERO’s trilogy, a cinematic three-part audio-visual story from bandmates Daniel Stephens, Joe Ray, and Alana Watson that has unfolded over their 20-year career, beginning with Welcome Reality, continuing with Between II Worlds, and now concluding with Into The Unknown. Stream NERO’s new album, Into The Unknown, available now on all platforms ahead of their headlining Into The Unknown Tour. Mochakk releases the second part of ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II’ EP
We heard it all summer love but finally, the second part of Mochakk EP, Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II has been released. The release features three new tunes and it is out now on CircoLoco Records. Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II defends the strong collaborative focus of the EP’s six tracks with ‘No Boys Allowed (OG House Mix).‘ The tune features Canadian artist Tommy Genesis, known for her collaborations with JPEGMAFIA, Charli XCX, and Lana Del Rey. Her sultry vocal style will draw you into the rhythm, intertwining hypnotically with Mochakk’s masterful production. The tune is already a dancefloor essential. ‘Estribeira‘ follows, featuring rising Brazilian artist, personal videographer, and close friend Artisian. They blend vocals and siren samples with heavy kick drums and a punchy bassline. Each element waves together and creates a masterpiece highlighting both artists’ strong Brazilian influences. ‘No Boys Allowed (Street Mix)‘ closes out the EP with Mochakk delivering a fresh, downtempo reinterpretation of the original. While it still integrates Tommy Genesis’ vocals seamlessly, this version introduces a more relaxed, atmospheric vibe. The perfect counterpart to the high-energy house mix. This one features the heavy bass you may are waiting. If you have missed the first installment, ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I’ captivated audiences with its innovative sound and energy. The first part of the EP featured the title track, a collaboration with VTSS, and ‘The Line,’ a solo track from Mochakk featuring his own vocals. The first part of the EP concludes with ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 (Dub Mix),’ a stripped-back version of the original. Together with the second part of this EP, Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 further elevates the project and continues to demonstrate why Mochakk is a giant in the electronic music scene today. Fans can experience all six tracks from both parts of ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099’ live during Mochakk’s upcoming shows and via CircoLoco Records. Sensu's Raw "Pieces" EP Is an Autopsy of Club Culture: Listen
With her new EP Pieces, Sensu doesn't just evoke emotions—she weaponizes them to redefine dancefloors as hubs for shared experiences. Out now via London's Attack Decay Sweet Release label, the EP arrives in the midst of a breakout for the surging Swiss producer, whose music recently received spins on the acclaimed BBC Radio 1 shows of Pete Tong, Jaguar and Sarah Story. Pieces is less an EP and more an autopsy of club culture, laying bare its beating heart and ragged lungs through four emotive dance bangers. A raw blend of jungle, breakbeat and 4x4, it's the sound of a rave eaten alive by its own hunger for catharsis. Sensu flexes her versatility throughout, delivering a collection that lives in the tension between introspection and movement. "My Luv" is an undeniable standout, leaving listeners deliriously dancing on the graves of romance. A central lyrical grenade ricochets off walls of sweat-slicked synths: "Driving me crazy, I thought you were my love." Another standout comes with the EP's final track, the jungle-inspired "Switch Up." Here, she produces claustrophobic drums underneath icy vox to close with a paradoxical beast that's somehow both frenzied and brooding. "You Get It Or You Don't:" Exploring the Badass Femininity of Ninajirachi's New Album, "girl EDM"
Immersing us in her singular world of glitched-out, glitter-showered electronica, Ninajirachi has released a brand-new album, girl EDM. The virtuosic producer, one EDM.com's best artists of 2022, has been on a furious rise through electronic music's ranks. Last year's scintillating 4x4 EP fanned the flames of her ascent, but girl EDM pours gasoline. "There are girls and EDM and there is girl EDM… Cat ears, furry paws, Angel Music, headphones on world off, sci-fi fantasy ren-fair cosplay windows down hands in the air Nintendo 3DS at the beach until the sun sets," Ninajirachi tells EDM.com. "Late night all up in the car seat, blue energy drink, kandi bracelet, producer girls, computer girls, cyborg girls, all roads lead back to plur… The next step in evolution and a window to the soul." Ninajirachi.Aria Zarzycki She kicks off girl EDM with "Angel Music," in which we're immediately engulfed by the album's neon-drenched production. The track, as bright in sound as the technicolor anime that inspires Ninajirachi, urgently reminds us that "girls like this come straight from heaven." This fantastical hyperpop journey only grows more visceral with supersonic beats that saturate the album in the singular whimsy of Ninajirachi. "Hand on my heart" and "Wayside" are prime examples, pulsating with the glitchy sounds of chiptune. Meanwhile, tracks like "1x1" and "Ninacamina" carry a darker, denser ambience and exploring more brooding sounds. In a strategic and skillful move, "Undo U" appears twice on girl EDM: once in its whimsical, resounding original version and again in four-on-the-floor form. The remixed "4x4" version carries the same wintry message, "I know something that could undo you," but the words burrow themselves into a frenetic, hyperactive beat. To close out the album, its titular track begins with a heart-racing cadence, its kickdrums slicing through effervescent, digitized harmonies. However, behind its rousing production lies a weighty message of strength and resilience through feathery vocals. The drop then detonates with distorted synths and a bassline that refuses to relent, beautifully echoing of the album's prevailing ethos of self-discovery. girl EDM is out now via Nina Las Vegas' NLV Records.
