Armin van Buuren And Ben Hemsley Created The ASOT 2025 Anthem Live
We’re gearing up for the main song of the leading Trance movement in the world. A State Of Trance, the gift that keeps on giving. The brand, founded and led by genre pioneer and trailblazer Armin van Buuren, has a strong tendency to crush it year after year, showcasing the past, the present and the future of that sound some hearts beat for. 2025, as we’re now aware, will be no exception. As it is a tradition by now, each year Armin invites other pillars of the Trance world to craft the corresponding year’s ASOT anthem together. Last year we saw an incredible collaboration which left us impressed from the absolute get-go: ‘Destination‘, a piece 100% engineered by our favourite veterans Armin, Ferry Corsten, Rank 1 and Ruben de Ronde. One particular aspect that was super interactive and delightful to internauts all over was that the track was crafted live. How, I hear you ask? These guys mounted a livestream setup on the Armada studio while they worked on the song, and attendees could see, quite literally, history in the making. This modality has carried on to this year too. Armin van Buuren & Ben Hemsley I cannot believe my words as I’m typing this, but it’s true. Ben Hemsley is the special collaborator of this year’s ASOT anthem. For those of you who haven’t heard of him yet, Ben is an absolute monster. Initially a House aficionado, sometime in the past three years he went all-in on Trance. And not any kind of Trance: Classic Trance. With incredible anthems such as the by-now iconic ‘Erase Me’ (see above), ‘IBIZA’ and ‘Closer’, he’s cemented himself as the next star of the Trance side of the Dance spectrum, and with good reason. He’s recently played the twelfth — and last — show of his Ibiza Residency of this season, and he’s stepping outside his Bebé Recordings imprint for a collab with the hero of many. Earlier today, both minds sat together in the studio to craft the beautiful anthem that’s going to soundtrack next year’s ASOT. You can watch the entire 4-hour stream by clicking the player above. We can’t wait for the final version of this beast of a track, which, like last year, spells “Classic” with all its letters. Born too late to explore the world, born too early to explore the universe. Born just in time to witness Classic Trance return to the masses. The post Armin van Buuren And Ben Hemsley Created The ASOT 2025 Anthem Live appeared first on EDMTunes.

Diwali Celebrations Around the World: The Festival of Lights Across Continents
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most significant festivals in India and holds a deep cultural and spiritual meaning for millions of people worldwide. While its origins lie in the Indian subcontinent, the vibrant and joyous celebrations of Diwali have transcended borders, with the festival now being observed by communities across the globe. Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. It’s a time when homes are decorated with oil lamps and candles (diyas), fireworks illuminate the night sky, and families come together to celebrate with delicious food, colorful rangoli (decorative patterns), and the sharing of gifts. Whether it’s in the bustling streets of New Delhi or the multicultural neighborhoods of New York, the essence of Diwali remains the same—unity, joy, and the spreading of light. This article will explore Diwali celebrations around the world, providing insight into how different countries embrace this beautiful festival while blending it with their unique cultural flavors. Let’s embark on a global journey to see how Diwali is celebrated across continents in 2024. Diwali Celebrations in India: The Heart of the Festival Diwali Celebrations in India: The Heart of the Festival India is the birthplace of Diwali, and its celebrations here are as diverse as the country itself. The festival typically spans five days, with each region of India observing its own traditions, customs, and rituals. Northern India: Diwali in the north is often associated with the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after his 14-year exile and his victory over the demon king Ravana. In cities like Delhi, Jaipur, and Varanasi, homes and temples are lit up with diyas and candles, markets buzz with energy, and grand firework displays light up the skies. The night of Lakshmi Puja is central to the celebrations, where devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Southern India: In South India, Diwali is celebrated as Naraka Chaturdashi, marking Lord Krishna’s victory over the demon Narakasura. Here, people wake up early, apply oil to their bodies, and take a ceremonial bath. This cleansing ritual is considered auspicious and is believed to rid the body of evil and darkness. The celebrations in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka are often quieter but still filled with family gatherings, sweets, and lighting of lamps. Western India: In Gujarat and Maharashtra, Diwali marks the New Year according to the Hindu calendar. The festival is a time for prayers, business ventures, and seeking blessings for prosperity. The highlight here is Govardhan Puja and Annakut, where hundreds of food offerings are prepared and presented to deities in temples. Why You Should Visit: Experiencing Diwali in India is witnessing the festival in its most authentic form. From the cultural richness of the rituals to the grandeur of the decorations and fireworks, India offers a magical Diwali experience. Diwali Celebrations in Nepal: The Festival of Tihar In Nepal, Diwali is celebrated as Tihar, a festival that spans five days and is similar in essence to India’s Diwali but with some unique Nepali traditions. Tihar is also known as the Festival of Lights, but it emphasizes not only the human connection but also the importance of animals in daily life. Day 1 – Kaag Tihar: The first day of Tihar is dedicated to crows, considered the messengers of death in Hindu mythology. People offer food to crows to ward off bad omens. Day 2 – Kukur Tihar: On this day, dogs are honored for their loyalty and protection. Dogs are garlanded with marigold flowers and offered special treats, symbolizing the bond between humans and animals. Day 3 – Gai Tihar and Laxmi Puja: Cows are worshiped on the third day, representing prosperity and well-being. The evening is marked by Laxmi Puja, where homes and temples are decorated with lamps to welcome Goddess Lakshmi. Day 4 – Govardhan Puja: Similar to India, this day celebrates the agricultural roots of the region, with offerings made to bulls and other animals used in farming. Day 5 – Bhai Tika: The last day of Tihar is dedicated to siblings, with sisters performing rituals to ensure the longevity and happiness of their brothers. Why You Should Visit: Tihar’s emphasis on the relationship between humans, animals, and the divine sets it apart from traditional Diwali celebrations. The rituals are steeped in Nepali culture, making it a unique experience for anyone seeking a different perspective on the Festival of Lights. The International Music Summit Is Expanding to Dubai
The International Music Summit is expanding to Dubai, its organizers revealed today. Held annually in Ibiza, the storied summit has grown into one of the electronic music industry's most influential gatherings, serving as a seedbed for innovation and growth over the course of its 17-year history. From major label executives to emerging DJs, IMS attracts a diverse range of attendees who come together to discuss industry trends, explore new technologies and celebrate the culture on a global scale. Hosted by Pete Tong, the inaugural IMS Dubai is scheduled for November 14-15 at W Hotel - Mina Seyahi in partnership with AlphaTheta and Beatport. The event is said to focus on "investment, entrepreneurship and business growth" while "celebrating the innovative music and rich cultural heritage of the MENA region, spotlighting the artists, collectives and visionaries driving its evolution." IMS won't receive government incentives or funding to execute its expansion into the region, according to its founders. "Our goal is to inspire continued growth, support and investment while addressing the unique cultural challenges musicians and startups face," the summit's founders said in a press release. "Electronic music culture is built on long-standing principles of bringing people together from diverse backgrounds on the dancefloor. Music has the power to unify and we all have a part to play in creating safer spaces for all; a principle that IMS and Beatport proudly stand behind." Fueled by a spate of high-profile acquisitions and venue openings, Dubai's nightlife sector is flourishing. The proprietors of the iconic Tomorrowland festival in 2022 opened a palatial desert resort, Terra Solis, billed as "a unique glamping experience in the Arabian Dunes." Dubai-based hospitality titan FIVE in 2023 acquired Pacha Group, one of Ibiza's most illustrious nightlife institutions, in a deal valued at $330 million. A few months later, the organizers of Romania's massive UNTOLD Festival launched an offshoot in Dubai, which they called the city's "first mega-festival." A new open-air "superclub," WHITE, also opened in the Dubai Harbor by virtue of a momentous show headlined by South African dance music icon Black Coffee. Speakers confirmed for the first IMS Dubai include Aloki Batra, CEO of FIVE Hospitality and Pacha Group; Janet Ashak, Head of YouTube Music for MENA; Karima Damir, A&R Director for Warner Music Middle East; and Maha ElNabawi, Managing Editor of Billboard Arabia, the lattermost of whom will deliver the opening keynote. Representatives from a bevy of renowned electronic music brands will also appear at the summit, like Tomorrowland, HE.SHE.THEY., Defected Records and the Association for Electronic Music. On the artist side, speakers include Deep Dish, Stryv, Cosmicat, Yasmeen Selectress and Parvané, among others. Badges for IMS Dubai are set to go on sale Thursday, September 19th. Celebrating 11 Years Of Avicii’s Legendary Album ‘True’
When you try to think of artists or bands out there that have the best debut albums, it’s hard to not think of Avicii’s 2013 masterpiece ‘True.’ Putting a new spin on EDM by adding in elements of country and soul was experimental to say the least, but Avicii masterfully blended the genres together creating an album that stamped his name as one of the biggest EDM artists in the world. He had already started off the early 2010’s incredibly with one of his most iconic songs ‘Levels’ along with some other massive hits like ‘Silhouettes’ and ‘Seek Bromance’ which put Avicii on the map. Despite his success with these house classics, he decided he wanted to try go in a sonically different direction and disrupt the electronic music scene with something new. He would shock the world when he performed at Ultra Music Festival and instead of playing the usual house music, the Swedish DJ would unveil his new sound of EDM and country. This drastic change in style left a lot of people confused and the response from critics and fans was very mixed largely leaning towards negative. Although the initial response wasn’t good, both Avicii and his manager Ash Pournouri had faith in the music. Over the coming weeks the negativity towards the new material mellowed and then it all changed when preceding the release of the full album ‘Wake Me Up’ was released. fabric: The Book chronicles the 25 years of the legendary London night club
fabric captures the journey of a small group of enthusiasts who, rebelling against the commercialisation of the rave scene, converted a derelict meat store in an unfashionable part of London into a venue that remains a cathedral for undiluted dance music with a global following. Featuring stories about the club’s birth, struggles and successes, as well as rare photography and iconic artwork, and an oral history by Joe Muggs featuring over one hundred testimonies from the legendary DJs associated with fabric, this is a celebration of the colossal impact fabric has had on club culture over the last quarter of a century. Above all, it’s a story about the misfits and visionaries who made it happen, the curators and resident DJs who have kept it true to its roots, and the experiences of clubbers on the dancefloor. Cameron Leslie, fabric Co-Founder & Director, said: ‘Creating this book has been a remarkable journey and a rewarding experience. Seeing that, even after 25 years, our contribution is still impactful in the London scene is humbling and is certainly something that motivates us to keep pushing boundaries as well as supporting the community that surrounds us and has given us so much. I hope this book will be well received and will serve as a testament to the legacy of fabric in this truly wonderful world of electronic music.’ Author Joe Muggs said: ‘You know how people say, “If these walls could speak…”? Well, after months of interviews, research and writing, I genuinely did feel like those walls deep under Farringdon were sharing their stories of thousands of nights and millions of dancing bodies passing through. fabric is a living entity with a personality all of its own, a constantly evolving work of art in its own right, a channel for collective consciousness, and getting the chance to immerse so deeply in quarter of a century of its life was just glorious.’ Publisher Lee Brackstone said: ‘fabric is not only one of the greatest clubs in the world it is also a place of enormous cultural importance to the UK music scene and this book, published to coincide with celebrations around their 25th anniversary, is a stunning visual and written testament to those achievements. From its pre-fabric days as a cold store wreck in Smithfield’s meat market to countless nights of dancefloor mayhem, the infamous shuttering a decade ago, the glorious re-opening and beyond, this book is a lavish trip down memory lane for clubbers, ex-ravers, and fans of electronic music in all its iterations. Not every club deserves its own coffee-table history; the challenge with telling the fabric story was keeping it to one beautifully designed volume only.’ fabric will be published by White Rabbit on 3 December in hardback, with two special editions to follow on 17 December, all available to preorder now.
