Brunch Electronik Returning to Downtown LA With Argy, Dubfire and More
After a strong debut earlier this summer in the City of Angels, Brunch Electronik will return this weekend to sunny Southern California for its final summer soiree. The Spanish import, which has been rallying dance music fans for over a decade, landed stateside last July after offshoot events in São Paulo, Madrid, Paris, Lisbon and Lima. An international sensation, Brunch Electronik focuses on day-to-night events with atmospheric enhancements, art installations, quality food options, a vendor village and a laidback European approach. For its second stint in Los Angeles, Brunch Electronik will once again partner with local collectives Minimal Effort and SBCLTR to curate an electronic paradise within the city's Pershing Square. The historic park, located in the heart of Downtown LA, is surrounded by towering skyscrapers, offering guests a truly dramatic backdrop while dancing to the latest in house and techno. Additionally, the urban park's central locale within the city's historic core allows for ease of access for attendees of the event. The Pershing Square metro station is directly across from the park, with access to the B and D lines of the LA Metro Rail system. c/o Press In true LA fashion, the event will take place on the last day of summer, allowing for a proper sendoff to the sweltering festival season in California. The event will be properly closed out with performances by melodic techno superstar Argy alongside minimal mastermind Dubfire, Sol Selectas Records label-head Sabo and rising star Airrica. These artists will help set the tone of the day-to-night festivities for which Brunch Electronik is beloved. When the gates open to this electronic utopia, the SoCal sun will envelop Pershing Square to the tune of laid-back, groovy house heaters. And as night falls, the towering skyscrapers will illuminate the dancefloor, transitioning into a deeper, techno-laden rendezvous. Brunch Electronik will take place on Saturday, September 21st at Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles. Grab your tickets here. Louis The Child Have an Unreleased, Full-Length Hip-Hop Album
Louis The Child today released a new album, The Sun Comes Up, but it apparently only scratches the surface of their music vault. Beloved for their bubbly dance-pop, Louis The Child's Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett are currently sitting on an unreleased, full-length hip-hop album, EDM.com has learned. The duo wrote each beat and even rapped their own lyrics, according to a media alert. The duo produced the project in Malibu, where they temporarily lived prior to today's release of The Sun Comes Up. While the hip-hop music "never saw the light of day," it played a pivotal role in the creation of their long-awaited sophomore album, which dropped today via Interscope. "Writing stuff for this hip-hop project tapped me into a lot of the feelings of where we come from in Chicago, and that tapped me back into the emotions and feelings starting Louis the Child," Hauldren said. "A lot of the music in this new project taps into a lot of the sounds we used earlier in our career, but through a much more refined and advanced lens with that many more years of experience." It seems surprising on the surface, but Louis The Child are known for testing the waters of other genres. The duo in late-2022 launched Black Marble, an alias under which they produce "experimental electronic music with a darker, clubbier, European late-night vibe," they told EDM.com in an interview at the time. It's important to note that Louis The Child have not formally announced the untitled hip-hop project at the time of this writing. BRANDON and No/Me's New House Banger Is a Love Letter to London's Underground
BRANDON and No/Me have joined forces for a new collaboration, "Lost & Found London," out now via Don Diablo's Hexagon imprint. A sonic love letter to London's underground, the track captures fleeting moments of urban freedom—hopping barriers, chasing beats, embracing the unexpected—through heady house music. It's both an ode to nocturnal self-indulgence and a soundtrack for strangers to become friends, linked by the gravitational pull of all things four-on-the-floor. A seductive vocal performance from the surging singer-songwriter No/Me paints vignettes of strangers colliding on dark dancefloors, sharing breathless conversations that evaporate along with their sweat. Ensnared in BRANDON's propulsive production, her vocals capture the raw energy and sense of community that defines London's storied club culture. The new single arrives in the midst of a breakout for both artists. No/Me in 2023 nabbed the Electronic Dance Music Award for House Song Of The Year, winning for her collaboration with Noizu and Westend, "Push to Start." iPhone Will Finally Allow iMessage-Like Features When Texting With Android
Good news comes from the Tech bubble today. Apple’s latest operating system rolled out for their products, iOS 18, brings a significant improvement for iPhone users who frequently text with Android users. With the addition of RCS (Rich Communication Services) support, these chats will now have features like high-resolution media, typing indicators, and read receipts. This is a welcome development, as iMessage conversations have long been superior to SMS-based chats. While RCS still lacks some features found in iMessage, such as scheduled messages and animated text effects, it offers a significant upgrade over traditional SMS. To check if you’re in an RCS chat, look for the “RCS” or “SMS” indicator in the text-entry box. If you see “RCS,” you’re enjoying the benefits of this improved messaging protocol. It’s important to note that not all carriers support RCS on iPhone yet. While major carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon offer RCS support in the US, smaller carriers like Mint Mobile may not have implemented it yet. If you want to turn off RCS, you can do so in your iPhone’s Settings app. Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > RCS Messaging. RCS is a significant step forward in improving communication between iPhone and Android users. By offering features like high-resolution media and typing indicators, RCS makes texting more enjoyable and efficient. As more carriers adopt RCS support, we can expect to see even greater benefits from this technology in the future. Amy Wiles Amazes On Latest Body Of Work, The Here I Am EP
The all-female EP represents for us, in many ways, how the future of Trance is being woven. Yes we are two days late. No we are not by any means less excited. If anything, we spent a proper chunk of the last 48 hours adding to Amy Wiles‘ Spotify play count. Matter of fact, we could do the same today. The UK-based producer has just released the Here I Am EP, a collection of five impeccable tunes which battle on all fronts of the Trance sphere, and we can’t get enough of them. In case you’re not aware, Amy has been on a roll. She’s come a long way since starting her career at 16. She grew on to become one of Anjunabeats’ most promising acts during Lockdown, and she’s filled that spot gracefully. Having played at major festivals like Tomorrowland, Creamfields, ASOT, and Above & Beyond’s very own ABGT milestone gigs, she’s delivered tune after tune, and set after set. The Here I Am EP Amy is back in the studio today with the release of the long-awaited Here I Am EP. By sheer coincidence, the five-track release is comprised entirely of female acts. Alongside Amy, who rocks the two solo tracks ‘For You’ and the title track ‘Here I Am’ — which went on to become one of our picks for our New Music Friday series a few weeks ago CITEHERE—, Nourey, HANA, and Leena Punks all make an appearance this time, on the tracks ‘Human’, ‘Dreamland’, and ‘Sweet Feeling’ respectively. The entire EP approaches Trance in a very respectful way, yet with a much-needed amount of forward motion. All tracks are a nod to the past in their own respective ways, but they don’t get stuck in the past, and instead ferrycorsten their way to become works of yesteryear emotion with modern production tidiness. “Some of these musical ideas have been in the works for quite some time, some came together in the space of a couple of months“, Wiles says. Amy Wiles — Here I Am EP Tracklist Here I Am Human with Nourey Dreamland with HANA For You Sweet Feeling with Leena Punks Writer’s Picks It’s uncommon for me to like an EP or longer release in such a way that I can’t pick one. I’m digging the entire journey from beginning to end. That said, one track hasn’t failed once to make me sing along: ‘Human‘. I’m cooking breakfast and I’ll surprise myself humming the melody in the kitchen. And so, for that, it’s got to earn the top spot for me. ‘Human’ has got something I can only describe as the sound I fell in love with when I first discovered Anjuna. I came to the label around 2015, so Progressive Trance was in full swing, and I can really see the link between Amy and Nour’s track and, say, a hybrid between Sunny Lax and the later years of ilan Bluestone. It’s got the groove, the vibe, the tension… everything. Final Words Truly a spectacular work, all-round. If this is the future of Trance, I don’t want to miss a second of it. Listen to Chris Lake and Disclosure's Down-and-Dirty House Track, "in2minds"
At this stage in their illustrious careers, it's clear that Chris Lake and Disclosure intend more on shredding the envelope of house music than pushing it. That's more clear than ever after today's release of their new collaboration, "in2minds," out now via Astrawerks and Lake's Black Book Records. It's house music stripped to its naked core, then rebuilt with a dark, postmodern edge that cuts through the noise of its formulaic counterparts in the genre. As the track unfolds, it reveals layers of gritty textures and brooding, hypnotic rhythms. Disclosure and Lake produce distorted subs and a thick, viscous bassline that oozes through the mix like tar, engulfing everything in its path. "This was a fun and natural collaboration for me," Lake said in a press release. "We made 'in2minds' the first day we got in the studio together. Disclosure and I are both pretty technical and with this song it feels like we kind of flexed on each other a little bit. The result is the collaboration of two minds." Fans of these influential house music producers can look forward to more collaborations in the future after they shared a preview of another new song earlier in the month of September. Disclosure's Guy Lawrence also said today's release is "just the first of a few bits we have cooking." Listen to "in2minds" below and find the new single on streaming platforms here. Brazil’s KLEAN leads off upcoming EP with lead single ‘Sem Parar’
Brazil’s rising star Klean, a 21-year-old producer with a stand out sound and knack for hooky beats is leading off the run up to a new 4-track EP with a bumping lead single. After catching Rihanna’s ear with his “Rude Boy” remix at the Super Bowl, he’s been busy in the studio, recently remixing DJ Snake and Peso Pluma’s “Taka” and now dropping his own single, “Sem Parar.” The track and leads single from his upcoming 4-track EP literally means “Non-Stop” in Portuguese and blends baile funk’s infectious energy with polished EDM production. Teaming up with his mentors Tropkillaz and the dynamic MC Carol (a baile funk legend and feminist icon in her own right), Klean’s crafting a sound that aims to put Brazilian beats on the global map. It’s a bold move in a crowded field, but Klean’s got the chops to back it up. The post Brazil’s KLEAN leads off upcoming EP with lead single ‘Sem Parar’ appeared first on Dancing Astronaut.

8Kays Teams Up With Delhia De France On ‘Human Nature’
As good of a banging Melodic Techno as you’ll get. We’ve got amazing news today coming from two incredible stars in the making. On one side, we’ve got 8Kays, a by-now near-legendary artist who’s carved a space for her unique sound between the Melodic Techno and Progressive fronts of the Dance industry. On the other side, Delhia De France, one of the recurring voices of the genre, having lent her lyrics and timbre to a variety of chart-topping acts. The two have joined forces today to release a banging new single, ‘Human Nature‘, out now via DGTL Records. Known for her artistic approach and creative vision, 8Kays seamlessly blends Techno with ethereal and melodic elements. With releases on labels like Afterlife, Bedrock Records, and Watergate, she’s built quite an impressive portfolio. During the last few years, she has toured globally, performing at prestigious festivals like Tomorrowland, Awakenings, and Timewarp. She’s also a regular at club shows in Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza. Delhia De France is yet another icon of the Melodic House & Techno scene, having worked on some of the most hyped releases of the last seasons. She has released on labels such as Afterlife, Diynamic, Siamese, RoseAvenue, This Never Happened, Anjunadeep, and more. Delhia’s own productions include two EPs which saw support from BBC/Pete Tong, Beatport, Spotify, XL8R, and remixes for Janus Rasmussen (Kiasmos) and Robot Koch, as well as writing feature songs for TV shows. ‘Human Nature’ 8Kays and Delhia’s conjoint effort in ‘Human Nature‘ explores the most polished bit of their knowledge, providing a powerful tune that is not only a must-dance at clubs, but also carries a punch of deep lyricism blending with mysterious atmospheres and thematic textures and keys. Delhia’s lyrics explore the complexities of human desires and how life’s experiences can change us. She beautifully describes the paradox of wanting something we can never have. “Yet, isn’t yearning, longing and dreaming not also something inherently human while somehow feeling supernatural in its pure force?“, the song wonders, via her voice. Ecstasy Meets Agony in RayRay and Softest Hard's New Single, "Fall Apart"
Hearts race and splinter in "Fall Apart," the new collaboration from RayRay and Softest Hard, out now on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records. True to form, the two artists have crafted a hyperactive house beat that refuses to relent. But this time around, its energy belies its emotional core, serving as a relentless metronome measuring out the moments of a love's decay. RayRay and Softest Hard's vocals oscillate between ecstasy and agony through bittersweet lyrics that capture the electric, in-the-moment thrill of passion and the static aftermath of its dissolution. The saccharine highs of their upbeat production give way to the acrid taste of that loss, like a honey-drizzled dessert that—underneath its sweetness—hides a hidden depth of sadness. RayRay says the track is meant to "show a different side" of both producers, who are known for pushing the tempo to the bleeding edge. "I've known Softest Hard for quite a while, and we finally had the chance to collaborate on a track together," explains the Taiwanese dance music star. "While creating this song, I was inspired to combine uplifting melodies and rhythms to craft a song about heartbreak—something I feel I'm quite good at." Las Vegas-Based Area15 Cancels Orlando Entertainment Complex
Las Vegas-based Area15, an entertainment complex, has decided not to build a second location in Orlando, Florida. The company has put the 16.5-acre property, located north of the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlet, up for sale. Area15, which opened in Las Vegas in 2022, planned to create a similar experience in Orlando. It would have featured attractions like an art museum, amusement park, and mall. However, the company has made an internal business decision to walk away from the project. The 16-foot-tall robot statue that marked the property, dubbed Mechan 11, has been removed. The property is now listed for sale by international brokerage CBRE, with an asking price yet to be determined. Area 15 Orlando LLC originally bought the property in 2022 for $24.8 million. The Orange County Property Appraiser currently values the land at $23 million. Despite the cancellation of the Orlando project, Area15 remains committed to its Las Vegas location, which has welcomed nearly 2 million visitors in its first year of operation. The Las Vegas venue features attractions such as Van Gogh The Immersive Experience, virtual reality experiences, golf simulators, zip lines, restaurants, distilleries, and events like concerts. The decision to cancel the Orlando project comes as Universal’s Epic Universe is set to open next year, increasing demand for projects in the tourist corridor. CBRE Land Group, which was involved in Universal’s Epic Universe purchase, is handling the marketing of the Area15 property. The cancellation of the Orlando Area15 project is a disappointment for many who were looking forward to the new entertainment complex. However, it’s important to note that the Las Vegas location remains a popular destination for visitors. Ebbing and flowing around the heart-melting delivery, the track glides along wistful circular piano chords, rolling tribal drums, vibrant percussive accents, and deep basslines. The song has generated significant buzz online pre-release and was used in this Reels post of Diplo scaling Mt. Fuji, which has received over 4.6M views. “This original version of ‘Forever’ (by Adventure Club) was the anthem of Ultra Music Festival 2014, which was also my first time performing at the festival in Miami. This track has stayed with me over the years and holds a lot of memories around this moment. So, when I was looking for a new sample, I realized no one had produced a house track version of this song, so I decided I would be the one to do it. While Diplo and I send each other music all the time, Malou actually first introduced the demo to him during a studio session they were doing together. I then sent him my first version of the song, which he tested out during his Antarctic set – the response was big, so many people were asking about the track. From there, we worked through a couple of modifications, and now it’s ready to share with the world,” HUGEL says. Accompanying HUGEL and Diplo on this bonafide smash are Malou & Yuna. Malou is a singer/songwriter from LA who has become a hot ticket in dance music, leaving her stamp on progressive house, melodic house & techno, trance, bass, and beyond (releases with Ben Böhmer, Reinier Zonneveld, Jan Blomqvist, Giuseppe Ottaviani). Based out of LA, Yuna is an R&B and soulful pop artist whose silky vocals have graced tracks from some of the biggest names in dance (previous tracks with ZHU, Adventure Club, Ekali, Big Wild). You can listen to ‘Forever’ below and on all available streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more news! Louis The Child Heals Our Inner Child With New Album ‘The Sun Comes Up’
Today, Louis The Child released their sophomore album, The Sun Comes Up, via Interscope Records. The album’s 13 tracks explore a variety of tempos, rhythms, genres and moods, filtering it all through the unique choices and perspectives only Louis The Child can deliver. The acclaimed Chicago production duo – comprising Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett – has charted over 20 hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs tally and amassed nearly two billion combined career streams to date. They call The Sun Comes Up their most personal project to date, but they couldn’t have gotten here without going on a journey of discovery. The Sun Comes Up Dancing is at the heart of The Sun Comes Up, even as it brings plenty of vocal-heavy moments. Trap and hip- hop beats change suddenly into house rhythms, pushing candy-colored synth melodies into new dimensions mid-song. ‘Supercharger,’ which features 1996Montana on vocals exemplifies this beautifully. The Sun Comes Up is a return to form that celebrates curiosity, childlike wonder and gut instinct. From the opening feel-good grooves of ‘Believe It’ (with Madeon) to the wall of sound on the closing track ‘I’m Not Giving Up’ (with MEMBA). The album plays like a field trip through a sunny sky. The accompanying artwork evokes this feeling, showcasing happy little cloud monsters frolicking in a pastel sunrise. Up Next So it’s only fitting that the duo would celebrate the album’s release with a series of outdoor daytime shows. Today, they’ll play Granary Live! In Salt Lake City with special guests Jai Wolf and Wavedash. Tomorrow, September 21, Louis The Child returns to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. They are bringing Jai Wolf, MEMBA and Daniel Allen along with them. (Jai Wolf will be doing a CLUB BABU DJ set at both shows.) The Sun Comes Up is about letting your heart lead the way and finding joy in whatever form or medium it takes. Rather than ignore the sadder moments in life, it celebrates them, encouraging one to walk away with a lesson: “It’s what feels worth the time and energy, doing your best to make the world brighter for yourself, and then along the way, for everyone else, too,” … “When you’re intentionally making music, it’s your choice what to say. Are you going to talk about how much you hate a person, or are you going to talk about how you’ve grown from how they treated you, and try to find some new understanding through it?” Robby Hauldren Naming ‘Believe It’ as one of the best new dance tracks, Billboard observed. “[it’s] all bounce, effervescence and (seemingly) marimba, with the vocals giving the song a pop lean and a singalong melody and all its parts building to a giddy jam”…”. That’s not only joyful, but – in the very quickly moving world of dance releases, memorable too.” CULTR noted, “The vibes are immaculate…”. EDM.com praised ‘Make You Mine’ with Whethan and Hayley May as “a love anthem that’s both introspective and irresistibly danceable.” ThisSongSlaps hailed ‘I’m Not Giving Up’ as “a whimsical future bass beauty that has an undeniable anthemic quality to it that has made it a true fan favorite…” This album is a reflection of our healed, joyous inner child. Ethereal, euphoric, silly, and whimsical, it showcases Louis The Child at their prime. Enjoy. Mat Zo Portrays An Intergalactic Journey With ‘ZOCASE’ EP
Anjunabeats is pleased to welcome back visionary artist Mat Zo for the release of a new EP that celebrates his unpredictable nature as a producer. ZOCASE EP comprises three brand new productions that explore all corners of dance music yet remain distinctly Mat Zo. ZOCASE EP The ZOCASE EP is an extraordinary release packed with exciting, cutting-edge sounds. In typical Mat Zo fashion, he plays by his own rules, and none of the three tracks is under eight minutes long. The opening track, ‘Relic Of The Future, ’ kicks off with a spaced-out groove before launching into a full-out Progressive House and Breakbeat explosion. ‘Bluish Yellow’ starts subtly with a bed of 303s before a brooding kick drops in. It’s a cut that has been played at a number of Mat Zo shows for the past two years, including iconic venues like The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State & Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. ‘This Too Shall Pass’ wastes no time to get started; it’s banging Techno from the get-go. A sublime stutter-effect synth line takes center stage, adding beauty contrasting with the brooding beats. In true Mat Zo fashion, this first ZOCASE EP is a truly genre-less display. About Mat Zo Mat Zo is one of Anjunabeats’ most celebrated artists, with tracks such as ‘Easy’ (with Porter Robinson), ‘Rebound’ (with ARTY), ‘The Sky’ and ‘Superman’ capturing the imagination of the masses. His GRAMMY-nominated debut album, Damage Control, released in 2013, gave Mat’s avant-garde approach to production its full expression. Featuring break-out hit ‘Easy’, the track took Mat mainstream: a BBC Radio 1 A-List addition, Sirius XM BPM listing, a #1 Billboard Heatseeking record, an Essential Mix of the year nomination, and, ultimately, a GRAMMY nomination for best dance and electronic recording. His latest studio album, Illusion of Depth, released on the label in October 2020. The album has garnered over 25 million streams. Moreover, it produced the singles ‘The Next Chapter,’ ‘Problems,’ and ‘Colours,’. The latter, of which played in the soundtrack for the 2021 racing video game Forza Horizon 5. Credit: Charlie Barclay Harris In 2023, Mat Zo toured in North America’s sold-out Anjunabeats After Dark club shows. Chris Lake & Disclosure Come Together For ‘in2minds’
Today, two of the hottest names in dance music have come together for a collaboration of epic proportions. GRAMMY®-nominated DJ/producers Chris Lake and Disclosure have finally shared their massively awaited collaboration ‘in2minds,‘ out now via Black Book Records/Astralwerks. Co-produced by Lake and Disclosure, ‘in2minds’ is a hypnotic banger that pushes their artistry to bold new heights. In a perfect convergence of their potent musicality and forward-thinking vision, the track unfolds in a gorgeous explosion of shimmering synth and frenetic beats, endlessly building in intensity while orbiting around a pulsating groove. The result: a wildly infectious force of nature primed to overtake dance floors all across the globe. “This was a fun and natural collaboration for me. We made ‘in2minds’ the first day we got in the studio together. Disclosure and I are both pretty technical and with this song it feels like we kind of flexed on each other a little bit. The result is the collaboration of two minds.” -Chris Lake ‘in2minds’ first began building buzz back in May, when Disclosure previewed it during their B2B set with Mochakk at Cercle Festival. After teasing the track in July at Black Book On The Pier in Brooklyn, Lake appeared as a surprise guest at Disclosure’s Friends & Family pop-up in Los Angeles in August and once again thrilled the crowd with a special preview of ‘in2minds.’ In addition, leading DJs like Four Tet, salute, Joy Orbison, Ben UFO, and more have played the tune nonstop at underground club shows all summer long. “I’ve been a fan of Chris’s work since discovering his track ‘Piano Hand,’ and only recently discovered we’ve been neighbours in LA for a few years now. When we finally connected, our first time working together led to this track ‘in2minds,’ a fast-paced, bass-heavy 808 driving track with a nice blend of each of our styles & vibes in there. This is just the first of a few bits we have cooking. I hope you all enjoy this one.” -Guy from Disclosure An Epic Summer for Chris Lake & Disclosure Dropping a month after Lake and Disclosure delivered powerhouse sets at HARD Summer in LA, ‘in2minds’ caps off a historic summer for both acts. To that end, Lake is still riding high off his hit collab ‘Summertime Blues‘ with Sammy Virji — a feel-good house anthem that landed on a number of Spotify Viral charts, reigned at #1 on the dance/electronic club charts for several weeks, and received a Danny Howard “Hottest Record” premiere in the UK. In the midst of dominating major festivals all throughout the season, Lake also released Black Book ID’s: Chapter 8 (the latest compilation from the pioneering label he founded in 2016), whose globe-spanning tracklist includes Cloonee’s remix of his 2022 hit ‘In The Yuma‘ ft. Aatig. Meanwhile, Disclosure scored a global smash with ‘She’s Gone, Dance On,‘ an unstoppable summer heater that premiered as the “Hottest Record” on BBC Radio 1’s “New Music Show with Jack Saunders,” debuted at 16 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, and graced Billboard’s Friday Dance Music Guide. Since premiering in May (with its stunningly choreographed video following in July), the lush and euphoric track has received remixes from the likes of U.K. phenom Hamdi, Turkish DJ Carlita, and U.S. legend Todd Edwards. Kevin De Vries returns to Afterlife with ‘Saga EP’ and Y do I
Just ahead of Afterlife’s event in Milan, planned for tomorrow, Tale Of Us’s imprint is spicing things up with a new imprint. Long-time Afterlife artist Kevin De Vries has teamed up with the Y do I duo for Saga EP. The three-track EP includes Parts Of Me and Arrakeen as well as the EP title track. The new EP combines emotionally charged moments with pulsating basslines and high-energy harmonies. Tapping into the juxtaposition of light and dark, the EP exemplifies the Afterlife sound, cultivating human connection through rhythm, emotion, and vibration. The EP opens with its title track “Saga,” a composition that embodies the classic Afterlife style. It unfolds gradually, beginning with cinematic, dreamy harmonies. Then, it evolves into a hypnotic plucked arpeggio, skillfully blending progressive elements with melodic lines. Following the opener, “Part Of Me” treads a similar path but with a darker, more mysterious atmosphere. An enigmatic synth line elevated by stunning vocals drives the track. It perfectly complements the moody soundscape. The EP concludes with “Arrakeen,” a clear homage to Hans Zimmer’s Dune soundtrack. This final track transports listeners to a vast and mysterious realm, where hypnotic, ethereal vocals create an otherworldly ambiance. The arrangement features a powerful breakdown that momentarily slows the pace, only to launch into an intense second drop characterized by hard techno beats. Y do I at Afterlife If Kevin De Vries is a well-known name in the industry, who is Y do I? Amos Chalfonand David Semo – or Y do I as they’re more commonly known–have emerged as avid producers from the underground scene. Their sound encapsulates a vast array of musical influences. They range from psytrance, house, minimal, melodic techno, and everything in between. The duo’s hard-hitting catalog of releases has enjoyed incredible live support from some of the biggest artists on the planet as well. Up next for Afterlife Are you looking for more Afterlife events? Afterlife is set to close Ushuaia and Hi Ibiza this October as well.
