  1. Gravitas Ventures, an Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company have shared the official trailer for ‘Between The Beats’, a feature documentary that explores San Francisco’s early 90’s rave scene, its legacy and the influence on the Bay Area and the global dance scene today. The film is set to release on VOD platforms on October 15, 2024. The film, directed by Martin O’Brien, produced by O’Brien and Mike Koeppel and edited by Robbie Proctor, features Brian Behlendorf, DJ Harvey, DJ Dan, DJ Doc Martin, DJ Garth, DJ Jeno, Joe Haller, Ethan Miller, and other major players in San Francisco’s blissful early 90s rave scene and its powerful influence across the world. San Francisco was the epi-center of the American rave scene and witnessed some legendary events that began in the early ‘90s. These all-night electronic-music dance parties attracted a diverse cross-section of people. Culturally iconic and socially important, the parties became a catalyst in the lives of so many of the people who experienced them, many of whom went on to become huge players in Silicon Valley, the global dance music scene, and the world of activism. Energetic and inspiring, ‘Between The Beats’ examines the do-it-yourself mentality and psychedelic community spirit that the San Francisco Bay Area rave scene epitomised. “Bringing “Between The Beats” to life was incredibly personal to me as one of the many people who helped create the rave scene in San Francisco. The film was made to take viewers on a journey back to an early 90s music scene that has since grown into the hugely popular EDM / electronica phenomenon across the globe. I wanted to capture the magic of those early years and celebrate transformational music and the powerfully positive energy among its participants,” said Martin O’Brien. “Gravitas is thrilled to be the North American partner for Between the Beats,” added Mackenzie Maguire, Acquisitions Manager, Gravitas Ventures. “This intimate look into the San Francisco rave scene is sure to fascinate audiences nationwide.” For more information, visit www.gravitasventures.com The post San Francisco’s Early 90’s Rave Scene Documentary “BETWEEN THE BEATS” appeared first on Decoded Magazine.
  2. The final step of the ritual has been finalized. No, no, we’re not summoning demonic spirits from the netherrealm. Instead, we are celebrating the debut album of the High Priestess herself. Sara Landry had a whirlwind of a year, becoming the face for Hard Techno and women empowerment in the scene. With her witchy and intense vibes, Landry invokes her magnum opus Spiritual Driveby. Now available on her label HEKATE Records, the album has already wreak havoc all over the world. Spiritual Driveby The Texas native DJ takes you on a wild and delicious ride from beginning to end. The album begins with the ambient track ‘devotion 396hz‘ that includes the vocals from Sara’s personal hypnotist, Restorative Hypnosis. Then, let mayhem begin. The album follows a journey into a sexy underworld, which includes the lead singles ‘Prisoner’, ‘Heaven’, ‘Pressure’, and ‘Because they want our Seat’. The entire opus is a collaboration with incredible producers, including Shlømo, Mike Dean, Nico Moreno, Alt8, LEGZDINA, Alex Farrell, and more. However, the true essence of the LP lies within the rest of the tracks that were not as heavily marketed. ‘Veni Vidi Vici’ is an absolute banger. Aaron Hibell, UK DJ known for his incredible Trance-influenced tracks and versatility helped craft this track alongside a choir singer. The elite Latin Vocals and the runs add such an ancestral eerieness to the track, which influences the vibe of the album. ‘Speaker Freaker’ features Diøn, and its distorted synths fill each dancefloor and festival with vigor and euphoria. As someone that has seen ms. Landry live four times this year, the way she is able to embrace the entire album on her sets in a way that every single sets feels unique, new, and fresh, speaks highly of her skills to create pristine atmospheres on each set. Moreover, the album is a big F*** You to people that doubt and challenge her success, her audio-engineering, and production skills on mysoginistic attempts to discredit her. Nevertheless, the album’s purpose is to represent that sense of unity on the dancefloor through intense beats and dark melodies. Up Next As usual, Sara landry continues to aim higher and higher on her goals. Major milestones for the High Priestess include headlining the mainstage at Tomorrowland in Belgium, being the first DJ to bring Hard Techno to that platform. We also have to recognize Charlotte de Witte for being the first Female Techno DJ to close out that stage in 2022. Furthermore, Landry started her HEKATE takeovers in LA and Tennessee. Let’s not forget she was the first artist to host a two-day Hard Techno event at The Caverns. With multiple tracks topping the Techno charts on Beatport, Landry is just starting to warm up. In a couple weeks, we will return to III Points to catch yet another filthy Sara Landry set in Miami, as she makes her return to EDC’s Cruise EDSEA for her second year in a row. November will be packed as Landry embarks in her Veni Vidi Vici tour. After an incredible Arc Music Festival show, Sara will invade Radius in Chicago for two nights of mischief. Her power will also influence Dallas and Denver. Then, she will head down to South America to culminate the tour in Lima, São Paulo, and Santiago de Chile. It might sound whimsical to always use mystical references when we speak of mother Sara. It serves a purpose, though. There is a reason why she has established such a wonderful following. Her music, and her craft, have managed to bring people together and channel different emotions through hard beats. This has resonated with a major audience, allowing her sound to become more mainstream, even when Hard Techno is still such a niche genre within EDM. Spiritual Driveby receives the EDMTunes seal of approval, due to its high-octane, emotional, and cathartic value. Kudos to her and her team. 3. Fifteen years ago, on October 6, 2009, Tiësto released his groundbreaking fourth studio album, ‘Kaleidoscope’, marking a pivotal shift in his career and redefining the boundaries of electronic music. Known for his trance roots, ‘Kaleidoscope’ saw the Dutch DJ and producer branching out into new genres, blending elements of indie, pop, and electro into his signature sound. The result was a genre-defying album that showcased Tiësto‘s versatility and willingness to experiment. Featuring collaborations with a diverse array of artists like Jónsi (of Sigur Rós), Kele Okereke (of Bloc Party), Nelly Furtado, and Tegan and Sara, ‘Kaleidoscope’ became a bridge between the worlds of electronic dance music and mainstream pop. Tracks like ‘Feel It in My Bones’ and ‘I Will Be Here’ introduced a more melodic, song-driven approach to Tiësto‘s music, while still retaining the festival-ready energy that fans had come to love. ‘Kaleidoscope’ was not only a commercial success, but it also marked a key moment in Tiësto’s career as he evolved from trance superstar to a multi-genre pioneer in the electronic music world. The album’s eclectic mix of sounds, moods, and styles expanded his fan base and demonstrated his ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing music landscape. As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of ‘Kaleidoscope’, its legacy remains as one of Tiësto’s most influential releases, pushing the boundaries of electronic music and opening doors for future collaborations between electronic artists and mainstream pop stars.
  4. Going into 2013 both Alesso and Calvin Harris were on a role with Calvin Harris coming off the back of releasing his incredible ‘18 Months’ album and Alesso having released the biggest tracks of his career at the time with ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’ and ‘Years.’ Following on from this success they combined their talents to deliver the progressive house classic, ‘Under Control.’ This track is a perfect combination of Alesso and Harris’s styles along with some brilliant vocals from Theo Hutchcraft of the British synth pop duo Hurts who had been friends with Calvin Harris for years though this would be their first time working together. Speaking with NME, Theo said they “wanted to make it (the song) a representative of the three of us” which was perfectly achieved with each artist having parts of the song where their influence shone through such as the chorus where Alesso’s euphoric progressive house style takes centre stage. ‘Under Control’ was a huge hit debuting at number one in the Official UK Singles Chart which was Alesso’s first of many number hits to come. The track would appear on Alesso’s debut album ‘Forever’ and Calvin Harris’s ‘Motion’ album with it being a massive highpoint on both and has since gone on to receive just shy of 600 million streams on Spotify. When it comes to naming the best collaborations of all time in electronic music, ‘Under Control’ is one that cannot be ignored. Its commercial success is impressive, however it is far surpassed by the lasting love from the electronic music community along with its great message of cherishing life and living it to max with no regrets.

  6. Once more pushing the boundaries of what is feasible is the Danish audio firm AIAIAI. With their TMA-2 DJ Wireless, their most recent product, the DJ equipment scene reaches a major turning point. These innovative cans, which are the first headphones made especially for wireless DJing, seem to free DJs from cable limitations without sacrificing performance. The Wireless Revolution: TMA-2 DJ Wireless DJ headphones looked like a far-off dream for years. The main deterrent is latency. Perfect beatmatching is almost impossible since even milliseconds of delay between the audio source and the headphones could affect a DJ’s timing. With their ultra-low latency wireless technology, AIAIAI says they have found the answer. We love music technology, and this advancement excites us much. For many performers, the freedom to roam the DJ booth without thinking about twisted connections or inadvertent disconnection might alter everything. It’s about boosting the whole DJ experience and opening more creative options, not only about convenience. With the TMA-2 DJ Wireless, we set out to create wireless DJ headphones that truly meet the demands of DJs. For years, wireless technology meant compromising on performance, but with our ultra-low latency wireless technology, we are finally able to deliver a solution that offers both freedom and precision. This is a game-changer for DJs looking to break free from cables. – Frederik Jørgensen, Founder Technical Prowess Let’s explore the features defining the TMA-2 DJ Wireless’s uniqueness: Ultra-Low Latency: Headlining feature and rightly so is ultra-low latency. Should AIAIAI indeed provide a delay-free wireless experience, it could transform DJs’ attitude to their work. Battery Life: With almost 25 hours of playtime, these headphones are designed to last through even the most marathon events. For professional DJs who cannot afford to have their equipment die mid-performance, this is absolutely vital. Sound Quality: AIAIAI guarantees professional-grade sound with strong bass and transparent treble. This tuning seems designed for the club setting, where DJs must clearly hear their mix above background noise. Isolation: Another important quality for DJs operating in loud surroundings is great sound isolation. It lets you monitor precisely without having to turn the volume to maybe dangerous levels. Durability: Designed for the rigors of professional use, these headphones build on the established design of the TMA-2 DJ. Touring DJs who want equipment able to resist frequent travel and use should find a great attraction in the lightweight but strong build. Modularity The TMA-2 DJ Wireless’s connection with AIAIAI’s modular ecosystem is one feature that really impresses us. Current TMA-2 owners can update their headphones by only substituting a transmitter and new speaker components. Lowering electronic waste not only increases the accessibility of new technology but also conforms with ideas of sustainable product design. AIAIAI is betting on wireless technology The TMA-2 DJ Wireless is not the first attempt by AIAIAI into wireless audio for artists. Showcasing the company’s commitment to releasing artists from conventional limitations, it follows the TMA-2 Studio Wireless+ and UNIT-4 Wireless+ studio monitors. This constant attention to wireless technology for use in professional audio is driving the whole sector ahead. 12. *Featured Cover Photo Credit: Scott Hutchinson / Portola Music Festival On the weekend of Sept. 27-28, the Portola Music Festival at Pier 80 in San Francisco once again electrified fans, just like it did in 2022 and 2023. Fans get to experience plenty of world-class Techno, House, Electro-Rock, Drum-n-Bass, and more during those two days and the warm yet breezy weather made it all better. The festival, of course, occurred before the heat wave that is currently affecting most of the Bay Area at this moment. Aside from the music that turned up the crowds from the first minute the festival gates opened on the 27th to when the last beat dropped on the 28th, there were vast amounts of amenities that satisfied the fans. The diverse array of food, drinks, merchandise, and even accessible accommodations ensured every fan that they received the high-quality service and treatment the festival prides itself upon. Here is the summary of the 2024 edition of Portola Music Festival, a festival that celebrates San Francisco’s love for wonderful music regardless of genre. Photo Credit: Scott Hutchinson / Portola Music Festival Entering Pier 80 To Enjoy Portola Music Festival Pier 80 is near one of San Francisco’s top nightclubs/entertainment venues, The Midway. In fact, located near The Midway are two entrances that lead to Portola Music Festival, one from Cesar Chavez Street and one from Marin Street. Once fans get past the festival gates and make their first steps inside Pier 80, they can see the importance of the pier in global trade since Pier 80 is San Francisco’s only pier that can support direct unloading of materials from ships to railroad cars for further transportation and distribution of goods. Fans also enjoyed the bountiful food stalls and bar booths spread throughout the festival’s grounds and the same goes for other amenities such as merchandise stands, medical tents, lockers, and restrooms. The four stages of Pier 80 from the past two editions of Portola Music Festival returned: Ship Tent, Warehouse, Crane Stage, and Pier Stage. To emphasize the diverse offerings of wonderful music at these stages, one can enter any stage and can still feel very happy, even if they did not know who the artist(s) was before. There were plenty of people pulling out their phones, not only to record clips but also to Shazam the tracks so that they could add those tracks to their playlists for future streaming. Photo Credit: Julian Bajsel / Portola Music Festival Day 1 Highlights Walking on festival grounds, and hopping between the stages, was a very active and amazing feeling. Nils Hoffmann was the first artist to witness when walking inside Ship Tent and the vibe got off to a mellow yet energetic flow. Getting to see Nala, Mall Grab and Floating Points at Warehouse, Nia Archives at Ship Tent, Snow Strippers and JPEGMAFIA at Crane Stage, and Tycho at Pier Stage when the sun was still out provided a great start to the festival. The Warehouse Stage in particular is the only stage that is for the majority covered up since it is literally a warehouse of Pier 80. However, it is a very memorable venue due to bass-pounding, heart-pumping excitement that the Techno rhythms generate throughout the whole area. Furthermore, Jamie XX and RÜFÜS DU SOL (especially when the trio played tracks of their upcoming fifth album, Inhale / Exhale) at Pier Stage, Astra Club (a B2B set between Carlita and DJ Tennis) and Four Tet at Warehouse, and Soulwax and Gesaffelstein (especially when he played his tracks from his most recent album, Gamma) at Crane Stage showed why Portola Music Festival is one of this country’s and also the world’s, most exciting electronic music festivals. In this regard, it is very exciting due to the diversity of not just the Electronic music genres that fans got to hear there, but also the inclusion of various genres of Electro-Rock, Rap, and Pop (especially Electro-Pop) as well. Photo Credit: Julian Bajsel / Portola Music Festival Day 2 pumped the fans even more Day 2 of Portola Music Festival also provided great, top-notch, fire-enhancing music at Pier 80. Among the highlights of the second day were Panjabi Hit Squad and Ahadadream turning up the volume at Ship Tent, Boyz Noise producing a stellar B2B set with VTSS at Warehouse, DJ Pee.Wee (Anderson .Paak‘s vinyl DJ alias) showcasing his multi-skilled musical repertoire at Crane Stage, and LP Giobbi, Ben Böhmer, and a phenomenal live set from Barry Can’t Swim magnified the atmosphere at Pier Stage. As the sun started to set, the atmosphere of Day 2 became more enlightened. Disclosure and Justice ensured the fans continued to have blissful emotions at Pier Stage, Chase & Status, M.I.A., and Fisher frequently played top bangers at Crane Stage when giving out those awesomely massive vibes, Glass Beams at Ship Tent played rhythmic, uplifting music to elevate the senses, and Honey Dijon and Sara Landry at Warehouse really cranked up the volume at maximum levels with sense-stimulating Techno vibrating to all corners of this fantastic stage. A notable live performance from Tinlicker One of the stand out acts of the festival, Tinlicker, performed their closing set at the Ship Tent on Sunday. The duo did a live performance that included some of their classics alongside new tracks from their newest album. The live elements of the performance really took the songs to an ethereal next level, inspiring strong emotions in the crowd. Tinlicker released their third album, Cold Enough for Snow, this past February via [PIAS] Électronique. The emotional yet highly danceable release reinforced the duo’s diamond-sharp production skills, alongside indie guitars, soulful vocals, arresting lyrics and orchestral instruments. Photo Credit: Scott Hutchinson / Portola Music Festival Closing statements Overall, the 2024 edition of Portola Music Festival showed that the festival is here to stay in the “City by the Bay”. Festival organizers ensured that the sound levels will be at an appropriate amount for the festival attendees to still have a spectacular time dancing their hearts away and at the same time, ensure that the privacy of the nearby residents (especially those living across the Bay) are at ease as well. Hopefully, Portola Music Festival at Pier 80 will become a three-day celebration just like other globally renowned festivals such as EDC, Ultra, and Tomorrowland. Last but not least, check out the Portola 2024 Official Playlist by clicking ‘Play’ on the Spotify link below. The playlist will allow festival attendees the perfect opportunity to relive their memories of the festival again. For those who did not attend this past weekend’s Portola Music Festival, hopefully the playlist will allow you to imagine that they are moving to the groove at Pier 80. 18. Imagine diving into the world of melodic house and techno, where deep emotions and euphoric beats blend together, filling you with hope, nostalgia, and uplifting energy. Does this sound like something you’d love to experience? Then look no further, because Ben Böhmer, the rising star from Germany, has just released his latest album, “Bloom”—an exquisite collection of tracks that will undoubtedly take you on an emotional journey. Ben Böhmer, the composer and producer who constantly seeks to give life to new ideas through his music, began his musical journey as a teenager when he studied piano without using sheet music under Christoph Busse. This triggered his love for improvisation and experimentation, and his pursuit of creative freedom and experimentation drew him from rural Germany to Berlin, where he fell in love with the club scene. At the age of 18, he started playing at clubs, where he sharpened his performance skills and explored what electronic music could offer. This shaped Ben Böhmer into a DJ who today has a distinct ability to infuse his music with deep emotions and blend atmospheric melodies with rolling basslines, creating a transcendent and immersive experience for his listeners that is both introspective and uplifting. Ben Böhmer’s music and live performances have earned him widespread acclaim from fans and tastemakers alike. In 2023, he completed the biggest-ever North American live touring run while reaching 4 million monthly Spotify listeners and has now surpassed 1 billion streams. Additionally, his Cercle set, where Ben Böhmer performed live from a hot air balloon flying over Cappadocia in Turkey, has become one of the most-viewed live electronic sets on YouTube, with over 34 million views. His newest album, “Bloom,” an 11-track LP released in September earlier this year, is a confident reassertion of his improvisational skills and has brought his passion for songwriting and composing to the foreground. With each track blooming into something unique, featuring ethereal melodies, intricate synths, and driving rhythms, “Bloom” effortlessly captures the essence of personal growth, overcoming hardship, and emerging into power and enlightenment. The collaborations on “Bloom” also bring a unique richness and variety to the album. Tracks such as ‘Hiding’ , featuring Lykke Li, and ‘Beautiful’, featuring Malou, highlight Ben Böhmer’s ability to blend poignant vocals with his lush production style. ‘Evermore’ ,with Enfant Sauvage and ‘The Sun’ featuring Oh Wonder further diversify the album and add distinct textures and atmospheres that enhance the emotional narrative. In our modern world that demands immediacy, music creation, consumption, and value have been heavily influenced. The pursuit of short-lived trends has led many producers to prioritize quick outputs, often resulting in music that lacks depth, nuance, and emotional resonance. Ben Böhmer’s “Bloom” stands in stark contrast to this trend—crafted with care, each track is rich with intricate melodies, emotional depth, and a genuine sense of storytelling, offering a timeless experience that transcends the fleeting nature of today’s music landscape. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to Ben Böhmer’s music, “Bloom” promises to be the soundtrack that resonates with your emotions and leaves you inspired. Dive in, and let the music take you somewhere beautiful. And when you’re ready to experience the magic of Ben Böhmer live, you’ll find his tour dates by clicking here.
  19. Every October, the world converges on Amsterdam for a week of electronic music magic. 20. Evan de Novellis has once more done it! Following mesmerizing us with “Mirage,” he returns on Sinners with his newest song, “Save Me.” Having been a long-time melodic techno enthusiast, I find this release excites me the most. De Novellis brings his A-game to this passionate melodic voyage. He has been generating waves with recent compositions on Einmusika and Akumandra. ‘Save Me‘ strikes that careful mix that keeps you both introspective and active, perfectly blending melancholy with enthusiasm. The dynamic tension in the tune definitely grabs my attention. While the mesmerizing melodies soar above to evoke urgency and need, the powerful rhythms give a strong basis. Mirroring the title of the single, the music itself seems to be screaming to be heard. Listening to ‘Save Me,’ I’m reminded of the first reason I became drawn to electronic music. It’s the capacity to express difficult feelings without words and to let sound alone help you feel understood. De Novellis has hit upon something quite unique here. I especially advise listening to “Save Me” if you enjoy melodic techno or want something uplifting on the dance floor. Definitely an artist worth seeing, Evan de Novellis excites me about what he creates next. The post New Release: Evan de Novellis – ‘Save Me’ on Sinners appeared first on The Groove Cartel.

  24. A decade ago, on October 5, 2014, Swedish duo Galantis released what would become one of the most iconic tracks in EDM history—“Runaway (U & I)”. It quickly became a global hit. Now, 10 years later, the track continues to dominate streaming platforms, boasting over 1 billion streams to date. Galantis have always been celebrated for their ability to merge the emotionality of pop with the adrenaline of dance music. Their collaboration started in Stockholm’s Robotberget Studio, and what began as a meeting of creative minds evolved into a partnership that would produce hit after hit. The song’s incredible combination of lyrics and sound embodies the vision of bridging the gap between EDM and pop. It remains a staple in DJ sets around the world, proving that it’s a timeless piece of art that fans will always love. As we celebrate 10 years of “Runaway (U & I),” Galantis’ legacy in EDM is undeniable. Their creativity and innovation continue to inspire the next generation of artists, ensuring that this anthem will keep running on the airwaves for years to come. Happy 10th anniversary, “Runaway (U & I)”—here’s to a track that will never stop making us dance!
  25. CRSSD Fest returned to San Diego’s Waterfront Park for its Fall 2024 edition, once again proving why it’s a staple for house and techno fans. Despite being packed, as most CRSSD events are, the festival’s attention to detail and flawless production helped elevate the experience for everyone in attendance. From incredible performances to thoughtful amenities, CRSSD Fest showed us why it continues to be one of the top electronic music festivals on the West Coast. Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Felicia Garcia — @fixationphotography Unforgettable Sets from Iconic Artists Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Miguel Flores — @miguelmonad The music, of course, was the centerpiece of CRSSD Fall 2024. Gesaffelstein was a master of mystery and intensity, delivering one of the most captivating sets of the weekend. Additionally, his dark techno, paired with moody visuals, transformed the Oceanview stage into an enigmatic sonic journey that had the entire crowd hypnotized. Klangkuenstler also brought relentless techno energy to the City Steps stage, proving why he’s a fan favorite with his high-octane beats and flawless transitions. Hi-Lo, and Boris Brechja also brought their signature sounds to their respective stages, proving once more why they are forces to be reckoned with. Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Nicole Busch — @nicolebusch Nora En Pure stepped up to fill in for TOKiMONSTA and delivered a longer, unforgettable set. Her melodic deep house perfectly matched the festival’s vibe, guiding the crowd through sunset with a groove-filled performance that left everyone glowing. Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Felicia Garcia — @fixationphotography Festival Favorites Meanwhile, Idris Elba put on one of the weekend’s best sets, showcasing his impeccable crowd control at The Palms stage. Furthermore, his ability to seamlessly move between commercial house bangers and deeper, underground sounds kept the crowd engaged from start to finish. Having caught a more intimate, underground set of his at Oxford House in San Diego, it was clear he has mastered multiple styles, playing to both massive festival crowds and smaller, more discerning audiences. Both of these sets were two of my favorites from the weekend. His festival set took the crown if only for the added energy he brought. To say the man is talented is an understatement. BLOND:ISH took a different approach. Her festival set leaned heavily into Afrohouse rhythms, creating an infectious, dance-heavy atmosphere. However, her after-party set at The Rail was an entirely different journey. Afrohouse was still the core, but she mixed in underground beats that took listeners on a deeper, more explorative ride, blending diverse sounds and creating moments of surprise. Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Miguel Flores — @miguelmonad Production & Vibes On Point While CRSSD can get crowded, the festival organizers made sure the logistics were on point. The abundance of restrooms—particularly the standing urinal area—meant shorter lines, allowing fans to get back to the music faster. Additionally, though it would be nice to see upgraded restrooms like other festivals, CRSSD’s decision to forgo VIP areas and keep all attendees on an equal footing is one of its most appealing aspects. Everyone is there for the same reason: to dance and enjoy the music. Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Keiki Lani-Knudsen — @imkeiki Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Keiki Lani-Knudsen — @imkeiki Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Keiki Lani-Knudsen — @imkeiki The stage production was also a highlight this year. Soulwax, Tinlicker, and Disclosure all took full advantage of the dazzling visuals on the Oceanview stage. In the process creating a sensory experience that matched the vibe of their performances. BICEP delivered their stunning Chroma AV set, combining their unique sound with captivating visuals to create an immersive audiovisual journey. Gorgon City, meanwhile, brought the heat to The Palms stage with their infectious house beats. They kept the energy high as they showcased the sounds of their latest albums ‘Reverie’, and ‘Salvation’. Afrohouse & The After-Party Magic No festival weekend is complete without a proper after-party. BLOND:ISH’s set at The Rail with Desiree was a spiritual experience. The tight, packed venue turned into a sweaty, jungle-themed dance haven where Afrohouse sounds flowed seamlessly. Despite the close quarters, the energy was so positive that I left the party feeling uplifted, happy, and fully satisfied. This is a stark contrast compared to the frustration that usually accompanies such a crowded space. Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Miguel Flores — @miguelmonad Looking Ahead to Proper NYE Adam Beyer didn’t close out the festival but delivered a prime-time set at City Steps around 6:15. In the process, he stayed true to his signature techno sound. His powerful, no-nonsense approach had the crowd fully immersed in the moment. As the final beats of the weekend echoed through the park, it became clear that CRSSD Fest continues to deliver unforgettable experiences. The anticipation for Proper NYE at Petco Park is already building. Lastly, if this weekend was any indicator, we’re in for another round of unmissable performances to ring in the new year. In conclusion, see you in December! Courtesy of CRSSD Festival // Keiki Lani-Knudsen — @imkeikiThe post CRSSD Fall 2024: A Weekend of Unmatched Performances appeared first on EDMTunes.
