[EDMTunes] Fyre Festival 2 Tickets Go On Sale – Including $1 Million Package
Billy McFarland is officially back (for now). After multiple lawsuits, a prison sentence, and two documentaries, the disgraced founder is ready for Fyre Festival round 2. Surely he couldn’t screw it up twice, right? The revived festival is set to take place from May 30 to June 2 on Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Billy had this to say: “Fyre 2 is real. My dream is finally becoming a reality…Fyre 2 really isn’t about the past, and it’s not really about me. “ Citing new management of the company, McFarland insists that this time will be different. While no artists have been confirmed, he claims he expects to book A-list performers in the coming months. We have heard this story before. He plans to have artists across “electronic, hip-hop, pop, and rock.” However, it will not all be about music. He plans “to have a professional skateboarder do a demonstration. We might have an MMA champion teach you techniques in the morning.” This year’s festival will be capped at 2,000 attendees. McFarland is stepping away from operational responsibilities this time, handing them over to “a major festival operator.” Ticket Tiers Tickets for Fyre 2 are now on sale, ranging from $1,400 to $1.1 million, depending on the package. Here’s what each tier includes: “Ignite” ($1,400 per ticket): General admission includes access to the festival grounds and Water Stage, and transportation to and from designated hotels and other gathering points. Hotel accommodations are not included. “Fuego” VIP ($5,000 per ticket): VIP access to festival grounds, front-row viewing of the Water Stage, and close-up access to the Fight Pit. Hotel accommodations are not included. “Phoenix” ($25,000 per ticket): Includes luxury accommodations for two for three nights, backstage access to the Water Stage and Fight Pit, a curated itinerary of “Fyre Experiences,” weekend transportation, Fyre concierge access and private ground transport to and from Cancún airport. “Prometheus” ($1.1 million package): A luxury package that includes complete onstage access, a curated itinerary, a 24/7 private chauffeur and the option of a private four-stateroom yacht or a four-bedroom villa near the festival grounds for three nights. Tickets can be found here – it is kind of comical how long it takes the website to load. Before buying please consider this quote “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” The post Fyre Festival 2 Tickets Go On Sale – Including $1 Million Package appeared first on EDMTunes.

[EDM.com] The DJs Who Helped Shape the 2025 Skyline Festival in Los Angeles
Surrounded by towering skyscrapers on all sides, Los Angeles' Skyline Festival lived up to its name by engulfing the streets of downtown with the hard-hitting beats of techno and house music. The Insomniac Events production absorbed three city blocks for two days of dance music utopia. Using the elegant city hall tower as its anchor, the festival went with a more minimalistic approach in design in 2025, utilizing all of the amenities Grand Park offered. Jamal Eid The three stages within the festival grounds all followed through with that modest method, each revealing monolithic industrial aesthetics paired with dark lighting packages. This allowed for a more underground feel to the event, immersing attendees in the true gritty nature of electronica. Speaking of which, the artists who helped produce the soundtrack of the weekend included a blend of local up-and-comers to highly regarded artists within the industry. [EDM House Network] This was: A State of Trance 2025
A State of Trance (ASOT) returned to Rotterdam Ahoy on February 21-22, 2025, for another unforgettable weekend celebrating the best in trance and electronic music. The two-day festival brought together over 40,000 passionate fans worldwide, showcasing an impressive variety of trance subgenres across five uniquely designed stages. As my third ASOT experience and second time at Rotterdam Ahoy, I was eager to see how this year’s edition would unfold. Friday kicked off with two areas open until 1 AM, while Saturday expanded to the full five-stage experience, keeping the energy flowing until 6 AM. Venue Rotterdam Ahoy proved once again why it’s the perfect home for ASOT. The venue’s layout was thoughtfully organized, making navigation between stages effortless even during peak hours. Clear signage directed attendees to each area, eliminating confusion that often plagues large-scale events. The sound quality was exceptional throughout, with each stage featuring finely tuned audio systems that delivered crystal-clear highs and powerful bass without distortion. One particularly welcome feature was the abundance of seating areas strategically placed around the venue, offering welcome respite between dance sessions. The spacious corridors prevented bottlenecks (an upgrade from last year!), while the overall flow of the venue created a seamless experience from entrance to exit. Compared to other large electronic music festivals, ASOT at Rotterdam Ahoy sets the gold standard for logistical excellence and attendee comfort. Food & Drinks ASOT 2025 stepped up its culinary game with a diverse range of options catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. The food court offered substantial meals including original Philly cheesesteaks (€11) with special versions ranging from €11-14, and importantly, vegan alternatives were available. Other options included loaded nachos (€9.50), fries (€5.95), smoothies (€6.95), bananas (€2.50), and döner kebab (€12) with vegan options as well. The beverage selection was equally impressive, with medium beers priced at €4 and large beers at €7.50. Other options included Desperados and hard seltzers (€6.50 each), water (€5), Pepsi/Pepsi Max and 7-Up (€3.85), iced tea and energy drinks (€5.50), wine (€5.50), and cocktails ranging from €10.50 to €11.50. The cashless payment system was efficient and convenient – card payments were accepted directly, eliminating the need for tokens. For those with cash, special cards could be loaded with funds at designated stations, streamlining the purchasing process. Stages ASOT showcased five distinctly designed stages, each with its own personality and atmosphere. Area One, the mainstage, was truly larger than life, featuring balconies on each side and a VIP section at the back offering exclusive views behind the DJ booth. The room’s grandeur was enhanced by towering LED screens and spectacular pyrotechnics that perfectly complemented the high-energy performances. Area Two made a bold statement with its massive LED tower resembling a skyscraper at the center, surrounded by crossing laser beams that created geometric patterns throughout the space. The industrial lighting and raw energy of this area perfectly suited the deeper, more intense sets performed there. Area Three occupied the space where Area Four was positioned last year, centrally located near the food court. Its multi-level built structure created interesting perspectives from which to experience the music. Area Four offered a more intimate setting featuring an impressive LED light installation spanning the entire ceiling, creating an immersive canopy of light. Perhaps the most talked-about was Area Five, designed as an illuminated tunnel with strings of lights creating an otherworldly atmosphere. As visitors entered this space, they were surrounded by LED panels that pulsed in sync with the music, creating what felt like a portal to another dimension. This area quickly became a fan favorite, with many returning throughout Saturday night just to experience its unique ambiance. What made ASOT 2025 truly special was how each stage offered a completely different vibe while maintaining perfect sound quality and expertly executed lighting designs. Adding to the global nature of the event, Areas One and Two were live-streamed on ASOT.tv, allowing fans worldwide to join the experience virtually. Music Now let’s dive in to the line up. The music at ASOT 2025 perfectly demonstrated the evolving nature of trance music while honoring its roots. A notable highlight was the collaboration between ARTBAT and Armin van Buuren, delivering a high-energy set that blended danceable house vibes with trance elements. Their performance included crowd-pleasers like Bigfett’s “Takatum,” Charlotte de Witte’s remix of “Age of Love,” Meduza’s “Friends” (Artbat Remix), and singalong favorites like Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition” and Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know.” Ferry Corsten once again proved his versatility and consistency, surprising fans with an eclectic set that included his track “Yes Man,” alongside Flowjob’s “Fall from Space,” Brainchild’s “Symmetry C,” and Neutron’s “Poly.” One of the weekend’s most anticipated performances was Armin van Buuren’s face-to-face set with Maddix. In my 17+ years of attending electronic music events, this unique format created an unforgettable experience as the two artists traded tracks and energy back and forth. Highlights included “Computers Take Over the World” (Maddix remix), T-78 & Roberto Molinaro’s “Bombacid,” and even Showtek’s hardstyle classic “FTS.” The crowd went wild when they premiered their new collaboration “Mouth Go La La,” and sang along passionately to “Lose This Feeling.” Another boundary-pushing performance came from Armin van Buuren and Adam Beyer’s back-to-back set, which seamlessly blended trance and techno, demonstrating Armin’s versatility as not just the king of trance but a global leader in the dance music scene. Their set featured tracks like “Mr Navigator” and “Come with Me,” captivating the audience with their genre-defying selections. My personal favorite set of the weekend came from Rocketman, whose fusion of psytrance and hard techno delivered incredible energy. His performance included “4am in the Rave,” “Piano Concerto No. #1,” his track “Una Hora Mas,” “Da Hard House Shit,” and my current favorite, “90s Bitch.” Atmosphere & Overall Impressions The atmosphere at ASOT was electric from start to finish. The passionate crowd, comprised of trance lovers from across the globe, created a sense of unity that elevated the entire experience. The production values were exceptional, with state-of-the-art sound systems and lighting rigs that transformed each area into its own universe. While the event was impressively organized, there were moments when certain areas became somewhat crowded, particularly during headline performances. However, the thoughtful layout of the venue made it easy to navigate even during these peak times. My only minor disappointment was the reduced representation of psytrance compared to last year’s edition. Overall, A State of Trance 2025 successfully built upon its legacy while pushing boundaries with innovative stage designs and bold line up choices. The event solidified its reputation as the premier trance gathering worldwide, bringing together diverse subgenres and creating memorable moments that will sustain fans until next year’s edition. For trance enthusiasts, ASOT remains an essential pilgrimage that continues to elevate the genre while honoring its rich history.

[EDM.com] DJ Collapses Onto Decks at Berghain, But Rallies to Finish Performance
At Berlin's legendary Berghain, where the music is relentless and the energy unyielding, even a moment of stillness feels surreal. That rare silence came last weekend when Danish DJ and producer Kasper Marott fainted mid-performance, falling onto the mixer and briefly bringing one of the world’s most revered dancefloors to a halt. Marott was in the midst of delivering a high-intensity set at Berghain when he suddenly collapsed behind the venue's DJ decks. The incident momentarily stunned the crowd, a rare pause in the club’s famously endless techno marathon. "I caused quite a scene by fainting and falling onto the mixer during my set at Berghain, which brought the music to a sudden stop," Marott wrote in a social media post, reassuring fans that he had recovered. "I walked away with a new scar, but thankfully, I’m feeling better today." Housed in a towering former power plant in Berlin’s Friedrichshain district, Berghain has long held a mythical status in club culture. A temple to techno, it has hosted some of the biggest names in the genre, from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann to Sven Väth and Nina Kraviz. With its notoriously selective door policy, no-camera rule and marathon DJ sets, the club fosters an atmosphere where time dissolves—until, of course, something unexpected forces a break in the rhythm. Despite the scare, the night wasn’t over for Marott. "Huge thanks to the incredible staff for handling everything so professionally, helping me get back on my feet to finish what I started," added. [EDMTunes] Legendary Ibiza Viewpoint Access Blocked Amid Overtourism Concerns
Access to Ibiza’s iconic Es Vedrà viewpoints has been restricted as local residents and landowners respond to the overwhelming surge of tourists. The picturesque vistas of the Es Vedrà rock formation, particularly from areas like Cap Blanc and Torre des Savinar, have long attracted visitors seeking breathtaking views and memorable sunsets. However, the influx has led to significant challenges, prompting decisive action from the community. Residents in the Cala d’Hort de Sant Josep region have taken measures to block unofficial parking areas by placing large rocks and have restricted pedestrian access to popular viewpoints and the nearby Savinar tower. This initiative aims to address issues arising from excessive tourist traffic, including environmental degradation and safety concerns. The unregulated influx has resulted in unauthorized activities such as impromptu DJ performances, wedding celebrations, and commercial promotions, further straining the delicate ecosystem. The environmental impact is evident, with the natural surroundings of Es Vedrà suffering from littering and unauthorized activities. Despite efforts by local authorities to manage the situation through increased patrols and stricter parking regulations, enforcement remains a challenge. The fragile ecosystem continues to be compromised, highlighting the need for more robust measures to protect this natural haven. In June 2024, American DJ Diplo allegedly hosted an unlicensed party at the Cala d’Hort viewpoint overlooking Es Vedrà, a protected site in Ibiza. The event, promoted via social media, attracted hundreds of attendees and led to significant backlash from the local community. Residents expressed their discontent, emphasizing the need to respect Ibiza’s natural sites. The local community stresses that these measures are not intended to deter visitors but to prompt authorities to implement proper regulations. Residents advocate for the creation of regulated parking, protected pathways, and official viewpoints equipped with necessary facilities to ensure both the preservation of Es Vedrà’s natural beauty and the safety of its visitors. In the interim, visitors are encouraged to respect local guidelines, seek alternative authorized viewpoints, and practice responsible tourism to help preserve the beauty and mystique of Es Vedrà for future generations. Engaging with local communities and supporting initiatives aimed at environmental conservation can contribute to a more sustainable tourism model. [GrooveCartel] STROBÖ is Fatima Hajji’s Luminous Revolution in Techno Culture
DJ and producer Fatima Hajji launches STROBÖ, a groundbreaking label that goes beyond the usual limits of electronic music. “The connection between people coming together to celebrate and enjoy music and having the chance to connect with many others in such a unique and intense way is something that deserves to be showcased,” Hajji says. Her words have the same raw authenticity that has defined her career for decades. Her goal is to break down the underground’s historical veil of secrecy and joyfully show off the transformative community that techno makes possible. The connection between individuals, coming together to celebrate and enjoy music, and having the opportunity to connect with many others in such a special and intense way is something that deserves to be showcased—something worth sharing and, without a doubt, a source of pride to spread so that more people can discover it and have the chance to join. This is why the idea arises to create a new platform that merges music releases with lighting and visual concepts, enhancing the immersive experience and making what we do more visible—moving away from the stigma of secrecy. We know that what we do is good, brings happiness to many people, and ultimately benefits society. A place where anyone with good vibes can be a part of this, with no exclusions or requirements beyond positive energy. – Fatima Hajji A Revolution in More Than One Sensation STROBÖ is different from many other electronic music labels because it focuses on the synaesthetic experience. The label says it will release cutting-edge music along with new lighting ideas and visual frameworks, making immersive trips and involving all the senses. Techno at its most powerful is not just heard; it is also felt, seen, and experienced as a group. This all-encompassing method recognizes what dedicated dance floor followers have always known. The first release on the label is a hypnotic, constantly driving techno track by Hajji herself, which is called “Strobo.” The track, which came out on February 21, 2025, represents STROBÖ’s mission with its heavy rhythms and mind-altering sounds that are strongly rooted in hard techno’s unwavering energy. Like the strobing lights that gave the label its name, the track has moments of intense clarity followed by confusing darkness. It’s a great metaphor for the transcendent experiences that can be found on techno’s most dedicated dance floors. [Electric-Mode] Drum and Bass Artist Yellock Unveils His Thought-Provoking New Album Post Virtual Humanism
Groundbreaking Drum & Bass artist Yellock is set to release his highly anticipated new album, Post Virtual Humanism, on February 14th, 2025. The album explores the chaos and humanity of the AI era and the digital age, blending hard-hitting beats with live instruments like guitar, piano, and vocals. This unique sound reflects Yellock’s desire to push the boundaries of electronic music while still maintaining its core essence. Post Virtual Humanism continues the themes from his previous works, such as Virtual Human Being and The Edges Between The Line, which explored digitalisation and the divide between the online and offline worlds. This album moves beyond those explorations to confront the personal human experience of loss, particularly the passing of Yellock’s parents, while reflecting the growing presence of AI in our everyday lives. “I wanted to create something that resonates with people, not just in terms of dance floor energy but with an emotional and musical depth,” said Yellock. Post Virtual Humanism is designed to be both a dynamic, danceable album and one that harmonizes effortlessly with live instrumentation. The result is a collection of songs that carry not only club-ready beats but also personal stories and reflections on the rapidly changing world. The creation of the album was an intricate process. Some tracks were inspired by specific themes, while others were born from Yellock’s experiences as a DJ. “When I was working on the track Make Your Move, I test-played it as a prototype, and a mosh pit broke out on the dance floor. It sparked a debate on Twitter about whether mosh pits were acceptable in drum and bass. That led me to add aggressive vocal shouts to the track that weren’t originally planned,” explained Yellock. This kind of audience interaction has been vital to his creative process, with regular online streaming and live DJ performances serving as inspiration for new material. The album also features collaborations with talented artists like Maozon, a highly respected producer in Japan, and Glasscat, a vocalist with exceptional vocal range and an intuitive understanding of Yellock’s complex themes. These collaborations add a distinct dimension to the album, enhancing both its musical depth and its emotional weight. Throughout his career, Yellock has focused on maintaining originality, producing work that resists the homogenized sounds of mass consumption. The artist continues to prioritize individuality, drawing from his personal experiences, his roots in hard rock, and the rawness of live instruments to shape his sound. Yellock’s audience often comments on the melancholic and introspective nature of his music. Whether they’re considered niche or pop, Yellock’s music finds its home in the hearts of listeners who connect deeply with his authentic sound and message. Despite the pressures of social media and streaming metrics, Yellock remains focused on creating pure, unfiltered art. As a well-respected DJ and producer, Yellock’s performances at major festivals like Ultra Music Festival Japan and prestigious events organized by the Japanese Digital Agency have earned him a prominent spot in the global dance music scene. But his greatest reward comes from knowing his music has the power to touch lives. Yellock is one of the most exciting new names in Drum & Bass, hailing from Tokyo, Japan. With releases from Viper, SONY, and more, he has quickly emerged as a leader in the Tokyo dance music scene. As a producer with a deep interest in technological innovation, Yellock is known for creating unique musical experiences, including his groundbreaking virtual human live and XR virtual online streaming performances. He continues to push boundaries while staying true to his musical roots and the personal experiences that shape his art. [Electric-Mode] Ministry of Sound embraces ‘Sober Curious’ era with launch of alcohol-free raves alongside DRIIA & Skepsis
This summer, Ministry of Sound is launching a brand new sober rave series, catering to a new generation of sober and sober-curious ravers. The inaugural event is set to take place May 11th and will run quarterly through to November, with DRIIA heading up the day parties and Skepsis taking it into the night. Having hosted the likes of Ecstatic Disco and Dry Disco at the iconic club in the past, the launch of 2025’s sober series marks the first in-house brand to embrace alcohol-free ravers and a step in a new direction for nightlife in the city. Leading the march is DRIIA, inspired by her relationship with sober raving. With an ethereal sound blending elements of UKG, Jungle, and Breaks, the young talent is a rising star in her own right, having been named Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 Future Star last year. The London-based artist, supported by genre favourites including Main Phase, Turno, and Jaguar, aims to spark conversations about sober raving in underground scenes. Accompanying the new initiative is an exclusively made mocktail menu available in the new guest area and a range of No and Low-alcohol drinks across the venue from February.. Laura Andrijauskaitė, the club’s bar manager expertly curated the exclusive menu after meticulous research, taste testing, and her own experience with a sober lifestyle to include low, no alcohol beer, mushroom, and CBD drinks from brands such as LUCKY SAINT, Trip, and REAL.co. Nightlife is evolving and Ministry of Sound is leading the way with this new range and party initiative. No hangovers. No regrets.
