Techno Titans on Yuma 2025 lineup Belgian dynamo Amelie Lens is leading the fight; her explosive climb from underground favorite to global techno ambassador is just amazing. Known for her mesmerizing, high-energy shows and heading the powerful EXHALE label, Lens’s presence signals the Yuma Tent’s dedication to real, uncompromising techno. Spanish superstar Indira Paganotto joins the lineup. She brings her own mix of acid-tinged techno and trance influences. Thanks to her recent releases on Nina Kraviz’s Tpikney label and spectacular appearances at big European events, she is among the most fascinating emerging voices in techno. Brazil phenomena Vintage Culture dominates the house music scene, having developed from South American club favorite to worldwide sensation. His unique combination of melodic techno and progressive house has won him a devoted audience and many chart top hits. Through performers like AMÉMÉ, whose African-influenced works have given the genre new vitality, the roster highlights the variety within house music. Coco & Breezy show the ongoing cross-pollination between fashion, culture, and electronic music while also having effectively moved from making eyeglasses for Prince to commanding dancefloors all around. Dutch pair Tinlicker and Moon Boots provides a perfect counterweight to the harder-edged performers for those looking for more emotional, melodic sounds. The roster also highlights a lot of underground scene acts creating waves. While Klangkuenstler‘s raw, explosive techno has established him a darling in European clubs, Chris Stussy’s deep, groove-laden house has gained him growing respect. Inside the Fantastical Storyline of VEIL's Hair-Raising Debut Album, " HIGH VOLTAGE"
VEIL is taking experimental bass music to another level with her debut album, HIGH VOLTAGE, a delightfully disorienting exploration of new sounds and frequencies. The album comes with a meticulous storyline, which is brought to life by its central character, AZAL. Each track takes us deeper into her journey through what VEIL calls "THE HOLLOW," a space where time and reality are bent according to AZAL's will. Beyond the music, VEIL worked alongside 5/9 and Towr Media to translate AZAL’s "voyage" into an entrancing audiovisual show, which she presented at Rezz Rocks VI back in August. View the original article to see embedded media. That voyage kicks off with "RESPAWN," where experimental bass opens a portal that sends you directly to THE HOLLOW with AZAL. "YU" follows, plunging us deep into the universe with our central character through distorted bass that sounds off with the urgency of sirens. Ensuing tracks "MOVE FAST AND BREAK THINGS" (with HerShe) and "BACK BACK" convey AZAL taking THE HOLLOW by storm as emphatic, stomping beats and commanding bass signal a sort of power within the realm that she can use to her advantage. "00:00" then indicates a sharp pivot into hypnotically fluid drum & bass territory. Though relatively gentle, the track maintains an ominous nature, warning us not to settle into the bucket of any one genre. Though seemingly a respite from the chaos, "5.9 [INTERLUDE]" represents "a malware code that infects the system in THE HOLLOW," according to VEIL. It also doubles as a tribute to the graphic team at 5/9, who helped her formulate the album's audiovisual experience. "OMEGA" (with Digital Vagabond) and "EVENT HORIZON" then slowly reintroduce THE HOLLOW, their downtempo beats cultivating a newfound explorative caution that stands out against the album's unabashed fervor. Following re-entry to the realm, "ALL OF EVERYTHING FOR FOREVER" sees a hair-raising voice asking, "Did I create this?" before VEIL uncorks a warped drop. The uptempo "OVERLOAD" follows suit and signals a transformation of THE HOLLOW, which was precipitated by the virus introduced by the album's interlude. It seems, at the end of the journey, that the unfortunate "malware" was an essential ingredient to the album's success. "HIGH VOLTAGE is about embracing creativity without restrictions," VEIL explained. "I wanted each track to represent a different side of my production style and my love for multi-genre experiences, while staying true to the energy and emotion behind the concept of AZAL’s journey. She is traversing a space where she bends reality, and the album’s sound reflects that feeling." Listen to HIGH VOLTAGE below and find the new album on streaming platforms here. Eliminate Hacks Into New Territory With Stunning Successor to Debut Album, "Get Off The Internet"
If Eliminate's debut album Get Off The Internet was a wild first step into uncharted territory, his latest offering is a masterful sprint through the very frontier he helped define. With his latest album, 404: Get Off The Internet [Redux], the EDM.com Class of 2021 star transforms the vibrant chaos of its predecessor into a refined, imaginative project that captivates and thrills in equal measure. It hasn't yet been a full year since the release of his original album, but as if booting up a forgotten machine, "404 (Intro)" revs to life with evocative soundscapes. Here, nostalgia seeps through layers of cinematic production, punctuated by the mechanical whirring of a dial-up tone. Turning the intensity up a few notches, it morphs seamlessly into "Thought Experiment," a track that bursts to life with rapid-fire trap synths. The pulse of the album beats particularly strong in "I'M ALREADY A WASTE (Poison Oak)," a bold standout. The track bridges eras as its upbeat drum & bass cadence races alongside pop-punk vocals that drip with youthful yearning. Eliminate balances nostalgia and innovation with precision, producing a cut that feels familiar while embracing his characteristically otherworldly tones and forward-thinking production tactics. As the album delves deeper, "TWISTED (MOREPWR)" casts a spell of dark allure as acid-tinged arpeggios coil like smoke around a techno beat that radiates with intensity. The track paints a stark, industrial landscape where every flicker of light is met with encroaching shadows. As the project's closer "ESCAPE (Get Off The Internet)" comes to form, it brings with it an ethereal ascent. Shimmering synths ripple across a euphoric arrangement, evoking a sense of freedom and wonder that’s almost gamified in its triumphant beauty. It’s a moment of catharsis, a chance to exhale and reflect on one of the most innovative albums in electronic music this year. Listen to 404: Get Off The Internet [Redux] below. Nicky Romero, Timmy Trumpet and GESES Break Convention in New Single, "Here We Go Again"
Great collaborations often emerge when artists are willing to challenge their creative instincts and venture into unfamiliar territory. With Nicky Romero, Timmy Trumpet and GESES joining forces, "Here We Go Again" isn’t simply another addition to the dance music canon, but a testament to what happens when a trifecta of creative talents blend their distinct musical identities into a seamless whole. Out now via Romero's Protocol Recordings, the track marks a uniquely bold departure for each artist. Known for his progressive and electro house mastery, the Dutch producer ventures into the brooding allure of techno with a finesse that feels organic. Trumpet, whose reputation thrives on the intense, high-octane world of hard dance, dials up his melodic sensibilities to craft an infectious and euphoric energy while GESES fearlessly steps into the spotlight alongside these industry titans, proving his prowess through contributions brimming with conviction. The track radiates an irresistible vibrancy, echoing the chaotic, exhilarating rhythms of nightlife itself. Lyrics brimming with escapism and reckless abandon paint a vivid picture of losing yourself in the club's whirlwind, spinning with no thought of where the night might end. By balancing hard dance's intensity with melodic accessibility, "Here We Go Again" embodies a sound primed to make waves beyond its techno origins. While the visceral power of hard dance can sometimes feel polarizing, this polished iteration is primed for wider appeal—especially among U.S. audiences increasingly interested in dance music's underground roots. i_o's Timeless Vision In "Castles In The Sky" Resonates Four Years After His Death
Four years ago today, the world lost i_o, the enigmatic techno visionary whose music felt like whispers from the future. The last song he released before his tragic death was "Castles In The Sky," a radiant reimagination of Ian Van Dahl's trance classic of the same name. With its propulsive kick drums, cascading synths and poignant lyrics, the track encapsulates i_o's rare ability to honor the past while pushing electronic music into bold, uncharted territory. i_o's rendition takes the shimmering, euphoric tone of the original and grounds it in his signature style: futuristic and deeply emotive. The lyrics, steeped in metaphor, evoke a longing for something untouchable, a dream seemingly just out of reach. Though "Castles In The Sky" is a cover, it's anything but derivative. The late producer approached it with reverence for its trance roots while giving it a modern edge. And by transforming the turn-of the-century track, i_o bridged generational tastes in electronic music with striking finesse. View the original article to see embedded media. Looking back, i_o’s broader work feels similarly prophetic. Melodic techno music now reigns supreme in the global dance market, and it’s easy to imagine i_o standing at the forefront of the movement. Tracks like "Castles In The Sky" prove that he wasn’t just an artist of his time—he was an artist ahead of it, crafting music that resonates as deeply today as it did when it first graced our ears. Four years later, it still feels like a call to lose yourself in the moment and dream of worlds beyond the clouds. Revisit the official music video for "Castles In The Sky" below and stream the track here.

Bass Music’s New Nightmare: AVANCE’s ‘I Saw The Screen Bleed
AVANCE’s “I Saw The Screen Bleed” lands like a love letter to horror’s golden age, written in thunderous bass and razor-sharp sound design. The Australian producer’s latest full-length transforms classic horror film tension into modern dubstep architecture, with each track building its own distinct atmosphere of dread. Drawing from his deep study of film composers, AVANCE crafts a sonic palette that would make John Carpenter proud: serrated basslines slice through haunting atmospherics while calculated drops land with cinematic precision. While his contemporaries chase fleeting trends, he’s constructed something more permanent – a proper horror soundtrack for the bass music generation. Between his adrenaline-soaked live shows and this album’s meticulous production, AVANCE continues to push dubstep into darker, more theatrical territory. “I Saw The Screen Bleed” doesn’t just sample horror’s playbook – it adds new chapters to it, proving that sometimes the heaviest moments come right before the drop. Matroda’s ‘Late Night Talks’ EP: Tech House’s New Blueprint
The yearly Matroda EP drop has become dance music’s most reliable dopamine hit. On “Late Night Talks,” the Croatian tech house architect doesn’t just meet expectations – he demolishes them with seven weapons-grade club tools, including three previously unheard bangers. The collection plays like a perfectly programmed club night. “Britney” (with Dances) and the Martin Ikin collab “4U” (already a Beatport #1) set the tone with festival-tested muscle. The new additions prove equally lethal: “Came To The Club” delivers understated groove, “Down” serves retro house realness, and “Naughty Sax” injects Latin brass into the tech house template. It’s fitting that a producer who cut his teeth on Led Zeppelin and Sinatra before dominating EDC Vegas and Ushuaia Ibiza would drop something this versatile. Between “When The Bass Kicks In” with its seductive vocal work and “Hangin’ On” straddling radio and rave appeal, Matroda’s proving why the “matrodasound” has everyone from Diplo to DJ Snake paying attention. “Late Night Talks” isn’t just another tech house EP – it’s a masterclass in club construction. Step Into the Psychological Battlegrounds of InteliDey's New Techno Track, "Ignite (Chaos)"
InteliDey is back with "Ignite (Chaos)," a sonic nightmare that crawls beneath your skin with eerie techno beats. The UK electronic music producer, who is also an award-winning tech entrepreneur, lecturer and TEDx speaker, stuns with a propulsive yet haunting banger that feels both mechanical and viscerally alive. A guttural, otherworldly voice sets the tone, slithering into focus with the line, "Reality isn't real—what you see is what you get." It's both unsettling and hypnotic, like staring into a mirror that might shatter at any moment. The track, InteliDey says, is a timely one. As the scourge of AI-generated music continues to ripple through today's artist community, he says his new single moonlights as an urgent call to "critically evaluate the content they consume." "In an age where generative AI is often used to create social media and news content, understanding what is real and what is fabricated is crucial to avoid confusion and misinformation," InteliDey explains. "'Ignite (Chaos)' serves as a call for self-awareness, encouraging individuals to question and verify content before believing it." Listen to "Ignite (Chaos)" below. YDG Lands on HypnoVision With Wobbly Dubstep Track, "Echo"
Surging bass music producer YDG has released "Echo," a grimy showcase of his production skills. Using no shortage of bass to scratch every itch in our brains, the track alternates between haunting vocals and grating saws, both of which fittingly echo through the arrangement to breathe life into its title. With a knack for producing popular remixes like that of John Summit and Sub Focus' "Go Back" and its murph's "Down Low," YDG has been on a roll releasing original music. Earlier this month, he dropped "Lose Control" a track that found him flexing his versatility in both dubstep and drum & bass. Out now under Rezz's HypnoVizion Records banner,"Echo" follows YDG's landmark performance at EDC Orlando. The second phase of his "You + Me" tour recently kicked off and will continue into 2025. Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte Urge Fans to Stop Comparing Female DJs
In a recent joint interview at the Amsterdam Dance Event, techno superstars Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte urged fans to stop pitting female DJs against each other. Before the pair's first-ever collaborative performance, they sat down for an intimate interview in a panel at ADE, the world's preeminent electronic music summit. Amidst lighthearted anecdotes and musings about the state of today's music industry, Lens and de Witte opened up about the pitfalls of female DJs and asked fans not to compare them. "It's so emotionally, creatively draining," Lens said before noting that male artists rarely face the same issue. "Honestly, no one is ever saying, 'AIROD is better than Farrago. It's typical for female DJs. So just stop it please." After expressing her agreement, de Witte chimed in with some words of encouragement for female DJs and producers facing the proverbial jury. "We are not against each other—we are with each other," she asserted. "We are the sisterhood. We support each other." You can watch clips from Lens' and de Witte's interview below.
