  1. In a period of consistent evolution, another ground-breaker has been unveiled! The dance music ecosystem has seen innovative overhauls lately, ranging from coffee raves to DJs literally facing off each other through F2Fs across the globe. Another concept has trotted its way that is likely to make heads or ears turn. This time, it might be for a greater good for the overall audiophile. UK based Cue has announced it will no longer share set times before its club events. The greater purpose is to aim patrons to arrive at a venue for the overall experience rather than just the headline act. The schedule will be posted at the venue on the night. The simplified motto is to soak in the atmosphere and unearth new artists, rather than just being there for the biggest name on the roster. As aptly put across by the team: ‘ Come for the vibes — not just the headliner’. The set times could be found printed and posted throughout the venue on arrival. The consolidated outcome might be a significant approach for attendees to be more open to the complete roster for the night, like it should actually be. The approach might also fan the paradigm shift from the conventional trend for quite sometime now. A trend that is mostly centered around a headliner-motivated or social media frenzy event attendance. Might just be at the right time before the true music patron could have been gradually outnumbered in an event or club. 2. In a city known for innovating everything from sourdough to smartphones, San Francisco's IllUM Block Party is once again poised to disrupt the city's Independence Day celebrations with its return to The Midway on July 5th. The event, whose name cleverly abbreviates "Illuminate," promises to deliver what many in the Bay Area crave as much as a rent-controlled apartment: a night of euphoric beats and trippy art experiences. Headliner Alan Walker will bring his signature sound to The Midway for a massive headline performance, topping a lineup that also features electronic music stars Audien and BONNIE X CLYDE. c/o The Midway Beyond the beats, IllUM transforms The Midway into an interactive wonderland that would make even jaded tech workers look up from their screens. The festival's light installations and "unexpected moments of magic" offer an alternative to the traditional fireworks displays frequently obscured by Karl the Fog. In a metropolis where connections are often mediated through apps, IllUM offers something increasingly rare in SF: authentic human connection through shared experience. As the event's organizers put it, you'll "step into the light, and emerge brighter." EDM.com has now joined forces with the organizers of IllUM Block Party for a special VIP ticket giveaway ahead of this year's event. We're giving away an exclusive VVIP experience, the winners of which will receive access to The Midway's new roof deck with a bird's eye view of the main stage, access to the VIP lounge, expedited entry and more. 3. A floating platform. A panoramic view of the Oder River. Six unreleased tracks. One hell of a mix. For their latest DUALISM² mix, PLUS2 didn’t just hit record in a club. They took their signature sound to a futuristic floating platform suspended above the Oder River in Poland, delivering an electrifying mix of melodic techno and unreleased heat. The setting looks straight out of a sci-fi film, but the music is pure, pulse-raising energy. The duo, made up of Kasper and Paweł, packed DUALISM² EP. 003 with six unreleased IDs, seamlessly woven into a set that also features tracks from MEDUZA, Max Styler, and KREAM. Their own edits of Swedish House Mafia, Alicia Keys, and Sebastian Ingrosso push the mix even further, creating a hypnotic, high-energy experience built for peak-time moments. Kasper and Paweł launched PLUS2 in 2024 and quickly gained momentum, earning support from Armin van Buuren, ALOK, and R3HAB. Their DUALISM² concept has helped them stand out, mixing club-focused music with a polished audiovisual style and this third installment is their best yet. 4. Iconic London nightlife venue Ministry of Sound is set to debut a series of "sober raves" catering to those who want to maintain their sobriety while enjoying the city's electronic music culture. Drawing inspiration from its previous partnerships with Ecstatic Disco and Dry Disco, these events were designed to give Ministry of Sound its own signature high-energy club event while ushering in a substance-free safe haven. "At Ministry of Sound, our egalitarian roots have always led to positive change," said Matt Long, Club Director at Ministry of Sound. "For the growing number of us that are 'sober curious' we know what our patrons want: more inclusive nightlife experiences. Our daytime raves and 'No and Low' alcohol range cater for a growing community, like us, who believe that clubbing should be about connection, energy and making memories whether you’re sipping a zero-proof mocktail or a low-alcohol beer." As the concept of mindful socialization becomes increasingly popular, many have sought out events that prioritize well-being over intoxication. Ministry of Sound is meeting the moment by serving low-alcohol, non-alcoholic and other wellness-themed beverages curated by the venue's bar manager, Laura Andrijauskaite. These drinks ensure that attendees can experience the social and sensory elements of being at a club without compromising their sobriety. "I've put together a great lineup of options for sober ravers, we wanted an offering that tastes amazing like CBD-infused Trip, a delicious alternative to wine drinks from Real.co, Low-alcohol functional spirits from Smiling Wolf—perfect in cocktails or with mixers—and 0% beer options from Lucky Saint," Andrijauskaite explained. As more individuals explore sobriety for various reasons, like health and personal preference, Ministry of Sound's adoption of the "sober curious" movement is indicative of its growing mainstream appeal. According to Alcohol Change UK, the amount of alcohol consumed in the region and the proportion of people drinking have fallen since 2005. The trend is especially strong amongst younger people, the nonprofit claims, citing data from the Office for National Statistics. The daytime series will debut on May 11th, when DRIIA takes the stage. Additional lineups have yet to be revealed for future events, which will take place quarterly until November and include nighttime programming. You can find out more via Ministry of Sound's website. 5. XIE’s Valentine’s Day single, “LOVE LANGUAGE,” now has a music video to match. The Los Angeles-based producer, singer and DJ makes her triumphant return to the release radar with this energetic house track. “I wrote ‘LOVE LANGUAGE’ as my love song to house and electronic music,” says XIE. After navigating a turbulent 2024, she found solace in house music, using it as a source of strength and renewal. “No matter what I’m going through, it always lifts me up. House music has truly become my love language.” XIE recently announced her upcoming Kick Drum Heart EP on Lady Of The House records with “LOVE LANGUAGE” serving as the first single. A classically trained violinist, XIE has since turned her attention to the world of house music where she’s already graced the stages of Coachella’s Do LaB, HARD Summer, EDC Las Vegas and more. The music video was shot by DNZ Media and edited by the multi-talented XIE herself. Watch the video in full below exclusively on the Dancing Astronaut YouTube channel. 6. We recently chatted with one of the coolest minds in the Organic House world. Off the heels of having returned to Lee Burridge’s famous All Day I Dream, producer Lost Desert is currently chasing highs. From his latest release, the Saudade EP, he’s seen all its tracks in Top 20 and above on Beatport’s charts. It’s safe to say the long-awaited collection of tracks got its adequate response all over the world. A longtime resident on ADID’s label and events, Lost Desert has a plethora of legendary solo EPs, collaborations, remixes, and compilation contributions with the imprint. He first appeared on the label in 2016 alongside Lee Burridge for ‘Lingala’. His last release in 2023 was the third EP in his Lost Desert & Friends series. So, amidst all this traffic for the man, we’ve had a chat together, to ask him questions regarding the origins of the EP, where he draws inspiration from, dream collaborations, and much more. So sit down, and read on, as we have a heartwarming conversation with the man himself, Lost Desert. The Interview (Please note, the bolded text represents a question, while the paragraph(s) following it represent Lost Desert’s answers.) Absolutely wonderful EP. Could you please tell us the story behind the title track ‘Saudade’, and also why you decided to make it the song the EP would be named after? Hi, thank you. ‘Saudade’ came to mind when I had to prepare for the All Day I Dream party in Rio last year. The song is originally by the Belgian band Arsenal, an amazing live band that has made some wonderful albums along the way, and ‘Saudade’ is one of their bigger hits that was perfect for me to give a more Housy/Dance vibe to. I’m proud that Arsenal gave me the green light to have a go at remixing this gem. We called the EP Saudade because it’s a beautiful word meaning “A feeling of longing/nostalgia“. Is there a sort of “signature sound” or element of yours that you could say shines through in the EP as a whole? With this EP I wanted to spread out in style and genre, from very organic with Saudade including vocals, guitars, and strings, to a more Deep House vibe on ‘Dear To Me’. Some say it might be my grooves and percussion that make it feel like a lost Desert track or EP. When producing, where do you often draw inspiration from? Landscapes, experiences, simply melodies written in the studio, etcetera? Yeah, watching Bob Ross is a big inspiration! [laughs] No. It can be listening some classics or it can be just by starting a groove with my Native Instruments Maschine and let the drums and percussion lead me to a keynote on which I can start looking for melodies or scales to play, or I switch on one of my synthesizers and browse for a sound I like. I don’t have one way to go really. What would you say is the most unexpected thing/gift/lesson that has come to you thanks to your music career? Oh, now that’s a hard one to answer unless I start writing a book 😉 Music has given me everything I am, it has transported me from the biggest highs having some success, to the deepest valleys by failing to reach some self-set goals at some point. But it did teach me to keep going no matter what, in music, every time you start a new project or even a new track can change your life. And in my case, going out to DJ and meeting Lee Burridge changed mine. On that same topic, how did it all start for you as a musician and as Lost Desert? And also, did you ever doubt it was the right path to follow? Lee gave me the Lost Desert name back in 2015, I think because at that time I was really a lost unknown guy who was slowly fading away as a DJ / producer after a then 20-year career. Opening for Lee playing some music I had made got his attention and he asked, “Who are you?“. That moment changed everything for me, the desert part (I think) came after me talking about my bucket list dream of going to Burning Man, if anything, being Lost Desert felt and still feels like a blessing and a home being on All Day I Dream. Are there any acts you would want to collaborate with in the future? Someone who you maybe feel complements your style pretty well? Yess, I love collabs, and if I had to name a few it would be Lou Rhodes – vocalist of Lamb, Roisin Murphy, RY X… and producers, I would love to lock myself in the studio for a week with Matthew Dekay, Lee [Burridge] and Rick Rubin at his Shangri-La studio ;-), I can daydream, can I!! Any plans (releases, gigs, time off) you’re looking forward to this year? Any that you could share with us? I’m over the moon with my latest ADID release, having a number 1 in Organic House on Beatport with ‘When Sun Rises’ and number 5 with ‘Saudade’, number 9 with ‘Dear To Me’, and ‘Dunes of Alula’ nearly hitting the Top 20 is beyond my wildest dreams. I can’t wait to go out and play this year, starting at Do Not Sit in Miami on February 28th, then Music4Lovers in San Diego on March 2nd, and Superior Ingredients in New York on March 8th. Final Words Thank you so much Patrick for your time and having opened up for this interview. There was one line that hit me like a truck, “Music has given me everything I am“. It’s such a hopeful and cheerful yet delicate and humble line that can only highlight the power of music, both over the listener and also the creator. It also gives strength to those (all day I) dreaming about making music their soul’s mitochondria. Lost Desert’s Saudade EP is out now on All Day I Dream, and you can stream it on your favourite platform by clicking this link right here. 7. Ministry of Sound is starting a new series of sober rave events this summer. The events will happen four times a year, beginning May 11th and continuing until November. An iconic venue of their caliber, putting sobriety on the table, shines a light on the growing trend of partying alcohol-free. While Ministry of Sound has held similar events before, like Ecstatic Disco and Dry Disco, this new series is different. It’s the club’s first dedicated program for alcohol-free nightlife, showing a change in London’s club scene. DJ DRIIA will lead the series. Her own experience with sober raving influences her music. She’s known in the underground scene for mixing UKG, Jungle, and Breaks into her sound. Named a BBC Radio 1 Future Star, she has support from artists like Main Phase, Turno, and Jaguar, and she supports sober events in dance music. Additionally, a non-alcoholic drink menu will be available at the club, starting in February. Bar manager Laura Andrijauskaitė, who also lives a sober lifestyle, created the menu. It includes low and no-alcohol drinks from brands like LUCKY SAINT, Trip, and REAL.co, with options like craft beer alternatives, mushroom drinks, and CBD drinks. “I’d love to be a part of creating a fresh space in London for people to experience a (largely) sober day of music“, DRIIA says. “For me, the focus would be demonstrating that sobriety doesn’t impinge on enjoyment—if anything it can enhance it. By working with Ministry of Sound nightclub, we can demonstrate that you can still love underground genres like UKG, DnB, Dubstep, Jungle, and be sober/sober-curious. Dancing isn’t something that should be mutually exclusive with drinking, and to offer a space where music and community takes priority would be important in this ever-growing sober-curious society we live in.” *Cover image: Charlie Bluck [H/T] Electronic Groove The post Clubbing Giant Ministry of Sound To Host Sober Rave Series appeared first on EDMTunes.
  8. Claude VonStroke is done playing the industry game. After two decades building Dirtybird into one of the most recognizable brands in dance music, selling the company, and taking a well-earned break, he’s back—but this time, he’s calling the shots. His Life of Leisure tour isn’t about flexing status or filling the biggest venues possible. It’s a carefully curated run of shows at places he actually wants to play, for people who actually want to be there. The idea is simple: a few hours of pure, no-pressure fun, soundtracked by VonStroke’s signature weird, groovy, bass-heavy style. “This isn’t a status flex, it’s a vacation on the dancefloor,” VonStroke says. “The ravers are the heroes; I’m the guide. Let’s leave the stress behind and live the Life of Leisure together.” The tour kicks off April 25 at the Knockdown Center in New York, coinciding with the release of his new EP, I Was the Wolf. From there, he’s hitting a mix of intimate clubs and festival stages, including stops at CODA in Toronto, It’ll Do in Dallas, Space in Miami, and festival appearances at Lightning in a Bottle, Movement Detroit, and Osheaga. There’s also a European leg brewing, with London and Berlin dates already confirmed. It’s a fresh start, a new era, or whatever you want to call it—but at the end of the day, it’s really just Claude VonStroke doing what he does best: throwing parties that feel good. 11. ILLENIUM's Mexican destination festival, Ember Shores, has announced efforts to investigate and close the controversial dolphinarium present at its host venue, Barceló Riviera Maya. The festival released a statement on social media this week following allegations of mistreatment and the recent deaths of two dolphins held in the facility. After investigating the matter internally, Ember Shores said the dolphinarium is not owned by Barceló Riviera Maya but rather by a third-party organization. Organizers are now working closely with the resort to shut down the facility, which is the smallest dolphinarium in Mexico, according to local reports. "We would like to acknowledge the concerns raised for the dolphin facility at Barceló Riviera Maya," Ember Shores organizers said on X. "After our initial investigation, we can confirm that the resort does not own the facility and that it is operated by a third-party organization. However, we are working closely with the resort to have the facility shut down, in alignment with our values and commitment to animal welfare." Activists and animal welfare groups have denounced the facility after two dolphins, Alex and Pluto, died as a result of improper care in the last 12 months, The Yucatan Times reported. They were underscored by claims of inhumane conditions, citing inadequate space, poor environmental stimulation and psychological distress inflicted on the animals. The controversy has sparked protests across Mexico, Spain and the UK. The Mexican Federal Environmental Protection Agency is now reportedly investigating the facility.

  16. “Symphony,” EYNKA‘s newest release, is a trip through the stars that starts with whispered vows and ends with a euphoric release. “Symphony” grows like a nebula in space. It starts with delicate, crystalline arpeggios that shine and pulse with mathematical accuracy. In the beginning, there is an effect of suspended animation, where time seems to both stretch and shorten at the same time. These first patterns aren’t just an introduction; they’re also an invocation that brings users into a world of enhanced sensory awareness. The track’s ambient undercurrents create a huge soundscape, and ethereal voices that have been stretched and processed into otherworldly dimensions float through the arrangement like stardust. These vocal parts don’t just add to the production; they change it by adding emotional layers that connect the listener directly to something deep inside them. Symphony As “Symphony” goes on, its main idea slowly comes into focus, like a faraway planet that is mysterious at first but becomes clearer over time. This building structure shows how well EYNKA understands how to use narrative drama in electronic music. The song doesn’t just play; it emerges, slowly revealing its secrets while keeping a relentless forward motion. The spatial feature that is talked about in the track’s description can be felt thanks to careful production methods. With purpose and accuracy, sounds move through the stereo field, giving the user a three-dimensional experience that wraps around and swallows them. If you close your eyes, you’ll feel like you’re not in a room or club, but in a huge cosmic arena where sound can be seen and feelings can be felt. The track makes a rare connection between hearing with thought and moving your body. “Symphony” would create times of collective transcendence in a club setting, where hundreds of people would share a single emotional experience for a short time. In more private settings, it can be used as a way to think about oneself and deal with emotions. EYNKA The work of EYNKA shows that the UK electronic music scene is still producing innovative artists who push the limits while respecting the standards that came before them. 18. Following the success of his previous single “Pride,” the emerging London-based multi-instrumentalist, artist and producer Sherwøød returns in 2025 with a brand new track, “Dopamine.” This emotional blend of past and present soundscapes paves the way for a series of new national performances. “Dopamine” explores Sherwøød’s disillusionment with the societal pressures of today, drawing influences from Hip Hop, Indie Electronica, and Alternative scenes. As his second single, it solidifies his position as one of the UK’s rising stars, following years of navigating the underground music scene. Nadav, the enigmatic figure behind the music, merges melodic sounds with intricate narratives exploring the pressure to stay constantly online and appear successful. This second single serves as a precursor to his self-titled EP, set for release this year, which was crafted in collaboration with the renowned five-time gold record producer Joseph E-Shine. Sherwøød Comments “Dopamine’ is a look at the cycle of resenting yourself for wasting time, which in turn only leads to further escapism and procrastination through the false reality of social media.” Channelling the energy of artists like VITA, jai Paul, James Blake, Labrinth, and The Weeknd, Sherwood uses immersive artistry and passionate storytelling to bring forward a new wave of emotional expression and musical creativity. After a standout performance at London’s Camden Assembly last year, Sherwood is rapidly gaining momentum. 19. Goldie’s alter ego Rufige Kru (with SubMotive) has returned. Announced today, iconic breakbeat project Rufige Kru will release the brand new album ‘Alpha Omega’ on 16 May via London Records. Pre-order the album here. New single ‘Still The Same’ featuring CASISDEAD, taken from the forthcoming album, is out now. The single (produced collaboratively by Goldie and SubMotive) features a guest appearance from peerless grime MC and UK rap artist CASISDEAD, after years of requests by his fans to rap over a DnB track. In fact, it is rare for CASISDEAD to feature on tracks with other artists – such is the significance of this collaboration and it is his first new material since his critically acclaimed 2023 album ‘Famous Last Words’ and being awarded Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act at the 2024 BRIT Awards. The official video for ‘Still The Same’, directed by Elliott Gonzo, stars both Goldie as an AI overlord being hunted down by a vigilante CASISDEAD, set against the backdrop of a dystopian future. Of the video to ‘Still The Same’, director Elliot Gonzo says: “It was a huge honour to collaborate with these legends in the game. The freedom and trust I was given meant I could really push the boundaries of what’s possible with new technology, combining animation and virtual production. A massive shout-out to my co-director, Buse Simon, for helping bring these new worlds to life.” New album ‘Alpha Omega’ consists of twelve groundbreaking new tracks which bring together Goldie’s unerring dancefloor suss and the impeccable technical prowess of Submotive (real name James Davidson). It is Rufige Kru’s deepest outing so far – a reminder of exactly why drum’n’bass remains the most exhilarating, groundbreaking and electrifying music on the planet. Of the new album, Goldie says: “It’s a reinvention. We’ve gone back to the source and extrapolated from there. I wanted to create something that absolutely represents what this music is all about … and where it’s going next.” Full album tracklisting for Goldie presents: Rufige Kru – ‘Alpha Omega’ is as follows: Alpha Omega Goldikus feat. The run of shows will take place from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th June and Thursday 19th – Sunday 22nd June 2025. Renowned for their incredible live performances, the band played major UK festivals last year with a triumphant set at Glastonbury, as well as a powerful headline set at All Points East. LCD Soundsystem emerged from New York City in July 2002 with James Murphy’s first recording as LCD and third release on his DFA label, “Losing My Edge.” Keyboardist/vocalist Nancy Whang and drummer Pat Mahoney were recruited for live shows as the band released singles including “Movement” and “Daft Punk Is Playing At My House,” which would appear on its eponymous 2005 debut LP. The band went on to release three critically acclaimed albums ‘Sound Of Silver’, ‘This Is Happening’ and the #1-charting, ‘American Dream’, which featured the Best Dance Recording GRAMMY-winning “Tonite.” Currently working on a new album, LCD Soundsystem released their latest single “x-ray eyes”, in November last year, marking their first new music since 2022’s “New Body Rhumba,” which was featured in Noah Baumbach’s film, ‘White Noise’. 23. In a dramatic turn of events at Berlin’s iconic Berghain nightclub, Danish DJ and producer Kasper Marott collapsed during his set, momentarily halting the club’s pulsating energy. The incident occurred during the early hours of February 15, 2025, as Marott was delivering one of his signature techno performances. Eyewitnesses reported that Marott suddenly fell onto the mixer, causing the music to come to an abrupt stop. Club personnel swiftly attended to him, ensuring he received prompt medical attention. After a brief pause, Marott astonishingly regained his composure and chose to continue his set, much to the delight and relief of the crowd. Addressing the incident on Instagram, Marott expressed gratitude for the professional handling by Berghain’s team and the support from fans. He attributed the fainting spell to exhaustion and dehydration, noting he “walked away with a new scar” but was otherwise unscathed. Marott also clarified that he has been sober his entire life, dispelling any rumors of substance use. One fan wrote “See u coming back with a Towel on your head and finishing the set like nothing happened was the best thing of the night !! Respect and love to you.” This event highlights the physical demands placed on performing artists and underscores the importance of self-care in the music industry. Marott’s quick recovery and commitment to his craft serve as an inspiration to both fans and fellow musicians. 24. Dirtybird founder Claude VonStroke is taking flight on a comeback tour, officially ending a two-year hiatus that saw him sell his prized record label. VonStroke flew the coop back in 2023, when he announced a break from the house music project to focus on his bass alias, Barclay Crenshaw. The influential DJ and producer, who spent over two decades cultivating the beloved Dirtybird ecosystem, is now set to hit the road with a new vision in late-April. Rather than pursuing the typical relentless touring schedule that often leaves artists migrating from venue to venue without purpose, VonStroke's approach reflects a more intentional philosophy. Dubbed "Life of Leisure," the tour represents what he describes as "a vacation on the dancefloor," creating nest-like safe havens where fans can escape the anxieties of everyday life. "This isn't a status flex, it’s a vacation on the dancefloor. The ravers are the heroes; I’m the guide," VonStroke said in a press release shared with EDM.com. "Let's leave the stress behind and live the 'Life of Leisure' together, even if it’s just for a few hours in the club." Don Idio/DIVISUALS VonStroke's "2.0 brand" will launch at a record release party at New York's Knockdown Center on April 25th before swooping into other hand-picked venues across North America. The tour will then perch at a number of his favorite venues and festivals, including Miami's Club Space, SoCal's Lightning in a Bottle and Detroit's iconic Movement. For fans across the pond, VonStroke isn't leaving European audiences out in the cold. Special shows in electronic music hotspots London and Berlin are already confirmed, with more international dates set to hatch in the coming weeks. The tour will ultimately coincide with the release of VonStroke's upcoming EP, I Was the Wolf, scheduled to drop April 25th. Fans can expect "the best elements of 2000s minimal house with the lush, quirky eccentricity only VonStroke can bring," per the press release. Pre-sale tickets to "Life of Leisure" will be available Thursday, February 27th at 10am ET. The general on-sale will begin the following day at the same time. c/o Press Follow Claude VonStroke:X: x.com/vonstroke Instagram: instagram.com/vonstroke Facebook: facebook.com/claude.vonstroke TikTok: tiktok.com/@claudevonstroke Spotify: spoti.fi/2YLMy82
  25. When Wavejackers‘ “Where I Am” hit me for the first time, it made me feel deeply lost in the chaos of the city. The first notes of the song came in like a familiar whisper, cutting through the noise of everyday life with clear clarity. Its rhythmic structure, which was both sad and hopeful, made a safe place where time seemed to bend and stretch beyond what it normally does. It’s not the technical perfection or new ways of making this piece that makes it stand out, though those things are there. Its magic comes from the way it expertly balances two very different emotions: recognizing evil while showing the way forward. Each swell of synthesizer sounds like a remembered loss, and each hit of percussion marks time not in beats per minute but in heartbeats, which are moments of life passing, changing, and transforming. The structure of the story is what makes the piece strong. It starts with quiet, thoughtful tones that float in the emotional gray areas. Over time, it builds into detailed layers that show how complicated human feelings are. The bass frequencies give the experience a solid, physical base, while the ethereal pads give you an emotional lift, like flying above your problems to see something bigger. The breakdown near the middle of the song is especially transformative; it’s a moment of complete weakness where everything is stripped away except the emotional core. I’ve had to face images and memories I’d been avoiding in this empty musical space, which was full of noise and other things that were distracting me. In the end, this song tells us that emotional journeys don’t go from dark to light in a straight line, but instead are complicated spirals where we keep going back to the same places with new insights. It’s not about getting to a certain place that holds magic; it’s about becoming more present and accepting of where we are at any given time. [Author’s note: This piece looks at how a certain piece of computer music makes people feel. The song “Where I Am” is the main focus of the article, but it gives room for readers to add their own musical experiences. This is done on purpose because our deepest connections to music often go beyond specific artists or songs.
