Marking the latest chapter in his musical journey, Berlin-based record producer, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Monolink unveils his new single, “Powerful Play” – out now via Embassy One. Following the success of “Mesmerized” in January and its stripped-back acoustic counterpart in February, “Powerful Play” further demonstrates Monolink’s ability to craft immersive sonic experiences that resonate deeply with global audiences, as he fuses evocative storytelling with his signature blend of organic instrumentation and electronic treatment, to explore themes of impermanence, presence and the unstoppable rhythm of life.
With a deeply introspective and poetic essence built upon Monolink’s layered vocals, spirited rhythms and poignant storytelling, “Powerful Play” invites listeners to embrace the fleeting nature of existence and immerse themselves in the beauty of the moment; his distinctive blend of electronic beats and raw acoustic elements serving as a perfect backdrop to the song’s profound lyrical depth.
The single is accompanied by a visually arresting official music video, produced by the Copenhagen-based film production company FRANZI. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vasco Alexandre, the video delves into the intimate and complex dynamics of siblinghood, portraying the bond between two brothers as a fragile yet indestructible connection shaped by shared history and unspoken emotions. A ghostly presence—a spectral embodiment of their relationship—shadows their journey, symbolising the silent struggles and triumphs that intertwine their lives.
Blending surreal imagery with stark reality, the film captures the brothers in a dreamlike, psychedelic odyssey where the boundary between consciousness and sub-consciousness blurs. The mysterious figure that follows them intensifies the eerie, chaotic undertone of their story, culminating in a cathartic release. In the video’s final sequence, the brothers break free in a sprint of pure, raw energy, shedding the weight of their past and embracing an unshackled future. This moment of liberation underscores the song’s central theme: no matter what trials we face, the powerful play goes on.
With “Powerful Play,” Monolink once again showcases his ability to create music that resonates on both an emotional and philosophical level. This new single serves as an anthem for embracing the present, allowing the rhythm of life to unfold naturally, and recognizing the power of resilience and renewal.

TER3NCE is set to release his first solo EP on LFLF (Love For Love Frequencies). Talkative EP consists of five tracks and serves as a showcase of his versatile take on drum and bass, as well as the further refinement of TER3NCE’s signature sound.
The Dutchman from Utrecht, who’s patiently been working throughout 2024 on this release – chronologically puzzling together the release track by track – hails it as a personal highlight. One that symbolically is captured in the name of the EP on different levels.
To underline the intent of really pushing the envelope in 2025, TER3NCE not only signed with MB Artists, but also celebrates the release of the Talkative EP in style. At renowned Cheeky Monday at Melkweg, Amsterdam, to be precise. The release party at this weekly drum and bass night (essentially one of a kind in The Netherlands) welcomes none other than Posij as the headliner.
Overall, plenty of reasons to do an interview, so we caught up with the avid knob twiddler in anticipation of these pivotal moments. Expect some reflections on the journey so far. As well as outlining how his philosophy as a student – but also as a teacher, is applied to the art. We also will look further ahead. Like, when to expect the first album from the now 21-year-old creative.
Read on for some valuable insights into his mindset – and those who aspire to similar achievements: observe and absorb.
How would you describe what makes this release special to you?
This release really marks a turning point for me. It’s the sound I want to develop further, something I truly found over the past year, especially in 2024. The EP took shape at the start of the year, and I gradually put together all five tracks.
Initially, I just wanted to do another solo EP on LFLF, so I started working on some tracks—maybe two or three at first. As things progressed, I realized I had something cohesive, and more tracks naturally followed. Eventually, it felt like a solid, well-rounded EP with a strong identity that I’m really happy with. This sound is something I want to push further.
For me, this release is just the beginning of a lot more to come.
So it sounds like you had a full year to shape your sound without any pressure. That must’ve allowed you to refine things and experiment more freely
Exactly. It was a lot of trial and error. Over the past few years, I’ve focused heavily on sound design and creating drums, and that all led up to this moment. It also came together perfectly with Bardo (Nymfo) launching his new label—I was involved early on.
The first EP I did for LFLF was with Julian (Lian Feldd), and those were tracks we had made years earlier, but hadn’t found the right place for. With Bardo creating this platform, it motivated me to further develop my sound and take things more seriously.
Since it’s a relatively new label still, does it feel different from working with more established ones
Yeah, definitely. It’s exciting to grow alongside a label. I really appreciate emerging labels in the drum & bass scene. I’ve previously released on Stellar Audio, Yamatai Records, and In The Lab—all relatively new labels that are super supportive of up-and-coming artists.
Bardo himself was almost like a mentor, helping me shape the EP. There was no rush, no pressure. Ironically, I initially set an early deadline for myself, but taking extra time allowed me to really refine my sound and be confident in the direction I’m heading.
The EP title, ‘Talkative’—does that reference how much discussion went into the project.
It’s funny because I struggled to find a title for a while. Usually, I name EPs after one of the tracks, but this time, I wanted something different.
‘Talkative’ has two meanings. First, there are a lot of spoken-word samples in the EP—clips from old movies, TV shows, and even a NASA recording. It’s an instrumental EP, but those voice snippets add character. Second, it reflects a part of my personality. I can be quite talkative myself—maybe even a bit too much at times—so the name just felt right.
What was the biggest challenge in putting this EP together?
Finishing it. Choosing the right tracks. For example, The Photosphere was the last track I made, around late 2024. The EP came together almost chronologically—starting with Lost Your Mind, then Side Roller, Laser Lights, I Only Speak In Basses, and finally The Photosphere. I didn’t even realize it at first, but when I saw the final order, it made perfect sense.
Originally, there were two other tracks on the shortlist, but they didn’t quite fit the overall sound. That was tough because I wanted to release them, but I also wanted the EP to be cohesive. I like concept-driven EPs—a consistent sound or vibe throughout. That’s something I plan to continue in my career. Maybe someday I’ll do a neurofunk EP, or a liquid one. I enjoy versatility.
Speaking of bigger projects—would you consider doing an album in, say, 2026?
That’s a tough one. Maybe not 2026. I’d love to do an album eventually, but to me, an album is a massive project—almost a life’s work. It wouldn’t be just drum & bass; I’d want it to be a full artistic statement.
If I do it, I’d want to take at least six months to focus purely on music, without distractions. I’m thinking about it for the future, but for now, I’m sticking to EPs.
What (sub)genres would you include?
Definitely some 140 BPM stuff, halftime, maybe dubstep or garage. I’d want it to tell a story, so it would include interludes, ambient soundscapes—less club-focused and more of a listening experience.
Looking back at 2024, what were your biggest highlights
There were two standout moments. First, playing at NOX on King’s Day, alongside Nymfo and VOXI. That was the biggest crowd I’ve played for—literally tens of thousands of people. Just a sea of faces.
Then, getting booked for Motion in Bristol. That felt like a full-circle moment. I’ve been making and playing music for nearly a decade, and finally getting booked internationally by people who appreciate what I do was a big realization—like, wow, this is real. Bristol is such a hub for the sound I love; it almost felt like a second home.
And looking ahead to 2025 – any news you can share
Yeah, I’ve got something cool coming up. On April 14, I’m doing a release party for the Talkative EP at Cheeky Monday. It’s almost like an unofficial Love for Love Frequencies takeover—I put together the line-up with artists I really like, from upcoming talent to bigger names. Posij is headlining, so that’s gonna be sick.
For those unfamiliar, how would you describe Cheeky Monday
Cheeky Monday has been running since around 2005—every single Monday. It’s an institution in a sense, and a community. There’s a dedicated crew that always shows up, they book incredible artists, and it’s just a crazy vibe.
Who even goes out on a Monday? Turns out, a lot of people. I first played there in 2023 with Julian, and the venue—Melkweg—is one of my favourites. Playing there was a dream come true. Now, getting to host a release party there? That’s next level.
Do you ever think about where you’ll be in five to ten years?
I’d love to be doing this full-time—getting more regular bookings, releasing music consistently. Ideally, I’d have a platform where I can put out a variety of music. That’s possible now, but in five years, I’d like to be even more versatile, both as a producer and DJ. I enjoy a lot of different styles, though drum & bass is my main thing.
Would you consider running your own label at some point
Absolutely. I think about that a lot. It would be great to provide a platform for artists who might not otherwise have the opportunity, and to create a strong creative environment. That’s why I admire what Bardo does—it helps the scene grow. I really believe that discovering new talent keeps everything moving forward.
Are there any common pitfalls in this industry that you try to avoid
One big one is losing your creative edge—producing just for the sake of it rather than truly creating. I think it’s important to develop a signature sound, something recognizable. But at the same time, I want to leave room for creative side projects. I don’t only make drum & bass in my free time, and I’d love to release some of that other music in the future.
So you experiment a lot outside your main releases
Yeah, definitely. It’s music for myself, to try things out. That doesn’t mean the music I release isn’t personal—it definitely is—but there’s a difference between making music with an audience in mind and just creating freely.
As someone who also teaches, what are some mistakes you see beginners making
One thing I struggled with in the past was finishing tracks and actually sending them out. I’m much more consistent with that now. Laziness can be a real trap—settling for “good enough” when you know you could push further. I had to come to terms with that over the last year and really commit. This is what I want to do, so I need to put in the work.
It’s easy to get caught up in the image of being a producer rather than the actual craft. Do you see that happening?
Definitely. This industry revolves around self-promotion. You constantly have to put yourself out there, which can be overwhelming if you’re not mentally prepared for it. It’s important to stay grounded. I’ve seen plenty of people build themselves up too much, but that kind of attitude doesn’t always last in the long run. Staying humble is key.
What’s your approach when starting a new track
Lately, I try to map out the entire track in one session—spend a full day just getting the whole concept down. Then I go back and refine it. I used to overproduce, but I’ve learned to trust that a track is “done” rather than endlessly tweaking. Less is more. My latest EP really embodies that—just drums and bass lines basically talking.
Do you try to eliminate distractions while working
Yeah, I have to. I’ll literally turn my phone off. Distractions kill creativity, especially when you’re in a flow state. You have to stay in that moment. Of course, taking breaks is necessary too—your ears need rest. But when I’m working on music, I try to be fully present.
Can listening to your own demos too often be a trap
For sure. If you keep replaying an unfinished track in random situations—on the way somewhere, for example—you start to accept it as is, instead of making improvements in the studio. You hear the same version so many times that you get used to it, even if it’s not actually finished.
You mentioned reading Rick Rubin’s book. Has anything from it stood out to you?
Yeah, it’s been fascinating. A lot of it is about understanding the creative process and overcoming mental barriers—like imposter syndrome or the urge to abandon projects when they’re not clicking immediately. Instead of stopping, I’m learning to push through those moments. It’s about recognizing those blocks for what they are and refusing to let them control the process.
Do you think learning an instrument helps producers?
Absolutely. It can help you come up with different melodies, chords and overall ideas faster when you’re playing it on an instrument, for example. I play piano and started when I was eight. In high school, I was in a few bands, which helped a lot with performing. I’d love to play in a band again someday, maybe as a keyboardist. But right now, my focus is on production.
Are your lessons one-on-one?
Yeah, all private lessons.
Would you say private lessons are a good investment for producers?
Definitely. Learning from someone more experienced speeds up the process. I mostly taught myself through YouTube tutorials, but going to the Herman Brood Academy gave me time and space to focus on music. That’s when I really committed to drum & bass.
There weren’t many other producers in that genre at the school, but I connected with Julian, and we learned a lot from each other. Collaborating is one of the best ways to improve. Besides that, taking lessons from someone you admire can really accelerate your growth.

With 3,000 people expected, the show sold out right away, making it a night that will never be forgotten. The show had images and a stage design that had never been seen before. It was a new, immersive experience that showed off the global hitmaker’s signature happy dance hooks.

For years, MARZI has operated in the music industry’s shadows, shaping hits behind the scenes alongside artists like Travis Scott, NAV, and Swae Lee. With “Dancing & Crying,” he steps into the spotlight — and out of his hip-hop wheelhouse.
The irrefutable earworm — which rests firmly in the dance/electronic lane and fittingly finds a home via new label in the space, Modern Delivery — nevertheless bears the influence of MARZI’s hip-hop roots. The song’s can’t-get-this-out-of-your-head-caliber melody stems from one stuck in MARZI’s head for years, initially conceived for a hip-hop project. On “Dancing & Crying,” MARZI re-imagines it within a house context, bringing what was once a nascent idea to catchy completion.
“This song has been stuck in the back of my head for years, so to finally be able to finalize it and release it to the world is very satisfying,” the Los Angeles-based DJ/producer said.
With “Dancing & Crying” serving as a compelling signal of what is still to come from MARZI, who adds that he “started this project because I was fed up with working with artists strictly for their projects…putting my future in other peoples’ hands and putting my dreams on hold,” it’s clear that there’ll certainly be more dancing than there is crying as MARZI’s solo project matures.

Cristoph is here today with another new single titled ‘Where Do We Go‘ out now on his own Consequence of Society Recordings. This release follows the success of his latest work ‘String Thing‘. His label allows him to explore his artistic vision, and also bring other artists with a similar sonic vision to the forefront.
‘Where Do We Go’ continues to showcase his strength for atmospheric and progressive sound while adding a retro flair to this one. The synthwork is dynamic as the lyrics repeat throughout. It is hypnotizing with gradual builds and an evolving melody. Let the rhythm take you for a night drive. With the breakdown slowing the pace a beat, it picks you back up across the finish line.
The Newcastle producer and DJ’s musical style is influenced by the Chicago house scene and the progressive sounds of Masters At Work and Sasha & Digweed. Gaining much recognition over the years for his progressive house music, he holds releases across multiple prominent labels including Pryda Presents, Bedrock, and Anjunadeep. Plus, he collaborates with industry stalwarts like Camelphat and plays major festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami, EDC Las Vegas, and even Groove Cruise. Now with a residency at Hï ibiza and an O2C Open to Close Tour for 2025, we’re sure to witness more from Cristoph.

I firmly believe if MARINA continues to release a new track each month going forward, I will be noticeably brimming with immense joy for everyone to see. Especially when considering the fact, just one month has passed since she unveiled “Butterfly.” The captivating first release since her fifth album, 2022’s “Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land.” Following the stunning debut of “Butterfly” in February, MARINA quickly delivers an equally mesmerizing second single. With “Cupid’s Girl,” she explores new musical territory while keeping her signature style intact.
With this captivating performance, MARINA skillfully conveys her intentions while animatedly sharing her heartfelt motivations. Her candid revelation highlights the depth of her yearning to win over her crush, all while weaving a compelling narrative. The verses showcase MARINA’s sultry, full-bodied vocals that draw listeners in. While the choruses display a masterful shift to a more vulnerable tone, reminiscent of Kate Bush’s iconic tracks “WOW” and “And Dream of Sheep.” This dynamic vocal journey makes her artistry truly unforgettable.
MARINA is not just igniting excitement for an upcoming era; she is also making waves with prestigious festival announcements. Confirmed to grace the stages at both weekends of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, World Pride Music Festival and The Governors Ball. To top it all off, MARINA is confirmed to rock the iconic Lollapalooza festival. These standout performances are expected to be some of the most exciting highlights in MARINA’s busy calendar of upcoming events.
If all of the new music isn’t enough to be excited about, there are also other treats in store. In honour of another significant milestone in her career, namely the 10th anniversary of the release of her third album, “FROOT.” A special Limited Edition Red EcoRecord is to launch on July 25. The album includes memorable singles like “I’m A Ruin,” “Happy,” “Forget,” “Blue,” and its title track “FROOT.” In addition to the beautiful EcoRecord, fans can look forward to a Tropical scented Sticker and the inclusion of the previously unreleased track “I’m Not Hungry Anymore,” which dates back to the FROOT era. The electronic scene in the early to mid 2000s was synonymous with two names, Doctor P and Flux Pavilion. They were both at the helm of the dubstep phenomenon that took over the globe during this time, which catapulted their sound and careers to unforeseen heights.
Their take on dubstep was whimsical, manic and completely outrageous at times. However, it resonated with millions of people across the world, and forever altered the electronic music landscape. Now, decades later they’re on the brink of releasing their collaborative, self-titled dubstep album, which is an ode to their 23 year-long friendship and the genre that changed the trajectory of their lives indefinitely.
The 15-track album, which will be released via their groundbreaking imprint Circus Records on 27 March, marks a full circle moment for both artists. It cross-pollinates elements of jungle, grime, breaks and other electronic mutations, and feels like a time capsule with a contemporary edge, with many fans sharing their overwhelming nostalgia online after listening to the album’s teasers.
The album is a formidable body of work which not only exhibits their roots, but also their staggering individual growth. The build-up to its release has been incredible, with teasers like ‘WDGAF’ and ‘Wasabi’ decimating all expectations, and fans on the edge of their seats, desperately needing more. The focus track ‘Water’ features voice notes from the Circus Records team, and kicks off with a sucker-punch beat and a brawny bassline, and then morphs into a deranged, mouth-watering bass spectacle.
In our exclusive interview with Doctor P and Flux Pavilion, we chat about their favourite tracks on the album, the future of dubstep and what else 2025 holds for them. Stream the album below, while reading our exclusive interview!

You’re about to release your album Doctor P & Flux Pavilion, a gargantuan 15-track dubstep album! How are you both feeling about the album release?

Doctor P: Excited, nervous, it’s been a journey.
Flux Pavilion: Yeah I think excited, we’ve put a lot into this and it’s time for it to enter the world. It’s an unusual feeling for sure.
Fans have been raging online about the nostalgia the album is evoking, with many saying it feels like the early 2010s again. What about this era made dubstep such a formidable genre, and what sparked your return to this sound?
Doctor P: I guess at the time we were all just experimenting and Dubstep was still fresh with lots of room to do something new.
Flux Pavilion: Definitely, I think we decided between ourselves that there were some elements we discovered back then that shouldn’t be forgotten, so now was the time to modernise them and bring that back to present day Dubstep.
You’ve been collaborating for over 20 years, and it’s clear that you have quite a strong bond and understanding. After all this time, how do you manage to keep your dynamic fun, innovative and fresh?

Doctor P : Probably by not overdoing it, we both have very independent careers, it’s not that often that we come back together and do something this creative. So it definitely feels fresh every time.
Flux Pavilion: We understand each other in quite a unique way, plus we’re honest about stuff when we think it doesn’t work. Then we manage to be good at finding the right answer for those problems, or one of us wins and we forget about it! lol
The album has been described as a balance between a “serious body of work” and “just two friends messing around on a computer”. In light of this, the music industry can be extremely grueling for artists, and it’s easy to get caught up in the seriousness of it all. How do you balance the light, playful side of things with the more serious aspects?

Doctor P: I think people see me as quite serious, but I like to challenge that assumption in my sense of humour and graphic design. I really enjoy making music and being in the studio, which is probably where I find that balance.
Flux Pavilion: Yeah, I guess there are two answers here. In terms of music I’ve always had that approach, I think I’ve always been at my best when pushing for a feeling over creating the most perfectly finessed commercial project. The industry is very serious, and it’s important to understand and embrace that, but I always balance life and personal time to make sure I don’t get in too deep.
Doctor P & Flux Pavilion Album Cover / Album art by Doctor P and Fiona Garden
This year marks 16 years of your label Circus Records. Aside from the release of your album, what does the rest of 2025 hold for the imprint?
Doctor P: More of the same I think, to be honest we’ve been so in deep on this album it’s been hard to think about anything else.
Flux Pavilion: Yeah, I think there’s more music coming from lots of the new artists on the label. FuntCase mentioned he’s working on a collaboration EP, so that should be exciting.
As dubstep luminaries, how important is it for you to stay on the cusp of what’s happening with the genre?

Doctor P: Very important, so much changes, especially when new software comes out and people develop new approaches.
Flux Pavilion: I’ve spent lots of time over the last 2 or 3 years to make sure we’re at the forefront. This album is about that as much as anything, both of us bringing our current knowledge together, throwing in all the things we feel are missing in modern dubstep but in a way that works for the modern floor.
Where do you think the future of dubstep is going?
Doctor P: Serum 2
Flux Pavilion: The new dubstep scene is so exciting, I’m loving what people like Hamdi and LYNY are doing, inspired by the old UK scene, blending in of other genres, it’s fun.
Do you each have any favourites off the album?

Doctor P: I think ‘Flashback’ is really interesting, it’s got a foot in the old and the new, a good summary of what we’re trying to do in general.
Flux Pavilion: ‘Feel Good Ltd’ is lots of fun, we asked my friend Sarah Bonito from Kero Kero Bonito to jump on the vocal, she’s amazing and I love everything she does. She really gets that fun aspect of the music we wanted to make.
Are there any stand-out, special or outrageous studio moments from creating this album that you’d like to share?

Doctor P: We had to do a lot of work finding the right hooks for so many tracks, one that went left field was ‘Water’. We ended up asking a bunch of people from the Circus office to record voice notes saying ‘Water’, anyone British who’s been to the US will know how much contention one word creates.
Flux Pavilion: My favourite is from the head of business affairs, he’s got a great voice! We also accidentally left a placeholder sample at the end, but thought it was funny so left it in the final cut
Stream ‘Water’ below:

What do you hope fans take away from this album?
Doctor P: Hopefully it will give them a big smile, and a few strong bass faces.
Flux Pavilion: That they’ll enjoy how it makes them feel and they enjoy dancing to it out in the world. I think that’s the main thing.

What else can we expect from both of you this year? Are there any exciting tours, projects or releases in the works?
Doctor P: I’m busy with my next solo singles, some production work and my other Drum and Bass project Freaks & Geeks.
Flux Pavilion: I’ve got some remixes coming, then we’re working on putting together a Doctor P & Flux Tour (shhh, it’s a secret, don’t tell our agent we told you). After that, maybe Fluxiverse 3, we’ll see.

Zeds Dead had quite the weekend in New York. It all started on Thursday, March 20th, when they took over the world-famous Katz Deli. They served more than pastrami sandwiches and gave the pop-up crowd plenty to feast on. Katz Deli was filled to the brim with ravers as the Canadian duo played their world-famous sound in an iconic venue.
Their New York takeover continued into Friday and Saturday night at the sold-out Avant Gardner. Support for the shows was impressive, including Truth, Mr.Carmack, Distinct Motive, Mary Droppinz, Hershe, Suray Sertin, and more. Each of them added to an unforgettable night of bass and grooves.

Zeds Dead is coming off a huge album release Spectrum Of Intergalactic Happiness. Before the release, it had been over 8 years since their last one. This 14-track opus is their gift of self-expression to the world. As you listen, the music takes you to alternate dimensions, jumping across all parallel universes from track to track. ‘One Of These Mornings’ is a personal and crowd favorite, and hearing it for the first time live shook everyone’s bones.
Their stage design and visuals for the tour will take you back in time. They line the front of the stage with small old TVs that look similar to what we had as kids (depending on your age of course). They are big, boxy, and vintage, which allows for the visuals to be expressed in a unique manner. Those TVs were never very crisp with their pixels, so you get thrown back into time just by staring at them.
Zeds Dead does a wonderful job of sampling old songs. They are no stranger to pulling songs from the 1930s-1950s. What is really cool is they have found footage of the original artist and play it in the background while the modern track plays. They do some clever visual manipulation and take you on a colorful journey.
I think the most impressive part about Dylan “DC” Mamid and Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan is their mixing abilities. They play a variety of genres every time I see them and are constantly shifting BPMs seamlessly and often. This keeps the crowd on their toes, never knowing what to expect next.
Zeds Dead transcends this dimension we live in, giving intergalactic happiness to all.

John Summit, a famous dance music artist, shares his brand-new song “Light Years” with Inéz today through Darkroom/Experts Only. Summit’s music label and events brand, Experts Only, is meant to support the next generation of house, tech-house, and techno artists.
“Light Years” is a great example of current house music because it combines happy builds with deep, punchy basslines. The bright, melodic synths in the track give it an infectious energy that moves easily between tension and release. Summit’s flawless production shines through in every drop, creating a positive, festival-ready vibe that is both hypnotic and thrilling. Before his recent high-energy sets at The Sphere in Las Vegas and SXSW in Austin, he gave fans an early listen to the new song at major shows in London and Amsterdam.
The track sent waves of energy through the crowds before it was officially released.
Summit and Dom Dolla’s project, Everything Always, is getting ready to play the main stage at Ultra Miami. Their unique sound and high-quality production are sure to light up the main stage.
