The electronic duo AIGEL reveals the release of their sixth studio album, ‘Killer Qız’, marking a key milestone in their creative journey. The album’s focus track will be ‘Barsı Da Bezdä’.
This is the second album by the group recorded entirely in Tatar, exploring themes of loss and rediscovery, death and rebirth, the complexity of human nature, and trust in faith.
At the heart of ‘Killer Qız’ is a bold narrative: a DJ killer dances until the death of a high-ranking official, then escapes the country with her boyfriend. Figures from Russian society—ranging from “couch troops” to “Rospotrebnadzor employees”—watch their departure, while the “major, the doorman, and the war correspondent” desperately try to cling to the wing of their departing plane. But, as the lyrics declare, “no matter what they do, no one will take them along.” With the speed increasing, the pilot at the controls “plays hardcore.”
Despite the audacious and vibrant energy of some tracks, the album remains deeply personal and introspective. One particularly haunting moment comes in a track where vocalist Aigel Gaisina’s voice is absent; instead, a child’s voice slowly transitions from speaking Tatar to German in real time, capturing the poignant experience of linguistic assimilation. The album concludes with Aigel herself reciting in German, reflecting on the meaning of home—whether it is where one is born or where one is laid to rest.
A surprise addition to the album is a dance track in English, originally written for a short film by renowned clown Vyacheslav Polunin. This nearly wordless song carries the refrain that “life is a comedy,” offering a moment of lightness amidst the album’s weighty themes.
“Since February 2022, we faced a long creative pause—nothing was written, and all words seemed to lose their meaning,” says Aigel. “For three years, we slowly finished pre-war demos and pieced ourselves back together. Emigration intensified the metaphor of searching for new words. Now, Ilya and I live in different countries—Berlin, with its harsh, stylish, and free atmosphere, and rural Montenegro, with its sunny and gentle calm. This contrast has seeped into our music. After a long stagnation, the first language that emerged for me was Tatar—it was like a system reset, returning to my default language.”
One of the last-minute additions to the album, ‘Assimilation’, is a near-documentary-style track in which children gradually shift from resisting emigration to fully integrating into a new culture, replacing their native Tatar words with German. The track opens with sounds from the Berlin subway, and only after completion did Aigel realize that the announcer’s voice declares, “the train is heading towards Ruhleben”—a district in Berlin that translates to “peaceful life.” This unintended coincidence perfectly encapsulates the song’s theme.
Ilya Baramiya shares his perspective on the album’s production: “I liked how Baauer described his album Planet’s Mad—drawing from ’90s dance music, inspired by Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, and The Chemical Brothers. These artists didn’t stick to strict genres but focused on creating a unique atmosphere. We’ve taken a similar approach here, incorporating a broader range of influences—from K-pop to hard bass. There’s almost no hip-hop in this album.”
AIGEL, the duo of Tatar poetess and vocalist Aigel Gaisina and St. Petersburg electronic musician Ilya Baramiya, is known for their sharp lyrics and innovative sound in Russian, Tatar, and English. Their hit song Tatarin has amassed over 140 million views on YouTube, while their track You Born won a Silver Lion at the Cannes Lions festival. In 2023, their Tatar-language song Pıyala made history by topping the charts in over 10 countries and reaching the Billboard TikTok chart.
Since 2022, AIGEL has openly spoken against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Their performances in Russia were banned, leading them to leave the country—Aigel now resides in Berlin, while Ilya lives in Montenegro.
To celebrate the release of ‘Killer Qız’, AIGEL will embark on a concert tour. Tour dates and ticket information can be found on their official website: aigel.band.

The highly-established Death In Vegas return with new album ‘Death Mask’, where disintegration, overload and total sonic immersion tell a personal tale. With dirty circuitry and rough-hewn textures at the fore, this is gritty, unpolished techno; an audio outlier that’s full of personality, and a bold artistic statement. It’s closer in DNA to the grainy growl of sunn O))), or the searing intensity of Underground Resistance at their fiercest, and as far from generic influencer business as you could possibly get.
Raw in both senses, as well as unbridled electrical grit, ‘Death Mask’ is raw emotionally too. From Death In Vegas’ mainstay Richard Fearless’ own birth in Chingola, Zambia, to his father’s funeral, and the solace of his partner, the album reflects on Fearless’ own life, loved ones, and grief. Seeped in heavy emotions and torrents of volts, the results are some of the most strikingly visceral and human electronic sounds you’ll hear.
Multiple thematic channels are fed through Death in Vegas’ machines, with Fearless literally processing his feelings, working them through as a form of electronic primal therapy. More than just tattered gnarliness though, an unconventional beauty radiates through the noise. Like light refracting through a filthy, cracked stained-glass-window, icy IDM melancholy juxtaposes perfectly, with caustic rave power.
Broader inspirations are weaved into the album’s fabric too; from his Thameside Metal Box studio and evocations of nautical ghosts, to lamentations for a broken world, to memories of a youthful Detroit pilgrimage, and the innocent fraternity of rave euphoia, there’s a lot going on, acting as a chronicle of moments, and locations.
To the casual observer, with their mercurial catalogue, Death In Vegas might seem a hard act to pin down, but everything they’ve done is in fact grown from the same dirt. From the scuzzed-up beats of ‘Dead Elvis’, ‘The Contino Sessions’ narcotic rock n roll; the sleazegaze psych of ‘Scorpio Rising’; the krautwwerk klang of ‘Satans Circus’; the stroboscopic frazzlement of ‘Trans Love Energies’ and the gauzy throb of ‘Transmission’, each made its bed in the cosmic slop.
This time round, when asked about his influences for ‘Death Mask’, Richard comments, “I’ve been soaking in Ramleh’s ‘Hole In the Heart’, the machine funk of Terrence Dixon’s Population One, Jamal Moss’ psychedelic techno jams, the stunning minimalism of Mika Vanio’s Ø and Panasonic, the layered drones of LOOP, and drowning in the acid of TM 404.
Most centrally through, I’ve been inhaling the deepest dub, from Mark Ernestus’ distillations, to the principles of originators like King Tubby and Scientist. As someone who’s always been obsessed with the genre, I loved the idea of recording live takes as separate stems, then doing dub-inspired mixes of these stems through my console.
Some of the gear I use has a tendency to take on a life of its own, for example the Effectron delay which Arthur Russell also used. It was feeding back on itself, and ended up sounding like a radio conversation – literally voices from within the machine. On the Echoplex, the tape has never been changed. It’s eroded by the hands of time. When you record over the tape, things bleed in from what was there before, like people from the past.”
Live dates:
16/05/25 – Sat 17/05/25 – Deleste Festival, Valencia
12/06/25 – Live Q&A, Rough Trade Dover St, London

Richard Fearless began as resident DJ at the Job Club in London’s Soho during the 90s, where he’d play alongside Claude Young, Derrick May, Dave Angel and Andrew Weatherall. After a few years he was picked as a resident for the legendary Heavenly Social, alongside the Chemical Brothers. It was during this time that he started Death in Vegas.
Across the six Death In Vegas albums, guest vocalists have included Dot Allison, Bobby Gillespie, Iggy Pop, Jim Reid from The Jesus and Mary Chain and Mazzy Star’s Hope Sandoval.
‘The Contino Sessions’ was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, and its single ‘Aisha’ was a top 10 hit in the UK. The title track from the album ‘Scorpio Rising’ reached 14 in the UK charts.
Death In Vegas performed their much-loved single ‘Dirge’ on Jools Holland in 2000, then a quarter century later, in testament to its enduring appeal, the track was sampled by Celeste on her recent single ‘Everyday’.
Their music has featured in many TV programmes and films, most notably Sofia Coppola’s ‘Lost in Translation’, ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’,  and ‘The Animatrix’.

In the wake of her electrifying 2024 disco-infused hit “Freedom of The Night“. I was left with a palpable excitement, that it wouldn’t be long before Sophie Ellis-Bextor captivated us again. As she prepares to release her eighth studio album, this anticipation is especially high. Notably, it will serve as the follow-up to her 2023 project, “HANA.” Without a doubt fans are eager to see how she will evolve her sound and artistry in this new musical chapter.
Furthermore, the tail end of 2024 was an illustrious period for Sophie, “Freedom of The Night” was linked with a home catalogue shopping brand driven by a prominent TV advertisement, a Christmas campaign. Additionally, viewers on both sides of the Atlantic watched her welcome in the New Year. In the UK, she took the reins on a New Year Disco special. She also appeared at New York’s Times Square on New Year’s Eve on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
Prepare for an unforgettable experience as 2025 heats up, with Sophie gearing up for her largest UK and Ireland headline tour yet this May and June. Don’t miss the chance to hear her captivating new song, “Relentless Love,” a shimmering testament to her artistry and passion.
Sophie says, “Relentless love” came from my love of fun fairs and the way that falling in love and going on a ride can be a similar thrill. Ferris wheels, roller coasters… all of them can make your perception of reality a little wonky and give you a rush. They are sometimes unpredictable but also an exciting way to shift your perspective for a little minute”.
As anticipated, Sophie collaborates with a talented team of songwriters and producers to bring “Relentless Love” to life. This track notably taps into the connection with Baz Kaye, also known for his work alongside Jessie Ware. “Relentless Love” captures the essence of Jessie’s classic disco sound, delivering an engaging experience. Furthermore, Sophie effortlessly crafts her own brand of nostalgic, retro-infused disco-pop, showcasing her undeniable talent for this genre.

In a move that has stunned the electronic music industry, Decoded Magazine and Mixmag have officially announced their merger, set to take effect on May 1st. After a year of behind-the-scenes negotiations, the two iconic music publications have decided to unite forces, with Decoded Magazine taking the reins on all underground electronic music coverage, while Mixmag will double down on its EDM expertise.
From ADE Drinks to a Game-Changer
Sources close to the deal reveal that the merger discussions first began over a few drinks at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) last year. What started as a lighthearted joke between industry veterans quickly snowballed into a serious conversation about the future of electronic music journalism. With both publications holding significant influence in their respective spheres, it became clear that a partnership could offer unparalleled global reach and expertise.
“It just made sense,” says Decoded Magazine owner Damion Pell. “The money is better than I have now, and the reach is insane. Plus, let’s be honest—everyone knows melodic techno is the future.”
The New Editorial Divide
The merger will see Decoded Magazine assume full responsibility for underground and niche electronic genres, ensuring continued deep-dive coverage of techno, house, progressive, and experimental sounds. Meanwhile, Mixmag will dedicate itself entirely to EDM, bass, and mainstream festival culture, offering comprehensive coverage of the biggest artists, events, and trends shaping the commercial dance music space.
A spokesperson from Mixmag stated, “We welcome Decoded into the fold with open arms and fully stocked bars. Their team is incredible, and we’re excited about the new dynamic this partnership brings.”
A New Era for Electronic Music Journalism
With this historic merger, the industry can expect an even more refined approach to electronic music coverage. Decoded will continue to champion underground sounds with exclusive interviews, in-depth features, and cutting-edge reviews, while Mixmag’s EDM division will cater to the global mainstream audience.
Fans of both platforms can rest assured that their favourite content will not only continue but thrive, with increased access to exclusive material, larger event coverage, and a wider audience reach. The first collaborative issue post-merger will debut at IMS Ibiza, where the new editorial teams will unveil their refreshed vision for dance music journalism.
What’s Next?
While details of the operational shift are still being finalised, industry insiders suggest that this merger could be just the beginning of a larger consolidation trend in music media. Whether this signals a new golden age for electronic music journalism or a seismic shift in industry power dynamics, one thing is for certain—this move will reshape the way fans consume electronic music content.
As Pell himself put it, “If we’re going to do this, we might as well do it properly. Now, who’s buying the next round?”

Discover everything about Skrillex‘s new album “FULL” – how to listen to Skrillex’s 2025 album, track highlights, and why this surprise Dropbox release marks a pivotal moment for electronic music’s most influential producer.
Skrillex launched his highly anticipated new album “FULL“. But there’s a catch. He didn’t choose the standard release procedure. Instead, he released it directly to fans, skipping all standard streaming platforms in the process. The 47-minute sound journey showed up in fans’ email inboxes out of the blue, sent through a secret Dropbox link.
Usually, albums come out on streaming services at midnight. Skrillex’s “FULL” album came out through an email blast to his subscribers list after a private listening party in Miami where recordings were not allowed. This sneaky way of sharing—a secret Dropbox link with the whole 47-minute experience.
This is not the first time an artist released a song via a Dropbox link direct to the fans. Axwell already did several times in the past. The most famous one was with Swedish House Mafia’s Underneath It All.
Fans who want to get the Skrillex FULL album can only do so by subscribing to his official email list. However, more people will be able to get it in the next few days as the Dropbox link of Skrillex’s FULL album went viral minutes after it was sent. This direct link between the artist and the listener cuts out the middleman, creating a more solid bond between the artist and the fan base.
During its 47-minute length, the album immerses listeners in a carefully crafted soundscape where vocal samples clash with industrial elements, psychedelic synthesizer sections turn into thunderous bass drops, and brief moments of ambient beauty balance out the constant rhythmic assaults.
What makes this collection unique is how well the stories in it fit together. The production has Skrillex’s signature technical precision but also goes into emotional areas that were not expected. This shows that commercial or genre standards do not limit the artist.
This surprise drop comes at a very important time for Skrillex and dance music in general. This album is both an artistic statement and a disruption in the music business. It comes after his successful return to Ultra Music Festival after a ten-year absence. By sending “FULL” to fans directly through Dropbox instead of the usual routes, Skrillex rejects the algorithmic ways that people find new music these days.
Since Skrillex released “FULL” right after leaving Atlantic Records, it seems to be his unfiltered artistic vision, free from corporate control.

Dineen’s cult documentary follows two British sound systems, the legendary Sir Coxsone Outernational (featuring a young Blacker Dread) and the (then) up-and-coming Young Lion, both based in south west London.
Sound system culture was never only a music scene. As DJ Country explains in the film, he would use his sets to also provide news to the community. In a performance shown in the film, he speaks about the New Cross Fire, which killed 13 young black people in 1981, the same year that Dineen made Sound Business. Feeling that there was a cover-up over how the fire broke out, Black people came together to march in the first Black People’s Day of Action, a precursor to the cross-cultural Black Lives Matter marches in 2020 following the killing of George Floyd by police officers in America.
Narrated by Mikey Dread, this original footage from the early 1980’s gives some nice insight into the culture of Sound Systems in the UK. We’re introduced to one particular Sound System, the Coxsone Sound, UK’s Number One in the Reggae Sound System business during the time of this film.

There’s a moment when you step off the ski lift, look around, and realize that you’re standing in the middle of a dream. The crisp mountain air fills your lungs, the snow-capped peaks stretch infinitely around you, and in the distance, you hear the unmistakable pulse of a bassline echoing through the valley. This isn’t just any ski resort. This is Alpe d’Huez, and for one week every March, it becomes the epicenter of electronic music: Tomorrowland Winter 2025.
The 2025 edition of the festival was nothing short of a masterpiece. Now in its fifth edition, Tomorrowland Winter has firmly established itself as an unmissable pilgrimage for electronic music lovers worldwide. More than 22,000 People of Tomorrow made the journey to this frozen wonderland, embracing a week of adventure, music, and unity beneath the towering peaks of the French Alps. This year’s theme, ‘Paperworld,’ transformed the entire resort into a mystical realm, seamlessly blending nature’s raw beauty with Tomorrowland’s signature larger-than-life fantasy aesthetic.
A Festival Like No Other
What makes Tomorrowland Winter truly magical is its ability to merge the thrill of skiing and snowboarding with the euphoric energy of a world-class music festival. Picture this: you spend your day carving through pristine powder, stopping at mountaintop stages where some of the world’s best DJs are spinning against a backdrop of endless white. Then, as the sun sets, you make your way down to the heart of the resort, where the night unfolds into an electrifying spectacle of lights, music, and pure elation.
This year’s lineup was stacked with heavyweights. The stages saw the likes of Armin van Buuren, Kevin de Vries, Joris Voorn, LP Giobbi, Amelie Lens, Axwell, Kölsch, and many more deliver unforgettable performances across the mainstage and the more intimate mountain stages. Over seven days, more than 150 artists took festivalgoers on an unparalleled sonic journey.
The Evolution of Tomorrowland Winter
Having witnessed multiple editions of the festival, it’s clear that Tomorrowland Winter has evolved over the years. Each year, the production grows more ambitious, the organization more neat, and the crowd more diverse. This year felt like a true coming-of-age moment for the event. Everything—from the stage designs to the artist curation—was polished to near perfection.
The festival’s commitment to its immersive experience was awe-inspiring. Walking through the resort, you’d stumble upon art installations, hidden stages, and immersive experiences that made the entire village feel like an extension of the festival itself. Whether you were warming up at one of the cozy après-ski spots or dancing under the open sky at the Frozen Lotus stage, every detail contributed to the feeling that you were part of something truly extraordinary.
Stages
Mainstage – The Heart of Paperworld
The centerpiece of Tomorrowland Winter 2025, the Mainstage embodied the festival’s ‘Paperworld’ theme with a breathtaking, storybook-inspired design. Towering structures, intricate details, and a vibrant fusion of lights and pyrotechnics made this the ultimate festival arena. Hosting global superstars like Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, and Netsky, the Mainstage was where the festival’s biggest anthems echoed through the snow-covered peaks. Delivering a mesmerizing spectacle, with thousands of festivalgoers dancing in unison.
Cage – The Underground Sanctuary
Dark, intense, and pulsating with energy, Cage was the go-to spot for underground electronic music lovers. With an enclosed industrial aesthetic and hypnotic lighting, it hosted artists like Yulia Niko and Joris Voorn, turning it into a relentless techno haven.

CORE – The Mystical Alpine Retreat
Tucked in the snowy landscape, the CORE stage felt like a sacred temple of electronic music. Featuring a stunning organic and futuristic design, it became a sanctuary for amazing acts such as LP Giobbi, Kevin de Vries or the amazing DJ Boring B2B HAAI. The stage’s presence at Tomorrowland summer, and its mesmerizing audiovisual setup made it one of the most unique experiences of the festival.
Amare – The Symbol of Unity
Amare, with its elegant golden wings, symbolized Tomorrowland’s ethos of love and unity. Set against a backdrop of snowy peaks, this stage became a haven for uplifting and euphoric sounds, hosting a mix of progressive house and festival anthems. It was a place where festivalgoers could truly embrace the magic of the music and the breathtaking alpine setting.
Frozen Lotus – The Enchanted Ice Stage
Frozen Lotus was a tribute to the winter spirit of Tomorrowland, offering a truly magical open-air experience. Surrounded by snow and frost-covered scenery, this stage featured deep house and melodic techno artists, creating a chilled yet captivating ambiance. As the sun reflected off the snowy peaks, it became one of the most picturesque and immersive stages of the festival.
Reflection of Love – A Breathtaking singularity in space and time
With its beautiful and refined aesthetic, Reflection of Love was a stunning open-air stage that symbolized unity and connection and it was our favorite spot during this week. Hosting a mix of dynamic sets, this stage showcased a diverse range of artists, providing a space for both high-energy performances and deeper, more emotional moments. Our favorites here were Third Party and Hugel.
Moose Bar, Brasa & Resort Stages – The Hidden Gems
Scattered throughout Alpe d’Huez, these smaller stages brought a different kind of energy, offering everything from après-ski singalongs to intimate DJ sets. Moose Bar and Brasa delivered party-fueled, feel-good vibes, and sometimes surprised festivalgoers with surprise erformances and unique atmospheres, proving that Tomorrowland Winter’s magic extended far beyond the big stages.
Each stage at Tomorrowland Winter 2025 played a crucial role in shaping the festival’s identity, creating a journey through sound, emotion, and adventure in the heart of the French Alps. Countless moments defined Tomorrowland Winter 2025 and the entire festival was an emotional rollercoaster and a compilation of highlights and once in a lifetime moments. You need to be there to feel it.
For those who wanted to get a glimpse of the experience, Tomorrowland made sure to record and upload multiple full sets to YouTube and the Tomorrowland App. Even watching from a screen, you could feel the magic radiating through the speakers. Check it out here.
Pushing Boundaries While Preserving the Mountains
Tomorrowland Winter continues to work on new standards not only for festival experiences but also for sustainability. The festival has made significant efforts in reducing its ecological footprint, recognizing the responsibility that comes with hosting an event in such a pristine natural environment.
This year, Tomorrowland Winter expanded its eco-friendly initiatives, including improved waste management systems, increased recycling stations, and a commitment to using renewable energy sources wherever possible. A large focus has been placed on sustainable travel options, encouraging attendees to opt for eco-friendly transportation, such as shared shuttle services, to reduce the festival’s overall carbon emissions. Additionally, the festival has partnered with local organizations to ensure that the natural beauty of Alpe d’Huez remains untouched, reinforcing the idea that music and nature can coexist harmoniously.
Areas for Improvement: Lineup Diversity and Crowd Management
While Tomorrowland Winter continues to impress year after year, there are still areas where the festival could enhance the experience further. One of the main challenges has been stage capacity and crowd management, especially during peak hours when certain stages become overcrowded or even reach full capacity. Many attendees found themselves unable to access specific performances due to limited space, highlighting the need for improved stage distribution or real-time crowd monitoring to balance attendance across venues.
Additionally, while the lineup boasts some of the biggest names in electronic music, there’s an opportunity for Tomorrowland Winter to embrace greater diversity in genres and artists.
A Celebration Like No Other
Despite these minor areas for improvement, there’s no denying that Tomorrowland Winter 2025 was an unparalleled celebration of music, nature, and unity. With 250 km of pristine ski slopes, an atmosphere charged with positivity, and performances from the world’s best DJs, it remains an event like no other. The People of Tomorrow have once again proven that, whether under the summer sun or the winter snow, the Tomorrowland magic knows no season.
As the final beats echoed through the mountains and the festival came to a close, one thing was certain: Tomorrowland Winter is not just a festival—it’s an experience, a journey, and a moment in time that stays with you forever.
The Future of Tomorrowland Winter
As the final beats faded into the crisp night air and festivalgoers began their journey home, one thing was certain: Tomorrowland Winter had once again set a new standard. The question now is—how do they top this?
With five editions in the books, it’s clear that Tomorrowland Winter is no longer just an experimental offshoot of the summer festival. It has carved out its own identity, blending music, adventure, and natural beauty into a singular experience that no other festival in the world can replicate. Whether you’re a seasoned raver or a first-time attendee, one thing is guaranteed: once you experience Tomorrowland Winter, you’ll be counting down the days until your return.
So if you missed it this year, start planning now. Because in the world of Tomorrowland, the next adventure is always just around the corner.

More than a decade on, Deadmau5 is at it again! Same place, same track, same troll, just 11 years apart. Martin Garrix’s Animals bore the brunt of Joel Zimmerman’s trolling ire in Ultra 2014. The same version was resurrected again in Ultra 2025. The ‘Old MacDonald’ troll of Animals saw almost identical crowd reaction both times.

A quick rundown of events in 2014 for those who were too young, or simply do not recollect. Deadmau5 was booked at Ultra as a stand-in for Avicii back then following his sudden illness. Martin Garrix was one of the breakout artists at that time who just made a huge impact with ‘Animals’. Joel decided to turn ‘Animals’ into a rendition of ‘Old McDonald Had a Farm’ that made its way on his Ultra track list, leaving the crowd in splits.

Come 2025, and the iconic Old MacDonald’ troll of Animals had made it to Ultra again, courtesy of Zimmerman. The crowd again seems to soak in the amusement. Nothing has changed, except that Garrix is a global superstar who has worked his way to the top. That does not change the fact that he is still immune to the deadmau5 treatment of stuff. As history related to all things Joel, it might not be the last time either.

Sound the alarms: Skrillex is dropping his new album tomorrow, April 1.
Fresh from his first performance at Ultra Miami in a decade, and rocking a fresh haircut, the electronic icon today sent fans an email with a link to an audio file containing clips of several unreleased tracks. Moments ago, the same teaser was posted to his Instagram with the caption, “OUT TOMORROW.”
The latest in a series of audio teasers that Skrillex has shared with fans who signed up to receive his email marketing, the album trailer features several coveted IDs from the artist’s heavy dubstep days, including “Voltage,” an anthemic tearout tune that was supposedly lost when Skrillex’s hard drive was stolen in 2012, and his high-profile collaboration with Space Laces, which fans have dubbed “Kill Em” ahead of its official release.
As such, all signs now point to a brostep revival on the forthcoming LP, which will mark Skrillex’s fourth studio album, following the release of Quest for Fire and Don’t Get Too Close in 2023, and his debut, Recess, in 2014.
The as-yet-unnamed album will also be Skrillex’s last release with Atlantic Records before going independent, after he provided a glimpse into his future plans on social media at the turn of the year.
Listen to Skrillex’s new album teaser in the post below or at the link here.

A surprise transmission from Skrillex: a new album is coming tomorrow, April 1st.
It's not an April Fool's joke. Moments ago, the dubstep icon stunned fans by sending them an email containing an MP3 file with snippets of a slew of unreleased tracks. The file's metadata says it all: "OUT TOMORROW."
Particularly of note is the inclusion of "Voltage," an unreleased dubstep track for which fans have been clamoring since as early as 2011. The same goes for his long-awaited collaboration with Space Laces, which fans tentatively titled "Kill Em" in the absence of an official release.
The unnamed album is set to be Skrillex's final release under Atlantic Records before becoming an independent artist. The producer in late 2024 revealed his plans to go independent after fulfilling his record contract by virtue of his next body of work, noting he "never felt more inspired and in lockstep with my intentions as an artist."
Few artists wield the kind of influence Skrillex does, and fewer still exit major label deals on their own terms. He has spent over a decade shaping the contours of electronic music production, bending genre lines with a ferocity matched by few. His next album, expected to revive his early dubstep sound, is primed to spark another paradigm shift for the genre.
