International multi-certified French Singer-Songwriter Jain has joined forces with iconic Bosnian–German DJ/Producer Solomun. The two have released a vibrant and glistening dance-pop hit ‘Tout le monde est fou’ (French for “Everyone is crazy”). Out now via Arista Records/Sony Music France.
Jain is best known for her global hit ‘Makeba’ which garnered 722 Million+ streams. At a time when our heads can’t seem to stop spinning because it feels like the whole world has gone insane, Jain and Solomun anthemize this feeling in this instant hit. ‘Tout le monde est fou’ features Jain singing in French for the first time, a twist sure to excite fans. The release comes in a bundle that includes the extended cosmic disco-flavored club version, which Solomun has been teasing during his Latin America and US tour since December 2024.Reflecting on the track’s creation, Solomun shares:
The essence of the track’s official music video, directed by AI Artist Luigi Bastelica, captures humanity at its most chaotic, magnificent, and terrifying. A seamless loop of breathtaking shots, each more incredible than the last, unfolds in a continuous traveling movement – following, completing, and contradicting one another. While some scenes depict dystopian scenarios that do not yet exist, others are, unfortunately, all too real.

Techno titan Marc Romboy makes a triumphant return to his revered Systematic Recordings, this time joining forces with the enigmatic Skatman for a collaboration that promises to captivate the underground.
A true master of his craft, Romboy has spent decades shaping the landscape of electronic music, seamlessly blending leftfield ingenuity with synth-driven techno alchemy. His signature sound has echoed across global dancefloors, leaving an indelible mark on the scene. Skatman, a visionary producer, DJ, and head of Cognitive Prophecy, has carved out his own niche with an esoteric approach to sound design, earning acclaim for his ethereal yet powerful releases on Innervisions. Having previously remixed Romboy, he now steps into the spotlight once again, bringing his refined artistry to this electrifying new track.
‘Summer of 1986’ is a transportive sonic odyssey—a subtle yet evocative homage to the past, where vintage house stabs ignite a groove-laden rhythm atop intricately woven, textural drums. A brooding, shadowy vocal injects an air of intrigue, while feverish acid lines writhe and twist through the mix, adding untamed energy. Meanwhile, melancholic synth swells cast a contemplative spell, lending depth and emotion to this hypnotic composition. Bold, immersive, and brimming with timeless allure, ‘Summer of 1986‘ is a testament to the artistry of two boundary-pushing producers at the height of their powers. Listen here.

Tiësto has teamed up with rising Techno and Tech-House artist Oscar L for their new track ‘Flex.’ This new banger from the industry titan brings a fresh twist to his catalog. ‘Flex’ stands out with its unexpected use of metallic synths and a driving beat that sets the stage for the track’s unique sound. Together, the two artists have crafted a track that stands apart from the mainstream releases.
A Track Like No Other
“Flex” starts with a heavy beat and metallic synths that lead into a male dialogue saying:
After repeating the hook “Get That Money I’m Flex”, ‘Flex’ drops into a rhythm that stands apart from the usual tech house, with a synth that has a sound of its own, adding a surprising edge. The drop then breaks down with the dialogue and builds back up to a new version of the first drop. This time, adding in a melodic synth layered over the male vocal to enhance the emotional impact.
Tiesto & Oscar L: A Powerful Collaboration and What’s Next
This collaboration between Tiësto and Oscar L brings together their skills and creative energies to create something truly unique.
Oscar L, a mainstay in the Techno and Tech-House scenes for over 15 years, has produced music for top-tier labels like Drumcode and Knee Deep in Sound, bringing his dynamic style to this track. ‘Flex’ comes after his massive releases, ‘Yapper‘ and ‘Addiction‘ with Max Styler, another industry leader in the realm of house music. You can catch him in the States over the next few months at the Coba in Dallas, TX, and Exchange LA in Los Angeles, CA.
Tiesto remains a staple in EDM and continues to help artists surface across the world with his collaborations. He already has 50+ shows planned for 2025. The majority of them are in his nest of nightclubs in Las Vegas – Omnia, TAO, and LIV. Also, he will be at an EDMTunes favorited event, Ultra Music Festival. Altogether, you can see many of his international and U.S. dates on his website here.
With the exciting release of ‘Flex’, fans are left wondering what’s next for both artists. Their combined effort of great artists like Tiesto and Oscar L always makes waves of excitement in our beautiful community.

The 2025 A State Of Trance Festival in the Netherlands witnessed a collaborative ‘Face-to-Face’ performance by Armin van Buuren and Maddix, where they pushed the boundaries of their musical and technical skills. Breaking from the standard B2B setup, the Dutch electronic musicians opted for a unique ‘Face-to-Face’ arrangement, placing their DJ equipment opposite each other during their performance. This marked a spectacular Armin Maddix F2F set that enthralled the audience.
Firstly, we must recognize the audacity and display of talent that many DJs and producers have with F2F sets, this being an example. With usual B2B sets, both DJ’s use the same set of decks, and can easily communicate with one another, as well as see what the other is playing. However, with a F2F set, this was not possible.
An ‘F2F’ set is an innovative approach to DJing, where the artists face each other and, crucially, are unable to see each other’s CDJs. This setup promotes a more profound and spontaneous musical connection. So Armin and Maddix had to rely on hand signals, facial expressions and sheer musical instinct.
The whole set is a presentation of the high-energy skills of Maddix and mimicry of Armin van Buuren to harder styles than the most common ones he uses for a presentation. From the beginning to the end of the confrontation, both artists decided to release a series of movements and musical bombs with great energy and speed with remastered versions of ‘In And Out Of Love’, ‘Meet her at the loveparade‘ and future classics as ‘Direct Dizko‘ and ‘Hellfire‘, thus leaving the audience on the edge of the floor where they were standing, with the impossibility of resisting dancing.
Here’s what Armin had to say about the performance:
“I had an amazing time playing face-to-face with Maddix. I’d never done it before, so it took us a little while to find our groove with the hand signals, but once we did, I had an absolute blast. I’d do it again in a heartbeat! Can’t wait to release our collab.”
Maddix had this to share:
“This was a completely new experience for me, and honestly, I was pretty nervous—playing a F2F is quite different from a B2B. And of course it was in front of a huge crowd & with the legend Armin van Buuren himself. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out though and I loved every second of it! Our hand signals for every transition worked perfectly.”
The ‘face-to-face’ set occurred within the larger A State of Trance festival in Rotterdam, which featured a five-hour opening performance by Armin van Buuren, showcasing both present and future trance music. This special performances included an Armin van Buuren’s massive 5-hour set on Friday, which led into Saturday’s A State of Trance day. Fans were given the chance to explore behind-the-scenes, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and participate in activities focused on wellness and mental well-being.
You can watch the Armin van Buuren F2F Maddix set on A State Of Trance 2025 below!

For those who have not yet experienced Miami Music Week, it's where your sleep schedule goes to die—happily.
Just ask any one of the disheveled rave zombies stumbling through the Miami International Airport on Monday morning. These are the survivors, the ones who danced until their bodies pleaded for mercy, then danced some more.
The annual celebration of electronic dance music culture is arguably the nation's best time for DJs and fans of the genre, who willingly devolve into a blissed-out, sleep-deprived haze in Miami. The city's hotels, bars, restaurants and streets transform into one giant, endless dance party, and the only souvenir you're left with is a questionable friendship with a flamingo pool floatie.
And convictions be damned, it's back. Ahead of Miami Music Week 2025, EDM.com has published its annual guide with an exhaustive list of club nights, pool parties, raves, record label showcases and more so you can keep a pulse on the pandemonium.

Over the years MOGUAI, Dimitri Vegas, and Like Mike have created a huge catalogue of top tier EDM which has earned them their status of being titans of electronic music. Individually they have each made incredible music and when they came together in 2013 to make ‘Mammoth’ that they made their greatest creation of all.
In a time where big room house was king, ‘Mammoth’ lived up to its name developing a mammoth reputation as being one of the best pieces of electronic music ever created. It would hit the charts in Belgium, Germany, France, and the Netherlands but surprisingly it was the less popular vocal version ‘Body Talk’ that would fly the highest. It managed to reach number 2 in Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s home country of Belgium despite it not catching on as well as its instrumental counterpart.
‘Mammoth’ has achieved some impressive numbers with it currently having 90 million streams on Spotify, reaching number 44 in Belgium, and being one of MOGUAI and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s biggest songs. Its achievements go far beyond what those numbers say though as it has regularly been in the top 5 of Tomorrowland Radio’s Top 1000 Anthems reaching number 2 in 2024. Its chart success may have been minor, but its adoration from the electronic music community, admiration from fellow artists, and legacy it has created are truly mammoth.

For many, Angel City’s euphoric Dance anthems were a defining part of the early 2000s club scene. Tracks like ‘Love Me Right’ and ‘Do You Know’ dominated the UK and US Dance charts, earning singer-songwriter Lara McAllen widespread recognition as the voice behind the project. But after a whirlwind of success, she stepped away from the industry, taking time to focus on family and personal commitments.
Now, after a decade-long break, Lara is reigniting Angel City with a refined sound that blends her signature melodic vocals with modern Trance and Melodic House influences. Collaborating with some of today’s most respected producers, including Ferry Corsten, Ruben de Ronde, and Amy Wiles, she’s entering a new creative chapter, one shaped by experience, resilience, and a deep love for music.
We caught up with Lara to reflect on her journey, the evolution of Angel City, and what’s next for her in 2025 and beyond.

Hi Lara how’s it going?
I’m feeling very positive at the moment, I feel like I have come out the other side of a difficult year (I had orthopaedic surgery and the recovery took a lot out of me and slowed me down) but, I have felt so much better both physically and mentally over the last couple of months so I am in a really good place to be creative now.  Productivity levels are back on track!
Looking back at your early success with tracks like ‘Love Me Right’ and ‘Do You Know,’ what stands out most about that time in your career?
The music industry was very different in the mid-2000’s.  I remember working really hard to get Angel City out there, touring clubs for months on end with ‘Love Me Right’. It paid off because I was soon performing all over the world as Angel City, I was even doing shows in New York and LA as ‘Love Me Right’ really caught on in the US.   I think the turning point was being picked up by Radio 1 as a record of the week.  It was amazing as an EDM vocalist to have that kind of exposure and it led to some amazing TV opportunities.
After taking a break from music, what inspired you to return and reignite Angel City?
I started to feel some real regret about leaving music.  During the pandemic when we had more time to stop and reflect on things, I knew that I needed to sing again and be doing the thing I am truly passionate about.  I set up my studio at home.  But timing wasn’t on my side and my grandmother got very poorly right in the middle of the pandemic.  It was never in question that I would nurse her myself rather than let her go into care.  But it would have been impossible to create musically at that time, because nursing someone as poorly as my grandmother, as well as having two young children, takes up every moment of the day. So, music waited until after she died in 2023 at which point it became an outlet for me as I adjusted to the big change in our lives when she was no longer with us.  Although my grandmother was in her nineties and had lived a long life, there was that sense of, “wow, life is short so what are you going to do about the thing that’s been niggling you for so long?”
How would you describe your signature sound now?
I love to write over beautiful chords in Melodic and Progressive House. Of course, there are Trance and Pop elements, but the sound is more grown up now, the toplines are more personal and definitely more authentic.  My voice has evolved too, the same tones are there but there’s more light and shade.  There’s better depth to the sound.
In what ways has collaboration influenced your creative process and approach to music?
Collaboration is everything and it helps you to grow creatively and pushes you out of your comfort zone.  It’s always nerve-wracking presenting ideas to another artist, but when they can hear something in your work and develop it to the next level it’s a really exciting process.
Are there any specific themes or messages you hope to convey through your upcoming releases?
The new single ‘STARS’ is about a journey of loss. It was written following the death of my grandmother, but it’s not dark – it’s reflective.  The instrumental is emotive but in an uplifting way.  I think pretty much all of my upcoming collaborations are about personal life experiences, mainly navigating through the highs and lows of significant relationships. I have a lot more to draw from now, I had zero life experience singing Angel City songs at 19 years old.  I have two children now, I’ve dealt with divorce, lost close family members, had children.  Had great times, not so great times… I am a totally different person approaching songwriting now.  It’s also important to me to push the message that it’s never too late to make changes.  Sometimes it seems like there is a mountain to climb to get to reach your goals but it’s the small steps, consistently and purposefully that add up.
How do you approach balancing your signature sound with fresh, modern elements?
Essentially there’s no getting away from the fact that the sound has changed. The vocal remains melodic but in terms of the overall sound, you can’t take a long break like I have, and not come back with a total overhaul. The great thing about returning after an extended break is that the nostalgia element is even more enhanced and everyone loves a bit of nostalgia! It’s about getting the right balance in terms of a nod to the 2000’s with bang up to date production.  It’s been a journey over the last year developing my vocal, to make sure it can sit proudly back in 2025. It’s the small details in the vocal like the way you end your notes, the amount of inflection in your delivery, even these details change with time and trends… sounding familiar but sounding current has definitely been the focus. Even listening to the recording I did at the beginning of last year, I can hear how my voice has found where it wants to be, as working with current producers brings a fresh direction to the way I deliver my vocal.
How do you see your music evolving as you move forward with this new chapter?
I want to focus on being part of the production process from the ground up, as much as I can, work to receive instrumentals from DJs and Producers, I adore the process of starting with some bare chord progressions and developing something from nothing.  So, I hope that will see me evolve in 2025. I think my music will remain somewhat eclectic but I’ll definitely be bringing in more ethereal harmonies wherever I can.
How has the dance music industry changed since your early days, and where do you see it heading next?
Coming back to the music industry has been a shock frankly, as everything is different, from the way labels consider music, the social media influence and of course, how saturated the market is. It’s been a steep learning curve.
With new collaborations and releases on the horizon, what can we expect from Angel City next?
I’ve just collaborated on a really cool House version of ‘Love Me Right’, a little faster than the original with a 2025 House vibe which I am really excited about, this will be out soon, and then some commercial Trance collaborations with the likes of York, Ruben de Ronde and Sonin.  Talking of the nod to previous decades, I really hope that Amy Wiles and I will manage to get our Eurodance inspired track out to the world at long last. ‘Dream Away’ captures the nostalgia of the 90’s and noughties with a really fresh production and it’s had some great feedback on social media. That was actually the first track we wrote when I came back to music so it’s long overdue, but hopefully it will be out there ready for the summer sunshine!
As Lara steps back into the world of Dance music, it’s clear that Angel City’s next chapter isn’t about recreating the past, it’s about building on it. With a new perspective, evolved sound, and a wave of exciting collaborations on the horizon, her return feels both timely and revitalised.
From reimagining ‘Love Me Right’ with a fresh 2025 House twist to working on deeply personal, emotive releases, Angel City is embracing a sound that honours its roots while moving confidently into the future, with plenty for both longtime fans and new listeners to look forward to, and with more music set to drop throughout the year, Angel City’s journey is far from over, it’s just beginning again.

Progressive House at its finest, coming from the industry’s finest too.
Let’s start with what’s important. Cornucopia is back. Let’s continue with the second most important aspect of it all: my best friend and I had been talking about this TWO DAYS before the announcement. So you can be certain he and I were so looking forward to the first Cornucopia release in almost three years.
Guy J is an absolute genius. And even though I’m just getting to know his discography now, I know it’s the right time to do so: it’s a bit of a more developed taste in music, kind of like an IPA beer versus a lager or a flavoured one. And I know I didn’t have the ears to enjoy his stuff years ago, but thanks to my mate (Rama, who I’ve talked about in other articles), Guy has truly grown on me. And his stuff is incredible.
From him closing his iconic imprint Lost & Found to him founding a new label, Early Morning, he’s taken fans on a true rollercoaster these past months. And the level of music he’s been putting out since is elite. Well, back to Cornucopia.
Cornucopia
His alternative alias takes his engulfing, atmospheric side to a whole new level. His main stuff often comes out as somewhat dark these days, not always but there’s a tint of more upbeat, late-night packed nightclub vibe to it. Cornucopia is that, minus the darkness. Cornucopia is an artist who makes of each track a journey and a story.
With impressive attention to detail, Guy’s Cornucopia records care about the little things, often spraying ear candy around, while evolving a simple and minimalistic idea over the course of an entire track. And I’m happy to drive this point home with a very recent piece of evidence: the ‘Remember Me / Early Morning‘ EP.
‘Remember Me / Early Morning‘
Out now via his newly founded Early Morning record label, just now did we find out it owes its name to the second track of this release. The EP finally brings out to the public two highly anticipated tracks, which we’d been hearing for years as IDs at Guy’s shows. Both tracks are a journey, so much so that my only complaint is that each should’ve lasted for twelve minutes, not 7.5.
‘Remember Me’
As a whole, the track has few elements. A rhythmic pattern, which is followed by many of the melodic signals, very warm plucks perhaps supported by a kind of background pad (or maybe just delay), modular gifts all over, frequency plays, and a haunting and inviting whole gets you hooked. That’s all it takes for this man to make an optimal record. Once you finally come down from the trip, the song is almost over.
‘Early Morning’
Good Lord, I gave this track a spin before writing this paragraph, it’s been three minutes and I was lost in the sound until I remembered I had played it to gather inspiration. Well, that sums it up I reckon: ‘Early Morning’ is a track that is cleverly produced over a warm bed of Guy J signature groove and machine-programmed percussion, and its melodic elements truly, truly resemble the sights of that hour where the Sun starts to rise above the horizon and light everything in its cold, yet inviting colours.
Both tracks have that sense of warmth to them, like a sonic hug of some sort. I guess if I couldn’t find the words before, now I can: Cornucopia feels like a hug, a deep, rich, vulnerable conversation with the man behind the art. And me, being a fan of those tracks hiding something apart from just music and lasers and smoke, I could listen to this EP all day long.

In an exciting Instagram post, Anyma and Rezz have teased their highly anticipated collaboration, ‘Entropy‘ during Anyma’s recent Sphere show. Anyma posted a video of his mesmerizing sphere visuals while playing their brand-new track. This debut moment has left fans buzzing and eager for more details about the track and the duo’s creative process.
A New Era of Sound and Visuals
The visuals used to showcase Rezz and Anyma’s ‘Entropy’ involve a cybernetic giant being launched through a dreamscape slowly finding his way into a darker realm. Then, as the giant enters the darker void, the track evolves and you can start to hear the sound of Rezz. A drop entangling both artists’ signature sounds continues to lead the giant through a tunnel until it disappears into thin air. Visuals like this one combined with big tracks like ‘Entropy’ have become more and more common.
Artists like Eric Pyrdz, Anyma, Excision, Ray Volpe, and more have curated their whole set to sync with their visuals more than the average DJ set. Fans, especially at large festivals, will pick to go to a show only for the synchronization and hard work put into the visuals by the artist and their stage team. Eventually, as this pattern continues, having visuals that match the energy of the tracklist will be the norm.
Looking Ahead: What’s Next for Anyma & Rezz
While specifics about the release of ‘Entropy’ are still under wraps, this teaser sets high expectations for what’s to come. Fans will be anticipating more updates. Anyma and Rezz’s debut collaboration will create expectations for them to perform together. As both artists continue to push boundaries in the electronic music visual scene, the collaboration could become one of the most talked-about releases in the genre.
As of now, Rezz already has multiple shows planned for 2025. You can check them out directly on the Rezz website. She is set to play at EDC in May but Anyma’s Sphere shows end tomorrow, March 2nd. After the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, FL, Anyma will return to Europe for the rest of his 2025 shows that are currently on the calendar. Maybe Rezz will make it to the last show at the Sphere or possibly join Anyma at his 2025 Ultra set. Stay tuned.

Tech house titan, Mau P has just released his new track, ‘The Less I Know The Better,’ a groovy and bass-heavy rework of Tame Impala‘s original 2015 release. It features the famous vocals and rhythm and delivers a fresh twist by introducing Mau P’s signature style. Reworking a world-famous track with over 2 billion streams is no easy task. If anyone can do it, Mau P can.
Rocking Out To Mau P And Tame Impala
What’s groovier than listening to the funk and hypnotical voice of Tame Impala infused with Mau P’s powerful sound design and drum programming? not much. Let’s take a listen together. In the beginning, MP gives us the Tame Impala hook for a few seconds before turning it into a tech house drop of vocal chops, funky bass, and crispy drums. Drop after drop, I feel relaxed and ready to dance at the same time. Everything is groovy when ‘The Less I Know The Better’ is coming through the speakers.
Mau P
Coming from the Netherlands, Mau P has quickly grown to be one of the most exciting names in electronic music. Originally known as Maurice West, he made a name for himself in the dance music community with his debut single, ‘Drugs From Amsterdam‘. Which became a global hit, surpassing 200 million plays across streaming platforms. Since then, his career has skyrocketed, with follow-up singles like ‘Gimme That Bounce’ and collaborations with massive artists like Diplo, Calvin Harris, and Swedish House Mafia. In addition to his growing list of chart-topping tracks, Mau P has performed at major festivals worldwide, including Tomorrowland and EDC Las Vegas. Finessed and finely tuned in production, yet rich in rhythm and soul, DJ and producer Cristoph ignites an exchange of house music sensibilities on the dancefloor on new single ‘String Thing’. A leading figure in melodic house, Cristoph drops his first release of 2025 on his Consequence of Society Recordings and alludes to a conceptual album project focused on the musical journey and experience of his open-to-close sets, due to follow later this year.
Cruising in on a seductive groove, ‘String Thing’ is headed straight for the club room. Cristoph’s early infatuation with Chicago house plays a distinctive role through rhythmic beats, enlisting an impressionable vocal loop and vivacious, track-defining strings that speak direct to the mind and body. Alternating from Cristoph’s signature ethereal tones which have earned accolades such as Beatport’s Top Selling Progressive House Artist, ‘String Thing’ is a clear indication of the unbounded mindset the platinum-awarded producer is embracing as he ventures into this next chapter.
Native to the North of England, Cristoph has masterfully built a career worthy of worldwide appeal. Cristoph’s desire to evoke emotion transcends onto the loyal crowds who come to him behind the decks of a dim-lit underground DJ booth, up to global gatherings of an elite scale such as Tomorrowland, Arc Festival and ULTRA Music Festival.
In the studio, he awards his time to honing a meticulous production style, apparent on renowned catalogue releases ‘FEEL,’ EPOCH,’ and ‘Breathe,’ output of the last twelve months highlights of which include ‘Where’s The Music Gone’ with Pete Tong. Ever one to pilot his own narrative.
Cristoph’s life-long ambition to launch his own imprint culminated in Consequence of Society Recordings which serves to do exactly that. Not only a blank canvas for Cristoph to explore his inner curiosities, resulting in diverse sonics like ‘String Thing’ and the looming album, but COS also serves as a meeting-point for wider talent fluent in the breadths of house and techno.

“The People’s DJ“, Le Youth reimagines Lane 8‘s deep house phenomenon featuring Kasablanca, ‘You‘ with a beautiful and uplifting, youth-like energy. Just by reading the names, true house fans know just how good this gets. This remix, one of the first from Lane 8’s Childish album, brings the carefully crafted atmospheres of Lane 8, Kasa’s vocal style, and the breezy melodies of Le Youth together, perfectly.
Let’s Listen To ‘You’ Remixed By Le Youth
Opening up with a firefly-like melody, ‘You’ wanders into echoing vocals howling “I wanna wake up where you are“. Then, it dives into a vocal chop and an unforgettable groove. After reaching a state of bliss, Le Youth breaks down ‘You’ only to give us the vibes all over again. Different vocal melodies deliver us to the 2nd chorus drop made up of beautiful synths and groovy drums. Wrapping up, all the elements are broken down peacefully to leave the listener in awe. If this remix isn’t vibes, I don’t know what is.
Le Youth And Lane 8’s Work Together
Le Youth, also known as Wes, is an electronic music producer and DJ recognized for his upbeat and beautiful house music. His debut album Reminders, released back in 2022, has over 22 million streams. Following suit, his sophomore album ABOUT US continues his fame with millions of plays and features from EMME, Fractures, and more.
Right before this treasure of a remix came out, Lane 8 and Le Youth collaborated on their first single together, ‘I Will Leave a Light On‘ feat. Jyll. Already having millions of plays, it showcases the outcome of two music leaders putting their heads together. Does all this interaction between these two mean we will get more? Hopefully. The space created in their collaborative tracks brings their fans like us together on the dance floor.
You can catch a Childish tour date this year and maybe see Le Youth’s reimagined ‘You’. Here is a link for you to secure tickets.

Here’s an update to a classic that worked flawlessly.
If you were around Dance music 20 years ago (unlike me, who was simply vibing to racing games soundtracks), chances are this song marked you. American duo Deep Dish reigned supreme in the late ’90s and early ’00s, with remixes for Madonna, Janet Jackson, Cher, and many more.
While their remixes launched them to fame — as with many musical acts back then —, their ‘Flashdance‘ cover of the homonymously titled movie’s ‘He’s a Dream’ crept its way up the charts worldwide, and was subject to popular culture, receiving a Grammy-nominated remix by a young David Guetta, and being mashed with Dire Straits’ iconic ‘Money For Nothing’.
Well, celebrating two decades of the track and kicking off a series of Deep Dish remixes to come out during the year, ‘Flashdance’ has received a very interesting groovy touch from one of the veterans of the industry: Shai T.
‘Flashdance (Shai T Remix)’
Imagine a hardcore clubbing track turned Organic House by one of the finest producers out there. Thankfully you don’t need to imagine, for it is here. Author of tracks such as ‘Where The Heart Is’, ‘The Last Dance’, and a killer remix of Sahar Z’s ‘Back In My Arms’, Shai T has been on top of the Organic scene for years on end, portraying a special sound ever since his first releases back in 2010.
Injecting a plethora of tasty percussion and fast-paced arpeggios, Shai was able to turn ‘Flashdance’ into a much more soothing record, apt for the higher energy moments of dayparties under the sun — or the rain. You tell me on that last one: I had the chance to listen to this song from the hands of the man himself, dancing under the pouring tropical rain in my beloved Buenos Aires. And it’s one of the best memories I have of 2024.
Now it’s your chance to make memories to this track, which I strongly recommend you do. Listen to Shai T‘s remix of Deep Dish‘s ‘Flashdance’, by hitting the ‘Play‘ button on the Spotify player below. Anyma has announced his third studio album, The End Of Genesys, scheduled for release on May 23rd.
The announcement came during the finale of the Italian superstar's historic residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, in which he became the record-breaking venue's first-ever electronic headliner. The forthcoming release will effectively complete a trilogy of albums that started with 2023's Genesys and its predecessor the following year, Genesys II.
While details about the album's content remain scarce, the title suggests a conclusion to the narrative and conceptual framework of his immersive Vegas Sphere shows, which have effectively redefined live music in the entertainment capital of the world. The venue's record-breaking, 16K LED wraparound screen envelops the audience in Anyma's surreal, hyperrealistic visuals, like forests pulsating with bioluminescent veins and humanoid figures writhing in unison to the music.
The production is centered on the DJ's android, Eva, who symbolizes the merging of humanity and technology. Its storyline follows her journey through creation and self-awareness, exploring themes of evolution, connection and the pursuit of higher consciousness.
Representatives for Anyma have not yet released information about potential singles preceding the album or featured collaborators on the project. It's worth noting, however, that he's debuted unreleased collaborations with Empire of the Sun, REZZ, Yeat and more during his Sphere run. The album will also likely feature "Hypnotized," a single he released in January alongside Ellie Goulding.

Matteo Milleri, better known as Anyma, is an electronic music pioneer who has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated third record.
Milleri announced that the record with the same name will be available for streaming on May 23rd during the last show of his groundbreaking “The End Of Genesys” residency at Sphere in Las Vegas.
The news completes Anyma’s ambitious “Genesys” trilogy, which began with the successful records “Genesys” (2023) and “Genesys II.” The finale show turned into an unexpected record launch event when stunning visuals announced the date of the release, much to the delight of the thousands of fans who were there.
Anyma has been strategically releasing unreleased music that will probably be on his upcoming record during his historic residency at Sphere. The track “Entropy,” which Anyma made with electronic music artist REZZ, is one of the most anticipated. It shows a darker, more intense side of Anyma’s melodic techno sound.

Milleri also released the song “Work,” which features rapper Yeat. This was a surprising move between genres. By adding hip-hop elements to his signature immersive soundscapes, the partnership shows that Anyma is ready to go beyond the usual limits of electronic music.

Fans also got to hear Anyma’s new take on Dom Dolla’s hit song “Dreaming.” The remix shows how good Milleri is at changing well-known songs and giving them the surreal feel that has become associated with the Anyma project.

When “The End Of Genesys” Album Will Be Released? Anyma’s Third Album, “The End Of Genesys” Will Be Released On May the 23rd.
It was announced at the same time that Milleri finished what has been called “one of the most ambitious electronic music residencies ever undertaken.” The Sphere shows, which combined cutting-edge visuals with Anyma’s melodic techno, changed the way people think about electronic music events. Over 130,000 tickets were sold for all eight shows.
Milleri’s “The End Of Genesys” album is meant to be both the end of his present artistic journey and the start of new ones. In recent interviews, the artist has talked about his interest in quantum computing. This suggests that Anyma’s artistic journey is far from over, even though the Genesys series is coming to an end.
Milleri started the label Afterlife in 2016 with help from Interscope Records. It will be supporting the May 23rd release. In the next few weeks, more details about pre-saves and additional tracks should be made public.

The label's new publishing house, EDM Publishing, enters the market with an impressive catalog of thousands of tracks, spanning from commercial dance-pop to underground techno and trance.
It already features an impressive lineup of established producers, including Klaas, Sickick, Chris Burke and Damon Sharpe as well as top singer-songwriters like Aloe Blacc, Sophie Simmons, Cammie Robinson and Christina Novelli. Collectively, the works represented by the company have generated over one billion streams.
EDM Publishing aims to create expanded opportunities for electronic music artists through sync, licensing and strategic partnership initiatives. Purple Fly Records first gained attention in the EDM space for utilizing cryptocurrency and NFTs to support artists and releases, launching in 2021 with a blockchain-based approach that allowed musicians to monetize their work in innovative ways. The label has since released music by a slew of notable artists in the scene, like Laidback Luke, Gammer, DJ Diesel (Shaquille O'Neal) and the late Fatman Scoop.

If Doechii's "NISSAN ALTIMA" was built for smooth cruising, Whethan's new remix rips off the muffler and takes a detour straight into the underground.
The remix opens with a deceptive simplicity before plunging us into a dubstep drop with thick, viscous bass you can almost feel sticking to your skin. The hip-hop swagger of the Grammy-winning rapper's delivery remains intact, but Whethan drags it into festival territory through his snarling sound design.
What elevates the track, however, is Whethan's deft integration of four-on-the-floor house rhythms without losing an ounce of aggression. Keeping the arrangement unpredictable, these moments provide crucial breathing room, creating a rhythmic dialogue between dubstep's jagged edges and house music's steady pulse.
In other Whethan remixing news, his breakthrough edit of Mssingno's "XE3" recently hit streaming platforms a decade after its release on SoundCloud, bringing one of the platform's early viral electronic hits to a new generation of listeners. The remix helped establish the producer as a rising force in dance music when he was just 15.
