It’s new music Friday and out today is Swedish label boss Jeremy Olander‘s first collaboration in five years, Flashpoints EP with Fahlberg. Now available on all platforms, this thrilling three track collaborative EP marks Vivrant’s first release of 2025.
Flashpoints EP
This EP opens with the title track ‘Flashpoints’ setting the stage for the charming sounds of ‘Outrun’ and ‘For Your Mind’. ‘Flashpoints’ exudes classic Vivrant energy, featuring deep, emotive synth work with evolving layers and tension. Olander’s influence is evident in the refined structure. It is characterized by hypnotic melodies, subtly shifting progressions, and the signature cinematic buildup that teases and releases with precision. His passion for melodic storytelling shines through in this piece. You can sense Fahlberg’s grit in the driving percussion and slightly raw edge. His style often brings a darker, club focused intensity. You hear it in the punchy bassline and the tight, straightforward groove—adding urgency without overwhelming the overall space.
‘Outrun’ feels more introspective and spacious — a hallmark of Jeremy’s deeper side. The pads and atmosphere stretch wide, giving a sense of motion and escape. ‘Outrun’ leans into a more mechanical, driving rhythm — a place where Fahlberg excels. His signature often lies in the slightly more techno-leaning beats. You hear that with crisp hats, syncopated percussion, and a restless momentum that keeps the track alive throughout.
‘For Your Mind’ plays with the cerebral — deep layers, filtered vocal textures, and rhythmic intricacies. Jeremy’s influence is felt in how textured and fluid everything is. Fahlberg injects the track with pulse and punch — the kind that hits right in the middle of a peak time set. The low-end is tight and assertive, and he balances Jeremy’s more ethereal choices with a grounding foundation.
Influences of Jeremy & Fahlberg
Each artist brings their distinctive style, merging Fahlberg’s infectious grooves with Jeremy’s unforgettable melodies to create a bold and innovative musical landscape. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant 90s UK piano house, contemporary melodic house, and classic progressive styles, this project becomes a powerful fusion that reflects their diverse influences from every corner of the dance music world. The result is not just an EP, but an exhilarating journey that invites listeners into a fresh realm of sound.
With its innovative use of playful chopped-up vocals, uplifting trance-inspired extended breaks, and euphoric yet refined drops, each track on this EP stands as a compelling statement in its own right. This collection is not only cohesive but also showcases the brilliance of every individual piece. The Flashpoints EP is a groundbreaking project that exemplifies the duo’s relentless drive to elevate the electronic music genre, boldly defying trends and setting their own path.
Hope you enjoy Flashpoints EP and let us know your thoughts! Stay tuned to EDMTunes for all your new music updates.

While many dance music lovers gathered in Miami last week for the annual Miami Music Week festivities, many spring breakers touched down in Cabo, Mexico for a getaway on the opposite coast. The resort is located on the absolutely stunning Playa El Medano and a stroll away from the fabolous marina, boutiques and dining venues.
When you arrive at the resort, the first thing you notice is the open air view of the pacific ocean and the incredible view of Bahia de Cabo San Lucas. The incredible view allows you to immerse yourself in the vacation vibes. Me Cabo masterfully blends a chic, modern aesthetic with a lively atmosphere, evident in its emphasis on design, art, and music. The moment you step into the lobby, the Aura team will greet you with a glass of champagne as you start your check in process. The lobby interior is open air and exudes elegance, comfort, and luxury which sets the tone for the whole resort experience.
FOOD + BEVERAGES
At the ME Cabo resort, there are 5 restaurants onsite to provide all different kinds of dining experiences. The architectural impossibility of the Vegas Sphere finds its sonic equivalent in "Work," Anyma's new single featuring surging hip-hop phenom Yeat.
The track's recent debut during Anyma's historic residency at the $2.3 billion Sphere marked a significant cultural milestone. Yeat delivered the venue's first-ever rap performance, shattering yet another invisible barrier between techno's underground roots and hip-hop's mainstream cultural dominance.

The accompanying music video presents the duo as silhouettes against a backdrop of frenetic lasers, creating a visual as disorienting and compelling as the music itself. Rocking sinister masks and metallic, monochrome clothing, the duo channels the man-machine aesthetic of Kraftwerk, but reimagined for a more dystopian world.
"Work" will appear on The End Of Genesys, Anyma's third album, which is set to release May 23rd. According to a press release, the album "will complete the score of the Genesys trilogy" and feature recent singles "Hypnotized" (with Ellie Goulding) and "Voices In My Head" (with Argy and Son of Son) alongside new music Anyma premiered live throughout his Sphere residency.
Other collaborations rumored to appear on The End Of Genesys, which is primed to be one of the year's biggest electronic albums, include tracks with Grimes, FKA twigs, 070 Shake and Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun.

The Town of Boom in Belgium is considering a tax increase for the major music festival Tomorrowland. The event that usually happens two weekends during the summer may need to pay more taxes to help the financial shortfall in its hometown.
Economics
Earlier this week, the mayor of Boom announced that the municipality will have to go through staff cuts due to the lack of funds the treasury is dealing with. As of now, 40 employees may be let go. The finance director also explained that they need to make these harsh decisions. Otherwise, by 2027, the local staff won’t get a salary.
The new measures they’re discussing include staff cuts and a tax increase for local events, including Tomorrowland. This may come as a surprise to some. However, the town of Boom is a big supporter of the festival. Most recently, the cabinet signed an agreement that allowed Tomorrowland to take place in Boom for another 66 years. Nevertheless, the town only makes 1,5 Million Euros yearly, while hosting the event.
Other possible measures are outsourcing and reducing the energy bill. Moreover, they’re trying to limit contract extensions and sell municipal buildings that are vacant.
It seems like the festival will not necessarily be affected by the changes in Boom. Regardless, they can definitely allocate some of their focus in helping out the city that’s the home of the festival, and that it will allow it to happen for decades and decades to come.

In just a few short years, Oliver Heldens successfully parlayed his career in mainstream dance music into a much-lauded alter-ego in the techno world as HI-LO, gaining widespread acceptance from the underground scene in the process. Making the most of an era when genre boundaries are less important or distinct than ever and younger generations cast aside the snobbery of old, the name HI-LO is now synonymous with cutting-edge, quality, hard-hitting, innovative techno. Combining a big room sensibility with a dark, underground, raw edge, HI-LO has become a trusted tastemaker, with his tracks receiving massive support from luminaries of the scene.
Today. HI-LO is back with another dancefloor explosion, this time with British singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ: Sarah de Warren. ‘Born to Love’ is pulsating dark and sexy techno heater. As the track begins, the energy immediately intensifies, pulling you into a realm where desire and passion pulse through every beat. The seductive rhythm grips you tight, lingering in your mind long after the last note fades. From the first beat, Sarah’s sultry vocals glide effortlessly over HI-LO’s dark, driving production, crafting a hypnotic soundscape that keeps you hooked. Listen here.
Reflecting on the track’s inspiration, Sarah shared, “I was driving home after a show one night and thinking about how dance music has always felt so natural to me, like part of my DNA. I was making electronic music in my bedroom way before I was old enough to go to a rave or a club. It’s like I was born to make this music and play it for people who feel the same way
that’s why the dance community always feels like family. So, as I was driving, these lyrics just flowed off my tongue, and I voice-noted them and recorded them as soon as I got home. I’d been dying to collaborate with HI-LO, so I sent him the vocal, and he worked his magic. Now we have an absolute banger on our hands.”

Music's symbiosis is peculiar. How can a musician and a listener, both strangers, be tethered so profoundly through an arrangement of sounds?
Elderbrook has touched the lives of millions of listeners over 10 years. He isn’t a paint-by-numbers artist—he writes music meaningful to him. If you feel a kinship with him, his music must mean something to you, too.
The decade has been good to Elderbrook. “Cola” is an enduring generational hit. His collective catalog has been streamed over a billion times. He’s released three albums, collaborated with legends, performed at iconic music festivals and has a Grammy nomination under his belt.
Looking ahead, there’s always another mountain to conquer. But maybe there shouldn’t be.
"I should have some goals, right?" Elderbrook asked EDM.com while reflecting on 10 years of his project and his ongoing "Another Touch" North American tour. “I don’t know if I’ve thought in depth about what it is I want to achieve through music. It’s cathartic and therapeutic for me to make music. I like making music.”
“One important thing I have thought about is that I shouldn’t chase sounds I’ve heard elsewhere. I should make stuff for myself that sounds cool. Because that is what ends up being the best music.”
View the original article to see embedded media.
This enlightenment did not come naturally. It’s an ethos he exercises every day. Truthfully, he has set goals, but they were sometimes the wrong ones. Cliches exist because they often wield some truth, and after 10 years of trial and error, Elderbrook confirms the journey’s splendor is far richer than the destination.
“I’m working on not chasing the next thing,” he said. “The reason I spoke so passionately about it is that it’s something I struggled with: 'I’ll be so happy once I get 100 million views.' Then you get 100 million views and you think, '1 billion would be nice though.'"
“I don’t have anything with 1 billion views, but once I do, I’ll think, ‘It’d be nice to have two songs with a billion views.’ You’ll never reach it. It’s not about not setting goals, but setting goals to make a song that you love. Nothing quantifiable by other people. That shouldn’t matter.”
Roman philosopher Seneca famously said, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” But it’s easy to misinterpret opportunity as luck. Passion and fear are sometimes indistinguishable in a business fueled by dreams and unlikely success.
The music industry’s hamster wheel runs artists into the ground if allowed. The demand to build momentum is so fierce that artists can’t acknowledge burnout until their last enthusiastic ember is stamped out.
Elderbrook’s “Something About You” collaborators, Rudimental, once taught him an important lesson about saying “no.” It’s a teaching he continues to practice in the pursuit of music made for him, not for metrics.
“It’s not realistic when you see all these people online headlining festivals,” Elderbrook says. “You kind of compare yourself with them and feel like you need to say yes to everything, otherwise you’re never going to make it. You think you need to do this every single day. But really, a lot of it is that you need to look after yourself.”
“If you can look after yourself, the next song you make will be 10 times better than if you’re stressed out trying to write an amazing No. 1 song smash hit single. Take your time, say no. Just say no because it’s very easy to say yes to everything. It’s overwhelming. It creeps up on you, and it can end badly.”

Now a father of two, Elderbrook has come a long way from the college student selling hip-hop beats for 200 to 250 pounds sterling. Fortunately for his family, his fiscal maturity has kept pace with his musical and personal evolutions.
“I suddenly had $1,000 in my account for the first time in my life,” Elderbrook recalled of his college days. “I thought, ‘Pfft, yeah. Mr. Big Shot.’ I’m walking down the street. I walked past a thrift store and saw a trombone in the mirror–not the mirror, I’m not a trombone. I saw it in the window and said, ‘Yeah, I’m going to buy that trombone!’ No, it was a trumpet! ‘Yeah, I’m going to buy that trumpet. I bet I’m really good at it.’ It was $500.”
“When my money ran out the next week, I had this trumpet. I was just looking at it. I still have it now. It serves as a reminder not to waste your money on stupid s–t.”
Elderbrook keeps the trumpet as an important symbol of modesty. Unfortunately, that is all it’s good for.
“I still can’t play it,” Eldebrook laughed. “One night, I picked up this trumpet and I could play it immaculately at five in the morning. But every other time I’ve tried, it hasn’t worked for me. It just clicked for me once. That was one time and I don’t think I’ll ever recreate it. But the people who were there can vouch. I nailed it at 5am this one time.”
Who could have witnessed him playing a trumpet at 5M?
“Listen, man,” Elderbrook replies coyly. “I’ve lived a life.”
Elderbrook is currently making his way through North America on tour. He probably won’t play the trumpet, but if his last tour is an indicator, you can expect a sprawling, one-of-a-kind performance with DJing, singing, dancing and live instrumentation.

As both a longtime DJ and a skilled metalsmith, Esteban Joseph is bringing something entirely unique to the electronic music community: intricate, handcrafted USB necklaces.
Sleek, sturdy and unlike anything else on the market, Esteban’s work has quickly gained recognition, turning his small business into a coveted brand. His bespoke designs have caught the attention of John Summit, Diplo, RÜFÜS DU SOL's Jon George and Keinemusik's Rampa, among many others.
They're much more than mere accessories. They are meticulously crafted investment pieces designed to be both functional and visually striking.

Before launching his jewelry business, Joseph was a professional photographer and content creator, working with brands across the globe. While successful, he found himself feeling unfulfilled, he tells EDM.com, and constantly creating for others rather than for himself.
Around that time, he started immersing himself in the electronic dance music scene, attending raves and DJing for fun. The shift in perspective led him to explore metalsmithing by virtue of a course at a community studio in Chicago.
Within two weeks, he knew he had found his true creative path. He spent years refining his craft, investing in equipment and developing pieces for friends before ultimately taking the leap into full-time jewelry design nine years ago.
As a DJ, Joseph noticed how many artists sported basic plastic USB drives around their necks, seeing an opportunity to elevate the look while maintaining the practicality of a DJ's most essential tool. So he began designing USB necklaces that blended functionality with artistic craftsmanship, and the response was immediate.
Esteban Joseph's handcrafted USB necklaces.c/o Esteban Joseph
What started as a personal project soon evolved into a full-fledged business, with DJs worldwide seeking out his unique designs. Joseph has since created hundreds of pieces, each one distinct, reflecting his one-of-a-kind fusion of jewelry and technology. His background as a photographer and filmmaker also allows him to bring an artistic storytelling element to his brand, capturing his pieces in a way that resonates with the dance music community.
"I put everything into each piece I create, knowing that when someone wears it, it becomes a representation of me out in the world," he says.
Joseph approaches his designs with an engineer’s mindset, ensuring that every piece is as functional as it is beautiful. His USBs are stylish but also built to last, crafted using premium materials. He says he prioritizes durability and speed, incorporating high-performance SanDisk Extreme Pro hardware, the same technology trusted by DJs at major festivals.
Many of the drives he uses are water-resistant, shockproof and temperature-proof, with read speeds of up to 400MB per second. He offers a range of storage options, from 256GB and 512GB drives to a 1TB solid-state USB 3.2 drive, ensuring that DJs have the reliability and capacity they need for their sets.

His creative process is as unique as his designs. He offers both custom pieces and ready-to-ship units, allowing for a mix of structure and spontaneity. For custom orders, he collaborates closely with clients to bring their visions to life, with prices starting at $1,000 for silver and $2,000 for gold.
His ready-to-ship pieces often begin with inspiration from a particular gemstone. Rather than sketching or planning extensively, he works intuitively, he says, to let let the materials guide the final design. This approach allows each piece to feel deeply personal and one-of-a-kind.
"This process is creatively satisfying because there are no constraints, allowing me to really connect with the work," he explains. "Making handmade jewelry is an ancient craft, and mastering the alchemy of turning a stone into a finished piece is a deeply rewarding process. Understanding the materials, like how metal reacts to heat and stress, requires patience and a deep connection to the craft."
A slew of major DJs have become fans of Joseph's work, with collaborations forming naturally over time. DJ Tennis was one of his first major supporters, commissioning custom USBs for his Life and Death label and incorporating its distinctive bird aesthetic. Diplo was referred through RÜFÜS DU SOL and actually wore his necklace to Super Bowl LIX, celebrating the win of his hometown Philadelphia Eagles with his USB around his neck. These collaborations have continued to expand, with artists regularly reaching out for new designs.

As his brand continues to grow, Joseph is considering ways to expand while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship that set his pieces apart. While he currently crafts every piece himself, he's exploring the idea of launching a more affordable line that retains the same level of artistry but is more accessible to a wider audience.
He takes pride in creating not just USB necklaces, but also unique bracelets, rings and other jewelry pieces. His goal is to be a one-stop shop for curated style, where someone who buys a USB necklace might also discover the perfect companion piece to complement it.
For now, Joseph remains dedicated to his craft, blending his love for dance music and jewelry into something truly one-of-a-kind. You can find out more at his website.

Some words belong in museum halls, others live on dancefloors. "UNTZ," the latest from Avi Sic and Trentino, firmly plants itself in the latter.
The Chicago-born producers, who cut their teeth in the city's club circuit long before "untz untz" became shorthand for the heartbeat of house music, deliver a track that's equal parts precision and playfulness. Out now via What Ya Need, it's engineered for maximum impact on sweat-drenched dancefloors.
"UNTZ" thrives on momentum, with propulsive basslines and party-starting vocal chops alchemizing through a tension-and-release formula from Trentino and Sic. The synths swell, the percussion snaps and just when the anticipation reaches fever pitch, the drop arrives like a sucker punch of groove-forward bliss.
The collaboration feels like an evolution rather than a repetition, a knowing nod to their Chicago lineage wrapped in festival-ready flair. Trentino's technical precision, honed as a Red Bull 3Style U.S. Champion, meets Sic's ever-growing production house music prowess, resulting in a track that's as club-savvy as it is radio-ready.
And while "UNTZ" is a sonic bullseye, it’s also a harbinger of more to come. With a summer stacked with live dates and a steady stream of releases, both producers are primed for a busy year ahead.

The electronic duo AIGEL reveals the release of their sixth studio album, Killer Qız, on March 28, marking a key milestone in their creative journey. The album’s focus track will be Barsı Da BezdĂ€.
This is the second album by the group recorded entirely in Tatar, exploring themes of loss and rediscovery, death and rebirth, the complexity of human nature, and trust in faith.
At the heart of Killer Qız is a bold narrative: a DJ killer dances until the death of a high-ranking official, then escapes the country with her boyfriend. Figures from Russian society—ranging from “couch troops” to “Rospotrebnadzor employees”—watch their departure, while “the major, the doorman, and the war correspondent” desperately try to cling to the wing of their departing plane. But, as the lyrics declare, “no matter what they do, no one will take them along.” With the speed increasing, the pilot at the controls “plays hardcore.”

Despite the audacious and vibrant energy of some tracks, the album remains deeply personal and introspective. One particularly haunting moment comes in a track where vocalist Aigel Gaisina’s voice is absent; instead, a child’s voice slowly transitions from speaking Tatar to German in real time, capturing the poignant experience of linguistic assimilation. The album concludes with Aigel herself reciting in German, reflecting on the meaning of home—whether it is where one is born or where one is laid to rest.
A surprise addition to the album is a dance track in English, originally written for a short film by renowned clown Vyacheslav Polunin. This nearly wordless song carries the refrain that “life is a comedy,” offering a moment of lightness amidst the album’s weighty themes.
“Since February 2022, we faced a long creative pause—nothing was written, and all words seemed to lose their meaning,” says Aigel. “For three years, we slowly finished pre-war demos and pieced ourselves back together. Emigration intensified the metaphor of searching for new words. Now, Ilya and I live in different countries—Berlin, with its harsh, stylish, and free atmosphere, and rural Montenegro, with its sunny and gentle calm. This contrast has seeped into our music. After a long stagnation, the first language that emerged for me was Tatar—it was like a system reset, returning to my default language.”
One of the last-minute additions to the album, Assimilation, is a near-documentary-style track in which children gradually shift from resisting emigration to fully integrating into a new culture, replacing their native Tatar words with German. The track opens with sounds from the Berlin subway, and only after completion did Aigel realize that the announcer’s voice declares, “the train is heading towards Ruhleben”—a district in Berlin that translates to “peaceful life.” This unintended coincidence perfectly encapsulates the song’s theme.

Ilya Baramiya shares his perspective on the album’s production: “I liked how Baauer described his album Planet’s Mad—drawing from ’90s dance music, inspired by Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, and The Chemical Brothers. These artists didn’t stick to strict genres but focused on creating a unique atmosphere. We’ve taken a similar approach here, incorporating a broader range of influences—from K-pop to hard bass. There’s almost no hip-hop in this album.”
AIGEL, the duo of Tatar poetess and vocalist Aigel Gaisina and St. Petersburg electronic musician Ilya Baramiya, is known for their sharp lyrics and innovative sound in Russian, Tatar, and English. Their hit song Tatarin has amassed over 140 million views on YouTube, while their track You Born won a Silver Lion at the Cannes Lions festival. In 2023, their Tatar-language song Pıyala made history by topping the charts in over 10 countries and reaching the Billboard TikTok chart.
Since 2022, AIGEL has openly spoken against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Their performances in Russia were banned, leading them to leave the country—Aigel now resides in Berlin, while Ilya lives in Montenegro.
