While Los Angeles residents await 10 Years Of Flume at the Kia Forum this Friday, many cities around the world have begun seeing posters pop up teasing something new from the Aussie producer.
The posters read “May 3rd, 2pm PST” alluding to something dropping this Wednesday. On a recent tweet showing Flume holding many laptops, the alternate text reads “aalb 3/5” (remember day and month are swapped in many other countries). Clearly we’re getting something in a couple days but it still remains to be seen what that will be.
Either way, we wait diligently.

Gem & Jam are bridging their unique crossover festival to the Pacific Northwest this fall. Specifically on the autumnal equinox as Cascade Equinox Festival takes over the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Oregon September 22-24. The lineup features over 50 different acts ranging from jam, electronic, funk, soul, and bluegrass. However, if you’re reading this website, there’s only one act that matters. Of course, Cascade Equinox is going to be about so much more than just music. Obviously, there will be camping. As well, there will be art, food, beer and wine tasting, carnival rides, yoga, and much more. Tickets for the festival are still available, there are myriad camping options including renting your camp gear. If you want to splurge there’s also glamping (you can stay in a yurt!). BINGEWATCH continues to impress us not only with his Blind Tiger imprint, but also his music. He’s still flying high off of his previous single “LA TO NY” and now he’s back with a mesmerizing EP, ‘This Is House Music’ out now via Insomniac’s IN/ROTATION.
One neat fact is that this EP was created with his new analog studio set up. As any BINGEWATCH fan knows, he’s a big analog fan and his hardware knowledge is incredible. The title track was inspired by an elegant and sexy spoken-word vocal that lures you into a stunning deep-house groove with classic chords & a bass-line that really sets a mood.
“STAY” was created in a more minimal style to show off the traditional M1 organ pluck paired with melodic vocals. It’s a smoother side of BINGEWATCH’s sound that is simply irresistible. Supported by a bouncing bass line and nostalgic 90s rave vibes, “DANCE WITH ME NOW” is a seductive track, perfect on any dancefloor during sunset.

Singer-songwriter and producer Josh Rubin has teamed up with producers Highlnd and nøll to release the first single “Don’t Want To Feel” off of Josh Rubin’s EP ‘Playing with Fire’ with NCS  that was recently released.
It’s a beautiful single, packed with euphoric melodies vocally and musically. Josh Rubin says “This song is basically me trying to explain to someone why I’ve become so emotionally crippled. I’m very aware of some of the mistakes I often make in a relationship, but sometimes I feel like I’m conditioned to think and act that way based on past heartbreak that it’s almost impossible to break free of it. It sometimes seems easier to just be alone. At some point I became so jaded to the idea of love and romance that I almost felt numb to an extent.”
Speaking to the collaboration, Josh shares “Highlnd and nøll have grown into good friends since we dropped our first record together. Funny how music seems to unite us all. I moved out to LA last summer and they are both here too so it’s great that we can get more in person sessions now. I’m grateful that they helped bring my vision to life with Don’t Want To Feel. They are 2 incredible talents and I know they are destined to do great things. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in NCS, they are at the forefront of dance music from the label side and they couldn’t be more helpful and supportive as I take this next step in my career. I am so grateful to be able to continuously break boundaries with my friend Highlnd and nøll. I’m so excited to share with you the first single Don’t Want To Feel off of my 4 track EP Playing with Fire.”
Highlnd adds “It’s been awesome working with Josh and Alvin on a song for his (Josh) project. I’m proud of the track we made and it always feels so easy and authentic writing with him.”
nøll shares that “‘Don’t Want To Feel” is my second time working with Highlnd and Josh Rubin. They are some of my favorite collaborators. The song came together so quickly; I sent over a folder of chords progressions to Josh and Charlotte and they chose their favorite one. Then all 4 of us got of a zoom call and then finished the song in one day. I worked more on the verses and builds, and Highlnd worked more on the drops so I’m really stoked on how it all came together. Can’t wait to keep building with these guys.'”

Dainjazone has proven to be one of the most traveled, consistent, and relied upon DJs in the country. His ability to read a room and adapt on the fly is like no other. Dainjazone’s wild range of house, hip-hop, pop, and classics, makes sure everybody on the floor and at a table leaves with a great experience. Some of the biggest rooms continue to put their faith and dance floor in Dainjazone’s hands as he maintains residencies at The Grand (Boston), Memoire (Boston), HQ (Atlantic City) and Shrine (Connecticut) just to name a few.
Now, he’s back for his biggest single yet, resurrecting LMFAO’s Redfoo from his 6 year hiatus with their collab single, “Long Live Party Rock“. Redfoo had been regularly passing on opportunities to work with multi-platinum selling artists for over half a decade. After getting a taste of Dainjazone’s demo for “Long Live Party Rock,” he knew this was the ‘one’ and loved the modern dance incorporated that was mixed in with the classic ‘Party Rock’ sound. The rap verses were laid down, bringing an all-too familiar voice back on a track and into the public consciousness.
It’s everything you’d expect – from sizzling synths to a thumping 4 on the floor groove that whisks you back to the days of fist pumping by the pool covered in neon.

Very little apart from perhaps the return of Daft Punk to the live stage will ever be able to compete with what we saw last night at Coachella. In a simply incredible turn of events, Four Tet x Fred again.. x Skrillex, aka Pangbourne House Mafia, ended up closing out the festival on the main stage following a set from blink-182 after last week’s Sunday headliner, Frank Ocean, pulled out.
From start to finish, the three were intent on having as much fun as possible and letting their energy spread from one fan to the next in the crowd, creating an infectious wave of vibes and spirit.
We heard “Ratata” around 3 times? And Four Tet dropped “COUNTRY RIDDIM” by HOL! a stunning four times throughout the set. We can only imagine what the crowd who wasn’t in on the joke was thinking every single time.

Earlier this month, CloZee and LSDREAM announced they have a collaborative album coming out next year, but also shared that they each have their own solo albums coming in 2023. Today, CloZee lifts the veil on Microworlds with the debut title track.
With Microworlds, CloZee explores her escapist mind to take listeners to imaginative, utopian places. Each song acting as a microcosm of sound, time, and space, ‘Microworlds’ follows suit with its inherently transportive nature.
Regarding the track, CloZee said, “‘Microworlds’ is the title track and also the introduction of the album. ‘Microworlds’ is about how humans are so closely related to our vast universe. Humans are little universes themselves. Our eyeball is like a planet, absorbing information, feelings, light and projecting them back. The iris is made of water streams, and our blood vessels are trees and their root systems. Looking into someone’s eyes is like looking at someone else’s world. That is what ‘Microworlds’ is about: stories, people, and memories that shaped my world, but that can also relate and shape someone else’s.”

It’s actually pretty incredible that Rezz and Shadient haven’t released a collaboration until now, but we can finally say the day is here. “Blue In The Face” with fknsyd brings together a group of artists who’ve all occupied the same space for a long time. Shadient has worked with fknsyd, fknsyd has worked with Rezz, and now they’ve all finally combined their powers.
Regarding the track, Rezz said, “I’ve known Shadient since my earliest producer days and we’ve been wanting to collab for a long time but never finished a song, until now and it’s one which will shock both of our audiences in my opinion! It is the epitome of goth, accompanied by Syd’s vocals, which truly solidifies the grungy feel to this track.”
Shadient added, “I’m so excited to be finally putting out music with Rezz. We’ve been really good friends since around the time she broke out in 2014. Ever since then, we’ve been trying to make stuff over the years but never arrived at anything exciting. I’m so glad we settled for nothing less than blue in the face (which is so gas).”
Fkynsyd said, “I have so much love and respect for both Rezz and Shadient. It’s a really playful and organic experience making art with them and I’m happy I could contribute to ‘Blue In The Face’.”
Rezz’s forthcoming EP taps into her darker roots, embracing the edgy, shadowy sounds reminiscent of her childhood love of punk and emo rock. ‘Blue In The Face’ serves as the first taste of the upcoming goth-themed IT’S NOT A PHASE EP.

We’ve got a hot new single from Brazilian superstar, ALOK, and UK house legends, Solardo, “Over Again.” A perfect fusion of the two artists’ styles, “Over Again” is sure to have you moving on the dancefloor. “Over Again” is a perfect blend of brooding synths and upbeat kicks, it’s a personal track, but one that’s still very danceable. The premise of the track is simple: we all meet people who are unsuitable, but despite the hard lessons, we’d do it all over again.
“Working with Solardo on ‘Over Again’ has been a great experience.” ALOK says, “I feel we really blended our sounds together nicely and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!” Solardo adds, “When ALOK approached us about working together we knew we had an amazing opportunity. He is a huge international artist who has reached millions of people with his music. We wanted this track to have an underground DNA in its beats and bass, and the vocals needed to connect with the masses.”

The recent trend of reviving 90s dance classics for the modern day with new pop singers is getting truly tired by now, but we still get some great results every once in a while, especially when it’s done with reverence and respect for the original material. Rita Ora has a strong history of her own in dance music, working with Sigala, Avicii, Clean Bandit, Tiësto, Sigma, DJ Fresh, and more. (It’s actually crazy she hasn’t worked with Calvin Harris yet.) That’s to say, she knows what she’s doing and what the scene is about.
When she originally wrote the first draft of “Praising You” with Romanian producer Serben, it was their dream to flip “Praise You” by Fatboy Slim but they had no idea if it would become a reality.
“Honestly, I had to chase [Fatboy Slim] down 3:00 AM at Glastonbury,” Rita told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1. “I was there at his set. I was ready, waiting. Also a massive fan. But 3:00 AM to talk business is not the right thing to do. It’s a rave of classic. This is a cultural, incredible moment, especially in the nineties. Fatboy Slim’s Praise You was a moment.”
She continued, “And then he turned around and he said, ‘You know what? I’ve heard a lot of people trying to do something like Praise You or take it or flip it. And I’ve held back for so many years and I’m going to give it to you.’ And I was like, ‘Why?’ And he said, ‘Because your perspective is different.'”

Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories 10th Anniversary Edition is officially out in just three weeks, and today the French duo has shared the second “single” from the deluxe edition, “GLBTM (Studio Outtakes).”
GLBTM (Studio Outtakes) is an early and raw version of what will end up as Give Life Back To Music before any production was added to the track. It gives listeners a look at the evolution of the track, and showcases the importance of all elements of the track and how they work together to create the final result.
This work in progress gives an intimate look at the experimentations that are part of this process and at what has been given up and left on the cutting room floor. These outtakes can be viewed as a research record – listeners can hear multiple inspirations and multiple directions of what the song could have evolved into before Daft Punk chose the part to focus on to finalize what we’ve been knowing as Give Life Back To Music for 10 years.
With Random Access Memories 10th Anniversary Edition (which includes 35 minutes of unreleased music across 9 tracks), Daft Punk pulls the curtain back to reveal some intimate moments of the creative process from the making of the pivotal and celebrated 2013 album.

This expanded edition will be available on May 12th in various formats: 3 LPs, 2 CDs, streaming, and download.

Five years ago today, I was at a festival in Florida with little to no cell service when suddenly the screens started showing “RIP Avicii.” It was an odd joke, I thought at the time, but very quickly a murmur started to permeate the crowd. I found my way to the media area with access to WiFi and discovered the terrible truth, that the world had lost Tim Bergling, aka Avicii.
Avicii was such an incredibly powerful force in dance music. His loss has continued to be felt every year since and today on the fifth anniversary of his death, we still celebrate his life and legacy.
Tomorrowland One World Radio, just as an example, is dedicating an entire day of programming to Avicii today. Enjoy it here.

With lyrics that speak to the heart and a sound that captivates the soul, it’s no surprise that “Frames” has become an empowering anthem of inspiration for many.
The song is a personal reflection on Bloom’s struggles with self-doubt during his formative years. He opens up about the regret he feels for not believing in himself earlier in life but also offers hope and encouragement that it’s never too late to start believing in yourself. This message is particularly relevant today, as many people struggle with insecurity and low self-esteem.

Bloom’s lyrics encourage listeners to follow their intuition and make decisions that lead to prosperity. He reminds us that everyone’s journey is unique and that we should embrace our individuality. “Picture frames never fit the whole thing, do they?” he sings, highlighting the fact that we cannot be entirely understood by anyone else.
The production quality of “Frames” is outstanding, with soulful vocals sitting seamlessly on top of spacious reverb-soaked electric guitars. The hypnotic vocal harmonies and adlibs contribute to the song’s depth and keep the audience engaged from start to finish. The driving rhythm of the drums creates a cohesive listening experience, perfectly complementing the rest of the instrumentation.
Chris Bloom’s musical range is impressive, with a sound that has spanned from R&B and hip-hop to pop and acoustic influences.
