Nicky Romero Drops Highly Anticipated Progressive Single, “Chapters”

Nicky Romero has just dropped his highly anticipated new single, “Chapters.” After debuting the song at Tomorrowland last year, and teasing it again at Ultra Miami this year, “Chapters” is finally available for all to enjoy. This is Nicky Romero’s third single of 2023 and it is a soaring progressive house anthem. Featuring echoing sing-along vocals and beautiful synths, “Chapters” is the perfect main stage anthem for the upcoming festival season.
The Dutch icon also just announced his first ever open-to-close show taking place this December in Amsterdam. Nicky Romero Presents Nightvision will take place on December 2 at AFAS Live. Mike Williams Drops Official Update of the Dance Classic “Living on Video”

Dutch DJ/producer Mike Williams is back with a re-imagining of a classic. Mike Williams has finally released his rendition of Trans-X’s 1983 hit “Living on Video” as an official single. Anyone who’s been to a rave knows the melody, a synth horn hitting an iconic riff. Mike Williams himself has been playing out different versions of this tune over the years, as have other DJs. But, now, Williams gives the iconic track a fresh update.
The track opens with that iconic synth horn riff, DTale’s clubby vocals add a nice modern touch. The horn riff makes up the drop and a rumbling bassline dissipates into the background before the iconic horn riff kicks back in.

Manchester EDM Group LZ7 Release Anthem, “Last Night”

Manchester-based EDM group LZ7 is set to release their latest single “Last Night” on November 18th, following the success of their summer anthem “Energy” and their recent festival dates across Europe. Flume releases new album from the archives, “Arrive Anxious, Left Bored”

Earlier this year, Flume exhumed a series of old projects from a laptop he’d found and released Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan, a 10-track album with a mixture of classic Flume sounds and projects that maybe finally got the finishing touches they deserved.
Yesterday, he released the second in the series of “found” tracks called Arrived Anxious, Left Bored. Another 10 tracks, another era of Flume a bit more recent than TDAGTWYP, this time spanning around 2015-2020.

G Jones has announced his second album, PATHS, will be releasing this year, with the first two singles coming tomorrow.
“Daydreams” and “Which Way” will both release tomorrow, May 5, on Spotify, Apple Music, etc.

The Beautiful Blū Explores The Sonic Universe With “Future Blur”

The Beautiful Blū is a brand new musical group made up of Bill Ryder-Jones (who played with the Arctic Monkeys as a session and touring guitarist), two-time Juno Award (equivalent of a Grammy) nominee Mark Kelso on the drums, and David Baron (who has worked extensively with everyone from The Lumineers to Lenny Kravitz to Lana Del Rey), who are exploring electronic music in a very exciting way. Whether it’s the mesmerizing synth patterns or futuristic lyrical content, the group has already begun to stand out from the rest, and they’re just getting started.
Hot on the heels of soaring debut single “One Final Day”, The Beautiful Blū greatly expands its sonic universe with “Future Blur”, an old-school electronic gem that recalls classics such as Afrika Bambaattaa’s “Planet Rock”, Gary Numan’s “Cars” and even carries elements of Devo and Kraftwerk. While Los Angeles residents await 10 Years Of Flume at the Kia Forum this Friday, many cities around the world have begun seeing posters pop up teasing something new from the Aussie producer.
The posters read “May 3rd, 2pm PST” alluding to something dropping this Wednesday. On a recent tweet showing Flume holding many laptops, the alternate text reads “aalb 3/5” (remember day and month are swapped in many other countries). Clearly we’re getting something in a couple days but it still remains to be seen what that will be.

Cascade Equinox Festival Announces Lineup for Inaugural Edition

Gem & Jam are bridging their unique crossover festival to the Pacific Northwest this fall. Specifically on the autumnal equinox as Cascade Equinox Festival takes over the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Oregon September 22-24. The lineup features over 50 different acts ranging from jam, electronic, funk, soul, and bluegrass. However, if you’re reading this website, there’s only one act that matters. Pretty Lights is headlining his first festival after just announcing his return to touring after six years since he last released music.
The rest of the lineup is also stacked! The other topline headliner is venerable jam band Goose. Big Wild and Phantogram will also be bringing their indie-influenced live acts to Cascade Equinox. Of the Trees, Christian Martin and LP Giobbi help round out the dance portion of the lineup.
Of course, Cascade Equinox is going to be about so much more than just music. Obviously, there will be camping. As well, there will be art, food, beer and wine tasting, carnival rides, yoga, and much more. Tickets for the festival are still available, there are myriad camping options including renting your camp gear. If you want to splurge there’s also glamping (you can stay in a yurt!). Josh Rubin, Highlnd and nøll Release Euphoric Single “Don’t Want to Feel”

Singer-songwriter and producer Josh Rubin has teamed up with producers Highlnd and nøll to release the first single “Don’t Want To Feel” off of Josh Rubin’s EP ‘Playing with Fire’ with NCS  that was recently released.
It’s a beautiful single, packed with euphoric melodies vocally and musically. Josh Rubin says “This song is basically me trying to explain to someone why I’ve become so emotionally crippled. I’m very aware of some of the mistakes I often make in a relationship, but sometimes I feel like I’m conditioned to think and act that way based on past heartbreak that it’s almost impossible to break free of it. It sometimes seems easier to just be alone. At some point I became so jaded to the idea of love and romance that I almost felt numb to an extent.”
Speaking to the collaboration, Josh shares “Highlnd and nøll have grown into good friends since we dropped our first record together. Funny how music seems to unite us all. I moved out to LA last summer and they are both here too so it’s great that we can get more in person sessions now. I’m grateful that they helped bring my vision to life with Don’t Want To Feel. They are 2 incredible talents and I know they are destined to do great things. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in NCS, they are at the forefront of dance music from the label side and they couldn’t be more helpful and supportive as I take this next step in my career. I am so grateful to be able to continuously break boundaries with my friend Highlnd and nøll. I’m so excited to share with you the first single Don’t Want To Feel off of my 4 track EP Playing with Fire.”
Highlnd adds “It’s been awesome working with Josh and Alvin on a song for his (Josh) project. I’m proud of the track we made and it always feels so easy and authentic writing with him.”
nøll shares that “‘Don’t Want To Feel” is my second time working with Highlnd and Josh Rubin. They are some of my favorite collaborators. The song came together so quickly; I sent over a folder of chords progressions to Josh and Charlotte and they chose their favorite one. Then all 4 of us got of a zoom call and then finished the song in one day. I worked more on the verses and builds, and Highlnd worked more on the drops so I’m really stoked on how it all came together. Can’t wait to keep building with these guys.'”

Dainjazone Resurrects LMFAO Member Redfoo From 6+ Year Hiatus With “Long Live Party Rock”

After getting a taste of Dainjazone’s demo for “Long Live Party Rock,” he knew this was the ‘one’ and loved the modern dance incorporated that was mixed in with the classic ‘Party Rock’ sound. The rap verses were laid down, bringing an all-too familiar voice back on a track and into the public consciousness.
It’s everything you’d expect – from sizzling synths to a thumping 4 on the floor groove that whisks you back to the days of fist pumping by the pool covered in neon.

Four Tet x Fred again.. x Skrillex deliver historic Coachella headlining set

Very little apart from perhaps the return of Daft Punk to the live stage will ever be able to compete with what we saw last night at Coachella. In a simply incredible turn of events, Four Tet x Fred again.. x Skrillex, aka Pangbourne House Mafia, ended up closing out the festival on the main stage following a set from blink-182 after last week’s Sunday headliner, Frank Ocean, pulled out.
From start to finish, the three were intent on having as much fun as possible and letting their energy spread from one fan to the next in the crowd, creating an infectious wave of vibes and spirit.
We heard “Ratata” around 3 times? And Four Tet dropped “COUNTRY RIDDIM” by HOL! a stunning four times throughout the set. We can only imagine what the crowd who wasn’t in on the joke was thinking every single time.

Matt Barri Unveils Electro Pop Anthem, “I’m In Space When You’re Worlds Apart”

Matt Barri is an artist who has steadily won us over with his mesmerizing talent and raw sound that’s completely unique to him.
