Cassian releases “Where I’m From” on Three Six Zero Recordings. This collaboration goes beyond sound to become a statement of artistic purpose.
“Where I’m From” is Cassian‘s first original song since 2025, but it’s also a statement about his art. The track was made with SCRIPT (also from Afterlife Records) and Belladonna. It’s a tapestry of complicated melodies and cinematic emotion that pulses with an energy that you can almost feel. The music makes spaces within spaces so that listeners can get lost in layers of sound that are both comforting and challenging.
The release comes at a turning point in Cassian’s career. Cassian has shown that he is more than just a producer. He was the music director for Anyma’s groundbreaking End of Genesys residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, which was probably the most technologically advanced concert experience ever made.
Cassian stands out in the crowded world of electronic music because he is both a maker and a curator. Many producers follow trends, but Cassian creates them from the background. He is the key “closer” for big names in the business like RUFUS DU SOL, John Summit, and Anyma.
His engineering skills can be heard all over modern electronic music, from the crystal clear sound that cuts through festival systems to the emotional depth that elevates songs from simple dance music to transcendent experiences. When these artists need their ideas to come to life with unmatched accuracy, they go to Cassian.
This knowledge showed up in new ways at the Sphere. Cassian worked closely with Anyma and didn’t just mix audio elements; he shaped them into a seamless sound journey that went well with the venue’s unmatched visual powers. As direct support for the residency’s last show on March 2, he showed that he could turn technical brilliance into a real emotional link with an audience.
Where engineering and art meet is a cultural crossroads.

Deep in the heart of the Tulum jungle, where ancient Mayan energy lingers, a legendary event is set to make its much-anticipated return. Day Zero, founded by Damian Lazarus, will take place on January 10, 2026, promising an unparalleled fusion of music, mysticism, and nature.
Originally conceived in 2012 to mark the end of the Mayan calendar and the beginning of a new era, Day Zero has since cemented itself as one of the world’s most transformative electronic music experiences. It is more than a festival—it’s an otherworldly adventure where technology, history, and myth merge to transport attendees into an alternate reality.

As darkness falls over the jungle, Day Zero’s visionary production brings a surreal dreamscape to life. Lasers slice through the thick jungle canopy, creating an ethereal glow that bathes ancient landscapes. Alien-like performers appear as if from another time, coexisting with the spirits of the past, while immersive art installations weave narratives that stretch the limits of imagination.

At the heart of this sonic journey is a lineup curated by Damian Lazarus, featuring some of the world’s most forward-thinking live acts and selectors. Each artist is chosen not just for their sound but for their ability to shape the experience, guiding festivalgoers through a night of exploration and transcendence. From pulsating deep house to hypnotic techno, every beat resonates through the jungle, syncing with the rhythm of nature itself.
But Day Zero is more than just music. It is a ritual of rebirth, a celebration of interconnectedness, and an homage to the land that hosts it. By intertwining Mayan culture with futuristic spectacle, the event invites attendees to step outside of time, to dance beneath the stars, and to lose themselves in the magic of the moment.

A phoenix is rising from the ashes in the middle of East Williamsburg, where stone and art meet. For the past ten years, the Brooklyn Mirage has been the center of New York City‘s nightlife. Now, it is going through its biggest change yet. Not happy with just fixing things up, the famous cultural institution is starting from scratch and planning to open what could be the world’s most technologically advanced and interactive music venue.
The Brooklyn Mirage has behaved like a magical creature since the beginning. It goes away in the winter and comes back in the spring, changing with each birth. But this year’s change goes beyond normal refresh. The change has begun. When the gates open on May 1, 2025, they will show not only a better venue, but also a completely new sanctuary where technology, sustainability, and musical expression come together in ways that have never been seen before.
Josh Wyatt, CEO of Avant Gardner, says:
Architectural Marvel Meets Environmental Consciousness

The new building is 65 feet tall and almost 200 feet long and 164 feet wide. It is one of the biggest heavy timber constructions in American entertainment design. Most venues this size are made of steel or metal, but The Brooklyn Mirage is environmentally friendly because it is made of advanced pre-manufactured and CNC-cut timber. This is an engineering feat that shows care for the environment and accuracy.
The building itself makes a statement: big entertainment venues don’t have to give up ecology for showmanship. This new way of building sets a new standard for how venues can work with growing environmental worries while also pushing the limits of what’s possible in modern event space design.
What really makes the new Brooklyn Mirage stand out, though, is the way it changes the way people see things. The main LED wall of the venue has changed into something they’re calling “Mirage 4.0.” It has the largest fully moving shutter system ever seen in a live music venue.
When these doors are closed, they look like they belong to older versions of the venue. When they are opened, though, they show a stunning 270-degree virtual world made by LED screens with more than 100 million pixels and 30K resolution. It’s a sight that’s better than some of the world’s biggest music events.
The audio
Along with this visual change, an audio experience was created to match its goals. An L-Acoustics sound system, which is the best for festivals and nightclubs, was carefully designed to fit the area. Whether you’re right next to the stage or walking around the edges of the venue, the sound is perfectly balanced and immerses you thanks to over 100 precisely tuned speakers and subwoofers placed all over.
The performance area is an impressive 90 feet wide, and the roof can hold up to 400,000 pounds of rigging, which lets shows happen that are usually only possible in theaters and stadiums. This place is made to hold both world-class DJ sets and full-on shows that would normally need much bigger rooms. It’s taking production levels from an arena to a small space where everyone can feel like they’re in the front row.
Changing the way people dance
For longtime Mirage fans, the venue’s new way of designing space might be the most exciting thing about it. Designers have put up opera-style towers above the dance floor as a nod to the grandeur of opera. There are clear views from these elevated areas, and there is plenty of room to dance or just relax. They also come with custom hospitality items.
This vertical growth does two good things: it creates better experiences for people who want a higher view, and it makes more room on the main dance floor below. As a result, the space feels both smaller and bigger, and no matter where you are, connecting with the music is still the most important thing.
The 2025 season: the artists
With the rebirth comes an ambitious list that fits with the venue’s philosophy of pushing the limits. Over 100 shows have already been confirmed for the first season, featuring artists such as Sara Landry, Alesso, The Martinez Brothers, Peggy Gou, Cloonee, Anjunadeep, Artbat, Cityfox, Elrow, Amelie Lens, Boiler Room, Sammy Virji, Excision, Rezz, Gryffin, Subtronics, Francis Mercier, Nora En Pure, Galantis, The Chainsmokers, A.G. Cook, James Hype, All Day I Dream, Underworld, and Empire of the Sun. There will be many more big announcements soon.
This programming isn’t just about electronic music; it’s about a wider cultural fabric that includes artists who push the limits of different performance styles and genres. It’s an announcement: The Brooklyn Mirage wants to be more than just a venue; it wants to be a culture center where the newest musical ideas are shown in the best way.
The cultural impact
This revival comes at a very important time for New York City’s nightlife. As the city continues to change after the pandemic, cultural places are facing problems and chances that have never been seen before. The bold redesign of the Brooklyn Mirage is a statement of faith in the power of shared experiences and the future of live entertainment.
As New York City’s culture changes, The Brooklyn Mirage is both a safe place to go and a place where the next ten years of nightlife are being openly imagined and brought to vivid, electric life.
When does the new Brooklyn Mirage open?
The completely reimagined Brooklyn Mirage opens its doors on May 1, 2025, launching its most ambitious season yet with over 100 shows already confirmed.
How is the new Brooklyn Mirage different from the previous venue?
The new venue features a revolutionary 270-degree LED environment with a fully kinetic shutter system, sustainable heavy timber construction, opera-style balconies, an expanded dance floor, and a custom L-Acoustics sound system with over 100 precision-calibrated speakers.
What artists will be performing at the new Brooklyn Mirage?
The 2025 season includes performances from artists like Sara Landry, Alesso, The Martinez Brothers, Peggy Gou, Cloonee, Anjunadeep, Artbat, Excision, Rezz, Galantis, The Chainsmokers, Underworld, Empire of the Sun, and many more to be announced.
Where is the Brooklyn Mirage located?
The Brooklyn Mirage is located in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as part of the Avant Gardner complex that occupies an entire city block.
How big is the new Brooklyn Mirage?
The structure measures 197 feet by 164 feet and stands 65 feet high, featuring a 90-foot-wide performance area and a 400,000-pound roof rigging capacity for productions typically seen only in arenas.
Is the new Brooklyn Mirage environmentally friendly?
Yes, the venue features one of the largest heavy timber builds of its kind in the USA, using sustainable materials and advanced prefabrication techniques instead of conventional steel or aluminum construction.
What makes the Brooklyn Mirage’s technology special?
The venue features the world’s first fully kinetic shutter system of this scale in a live music venue, creating a hyper-realistic 270-degree virtual environment with LED screens featuring 30K resolution, 100 million pixels and over 3,000 tiles—exceeding the visual capabilities of many major music festivals.
How can I get tickets to events at the Brooklyn Mirage?
Tickets and the latest event updates are available at Avant-Gardner.com.

On March 11th, GRiZ shook the hearts of EDM lovers when he posted a video on social media titled “WE ARE SO BACK!” This is a pivotal moment because he announced in June 2023 that he would be taking time off from touring and his music career to nurture his relationship with himself, his family, and his friends. At the beginning of October, GRiZ played his last show and then posted on October 7th, 2023, “Time to sign off for a while.” That was the last time anyone has seen or heard from the space captain himself.
In this video, GRiZ parks a tractor in a quiet field as he begins to stack bales of hay. Is this possibly an inkling of a new hobby he picked up during his time away? Could he have been training his mind, body, and spirit on a farm while in the stillness of nature? Who knows. But as he’s stacking hay, music begins to build to the moment where he catches his breath. Reaching for a pair of vintage over-ear headphones around his neck. The moment they cover his ears the music, what we expect is one of his new songs, begins to bump.
Suddenly, this working man feels the rhythm and starts the tractor, throws it in drive, and punches the gas to every beat of the build-up. Ripping the tractor through the field while head-banging. The track emits funky, space bass music that we all knew and loved GRiZ for. It’s his trademark sound, and hearing this has returned hope to our hearts. The video ends with him saying, “Back to work,” and the dates 10/10/25-10/12/25.
There has been zero explanation about what the dates are for. Could it be his first performance back? Could it be a festival he is hosting for three days? Everyone is eager to find out. You can click the link in his bio to sign up for text updates on what is soon to come. But with a little research, I have found there is a Seven Stars General Store Grand Opening event happening on those dates. The website looks normal, but the more you look, the more GRiZ vibes you find. GRIZ’s return event will be on October 10. You can watch the fun video below.

On March 7, Japanese electronic artist SHIMA unveiled her latest single, ‘1807’, available through Young Art Records. To summarize, this mesmerizing track transcends the ordinary, offering listeners a dynamic experience that expertly intertwines SHIMA’s rich Japanese heritage with her innovative melodic electronica. With its enchanting flutes, atmospheric synths, and driving percussion, ‘1807’ artfully incorporates a sampled Japanese folk song, creating a seamless fusion of diverse musical influences. This piece not only highlights SHIMA’s extraordinary depth as an artist but also celebrates the vibrant clash of cultures that will resonate throughout her ever-evolving discography.
SHIMA elevates melodic-driven soundscapes in ‘1807’
Having been born and raised in Tokyo, SHIMA transitioned from a J-Pop girl group singer to an electrifying solo artist. In fact, her musical journey began at the age of 14 when she signed with a prominent Japanese label, and her passion has since taken her across the globe. At 18, SHIMA relocated to the United States to pursue a degree in Music and Computer Engineering at the University of Miami, where she honed her production and engineering skills.
As a result, this diverse experience informs her signature sound, which explores a captivating blend of electronica genres, including indie, trap, house, and techno. Currently implementing herself in Los Angeles, SHIMA will continue soaring in 2025, with thrilling performances lined up at Miami Music Week, Coachella DoLaB, Breakaway, and Electric Forest, as well as exciting new releases on the way. Finally, click ‘Play’ on the Spotify link below to stream ‘1807’ from SHIMA, a track that beautifully connects traditional Japanese folk music with modern melodies that emphasizes in-depth rhythms and sonic ambience.
The background behind the track
“‘1807’ samples a Japanese folk song that used to be sung by fishermen in the Hokkaido region of Japan, while they worked on their sailboats to catch cod fish. The regional dialect is unfortunately part of a shrinking culture that people are increasingly starting to realize the importance of preserving and keeping alive in the public consciousness. By combining this folk song with totally new influences and modern synth leads, I hope that in my own small way I can also contribute to keeping these cultures and traditions alive and evolving.”
Upcoming tour dates

The release of Martin Garrix’s collaboration with Arijit Singh, ‘Angels For Each Other’ has seen the debut of Garrix providing vocals for one of his songs. He has already garnered a lot of praise for his impressive performance which seemingly came out of the blue, but he’s not the first EDM artist to also be a vocalist.
Drew Taggart (The Chainsmokers)
There are actually several tracks that Drew Taggart has provided vocals on and all of them have been huge. His vocal debut came on ‘Closer’ alongside renowned singer Halsey. Not only was it a big song, but it is in fact The Chainsmokers most streamed song of all time having over 3 billion streams on Spotify. Along with that it won Top Collaboration and Top Dance/Electronic Song at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. He also provided vocals on another billion-stream breaker with ‘Paris’ as well as the excellent ‘All We Know’ where his vocals blend beautifully with Phoebe Ryan’s. Having had so much success in front of the mic it’s likely that we could yet hear more from him on future chart toppers.
Avicii
Avicii’s musical talents were vast and impressive, however he was never known for being a singer. There’s only one track that you can find his vocals on which is ‘True Believer’ where it’s quite hard to recognise his voice due to the editing done on the vocals. Avicii sings on the verses of the track where his vocals are pitched up, but if you take the song and pitch it down 2 semitones then you’ll hear him clear as day. The vocals in the chorus are provided by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin who was originally supposed to sing the whole track. When he read the lyrics though he said that he felt they were too personal, and suggested Avicii should do them himself leading to his only vocal credit in his entire career.
Mau P
Maurits Westveen has found great success since moving on from his Maurice West pseudonym to being Mau P. This shift has seen him majorly change his musical style as well as leading to him putting his vocals into a track for the first time in ‘On Again.’ His voice fits the track perfectly as his vocals take centre stage and the acapella has since been put into numerous mashups. The track quickly became a fan favourite and is a regular staple of his DJ sets having become one of his biggest records to date.
Porter Robinson
Porter Robinson made his first vocal appearance back in 2014 on the iconic ‘Sad Machines’ where he sang alongside the Vocaloid synthesized voice of Avanna. It wasn’t till 7 years later that his vocals really had their moment in the sun on his second studio album ‘Nurture’ where he was the sole vocalist. Across the album it sounds like a variety of vocalists are featured though it is in fact all Porter Robinson’s voice edited in different ways. His editing of the vocals is masterful along with his voice being genuinely amazing and being a highlight of ‘Nurture.’ He incorporates his singing into his live sets as well which is always a welcome addition as he has a real talent for it.
Like Mike
Featured alongside Ne-Yo, Like Mike provides vocals on the 2015 smash hit ‘Higher Place’ where his voice can be heard during the chorus’. His relaxed, laidback voice matches the energy of the song excellently while providing an interesting contrast to Ne-Yo’s sections. ‘Higher Place’ earned Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike their first ever number 1 in the United States as it reached the top of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. It also went to number in their home country of Belgium where it went platinum.

After a software bug caused a massive outage affecting several Chromecast device types, Google recognized the issue and informed users that they were working to resolve it. The outage has prevented many users from using their devices.
Chromecast Outage
Google advised that pressing reset on the device, could get you locked out of your devices. The company did not specify the exact cause of the problem. Nevertheless, it displays an “untrusted device error” notice on older Chromecast models, including the Chromecast 2015 model and Chromecast Audio. Sometime ago, Google stopped sales of its Chromecast with Google TV, following the launch of the Google TV Streamer last year. Moreover, the streamer sells for around a hundred bucks.
Second Generation Chromecast devices stopped working March 9th. However, Google still hasn’t provided a timeframe for fixing the problem. Speculation surrounding the cause of the outage include an expired device authentication certificate authority, but Google has not confirmed any potential causes yet.
Recently, Google emailed users to express their awareness of the situation but have not offered a solution yet. After all, fixing the outage could take weeks, according to former Meta software engineer Tom Hebb. Chromecast is a media device, similar to Roku or Firesticks, that provides access to different apps and streaming platforms into your TV.
Expired Device Authentication Certificate Authority
The affected devices’ intermediate authority’s 10-year validity expired on March 9, 2025. This means, they can’t be used by today’s apps to complete the cryptographic process. Softwares used to analyze the chain of trust will reject the whole device. Hence, folks are seeing error messages about their Chromecast being an “untrusted” device.
It seems that the only ways to fix this for all users of second generation Chromecast devices are either hack the systems to fix the certificates, or replace all devices for updated ones.

Terminal V returns to Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre on April 19-20, bringing an international lineup of techno’s biggest names. This year, the festival is making a major move to support homegrown talent by introducing The Secret Stage, a space dedicated to showcasing Scotland’s emerging DJs. Over 30 rising artists will perform across both days, putting them at the heart of one of the UK’s leading electronic music events.
A Platform for Scotland’s Electronic Music Scene
For the first time, Terminal V is giving a dedicated stage to local talent, reinforcing its commitment to developing Scotland’s underground scene. The 150-capacity Secret Stage will provide an intimate setting where festival goers can discover artists breaking through the ranks. Performers include Brad Herbert, Case, Chromatic, Eva, James McArthur, Jardine, Jenn Gunn, Ryan Untitled, and TLO, along with many more who have been making an impact in clubs across the country.
While Scotland has produced internationally recognized DJs, opportunities to perform at large-scale events are often limited. By creating this platform, Terminal V ensures that rising artists share the spotlight alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music. The festival’s four main stages will feature an extensive lineup, including 999999999, Adrián Mills, ALT8, Azyr, Cloudy, Deborah De Luca, Funk Tribu, Kettama, Blawan x Helena Hauff, Charlie Sparks x Parfait Clouds, Dax J, Fish56Octagon, and Patrick Mason.
A Festival Expanding Its Vision
Terminal V continues to evolve with new additions that enhance the festival experience. The Hangar Stage has undergone a transformation, now operating as a 6,000-capacity, 360-degree setup where the crowd can surround the DJs for a closer connection between artists and fans.
Another first for this year is the introduction of a stage hosted by FACE2FACE, a European techno brand known for its back-to-back sets that put artists directly in front of each other, pushing them to interact and challenge each other’s sound in real time. These new stage concepts will sit alongside The Terminal and The Greenhouse, maintaining Terminal V’s reputation as one of the most forward-thinking festivals in the UK’s electronic music landscape.
Homegrown Artists Across Every Stage
Beyond The Secret Stage, Scottish artists will also take on key slots across the festival’s main stages. Names like Jude Bradshaw, Celeste, Dominique, DV60, Lazlo, DJ Susie, and Gallo will be setting the tone before the international headliners take over. This mix of local and global talent reinforces the festival’s aim of celebrating both established icons and those making an impact closer to home. With just over a month to go, anticipation is growing for what is set to be another landmark edition of Terminal V. The introduction of The Secret Stage is a step toward creating more opportunities for Scottish artists within the festival circuit, ensuring that the country’s electronic music scene continues to thrive.

Fast-rising talent Inox Traxx just released a second EP on Charlotte de Witte’s RPM by KNTXT label, a dynamic 5-tracker entitled ‘Free,’ out now, after last year’s gem, ‘In My Darkness.’
In just a few years, the Berlin-based producer has won tastemaker support releasing her propulsive, crystal-sharp techno and hypnotizing dancefloors at KNTXT’s London and Ghent shows, as well as renowned venues and events such as Berghain, Awakenings, Intercell Events, and HÖR sets.
The EP opens with ‘Difference,’ driven by a pounding drum and fluttering, clattering industrial percussion with Doppler FX. A deep, dark vocal motif alternates with a high, abstract vocal melody in this positive, powerful production. ‘No Leaving’ has fast, resonant beats and hissing percussion, with assertive but soulful echoing vocal strands, compulsively danceable.
Title track ‘Free’ combines breaksy beats with an upbeat feel, earthed by growling bass; more of a song, with breathy, high vocals, the whole composition flowing and bubbling like river water. ‘Artefacts’ has pulsing, rattling beats and melodic vocal FX, the wild momentum pierced by a moment of silence, while ‘Warp’ creates a compelling alien soundscape with complex bursts of jerky percussion with slicing, slamming SFX, all redolent of machinery, as chopped, blurred vocals call like radio waves across light years of space.
Inox Traxx ‘Free’ EP is out now on RPM by KNTXT.

Just one day before its 13th anniversary, Alesso and Ryan Tedder have come together to reveal a sequel to their iconic EDM track, "Calling (Lose My Mind)."
Released in 2012 by Alesso, Tedder and Swedish House Mafia's Sebastian Ingrosso, "Calling (Lose My Mind)" is now widely considered a generational dance anthem. Coupled with Tedder's soaring vocals, the track’s euphoric progressive house melodies defined an era of festival anthems and became a staple during what many consider the "golden age" of electronic dance music.
After topping Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart at the time, the song solidified Alesso and Ingrosso's reputation as masters of emotive, high-energy dance music. It is still played at major festivals all over the world today.
Alesso and Tedder took to Instagram this week to tease a follow-up, with the latter remarking that their reunion is "long overdue." They previously teased a sequel in the works back in February 2023, but fans have more reason to believe it's imminent this time around.
The superstar Swedish DJ and OneRepublic frontman have also collaborated to release 2013's "If I Lose Myself (Alesso Remix)," another iconic EDM record; and "Scars," which dropped in 2015.
With the demand for nostalgia-fueled revivals growing across the industry, fans are eager to see how Alesso and Tedder will reimagine their beloved classic. It's important to note, however, that they have not formally announced a track at the time of this writing. It's also unclear at this time whether or not Ingrosso is involved.

The Brooklyn Mirage, New York City’s premier open-air music venue, is marking its 10th anniversary with a complete transformation that redefines the boundaries of live music experiences. Set to reopen on May 1, 2025, the venue has been reimagined from the ground up, merging cutting-edge technology with sustainable design to create what many are calling an “electronic opera house.”
A New Era for New York Nightlife
Since its inception, The Brooklyn Mirage has been at the forefront of New York’s nightlife scene, consistently pushing the envelope of what’s possible in a live music venue. True to its name, the venue typically disappears each winter, only to return in spring with new innovations. This year’s transformation, however, is unlike anything seen before.
“The Brooklyn Mirage has always been a place to dance, to lose oneself in moments of pure, electrifying energy,” said Josh Wyatt, CEO of Avant Gardner. “When we decided to rebuild the venue from the ground up, we aimed to honor its legacy while expanding the dance floor, creating immersive side-quest spaces, and pushing the boundaries of music, art, and technology.”
Groundbreaking Visual Technology
The most striking feature of the redesigned venue is its revolutionary visual system. The new Brooklyn Mirage features the world’s first fully kinetic shutter system of this scale in a live music venue. When open, this system reveals a hyper-realistic 270-degree virtual environment created by LED screens with a combined 30K resolution, displaying an astonishing 100 million pixels across over 3,000 tiles.
This visual spectacle exceeds the size, density, and scale of visual experiences found at some of the world’s largest music festivals. The dynamic system allows for unlimited configurations, ensuring that each show offers a unique visual experience.
Unparalleled Sound Experience
Complementing the revolutionary visual system is an all-new, custom-built L-Acoustics sound system – the industry leader in festival and nightclub audio. Over 100 precision-calibrated speakers and subwoofers are strategically placed throughout the venue, ensuring perfectly balanced sound regardless of where guests are positioned.
This commitment to audio excellence ensures that The Brooklyn Mirage continues to offer one of the most immersive sonic experiences in the global nightlife scene.
Architectural Innovation Meets Sustainability
The redesigned venue showcases a monumental heavy timber structure, measuring 197 feet by 164 feet and soaring 65 feet high – making it among the largest timber builds of its kind in the USA. This sustainable approach stands in contrast to conventional large-scale event structures, which typically rely on steel or aluminum.
The structure is fully pre-manufactured and CNC-cut with the latest addition technology, demonstrating how advanced prefabrication techniques can push the limits of contemporary event space design while prioritizing environmental responsibility.
Reimagined Performance Spaces
Artists will now have access to a 90-foot-wide performance area with an industry-leading 400,000-pound roof rigging capacity, empowering them to bring their most visionary performances to life. The venue has been engineered to accommodate performances of any type and genre, from world-class DJ sets to intimate live concerts featuring artists typically seen only in arenas and stadiums.
For attendees seeking an elevated experience, the venue now features opera-style mezzanine loges above the dance floor, offering unobstructed sight lines, ample room to dance or relax, and bespoke hospitality amenities. This design choice not only enhances the premium experience but also frees up additional space on the main dance floor.
Enhanced Guest Experience & Safety
The Brooklyn Mirage has made significant infrastructure investments both inside and outside the venue to ensure a seamless experience from arrival to departure. New lighting, signage, rideshare drop-off zones, and cell service enhancements will improve guest navigation and connectivity.
Additionally, the venue has enhanced its team of trained guest ambassadors, expanded private security patrols, and increased first responder-trained staff to enhance safety and overall guest experience.
New Media Art Program
Beyond its technological and architectural innovations, The Brooklyn Mirage is launching a New Media Art Program. This initiative will invite internationally renowned and emerging multidisciplinary artists, including local creative community members—to showcase their works on-site, further cementing the venue’s status as a cultural hub.
Star-Studded 2025 Season
With over 100 shows already confirmed for 2025, the season kicks off on May 1 with an impressive lineup featuring electronic music heavyweights such as Sara Landry, Alesso, The Martinez Brothers, Peggy Gou, Cloonee, Anjunadeep, Artbat, Cityfox, Elrow, Amelie Lens, Boiler Room, Rezz, Gryffin, Subtronics, Francis Mercier, Nora En Pure, Galantis, The Chainsmokers, A.G. Cook, James Hype, All Day I Dream, Underworld, and Empire of the Sun, with many more major announcements still to come.
A Global Nightlife Destination
Avant Gardner, the parent company of The Brooklyn Mirage, continues to solidify its position as New York City’s premier entertainment destination. Spanning an 80,000-square-foot complex that occupies an entire city block in East Williamsburg, Avant Gardner has been voted North America’s “Best Large Club” in 2022 and 2023 and ranked in the Top 10 globally by DJ Mag.
The venue has hosted sold-out performances by top global acts, including Rüfüs Du Sol, Glass Animals, Afterlife, Keinemusik, John Summit, Black Coffee, Fisher, Drake, David Guetta, Reneé Rapp, Rina Sawayama, SOFI TUKKER, Tainy, and Tiësto.

One of New York's most popular electronic music venues, Brooklyn Mirage, has reinvented itself multiple times over the past decade. Its latest transformation, revealed today, is its most ambitious redesign yet.
"The Brooklyn Mirage has always been a place to dance, to lose oneself in moments of pure, electrifying energy,” said Josh Wyatt, who took over as CEO of Avant Gardner last fall. "When we decided to rebuild the venue from the ground up, we aimed to honor its legacy while expanding the dancefloor, creating immersive side-quest spaces, and pushing the boundaries of music, art and technology.”
Brooklyn Mirage’s signature, sprawling LED wall is undergoing a major transformation. Its span has been extended to envelop even more of the venue's dancefloor, resulting in 270° of virtual immersion powered by 100 million pixels and over 3,000 tiles with a combined 30K resolution.
Brooklyn Mirage
Despite its extension, the LED wall won’t be a permanent fixture for shows at Brooklyn Mirage. A fully kinetic shutter system—the first of its kind at this scale in a live music venue—will control the wall’s visibility. With the shutters drawn, the venue harkens back to the early years of Brooklyn Mirage, a time when the venue had no screens at all.
Shuttering the video wall isn’t just a nostalgic sentiment though. It’s an architectural innovation that means the venue can dynamically transform from show to show.
With a 90-foot wide stage area and an industry-leading 400,000-pound roof rigging capacity, artists will have unparalleled creative control of the production elements and visual identity of their performances. The space can shift from an arena-style show to a stripped-down, intimate concert, offering a level of flexibility rarely seen in nightlife.
"The New Mirage will be everything fans worldwide love about this space—while delivering a completely new, mind-blowing sensory experience," Wyatt says. "New York City deserves a venue that evolves with the culture, and that’s exactly what we’re creating."
Accompanying the visual overhaul, Brooklyn Mirage has revamped its sound setup with a custom-built system from L-Acoustics, an industry-leading audio solutions company that powers the sound of some of the world’s biggest music festivals, like Tomorrowland and Ultra. Over 100 precision-calibrated speakers and subwoofers will be strategically placed throughout the venue, which means the sound should be crisp and balanced whether you’re raging on the rails or hanging at the back.
Inspired by operatic grandeur, the dancefloor itself is undergoing a makeover as well. With an expansion of over 40 feet and removal of production elements and columns, the floor will have more space, improved crowd-flow and better sight-lines to the stage.
New loges, balconies and mezzanines have also been constructed, morphing the Mirage into an electronic opera house. The second and third mezzanine levels will be open to all attendees but the elevated loges lining the sides of the dancefloor will be used for VIP and table service during some shows.
In a pioneering effort of sustainability, the event space is built with heavy timber instead of steel or aluminum. Measuring 197 by 164 feet and soaring 65 feet high, the new Brooklyn Mirage is one of the largest timber builds of its kind in the US.
An artist's rendering of the Brooklyn Mirage
These visual, sound and architectural overhauls will be accompanied by an array of cultural, logistical and operational improvements as well. "This is not just an upgrade—it’s a rebirth," Wyatt says.
With over 100 shows already on the calendar, Brooklyn Mirage kicks off its 2025 season on May 1st. Alesso, Peggy Gou, Underworld, Empire of the Sun and The Chainsmokers are set to perform this year, among others.
You can find out more via the venue's website.
