Hï Ibiza Announces 2024 Closing Party With Keinemusik

Influential underground label and artist collective Keinemusik are to take over the entirety of Hï Ibiza for the venue’s always unmissable closing party on 12 October.
With more than 120 events scheduled this summer, including the Official Opening Party on Saturday 27 April, this will be Hï Ibiza’s longest and biggest season to date. The now legendary multi-room venue is set to present a peerless weekly rotation of the electronic scene’s most in-demand talents, including Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, David Guetta, Eric Prydz, FISHER, Glitterbox, James Hype, Meduza, Paco Osuna, Patrick Topping, Tale Of Us Present Afterlife, The Martinez Brothers and Vintage Culture.

To bring the 2024 season to it’s grand finale, Hï Ibiza’s official closing party will see the Keinemusik crew curating music across the entire venue at the World’s #1 Club, as they are joined by a selection of genre-leading artists for what is set to be one of the biggest draws of the season.
The Berlin trio of &ME, Adam Port and Rampa are known for setting the agenda for underground electronic music with their innovative DJ sets, label releases and productions. Their distinctive style, coupled with their wide-ranging influences, has seen the pioneering collective captivate dancefloors all around the world, building an ever-growing global community of followers.

Keinemusik’s long-standing relationship with Hï Ibiza has also seen them perform at some of the venue’s standout parties, including last year’s unforgettable Black Coffee closing party, where they served up another scintillating set.  This year, they have been given full curatorial control of Hï Ibiza’s annual closing party and will program a cultured section of sounds across all three dancefloors, namely the Theatre, Club Room, and Wild Corner.
This multi-room experience will offer a deep dive into all aspects of Keinemusik’s musical DNA and allow dancers a unique and unrivalled journey through their sound. John Summit Fends Off Haters After NY Pride Show Announced

You can’t mess with the inclusive bender king himself John Summit. Daddy Summit took on social media to announce that he will headline Dreamland’s Pride in Central Park on June 30th. Shortly after the news Daddy Summit reflected on losing hundreds of followers. However, He reiterated his support for the LGBTQ+ community and his stance on playing at a major Pride event.

One of Chicago’s most prominent artists of this decade, John Summit has taken over the House scene with his DJing and producing skills. With tracks like ‘Human’, ‘Where You Are’ Ft. Hayla, and many more, the artist has accumulated an extremely diverse following. This includes a massive queer fanbase. It is great to see that Summit continues to support a big part of his followers that face scrutiny continuously. Pride is not only a celebration of oneself no matter your denomination, but an act of defiance against hater just like the ones who unfollowed John Summit.
Although he did not touch the subject much deeper, Summit recognized that House music and raving was originated by queer people of color. If you are a raver/festival goer, you better know your history. We are glad Summit will have our back no matter what.

Dutch Producer And Artist Lee Ptolemy Opens His 2024 Catalogue With Electronic Debut Album, ‘Future Memories’

The latest release from Lee Ptolemy is ‘Future Memories’. ‘Future Memories,’ is a 13 track traversal across a broad spectrum of genres, plucking elements from reggae rhythms, Deep House melodies, organic Arab instruments and Afrobeat influences.

Introduce yourself and your project
I am a seasoned musician with a passion for electronic sounds who’s been crafting music for over 15 years. However, it was only three years ago that I delved into the realm of electronic music production which would ultimately shape my artistic direction. My releases have often been influenced by existing tracks, offering my own unique interpretation and style. Since then, I’ve made a bold decision to redefine my sound, shifting my focus towards original compositions. 
My upcoming album marks a significant departure from any previous work, showcasing a fusion of classic deep house vibes with a touch of the exotic. It draws inspiration from oriental instruments, intricate percussions, and carefully crafted compositions, promising to be a mature and introspective exploration of sound.
Explain what musical genre fits you best
Deep house, Organic house. 
Were you connected with music from a young age and did anyone inspire you?
I am from Rotterdam, Netherlands where house music is rooted. At a young age I was inspired by Euromasters and DJ Paul Elstak (Midtown records), and after primary school I would go to the record shop Midtown to browse through the vinyls.
What kickstarted your music career?
I started producing music at a young age, around 20 years ago. I was mostly making Hip-hop beats and somewhat electronic music like drum n bass and hardstyle. I never really published much around those times. 
I started to pick up DJ-ing as a hobby a few years ago, but I took a break because I did not have the space nor time. When I did stand back behind the turntables I was getting ideas for producing again in no time. After my first production I had a lot of nice feedback, and also Shazams from locations all over the world. When I realised I was getting recognition from places I never even visited, this gave me a great boost to start creating more.

Tell us more about your sound and how it’s evolved over time
I feel that before I was making tracks, I was more focused on making covers and remixes. Now I am trying to create my own compositions, combined with samples that guide me or inspire me. For me, the biggest challenge was making an album. Releasing an album required a new skill for me, and accepting that a track is a moment, and not a continuous process. It is never properly finished in my head, but the release is planned now. 
Any words you want to share to encourage other artists or producers?
Try to produce without ego. I saw caring too much about the public’s opinion killed the experimental part which music really needs. In order for music to evolve, your track might not necessarily be a success, but it might inspire another artists again, which in some way you might get back again. Just throw it out there.
How do you nurture your industry relationships?
I must say poorly at this point. I am at the stage where I am building up relationships and networking still, but I promise whoever is reading this, I do maintain them properly ☺
Is there anyone you’d like to thank that’s been crucial to your journey?
I think everybody close to me has been of great support. I do not talk much about the music and don’t advertise it much. For me it’s just a moment for myself.

What’s your favourite piece of studio equipment or software?
I really love my DJ controller setup. I have Rane Sevety-Two and 2 Rane Twelve which are the perfect combination of old school and new technology. It is more of a battle deck but I just love playing all types of sets on it.
Name your favourite club or festival and how it makes you feel
I used to like the after club which was a club that opens Sunday morning at 5 AM and lasted until 12:00 PM. Perfect to sleep for 20 hours after having some kebab and be in time to go to college again on Mondays.
Name an outlandish rider request?
Squat rack, and at least 350kg in weights. 
Favourite clubbing memory and who or what did it involve?
Every night has its own charm. 
What famous quote represents you best?
Noah looked like a fool until it started to rain. 
If you could play at any venue, where would it be and why?
Zamna festival in Tulum (Mexico).
Music is….. (explain more)
Music is like a magical language that speaks directly to our emotions. It’s made up of sounds, rhythms, and melodies that come together to create something beautiful and meaningful. Think of it as painting with sounds instead of colours. 
When artists make music, they’re expressing feelings and ideas in a way that everyone can understand, even if they don’t speak the same language. Listening to music can make us feel happy, sad, excited, or calm—it’s like a soundtrack to our lives; and when we make music ourselves, whether by singing, playing an instrument, or even just tapping along to a beat, we’re connecting with something deep inside us that’s hard to put into words.
Ultimately, music is a powerful force that brings people together and helps us express ourselves in ways we might not be able to otherwise.
One song you really couldn’t live without and why?
“Imagine” by John Lennon.
It’s a timeless classic that resonates with people around the world for its message of peace, unity, and envisioning a better world. Its simple yet profound lyrics inspire listeners to imagine a world without barriers, divisions, or conflict, where humanity lives in harmony and understanding.The song’s universal appeal and enduring relevance make it a staple in popular culture and a source of comfort and hope for many people. Its melody and lyrics have the power to uplift spirits and remind us of the importance of empathy, compassion, and working towards a brighter future for all.

Namedrop your favourite 5 artists or DJs (past or present)
Daft Punk: Daft Punk has been a massive influence on my music. Their ability to merge catchy melodies with innovative production techniques has always inspired me. Tracks like “One More Time” and “Around the World” have had a profound impact on my approach to electronic music.
Laurent Garnier: Laurent Garnier’s pioneering work in the French electronic music scene has been a huge inspiration to me. His versatility as a DJ and producer, spanning genres from techno to house to ambient, has shown me the importance of experimentation and pushing boundaries in music.
Carl Cox: Carl Cox’s legendary DJ sets and his commitment to the underground dance music scene have been incredibly influential in my career. His energy behind the decks and his ability to connect with the crowd taught me the importance of creating unforgettable moments on the dance floor.
Booka Shade: Booka Shade’s intricate productions and their seamless fusion of electronic and live instrumentation have always fascinated me. Their album “Movements” is a masterpiece that continues to inspire me to explore new sonic territories and incorporate organic elements into my music.
Paul Kalkbrenner: Paul Kalkbrenner’s emotive and melodic techno has been a constant source of inspiration for me. His ability to evoke emotion through his music and his powerful live performances remind me of the importance of connecting with the audience on a deeper level.
These artists have played a significant role in shaping my musical journey, and I continue to draw inspiration from their work as I strive to create my own unique sound in the world of electronic music.

What was your first music memory and how did it fuel your fire?
When I was a small child I used to really enjoy Michael Jackson and the long videoclips he had with stories in it. I think being very young the visuals came on number 1, and the music second. But I do feel as this developed my interests in music more.
Tell us more about your plans for the future
While I can’t predict the exact direction my career will take, I’m excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and am committed to pursuing my passion for music with determination and enthusiasm. Firstly, there’s this project that’s all about exploring lively and rhythmic styles like ancestral house, riddim, and Afro beats. It’s about tapping into cultural traditions and creating music that gets people moving with infectious rhythms and vibrant energy.
Then, there’s another project that’s a bit darker and harder. These tracks are still in the works, and I’m not sure if I want to release them yet. They’re more experimental and moody, showing a different side of my creativity.
I’m facing a bit of a dilemma because, on one hand, I want to stay true to my artistic instincts and release music that I’m passionate about. But on the other hand, I’m thinking about my audience and whether these new tracks might surprise or even disappoint them.
It’s a common struggle for artists like me, balancing creativity with what our fans expect. I want to keep things fresh and exciting, but I also want to make sure my audience stays engaged and happy with what I’m putting out there.
In the end, whatever decision I make, it’s important for me to stay true to myself as an artist and keep pushing the boundaries of my creativity.
Any worldly advice you’d like to share?
Stay humble and open-minded. There’s always something new to learn and room to grow as an artist, so approach every opportunity with curiosity and a willingness to learn. Next to that, never give up on your dreams. The road to success in the music industry can be challenging and unpredictable, but perseverance and passion will ultimately lead you to where you want to be.
Remember, the most important thing is to create music that speaks to you and touches the hearts of others. Stay authentic, stay inspired, and keep following your dreams.

New EP from machine techno luminary Lady Starlight aka Colleen Martin

Tresor Records have announced the new EP from machine techno luminary Lady Starlight aka Colleen Martin. Capricorn Rising comprises five razor-sharp cuts from the acclaimed producer, DJ, and Surgeon co-conspirator whose laser-focused work ethic reflects the EP’s astrological namesake.

Capricorn Rising is anchored by the record’s most propulsive, trance-inducing cut, “Mass;” an off-kilter conversation between chattering birds and a breathing sample that makes for an otherworldly melody. “I wanted
to create a feeling rather than a sound,” explains Martin of the catalyst for the record. Martin describes the recording of Capricorn Rising as a cathartic process. “I thought of myself as fearless since I have always rejected societal norms and I’m very comfortable expressing ideas,” she offers. “However, I realised I actually had a lot of fear when expressing anything emotional.”
The EP is the outcome of shaking off that fear. Using her feelings as a guide, Martin creates a space somewhere between euphoria, dissociation, and wonder. “This is where I hope to take the listener,” she says. This emotional liberation peaks on “Reinforce,” which sidesteps towards extraterrestrial acid and swirling, cosmic pads that reach for a new dimension. Meanwhile, “Chapter 23” is an industrial-dipped roller that creaks with eerie atmospherics before erupting into a meteor shower of kicks. This percussive workout continues on “Prism,” which makes a plea for bodily oblivion.
Martin often closes out her live sets with the EP’s euphoric title track; a seamless, starry-eyed slammer that encapsulates the headiness of the Lady Starlight universe. Oiled and limbered for the dancefloor, these are dynamic, Teflon-tough techno tracks that deftly align with Martin’s virtuosic hardware performances.

Roskilde Festival completes 2024 lineup

Denmark’s Roskilde Festival completes the lineup for this year’s festival with 53 new music acts, including 21 Savage, PinkPantheress, Amaarae, Barry Can’t Swim, Belle & Sebastian, Fridayy, Gloria Groove, Tinashe, and Young Nudy. The non-profit festival also adds many new names to its Art and Activism programme.
From June 29 to July 6, close to 200 acts will play Roskilde Festival, Northern Europe’s biggest music festival. Today, the festival presents its full lineup, with SZA, Doja Cat, Kali Uchis, Foo Fighters, and Skrillex among its previously revealed headliners.
Today’s announcement features 53 new music acts, including 21 Savage. In January, the Atlanta rapper climbed to the top of Billboard 200 for the fourth time with the album American Dream, proving once again that he is among the biggest artists in the world right now. The show at Roskilde Festival will be 21 Savage’s first in Denmark.
PinkPantheress, Amaarae, Belle & Sebastian, Tinashe and Young Nudy are also new additions, as well as Denmark’s very own Erika de Casier, who will be playing her biggest show yet on home soil.
Furthermore, festival participants will get the chance to experience Kakuma Sound, a group based in one of the world’s biggest refugee camps, playing in Europe for the first time. There’s also ritual dance from Western Java with Tarawangsa Sunda Lugina, a full-scale party with iconic Brazilian drag queen Gloria Groove, and much more to discover.
This year’s music lineup spans across 43 countries and five continents.
“Roskilde Festival is the place to explore some of the biggest artists of our time next to a rich and groundbreaking musical treasure from all corners of the globe. Our lineup will undoubtedly give rise to a lot of intriguing and inspiring encounters,” says Anders Wahrén, Roskilde Festival’s Program Director.
Art and activism address big issues
Roskilde Festival 2024 also offers a wide range of talks, performances, workshops, and artworks created specifically for the festival, focusing on some of the most current themes right now. In addition to today’s music announcement, 43 acts are added to the festival’s lineup of art and activism.
Prominent additions include Denmark-based Jordanian-Palestinian artist Banaan Al-Nasser, exhibiting the art installation ‘In Memory of Home’, reflecting on who has the right to a home and a voice. The Danish artist Ragnhild May presents a breathtaking over-the-top glamour-pop performance that offers a critical perspective on music and media culture, while the Dutch-American artist Lara Schnitger focuses on the struggle for women’s equality with a hybrid of performance and protest.
At Flokkr, the festival’s stage for activistic events, participants can listen to stories from refugees, participate in workshops on biodiversity, attend a celebration of artistic and cultural diversity with a focus on marginalized LGBTQ+ individuals, and much more.
“Roskilde Festival is an eight-day celebration of community that flickers between euphoria and intimacy, between transformation and salvation. Being a non-profit festival aimed at creating a positive impact, it is important for us to present music and art that introduce new ideas and thoughts, and activism that directly addresses the way the world is and could be. I think we truly accomplish that with this programme,” says Anders Wahrén.

Bochum Welt reissues classic 1996 analogue electro album ‘Module 2’

Bochum Welt’s classic 1996 album Module 2, originally released on Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label, is being reissued on vinyl with five bonus tracks via BMG.

Bochum Welt – a combination of the German word for ‘world’ (welt) and the name of a high-powered astral telescope –  is the stage name of Italian electronic artist Gianluigi Di Costanzo. Di Costanzo has been releasing boundary-pushing electronic music since the ’90s, his first single for Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label, ‘Scharlach Eingang’ (1994), made such an impact NME ran an article speculating Bochum Welt was an new ghost project by Aphex Twin himself.

Di Costanzo’s first album Module 2, a collection of his first recordings, was originally released in 1996 and followed by another Rephlex release Robotic Operating Buddy, nominated in 2009 as a top 15 electronica albums by The Wire and a string of acclaimed albums in the years since. Other collaborators throughout his expansive career include Drexciya’s Gerald Donald and Nine Inch Nails touring member Josh Eustis.

With its new vinyl reissue, Module 2 is set to compel new audiences with its timelessly futuristic sound and five previously unheard tracks. For the uninitiated, lovers of Kraftwerk and Aphex Twin will find themselves well at home in Di Costanzo’s analogue electro soundscape. Opening with the moody ambience and acid squelches of ‘Extra Life (Take 2), the album moves effortlessly between light and shade, offsetting brighter melodic pieces such as ‘Electro 1 (Knightsbridge Mix)’ (inspired by the influential Sheffield electronic music scene of the early 80s), with the more brooding, darker techno sensibilities of tracks like ‘Mechanique’ (of which we get both studio and live versions).

Over thirteen peerless tracks, Module 2 invites us to explore a full spectrum of electro possibilities: the extraterrestrial groove of ‘Extra Life’ (another track with two excellent versions on the album) coexists with the dreamy night ride pads and delays of ‘Asteroids Over Berlin’ and the crunchy lo-fi beats and pensive synths of ‘Paths’, whilst ‘Over Time’ closes us out with captivating moody ambience.

The imprint of Di Costanzo’s analogue explorations continues to be felt with every generation and no doubt this reissue will inspire a whole wave of discoveries. Module 2  is a bonafide ‘cult classic’ –  a feast for analogue aficionados, fans of Aphex Twin’s broader universe and any lover of underground electronic music and its history. Essential and absorbing listening and a must for all vinyl collections!

Bochum Welt says: 

“Listening to the original tape recordings for this album, I found some alternate versions and unreleased tracks. Among the unreleased ones, ‘Electro 1’ is a look back at the Sheffield melodic electronic music scene; ‘Extra Life (Take 2)’ is a version with more ambience and delay tips than the original; ‘Over Time’ is a tense and dark soundscape at the end of the album. Any part I was playing with a synthesiser was digital information that I programmed into my Macintosh. The results were lo-fi electro tunes made using my own sounds and analog gear. It’s the first album I made for Aphex Twin’s and Grant Wilson Claridge’s Rephlex Records, plus 5 bonus tracks”.

If we've learned anything about Ninajirachi by now, it's that her releases aren't just songs, but full-body experiences.
The Australian beatsmith, one of EDM.com's best music producers of 2022, has always managed to capture a visceral sound all her own, but it's scaled to new heights in her new single, "Hand on my heart." DJ Pee .Wee to Headline 2024 Edition of Iconic SoCal Desert Party, Neon Carnival

Neon Carnival, the storied SoCal party series, is returning to light up the desert for its 13th year.
Created by LA nightlife vet Brent Bolthouse and producing partner Jeffrey Best, the iconic Neon Carnival is as much a mini-metropolis as it is a party. The invite-only event annually plants its flag as a high-profile hub for dance music and haute lifestyle over festival weekend. Attendees can expect another star-studded affair after last year's headline-stealing event, which saw the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Willow Smith, Shaun White, Idris Elba and more.
Neon Carnival 2024 will take place at the Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, California for one night only, Saturday, April 13th. It's a big moment for the series as it features one of its best lineups to-date, according to Bolthouse.

"It's hard to believe that it has been celebrating for 13 years," Bolthouse said in a press release shared with EDM.com. "This year's Neon Carnival is going to have one of the best lineups we have ever had. "For this year our goal was to further amplify our musical performances."
The lineup's undeniable highlight is Anderson .Paak, who will perform an all-vinyl set under his alias, DJ Pee .Wee, per a press release. The night will also feature supporting sets by DJ Hunny Bee and James Kennedy.
Elsewhere under the lights of Neon Carnival, attendees can experience funfair-style games, bumper cars and, of course, the event's famed Ferris wheel ride. The venue’s grassy knoll spans the length of three football fields, or roughly 360 yards.
This year's Neon Carnival is presented by Liquid I.V. in association with Patrón El Alto and The Levi's Brand. Other sponsors include Ghost Energy, Tangle Teezer, LaCroix, Coca-Cola, Nütrl Vodka Seltzers, French bee Airlines, ApeCoin, Heineken and PathWater.

Rooftop Rhythms Ignite Miami's Skyline at EDM.com's "Insider Access" MMW Event

Amid a week of synths and sunshine, for the second year in a row EDM.com's "Insider Access" networking event became the opening pitch of Miami Music Week 2024.
As the sunny spring afternoon unfurled, hundreds of guests ascended to the rooftop of the lavish Uma House hotel, greeted by a panoramic view that mirrored the expansive opportunities held by new connections and more. 
The air buzzed with anticipation and the kind of energy only found where the industry's brightest gather to foster the future of electronic dance music. Refreshing drinks in-hand courtesy of local distillery Timber Creek, attendees were set for an afternoon that was as much about the savor of the moment as it was about the sizzle of potential.
The cornerstone of "Insider Access" was undoubtedly the interaction between independent artists and some of the most influential record label representatives in the electronic music domain. Giants such as Confession, Heldeep, Dim Mak, Ophelia, Armada, Dirtybird, No Copyright Sounds and Meritocracy lent their ears and expertise, diving into demos and sharing invaluable insights.

The day's soundtrack was masterfully curated, featuring an eclectic mix of artists who are no strangers to stirring crowds into a frenzy. Paul van Dyk And Sue McLaren Celebrate Tenth Collaboration With ‘Love Is Enough’

Here’s to another beautiful piece from the duo we can’t get enough of.
German maestro Paul van Dyk has been at the forefront of the Electronic Dance Music scene for a long, long while now. When the so-called Proto-Trance turned into Trance by fusing with a style of production that stemmed from Eurodance but was not quite, Paul was there. When Trance took off in the golden era of the late 1990s, Paul was also there. And, actually, Mr van Dyk has been a part of the scene without a year we could tie him to. His music is timeless, and his releases have spelt brilliance time and time again, no matter the year.
On the other hand, Sue McLaren has turned into one of the most iconic voices of Trance music through the years. Working alongside industry shapers such as Andy Moor, Aly & Fila, 4 Strings, and Craig Connelly, she’s become one vocalist we’ve all heard and sung to.
So, what could happen, other than magic, if we combine the two artists together? Well, that’s part of the grace of ‘Love Is Enough‘, the latest conjoint effort of Paul van Dyk and Sue McLaren. Them joining forces is a proven successful formula by now. In fact, this is the tenth track they work on together, after classics like ‘We Come Together’, ‘Miracle’ with Giuseppe Ottaviani, and recently, ‘Guiding Light’ and ‘Beautiful Life’.
‘Love Is Enough’
As a part of celebrating the Silver Anniversary of van Dyk’s imprint VANDIT, his and Sue’s tenth track is one of many awe-inspiring tracks to come out on this, the 25th year of the life of the record label. Sue McLaren states, “Our musical journey together has been incredible, and I believe ‘Love Is Enough’ reflects the essence of our connection“. Paul agrees:
Credit: Christoph Köstlin The release contains three tracks, which are all spins on the same core idea: ‘Love Is Enough‘, which is a radio edit and basically a slightly toned-down version of the next track; the Shine Mix, a Trance-filled piece of Heaven, and the Venture X Mix, a techier, slightly deeper version of the song which is geared towards Paul’s very own VENTUREX touring concept.
As far as taste goes, I’ll pick the Shine Mix any day, for the euphoria of a properly produced Trance track cannot be beaten. But I definitely see the Venture X flip be much more versatile and fit a wider range of set styles and DJs.

Texas Eclipse Festival Cancelled, Evacuated Due to Severe Weather Concerns

Hours before a total eclipse of the sun, the Texas Eclipse festival in Burnet has been cancelled due to severe weather, the event's organizers announced Monday.
The rare celestial event was billed as the pièce de résistance of the five-day festival, which also featured space exhibits, high-profile guest speakers and performances by a slew of major electronic music artists. However, ticket-holders are now evacuating the festival's grounds, according to EDM.com's Carlie Belbin, who is in attendance.
Texas Eclipse's organizers issued a statement Monday morning to formally announce the event's cancellation and urge pass-holders to pack their bags. At least 30,000 people were in Burnet for the fest, according to local NBC affiliate station KXAN.
"We regret to inform you of the severe weather forecast, including risks of high winds, tornadic activity, large hail, and thunderstorms for later today, including during the eclipse, Tuesday, and Wednesday," reads the statement, which was also emailed to attendees. "Your safety is our top priority. With the support and coordination of Burnet County officials, local safety agencies, and The National Weather Service, we’ve agreed to end the festival today in a calm orderly manner."
"Leave early for safety and to beat traffic," the announcement continues. "Guests may stay for the eclipse provided they pack and are prepared to depart after totality. This guidance may change based on weather."
Texas Eclipse ticket-holders will receive an email with a partial refund policy "soon," according to organizers.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for hazardous weather conditions at the time of this writing. Severe thunderstorms are likely to develop in the afternoon, leading to threats of "very large hail, damaging winds, heavy rainfall and a few tornadoes." Increasing cloud cover may also limit the viewing of the solar eclipse.
"It has been very hectic. No one really knows what to do or where to go," Belbin told us via text message. "The emotions are at an all-time high as it feels like a Band-Aid was ripped off. Today was *the* day that everyone was waiting for. People came from all over the world for this. Obviously no one can control the weather, but it's just a shame to be departing today instead of Tuesday evening or Wednesday."
The total eclipse begins in Burnet at 1:34pm and it will persist for for minutes and 20.4 seconds.

In expanding from the underground scene, ARTBAT’s collaborations with John Martin, David Guetta, and Armin Van Buuren have cemented their status as Coachella-worthy talent. ARTBAT’s Yuma Tent performance will likely occur toward the end of the festival, an ideal way for dance music fans to close out the weekend.

In a scene ripped from a culinary fever dream, the duo turned the Windy City into Wobble City on Saturday as they dropped a barrage of dubstep tracks while perched atop the iconic hotdog joint, which is beloved for serving street food "with a side of insults."
Like the way a well-crafted Chicago dog elevates the humble frankfurter to new heights, Mello and SVDDEN DEATH's raw energy elevated the daytime rave to an unforgettable electronic music experience. Fans permeated the block as the sizzle of the grill and the thump of the bass reverberated through Clark Street.
The crowd became so large, however, that the Chicago Police Department arrived after roughly 20 minutes to shut down the event, according to a member of EDM.com's staff in attendance.

BREAKING: Texas Eclipse Festival Canceled Due to Weather Threat

As many of us are prepping our flimsy yet important eclipse glasses for the big moment in just a few hours, Texas Eclipse Festival in Burnet, Texas, just received news that the remaining two days of the festival have been canceled due to forecasted bad weather. The event began April 5th and was set to go until April 9th.
Attendees are being asked to leave the venue immediately following the totality as long as they are packed and can leave immediately after.
Despite some over the weekend rumblings that the festival was not prepared, many videos began emerging late Saturday and Sunday night showing great vibes, music, and everyone enjoying themselves. We hope everyone still enjoys themselves as much as possible and we’ll report any additional information as it comes in.

Introduce yourself and your project
Hey people! This is UNCLØSD, DJ & Producer hailing from Bayonne (FR). Raised in the south of France near the Spanish lines. My roots belong to the warmth of the flamenco guitars and the UK house classics I grew up with.
Explain what musical genre fits you best
Tech house / Garage because my soul literally melts when playing it, and I think people feel that too.
Were you connected with music from a young age and did anyone inspire you?
I have been connected to music since my early childhood, my brain was already focused on the rhythm hahah. At 8 y/o I remembered watching music charts clips on TV and instantly fell in love with the DJ world. The fact that an artist could compose & program music on his machines and play it after sounded sensational to me.
What kickstarted your music career?
My friends and sheer willpower. 
Tell us more about your sound and how it’s evolved over time
I can’t accurately describe my sound haha. It’s a blend of House & UKG with latin influences. I think it translates the best when I’m doing gigs. Currently I believe my sound is evolving the way I wanted it to do, even If I produce House, I try to not limit my productions to only one influence.
Any words you want to share to encourage other artists or producers?
Stay true to what made you start and have fun.
How do you nurture your industry relationships?
By using mainly social media. By doing what you love the most, you can go places, the right people will find you.

 My family for supporting me through all the ups & downs and beyond.

What’s your favourite piece of studio equipment or software?
I never go out without a pair of HD 25. Ableton Live & Serum all the way round.
Name your favourite club or festival and how it makes you feel
My favourite clubbing experience was in Marseille (FR) at Baby Club. Little capacity but enormous vibe.
Speaking about festivals in France, you have plenty of outstanding venues, but Little Festival in Hossegor is my go to. I get bittersweet nostalgia whenever I hear the sound of Woralks or Etienne de Crecy there.
Name an outlandish rider request?
One bottle of Jack Daniel’s with some M&M’s on the side. 
Favourite clubbing memory and who or what did it involve?
Dancing with strangers till I no longer feel my feet at La Rhapsodie in Biarritz (FR).
What famous quote represents you best?
The best way to get it done, is to start somewhere.
If you could play at any venue, where would it be and why?
T7 & La Clairière in Paris (FR) would be a blast. I’ve been there and the sound was on point.

Music is my therapy. I was diagnosed with ADHD so making beats and aligning it with a healthy lifestyle clearly helped me to get more confident in my life.

What was your first music memory and how did it fuel your fire?
I was in my dad’s car listening to the Rolling Stones. My head against the window, dreamy. He was taking me to a Bob Dylan concert. When I heard him, I instantly knew what I wanted in my life: the poetry of music.

Joshwa Launches New Record Label, No Bad Fridays

Joshwa has launched a new record label, No Bad Fridays, by virtue of its debut release, "Get Stupid/Lluvia."
Some of the London-based producer's most memorable career moments, he said, have unfolded on Fridays, when most new music releases.
"It's never a bad day when new music is released into the world," he said in a press release. "It's been a dream of mine to have my own label to share the music that represents the sound I play in my sets—a mixture of dark and light. I wanted to channel the positivity music has had on my life through the label and what better day to do it than a Friday... No bad feelings on a Friday."
The label's debut is a two-pronged tech house release from Joshwa himself. "Get Stupid" pulses with lively percussive elements, vibrant vocal chops and—just as the vocals boldly command—a "funky ass bassline." On the flip side, "Lluvia" enchants with a house beat that seems to glisten like raindrops, accompanied by haunting Spanish vocals and a mesmerizing flute pattern.

Goom Gum, The Duo Who Are Continuing To Raise Their Presence In The Electronic Music Industry
The duo has created very good, top-quality tracks since they first started their careers in 2016. Their core sounds come from genres such as Melodic Techno and Progressive House. Electronic Groove stated that the duo has garnered the support of prominent Electronic music stars such as Diplo, Solomun, and Tale of Us.
