Two of the most important independent organizers of live events and venue experiences, TCE PRESENTS and BROADWICK LIVE, have now revealed the first big project of their new Transatlantic partnership. Brooklyn Storehouse is a new collaboration space that will open this month at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It’s 104,000 square feet and will become a new cultural hub in Brooklyn.
The venue and its upcoming events
Brooklyn Storehouse will be a place for arts and culture in one of Brooklyn’s most famous and important industrial hubs from the past. The space will be constantly moved around and changed to create a wide range of settings. The fully customizable room will be used for many things, such as fashion shows, summits, brand activations, and immersive art exhibitions and complete set builds.
The room has already been the site of Ralph Lauren’s world’s biggest fashion show, and now it will be open to new and exciting shows that mix art, music, and culture. Top DJs and live bands from around the world will play at Brooklyn Storehouse. Upcoming shows will feature well-known artists like Justice, Charlotte de Witte, and Eric Prydz. In the next few weeks, more shows will be revealed.
Brooklyn Storehouse: the history
The striking look of the Brooklyn Storehouse’s original raw concrete floors, exposed brick, and huge metalwork will help to keep the building’s rich industrial history alive. After World Wars I and II, a lot of ships were built at the Navy Yard. Building 293’s huge iron struts show some of that past, and the space’s beautiful waterfront location and views of the famous New York City skyline make it a part of Brooklyn’s culture.
The inside of the new venue in New York City: BROOKLYN STOREHOUSE Broadwick and TCE Presents both want to create places that combine industrial history with creative innovation to create moments and experiences that people will never forget. Today, Brooklyn Storehouse is the first project of a partnership that aims to create the most exciting cultural places and entertainment brands in the world, while also honoring the heritage of the past and fostering diversity and acceptance.
Broadwick Live: between Printworks, DRUMSHEDS, Depot Mayfield, and more
Since it opened in 2010, Broadwick has been a major force in the development of “live experiences” in the UK. Their places and projects are known for providing events with experiences that can’t be found anywhere else. Broadwick is a leader in electronic music, the arts, and space management.
They have bought more than 30 venues and entertainment spaces and sell more than 1 million tickets a year. They have also created some of the most inspiring cultural brands in the world, such as Printworks London, DRUMSHEDS, Depot Mayfield, Magazine, Field Day, and more.
Besides music-based events, Broadwick’s lively spaces host a lot of other powerful things, like fashion shows, business events, filming, celebrations, and immersive art exhibitions.
TCE Presents and New York
In the past ten years, TCE Presents has changed New York’s nightlife by putting on the first big events in and outside of the city at new venues. These events are put on by a portfolio of event brands, with Teksupport, which focuses on house and techno music, at the head of the pack. TCE Presents puts on more than 150 shows a year, such as fashion shows, business events, and the US versions of well-known international brands like CircoLoco and Time Warp.
Rockstar Games, a world leader in interactive entertainment, also backs Broadwick and TCE Presents. They are strategic investment partners in Broadwick and work with TCE Presents on a number of events and the Circoloco Records music label.

Just a few weeks ago, techno superstar Deborah De Luca was waging an inner war as surgeons removed a malignant tumor from her abdomen. Now, she's DJing in the heart of Times Square.
The Italian electronic music producer today announced a rare pop-up event in celebration of her third studio album, Hard Pop, which will release on Friday via her own Solamente Records imprint. De Luca will play tracks from the new album alongside a number of its vocalists, she said.
It's a big moment for the resilient DJ, who last month revealed she underwent emergency surgery after discovering a tumor. But she made a remarkable recovery and was back on the road to continue her tour within a week.
"I underwent an 'emergency' surgery 6/7 days after the diagnosis because there was no time, within 1 or 2 months the tumor would have been removed from the organ that contained it, bringing consequences that I don't even want to write about but that you can imagine," De Luca wrote in a statement on social media, translated from Italian. "I got very lucky."

De Luca is renowned for her visceral sound, which blends grit with grace for a more nuanced approach to techno music. Hard Pop has the feel of a full-blown showcase considering the album "celebrates [her] deep founded roots in Neapolitan techno as well as her appreciation for pop's growing role within the genre," according to a press release shared with EDM.com.
De Luca will begin DJing in Times Square today, May 21st, at 5pm ET. Beatport will then broadcast a stream of the pop-up event tomorrow via YouTube.
"I'm so excited to bring my music to the heart of New York City with this once-in-a-lifetime event," she said in a statement. "Times Square is a truly iconic destination, and I am honored to have the opportunity to share the music from my new album with my US fans."

Bebe Rexha has released her latest single, "Chase It (Mmm Da Da Da)," an anthemic dance track produced by Chris Lake, Sammy Virji, Punctual and Marco Straus.
Rexha debuted the song during her electrifying Coachella set last month. Co-written alongside Aluna, it's sassy and upbeat, with an infectious house rhythm and an earworm of a refrain.
Its lyrics depict a person who is confidently following their own path, reveling in the thrill and unpredictability of their journey. Rexha also addresses a romantic interest, challenging them to impress her and not let her down as she's determined not to end the night alone.
The music video features Rexha and backup dancers performing dynamic routines on and around cars, with scenes of cars drifting. This visual theme complements the song's messages of adventure, independence and living boldly.

When longtime friends come together to make music, you can always expect a hit.
After dropping their first Afroki track in March, Afrojack and Steve Aoki have teamed up once again for two brand new singles, "Save My Soul" and "Diss You."
Out now via Dim Mak, both tracks dive deep into both artists roots, embodying the mainstage-ready sound for which they're both beloved. "Save My Soul" is the more anthemic song of the two, beautifully incorporating Jordan Grace's stunning vocals into a driving beat with wriggling synths.
"Diss You" is bound to be a fan-favorite. The duo have cooked up a high-energy track with a pounding bassline that guides us from start to finish, something that'll effortlessly keep the dancefloor moving all night long this summer.

While 2023 was an incredible year for Flux Pavilion, he's showing no signs of stopping in 2024.
After ending last year by teasing a handful of hotly anticipated collaborations, the latest one of that bunch has finally arrived. Flux has connected with Wooli and Cammie Robinson for "On Repeat," out now on his own Circus Records imprint.
"On Repeat" was made for festival play. The track is a masterful fusion of Wooli's untamed grittiness and Flux Pavilion's signature warbling synths, flowing between melodic moments and devastating drops.
Robinson's shimmering vocals stand out as she croons about clinging to a rocky relationship, recalling both the good times and bad. Her aching vocal is the emotional undertow of an anthemic tune that crowds will certainly be singing all festival season long.

Several months have passed since the Ultra Music Festival’s conclusion, yet a group of nearly 20 vendors report they are still awaiting payment. These vendors, who provided services at the festival, claim they have not received compensation from a California-based subcontractor responsible for their hiring.
Among the affected is Larry Galper, owner of the Pizzella food truck, known for its pizza pies. Galper expressed that the opportunity to earn substantial revenue over the festival’s three-day span was exceptional for a food truck business. Pizzella boasted sales of approximately $10,000 during the event.
Galper described the experience as “awesome,” but the post-festival period has been marred by financial uncertainty. According to him, none of the vendors involved have received their due earnings. He clarified that the responsibility does not lie with the Ultra Music Festival organizers but with the subcontracting vendor company from California. The contract issued by this company promised payment within 30 business days from April 2nd.
The delay has caused concern among the vendors, some of whom have previously worked with the festival and were accustomed to receiving payment within two weeks. Despite reaching out to the subcontractor, the only response received was an assurance that the matter was being addressed.
The vendors, including Galper, are now appealing to the Ultra Music Festival to intervene. They hope the festival will step in and assist in resolving the payment delays.
Best Beverage Catering or the Worst?
Rodney Brown, co-proprietor of the vegan food truck Plant Minage, reported to Miami New Times that he received a call last Thursday evening, May 16. The caller presented himself as an associate of Ultra and Best Beverage.
The caller proposed that Ultra would settle the payment. However, this would require Brown to agree not to engage with the media. Brown and his business partner decided to decline, sensing something amiss.
Galper, another vendor, expressed a desire to avoid conflict, hoping that Ultra would intervene and facilitate a resolution.
By Saturday afternoon, Galper communicated via text that the matter had been settled and was no longer an issue.
However, he remained unresponsive to further inquiries and did not confirm whether payment was received or if he signed an NDA

Best Beverage Catering, the vending company in question, has not provided a comment on the situation. This is certainly an unfortunate situation as this year marked Galper’s inaugural participation in the Ultra Music Festival.

In their new 2-track EP “Melting” on Embassy One, the electronic music pair KIDSØ teams up with the Polish singer Helaine Vis. The song is about regretting the past and finding it hard to let go. It combines KIDSØ’s unique production style with Vis’s strong singing.
KIDSØ (Moritz Grassinger and Martin Schneider) make a booming bassline and rhythmic handclaps that add to the nostalgic feel of “Melting.” A lead with a lot of brass adds energy and goes well with Vis’s mature and deeply moving vocal performance. The lines “I saw ice in his eyes, now it’s melting/How I didn’t want to make him cry/I saw ice in his eyes, now it’s melting/I wish that I could turn back time” give the song a deep emotional quality.
The two groups have been working together for years because KIDSØ liked Vis’s song “Ice” when they were first putting out music on Springstoff. As soon as they heard each other’s music, they started working on “Melting” as a way to combine their unique computer production skills with Vis’s skill as a songwriter.
They keep pushing the limits of their sound with “Melting,” which combines driving tech house with emotive songcraft. The song shows that the two can make dancefloor-ready beats with story depth and human feeling. It’s a sad exercise in nostalgia, and it’s an exciting next step in their musical development.
The release includes also Better Days with ROBINS. The tune was released back in February but it made its way through to this EP.

Deborah De Luca is getting ready for her much-anticipated return to New York, USA. To celebrate, she is holding an exclusive album pop-up event in the middle of Times Square in Manhattan.
Wednesday, May 21, from 17:00 to 18.30 EST, is the event. It’s only three days before Deborah De Luca’s third studio record, “Hard Pop,” comes out on May 24 through her own Solamente Records label.
The new album: Hard Pop
Deborah De Luca‘s event in Times Square is a big deal in her long and successful career. It also sets the stage for the release of her third studio record, “Hard Pop.”
“Hard Pop” is the culmination of De Luca’s ten-year career and a tribute to the influences that helped her become a dance music royalty. It honors Deborah’s deep roots in Neapolitan techno and her respect for pop’s growing role in the genre.
De Luca’s latest record is a stellar example of how to masterfully blend the very different sounds of these two worlds. It pays tribute to the golden age of rave music with a fresh new twist.
The history: Deborah De Luca
De Luca has released a huge amount of music, and her records have become linked to Beatport’s top charts. Because of this, she’s been called a leader in the growth of techno in the studio and on stage. Many people have called Deborah De Luca the “Queen of Naples.”
Her rise from poverty in one of the city’s toughest neighborhoods to world fame has been nothing short of amazing. She is known as one of the most exciting new techno artists to come out of the international scene in the last twenty years because of her ability to hold people’s attention with highly complex sets that are charged with electricity.

Hard to believe that Anton Zaslavski/Zedd has been working on music since 2002 and only has put out two albums. The longtime producer has been working with some of the biggest names in the electronic and pop genres as well as performing since his second one in 2015.
After confirming back in March that he was working on his next album, we finally have more information regarding that because during his performance at EDC Las Vegas this last weekend, the drones in the sky helped with the announcement. Take a look at the video below:
In a spectacular fashion, the extremely special EDC Las Vegas sky drones arranged to form “Z3 8/30” in the sky while “Clarity” was playing on the speakers. Every year, hundreds of thousands plan their escapes to the illusory grounds of EDC Las Vegas. And every year, going home becomes more and more sad.
It's now the dreaded post-EDC Monday, which means the melancholia of an epic weekend's close is setting in, especially in that brutal southbound I-15 morning traffic. But it's obviously all worth it.
Another bioluminescent dreamscape unfolded over the weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, thanks to Insomniac Events. EDC continued to stand tall at the bleeding edge of festival culture in 2024, a year that came with the familiar thrills and astonishing surprises expected at one of the world's best electronic dance music festivals.
Insomniac not only recaptured its audacious creative energy within the Speedway's neon-drenched grounds, but also ascended to new heights on its stages, which served as technological tinderboxes. Igniting a bright future in stage design, the production at kineticFIELD, circuitGROUNDS and the other EDC stages was out of a storybook.
The FOMO was real, and so is the aftermath. For those who couldn't make it to this year's monumental festival, here's 10 things you missed at EDC Las Vegas.
Fred again.. stuns EDC crowd with surprise set
An unannounced "special guest" on Saturday's circuitGROUNDS lineup started out as an afterthought but quickly exploded in the social media realm when Fred again.. revealed himself to be in Vegas. Considering it was sandwiched on the schedule by Four Tet's performance, fans naturally thought the two were reuniting with Skrillex for another historic b3b set.
Alas, Fred ultimately performed solo. But who's complaining?
deadmau5 caught a drone with a butterfly net
In a bizarre mid-set maneuver at EDC, deadmau5 went full entomologist and used a butterfly net to ensnare a wayward drone. Ironic since he wasn't performing under his TESTPILOT alias, but we digress.

Ravers played Mario Kart in the crowd
One innovative attendee took Rainbow Road to the next level by virtue of the "Super Nintotem," an interactive totem on which ravers can play classic Nintendo games like Mario Kart.

DJ Snake called out Tomorrowland
DJ Snake showed his fangs at the kineticFIELD stage on Saturday night, when he took the mic to criticize Tomorrowland seemingly unprovoked. "EDC is way better than Tomorrowland," he said. "For real. F*** Tomorrowland."
The derision has baffled fans, but many on social media have speculated it's due to the Tomorrowland crowd's tepid response to dubstep and bass music. Snake took his contempt a step further after his performance by doubling down on X, where he wrote, "EDC VEGAS > TOMORROWLAND."
A husband-and-wife dubstep set
Subtronics and LEVEL UP traded vows for bass as the husband-and-wife duo tore up EDC with their first-ever b2b set. Their blistering performance featured a slew of unreleased collaborations, so fans of the dubstep stars can look forward to official "LEVELTRONICS" releases in the near future.

David Guetta paid tribute to Avicii by dropping "Levels"
You've danced to it, screamed to it and maybe even cried to it—"Levels" continues to inspire today's music community as Avicii watches from above. David Guetta paid tribute to the Swedish electronic music legend at EDC, where he dropped "Levels" for a crowd we're willing to bet shed more than a few tears.

Love was in the air–and on the mainstage
Proposals are commonplace at EDC, where euphoria is the native language. A particularly aching one went down this year during the kineticFIELD performance of electronic music icon Benny Benassi, who invited a man to pop the question to his girlfriend onstage while their love-song "Cinema" played.

Alison Wonderland played a surprise techno set on the Rynobus art car
Alison Wonderland, who headlined the EDC mainstage at 3am on Saturday night, also made a surprise appearance on the Rynobus art car. Perched atop the vehicle and its trippy refracting walls, she threw down a vicious techno set that had attendees converging from all sides.

Zedd revealed the release date of his new album via drone
Zedd has been teasing his next album since as early as 2022, but we haven't had any clarity since. You'll get that pun in a moment.
As Zedd closed his Saturday night mainstage set with his generational dance anthem "Clarity," glittering drones in the sky formed the words "Z3 8/30," which revealed his third album and its release date. He formally announced the album, Telos, today.
John Summit and Mau P DJed Monday morning at 7am in Camp EDC
EDC Las Vegas veterans know the festival is a marathon, not a sprint. And those who drank enough electrolytes were rewarded Monday morning on the Mesa in Camp EDC, where two of dance music's most lovably reckless DJs threw down around 7am.
The sultry house rhythms of John Summit and Mau P ensured the party didn't end until it absolutely had to. Throw in an appearance from techno superstar Sara Landry, and you've got a once-in-a-lifetime set.

New Progressive bliss for your ears, from one of the greatest Scottish acts out there.
We’re absolutely delighted to kick off this week on such a high note as this. Progressive master Grum has just unveiled a brand-new arrangement on his newly founded imprint Being, ‘HIGHER STATE‘. As is the case with the rest of his latest releases, we’ve been blessed with a minimalistic composition that focuses on what analogue machines can provide.
Now focused on artistic freedom, he’s all-in on the sounds that once shaped the very sound of our industry, borrowing atmospheres and techniques from the early 2000s and before. What’s more, this approach to music production, we shared a while ago, would eventually lead to a 2024 full of live touring, one in which Grum would ditch the laptop to control and remix his tunes live, on the spot. Well, that’s a reality now. More info on that below.
‘HIGHER STATE’
Grum’s new track ‘HIGHER STATE‘ comes packed with nostalgia. Crafted from the ground up, this song starts from the very conception of a single sound, and builds up from there. Evolving into a beautiful four-on-the-floor piece, the artist made sure to give sense and reason to every element present, which there are not that many of, and which, at the same time, fill up the space in elegant motion.
Trancy plucks, hypnotising delays, abstract vocals, saws, and machine-programmed percussion, everything comes in a handy little package this time. The entire song and its elements come together in a way that only an artist with the calibre of Grum could craft.
Grum On Tour
Catch the Scottish star across the US and Canada these coming weeks! Don’t miss the chance to watch him and his stylish machinery live on stage at venues such as It’ll Do in Dallas, Spybar in Chicago, or Audio in San Fran. Check out the full schedule below:
