It won’t be their first appearance in public tho. FLAMENCA, a new group mixing together electronic music and flamenco, was premiered at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. Now, they’ll return for a full show at the World Club Dome event in Frankfurt from September 6 to 8, 2024.
At the core of FLAMENCA is an imaginary “Corrida” concept. Just imagine a spectacular dance floor that brings to life the drama, tension, and raw emotion of the traditional Spanish bullfight.
Across four distinct acts, the performance unfolds with 7 of Spain’s most revered dancers. They will tell the story of man versus beast but without spilling a single drop of blood, capturing the essence of Flamenco for the 21st century.
Expect the unexpected as FLAMENCA fuses the intense passion and emotion of Flamenco with the pulsating energy of electronic dance music.
Where was FLAMENCA born?
They will create a 360-degree sensory experience that immerses the audience in the heart of Spanish culture. Utilizing cutting-edge audio and visual technology, FLAMENCA transforms its environment into a dynamic, ever-changing space.
At the heart of this artistic revolution is Swiss-Spanish entrepreneur Esteban Garcia, founder of Realsound: a next-generation record label and creative music platform.
After years of development, Esteban has created Realsound as a haven for boundary-pushing music and true artistic expression. As a talented producer and DJ, he is the driving force behind the music of FLAMENCA.

Hi!, Who are you?
Most people reading this know me as Jauz, but my real name is Sam. I’ve been making all kinds of electronic music as Jauz for over ten years now, and have run my label Bite This! Since 2018.
What’s your ethos?
The goal and “tagline” for the Jauz project has always been “Music Has No Boundaries.” I grew up listening to so many different styles of music and always would bounce between polar opposite styles and sounds based on my mood or the situation. Early on, I spent much time as a producer hyper-focused on making just one genre, Dubstep, and ended up frustrated and unhappy. When I was finally able to remind myself of who I was at my core and allowed myself to explore all of the different possibilities that there were in the dance music world- that’s when things began to click. My goal has always been to help broaden the horizons of people who are listening to my music, experiencing my shows, or seeing me at a festival.
Tell us your origin story…
As I started to say above, my musical palette growing up was all over the place. In my early years, I listened to everything from Bay Area hip-hop and rap, bands such as Linkin Park, and all the way to artists like Basshunter and DJ Scooter. When I was eleven or twelve though, I found Metallica. I ended up picking up a guitar and throwing myself into the metal and hardcore world. I was convinced that I would end up playing guitar in a band. I tried starting multiple bands, but it never really panned out. One day, one of my buddies showed me a video of someone making hip-hop beats on their computer, all by themself- that was the lightbulb moment for me. It just so happened that right around that time, many of my friends and peers were getting into dubstep and electronic music as a whole- so the transition from metal to dubstep seemed like a no-brainer to me. From that point on, I kind of knew exactly what I wanted to do.
Where are you based? Tell us about your local scene.
I live in Los Angeles, and so does my team, so we consider the LA-area home base. The scene here is extremely vibrant and has a long history of being one of the best places for electronic music in the United States. Not only do you have the legends Brownies & Lemonade playing a foundational role in building the scene, but Night Bass, OWSLA, and so many other labels who are instrumental in holding it down with various monthly events.
Do you have a specific sound or vibe?
You could ask 20 different fans of mine, and they would probably have 20 different answers. That was always the goal with the Jauz project anyway- to always keep the kids guessing, and never feel like I’m “pigeonholed” into one specific sound or the other. I treat my record label the same way, as well. We have a lot of intention behind finding artists that fit the ethos of our label, not by their sound or style, but by how they carry themselves as artists and people. Part of running a label is being a fan of music, and I’m a fan of so many different styles of dance music it wouldn’t be fair to just choose one or two styles.
Do you have a regular artist roster – who can we see releasing with you?
Short answer – no. When I first started Bite This!, my goal was to kind of be the opposite of most of the labels I saw at the time; that meant putting out as many songs, by as many different artists, as fast as possible. We did an incredible job with that, putting out hundreds of records from artists all over the globe. But as time went on and the label grew, I realised that we had hit a point of diminishing returns and I didn’t feel as if we were providing enough value to the artists who were trusting us with their music. I always look at the label as if I’m an artist who’s signed to the label, not the guy running it. From that perspective, I knew that we had to make some big changes. That being said, I still don’t believe in trying to “lockdown” artists or anything like that.
The main change is you’ll be seeing a lot fewer releases from the label, with much more intention behind each one. I hope that means that artists will want to continue releasing with us and become “part of the label”, but it’s not a prerequisite at all. Again, as an artist, I want to be able to do whatever it is I want with my music. So as a label owner, all I want to do is empower that freedom.
We just put out our inaugural “we’re back” EP, from Italian producer Albert Breaker. It’s a super sick 3-track of bass-heavy tech house with a lot of South American flavour. Albert has released on the label multiple times and it was important to me to start things back up with someone who had been part of the family before. Up next, we have an insane EP from one of my favourite new American bass acts named Edison Cole. His style of heavy bass music is right up my alley, and I think the kid is insanely talented. I have a feeling you’ll be hearing his name quite a bit around UKF in the near future.
Tell us about your A&R process.
For the longest time, and still quite a bit now, we’ve had so many insane demos flood into our demo email account and submission website via Label Radar. I know as an up-and-comer how many of those damn emails you have to send, so it always feels cool when we strike gold and can tell some kid, “Hey man, all of that effort was worth it.”
Also, I love being able to give spotlights to kids who people have probably never heard of before – I feel like that’s one of the main responsibilities you have as a record label. That said, times have changed a lot since I started Bite This!. I’ve started finding tons of insane talent just by scrolling through Instagram Reels – something I used to hate doing, but I’ve kind of programmed my algorithm to consistently show me relatively unknown, crazy talented up-and-comers. Posting your WIPs on IG reels/TikTok is kind of the new version of how we used to post WIPs on SoundCloud back in the day, and part of kind of restarting the label was also understanding that the way we should be “digging through the crates” should reflect the new landscape of music.
What makes you different from other labels?
I feel like I’ve touched on a lot of the things that I feel make us stand out as a dance label, but the one thing I haven’t mentioned yet is our partnership with OneRPM.
They’re the largest independent music distribution company on the planet, and when we met with them we realised that our goals and visions aligned very naturally. It’s been so awesome to have the resources and firepower of what could be considered a major label but with the freedom to operate exactly as we see fit & I’m so appreciative of them and their belief in us as a label.
What does it take to run a bass music label in 2024?
A whole lot more than it used to! Things have changed so much since 2018- I would argue mostly for the better. I think there’s never been a better time to be discovered as a new artist, and truly be able to “blow up overnight”. So the main thing, as I mentioned above, is not sticking to our old ways just because they worked in the past – but trying to understand and embrace the world in which we live now. We can’t just put out a record on the label, send it around a bit, post it on socials, and call it a day. There’s a lot more that goes into every single, EP, etc. which is why I’m so grateful to have a team like OneRPM behind us to help give every artist we work with the absolute greatest chance for success.
What have you got coming up that we should look out for?
I just released a new song, ‘Higher For Your Love’, that I’m absolutely obsessed with at the moment. It’s a super melodic drum-and-bass tune, and the vocals on it are just unreal man. I’m putting out a new song every month this year, so there’s plenty more to look out for as well!

Known for his innovative approach and versatile sound, Wann has become a prominent figure in the Deep House genre, blending elements of Afro-house, tech house, and melodic house. His latest release, a remix of the 2014 hit ‘My Love’ by Route 94 featuring Jess Glynne, showcases his ability to reimagine iconic tracks while staying true to his soulful roots.
Released on EMI’s Positiva Records, ‘My Love’ marks a significant milestone in Wann’s career. He has taken the original UK house anthem and infused it with an Afro-house vibe, a sound that has become synonymous with his work over the past two years. By blending Jess Glynne’s emotive vocals with rhythmic, repetitive beats, Wann has created a track that feels both fresh and familiar. Wann himself described the track as having an “instant connection with the dancefloor,” a sentiment echoed by the widespread support it has received from influential DJs and radio shows. Pete Tong and Danny Howard have featured it on BBC Radio 1, while John Summit included it in his set at CODA Toronto, further cementing its status as a dancefloor favorite.

On September 2nd, the Labor Day holiday, tens of thousands of Burning Man attendees enjoyed their last day at the festival’s playas. While departing (or trying to depart), the Burning Man attendees faced a heavy dust storm that affected traffic significantly. According to an article from The Daily Beast, the attendees faced delayed traffic times of up to 10 hours getting off-site. Not just that, the dust storm affected the visibility of the Burning Man attendees trying to leave by reducing it to just five feet.
Burning Man Traffic‘s account on X (formerly Twitter) had a post at 07:24 p.m yesterday that had a travel time of “6 hours from Greeters to pavement”. The account at 08:21 p.m. also uploaded another updated post that also shown an expected travel time of 6 hours too, in addition to the frequent posts that showed 4-5 hour commute times as well. According to another article from SFGATE editor Ashley Harrell, who attended this year’s festival with her partner, the dust storm started during the Temple Burn on Friday night, August 30th. Since then, even during the famous burning of “The Man” statue, the dust storm still continued, much to the detriment of the Burning Man attendees trying to leave Black Rock City as quickly as possible.
Photo Credit: Jason Ross / Reno Gazette Journal Current status of the Burning Man dust storm situation
As of this current moment, Burning Man Traffic’s X account now has travel-time updates that state “1 hour from Greeters to pavement”. For the Burning Man attendees, the dust storm is another hectic event on and around the playas that have made their experiences in the 2024 edition something that will live on in their memories for a very long time. Earlier in the week, during the first day of the festival to be exact, an attendee died after she was found unresponsive and the attendee’s death occurred after the festival began after a 12-hour delay due to rain and muddy conditions. In addition, The Mirror reported that a man named Samer Naouri got under arrest for false imprisonment, kidnapping, and abduction, as well as a drug-related offense.
Furthermore, a woman named Susie Holland had to pay a fine of $1,500 to the Nevada Transportation Authority and the impound lot for giving rides to people who were heading to Black Rock City for cash without a proper permit (under Nevada transportation regulations). For the majority of the Burning Man attendees who were trying to leave, even after packing all of their things into their vehicles/trailers/RVs, the dust storm have probably affected their physical and mental well-beings. The same goes if they hitchhiked or taking the bus (or ridesharing) as well. If they do plan on returning to Black Rock City next year, or anyone who is planning to attending their first Burning Man, preparing for worst-case traffic/storm scenarios should be an important task for them to include in their plans.

In an unexpected convergence of house music luminaries, Chris Lake and Disclosure have collaborated on a pair of new tracks, they revealed on Friday.
Fans are abuzz with speculation after each took to social media to tease the new music and share previews. Lake, known for his chugging basslines and singular approach to sound design, brings a raw energy to the table while Disclosure—who leaned into a more club-focused sound in last summer's Alchemy album—craft their irresistible melodies.
Built around a characteristically thick low-end, the first track is steeped in Lake's underground grit. Disclosure's melodic sensibilities shine in the second collaboration, where bluesy keys slink atop infectious house grooves. Neither has confirmed titles or release dates at the time of this writing, but whatever the outcome, this blend of two deeply influential styles signals an exciting chapter for house music.

Wilza keeps his momentum driving forward as he drops his latest Tech House track, ‘U Know It Ain’t Cool’ via his label SwingBeat Records. A quick return following the release of his single, ‘What You See,’ Wilza now brings a fresh take on Bobby Brown’s 1980s hit ‘Don’t Be Cruel,’ offering the second single from his new Jack House swing project in which he works to revitalise the New Jack Swing genre by adding his own contemporary twist.
Taking the skills and experience he has fostered over his long-standing journey within Electronic Music, Wilza has been focussing his creative efforts on this new project; consolidating his influence from RnB and House into a cohesive style, his approach sees him offering listeners a hint of nostalgia whilst infusing refreshing energy into his productions. As he seeks to pay homage to his personal favourites from the 80s and 90s music scene, Wilza emerges with a sound that captures the essence of these influential decades while incorporating modern production techniques: the result, epitomised in this latest single, comes as dancefloor-ready music that appears poised to unite listeners with its familiar yet unique sound.
‘U Know It Ain’t Cool’ envelops the listener in a vibrant sonic landscape: starting with a steady House beat, introducing playful percussive elements, the infectious bassline joins to provide a solid foundation for the track to build against, evolving as pulsing synths, soft chordal progressions, and the vocals of the Bobby Brown original enter. By splicing the vocal lines, adding risers, and developing the rhythmic composition, Wilza elevates the funky vibes of the track, introducing fresh energy with the breakdowns and groovy drops.
Showcasing his ability to blend the past with the present, creating an auditory experience that will appeal to both long-time fans of New Jack Swing and new listeners, ‘U Know It Ain’t Cool’ appears an impactful release in Wilza’s new musical chapter as it serves to indicate his creative promise and sets the stage for future projects.

Former Volt & State member, Quentyn is back with I Wanna Know. The new single from the indie-electronic music artist blends electronic festival-feel melodies with organic indie band sounds.
“I Wanna Know” showcases Quentyn’s signature style; festival-feel melodies are intertwined with the raw, organic sounds typical of indie bands.
Quentyn’s songwriting process is unique; he begins each track on the piano, crafting the perfect melody loop before layering in electronic elements.
This method results in music that is not just for festivals but for moments of introspection and active listening. The tune works when you’re on the road, alone, or during contemplation.
It’s not surprising that early support for “I Wanna Know” has been strong. BBC Music, for instance, has already backed the track.
The song has also gained significant traction on social media, with related content amassing over 300,000 views on Instagram.
The success was also built thanks to a popular solo challenge that has captured the attention of music fans worldwide.
Quentyn describes his music as designed to evoke the feeling of a plot twist in a movie. The sounds are reminiscent of the moment when the underdog triumphs against all odds, fueled by determination and a brilliant master plan.
“I Wanna Know” is no exception, embodying the motivation and strength to take action in life, rather than serving as an escape.

Sara Landry, scorcher of dancefloors and rewirer of minds, has announced her long-awaited debut album, Spiritual Driveby.
As the self-anointed "High Priestess of Hard Techno" prepares to unleash her sonic grimoire, anticipation is building for an album that will crystallize one of the most explosive electronic music breakouts in recent memory. The EDM.com Class of 2024 superstar has built a large and devoted following with her uncompromising approach to the genre, fearlessly pushing the tempo to the bleeding edge on the stages of the world's biggest festivals.
Opening up about the album, Landry paints a picture of techno production that weaves big questions through hyperkinetic rhythms, channeling the invisible threads that bind us all. Her audacious claim? We're unwitting collaborators in this cosmic dance.
"This sonic offering was motivated and inspired by the notion that none of us are alone because we are all energetically linked," Landry said in a press release shared with EDM.com. "Everything we do is interwoven and collaborative, whether we realize it or not. Every musical experience we’ve ever had, every show we’ve been to, every euphoric moment that echoes across time has been a collaborative experience and a stacking of energies."
Spiritual Driveby, Landry adds, was completed after a 15-month period of writer's block. She credits her many collaborators, including Mike Dean, Nico Moreno, Shlømo, Aaron Hibell, LEGZDINA and Alex Farell, for helping break the cycle. The album also features her personal hypnotist, whose haunting vocals appear on its prelude.
Spiritual Driveby is scheduled to release October 4th via Landry's own record label, HEKATE.

Dubbed "the world's wettest party," S2O Festival made a splash over the weekend with its U.S. debut at the Brooklyn Mirage.
One of Asia's premier festival brands, S2O launched in Bangkok back in 2015 and has since hosted larger-than-life festivals in Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea and Vietnam. The festival is beloved for its interactive water effects, which drench fans in euphoria alongside electrifying EDM lineups.
Its organizers are now celebrating a successful—and soaked—stateside debut over Labor Day Weekend. Headliners Marshmello and Subtronics tore up the Brooklyn Mirage alongside Alan Walker, Timmy Trumpet, ARMNHMR, LEVEL UP and a special B2B set between Said The Sky and EDM.com Class of 2021 star William Black, among others.
EDM.com was on the ground to capture all the wringing-wet mayhem.
"I was definitely a bit nervous about the water at first, but I came prepared with a cover for my camera," said Kelly Knisel, who captured the festival for EDM.com. "It ended up being one of the craziest crowd experiences I've had. Everyone there was loving the water blasts! And in true raver fashion, everyone was helping me keep my camera dry and giving me their towels to help dry it off."

In a fascinating twist, three-time World Speedway Champion Tai Woffinden, known for his dominance on the speedway track has now embarked on a thrilling new adventure in the world of electronic music. Inspired by top-tier artists like FISHER and motivated by his natural drive as a professional athlete, Tai is releasing tracks on Armada Music and collaborating with legends like Gabry Ponte.
We caught up with him to explore his fresh perspective on music, balancing life as a DJ, racer, and father, and his plans for the future.
You are best known for your impressive career as a 3x World Speedway Champion, what made you decide to also pursue a career in music?
Well, we have Paul Fisher to thank for that. I went to his festival he did in Australia and his partner Chloe Fisher hooked me up with some backstage passes and I remember thinking he was a pro surfer and look what he’s doing here following his passion for music too.
FISHER inspired me so I locked in and here we are releasing a track on Armada with Gabry Ponte! Life is wild…
What lessons have you carried over from your speedway career into DJing and producing?
I don’t know if there are any lessons, but to be a professional athlete and achieve what I have over the years it takes a certain kind of mindset and drive and I will carry that forward as that the only way I know how to live.
How has the response from the electronic music community been since you began pursuing DJing?
So far so good but were only just getting started!
There’s a famous quote by American basketball legend Shaquile O’Neal that when he’s on stage performing as DJ Diesel, he has the same feeling as a playoff game. Do you also feel that same energy?
I’m not sure yet, because until I play to a 55,000 capacity music crowd, the equivalent of the racing audience at Warsaw Polish Grand Prix, it’s not until then I can truly compare. However, I know one thing, I thrive in them high pressure situations like Diesel did when he was shooting hoops!
How does your background and experience as a professional athlete influence the way you approach music?
Well, like I say I’m good under pressure and I guess the touring aspect of a speedway racer’s life is very aligned with that of a DJ on the road. Just swapping the bikes for decks.
Who is your biggest inspiration when it comes to electronic music?
I love watching Will Sparks perform he always brings great energy. Fred again… is a true musical legend and his skills with instruments is super impressive. Then you have James Hype the master of the decks! There are too many amazing people in the scene to list them all.
You released a track with Gabry Ponte, a legend in the Eurodance scene and best known of course for being part of Eiffel 65, did you (like me) grow up listening to that style of music? What was it like collaborating with him?
I grew up listening to everything that my mum would be blasting on the stereo, often Michael Jackson. My youth days were loading up the skits mix CDs with my mate at the weekends and raving all night while his mum was working night. Then, when I was 16, we jumped the fence to go see Pendulum but my heart is main stage techno.
We sent the track to Gabry’s team and just two days later we got a reply saying that he loved it and wanted to get straight to work on finishing touches. I’m stoked with how it turned out and to have such an enthusiastic reaction from someone of his level is really motivating.
How do you go about balancing being a father, your career in racing and music, vlogging, and creating content on social media?
Ahh yeah some days can be tricky…
Socials are super easy. It only takes 5 min to post. I do all my own stuff, I put the vlogs on the back burner as we’re not allowed to use any race footage so it just did not make sense to do a race day vlog with a few clips of racing. For now, racing and producing works super well it’s a nice balance and allows me to switch off from the racing.
The hardest part is being away from my wife and kids but I’m the provider and I want to give them the best life possible. We home school the kids when we’re in UK so we get so much time with them as we can when I’m home and it allows us to jump on a plane and they can all come so I feel we make the best of it. But my wife Faye is the key, she is very understanding about what I do for a living and she is our rock, the heart of the family!
We have already lived ten lifetimes in the last ten years and I can’t wait for the next ones!
Final question, where would you like to see your music career and racing legacy evolve in the years to come?
There is still more that I want to achieve in the sport so I will continue my path and see where we end up. As for the music scene, I’m only just getting started and if its anything like my racing career it’s gonna be one hell of a ride!

Summer 2024 was one for the books, with dance floors across the globe buzzing with energy and excitement. As festivals lit up the nights and beach parties stretched into the early hours, five artists emerged as the true stars of the season. Here’s a look at the dance artists who absolutely dominated this summer.
1) Charli XCX
Charli XCX has always been a pop sensation, but this summer, she fully embraced the dance music scene—and the results were electric. Her latest album, ‘Hyperdrive’, brought together catchy pop hooks with pulsating electronic beats, creating the perfect soundtrack for the season. Tracks like ‘Glitch in the System’ and ‘Electric Heart’ became instant favorites, blasting from speakers at every major festival.
But it wasn’t just her music that made waves this summer—Charli XCX also sparked a viral movement with her “Brat” persona. Leaning into an unapologetically bold and rebellious image, she encouraged fans to embrace their inner “brat” by being fearless, fun, and a little bit defiant. The #BratMovement quickly took off on social media, with fans posting their own “brat” moments, embodying the carefree and confident attitude Charli promotes.
Charli’s live shows were nothing short of spectacular. Her energy on stage, combined with her innovative sound and bratty flair, made her performances a must-see. By collaborating with top producers, pushing the boundaries of her music, and creating a cultural movement, Charli XCX reminded everyone why she’s a powerhouse in both pop and dance music.
2) Keinemusik
If you were anywhere near a dance floor this summer, you probably felt the deep, hypnotic beats of Keinemusik. This Berlin-based collective—made up of Rampa, &ME, and Adam Port—took their already stellar reputation to new heights in 2024. Their signature blend of house, techno, and Afro-inspired rhythms created an unforgettable vibe wherever they played.
Their track ‘Desert Sun’ was a summer anthem, with its deep basslines and dreamy melodies captivating listeners everywhere. Whether they were performing at an intimate club or on a massive festival stage, Keinemusik delivered sets that transported audiences to another world, making them one of the standout acts of the season.
3) Fisher
Fisher knows how to get a party started, and this summer, he was on fire. The Australian DJ and producer, famous for his infectious house tracks, dropped ‘Shake That’—a track that quickly became the anthem of every beach party and festival. With its catchy hooks and thumping basslines, it was impossible not to dance when Fisher was on the decks.
His live sets were all about having fun, with Fisher’s playful energy and sense of humor shining through. From Ibiza to Miami, Fisher’s name was on everyone’s lips, and his music kept the crowds moving from sunset to sunrise. This summer, he proved once again why he’s one of the biggest names in dance music.
4) Sara Landry
Sara Landry has been quietly making waves in the techno scene, and this summer, she truly broke through. Known for her dark, intense sound, Sara’s music brought a fresh edge to the summer’s dance floors. Her album ‘Rituals’ was a standout, with tracks like ‘Black Mirror’ and ‘Shadow Dance’ becoming underground hits.
Sara’s DJ sets were a deep dive into the darker side of dance music, filled with pounding beats and eerie atmospheres that left audiences entranced. Her ability to blend hard-hitting techno with haunting melodies set her apart, making her one of the most exciting artists to watch this summer.
5) John Summit
John Summit has been on a steady rise in the dance music world, and in 2024, he reached new heights. The Chicago-born DJ and producer had a massive summer, with his album ‘Comfort In Chaos’ dominating playlists and dance floors everywhere.
John Summit’s live sets were pure energy, with a mix of house and tech-house that kept the party going all night long. His connection with the crowd and ability to create an unforgettable vibe made him one of the most in-demand artists of the season.
As summer 2024 comes to a close, these five artists have left a lasting impression on the dance music scene. From Charli XCX’s pop-infused beats to John Summit’s house anthems, each brought their own unique flavor to the summer, making it one of the hottest seasons in recent memory.

A Nevada woman is feeling the heat after Nevada authorities hit her with fines for offering rides to Burning Man.
61-year-old Susie Holland recently shared her story with the Reno Gazette Journal. Holland says Nevada Transportation Authority agents swarmed her car when she arrived to pick up Burners making their way to Black Rock Desert. It turns out her Burners were undercover agents.
Holland says agents searched her car before informing her she could face up to $30,000 in fines. The crime? Apparently, it’s illegal to give rides to Burning Man without a permit.
When Holland went to the impound lot to get her car, she says an attendant told her 18 other cars had been brought in for the same reason. The 61-year-old Reno resident ended up paying $1,500 to both the NTA and the impound lot to get her car back. Holland is still waiting to see how much her fine will be.
“This is (the NTA’s) hunting season. They’re not going to let us know that this is illegal. It doesn’t behoove them in any way,” Holland told the Reno Gazette Journal.
