It didn’t take long for Cercle to announce the first cities and dates for their 2025 Cercle Odyssey Tour. The Parisian production revealed the three first major cities that will host the unique, massive experience that Cercle promises. Summer 2025 will behold all the magic in Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Paris.
Cercle Odyssey
Cercle is widely known for its surreal landscapes and top-notch production — from hot air balloons to a Space Base with a rocketship, and some of the most remote and hauntingly beautiful locations. Each artist offers a one-of-a-kind experience when they perform for Cercle. Starting in April, Cercle Odyssey promises to exceed all expectations. As of now, over 100,000 users have already pre-registered for the presale! We recommend to pre-register ASAP, as there is limited capacity. Mexico City has the earliest dates on April 25-26. Then, Cercle takes over Los Angeles May 9-10. Finally, the tour will make its way to its homebase in Paris May 30-31.
Cercle has an extensive repertoire, from Techno giants Amelie Lens and Nina Kraviz, to Melodic extraordinaires Ben Böhmer and Eli & Fur. We can’t imagine the lineups that will grace these massive shows. We will keep up to date as we find out about more cities and dates.

Rising Japanese duo SUDO debuts on Drumcode with the inspired Real World EP. The brothers Isao and Takashi — the former based in Berlin, while the other holds a forte in their hometown of Kansai-Kobe, Japan — have been grafting away at their craft for many years, never compromising on quality, while eschewing trends. Instead, they’ve patiently created and waited for their opportunity.
Crafting a Unique Soundscape
The journey of SUDO, consisting of brothers Isao and Takashi, is a testament to dedication and artistry. Isao’s base in Berlin and Takashi’s roots in Kansai-Kobe, Japan, have enriched their musical perspective, blending the vibrant Techno scene of Berlin with the unique cultural soundscape of the Asian country. They have spent years perfecting their sound, focusing on depth and quality rather than chasing fleeting trends. Their patience has paid off, culminating in their debut on Drumcode with the Real World EP.
Inspired by Legendary Roots
The duo’s musical roots trace back to Isao’s first vinyl purchase in the ‘90s — a white label they’d later discover to be Underworld’s iconic ‘Rez’. This seminal track ignited a passion that would shape their future sound. The Real World EP channels this inspiration, presenting a trio of tracks that resonate with depth and subtlety. Each track is meticulously crafted to evoke a unique atmosphere, drawing listeners into a transcendent auditory experience.
A Journey Through Sound
The connection with Drumcode was a fortuitous one, and it sparked when Bart Skils shared an early demo of the EP with Adam Beyer. Beyer’s endorsement led to the tracks being featured at major events like Awakenings, Time Warp, and Ultra. The title track, ‘Real World‘, is a deep, trance-inducing composition that pays homage to Underworld’s influence while maintaining a futuristic edge. ‘Construction‘ begins with robust percussive Techno, evolving into a mesmerizing ambient interlude that elevates the track to new heights. ‘Mercury‘ closes the EP with a timeless blend of Techno and Trance, creating a blissful and transcendental listening experience.
When asked about the EP, SUDO shared: “A few years ago, we decided to quit making music that suited the big label’s taste, and concentrate on making music that we were truly and genuinely happy with. We didn’t follow trends, just only concentrated on the music which we wanted to dance to on the dance floor“. And they stress:
SUDO’s Real World EP is more than just a debut; it’s a statement of their artistry and vision. As they continue to carve out their niche in the Electronic music world, this EP stands as a testament to their unwavering commitment to quality and innovation.

What if a Bluetooth speaker, visualizer, living plant and air purifier were all combined into one gadget? That's the magic of the Moss Echo, an innovative piece of audio tech that features real, living moss on a replaceable filter, surrounded by an interactive LED display.
Not only does the gadget look sleek, but its moss improves indoor air quality and significantly reduces carbon dioxide, according to its creators at Moss Lab, who said the unit also minimizes dust in the home by a staggering 90%.
How can moss produce such a massive difference in air quality? The plant has miniature, leaf-like phyllids, which suck up pollutants and emit clean air back into the environment. That means the moss renders the device a powerful purifier in addition to its hi-tech music and light capabilities.
The Moss Echo even comes with a sleek spray bottle for watering. When the moss is sprayed, the mechanism's LED visual display reacts in real-time, and in speaker mode, it reacts to music. Users can also download a dedicated smartphone app, which allows them to customize the interface and display skins, like adorable, animated animal graphics.
The Moss Echo.Moss Lab
When it's time for bed, the Moss Echo's sleep mode automatically turns off its lights and sound. And in the morning, you can wake up with nature-inspired alarms or a calming visual display.
To keep the moss alive, the gadget's creators recommend spritzing it a few times each day. However, the moss is able to survive for up to six months without water and will remain healthy and vibrant for years, even with irregular watering. Replacement filters are available at an additional cost, should you need them.
The Moss Echo is available on Kickstarter for $179 and worldwide shipping is set to commence this November. Watch the device in action below.

From Elvis Presley and Bob Marley to Amy Winehouse and Elton John, big-budget biopics about high-profile musicians have been a major trend in theaters lately. Joining the pack this fall is Pharrell Williams, the iconic founder of N.E.R.D. and The Neptunes, who has shared the trailer for his upcoming biopic, Piece by Piece.
The hip-hop and fashion luminary, however, is taking a different approach than those behind the gritty, intimate filmmaking of his contemporaries. Williams chose to have his story told entirely through LEGO animation for Piece by Piece.
The Lego Group has now released the film's official trailer, in which Williams opens up about his decision to showcase his career in plastic brick form, much to director Morgan Neville's surprise. The trailer provides a LEGO-fied glimpse into his childhood, first recording sessions and collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Timbaland, Jay-Z and more.
As all electronic music fans are wondering, no, the LEGO version of Daft Punk does not appear in the trailer. However, there's still hope to see the legendary French duo in Piece by Piece considering their Grammy-winning collaboration with Williams, "Get Lucky," is featured.

Longtime dance music fans will need no introduction to the legendary Dennis De Laat.
The Dutch producer has been behind some of the biggest club anthems for over two decades. You may remember his huge version of the classic ‘Sound of Violence.’ He has a unique ability to craft sweeping emotional journeys out of synthesized sounds.
His latest release, Figments Of My Mind, sees him team up with talented singer-songwriter Jade PraiZe. The title track is a sublime combination of De Laat’s masterful production and PraiZe’s rich, emotive vocals. Layers of glistening synths ebb and flow underneath PraiZe’s passionate delivery. They create a truly affecting emotional experience.
While impacting on a deep personal level, the original version of ‘Figments Of My Mind‘ also packs enough dance floor energy to move bodies in the club. De Laat strikes that perfect balance between groovy and atmospheric vibes.
The release also features a phenomenal remix from veteran producer Hannes Bieger. Having been at the forefront of the dance scene since the 90s, Bieger’s rework brings out the deeper, more hypnotic elements of the original. Stripping back some of the lead lines allows the atmosphere and vocals to take center stage. It’s a masterclass in remixing from one of the true greats.
Rounding out the package is the aptly named banger ‘Night Rider‘. The song shows De Laat can still throw down hard-hitting peak-time monsters when he wants to. Stripping the production back to bare essentials, he deploys a thunderous kick pattern and crafts an irresistible groove that simply demands you move your feet.
With Figments Of My Mind, Dennis De Laat has gifted us another flawless auditory journey that excites the mind as well as the body. It’s a release that defies genres while encapsulating everything great about dance music.

On May 31st, as everyone geared up towards the first day of June, Australian Bass talent Opiuo teamed up with New Zealander rising star Ashez to unleash their latest single, ‘Underground’. The release of this awesome track efficiently blends unique Bass drops with eloquent, mystical melodies to make it a piece of music that will be on someone’s playlist in an instant. ‘Underground’ is the first single of the upcoming EP, based on the same name as this track, and which will provide a lot of creative grooves that ensure that each bass line will fulfill each listener’s eardrums with happiness.
The EP from Opiuo and Ashez will contain four tracks, including ‘Underground’ itself, and it will come out on June 21st. First, though, click ‘Play’ on the Spotify link to jam out to this exciting new track from a duo that will take Bass music to a whole new world.
How Both Artists Met
Opiou explains how he became great friends with Ashez — through the equally amazing CloZee. He says “Me and Ashez have been very close for years now“. And then further elaborates, “We met via our good friend CloZee (I heard his music while staying at her house one time) and I was instantly like “who is THIS?!”. I played a couple of his songs in my set (I rarely play anyone but my own) and instantly wanted to connect and collaborate. After some internet sessions we met in real life and the creativity just flowed seamlessly. I’m so proud of this music. It’s more moody, and a little darker, but that’s what a good collaboration should be, a bit of both of you mashed into something fresh and new“.

On the other hand, Ashez also shared a few words with us, detailing the process of creating the EP. “Oscar and I became friends after he found my music and reached out. I was stoked as I had been a fan for years, and now I’m even more stoked to announce the release of our EP. We realized pretty quickly we worked extremely well as a team, and our first single release, ‘Bash Plate‘ received so much hype and support. Oscar invited me to come and stay at his place for a week in Byron before a festival we were both playing at, we started a few different projects and have slowly been adding and adjusting them ever since. I’m so excited to release this EP as both Oscar and myself have been playing these tracks out for ages now.“

Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week.
Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.
Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.
Khetama – Believe in Mysteries (Viktor Drzewiecki Remix)
Genre: Tech House, Melodic Techno
The first entry on this week’s NMF is a take on a track which gained quite a bit of traction during the last leg of 2023. First released in November of last year, Khetama‘s ‘Believe in Mysteries‘ was swift to catch the attention of acts such as Marco Carola, Don Diablo, Ritchie Hawtin, and Fatboy Slim.
Out on June 6th, enter Viktor Drzewiecki, who makes a triumphant enter on remix duties for this track, transforming it into a warm, poolside anthem ready to be delivered to your favourite beach club this Summer season ahead. A laid-back Tech House foundation with a bit of Melodic Techno sprinkled on top, you’ll most likely encounter this one out in the wild very soon.
David Forbes – Air Raid
Genre: Tech Trance
How can you say no to a bit of David Forbes? The UK-based Tech Trance maestro has an impressive career, spanning almost 2 decades, and perhaps an even more impressive sound, determined to set any and every dancefloor ablaze. His latest single, ‘Air Raid‘, is no exception to that statement.
Seeing the light of day today via Dreamstate Records, this piece turns heads with its distorted Techno kick, its acid sounds, and overall unmeasurable amounts of power, yet knows how to elegantly introduce a proper Trance breakdown that unites these fierce drops, like a floating bridge just before coming down to Earth.
Will Atkinson feat. Gurli – Calling For You
Genre: Trance
Ben Hemsley’s Bebé Recordings delivers, once again, just what we needed. A summer singalong with a vintage tint, ready for melancholic and party-devoted crowds alike? You will not believe it. An instant classic, dare I say, coming to you from one of the quintessential Knights of Trance: Will Atkinson. I could go on for entire paragraphs, but the truth is, you must listen to this to feel the emotions. No amount of words compares.
Made complete by the spot-on soft-yet-slightly-bittersweet voice of Gurli, the track is a nod to the White Isle, says its author. “‘Calling For You‘ rediscovers that lost essence of Balearic Trance. Your last night in Ibiza, best holiday of your life, surrounded by your mates on a packed dance floor under the CO2 cannons wishing that moment would last forever“, says Atkinson. And we do feel that, for sure.
Jonas Schmidt – Wasted Days
Genre: Future House, Deep House
One of the fastest rising stars from Denmark, Jonas Schmidt has taken the world by storm. He’s no one-hit-wonder, though, for he’s been a part of the industry for over a decade. At his 27 years of age, he’s already closed a couple monumental deals with names such as Universal, Revealed, Black Hole, and Sony.
His latest single aims to embody the feel-good spirit of the warmer Summer days ahead. ‘Wasted Days‘ gets its unique sound from a high-pitched male vocal resting over offbeat, housy Piano chords, friendly EDX-resembling plucks, and an overall hopeful aura. This one is your go-to Future House track when making memories with friends this season.
henrikz & Gianluca Dimeo – When I’m With You
Genre: Deep House
Danish Deep House prodigy henrikz is back, weaving his magic once again. He’s been on quite a high working with Soave, and he’s come back for yet another gigantic tune. His latest offering, ‘When I’m With You‘, is a melodic and raw House collaboration with German producer Gianluca Dimeo.
This delicate, charming, and hypnotic track is our final feature of this week’s New Music Friday, and, yet again, follows the very welcome theme of summery memories, warm smiles and unforgettable nights by the seashore. The various elements that have a role throughout the single are not too much, nor too little: they’re simply perfect in energy to portray a story.

It’s quite amazing to look back and realize that the announcement that Insomniac was bringing Beyond Wonderland to Chicago (June 1 + 2) was all the way back in 2023. The city and our industry have been going through many changes since the pandemic and are still trying to find their footing. We do have some ol’ reliables such as Lollapalooza, North Coast, and ARC Music Festival. But there have been a few festivals that have come in, stayed a year or two, and left for various reasons. So when Beyond was announced, many were optimistic, although it was also hard to look away from past writings on the wall. So when June 1st arrived and many started the trek to Huntington Pavilion right on the lakefront, no one really knew what to expect.
However, we’re proud to say that it was an incredible event even factoring in the consistent and intense rain that fell all Saturday and the mud that it stirred on the second day. Despite the mud pits, it was extremely enjoyable to be a part of, arguably, the most memorable and well-produced Insomniac event in the Midwest since EDC Chicago in 2013.
Venue Layout + Vibes
The rain did feel very eerily similar to TomorrowWorld 2015 (RIP). Upon arriving at the festival gates at 2 PM for opening, many attendees were huddled together under ponchos and umbrellas. But, there was a line at security of the die-hards that were willing to brave the rain to see their favorite artists. The toes were tapping already to the music that began to play as we were let in.
After taking in the grounds, the set-up was brilliant. The venue has one established main stage for shows during the season. The other 3 stages were built and spaced perfectly with virtually nonexistent sound bleed. It took only a couple minutes to get from stage to stage. While Chicago hosts an array of genre-loving fans who range in friendliness, there were only positive vibes and smiles all around. In fact, I saw strangers helping each other out of the mud and exchanging contact info after laughing it off. On the flip side, Sunday’s weather was immensely gorgeous. The sun brought out the attendees who designed outfits to go with the Alice In Wonderland theme.
There were many places to go explore, relax, do, see, and experience. The sound at each stage was by far the best that we’ve had in the city in a very long time (could not hear your neighbors’ conversations, amazing). There was plenty of room to find a spot whether you were solo or with a group. Now, let’s dive into the music attendees got to hear through the amazing sound systems.
Lineup Standouts
As I mentioned before, the Chicago crowd does, indeed, love the local House music. But there are many others that EDM fans adore. So when this lineup dropped and we all saw the intense variety that was set to come here, it was exhilarating. The headliners included Kaskade, Svdden Death, Jai Wolf, Chris Lorenzo, Tiësto, REZZ, Of The Trees, and Eli Brown. Underneath those spectacular names, the weekend hosted some insane firsts and also memorable sets. We heard REZZ play out her 2024 edition of “Edge” and Oliver Heldens bringing Maddix up to premier their new collab. Audien and Jason Ross went B2B for the first time ever (and it was incredible – a weekend favorite). Benny Benassi played all of his legendary tracks and Trivecta played his heart out through the rain with his guitar, hyping the crowd up as it stormed on.
We also had a great drum and bass lineup with Dimension, Kanine, and Reaper. The stages were full for RL Grime and Kayzo, of course. Alesso had the crowd singing to the classics during his Sunday night set as well as Daily Bread and SoDown bringing the funk as the sun started setting. Alesso also hit up Radius for an afterparty with his other project, BODY HI. Caterpillar’s Garden was full of House and Techno lovers shielding themselves from the rain and dancing around despite the wet clothes and hair.
I’ve been around the music scene for well over a decade. It had been a second since I’d found myself wanting to be at many stages at once when there were timetable conflicts. And Beyond Wonderland Chicago put me back into my early years of wanting to see as much music as I could. It was very refreshing. The local artists threw down right away and the headliners wrapped each day up perfectly. As I woke up on Monday, I was ready to replay the weekend right away!
So, 2025? YEP!
Lastly, some great news came out yesterday regarding the future of this Midwest festival. Social media was buzzing to see that Insomniac announced that the festival is already slated to return in 2025 on June 7th and 8th. It will be held in the same location. Tickets are already on sale! Payment plans are available beginning at just $9.99 down – take a look at the info here. Lock in your tickets! The word is spreading quickly about just how fantastic the entire weekend was. We’re glad it’s here to stay for the foreseeable future.

“Girls don’t need nobody.”
It’s an infectious chant that has quickly invited mass sing-alongs at festivals like Coachella. But “girls don’t need nobody” isn’t just a catchy phrase. It’s a statement, which captures the sentiment of a generation redefining love and relationships.
girl’$’: A Song Inspired by Dating Frustration and Modern Choice
Australian DJ Dom Dolla‘s first single of the year, ‘girl$‘, dropped June 7th on Three Six Zero Recordings, Ministry Of Sound UK, and Sony Music ANZ, and it is more than just a dance floor anthem — it’s a rallying cry for navigating the modern dating scene.
“‘girl$’ was inspired by a conversation I had with a bunch of friends who were all tired of bad dates. They were giving up on the whole charade,” Dom shared. “In ‘24, we have so much choice. Nobody is limited by who they want to love or spend time with, whether that’s a guy, girl, or even just relish in their own company.”
Collaboration & Inspiration: Dom Dolla on the Song’s Creation
Fan videos featuring the song have already amassed over 46 million views, proving the global resonance of this anthem for independence.
Dom adds, “I wrote the lyrics based upon a story a friend relayed to me about a wild night out she had. I recorded it and heavily affected my vocals, but felt it needed a strong female performance, so I reached out to my good pal Caitlin Stubbs and asked if she was keen to re-perform the vocal. Her voice is fantastic and suits the record so well. I even left some crumbs of my vocal in there too.”
From Vegas to Ibiza: Dom Dolla Rides the Momentum
Dom Dolla continues his incredible momentum from 2023, with performances slated across the UK and EU, including stops at Tomorrowland Belgium and Ibiza’s Ushuaïa night club this summer. He’s currently in the midst of a Las Vegas residency at LIV in Fontainebleau. Tickets for Dom’s Australian tour instantly sold 150,000 numbers, months in advance.

This one is pure Argentinian ear candy. Don’t miss out on it.
Double prize today for those who love some good ‘ole Progressive Trance tunes. Right as we were wrapping up our Friday, something popped up on the radar — or rather, someone: Tomas Abester. And after giving the Digital Drift album a proper listen, this one feels like the worthy successor to close the day on quite a high.
We’ve had him on here a couple of times already, not long ago when he released his Gallant debut ‘Altares‘, and earlier, when he unleashed ‘Year Of The Dragon‘ alongside Ren Faye. A core rising element of the Argentinian scene, his sound has got to heights from the likes of Paul van Dyk, JES, and many more.
His latest single, ‘Runa’, is out now, and boy is it a belter.
‘Runa’
Following a string of releases, ‘Runa’ is Abester’s arrival at Antima Music, carrying his iconic sounds over to new destinations. The essence of his craft is untouched, though, pairing potent growls and hard-hitting drops with delicate, verge-of-tears atmospheres, for the ultimate sonic combo.
As is the norm with his pieces, this tune also has a special meaning behind it, which goes beyond the mere musical aspect of the arrangement and offers answers as to why the title is what it is:
The first thing you’ll notice is how strong the kick-snare link is. As the song unfolds you’ll start to hear less of the beat and dive into the break, which is bound to captivate you through the clever use of pulsing distant sounds, an upfront melody, and that mysterious whisper Abester mentions. We’re over the moon with this one.
Listen to Tomas Abester‘s ‘Rune‘ by hitting the ‘Play’ button on your Spotify player attached below. Otherwise, don’t hesitate to visit this link to support the release on your platform of choice. And stay tuned to our page for the latest news and views from our beloved Dance music world.

UK duo Solardo and it's murph have joined forces for a new house track, "Fetish," released on the former's own Sola Records.
When Solardo arrived LA, they entered a session together for the first time, according to murph. During that initial meeting, they listened to parts of a four-hour Solomun extended set, which sparked the inspiration for "Fetish."
Inspired by the techno and house music icon's work, they completed the track in just eight hours. So they decided to release the track, which they maintain was specifically produced for dancefloors rather than mainstream appeal, to coincide with the closing of Miami's iconic Club Space for the summer.
Underpinned by the seductive vocals of ero808, the beat of "Fetish" grooves with gritty drums and textured synths. It's dark and captivating, the perfect soundtrack for a sweaty, underground dancefloor.

Framework’s recent event in Exposition Park featuring Solomun, Nala, and Julia Sandstorm introduced an innovative and unique stage design and custom visual production.
The original show was scheduled in Oxnard, California, at the Mandalay Generating Station. The custom-built stage was designed to resemble a power plant, as the production company had to improvise due to a location change. Framework did an excellent job. The stage included projection mapping of power plant imagery, creating an immersive experience for the audience. The stage also featured Tesla coils, which produced lightning effects in rhythm with the music.
Pyrotechnics and smoke machines were also utilized to enhance the atmosphere. Visuals were mixed live, responding to the music in real time without prior rehearsal with the artists. Anyone with an eye for production technology would recognize the work and detail that was put into the stage design, specifically the visual effects.
While the visuals and production technology were certainly impressive, so was the 6-hour set from Solomun. The DJ/Producer is relatively famous for his lengthy marathon-like DJ performances.
Framework is returning to the Expo Lawn West consistently this summer with performances by Hot Since 82 for Knee Deep in Los Angeles, Anjunadeep Open Air Los Angeles, Nora En Pure Presents Purified featuring Justin Martin and Worakls,

If you enjoy a good club anthem but also heavy bass, Doctor P's new single, "Nicotine Baby," might be just the song for you.
The fresh track is rooted in dubstep, but its producer, one of the genre's most influential, has intentions of going far beyond a singular stylistic classification.
"I really wanted to make a crossover between dubstep and hyperpop," Doctor P said in a statement. "KLEO PATRA's vocals really brought the track to life. I had a lot of fun making this one with her."
Off the rip, "Nicotine Baby" picks up steam with eerie bells and chimes followed by KLEO PATRA's lustful lyricism, which paints a hot-blooded picture of energy pulsing between two people. Her vocals then lead to an intense bass drop, fit to make listeners move with excitement and fluidity. This ebb and flow carries throughout the arrangement, cycling between ethereal vocal riffs and choppy bass.
"Nicotine Baby" is out now via Circus Records, which Doctor P co-founded alongside fellow dubstep veteran Flux Pavilion. The new single is likely to be heard on his upcoming tour, which kicks off on June 8th before sweeping across Virginia Beach, Dallas, Philadelphia, Tucson and finally Tempe on July 13th.

The best moments on a dance floor are usually that for me."
