Layton Giordani is back, and this time he's bringing pure nocturnal energy straight to the dancefloor.
With his new single, "Freaks At Night," the techno tastemaker aptly captures the essence of those unforgettable nights out. With dark, modulated pluck synths that weave in and out of powerful techno kicks, Giordani's latest is a DJ's secret weapon for the late night hours.
The track's distinct resonance on the vocal pause creates a moment of suspense as the echoes filter into the ether, leaving you hanging just long enough before the rhythm kicks back in. Giordani has been known to produce cinematic atmospheres with his music and "Freaks At Night" is a full-blown showcase.
To that end, "Freaks At Night" is just the latest triumph for Giordani, who is riding high off the recent success of his collaborative remix of "Last Night" alongside Anyma. With its similarly cinematic flair, that track has been an early favorite among DJs taking on the festival circuit this summer, given its ability to captivate audiences and bring a unique energy to any techno or house set.
"Freaks At Night" is out now via Adam Beyer's Drumcode. Listen below and find the new single on streaming platforms here.

Grammy-winning live electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL are back, unveiling their highly anticipated new single “Music is Better” via Rose Avenue/Warner Records.
The group first premiered the song during their headline DJ set at Coachella earlier this year and it marks RÜFÜS DU SOL’s first new music since their 2021 Grammy-nominated album, Surrender. The long-awaited single captures the themes of hope, intimacy, and connection that have long defined the RÜFÜS universe while showcasing a more expansive and ambitious sound than ever before.
“Music is Better” offers a window into a new creative groove for the band, a new era that is defined by creating from the now and enjoying the process, continuing to create art that binds organic and electronic. The single adds to a catalogue that soundtracks life’s most formidable moments for an entire generation of music fans – from heartbreak to romance, euphoria and despair.
In the three years since Surrender was released, RÜFÜS DU SOL won a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording in 2022 for lead single “Alive,” were twice-nominated the following year for Best Dance/Electronic Album and earned their fifth ARIA award in Australia. The band circled the globe appearing at festivals across Europe and South America, and brought Surrender to the stages of iconic North American venues like New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. The band also launched their boutique Sundream Festival, which held its second edition in San José del Cabo in 2023.
Already this year, band members Jon George and James Hunt enticed fans with DJ sets at Coachella and an unannounced pop-up at Lightning in a Bottle. “Music is Better” arrives ahead of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s only live show this year, headlining Portola Festival in San Francisco on September 28.

Recently, the world got to hear the first new music from Copenhagen’s master of dream pop, Trentemøller, since 2022. “A Different Light” dropped on May 17th, showcasing a stunning blend of psychedelia, space rock, and folk. Additionally, a new full-length was announced: Dreamweaver will be available in September, on Friday the 13th, on Trentemøller’s own In My Room label.
The second preview from the new album is the “Dreamweavers” single. Whereas “A Different Light” featured no drums, relying on a plucked nylon string guitar to provide rhythm, “Dreamweavers” finds its first footings with a soft percussive trot. It starts after what feels like a shortwave radio scan in search of the right chords, eventually dialling in a weightless voice. With the test roll of the song approved, the rest of the elements assemble into place with a grand, luxurious burst.
It would be easy to ride this wave for eternity, but the third section of this micro suite develops into a push/pull relationship of arpeggio and woozy synth pads. Little by little, almost imperceptibly, subtle elements emerge, like a morning glory climbing a trellis, with buds emerging as it tracks along its winding path in the pre-dawn. Then, with a burst of sunlight, a thousand buds of melody bloom as the song reaches its climax. Eventually, with no foreshadowing, the tendrils wind around the radio’s capacitors and the song short-circuits.
The music is the work of Trentemøller, while the vocal performance and abstract lyrics come courtesy of Iceland’s Disa, who has been in Trentemøller’s orbit since the Memoria tour, where she stunned audience members with her own reimagined versions of songs from the catalogue. Additionally, Disa contributed to 2022’s “Into The Silence,” as well as Trentemøller’s nod to his old friends The Raveonettes, a cover of their “Cops On Our Tail.”
While the song has a melancholic feel that fans of his music are familiar with, “I also feel it’s got a hopeful element to it,” says Trentemøller. “It ponders love, connections, and intimacy. It’s not a sad song, even if there’s always an unavoidable feeling that relationships can be fleeting.”

With a techno pulse that's both hauntingly beautiful and undeniably dancefloor-worthy, Kaskade and John Summit's new single "Resonate" lives up to its name.
While Summit is newer to the game than his tenured counterpart, both producers have proven themselves architects of anguished, vocal-driven festival anthems that cut to the heart. The awe-inspiring "Resonate" is no different, exploring our innate need for connection—both personal and cosmic—by melding techno futurism with raw human emotion.
With undulating bass that churns beneath teeth-rattling kick drums, the production is a masterclass in atmospheric yet hard-hitting dance music. But amongst the mayhem, there's a profound intimacy in the lyrics, delivered by a typically breathtaking Julia Church. "Feel like I've been with you from the start," she quavers.
It's a tour de force from Church, who is quickly blossoming into one of the global dance music scene's most in-demand vocalists. Soaring over Kaskade and Summit's pulsing basslines, her vocals paint vivid imagery of celestial wonder while evoking a burning desire to share perspectives and be fully present: "I want to see it through your eyes / The moon, the stars and the sky / Slowly letting go of time."
Following a massive road-test during Summit's Coachella 2024 set, the new single arrives ahead of the breakout house music producer's long-awaited debut album, Comfort In Chaos. He said the album, which is due out on July 12th, is the "most vulnerable work" of his career.

According to The Information reports, Apple has suspended work on the second-generation Vision Pro headset. This was done to focus on the cheaper model. Considering the first model cost $3,500, this is not all too surprising. There are not many people on this planet willing to spend that type of money on a headset. I think we all were on the same page to wait it out as the technology will only get better and cheaper.
Apple has told at least one supplier the news which led to these rumors. Analysis and supply chain partners have flagged slow sales for the Vision Pro 1. The company is currently working on releasing a more affordable vision product in 2025. Apple was originally going to make two models similar to its iPhone line with a “Pro” model and a “standard” model.
The objective is to sell the cheaper model for around the same price as a high-end iPhone, which retails for up to $1,600. Apple has produced no more than 500,000 Vision Pro units this year, with no plans to make significantly more than this through August.

Google has an artificial intelligence (AI) lab, DeepMind, and it has taken their video content, as well as movie and TV production, to a whole new level. According to a blog post that DeepMind posted, the lab has made progress on their video-to-audio (V2A) technology. This type of technology combines video pixels and text prompts to generate outstanding soundtracks to enhance video content. On that blog post, DeepMind also shared that their V2A technology can pair with video generation models such as Veo and they can “create shots with a dramatic score, realistic sound effects or dialogue that matches the characters and tone of a video”.
The V2A technology from Google’s DeepMind brings out innovation for video content
According to a post from Music Business Worldwide, The V2A technology from DeepMind can generate a vast amount of soundtracks for video input so that it can “understand raw pixels”. In this way, the tech can figure out which sounds are appropriate to utilize for the specific video content. For example, if someone put down “jellyfish pulsating under water, marine life, ocean” (check out that specific audio prompt by clicking on the first link above), they can see a video of jellyfish moving around in the ocean. DeepMind even added that it also generate soundtracks for a range of other traditional footage as well such as silent films and archival footage. This is definitely a whole big step in the industry of AI-created audio and production and DeepMind is for sure an innovator in this field. Check out another prompt from YouTube below this paragraph.

Last year, after 23 years of legendary parties, the Fibre crew made the decision to launch their in-house record label Fibre Records with one clear mission – “To release dance floor filling tracks that embody the unique and captivating sound experienced week after week at Fibre”. A mission So Sweet E.P most certainly has achieved. ALready finding favour with the world’s leading DJ’s.

The French production duo 2smile returns with a remix package of their chart topping release “Tribute To Frikkyo“. The original mix pays homage to the late DJ ‘Da Frikkyo,’ who was an influential figure in the Italian hard techno scene. The mix seamlessly blends exhilarating guitars and rich basslines with poignant sampled vocals from the legendary Fela Kuti which amplifies the vibe.
The Ondawey Music bosses revisit this stand out single with 2 fantastic new remixes featuring Alex Fixman and a defined Afro Rework from the label heads themselves. Combining the hypnotic groove of the original, featuring a sub heavy bass and a chest pounding kick drum, Alex Fixman takes ‘Tribute To Frikkyo’ to a slightly darker territory with this Techno inspired, breakbeat infused reimagining that’s assured to hit heavy on the dancefloors across the world.
Following in suit, 2smile showcase their inimitable production prowess with a striking Afro Rework of their original production. With its rhythmic beefy drum patterns paired with experimental guitar riffs that evolve throughout the piece, the Ondawey Music heads present an approach that is more direct than the original and leaves room for further experimentation with well-timed effects and overall groove.
“Tribute To Frikkyo” has been a stand out track for the pair to date, earning the support of some of the industries biggest players including industry heavyweights such as Laurent Garnier, Terry Francis, Deer Jade, Mike Van Brugge, Paco Osuna, Steve Lawler, and Don Diablo.
Following a string of successive releases on their growing Ondawey Music imprint, 2smile have been actively blending styles spanning across Melodic Techno, Tech House, and Afro House and showcasing dexterity with quality productions. With an Arsenal of over 100 unreleased tracks to date, and  fluidly mixing genres whilst incorporating elements of musical influences from across the world, 2smile’s consistent output of high calibre, club ready floor fillers combined with their abundant stage presence solidifies their position as one of the most exciting emerging acts to watch this year.

World-renowned electronic music venue Sub Club has teamed up with local brewer Brewgooder to create its very own lager.
Launching Saturday, June 22, the crisp and refreshing Sub Club Dazzle Lager will be sold exclusively behind the bar at the Jamaica Street venue and its rooftop bar – and not only will the 4.5% easy drinking session lager work as the perfect partner for the dancefloor, but each can enjoyed will help to nurture the next generation of musical talent, too.
For each can sold Sub Slub and the Brewgooder Foundation will donate 5p each to the Dazzle Project, raising more than £5,000 per annum for the programme, which aims to create equality of opportunity in the dance and electronic music scene in Glasgow and beyond through skills workshops.
Delivered in partnership with The Sound Lab, the Dazzle Project provides six weeks of introductory-level tuition, aimed at breaking down barriers for individuals who wouldn’t otherwise get the opportunity. With touring DJs, producers and guest speakers from across the industry, addressing topics such as securing DJ residencies, the role of club nights, music communities and local radio, gender barriers, marketing, label management and many others.
By the end of the six weeks, the aim is to provide participants with the means to articulate their taste through DJing and provide the early, necessary information and skills to begin exploring their own electronic music journey. The broad aim of the Dazzle Project is to contribute to structural change in the music industry and improve the representation of marginalised groups in Scotland.
Sub Club, Managing Director, Mike Grieve said: “With a long-standing ambition to have our own lager in the club, and having worked closely with Brewgooder over the last couple of years, it makes perfect sense for us to align our brands with this project as we share the common ethos of adding positive purpose to our commercial activities.
“The Dazzle Project is still in its infancy but already from the first exploratory series of workshops we have seen real-life success with participants going on to do paid gigs and set up their own events. The additional funding this great new lager will provide will help bring more bright new talent to the fore, and we are really excited to get started – and as an added bonus, the new Subbie lager looks and tastes fantastic!”
Brewgooder co-founder James Hughes said: “Having worked with the Sub Club team for a couple years now, there has always been alignment of ethos and values. So when we learned about their Dazzle Project, we saw an obvious opportunity to collaborate and produce not only a great looking and tasting product but also a house beer that will forever exist to enable better opportunities for others, which entirely aligns with the purpose we founded Brewgooder on back in 2016.”
Paul Sullivan, Chair of The Sound Lab, said: “The Sound Lab exists to make access to music and creative opportunities accessible to everyone. We specialise in supporting young people who face multiple and enduring systemic, cultural, and financial barriers to accessing music. We want to make music available to everyone, not just a privileged few. Every year, through our free, expert tuition and mentoring, we support hundreds of young people to gain vital skills and opportunities which they may otherwise be prevented from accessing.
“We are delighted to be part of the Dazzle Project and supporting equitable access to the electronic music industry. Sub Club have been fantastic partners and it’s so important that Scotland’s most famous music venue is living true to the ethos of supporting underground music. Dazzle is the perfect vehicle for this and we are so excited to be part of its next stage.”

Moore Kismet's "Overthinking Out Loud" is a raw, honest glimpse into the mind of an artist unafraid to confront their inner demons and share that vulnerability with the world.
With their latest release, the EDM.com Class of 2021 inductee has once again pushed the boundaries of their artistic expression. As Kismet continues to rise, their willingness to tackle difficult emotions and share their journey through dance music sets them apart.
Out now via UKF, "Overthinking Out Loud" is a product of Kismet's exploration of their mental health and self-doubt, wrapped in a meticulously crafted soundscape. The vibrant track is a candid explication, Kismet says, of the tempestuous nature of their mind on any given day.
"'Overthinking Out Loud' is a song about my mind and the onslaught of anxious, depressive, and otherwise random thoughts that run through my mind about what people's perceptions of me are, if it's worth it to continue pursuing music as a career, and if I should even keep living my life," Kismet said. "I wanted to write a song that encapsulated these feelings and put them into sound."
Kismet's latest contribution to the UKF catalogue comes amid the label's landmark 15 year anniversary. Take a listen to the new single below and find it on streaming platforms here.

Electronic music producer Johannes Brecht is getting back to his jazz beginnings on his forthcoming album Disparaître.
After making a name for himself over the last decade as part of the Diynamic Music family, touring alongside acts like Solomun and Stimming, Brecht is now revisiting his origins in jazz with a new experimental album merging electronic and acoustic sounds.
For Disparaître, due out June 28th, Brecht has reunited with his old jazz ensemble featuring Antonio Farris on keys and Matteo Capreoli on acoustic guitar. The trio first came together 15 years ago in Stuttgart, bonding over their shared love of jazz and performing weekly gigs at local venues. Though they went their separate ways for many years, with Brecht becoming an acclaimed electronic artist, something drew him back to reconnect with his former bandmates.
The new song, Call Me Monday
The latest single “Call Me Monday” is a tantalizing preview of the album’s genre-blurring sound. A pulsing techno beat anchors the track, while organic instrumentation dances around it in an improvisatory fashion. The acoustic and electronic elements converse and react to each other, capturing the energy and spontaneity of a live jazz group.
On Disparaître, Brecht aims to let the music take the spotlight, with the individual personas disappearing into the collaborative ensemble. It’s a departure from his renowned solo work, but also a circular journey back to his jazz roots reinterpreted through the lens of his electronic career.
The inventive merging of acoustic and programmed sounds promises to make Disparaître one of the summer’s most intriguing albums for fans of forward-thinking, genre-defying music.
With “Call Me Monday,” Johannes Brecht is getting the reunion band back together and embarking on an exciting new creative path.
