Along with this music video, SHAB has been announced as an ambassador for the UK-based charity Choose Love, which supports refugees worldwide. As a refugee herself, SHAB fled Iran and rebuilt her life in the US, making her an authentic voice for the cause. She will donate all profits from her upcoming album to the charity, joining other high-profile supporters like Harry Styles and Dua Lipa. SHAB’s personal journey from arriving in the US alone with a single suitcase to becoming a global star has fueled her advocacy for women’s rights in Iran and support for displaced people. As someone who has walked the path of a refugee, I know firsthand the challenges faced by displaced people around the world. I myself have been a refugee as well as a displaced person, having been forced by the circumstances of my homeland to seek a better life,” said SHAB. “When we choose to shelter the homeless and feed the hungry, such acts fulfill directives that cross both cultures and religions. I can tell you from my personal experience that where the need is so great, serving these people In such great deed is the most human of actions. To be a refugee is to carry the weight of loss, but also the strength of survival. It is an honor to help others in their darkest moments, for in extending a hand, we uphold the dignity of humanity and remind each other that hope and love still exists. Choose Love’s work goes beyond providing essential aid—it restores hope, dignity, and humanity. Anyma has revealed the whole lineup for his innovative residency, “The End of Genesys,” at the technologically advanced Sphere in Las Vegas.
From December 27, 2024, until January 11, 2025, the residency will feature a carefully selected roster of electronic music’s best performers. Each one of them will add their own flair to go with Anyma’s creative ‘Genesys’ performance. Let’s explore the outstanding lineup Anyma will be accompanied on this revolutionary trip.

December 27, 2024: Dixon and Mike Dean
Starting with two heavyweights of their own scenes, the residency opens with great force.
Berlin-based DJ and producer Dixon has long been a headman in the underground electronic music scene. Renowned for his deftly created, expressive sets spanning several subgenres of house and techno, Dixon’s involvement sets a high benchmark for the opening night of the residency. His capacity for narrative-driven performances fits the immersive character of the Sphere exactly and promises a trip that will enthrall viewers all through.
Joining Dixon is Mike Dean, a name that some electronic music purists may find shocking but delights others familiar with his boundary-pushing work. Working with musicians like Kanye West and Travis Scott, Dean has molded the sound of hip-hop and pop music over decades as a famed producer and multi-instrumentalist. His recent trips into electronic music creation and live performance have highlighted a special fusion of modern production methods with analog synthesizers. Dean’s participation brings a cross-genre experimenting element that exactly captures the residency’s forward-looking attitude.

Dec 28, 2024: Chris Avantgarde B2B Rebūke and Amelie Lens
Three musicians representing the more rigorous, darker side of electronic music gather on the second night.
Amelie Lens is rising quickly to become among techno’s most sought-after DJs and producers. Her unrelenting, high-energy sets have made her a festival favorite; her productions on Second State and her own EXHALE imprint have helped to define the sound of modern techno. Lens is the ideal fit for the Sphere’s immersive environment because of her mesmerizing, driving rhythms, which allow her to command enormous audiences.
The evening also boasts an interesting back-to-back set between Chris Avantgarde and Rebūke. Renowned for his cinematic style of techno and house, Chris Avantgarde gives his DJ performances and creations grandeur and passion. Conversely, Rebūke is revered for his unvarnished, forceful approach that combines aspects of techno, house, and rave.
December 29, 2024: Charlotte de Witte and Cassian B2B Kevin de Varies
The third evening of the residency finds a mix of melodic house and hard-hitting techno.
Among the most identifiable personalities in modern techno is Charlotte de Witte. Her uncompromising sound—which features dark, atmospheric soundscapes and pummeling rhythms—has made her a headliner at big events and venues all around. De Witte’s set at the Sphere is definitely a highlight; her understated yet strong aesthetic fits the modern sound system of the venue.
For a B2B conference, Cassian and Kevin de Vries make an interesting combo. Australian producer and DJ Cassian is well-known for his expressive, melodic house and techno style. Kevin de Vries, meanwhile, has become well-known for his original mix of techno and trance influence.
Dec 30, 2024: Rampa and Parisi
The roster moves toward the deeper, more introspective side of electronic music as the residency draws near the New Year.
One-third of the praised Keinemusik group, Rampa offers the Sphere his elegant fusion of house and techno. Rampa is well-known for his sophisticated productions and deftly created DJ performances; his music frequently has an emotional depth that would fit the immersive arena.
The Italian team, Parisi consists of brothers Marco and Giampaolo Parisi, who contribute their own musical viewpoint to the evening. Parisi’s concert looks to be among the most varied and boundary-pushing of the residency, with a sound that combines elements of techno, pop, and world music and draws from their classical music background.
December 31, 2024: Massano and Adriatique
Two performers renowned for their capacity to produce spectacular dancefloor experiences come together on New Year’s Eve.
Masters of melodic house and techno, the Swiss pair Adriatique has made a name for themselves with their X brand, which features a narrative arc and emotional resonance.
Rising talent Massano matches Adriatique’s dreamy, haunting approach to melodic techno. Massano participation on this important evening of the residency reflects Anyma’s dedication to presenting both seasoned names and fresh, fascinating potential.

January 1, 2025: Tiësto and Argy
The first day of 2025 marks the residence turning toward more mainstream-friendly sounds while keeping its cutting-edge credibility.
A real icon of electronic dance music, Tiësto needs minimal introduction. Over three decades of work have let Tiësto constantly change his sound from trance pioneer to pop-crossover hitmaker. He fits the spectacle of the Sphere naturally because of his capacity to interact with large audiences.
Argy’s presence guarantees that even as the residency draws a larger audience, it stays anchored in legitimate, forward-looking dance music. Known for his powerful DJ sets and creations ranging from deep, dubby house to pounding techno.
January 10, 2025: Sebastian Ingrosso and Script
The residency keeps getting interesting.
One-third of the great Swedish House Mafia, Sebastian Ingrosso delivers to the Sphere his stadium-sized sound. For almost ten years, Ingrosso’s productions and DJ sets— Solo or as part of SHM—have defined the electronic music scene. With the presence at Anyma’s Residency, Sebastian Ingrosso has announced the launch of a new project, and shift on his musical style.
Combining with Ingrosso is Script, a rising star in the techno and melodic house scenes. Ingrosso’s more maximalist approach is interestingly counterpointed by Script’s emotional, story-driven approach to producing and DJing, therefore guaranteeing a night of varied and intriguing music.

January 11, 2025: CamelPhat and Layton Giordani
The residency ends with a lineup capturing the whole gamut of modern house and techno.
One of the most popular crossover artists in dance music, CamelPhat—the Grammy-nominated Liverpool pair—have emerged.  Their set looks to be a suitable ending for the residency, bridging the divide between creative integrity and financial success.
Representing the forward edge of modern techno, Layton Giordani finishes off the lineup. Giordani’s strong, driving sound on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label combines elements of traditional techno, trance, and even some EBM cues.
Anyma and the team behind “The End of Genesys” residency have produced a program reflecting the whole range of modern electronic music in arranging this varied and star-studded roster.
This residency is likely to be a turning point in the history of electronic music events when combined with the modern technologies of the Sphere and Anyma’s creative audio-visual presentation.

Producing house music with bass that bites back, Merow has released her debut EP on Martin Garrix's STMPD RCRDS.
The Dutch DJ and producer pulls no punches in BASS RELATED VOL. 1, which features three tracks. Dripping with adrenaline, each one pulsates with dark, driving rhythms tailored for peak-time dancefloor moments.
From the animalistic energy of "The Moshpit" to the raw, unrelenting rhythms of "To The Beat," Merow's gritty production grabs you by the throat and drags you into the heart of a warehouse rave. While firmly rooted in bass house, she incorporates subtle influences from UK garage music, adding depth and texture.
The EP's cohesive sound demonstrates a clear vision for Merow's musical identity. She says the project is the upshot of her first international summer tour, a personal triumph that's led to her most creative work yet.
"Working on this EP during my tour was such a special process for me," Merow said in a statement shared with EDM.com. "I had the chance to experiment with new sounds, combining bass elements with different grooves. One of the most exciting things was creating a tempo-change track with a UK Garage influence, which was something I hadn't done before."

Last week, we kicked off our Black History Month series with an insightful extract from Join The Future: Bleep Techno and the Birth of British Bass Music by Matt Anniss. This week, we’re moving forward to an era that defined a whole new wave of bass music: dubstep.
For week two, we’re proud to present an extract from Drumz Of The South: The Dubstep Years (2004-2007) by Georgina Cook. This iconic photography book was the first to capture the early days of dubstep in stunning detail, featuring over 200 photos that chronicle the scene from underground nights like FWD>> at Plastic People and DMZ, to pirate radio stations like Rinse FM. Cook’s lens captured the rise of pioneering producers, DJs, and MCs like Skream, Benga, Mala & Coki, Burial, Loefah, Plastician, Kode9, Hatcha & Crazy D, Skepta, Wiley, and Sgt Pokes.
This collection brings us face-to-face with the raw energy and vibe of the early dubstep scene, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. Take a look the visual history of a movement that forever changed the sound of bass.

“As a child of an immigrant, you are born into community. It’s within your DNA and imprinted in your soul at every family gathering and with every morsel of food. It’s no surprise that it seeps into your approach to business. A life spent navigating the opinions of aunties, uncles and extended family makes you hyper-aware of the power of listening and the magic that occurs when you bring people together and the bar of excellence is set high.
When people ask me what I do for a living I used to tell them I build, nurture and grow communities but if I’m honest the word “community” doesn’t sit well with me anymore. It’s become a buzzword for brands to sell products by people who’ve never really been part of a community but are great at pushing numbers around. So, if anything these days I’m more concerned with building movements that empower people to bring change to themselves and by doing so, the people around them. Movements that can exist without the help of outsiders and are self-sufficient, much like Run Dem Crew, which is the movement I’m most known for. An Urban Run Collective I founded in 2007, it has since morphed into a global movement much like the music and scenes that came out of the basement incubator we fondly refer to as Plastic People.”

Electronic music intertwines with the heart-racing thrill of competition in Midnight In Amsterdam's latest release, "Time."
The track is a one-of-a-kind rallying cry, an anthem crafted to echo through both nightclubs and arenas where the basslines and the gameplay are equally fierce. The production trio's new release sees them teaming up on an official anthem with the esports organization mCon, who presently hold the championship Benelux title in League of Legends.
Embodying the rush of victory and the frenzy of a packed dancefloor, "Time" is a genre-defying storm of sound. Midnight In Amsterdam pair tiptoeing melodic keys with hammering basslines, driving the track forward with weighty production that feels as consequential as a final showdown. The song's whispered vocals speak in hushed tones, as if quietly affirming that victory is not just possible but inevitable.
This collaboration has been a long time coming, with Midnight In Amsterdam pouring over the project since 2022.
"It’s an honor to be the first esports team in the Benelux to release an official anthem," mCon's Director, Ruben Been, said in a press release shared with EDM.com. "While there have been many collaborations between the esports and dance industries before, creating an anthem is truly groundbreaking. We’re excited to continue working with Midnight in Amsterdam, blending the best of both worlds through music and entertainment, and exploring even more exciting possibilities in the future."

If connection is measured in BPM, Hardwell and Outsiders' new single "Falling In Love" would break the barometer.
Out now on Hardwell's own label, Revealed Recordings, the track interpolates the ageless lyrics of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love." This hardstyle behemoth, a high-energy fusion of classic romance and modern electronic music, doesn't just nod to Elvis—it grabs the King's 1961 classic by the sequined lapels and hurls it onto the mainstage.
"Falling In Love" showcases Hardwell and Outsiders' skills in balancing nostalgia with contemporary sound design, creating an engaging tension by highlighting the contrast between the tender sentiment of the lyrics and the track's relentless rhythms. Those iconic words take on new life when entwined with the Dutch compatriots' soaring synths and distorted kick drums, which run roughshod through a euphoric drop.
While it may not win over hardstyle skeptics, fans of the genre will find plenty to appreciate. The song's infectious energy and memorable hook are likely to make it a staple at international EDM festivals as 2024 comes to a close.

In a move that caught almost everyone off guard, Coachella's 2024 lineup included a surprising act: Anti Up. After a two-year hiatus, house music enthusiasts were left wondering what the duo of Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo had in store.
They then confirmed their long-awaited debut album was complete just prior to Coachella's start before closing out the festival's Mojave stage on its first day, premiering an entirely new set filled with both Anti Up hits and unreleased music presumed to be on the album. Now, almost seven months later, What is Life is out now.
It doesn't take long to reaffirm the fact that Lake and Lorenzo are among today's leading producers of house music. The album is a microcosm of their deep understanding of the genre's roots as well as their innovative approaches to arrangement and sound design, which consistently test house music's boundaries.
Chris Lorenzo (L) and Chris Lake (R) performing as Anti Up at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.Miranda Nicusanti/EDM.com
Inspired by their roots in British club culture, the bold and unapologetically raw album was crafted for warehouses, dark dancefloors and the 4am crowd. It starts with its explosive titular track, where Anti Up set the stage by lacing rhys from the sticks' distorted vocals through a gritty rhythm and pulsing bassline.
Another highlight is "Revolution," which offers a refreshing change of pace from the album's darker, more intense production. Featuring NCognita, the hip-hop crossover eschews the pounding energy of its predecessors, opting instead for an upbeat, breakbeat-inspired beast.
Turning back to rhys from the sticks, "Holding On" is an undeniable standout and arguably the album's best. In contrast to "What Is Life," where the vocalist delivers a more aggressive and brash performance, he adopts a more contemplative tone.
Here, Lake and Lorenzo close their album by skillfully weaving his soulful vocals with a beautiful piano melody, encouraging us to wake up and embrace the existentialist idea that life can be filled with joy if you live it authentically. To that end, What Is Life compellingly dares us to embrace life's highs and lows with an undertow of resilience.

Adam Beyer continues to push Techno’s boundaries with diverse elements while staying true to the beat, with his new EP Don’t Go, out today October 11th, 2024. Picking up where he left off with previous acclaimed solo EP Ghost Kiss and his recent knockout debut Vintage Culture collaboration, the Swedish producer and Drumcode label boss delivers a two tracker of epic proportions, marked by a creative use of vocal samples and vocal processing, creating an extra layer of rampant power which can be both spacey and machine-like, yet organically human.
‘Don’t Go’
The title track kicks off with spacey elements of hoover and doppler FX, maintaining an assertive, demanding forward thrust throughout but soon becoming dominated by the vocal sample, a two-line Afro-vibe chorus of mixed voices processed as a riff, then a melody, and then building through the big breakdown into a huge drop. The call and response pattern of the sample is compulsively engaging, triumphant and incessantly hooky while lending an organic, atavistic feel skilfully enmeshed with the percussion.
‘Tool Of Thought’
It has more of a futuristic flavor this time, with a complex percussive attack of clacking beat, hissing hi-hats, metallic bass and hoover notes like sirens upping the dangerous, unsettling ambiance. Beyer’s recent experimenting with vocoders herecreates a deep, dark vocal. No chance of not dancing to this.
Not content to rest on his considerable laurels, Techno king Beyer keeps on evolving, and the responses during his current tour of major festivals worldwide make it clear that fans old and new are more than ready for this particular iteration of his brilliance.
About Adam Beyer
Adam Beyer occupies a firm position among the few Techno originators who’ve stayed at the top of their game since the ‘90s. The Swede’s three-decade career is an impressive unfurling of steadfast, future-focussed innovation and expansion. Beyer has performed at nearly every club and festival around the world multiple times, he’s the first to have racked up 100 Awakenings appearances, he’s turned in two rounds on Radio 1’s Essential Mix and an entry into Fabric’s mix series, built a vast catalogue of vital records, released under various aliases, and launched three record labels, including the gargantuan Drumcode, a world-dominating brand with a syndicated radio show, weekly show on streaming platforms and global wide events.
Beyer’s vocation kicked off as he galvanised the dawning of a new wave of European Techno in the mid-’90s with releases on Planet Rhythm Records and the iconic Drumcode imprint. Adolescent impatience spurred the launch of his label in 1996. With a vast stack of his records good to go and Beyer being eager to speed up the release process, he threw money into a venture that would sooner give his cuts a stomping ground. Drumcode would soon grow at supersonic speed with his own high-voltage material being released alongside early records from Cari Lekebusch, Joel Mull, Marco Carola, Henrik B and Hardcell.
Today there’s no bigger label or brand in Techno than Drumcode. It’s long been an entry point into the genre, ushering in millions of ravers. An impressive roster of artists features across an unbroken schedule of worldwide, sustainable events, with a high point being a two-year run of its own booming festival. The imprint has already surpassed its 250th release – a historic collaboration that had Kevin Saunderson revive his E-Dancer moniker for remix treatment. Celebrating the origins of Techno, Beyer came through once again on his commitment to respecting the sound, maintaining its integrity and pushing things forward with a diverse line-up of artists including Robert Hood, DJ Mink, Amelie Lens, Len Faki, TYGAPAW, DJ Bone, rRoxymore, Bart Skills and Layton Giordani. “Techno is more diverse than it’s been in a long time. The underground scene is thriving again. I started Drumcode as a counterculture movement, so it’s encouraging to see the energy in it – this youth punk feeling feeding back into Techno again”, Beyer says.

Delhia de France and 8Kays‘ most recent offering, “Human Nature,” is a brilliant new release on DGTL Records.
Human Nature‘s emotional center is Delhia de France’s poetic investigation of human desire. Her songs negotiate the difficult terrain of longing, guilt, and social repression of our most intense feelings. De France offers a paradox at the core of the human experience: our natural inclination to want for the unreachable combined with the social training that usually casts desire itself as something terrible.
With his alchemical production on “Human Nature,” 8Kays transforms the core of De France’s songs into a lush, changing soundscape. Starting from a place of mild tension and growing to moments of catharsis and revelation, the track’s development reflects the emotional trip the lyrics describe.
De France’s technique distinguishes itself in how she reframes apparently forbidden emotions. She raises yearning and longing for an almost transcendent condition rather than showing them as shortcomings to be conquered. The idea that these very human emotions have a “supernatural force” asks listeners to reevaluate how they connect with emotional expression and desire.
Described as “monotonously enchanting,” the opening synthesizers deftly capture the sensation of restrained emotion – a surface-level serenity that masks deeper currents. The emergence of odd noises and finally the dramatic piano-driven breakdown as the song progresses feels like a sonic depiction of emotions shattering through limitations of constraint.
This musical trip from flaw to beauty reflects the human experience itself. De France’s comments remind us that far from causes of shame, our aspirations and desires are the very core of what defines us as humans. By doing this, she asks listeners to welcome the whole range of their emotional life.
A “stinging main synth” that pushes the envelope of the music marks the end of the track. This component is especially interesting since it’s said to have been successful on dancefloors all around even prior to the track’s official release. This style of sound design can set off a visceral, bodily reaction in listeners, therefore generating those transcendent moments when music, movement, and emotion unite.

Joining forces for an unexpected collaboration, Dom Dolla and Tove Lo invite us into a seductive maze of pop and drum & bass with their new single, "CAVE."
A departure for each of these dance music superstars, "CAVE" had been in the works for "years" prior to today's release on streaming platforms, according to Dolla. The track arrives after they performed it live together during Coachella's second 2024 weekend.
"After years of being mates and many late night convos about making music together, we finally made it into the studio and came up with something a bit different for us both," the Australian DJ and house music producer said.

Mirroring the late-night collapse of emotional walls, Lo's icy vocals cut deep, each line dripping with desperation as she resists the pull of love. Her captivating lyrics haunt and linger like that last cigarette of the night—smoldering and irresistible.
Meanwhile, Dolla's production slithers through your veins beneath, creating an electric tension and tightening its grip until you cave in too. His drums pound and prowl beneath the surface, slicing through a predatory bassline that circles Lo's breathy confessionals like a shark scenting blood in the water.
Together they've crafted an anthem for the witching hour, when inhibitions melt and turn into either thrills or regrets—no in-between. You can watch the official "CAVE" music video below and find the new single on streaming platforms here.

In a perfect world, all workplaces would have break rooms with this kind of music in them.
Between their world-class music festivals all over the globe, Insomniac stays busy by releasing music from major artists on native labels inspired by the sounds of those events. Now, the electronic music behemoth has announced the newest edition to its roster of imprints, Break Room Records.
We're told the new label and event series will focus on the trendy sounds of trap, hardwave and experimental bass music. Those "rebellious and defiant" songs will create "an escape via bass music that falls on the aggressive fringes of the genre," according to a press release shared with EDM.com.
The first release on Break Room is "Ultra," a hardwave banger from Hex Cougar and VARI that takes us to a cyberpunk world through distorted vocals and frenetic percussion. Combined with sawing, jagged synths that feel charged with electricity, Break Room's debut makes you feel like you're cruising past endless neon lights at breakneck speeds.

Amelie Lens once again spins a web of techno hypnotism in "Falling For You," her brand-new single.
A highlight of the Belgian superstar's standout Tomorrowland 2024 set, the track is out now via Sony Europe. It arrives hotly anticipated after being entrenched as the closing song of her DJ sets throughout the summer.
With its impassioned vocals, "Falling For You" feels like a love letter written in urgent, propulsive techno. It's a haunting exploration of desire in its most desperate state, where Lens laces fragile lyricism through her raw, minimalist production: "I never felt so loved, I am falling for you / My body awakes, I'm returning to you."
The words, sparse yet loaded with longing, mirror the relentless energy of Lens' production, pulling us into a claustrophobic loop of euphoria and vulnerability. She has always had a knack for melding the human pulse with the machine, and here, the tension between those elements is electrifying.

Drum & bass vet BCee is back with a new album, These Are The Days, his eighth in an illustrious career spanning over two decades.
The vocal-driven album pulses with a vibrant, soul-drenched heartbeat, blending emotive highs with the bittersweet undertow of fleeting time. The Spearhead Records founder beautifully explores the nuances of joy and struggle as they intermingle through our passing years.
His melodies weave through liquid drum & bass with a quiet confidence, sometimes soaring, sometimes sinking deep into introspective grooves. Through standouts like "Straight to Your Heart" and "Hurt Each Other," BCee bottles a raw, reflective energy and reminds us that these days—whether blissful or bruising—are the only ones we get.
Opening up about the new album, BCee says he wanted to explore songwriting and drum & bass in ways his fans hadn't yet heard.
"Something new compared to my previous albums is that every single one of the tracks is a full vocal song collaborating with different vocalists throughout," he explains. "The title These Are The Days reflects a duality: celebrating the good times while recognizing that these are the only days we get. Whether you're enjoying life or facing tough times, it's about seizing the moment and making the most of it."
