Yo, Drake fans! Are you sitting down? Because the 6 God just broke the internet (again) with a surprise drop of new music that’s got us all buzzing!
Drake, in his infinite wisdom, has blessed us with not just a song, not just an album, but a whopping 100 gigabytes of pure, unadulterated content. That’s right, you read that correctly – 100GB! It’s like Christmas came early, and Drake is Santa Claus in a designer tracksuit.
What’s in the Drop?
Let’s break down this treasure trove:
Three New Bangers:
“It’s Up” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage
“Blue Green Red”
“Housekeeping Knows” with Latto
Behind-the-Scenes Goldmine: We’re talking footage from the iconic “Hotline Bling” video shoot, studio sessions, and more. It’s like we’ve all been given an all-access pass to the OVO vault!
Unreleased Gems: Who knows what other surprises are hiding in those folders? Demos? Scrapped collabs? The possibilities are endless!
Fan Reactions
The Twitterverse (or should I say, X-verse?) is losing its collective mind. One fan summed it up perfectly: “BROS JUST FEEDING US BANGERS FOR FREE. DRAKE’S THROWAWAYS COULD FEED A WHOLE NATION.” And honestly? They’re not wrong.
Why This Matters
In an era where artists are becoming increasingly guarded with their work, Drake’s move is revolutionary. It’s a massive flex that screams, “I’ve got hits for days, and I’m not afraid to share them.” It’s generosity on a scale we rarely see in the music industry.
What’s Next?
Now, it’s our turn to dive in. OVO Sound has posted a link to a website containing all this new material, so grab your hard drives and clear your schedules. We’ve got some digging to do!
Drake might have had his ups and downs this year, but this drop? This is him reminding us all why he’s still at the top of the game. It’s not just music; it’s a cultural event.
So, what are you waiting for? Go explore those 100 gigs and let us know what hidden gems you find. Drake season is in full swing, and we’re here for every second of it!

Eden Ibiza, one of the hottest music venue labels on the Balearic island itself, has announced a new venue, ‘NOSPACE’. This new party hotspot NOSPACE launched on this past Friday and it comes after Eden Ibiza had to pull out its Space Ibiza residency because of a legal dispute about the ‘Space’ trademark rights. Eden Ibiza affirms commitment to ensure NOSPACE remains a Friday night hotspot
The Eden Ibiza owner stated his affirmation that NOSPACE remains an awesome place for clubbers to continue genuinely feel great vibes. Fridays at Eden are more than just a night out; they’re a tradition that defines the Ibiza experience for many and a home to a global community of clubbers.”

Lollapalooza announced its Main Stage is entirely battery powered including audio, lighting, video, and stage production. They are setting the precedent for festival sustainability. Live Nation’s sustainability initiative Green Nation, T-Mobile, and CES Power worked together to help Lollapalooza make history as the first major U.S. festival to power its main stage from a hybrid battery system.
The hybrid-powered stage will deploy over 1.5 MWh of battery storage capacity, minimizing the run time of biodiesel generators and resulting in significant fuel and emissions savings. It also had local benefits with reduced noise and air pollution leading to a better experience for all. They plan to share the results and learning from Lollapalooza for the rest of the festival world to learn from.
This year’s festival featured an activation from conservation organization Re:wild, which became an official global Lollapalooza partner earlier this year. The organization was founded by a group of renowned conservation scientists, together with Leonardo DiCaprio, to speak directly with music fans and educate them on ways to rewild their daily lives and communities.
Lollapalooza has a stacked lineup this year including SZA, Blink-182, The Killers, Hozier, Skrillex, Tate McRae, Zedd, Fisher, Four Tet and so many more.

Twitch is celebrating the launch of its new DJ category by virtue of a worldwide, 24-hour streaming event, according to a blog post from the company. Scheduled for Thursday, August 8th, the virtual event will feature a headlining DJ set by Zedd. The superstar producer is set to broadcast live from Brooklyn, where he'll play brand-new music from Telos, his first album in nearly a decade. ZHU, Sofi Tukker, Sam Feldt, Aluna, Cheat Codes and EDM.com Class of 2024 star HoneyLuv will also perform, among others. It's a big moment for Twitch, with whom DJs have locked horns for years due to the pervasive risk of takedowns, bans and muted content. The platform had consistently found itself in hot water after issuing rampant DMCA takedown notices to legions of its users, who were unwittingly playing songs in their streams without the rights to do so by virtue of the service's business model. Twitch in June announced landmark licensing deals with UMG, Warner, Sony and "hundreds" of independent music rightsholders. The agreements precipitated the launch of the "Twitch DJ Program," which enables DJs to legally play copyrighted songs in their streams and collect royalties. They can now sign up for the program, which provides a catalog of music for them to legally use in their streams as well as a list of restricted artists. "Today's DJ category launch is a major moment for Twitch, the music industry, and our creators," Twitch CEO Dan Clancy said in a statement. "There is something special in the way DJs on Twitch introduce music to their listeners. It’s personal and it’s community-oriented, so we've built a stable, long-term home where they can invest in building their brand and community." Learn more about Twitch's new DJ category here and check out the full lineup for the August 8th stream below.

Utah Saints have been making music, DJ’ing and playing gigs around the globe since the birth of House Music. The world renowned duo have released 9 Top 40 UK hits, 4 of which hit the Top 10 and sold over 2 million records worldwide (equivalent to 800m+ streams).
Precariously walking the tightrope between genres and the underground and mainstream, Utah Saints roots are firmly in electronic dance music. Having met in a club in Leeds at the beginning of the rave movement in the UK they’ve subsequently established themselves as pioneers of sampling in dance music.
Alongside this success, they set up and promoted award winning and legendary club nights The Gallery and SugarBeatClub both live in Leeds, with residencies at Cabret Voltaire in Edinburgh. Utah Saints are still very much at the top of their game, DJ’ing regularly each month as well as curating festival stages such as Beatherder – putting on an eclectic range of artists and DJ’s and talent spotting early.
When the pioneering musicians aren’t playing at clubs and festivals in various parts of the world, they can be found in the studio working on their own material as well as producing and remixing other artists from The Osmonds (Crazy Horses) to Bring Me The Horizon.
As part of our 10th Birthday celebrations, we invited Utah Sants back once again, with an exclusive mix and chat.
Decoded Magazine · Decoded Magazine Presents – Utah Saints
Utah Saints, it’s an honour to have you back with us as we celebrate Decoded Magazine’s 10th birthday! Let’s start by taking a trip down memory lane. We’re sure you’ve been asked this many times and it is a track that defined a lot of the early 90’s. What was it like to experience incredible success in the ’90s with your hit track “Something Good”?
Thank you for having us back, that is also an honour! So Something Good was our 2nd hit in the UK, after our first, What Can You Do For Me, which came out the year before. That took off for us really suddenly – we pressed 1000 copies on vinyl ourselves, and within 3 months we were signed and it had sold 165,000 copies in the UK. So when Something Good came out, we weren’t expecting it to be a hit, but we were a bit more prepared when it was. We started in 1991, and when Utah Saints started getting busy we were promoting 4 nights a week, booking a lot of DJs, playing at raves most weekends and making dance music on computers and samplers during the day. Everything was flat out and a bit of a blur, but really exciting and it really felt like something new was being built.
“Something Good” famously sampled Kate Bush. Can you tell us about the process of clearing that sample? How did you manage to get the green light from such an iconic artist?
We aren’t too sure – we weren’t involved directly with the process, but she did like it, and she’s never cleared anything else, so we are incredibly grateful and honoured. We hope it was because we didn’t take the essence of her track and make it the essence of ours, we tried to make something new and put her amazing line in a different musical context. She is such an iconic unique true artist, and to be honest at the time we were young and pretty intimidated to talk to an artist of her calibre, so we left it all to the business people.
You had a hectic touring schedule during your early years (and subsequently over the last 3 decades). How did you handle the demands of constant touring, and do you have any memorable stories from the road? (no names needed).
We’ve always seen this as our main job, and taken it seriously, so we kept focused on the music and doing the best gig we could at every show. When Utah Saints started, both of us had already done a lot of gigs – Jez Utah with two bands, and Tim as a DJ. Luckily this put us in a good place when it comes to touring. Yes, we have a lot of stories, but we’re still not comfortable talking about them – sorry! Every rave, gig and show is special to us, whether it’s playing to an empty room (as everyone wanted to go upstairs to see Vernon Kay) or opening for U2 in front of 70,000 people, we always try and do the best we can. Oh and to be honest, there is a lot of waiting around when you tour, too much thinking time sometimes :)
How have you seen the music scene evolve over the past decade since we last spoke? Are there any significant changes that have particularly stood out to you, that is either good or bad?
A decade?! Wow, time is flying… music is contracting a bit at the moment. It’s no one’s fault, but there is less industry support at the moment for up-and-coming music. That’s one of the reasons publications like Decoded are so important. Without going too deep, we all need to support new music, and value it – too often people working in the arts are seen as “not having a proper job” and that needs to change. That said, it’s a very exciting time in music – loads of new tech evolving, and shaping immersive events. Music will always be there, either as a driving force, or part of a bigger experience.
Looking ahead, where do you see the future of the electronic music scene going in the next 10 years? What trends or developments do you think will shape its future?
There will be a LOT of music, which is why there will be a need for Gatekeepers like Decoded and MADE Festival. We think there is a big need for authenticity – although YouTube is helpful in seeing and listening to music, nothing can emulate a real shared experience. That’s why it’s important to respond to music as you feel it, not how you think YouTube has told you to. Next time you go to a festival, try it – there is some intangible quality of an act or event with soul that we can connect to – no other experience has that.
Tracks will probably get shorter – not many people have a long attention span, and social media will dictate track lengths to a certain extent. Events will get more immersive, and some will become experiences – the recent Sault gigs showed us all a possible direction for this. AI is the big discussion, but at the moment it is reactive – it can only work with what has happened before, and that doesn’t always connect with people. For example, look at how many acts tried to be like the Beatles when they arrived, but no one really got close – the Beatles were the real deal, and the copies were seen as that. Where AI will get really interesting/scary is when it starts being creative – we’re a while off that at the moment, so the future is bright, we all need to work out how to fit AI into that!
We love hearing about exciting new acts to check out, What up-and-coming artists do you think we should have on our radar? Are there any new talents that have impressed you recently?
Yes, a lot! Not going to list them as we know we’ll accidentally leave some out. English Teacher are from Leeds like us and brilliant, so that’s our hometown plug – beyond that, we are constantly impressed by a lot of the new music coming out – oh and Orbital are our mates and have some great new music.
Technology, AI, hardware, DJ software, have leaped in bounds recently (Traktor 4 anyone?) How do you see the future of music technology? Are there any innovations or advancements that you’re particularly excited about?
Yes, AI is definitely exciting. Looking forward to more randomisers for composition and sound design. Really like a lot of sample manipulators – taking small slices of sound and rearranging them to make new, never-heard before combinations. We keep moving with the tech (although we were Serato not Traktor – changeovers were hairy!), and there are new developments all the time, helping us make edits on the fly during a set – keeps us busy!
Do you have any special news or upcoming releases that you can share with us? What can your fans expect from Utah Saints in the near future?
We are hoping to announce some releases towards the end of this year – until then they are being kept secret. We intend to reach as many gigs and people as we can, we want to collaborate in interesting ways with interesting acts, and generally be as busy as we possibly can.
Reflecting on your 3 decade long music career, what have been some of the key factors to your enduring success in the music industry?
The music. The music we started with has developed, but the core is the same and still completely relevant. We also have to be involved with music, that’s just what we’ve always done. We both started performing and making music when were at school, and haven’t stopped. Defining the word “success”. To us that means still being here, and able to keep making and playing music. So there have been a lot of major ups and downs. For a while we went properly back to the underground, started our own nights again, and booking DJs we liked, that gave us the opportunity to regroup a bit, and figure out what to do next.
The re-release of Something Good ‘08 was a massive boost for us as well, will always be grateful to Van She Tech for that. And lastly, we do try and treat everyone the same, and try not to be idiots. We both know what it’s like to be down, and would never want to knowingly add to someone else being down. We try and remember that pissing on someone else’s chips won’t make your chips taste better….
Finally, as we celebrate Decoded Magazine’s 10th birthday, do you have any special memories or thoughts about your experiences with the magazine over the years?
Decoded – you are an essential and authentic part of the electronic music scene – we always visit your site when we are looking for info – you guys are true experts and know your history, which makes you great gatekeepers – we know that any of the acts or music tech we find through you will be quality – thank you for that , and please keep up the good work!
Particularly liked the feature on the Emulator 2 from Ferris Bueller – none of us could afford that machine, but were fascinated by what it could do! More of that please, perhaps something on the Akai S612 that we started with.
Thank you, Utah Saints, for taking the time to speak with us. We’re thrilled to share your insights and stories with our readers as part of this special anniversary celebration!
Thank you Decoded – happy anniversary from Utah Saints!

Global Transport by Monolake
On September 6th the musician, audiovisual artist and co-creator of Ableton Live Robert Henke, AKA Monolake, releases a new album, titled simply ‘Studio’.
A celebration of human-machine interaction, the creative process and the album format, Henke delivers a virtuoso, all-killer-no-filler masterclass in the true potential of an electronic longplayer.
Punchy, purposeful and engaging, no moment is wasted, and every sound is perfectly placed. Across this multifaceted ride Henke reshapes deep abstract dance, sci fi techno, Kraftwerkian melody, sleek IDM and psych kosmische into a distinct, continuous composition.
In Robert’s own words:
“My studio is my shelter, I feel comfortable there, surrounded by those wonderful inspiring machines. A small cosy room where ideas emerge, mature, morph, and find their final shape. ‘Studio’ is the result of spending time in that space. The album’s intention is simple: Presenting a beautiful personal musical journey. The creative process in itself matters to me, the interaction with my instruments, the accidental discoveries, the successful execution of a vision and anything in between.
The result counts even more. I care deeply about the outcome of my work, I want it to be intentional, meaningful, consistent, and personal. Most of the tracks on this album got revised countless times, and then even more, once I knew in which context and order I wanted to arrange them. I have been living with my music for months now, listening, thinking, changing, diving deeper and deeper into each piece.
I love albums, a beautiful format where each part has its place, one long journey from start to end, yet each piece has its own story, its own flavour and history. Some of the material I created years ago for installations, some is derived from previous audiovisual works, all completely ripped apart and rearranged multiple times, and other parts came into existence just a few months ago. During their creation my pieces often turn into something completely different, they repeatedly morph from one state to another until they become solid.
What I consider a core element at the beginning might later be discarded completely, and a little detail in the background might become the essence. Many explorations ended in the trash bin before the results had the chance to become a part of ‘Studio’. Things did not fall into place, did not feel right.
Other compositions had to fill the void instead, some created quickly in a rush of inspiration, some slowly, shy, questioning their significance. This album did not come into existence in a hurry; it took as long as it needed.
I used the time to walk around my creations, to listen to them from the distance, physically, mentally, with friends, in all kinds of different contexts. I tried to understand my own work. I started to see patterns, hidden motifs, things that were buried in between too many layers of sound. What is essential? What is ornament? I reduced, rearranged, added again.
The closer I got to the final state of ‘Studio’ the more clarity I found. The inherent doubts and the nagging voices from the inside got more quiet, and a sense of achievement started to manifest itself. More and more details just fell into place. And now it is done. After making electronic music since almost thirty years I don’t care anymore about genres, about how to label things. It is music, my own personal music, and that’s it. Call it ‘electronica’ if you wish.
The music on this album has been constructed in Ableton Live. Most of the sounds have been captured from my collection of beloved hardware synthesisers and effects, often further processed until something completely different emerged. Sometimes I spend days in the studio just recording sounds or creating new presets, without already having a composition in mind.
A few selected musical instruments contributed significantly to the palette of this album; a New England Digital Synclavier II, which also served as inspiration for the artwork, a Sequential Prophet VS, which is present on all Monolake albums since 1996, a Yamaha SY77, the Linn Drum, and the Oberheim Xpander. And then there is Operator in Ableton Live, which I developed in 2004 and still love to use, and a lot of the other effects and instruments in the software. And of course my Granulator III instrument, and the PitchLoop89 audio effect. The final sonic world is often the result of radical processing of these elements, via filtering, pitch shifting, time stretching and other types of processing, both in Live and with my hardware. The good old Alesis Quadraverb deserves a honorary mention here, so does the AMS RMX 16.
When composing, I often start with a drum groove, a simple pattern triggering samples I collected earlier, or percussive synthetic sounds. Afterwards I arrange other elements around it. This is often more a process of finding than searching. I have an idea what I might want to add, but when clicking through my presets or adjusting parameters, I discover something else. I record layers of layers of new elements. This is the fun part. And from there the search for meaning and form starts: What happens when, where, why, how long, how often, with how much variation? During this very fragile process things often change a lot. This is where I oscillate between euphoria and crisis mode. The biggest challenge: throwing things away that did cost a lot of time to make but ultimately are just bad.
In the final stage of creating this album, I worked on all tracks at the same time, listening to them in the context of the others. A lot of things changed again as a result. Suddenly previously completely fine endings and beginnings made no sense anymore and needed to be reworked. I always aim to create an album which is one long journey, and where the successions of pieces feel more like movements of a symphony. I removed elements, add new ones, and often only at this very late stage I started to understand which parts in each piece are central.
At a very late state I again added a lot of little details to each track: The digital creatures in ‘Cute Little Aliens’ became more varied and agitated, and I had a lot of fun embedding the scenery in a wet pre-human environment, with thunder, the ocean, granulated raindrops, and other forces of nature. ‘Eclipse’ got its dark cymbals at the beginning and turned more into a wild drumming exercise and a track called ‘Spectral Run’ got revised again and again for weeks, until I finally gave up on it and replaced it by something that I wrote within a few days and in great desperation: ‘Signals’. But at the same time I gained enough distance to be able to reduce and simplify where needed: I cleaned up rhythmical patterns, let things develop over longer time periods again, or got rid of things that turned out to hide other things below that are far more worth noticing. Today is May 13 2024, a beautiful sunny day in Berlin, and I decide that the album is finished.”

Any time DJ Snake is in New York City, you know its going to get down and going to be an insane performance. There are few DJs that have the commanding stage presence that he brings and is worth all the hype. Last Friday, the French DJ returned to the Brooklyn Mirage for one night, selling it out as expected.
As you may already know, DJ Snake has been talk of the year after he announced his mysterious “Final Show” taking place at Stade De France in France in 2025. The 80,000 venue sold out in a record breaking three minutes. Since the start of 2024, he’s also been going on some crazy side quests from performing at the Superbowl pre-game show to throwing a rave at a Mcdonald’s in Paris. Later this year, he will be playing his first ever bass set only at Lost Lands which will be a historical performance to witness. This is all in addition to him playing at the biggest music festivals and venues around the world.
Anyone who has seen DJ Snake live knows he performs a mix of trap, latin house, and house, making his performances very diverse. The French man threw down from the start, performing his recent release with Crankdat, ‘Big Bang‘. This set the tone for the night, hurling banger after banger to the Brooklyn crowd. Once the crowd got hooked, he would play classics such as ‘Taki Taki’ and ‘Lean On’. Middle of the performance, he brought out his heavy hitters ‘Propaganda’ and ‘Turn Down For What’ which got the crowd into a headbanger frenzy. The pyrotechnics were also insane, lighting up the venue in flames dozens of feet high. One highlight of the night was when he dropped his remix for Adam Port’s ‘Move’ which has been one of the hottest songs of the summer. Snake eventually closed out the night with ‘Let Me Move You’ which had everyone in the venue singing along.

Melodic Techno fans will really like this one. Cassian drops a double-header for his full debut on Afterlife. The ‘Dun Dun’ EP is what we have waiting for from the Australian GRAMMY-winning DJ.
Do You Deserve My ‘Dun Dun’?
Following his collaborative work with Anyma, and appearances at Afterlife events worldwide, Cassian unveils his first full release on the label. ‘Dun Dun’ merges an uplifting melody with an undulating low end that pushes the track forward, supporting the vocal clip. The track reminds us of Massano‘s stand out track ‘Drowning’, in the best way possible. The track has a powerful eeriness that accompanies the melodies.
‘Memento’ is a bright, emotive composition with layered vocals producing a choir-esque effect and driving energy at its core. Both tracks have gathered massive support from industry giants including Tale of Us, Nora en Pure, Miss Monique, and Kevin de Vries.
What’s next for Cassian?
After multiple Afterlife appeareances, incredible remixes including John Summit & Hayla’s ‘Shiver’ (Cassian remix), and Rüfüs Du Sol’s Alive (Cassian Remix) we can expect nothing but greatness. Perhaps a surprise guest appeareance at the Sphere in Las Vegas for Anyma’s New Years shows? The world is an Australian oyster, and Cassian is all about it. The LA resident is touring the Americas and touching base in Chicago, Salt Lake City, and Miami. He will also perform in Argentina, Mexico, and Brazil. Aussie’s will receive the artist during his Australian tour as well.
We will hold this EP like a keepsake, but in the meantime, don’t you mess with my ‘Dun Dun’:

Following the ongoing global success of “Sunshine (My Girl),” Wuki delivers a carefree track titled “Rave Day (Happy),” out on August 2. Currently supported by the likes of Diplo, Oliver Heldens, Afrojack, and Joel Corry, “Rave Day (Happy)” perfectly captures the high-energy excitement that many festival enthusiasts crave, transforming any moment into an impromptu dance party and inviting everyone, regardless of age, to hit the dancefloor.
Indicative of his knack for sonic alchemy, the song layers a melodic sample above a plucky rave-style synth. Between the dancefloor-ready drops, a highly hummable pop hook instantly transfixes. Once again, he breaks boundaries by refreshing and re-upping nineties rave energy with 21st-century gloss.
“It’s a happier-sounding dance record, and the vibe is brighter. You could picture driving with your sunglasses on as it plays! A lot of people don’t make upbeat major key dance music anymore, and that was my favorite stuff when I started going to raves as a teenager. I wanted ‘Rave Day (Happy)’ to be nostalgic and current at the same time,” Wuki says.
With a rich history in diverse musical genres and an unwavering passion for originality, Wuki consistently delivers groundbreaking tracks that push boundaries. His ‘Beats I Can’t Release’ segments have become a viral sensation, amassing a highly engaged fanbase of over 1.5 million across social media. “Sunshine (My Girl)” has garnered over 80 million streams and received strong support from industry giants like FISHER, Tiësto, Oliver Heldens, Armin Van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Chris Lake, and more. Wuki’s ability to seamlessly blend genres and connect with major audiences has solidified his status as an influential figure in the dance music community.
While Wuki has an undeniable talent for remixes and flips, “Rave Day (Happy)” marks his first original track on Thrive Music. Dedicated to his fans who show up bright-eyed and ready to party at every one of his shows, the song is a sonic simulation for a rave day, from pre-festival jitters to the euphoric arrival to the venue. Its contagious energy resonates not only with festival-goers but with anyone seeking an instant serotonin boost. If you’re looking for a good time, you’ll find it in the rolling basslines of “Rave Day (Happy).”
