Deorro is taking the phrase "kids at heart" to a whole new level by turning Chuck E. Cheese into the rave venue you never knew you needed.
To celebrate the release of his latest track, "En El Audi," Deorro is bringing the house down October 2nd at the iconic home of arcade games and pizza slices. His "Chuck E. Cheese After Dark" experience is taking place at the location in Northridge, California, per a media alert shared with EDM.com.
The rare event taps into the early aughts nostalgia with which longtime fans of Deorro grew up. The renowned "Five Hours" producer himself will be spinning live at the event from 6-9pm, turning the venue into a Latin-infused club dancefloor.
But the rave isn't the only thing worth celebrating. Deorro is also riding high on the momentum of his first Latin Grammy nomination for his track "BAMBOLE," a collaboration with crossover dance artist Vikina.
"En El Audi," a collaboration with Grupo Marca Registrada, is out now via Interscope/Double P Records. Check out the new single below.

In a time where electronic music is often defined by boundaries and stylistic labels, LSZEE's debut album is a bold showcase of unshackled creativity.
Together, CloZee and LSDREAM have crafted a true bass music odyssey. Spanning 13 songs, their self-titled LSZEE album feels like a journey through a dreamscape, where shimmering melodies meet thunderous low-end energy. From their meditative moments to earth-shattering basslines, each track feels like a glimpse into an alternate reality.
The album immediately pulls us into its vastness with "EMPYRE," a cinematic opener that soars on echoing falsettos and sweeping synths. The track sets the tone for what's to come—an album brimming with both beauty and intensity, seamlessly balancing softer, more intimate moments with the powerful moments of catharsis that bass music fans crave.
Throughout the album, LSZEE masterfully incorporate elements of world music into its fabric. "NIGHTHAWK" showcases intricate hand percussion and chant-like vocals—two signatures of CloZee—that transport listeners to a far-flung place under the stars. The similarly dynamic arrangements of tracks like "CLOUD10" tap into something primal, offering a deep, spiritual resonance that feels grounded despite its otherworldly production.
With two sold-out shows in early October at Red Rocks and an upcoming performance at Brooklyn Mirage, CloZee and LSDREAM are a collaborative force that have only just begun to gather steam. Check out their debut album as LSZEE below and find it streaming platforms here.

Festival-goers devastated by the recent cancellations of Nocturnal Wonderland and Lucidity still have a second chance to dance. Worlds Away, a new music festival in Silicon Valley to be headlined by Tiësto and The Chainsmokers, is stepping in with an act of goodwill by offering 1,000 free passes to ticket-holders of the canceled festivals.
With the catastrophic Line Fire wreaking havoc across Southern California, Insomniac Events, the organizer of the beloved Nocturnal Wonderland festival in San Bernardino, was forced to cancel its 2024 edition just days prior to its start. The company is issuing refunds.
Meanwhile, Santa Barbara's independent Lucidity Festival faced its own challenges before permanently folding due to financial and logistical pressures. The event's organizers continue to face backlash after deciding not to issue refunds in the wake of this year's cancellation.
In a refreshing act of solidarity, Worlds Away is offering a lifeline. The festival's proprietor, the lifestyle platform and experience curator Pendulum, is giving away 1,000 complimentary passes to those who had purchased tickets for either Nocturnal Wonderland or Lucidity. The gesture echoes a recent move by the team behind Same Same But Different, a Southern California-based festival that also offered free passes to people impacted by the Lucidity cancellation.
"For years, Nocturnal Wonderland and Lucidity Festival have been pillars of connection, creativity and shared experiences for so many travelers in the festival community," Worlds Away's organizers said in a statement shared with EDM.com. "These events have brought countless people together under the night sky, creating bonds and memories that last a lifetime. We recognize how much these gatherings mean to everyone and the impact their absence this year has had on all those who were looking forward to celebrating."
"At Worlds Away, we’re inspired by the same spirit of unity and community. As a new festival joining the scene, we want to extend an invitation to those who were planning to attend these festivals. We’re offering 1,000 complimentary tickets to Nocturnal Wonderland and Lucidity ticket holders so that Travelers have a place to come together, celebrate, and experience the joy that festivals bring."
To claim their free ticket to Worlds Away, affected attendees need to submit proof of their original purchase via email. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 12th at the Monterey County Fairgrounds. You can find out more about its inaugural edition here.

When DJ Susan and Rich DietZ hit the studio, the end result is bound to be anything but subtle.
The EDM.com Class of 2024 star label head has teamed up with the party-starting producer duo out of South Florida for "Everything Off (Ante Up)," a tech house anthem that strips away the frills and leaves only raw, unfiltered energy ready to command the dancefloor. They have been rinsing the track in their DJ sets throughout this year, but recently showcased it live together over Labor Day Weekend onstage during the former's performance at Chicago's North Coast Festival.
The combination of relentless house grooves and rave-ready synths filled the air, proving that in the city where house music was born, DietZ and Sue are more than capable of carrying the torch. Whenever these two come together, the dancefloor is in for a serious workout.

Sampling an M.O.P. classic, "Everything Off (Ante Up)" taps into the core of what makes house music worth reveling in: driving basslines, high-energy vocal hooks and synth swells that pulse with the energy of a brass section in full swing. The track is out now on Susan's own Hood Politics label.

Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week.
Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.
Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order. And remember, if you would like to contact us for a chance to feature your track on our page, head over to this link right here.
Marsh & ALLKNIGHT – Rabbit Hole
Genre: Progressive House
The weekend couldn’t have started on a better note. We’re fans of Marsh, and we’re fans of Jodie Knight (also known as ALLKNIGHT in the Dance music world), so the news that they teamed up for another choon for the books is absolutely wonderful. Tom and Jodie now unveil ‘Rabbit Hole‘, their new singalong.
Blending their styles in a way we’re already quite familiar with — not at all saying we’re tired of that formula, at all — ‘Rabbit Hole‘ is part of Marsh’s upcoming EP, Aria, which was inspired by his successful live shows in London and Manchester. The EP will be released on November 15th, and Tom is already on tour to celebrate and support it.
Guy J – Just Rain
Genre: Progressive House
Today we have amazing news to share, as, even though the L&F chapter is already complete, Guy J has opened the door to a new era: The Early Morning era. A new imprint, with new ideas, similar concepts and feelings, and led by the mastermind behind countless records we’ve loved for decades. Truly spectacular.
How could you possibly launch a record label in style? Let the founder cast some magic onto your ears and heart. And that’s why Early Morning’s earliest release comes from Guy J himself, in the form of a double tracker, the ‘Million Years from Now / Just Rain‘ EP. Both tracks are nothing more than minutes and minutes on end of pure happiness and fly-away, hypnotising atmospheres, textures, and patterns, resting over a groovy base, boomy low end (in the best of ways), and a general picture that is simply spectacular. In other words, the EP is a sort of music Bob Ross thing.

John Summit, Paige Cavell – Tears (Max Styler Remix)
Genre: Tech House
How do you improve a track that’s phenomenal already? Well, you release a remix of it, of course. This is what the Experts Only label boss John Summit did for one of his star songs of his debut album Comfort in Chaos. Thus, House music icon Max Styler rendered his vision of ‘Tears’ featuring vocalist Paige Cavell, for a wonderful journey ahead. The track is avaibale on both Darkroom and Experts Only.
Just as Max Styler does, he brings out an incredible side of ‘Tears’ that can be interpreted differently from the original. With haunting reverbs, and incredible depth, the remix showcases Styler’s capabilities to showcase different emotions, while highlighting the strongest elements from the original track. Paige Cavell’s vocals now turn into an empowered version of the original, and the feeling of sadness washes away.
Jeremy Olander – Nextune
Genre: Deep House, Melodic Techno
They say good things comes to those that wait. Referred to by fans as ‘Soundbar ID 03‘, Jeremy Olander‘s ‘Nextune’ has been wreaking havoc in the Swede’s sets across the globe for close to a decade. Now, it’s finally getting an official release on Vivrant Imprint. Patience is a virtue, and this song is as timeless as ever.
Right at the intersection of Deep House and Techno, Olander possesses the skills to develop enigmatic and inspiring soundscapes. ‘Nextune’ has been a fan favorite for a decade, and releasing it this year pays homage to its timelessness. A sound that never gets old, the progression of string arrangements and soft melodies builds up into a dynamic and titilating drop.

It’s finally here! On New Music Friday, we have Ben Böhmer’s long-awaited third studio album, Bloom. After three years since his last album, Begin Again, Ben is set to showcase the full breadth of his artistry beyond the boundaries of dance music. Released via Ninja Tune, Bloom promises to testify to Ben’s musical evolution and creativity. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary musical journey!
Bloom
The 11 track LP embodies a captivating creative reset, capturing profound personal growth and an innovative approach to Ben’s music. This release marks a remarkable evolution in his artistic journey. One departs from the grief-laden themes of his earlier works Breathing and Begin Again. Ben mesmerizes fans with his singles ‘Hiding’, ‘Rust’, and ‘Faithless’. They epitomize a striking departure from his signature sound, heralding an exciting new direction for Bloom. The releases highlight a wide diversity for Ben exploring new musical territories, blending Indie and Pop elements seamlessly into his production.
Let’s chat through a few tracks that stood out to me in this LP. ‘Best Life’ is an uplifting and reflective track that beautifully merges Jonny Stöcker’s soulful vocals with Böhmer’s signature melodic house elements. Its infectious optimism truly shines, making it a standout highlight of the album. ‘Evermore’ truly captivates with its cinematic quality and dramatic build, inviting listeners into a deeper, more atmospheric realm within the album. ‘The Sun’, stands as the album’s powerful final single, embodying the theme of rebirth. It seamlessly blends heartfelt lyrics with empowering instrumental work, and the collaboration with Oh Wonder infuses a captivating pop-dance feel, establishing it as one of the album’s most accessible and resonant tracks.

One of Dance music’s most beloved rappers passed away a few weeks ago. Fatman Scoop featured on numerous EDM tracks including Hardwell’s ‘Don’t Stop The Madness’. He shockingly collapsed at a concert in Connecticut. The state’s medical examiner’s office has released the cause of death for the iconic rapper and hype man.
The Connecticut Medical Examiner’s Office announced on September 25th that Scoop (born Isaac Freeman III) died due to hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. It was further determined no foul play was involved. At 56, this shocking death occurred at the Town Center Park in Hamden.
Medical personnel performed chest compressions on Freeman behind the DJ booth and then he was transferred to a local hospital. Hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease is a combination of high blood pressure and the hardening of the arteries that carry oxygen and nutrients from the heart to the rest of the body. It can be caused by high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, and smoking.
On September 12th, Scoop’s friends, family, and the community gathered near the Harlem projects where he was raised at the Apollo Theater. Teddy Riley, Jim Jones, A$AP Ferg, Busta Rhymes, Kid Kapri, LL Cool J, and Angie Martinez were among those who paid tribute.

Some unexpected news coming from John Digweed‘s camp. According to the Guadalajara venue Bar Americas, Digweed has fallen ill and it’s unlikely he’ll make it to any of his shows this weekend.
“John Digweed has been hospitalized since Monday in Los Angeles, so we are forced to postpone his performance today. We were waiting for John to announce it on social media before, but we know that there are a lot of people traveling to Guadalajara for this show that is SOLD OUT. We decided not to wait any longer and always be honest in the face of any adversity. Let’s hope the big boss recovers soon. In the next few days we will inform you of the new date or you can request a refund, we are very sorry.”
Shortly after, Cookie Presenta, the promo company for John’s other show this weekend in Mexico City, along with Sasha, explained that the show will go on with just Sasha, which is still a massive performance. Below is the translated information from the company.
Digweed’s team released a statement officially postponing the shows. Hopefully the next bit of information that we receive is that John is up and doing well. Send all those healing vibes over!

Welcome back, enano!
Yes, yes, and yes all over again! Look, things come, and things go, and there are times of highs and lows in our lives. Last year, we certainly had a slightly grim time when we got to know Guy J, the legendary Progressive House producer, was retiring Lost & Found, a label which saw the rise of many leaders of the Organic and Progressive scenes today, after more than 10 years and 100 EPs on it.
But today we have amazing news to share, as, even though the L&F chapter is already complete, Guy J has opened the door to a new era: The Early Morning era. A new imprint, with new ideas, similar concepts and feelings, and led by the mastermind behind countless records we’ve loved for decades. Truly spectacular.
‘Million Years from Now / Just Rain‘
How could you possibly launch a record label in style? Let the founder cast some magic onto your ears and heart. And that’s why Early Morning’s earliest release comes from Guy J himself, in the form of a double tracker, the ‘Million Years from Now / Just Rain‘ EP. These are no ordinary tracks, as they’ve been IDs for years, and finally saw the light of day as the kickstarters to J’s new path.
Both tracks are exactly what you’d expect from Guy J: minutes and minutes on end of pure happiness and fly-away, hypnotising atmospheres, textures, and patterns, resting over a groovy base, boomy low end (in the best of ways), and a general picture that is simply spectacular. In other words, the EP is a sort of music Bob Ross thing. I can’t begin to describe them in more detail, just because I can’t find the words to explain what they make me feel.

Another singalong gem scored by the explosive duo!
Marsh has been making waves in the Electronic music scene with his releases on Anjunadeep, Last Night On Earth, Major Recordings, and Armada. His 2023 album Endless reached #1 on the Beatport Albums chart, and his recent world tour sold over 35,000 tickets. ‘Rabbit Hole’ showcases Marsh’s signature hypnotic melodies paired with ALLKNIGHT’s powerful songwriting.
‘Rabbit Hole’
Blending their styles in a way we’re already quite familiar with — not at all saying we’re tired of that formula, at all — ‘Rabbit Hole‘ is part of Marsh’s upcoming EP, Aria, which was inspired by his successful live shows in London and Manchester. The EP will be released on November 15th, and Tom is already on tour to celebrate and support it. In fact, he’s touring alongside Jodie Knight and Leo Wood, in a hybrid Dance show stopping at a handful of cities in the world, appropriately titled the Aria Tour. Secure your tickets over here.
“Something that has been really special about ‘Rabbit Hole’ is that it is still so fresh for Jodie and I“, says Tom. “We’re so often used to sitting on tracks for months, sometimes even years before they get released and the initial excitement can begin to fade a little! – Not the case with this one! It came around so last minute that it’s still super fresh for us and we’re both so stoked about it!“.

Here’s one great track for you to spark your weekend with.
We’ve got great news to share with you, as the highly anticipated debut album from Flashmob, Sundown, is rising over the horizon and its release date is getting closer and closer by the hour. Anticipating what will be his greatest work yet, he’s decided to lift the album’s title track, ‘Sundown‘, from the pack, to give listeners a glimpse into the LP.
The single is a standout one which perfectly captures the essence of Flashmob’s musical experimentation. Created over four years, the album it belongs to reflects Sandro’s experiences and influences from his decade-long career in the industry. He explains it was born out of a time of uncertainty and stillness during Lockdown. He used this time to reflect on his passion for music and his desire to create something meaningful.
‘Sundown’
The album’s title track, ‘Sundown‘, is a delightful blend of different genres. Everything from Afro, to House, to Progressive percussion, to warm Melodic ideas, to Deep House vocal loops, and even to Breakbeat. It truly can’t be boxed into one particular genre, as it’s quite the unique product. The best way to enjoy this track is without thinking too much, and instead turning the volume up, and closing your eyes.
“The time at home alone really gave me the opportunity to stop, reset and then go back to the studio organically and finally make music spontaneously without deadlines, genres nor labels in mind – free from everything“, Flashmob reflects. “So this album is all mine, there are no intentions other than to make music for me and to express the feelings of my love for life and Electronic music”.

Arguably the longest a song has been an ID for. In your face, Eric Prydz!
If you ever thought, “I was born too late to enjoy a new piece of Classical music“, sit down, you’re not going to believe this. In what might just be the world record for the most years a track has stayed an ID, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart just put out a new tune — over two entire centuries after his time as a famous composer.
A few days ago, Leipzig municipal libraries in Germany revealed their discovery of a previously unknown work by the great Austrian composer. This piece was found in Leipzig’s Municipal Library, while researchers worked on the next edition of the Köchel catalogue of Mozart’s works.
The chances of finding something new were really slim, but they certainly weren’t zero. Composed for string trio, the seven-movement piece is believed to have been written in the mid to late 1760s, when Mozart was a teenager. They found it under the title Serenate ex C.
The 12-minute composition was renamed Ganz kleine Nachtmusik, and they’ve been performing it at the composer’s birthplace in Salzburg. People are forming long queues ahead of each performance to witness history in the making.

When it comes to the magic conjured by an artist and the venue in which they perform, there may not be a better alliance than Of The Trees and AREA15.
The EDM.com Class of 2024 inductee, a rising superstar, has quickly emerged as one of the electronic music community's brightest artists at the intersection of sound design and visual storytelling. He recently announced his largest headlining tour yet, "Moonglade."
The expansive tour will send Of The Trees to a slew of major venues from coast to coast, but perhaps none more compelling than AREA15, the immersive Vegas campus changing the fabric of Sin City's entertainment sector. Considering the show's billing as "an unbelievable night of ice cold bass music from the frigid plains of Maine," attendees can safely expect a visual spectacle of epic—and haunting—proportions.
They'll be enveloped by the dreamlike whimsy of his signature, eye-popping LED castle stage design, which is touted as the pièce de résistance of "Moonglade." To that end, the convergence of the artist's phantasmal production and AREA15's captivating ambiance promises to be a rare and unforgettable event.
Of The Trees will take over AREA15 on November 29th, 2024. You can purchase passes here and check out the flyer below.

Hailing from Bangalore, India, rising music producer GNDHI has officially bequeathed an infectious tribute to his beloved hometown. Titled with warm-hearted adequacy, “Bangalore” materializes a tightly mixed and expertly rhythmic addition to GNDHI’s growing music catalog. The one-off dance cut, released in partnership between Sunset Entertainment and Create Music Group, effectively capitalizes on an ear-grabbing brass sequence upheld by intricate tribal percussion.
A trained drummer, percussionist, and saxophonist, GNDHI’s modest but mighty discography effectively captures the multi-instrumentalist’s long-nurtured talents. “Bangalore,” which could single-handedly back that claim, marks the burgeoning tastemaker’s fourth single of 2024, landing on the heels of “Cry Me A River,” “Move On,” and “BULLSHXT,” respectively. With respect to his latest, however, GNDHI delivers a bona fide club weapon while drawing direct inspiration from the lively essence of his hometown.
Given the commercial yet tasteful appeal of his new track, GNDHI will undoubtedly continue climbing the ranks as a credible musician in the dance music space. Get familiar with the rising talent’s sonic capabilities by streaming “Bangalore” below.

Earlier this week, media giant Billboard released an article that made serious allegations against several music festivals, including North Coast Music Festival. However, these claims were later proven to be incorrect.
The claims in question were that at least two festivals — North Coast and Lost Lands — had been selling part of their inventory tickets to Lyte as a way to scalp on a bit of extra revenue, as opposed to selling them themselves from their official first-hand website. After further investigation, though, it was discovered that North Coast Music Festival was actually selling tickets at or below face value on the secondary market to protect customers from being overcharged. This decision resulted in less profit for the festival itself.
Despite generating revenue from these sales — and expecting lesser profit from them —, the festivals did not receive any of the profits. According to court documents, North Coast Music Festival sold tickets on Lyte at a loss, even after accounting for the fees generated. Lost Lands Music Festival also experienced similar losses, with Lyte owing them over $300,000 in revenue and fees.
Billboard has since issued corrections and provided additional information to clarify their original claims, and most websites that used the original post as a source have also stepped back from their sayings, including us. We apologize for any misinformation reported, and we’ll be updating you on this topic as more information rolls out.

UKF is thrilled to present an exclusive extract from How You Make Me Feel by Sherif Dhaimish & Mark O’Donnell, the forthcoming book celebrating the life and legacy of Marcus Intalex, one of drum & bass’ most pioneering and beloved figures. From his early days DJing in Burnley to his transformative years on the Manchester rave scene, Marcus became a beacon for the drum & bass community worldwide, while also effortlessly moving into techno with his Trevino alias. The book chronicles his journey from the raw energy of ‘Gunchester’ jungle raves to international acclaim, capturing the essence of a man who was not just a DJ or producer, but a vital force in electronic music for nearly 30 years.
Told through the voices of those who knew him best, including Goldie, Calibre, DJ Flight, and Doc Scott, this illustrated oral history paints a vivid picture of Marcus’ trailblazing career. How You Make Me Feel offers over 100 rare photos, artwork, and memorabilia, bringing his story to life visually while providing a deep dive into the emotional weight of his music. From Metalheadz to Berghain, Marcus left an indelible mark on club culture, and this book is a fitting tribute to the enduring influence of a humble yet restless creative force who continues to inspire artists and music lovers across the globe.

Not content with creating a ruckus on dancefloors, Marcus’s production aspirations were firmly in motion. Alongside ST Files he’d struck up a fruitful studio partnership with tracks on Renegade Hardware, Breakbeat Science, Emotif and the D&B Arena album. In what was a one-time-only release, they explored the convergence of house and broken beat with ‘Taking Over Me’ on Hospital Records. Under their Ill Figure alias, ‘Untouchable’ b/w ‘Style’ on Suburban Base blew up, both sides receiving heavy rotation on BBC Radio 1’s ‘One in the Jungle’ and in the clubs. ‘Style’, with its catchy horns, hiphop vocal and a bassline so wobbly it made jelly look stiff, remains a classic Mancunian wall-slapper. Like the kids carrying Henry Hill’s groceries home for his mother in Goodfellas – the wall-slapping was the ultimate sign of respect.
In early 1999, their aim was simple: make a tune to get in Scotty’s record box. What they created became a scene-defining moment. ‘How You Make Me Feel’ was like a shard of light suddenly flashing away in the gloaming, a clarion call for those who wanted to embrace a deeper, more soulful strain of dancefloor D&B.
As darkside and jump-up D&B raged away in the big raves, and ‘sausagefest’ was used to describe the ratio of men to women rather than a celebration of British bangers, ‘HYMMF’ was the antidote. Bringing a hypnotic rolling groove with an acapella from a New York house release by Creative Force, it was immediately picked up by key tastemakers like Fabio who absolutely battered it on his Radio 1 show and at his weekly Swerve sessions in London. As legend would have it, Goldie got down on his knees in a Wayne’s World-esque ‘We’re not worthy’ salute after hearing it. Manchester D&B was having a moment.
That scene-defining moment signalled the start of a movement. Marcus and Files led the way by setting the standard for others to follow. They also had a healthy disregard for a-sides with each 12″ release having two killer cuts that could arguably be the lead single. ‘Love & Happiness’ and ‘Dreamworld’, again on Doc Scott’s 31 Records, reinforced their reputation for mining the deeper end of the spectrum and showcased a sonic palette that saw them raid their record collections to sample Philadelphia’s First Choice and an early Roger Sanchez cut. While they brought a musical maturity missing in a lot of the high-impact but quickly disposable dancefloor tracks at the time, they maintained a clear focus on making music to bust up a dance.
