Ganja White Night and Tape B’s hotly anticipated collaboration “Ganja Tape” emerges as a formidable contender for the genre’s throne. This union between the established wobble wizards Ganja White Night and Tape B is less a meeting of minds and more a collision of sonic universes.
The track opens with the now-iconic call-and-response, “Yo Tape B! Yes, Ganja,” a vocal sample that’s become a rallying cry for bass heads nationwide. It’s a clever bit of branding, instantly recognizable and meme-worthy, ensuring the track’s virality before the first wobble even hits. This intro sets the stage for what follows: a masterclass in tension and release that’s become the hallmark of modern dubstep. Ganja White Night’s signature “wobble” is present in full force, a sound that’s become immediately identifiable in the bass music world. It’s a testament to their artistry that this sound remains fresh, even as it’s become ubiquitous. Tape B, not to be outdone, infuses the track with his own brand of sonic alchemy. His contributions are most evident in the intricate sound design that weaves through the drops, adding layers of complexity that reward repeated listens.
The track’s structure follows the well-worn path of build-drop-repeat, but it’s in the details where “Ganja Tape” truly shines. Each drop is a carefully crafted explosion of low-end theory, designed to test the limits of festival sound systems, car subwoofers and your eardrums. The interplay between Ganja White Night’s more organic wobbles and Tape B’s digital manipulations creates a tension that drives the track forward, never allowing the listener a moment of complacency. It’s a track that knows its audience and delivers precisely what they want, with enough flair to stand out in a crowded field. Whether it has the staying power to truly be the bass music song of the year remains to be seen, but for now, it’s a potent reminder of why these artists are at the forefront of their genre.

Ministry of Sound, the iconic London club, is turning 33 this season. To commemorate its life, and the way it has shaped the Dance industry ever since, they are bringing back the clubbing prices of 1991. Over the next year, the London club will release 20,000 event tickets for just £5 each.
In addition to the discounted ticket prices, Ministry of Sound will also be offering drinks at yesteryear prices from 10 pm to midnight every single night. This nod to the club’s early days is a way to celebrate its history and make clubbing more accessible for a new generation.
“Let’s talk about the elephant (& castle) in the club — the UK’s shrinking late-night scene. We see the stats, and we’re not standing idly by“, the club mentions. “Our mission? Keep clubbing accessible, and affordable for Gen Z, Alphas, Betas, and anyone who believes in the power of club culture. Here’s to the next 33 years of culture, sound, and breaking rules“.
Last weekend, Mella Dee, Carista, Cici, and Groove Armada kicked off the celebrations — and the old prices —, all centered around the venue’s anniversary. Ministry of Sound has expressed concern about the shrinking late-night scene in the UK. By offering affordable ticket prices and drinks, the club aims to keep clubbing accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Besides delivering world-class events, Zamna also has its own music label. This month, Zamna Records welcomed Sevenn, Jono Stephenson, and Liu Bei for the March Of Avalon EP.
Right from the beginning, the introduction with its magical and gloomy components produces an interesting mood. For the audience, this decision creates a mystery and expectation. A deft production approach is the change into a dreamy, cinematic soundscape for the collapse. It most certainly offers the tune a moment of emotional depth and contrast.
After this break, the change to synth-driven melodic techno beats most certainly has a strong effect. For both emotional involvement and dancefloor intensity, this arrangement – creating tension with darker components, releasing into a dramatic break, and then dropping into strong melodic techno – seems quite good.

“Cold World” has a more melodic quality, implying another emotional tone than “March of Avalon”. Adding vocals gives still another degree of complexity and possible audience engagement. In melodic techno, vocals can be used for anything from a lyrical topic to texture to another melodic part in themselves.
There seems to be a careful contrast between these two tracks. With its musical focus and vocal element, “Cold World” might provide a more instantaneous emotional connection; “March of Avalon” seems to be more about creating an epic, maybe a darker trip.

It’s always pretty interesting how, instead of releasing a whole EP package, only on Spotify, the release is split in two singles.

In the ever-churning world of EDM remixes, where chart-toppers are reborn as dancefloor anthems with clockwork regularity, R3HAB’s take on Doc Backer’s “Tequila” arrives with the subtlety of a shot glass slammed on a bar top. The Dutch-Moroccan producer, known for his Midas touch in transforming pop hits into club weapons, approaches Backer’s track with his trademark bravado and a toolkit of production elements that have served him well over the years. R3HAB’s remix is a masterclass in crowd-pleasing predictability.
The original’s essence is distilled and then liberally spiked with pulsating beats and soaring synths that wouldn’t feel out of place in any main stage set from the past decade. It’s a formula that works, much like the drink it’s named after – you know exactly what you’re getting, and it delivers the desired effect with ruthless efficiency.
The remix’s strength lies in its unabashed embrace of EDM excess. R3HAB cranks up the energy to 11, transforming “Tequila” from a mere song into a sensory assault designed to whip festival crowds into a frenzy. The drops hit like a wave of bass, washing over listeners with the subtlety of a tidal wave. It’s the audio equivalent of a neon sign, impossible to ignore and designed to draw you in.

Reason 12 by Reson Studios
Hey UKF crew! Let’s talk music. I get asked about the gear that I use a lot. In reality, the only real gear I use is a MIDI keyboard and Reason 12. That’s all I need. Reason 12 is my go-to DAW because it’s super fast and easy to use. I love how quickly I can get my ideas down and start playing around with them. The way Reason’s interface is set up helps me move from one idea to the next without getting stuck, which is key when I want to turn spontaneous thoughts into music fast.
Having a midi keyboard is also crucial for working fast because you don’t have to waste time fiddling with the piano roll. One of the best things about Reason is its synths. They’ve got this unique sound that really nails the old-school dubstep vibe. Many of the old tunes you might know even have loads of reason synth presets in them! Since Reason didn’t have VST support for many years, I was limited to only the stock reason synths, and got to know them very well. When it comes to making my tracks loud and punchy, the VST Saturate plugin is my favourite. It’s simple to use and gets the job done in about 3 clicks of the mouse. Just a bit of saturate gives my mixes a really nice gluing and giving me loudness without compromising dynamics.
Another must-have in my setup is the VST Pro-Q equalizer. It’s a game-changer for making sure everything in my mix sounds clear and balanced. Pro-Q is easy to use and lets me make precise adjustments to each track, which helps everything fit together nicely. If you check my projects you will see it on almost every track. When it comes down to it, I use Reason because that’s what I have always used. So, it is my all-in-one gear toolkit.

The future of transportation hit a speed bump over the weekend outside San Francisco's Portola Music Festival, where at least two of Google's autonomous Waymo vehicles appeared to malfunction and block traffic.
The two-day electronic music festival returned to Pier 80 on Saturday, September 28th with a lineup featuring RÜFÜS DU SOL, Gesaffelstein and Justice, among others. Many festivalgoers on Sunday night reported unexpected delays due to a number of stalled Waymo cars heading westbound on Cesar Chavez Street.
"The shuttle line was completely backed up and we had to exit the shuttle," one frustrated attendee said in a post on X.
One shuttle was stuck for over 30 minutes, another passenger said.
An irate attendee has now urged Portola's organizers, Goldenvoice, to ban Waymo from the festival's grounds in a thread created on the r/PortolaFestival subreddit. There, a person who claims to have been a passenger in one of the immobilized Waymo cars responded.
"I was in one of THE Waymo's that f***ed up traffic on one of the side streets," the passenger wrote. "We were doing everything that we could to get it to move, but support wouldn't do anything."
Waymo, which is considered the world's preeminent autonomous vehicle company, uses a combination of AI, lidar and machine learning to navigate city streets. Despite being a market leader, the company faces ongoing challenges in technology refinement and regulatory hurdles as it aims to scale its operations.
Alphabet, Google's parent company, invested $5 billion in Waymo in July. Morgan Stanley analysts in 2021 valued the self-driving unit at $175 billion but ultimately slashed that figure down to $105 billion. The Financial Times at the time reported the valuation was actually closer to $30 billion.
Waymo has not yet publicly commented on the Portola Music Festival ordeal at the time of this writing.

Over the course of an hour and fifteen minutes, the Dutch duo played out music from their discography both old and new including album cuts “Slipstream,” “Blowfish,” “Nowhere To Go,” and more. The set also featured staples like “Children” with Robert Miles, and their euphoric remix of Sian Evans “Hide U” served as the crescendo to a live set that delivered on high expectations coming off of the new album. Finding your unique sound as an artist or producer can feel like an overwhelming task in a world filled with endless music and constant innovation. However, carving out your own sonic identity is not just about standing out—it’s about discovering the authentic expression of your creativity. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your style, this guide will help you navigate the process of finding your unique sound.
1. Discover Your Influences
One of the first steps in finding your own sound is understanding what influences you. The music you love and the artists you admire can offer insights into your tastes and preferences.
Explore Various Genres: Dive into different musical styles, even ones you’re not familiar with. Whether it’s jazz, electronic, classical, or folk, each genre has something to offer. Pay attention to the instrumentation, rhythms, and melodies that resonate with you. Analyze Artists You Admire: What draws you to certain artists? Is it their songwriting, production, vocal style, or use of effects? Try to pinpoint the elements that captivate you. However, avoid the temptation to copy; instead, use their work as inspiration to fuel your own creative ideas. Once you identify your influences, start combining different elements from them. This blend of diverse styles will begin to form the foundation of your unique sound.
2. Experiment with Sound Design and Instruments
Your sound is more than just the genre or style you work in—it’s also about the tones, textures, and instruments you choose to use.
· Sound Design: Explore different sound design techniques, such as synthesis, sampling, and effects. Learning to craft your own sounds or manipulate existing ones allows you to tailor a sonic palette that’s entirely your own. For instance, experiment with creating your own custom synth patches, tweaking drums, or layering unusual sounds into your tracks.
· Try Different Instruments: Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone with instruments. Adding unexpected elements, like a violin in an electronic track or a distorted guitar in a pop song, can bring a new layer of uniqueness to your music. Even small changes, such as altering how you play a familiar instrument, can yield new creative results.
3. Find the Emotional Core of Your Music
Your sound is not just about how your music sounds—it’s also about how it feels. What emotions are you trying to convey through your music? Do you want your sound to be uplifting, melancholic, nostalgic, or intense?
· Identify Themes and Moods: Think about the themes and moods you naturally gravitate towards in your work. What stories are you trying to tell, and what emotions do you want to evoke in your listeners? These answers can guide your sound development.
· Lyrics and Songwriting: If you’re a songwriter, pay attention to the stories you want to tell through your lyrics. The way you write—whether abstract, direct, poetic, or narrative—can shape how your sound develops. Make sure the music and lyrics align emotionally, reinforcing the overall mood you want to create.
Focusing on the emotional core of your music ensures that your sound will resonate with authenticity, which is key to establishing a unique identity.
4. Develop Your Technical Skills
Technical mastery is essential to bring your creative vision to life. While some musicians thrive on spontaneity and intuition, understanding the technical side of music production gives you the control to shape your sound exactly the way you want it.
· Master Your Tools: Whether you’re working with instruments or digital production tools, know them inside out. The better you understand your DAW, synthesizers, effects, or instruments, the more freedom you’ll have to experiment and innovate. You should also look into singing classes London UK to truly understand how to make an impact with your voice.
· Mixing and Effects: Learn how to use EQ, compression, reverb, and other effects to sculpt your sound. The way you mix can dramatically change the feel of your music. For example, a dry, upfront vocal mix gives a different feel than a heavily reverbed, distant vocal sound. By playing with these elements, you can make your music sound distinct.
· Arrangement and Structure: Experiment with song structures and arrangements. Breaking away from traditional verse-chorus structures can set your sound apart and give your music a unique flow.
Having technical skills at your disposal will help you push creative boundaries while ensuring that your music sounds professional and polished.
5. Trust Your Instincts and Evolve Over Time
Your sound doesn’t need to be static. Allow yourself the freedom to evolve and adapt as you grow as an artist. What you may consider your unique sound today might shift and change over time as you gain experience, explore new ideas, or encounter different influences.
· Don’t Chase Trends: While it’s tempting to follow popular trends, doing so can stifle your authenticity. Instead, focus on what excites you personally. Your instincts are your best guide to creating music that’s true to who you are.
· Be Patient: Developing a unique sound takes time, and it can be tempting to rush the process. Give yourself the space to experiment and explore at your own pace. Consistency and perseverance are key.
Allow your sound to grow organically, and don’t be afraid of change. What’s most important is that your music feels true to you and speaks to the vision you have as an artist.
Wrapping Up
Finding your unique sound is a rewarding journey that requires exploration, patience, and self-discovery. By drawing inspiration from your influences, experimenting with sound design and instruments, developing your technical skills, and trusting your creative instincts, you’ll gradually uncover a sound that is authentically yours. Remember that your sound can evolve over time, so stay open to growth and change as you continue to create. In the end, your uniqueness will come through in your willingness to embrace both the art and the process.

In this panel, two major music festival organizers and a Deaf DJ will share best practices and insights on creating inclusive festivals, while also highlighting the key elements of a Dutch model for accessible events.

Among the pioneers in this movement are Glastonbury (U.K) and Amsterdam Open Air (NL), both of which have implemented comprehensive measures to accommodate all attendees.
Glastonbury, one of the world's largest and iconic festivals is nominated for “World’s most accessible music festival” and Amsterdam Open Air, a pioneer in the Netherlands, had the premiere last summer of the first Sit-Down Cafe, an inclusive activation for all festivalgoers to meet and party. Eva Eikhout (NL) will host this conversation to share Andrew Lansley and Farida Baalbaki's latest insights and measures on accessible festivals. With DJ Calvin Khan, we will dive into inclusive sound for Deaf audiences.

To continue what was been a highlight calendar for zensei ゼンセー, the Canadian native has now added a full-length album to his 2024 resumé. After delivering his sound therapy EP earlier in the year on Monstercat, zensei ゼンセー has now made his formal original debut on Seeking Blue — after carrying out remix duties for Midnight Kids — with an eight-sided LP titled fun..
Preceded by a trifecta of album previews, fun. serves as the intertwining between the electronic dimensions of lo-fi, breakbeat, R&B, and house, which had previously earned him acknowledgement in iconic video game series like Fortnite and Rocket League and also caught the eye of Zedd earlier in September. And fun. is what would appear if one searched up the definition for the ideal fall weather album, with zensei ゼンセー continuing to polish his calming approach all the way from the LP’s title number down to its aptly branded outro, also calling in vocal assistance from the likes of dreamsuite, Delaney Kai and Mr. Hilroy.

Renowned electronic music duo W&W have teamed up with Austrian hard dance powerhouses Harris & Ford and legendary Eurodance producer Special D for an electrifying rework of a timeless hit, ‘Another Day in Paradise’. As a follow-up to their collaboration ‘Come With Me’, the trio fuses elements of classic trance and Eurodance to deliver a high-energy, festival-ready anthem while paying homage to the iconic 1989 original by Phil Collins which became worldwide number one track.
DJ- and Producer-Duo W&W dominates dance floors and festivals around the globe. Formed in 2007, these two are known for their high energy, genre-blending festival music and have been ranked in DJ Mag’s Top 20 spots for over a decade. Reaching over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, their productions are championed by fans and artists alike for their magnitude, diversity and massive appeal to multiple audiences. There is no doubt that they are pioneers in the main stage electronic dance music scene. With the rise of their Rave Culture label, and the impact of their NWYR trance alias, W&W are pushing the limits and making a lasting impact.
Harris & Ford is an Austrian DJ / producer team consisting of the two DJs and producers Kevin Kridlo and Patrick Pöhl. The two Viennese producers describe their style as a special crossover of different styles, ranging from hardstyle and happy hardcore to future rave and techno. Their biggest hits include ‘God Save The Rave’ (with Scooter) as well as ‘Fantasy’ (with W&W). The list of their songs is long, and their songs and remixes have been streamed over a billion times to date. With their energetic performance, Harris & Ford are among the fixed stars on the world’s biggest festival stages.
Dennis Horstmann, better known as Special D, boldly set out to conquer the international pop and dance market in 2003 with his very first song ‘Come with Me’. That was just the beginning. In the following years he not only was nominated for an ECHO award, he also picked up the Netherlands’ top music trophy, the TMF Award as Best International Dance Act. In addition to his own tracks, Dennis has also written and produced songs for other artists in the recent years, including Dickheadz, DJ Dean, and DJ Digress.

Ultra Music Festival is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary in historic fashion. The festival will return to its long-time home of Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami from Friday, March 28 – Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Ahead of this milestone event, Ultra has unveiled its impressive Phase 1 lineup. This year the Ultra Miami lineup is a momentous roster.
Pre-phase 1 lineup: Anyma b2b Solomun
As the preeminent curator of electronic music’s rare, ‘you-had-to-be-there’ moments, Ultra kickstarted the Phase 1 lineup announcements last week with some serious surprise. Ultra revealed the plans to host the first-ever, world-exclusive Anyma b2b Solomun performance as a headlining set on the festival’s Main Stage.
A revolutionary collaboration between Anyma’s cutting-edge audiovisual artistry, and Solomun’s renowned technical mastery. This landmark and global debut will combine mesmerizing visual installations, avant-garde sound engineering, and awe-inspiring stage design. Be prepared to be brought to a futuristic, immersive experience.
It’s all about techno: Solomun’s Diynamic at Ultra Miami 2025
Soon after announcing the historic Anyma b2b Solomun set, Ultra unveiled even more exciting Solomun news. What, you may ask. Well, the Croatian DJ will bring his Diynamic record label to the festival for the very first time. They will host an exclusive stage takeover at the RESISTANCE MegaStructure. Diynamic’s debut Ultra Music Festival takeover will feature a solo headlining set from Solomun himself. Expect also first-time festival performances from esteemed artists like English electronic experimentalism pioneer Four Tet, Dutch tech-house superstar Mau P, and more.
Carl Cox Ultra Miami The return of the master: Carl Cox Invites to debut at Ultra Music Festival
Ultra’s 25th anniversary celebration wouldn’t be complete without its most iconic figure, Carl Cox. He will be debuting his brand-new Live Show in his headlining set at the RESISTANCE MegaStructure. He is an institution at Ultra Miami having DJing at the event’s third edition back in 2001, shaping Ultra’s legacy with every performance.
In 2005, Ultra broke ground by inviting Cox to curate his very own stage, which started as a modest tent dubbed ‘Carl Cox & Friends.’  Over the last two decades, that humble tent has evolved into the world-famous RESISTANCE MegaStructure.
Although Cox has curated numerous stage takeovers at Ultra over the years, the 2025 festival will see the beloved artist bring his globe-trotting ‘Carl Cox Invites’ brand to the event for the very first time.
Anchored by the debut of Carl Cox’s brand-new Live Show, the ‘Carl Cox Invites’ stage takeover will feature a plethora of live performances from house and techno heavyweights.
Ultra has spent the last two decades cementing its status as the vanguard of dance music’s never-before-seen, history-making performances, and the festival’s 25th anniversary celebration will raise the bar even higher.
deadmau5 b2b Pendulum DJ set
In addition to presenting the world’s first Anyma b2b Solomun set, Ultra 2025 will also host the first-ever, world-exclusive deadmau5 b2b Pendulum DJ set. Yes, it’s a thing, we were surprised as well.
Although deadmau5 and Pendulum have previously shared the Ultra stage, their upcoming b2b DJ set will mark the first full-scale collaborative performance between the two.
In addition to their debut b2b DJ set, both deadmau5 and Pendulum will also deliver headlining standalone performances. Multi-platinum electronic music producer deadmau5 will play the first-ever ‘retro5pective set,’ featuring a collection of his old-school catalog hits – no new material, just pure, iconic throwbacks.
Meanwhile, Pendulum will present a live performance, their first at Ultra since 2022.
Some house music, shall we?
In another festival first, house music megastars Dom Dolla and John Summit will take to Ultra’s Main Stage with their joint project, Everything Always.
Five-time GRAMMY Award-nominee Axwell is a seasoned presence on Ultra’s Main Stage. For the first time in the festival’s history, Ultra 2025 will feature Axwell performing his own solo headlining set on the Main Stage.
Legendary trance group Above & Beyond will return, delivering an exclusive performance for festival’s 25th anniversary.
Trance but it’s also big room
Trance legend Armin van Buuren has been a mainstay at Ultra since his inaugural performance in 2005. At Ultra 2025, Van Buuren will deliver yet another mesmeric Main Stage, headlining set, in addition to hosting a stage takeover from his global radio show A State of Trance. It will mark the 13th ASOT takeover in the festival’s history.
Following his stunning sunset performance at Ultra 2024, illustrious Dutch producer and DJ Hardwell will once again headline the Main Stage in 2025.
Ultra will also welcome back world-renowned superstar Martin Garrix, who made his Ultra debut in 2014 when he was only 17 years old and has headlined nearly every edition of the festival since then (with the exception of 2018).
Martin Garrix Ultra Miami 2022 Zedd will return to Ultra’s Main Stage after his electrifying 2023 performance, which included a surprise appearance by superstar rapper Ice Spice. Zedd’s upcoming Main Stage headlining set will mark his first Ultra performance since the release of his ‘Telos‘ LP earlier this summer, his first album in nine years.
With this massive Phase 1 lineup announcement, Ultra will also welcome back a plethora of veteran headliners. They include Swedish superstar Alesso, who last performed at Ultra 2023, GRAMMY-winning Dutch icon Tiësto, and Dutch international sensation Afrojack.
It’s all dark here
Ultra’s 25th anniversary installment will also usher in the highly-anticipated returns of two pioneering electronic music acts: Gesaffelstein and Nero.
Gesaffelstein, known for his dark and atmospheric soundscapes, will grace the Ultra stage for the first time since 2014. Expect his electrifying energy and cutting-edge production to celebrate the festival’s milestone.
Meanwhile, Nero, the GRAMMY award-winning trio celebrated for their fusion of dubstep and drum & bass, will perform at Ultra for the first time since 2016.
It’s techno, yet again: RESISTANCE
Ultra’s esteemed underground brand, RESISTANCE, will once again present a bevy of house and techno’s most in-demand acts across two stages: The Megastructure and The Cove.

Listen to an incredible track we recently came across.
In a world filled with digital synths, standard samples, proven formulas and little risk to innovate, would you like to discover something new? We’re happy to share the news today coming to you from the Grand Alliance Music family, as they’ve put out a bomb today from Garlic Party, and label heads, Willdabeast.
Willdabeast
Live-brass-infused Electronic duo Willdabeast (Will Glazier and Dan de Lisle) continue to contribute to the Hybrid Bass music scene in the U.S., offering a fresh, genre-bending perspective. Their signature, distinctive note incorporates their iconic horns and flute into their tracks across a wide range of Dance genres. In fact, this is not the first time we’ve shared a release of theirs.
Garlic Party
Garlic Party, a purveyor of fine, funkified beats, has been reviving Ghetto Funk with his new spins on the old school genre throughout Western Australia and beyond. Also known as Timmy Howe, he’s become an important figure in the Great Southern Land music industry, and he has contributed significantly to regional events like Rain Dance Festival.
(Left to right, top to bottom) Willdabeast, Brotha Nature, Garlic Party. ‘Killa’
Imhotep. Both mastermind acts Garlic Party and Willdabeast have recently joined forces to produce a belter of a song. ‘Killa’ is a standout track that combines elements of Funk, Bass, and even Techno. The song’s catchy melody and infectious beat make it a dancefloor-deserving tune, something you’d play at a peak energy section of your set. The collaboration brings the artists alongside MC Brotha Nature’s powerful vocals, for the icing on the cake.
Enjoy the synergy of all elements coming together in an ideal combination. First a Mid-tempo track, it quickly evolves to something that’s straight out of your favourite Skate franchise soundtrack, but all at once. It’s a rush that you feel with ‘Killa’; it’s a piece that truly makes you feel good and motivated, and it also tests your strongest stank face, or, as the old joke comes in here, your Imhotep face.

Ultra Music Festival is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary in historic fashion, returning to its long-time home of Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami from Friday, March 28 – Sunday, March 30, 2025. Ahead of this milestone event, Ultra has unveiled its impressive Phase 1 lineup – a momentous roster that further solidifies its legacy as the World’s Premier Electronic Music Festival.
As the preeminent curator of electronic music’s rare, ‘you-had-to-be-there’ moments,
Ultra kickstarted the Phase 1 lineup announcements last week by revealing plans to host the first-ever, world-exclusive Anyma b2b Solomun performance as a headlining set on the festival’s Main Stage. A revolutionary collaboration between Anyma’s cutting-edge audiovisual artistry, and Solomun’s renowned technical mastery, this landmark, global debut will combine mesmerizing visual installations, avant-garde sound engineering, and awe-inspiring stage design to create a futuristic, immersive experience for the ages.
Soon after announcing the historic Anyma b2b Solomun set, Ultra unveiled even more exciting Solomun news: the Croatian DJ will bring his Diynamic record label to the festival for the very first time, hosting an exclusive stage takeover at the RESISTANCE MegaStructure. Diynamic’s debut Ultra Music Festival takeover will feature a solo headlining set from Solomun himself, as well as first-time festival performances from esteemed artists like English electronic experimentalism pioneer Four Tet, Dutch tech-house superstar Mau P and more.
Ultra’s 25th anniversary celebration wouldn’t be complete without its most iconic figure, Carl Cox, who will be debuting his brand-new Live Show in his headlining set at the RESISTANCE MegaStructure. The legendary British DJ and producer has been a cornerstone of the festival since DJing at the event’s third edition back in 2001, shaping Ultra’s legacy with every performance. In 2005, Ultra broke ground by inviting Cox to curate his very own stage, which started as a modest tent dubbed ‘Carl Cox & Friends.’ Over the last two decades, that humble tent has evolved into the world-famous RESISTANCE MegaStructure, helping to solidify Ultra Music Festival as the premier tastemakers for not only stadium-smashing, Main Stage superstars, but also for underground house and techno masters.
Although Cox has curated numerous stage takeovers at Ultra over the years, the 2025 festival will see the beloved artist bring his globe-trotting ‘Carl Cox Invites’ brand to the event for the very first time. Taking over the RESISTANCE MegaStructure, ‘Carl Cox Invites’ revolves around Cox’s reputation for bringing together artists who are pushing the boundaries of electronic music, showcasing the underground’s most in-demand talents alongside emerging house and techno stars.
In addition to presenting the world’s first Anyma b2b Solomun set, Ultra 2025 will also host the first-ever, world-exclusive deadmau5 b2b Pendulum DJ set. Although deadmau5 and Pendulum have previously shared the Ultra stage – when deadmau5 joined Pendulum during their 2016 Main Stage set for a performance of ‘Ghosts ‘N’ Stuff’ (with Pendulum’s Rob Swire) – their upcoming b2b DJ set will mark the first full-scale collaborative performance between these two electronic music giants.
In addition to their debut b2b DJ set, both deadmau5 and Pendulum will also deliver headlining standalone performances that are equally as special.
In another festival first, house music megastars Dom Dolla and John Summit will take to Ultra’s Main Stage with their joint project, Everything Always, marking the superduo’s debut Miami performance. Since launching this collaborative venture in 2023, Everything Always has quickly become one of electronic music’s most sought-after shows seamlessly blending their unique styles and musical visions into an immersive, high-octane affair.
Five-time GRAMMY Award-nominee Axwell is a seasoned presence on Ultra’s Main Stage, having headlined the festival multiple times as part of his Swedish House Mafia supergroup, as well as his collaborative Axwell Λ Ingrosso project. However, for the first time in the festival’s history, Ultra 2025 will feature Axwell performing his own solo headlining set on the Main Stage.
Legendary trance group Above & Beyond etched their name in Ultra history with a surprise headlining set at the festival’s 2018 edition, delivering one of the most captivating and euphoric performances of the weekend to close out the ASOT Stage. Now returning for the first time since that momentous occasion, Above & Beyond will deliver an exclusive performance for festival’s 25th anniversary.
Trance legend Armin van Buuren has been a mainstay at Ultra since his inaugural performance in 2005, and eighteen years later, he continues to push the boundaries of his artistry. During his headlining set on Ultra’s Main Stage earlier this year, the GRAMMY-nominated powerhouse delighted fans with a surprise appearance by American rockstar Jon Bon Jovi, premiering his unreleased remix of Bon Jovi’s 1992 classic single “Keep the Faith.” At Ultra 2025, Van Buuren will deliver yet another mesmeric Main Stage, headlining set, in addition to hosting a stage takeover from his global radio show A State of Trance – which will mark the 13th ASOT takeover in the festival’s history.
Following his stunning sunset performance at Ultra 2024, illustrious Dutch producer and DJ Hardwell will once again headline the Main Stage in 2025, building on the momentum from his set last March and his surprise closing performance in 2022. Known for blending his vintage sound with an updated big room techno style, the Revealed Recordings label boss continues to play a vital role in the Ultra Music Festival brand, both before and after his four-year hiatus from 2018 to 2022.
Ultra will also welcome back world-renowned superstar Martin Garrix, who made his Ultra debut in 2014 when he was only 17 years old and has headlined nearly every edition of the festival since then (with the exception of 2018).
Three-time GRAMMY Award-winner and multi-platinum artist Zedd will return to Ultra’s Main Stage after his electrifying 2023 performance, which included a surprise appearance by superstar rapper Ice Spice. Zedd’s upcoming Main Stage headlining set will mark his first Ultra performance since the release of his ‘Telos’ LP earlier this summer, his first album in nine years.
With this massive Phase 1 lineup announcement, Ultra will also welcome back a plethora of veteran headliners, including Swedish superstar Alesso, who last performed at Ultra 2023, GRAMMY-winning Dutch icon Tiësto, and Dutch international sensation Afrojack.
LSZEE, the collaborative project featuring bass masters CloZee and LSDREAM, will make its monumental Ultra debut at the 2025 festival, uniting their unique sonic landscapes for an unforgettable performance. Following LSDREAM’s solo set in 2022 and CloZee’s solo performance in 2023, this highly-anticipated collaboration promises to blend CloZee’s ethereal soundscapes with LSDREAM’s heavy-hitting bass, creating a transformative, galvanizing experience.
Ultra’s 25th anniversary installment will also usher in the highly-anticipated returns of two pioneering electronic music acts: Gesaffelstein and Nero. Gesaffelstein, known for his dark and atmospheric soundscapes, will grace the Ultra stage for the first time since 2014, bringing his electrifying energy and cutting-edge production to celebrate the festival’s milestone. Meanwhile, Nero, the GRAMMY award-winning trio celebrated for their fusion of dubstep and drum & bass, will perform at Ultra for the first time since 2016, promising an unforgettable experience for fans as they showcase their iconic hits and innovative new material.
Similarly, Ultra’s Phase 1 lineup announcement also includes festival veterans like iconic UK drum & bass duo Chase & Status, who are set to unveil their new live show following their explosive Ultra 2024 DJ set. Cyclops label-head Subtronics will also make his return, bringing his signature, bass-heavy arsenal after a powerful debut at the festival in 2023.
Ultra’s esteemed underground brand, RESISTANCE, will once again present a bevy of house and techno’s most in-demand acts across two stages: The Megastructure and The Cove.
Richie Hawtin is no stranger to the RESISTANCE MegaStructure, but the 2025 festival will mark the techno pioneer’s first live performance at Ultra, where he’ll present his revolutionary live show ‘DEX EFX X0X.’ Anchored within the immersive fluidity in digital manipulation that Hawtin’s DJ performances have become synonymous with, DEX EFX X0X builds upon the concepts of his ‘Decks, EFX & 909” series of compilation from 1995 – 2005, using all the performance tools available today. DEX EFX X0X demonstrates equally the early foundations and future of DJing, representing an exciting evolutionary step in Hawtin’s lifelong commitment to the development of the electronic music scene.
Heralded as the most international house and techno festival brand, RESISTANCE will feature headlining performances from leading underground acts, like Drumcode label boss Adam Beyer, as well as KNTXT ringleader Charlotte de Witte, who will return to the festival following her historic Main Stage debut at Ultra 2023. Joining them will be Boris Brejcha, the German ‘high-tech minimal’ specialist who made waves with his Ultra debut in 2022 by hosting his FCKNG SERIOUS record label’s first-ever showcase in America. Also featured will be Miss Monique, now a staple of the ULTRA Worldwide circuit, who captivated RESISTANCE audiences at the 2024 editions of ULTRA Europe, ULTRA Korea, ULTRA Japan and ULTRA Hong Kong. British techno producer Eli Brown will return to Ultra for his first-ever solo set, following his 2024 performance alongside Oliver Heldens’ techno alias HI-LO, while Ukrainian duo ARTBAT will once again fuel the RESISTANCE dance floor with their chart-topping records.
RESISTANCE will also present debut festival performances from beloved underground acts including 999999999, the Italian duo renowned for their influential role in the modern hard techno scene, and I Hate Models, the French producer who epitomizes the essence of contemporary industrial techno.
In addition to hosting stage takeovers from Carl Cox Invites, Diynamic, and ASOT, Ultra 2025 will proudly welcome preeminent hardstyle label Dirty Workz back to the UMF Radio Stage for the fourth consecutive year. After making history by hosting Ultra’s first-ever hardstyle stage at the 2022 festival, Dirty Workz will once again serve up a smattering of hardstyle, jumpstyle and happy hard beats. Continuing the festival’s endless commitment to touching all corners of the dance floor, Ultra 2025 will present the festival’s first-ever psytrance stage, curated by powerhouse psytrance duo Vini Vici’s Alteza Records.
Featuring an extensive array of world-class performers, with nods to the past, present, and future of electronic music, Ultra’s expertly-curated Phase 1 lineup is a tour-de-force of genre-crossing talent. From trailblazing global debuts, to the celebrated homecomings of festival favorites, the Phase 1 lineup aptly sets the tone for more show-stopping artist announcements to come.

Nora En Pure’s imprint, Purified Records, has released its Purified Remixes II compilation, revisiting a selection of label releases from the past year. Inviting French producer Aalson to put his own spin on Colombian producer Deviu’s ‘Snow’ Ft. Mira Nait, his remix enters a heavier dimension while maintaining the original’s vocals and progressive atmosphere.
Moving into German producer TH;EN’s remix of ‘The Night’ by HEREON x Adam Sellouk x Braev x Like Mike, this powerful rendition builds a steady soundscape around the impactful vocals.
Revisiting Nightlapse’s ‘Weightless,’ Swiss producer Dan Sushi infuses trance and progressive elements to achieve a rave-ready version of the label anthem.

About the ‘Purified Remixes II’ Artists
Passionate about film music and techno, Aalson creates his own universe by crossing these two strong influences. Guided by his feelings, he developed a personal taste and a subtle approach to music, loaded with emotion and experience from along the years. With his releases on Spectrum, Purified, and Sinners, he has defined his own style and offers a sonic journey of rare power. His live show will tell you a story worthy of a movie, between melancholy and epic moments.

Constantly creating, adapting and above all learning, the sky is the limit for German-born project, TH;EN. Having consistently garnered support from top artists like Solomun, Pete Tong, and Adriatique, his recent success across leading dance music labels feels as if he’s only scratching the surface. A surface ripe with releases on imprints including Diynamic, Odd One Out, ATLANT, and Purified.
Dan Sushi is one half of the Swiss duo Fat Sushi. With releases on some of the most respected labels in music, they have chartered releases on the likes of Einmusika, DAYS like NIGHTS, Odd One Out, Parquet and Katermukke, to name a few. Spending almost two decades in the industry before they joined forces, the producers decided to unite under the moniker Fat Sushi in 2013. In 2023, Dan Sushi decided to start his own solo side project, landing his debut solo offering in the shape of his Titanium EP.

About the ‘Purified Remixes II’ Artwork
The Purified Remixes II artwork displays coral and surrounding reef fish, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Small reef fish play a crucial role in maintaining the health of coral ecosystems by controlling algae growth, which can otherwise smother corals. Their feeding habits promote coral regeneration and biodiversity, ensuring the resilience of these delicate marine habitats. These little fish also serve as a vital food source for larger predators, supporting the broader oceanic food web. You can help protect these ecosystems by being a citizen scientist; track fish and reef health when you volunteer your time to reefcheck.org.
You can stream/purchase each remix on the Purified Remixes II compilation here.
