American innovator HAUMS returns with ‘Squaring the Circle’, his second full-length album, on his own Quantum Feels imprint. Across eight expansive tracks, HAUMS invites listeners into a cinematic and deeply spiritual journey through melodic house – one that explores the eternal dance between the finite and infinite, the human and the divine.

Guided by a belief in the transformative power of music, HAUMS creates sound as ceremony—each track designed to awaken the body, stir the soul, and open portals of possibility. His productions are known for their emotional depth, majestic synthscapes, and hypnotic grooves, earning him 16 Beatport Top 100 placements and support from icons like Tiësto, Nora En Pure, and Vintage Culture.

The album opens with “Lost On Mars”, a soaring voyage through cosmic textures and crisp, slinky drums, before the powerful “Awake Me (Club Mix)” delivers a wave of cathartic energy through pulsing rhythms and transcendent vocals. “Resist and It Persists (Club Mix)” shifts the mood with driving percussion and darker, introspective tones, while “Power of Love” seduces with whispers and a rolling, hypnotic bassline.

“Reality”—featuring an evocative Alan Watts vocal, offers a moment of reflective stillness, as melancholic pads blur the lines between sound and silence. “Steps” then lifts the energy with luminous melodies and hopeful progressions, leading into the cinematic tension of “Into The Quantum”, a track that fuses drama and devotion through its undulating bass and ethereal atmosphere. The closing piece, “Beyond The Veil”, invites the listener into a final moment of inner contemplation—strobes of light flickering in the shadows of a resonant, brooding low end.

‘Squaring the Circle’ is more than a collection of songs—it is a sonic reflection of HAUMS’ personal evolution, and a sacred offering to those walking the path of conscious creation.

The excitement is building, and it’s certainly not too early to mention the E word. Yes, the Eurovision Song Contest is just around the corner! As tradition dictates, the reigning title holder, currently Nemo from Switzerland, is set to unveil a brand-new track to captivate fans before passing the prestigious crown to the next champion. This year, the spotlight will shine brightly in Basel, Switzerland, on Saturday, May 17th, for the 2025 contest. Thus making it a date you won’t want to miss!
“Casanova” marks the exciting return of Nemo, their second track since a groundbreaking Eurovision victory with “The Code.” After sharing “Eurostar” in October 2024, they continue to redefine music. With a mission centred on unfiltered authenticity. Nemo’s presence at Eurovision not only captivated audiences but also made them the first non-binary winner in the competition’s history.
Nemo wholeheartedly embraces diversity in every facet of their life, a philosophy that resonates strongly throughout their music career, which spans a vibrant alt-pop landscape. This commitment is clearly shown in the release of “Casanova.” Notably an electrifying electro-pop track brimming with an infectious bassline and catchy melodies. “Put put put put put. Your hands on my shoulders. Show me how to dance. Take me there Casanova. Te te tell me who I am.”
Above all, the song, explores the concept of stereotypes and gender identity. In this instance, namely alludes to Nemo presenting as more masculine.
Prepare for an exciting performance from Nemo at the ESC final in Basel on May 17th, where they will showcase their latest track. This song represents a transformative moment for the talented Swiss-born artist, who is currently crafting an impressive new body of work. We can therefore, eagerly anticipate this collection. And expect the body-of-work to debut at the end of 2025. This timeline is largely influenced by the rescheduling of their European tour, now taking place November 2025 instead of the spring. Don’t miss out on what promises to be a remarkable journey.

Following the enormous success of their 2024 Tears and Gearz tour, which captivated audiences across the USA, Canada, and the UK, it was only a matter of time before Bentley Robles and Zee Machine took their creative journey to the next level as a duo. They strongly hinted at this ambition with their recent track, “Lock Me Up!” released in February. As summer approaches, excitement builds around Tears & Gearz as these talented collaborators officially unveil “Delusional,” marking the launch of their partnership as a formidable duo. This debut track sets the stage for what promises to be an exhilarating musical venture.
Happily, we know what to expect from both Bentley Robles and Zee Machine. Also happily, they are giving queer-coded pop goodness in spades. Notably, they keep things in-house, linking up with long-time songwriter and producer collaborator Dominic Florio, who singularly assisted both artists with some of their campiest, pop songs.
With “Delusional,” Tears & Gearz boldly lay their cards on the table. They make it clear: neither will tolerate being dumped mid-date. The duo thrives on the thrill of their partners unleashing a whirlwind of complaints. Above all finding humour and excitement in this exchange. This unique dynamic not only brings them closer but also keeps the flames of passion burning bright.
Guess what the accompanying music video, consists of Bentley and Zee merely hanging out. But nevertheless, this ordinary situation is a vibe.
Seriously everything Zee Machine and Bentley Robles puts out is a notable fan favourite. I hear no different in “Delusional” the official debut of Tears & Gearz.
With over 20 million streams between them and a sold-out international tour already under their belt, TEARS & GEARZ isn’t a side project. This a pop supergroup in the making. “DELUSIONAL” drops April 2025, with more surprises to follow.

In this episode of My Forever Studio, brought to you in partnership with Audient, experimental veteran TOKiMONSTA tells us about a cheap synth she adores for bass, explains how she peppers her tracks with field recordings, ponders which historic synthesizer she’d steal off an electronic music pioneer, and all while skillfully bending our important Forever Studio rules.
TOKiMONSTA, real name Jennifer Lee, joins hosts Will Betts and Chris Barker following the release of her album, Eternal Reverie. Lee has been moving the needle in electronic music for over 15 years, becoming a revered trailblazer in the beat scene and a prominent producer on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label.
After a battle with Moyamoya disease in 2015, Lee briefly lost the ability to comprehend music and language — an experience which she says made her realise, “everything is finite and being able to create music and share it is a gift.” With the release of Eternal Reverie, Lee says that she “went back to my roots, where I didn’t have very much and I could create without any expectations. So, weirdly, even just talking about a dream studio, that’s kind of where I wanted to be when I made this album.”
Listen to the full episode below.

In the previous episode of My Forever Studio, we heard from British DJ, producer and podcaster extraordinaire Will Clarke, who told us about his Somerset dream studio, the must-have synth that could fuel his creativity forever, and which readily available mic he trusts for capturing vocal recordings.
The My Forever Studio podcast – created in partnership with Audient – sees artists, producers, and engineers create their dream fantasy Forever Studio, wherever they want in the universe. However, hosts Chris Barker and Will Betts impose some strict rules in the Forever Studio. Our guests are permitted a limited number of items in their creative space, so they must choose carefully. There will be nostalgia. There will be anecdotes. There may be gags. But there will be no bundles!

One of the most promising Brazilian acts stopped by for a friendly chat.
Today, we bring you a very interesting interviewee. Ragie Ban, a gifted DJ and producer, is making a name for himself in both the Brazilian and global music scenes. At just 22 years old and with three years under his belt, Ragie has already built up a remarkable CV, gaining support from prominent artists and releasing tracks on well-respected record labels. His music crosses genres, blending aspects of Techno, House, and others.
This young lad is one of those names that we’re sure we’ll see much more often in the future as a shaper and trailblazer of the Dance scene. And right now, in this stage where it all points to him blowing to new heights, we’ve had the pleasure of sitting down with him for an interview.
Touching upon topics such as early and current influences, piloting through burnout, concerns, music production, and then some, sit back and read on, as we compile the voice of he who’s sure to be the next global sensation in just a few releases’ time: Ragie Ban.
The Interview
(Please note, the bolded text represents a question, while the paragraph(s) following it represent Ragie’s answers.)
Which artists or musical movements have most profoundly shaped your sound and approach to music production?
The artists that have most profoundly shaped my sound and approach to music production are Kyle Watson, Bruno Furlan, Illusionize, Claude VonStroke, Green Velvet, Mahony, Gabe, Sosa, Cloonee, Michael Bibi, Pawsa, and Dennis Cruz. Each of them has influenced me in different ways—whether it’s their grooves, energy, or unique take on house and tech. Their work has inspired me to develop a style that blends powerful basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and elements that always connect with the dancefloor.
You’ve got a very distinct snare, which evokes both an 80s feel and an early years Soulwax vibe. How did you get to that specific sound, and do you feel like it’s a signature element of yours?
Getting to that sound was a process of experimentation. I’ve always loved the nostalgic vibe of 80s drum hits, but I wanted to bring something that feels modern and fits the current dancefloor context. I spend a lot of time selecting and designing the timbre, adding layers, parallel compression, and subtle effects to give it that signature punch. Over time, I think this type of snare has become one of my trademarks because it carries both a nostalgic weight and an energy that connects well with today’s audience.
Your tracks have a compelling minimalist approach, where each element holds a significant role without overcrowding the mix. Could you give us a bit of an insight into how you decide which elements are essential, how do you avoid just adding a ton of stuff into the songs?
My minimalist approach comes from the philosophy that less is more. I always start by choosing a central element—whether it’s the groove, a vocal, or a bassline—and build around it. I constantly ask myself if each sound truly adds value to the track or if it’s just taking up space.
I avoid adding too much by listening to the track repeatedly and removing elements to see if it still works without them. The goal is for every part to have a clear purpose, with everything working together to create a bigger impact rather than relying on excessive layers. Simplicity allows the details to stand out and gives the music room to breathe on the dancefloor.
Thinking back to when you were first starting out, did you have any significant fears or uncertainties about pursuing music? And how do they compare to what you’ve achieved over the years?
When I first started out, there were so many uncertainties. My biggest concern was whether I could stand out in such a competitive market and if my sound would be accepted by the audience. There was also the fear of not being able to balance creativity with the demands of the industry, like deadlines and live performances.
Looking back now, I see that those fears were essential in keeping me motivated and focused on constant growth. Over the years, I’ve achieved things I never thought were possible, which has given me more confidence—but also brought new challenges, like continuing to innovate while staying authentic. Even so, my passion for music has always outweighed any doubts.
How important is experimentation to you? Do you recall a time when an unexpected discovery during production significantly shaped a song of yours?
Experimentation is absolutely essential for me. It’s what keeps the creative process exciting and unpredictable. One moment that really stood out was during the production of a track where I accidentally used a glitch effect on a vocal. The result was something distorted and dark, yet incredibly captivating. That “mistake” ended up becoming the central element of the track, shaping the whole vibe around it. Since then, I’ve started using the glitch effect more in my productions.
These unexpected discoveries are what make production special. They remind me that sometimes the best ideas come when you allow yourself to step out of the conventional and embrace the unpredictable.
How do you deal with creative blocks or moments when you feel uninspired?
When I face creative blocks, I try to disconnect a bit from the production process. This might mean listening to music outside my usual style, watching movies, or even stepping out to connect with other experiences, like nature or spending time with friends.
Sometimes, simply changing the studio environment or experimenting with something completely different, like playing acoustic instruments or exploring new plugins, helps bring fresh ideas.
The most important thing for me is not to force the process. Creativity is cyclical, and I’ve learned that these moments of pause can be just as valuable as periods of intense production.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians who are just starting out?
If I had to give advice, it’d be: have patience and don’t give up. Making music is a journey that takes time, practice, and a lot of persistence. Don’t be afraid to mess up or try new things—that’s where you learn and find your sound.
Learn the basics, like theory and production, but trust your instincts. Trying to copy what’s trending might work for a bit, but what’s really going to set you apart is being authentic and putting your personality into your music.
Also, connect with people in the scene. Networking and exchanging ideas with other musicians is just as important as leveling up your skills. And never stop learning because music is always evolving.
Final Words
Thank you so much to Ragie Ban for this kind interview. It’s always fun to speak with artists at this stage of their careers, it’s like lighting up a firework, watching it launch into the sky, and you’re amidst the silence waiting for it to go off. It’s just a matter of time before Ragie is on the cover of many of your music magazines. When that moment comes, remember he’s been in the cover of ours before. Wink wink.

Here’s to a semester packed with new ideas, piloted by the world’s leading Organic label.
It’s always a great day when we have news from All Day I Dream. Is it too much of a wordplay to say we’ve been dreaming about this one for a while? Hopefully it’s not too cheesy. But that’s the actual truth: every month we patiently await the day when the leading Organic House label of the market will delight us with new music. And this month, it’s an entire album-worthy selection.
Last Friday, Lee Burridge’s esteemed label released the Spring Sampler compilation, a freshly curated release comprised of twelve tracks, still sizzling hot. So take a seat, and allow me to introduce you to your weekly Organic feast. Pasture-raised, cage-free, all that jazz.
All Day I Dream’s Spring Sampler Compilation
We’re sent on a worldwide journey through the different sounds that make up the ADID roster, with both new faces and old friends gracing the package. The Spring Sampler compilation opens with a hypnotic and rhythmically engaging track, ‘Next To Me’, by Luca Saporito and Dalma Puskás. Subsequent tracks continue to explore the label’s sound, featuring a blend of electronic textures and international influences.
The compilation progresses with ethereal collaborations and original works that offer warmth and mystery. Transatlantic partnerships and synth-laden grooves further enrich the sampler’s sonic landscape. The collection concludes with more collaborative efforts and a captivating reinterpretation, showcasing the label’s range and the artists’ ability to create immersive electronic experiences.
I do have to say, this release strays a bit from the usual ADID sound. This one feels much clubbier, and the overall sound has that higher energy needed to grace the dancefloor. It’s not bad by any means, but do be aware that the influences of the compilation are many. Some of the ones I can point out are: Progressive House (with even the legendary Aussie pairing GMJ & Matter making an appearance), groovy Organic, melodic and laidback tunes, old school House and Tech House flavours, and so much more.
Writer’s Picks
South America won me over this time, with two out of my four favourites coming from the New World’s nations — namely, Marian (AR)’s ‘Obsidian‘, and ‘Magnetic‘ by Nathan Katz and Molac, which takes the crown for me. What a track. The two other tracks that really stood out to me were ‘Star Safari‘ by HAUMS and Wassu, and the closing record, Lost Desert’s take on Lauren Ritter’s timeless classic ‘Form Constant‘.
All Day I Dream — Spring Sampler Compilation Tracklist
Next To Me by Luca Saporito featuring Dalma Puskás Outta Nowhere by Tommy Raffa This Way by Az Denar W.O.W (Trip Mix) by Dimitri Nakov and Limara featuring Natacha Atlas The Chant by MATIRAMIC Obsidian by Marian (AR) Star Safari by HAUMS and Wassu Dust by Jim Rider and NIICX Voyage Austral by Pole Folder, GMJ and Matter Magnetic by Nathan Katz and Molac Blob and Wriggle by Andy Page Form Constant (Lost Desert Remix) by Lauren Ritter Final Words
Once again, All Day I Dream shows us why they’re the kings of the lower BPM Dance corner. Once again they show us the innovative power of their philosophy, and they’ve proven, like they always do, how their way is always forward. What I now see is not necessarily a superb release just because of the music featured, but because it will serve as a canvas for the world to express itself through Organic, Progressive, and a combination of the influences, this time present in ADID’s VA sampler.

Did I hear you ask for a daring fusion of styles made into a Dance album? We’ve got you covered.
We truly hope you enjoy this one as much as we do. Italian DJ and producer Riva Starr released his fifth studio album, Keep Me On The Dancefloor, on his label Snatch! Records on April 24th. The album marks a new direction for Starr, highlighting his growth as a producer and artist with a stronger focus on songwriting and collaborative efforts.
Riva Starr is renowned for his energetic DJ sets at major global festivals like Glastonbury and Fuji Rock. His influential label, Snatch!, has hosted stages at Creamfields and Tomorrowland. He’s worked with Horace Andy and Green Velvet, opened for Jamiroquai, and remixed tracks for Wiley and London Grammar. Perhaps you may know him best from his global hit ‘Eat Sleep Rave Repeat‘ with Fatboy Slim. Safe to say, Riva is no stranger to good music.
Keep Me On The Dancefloor
Across 13 masterfully crafted pieces, he teams up with a diverse range of musicians, including the electro-funk sounds of Chromeo, the laidback vibes of Flight Facilities, and the infectious vocals of Harry Stone, who features prominently throughout the record, to provide a comprehensive product that is both a nod to a distant past, and a trendsetter for future sounds.
Keep Me On The Dancefloor showcases a blend of musical styles that have influenced Starr’s career, seamlessly moving between Disco, Funk, Soul, and Filtered House, with even hints of classic Rock. The album aims to capture the positive moments and connections forged through music, exploring the feeling of unity experienced on the dancefloor.
Writer’s Picks
Whenever I do these Writer’s Picks sections, I like to really dive in completely blindly and see what track resonates with me the most upon first listen. I want to highlight that first impression. And this time it’s happened to me with a couple of records. Funnily enough, my favourites are not really tailored for the dancefloor, per se. That said, the one energetic track that won me over was ‘(I’ll Be Your) Paradise‘. What a lovely uplifting tune.
Now, for the two tracks that resonated with me like a glass cup breaking with the right pitch: ‘Only Love‘, featuring the voice of Harry Stone, and the closing track, which is my personal favourite of the entire album, ‘Wildfire‘, featuring Biishop. The former feels like a rainy afternoon drive through the motorway, after a long day of work. It feels like the right track to unwind to. But the latter? Oh, God. It’s a different world altogether. It reminds me of that one Above & Beyond track, ‘Only A Few Things’. They probably share many notes and progressions, but there’s something I cannot put into words that has me in such a peaceful state of mind when I listen to it. It makes me, I don’t know, it takes the weight off my shoulders for a wee second. And I appreciate that feeling. It feels like a reassuring hug. It’s one of those magical tracks you meet by chance.
Riva Starr — Keep Me On The Dancefloor Tracklist
House Of Mirrors featuring Harry Stone It Feels Much Better featuring Harry Stone Set The Mood Right featuring Harry Stone Chasing Thrills featuring Harry Stone Know You Love Me featuring Flight Facilities Keep Me On The Dancefloor featuring Harry Stone Vicino O’ Mare (Reprise) Internet Only Love featuring Harry Stone We Made The World featuring Biishop I Was Lost (And Found You) featuring Chromeo (I’ll Be Your) Paradise Wildfire featuring Biishop Final Words
I love to work on albums like this. I didn’t know what to expect, and I allowed myself to hear, to maybe escape my comfort zone for a little while. I’ve had this LP with me for a couple of months now, and every time I forgot about it, when I came back, it felt as refreshing as the last time. And for some reason I hadn’t got to the final track until just a few days ago. And it marked me. Somehow, I was saving the best for last, and those little surprises of life leave me wondering joyful things. So, huge thank you to the entire team, from the producers, to the singers, to the label, to the team that ultimately got this in my inbox. Thank you.
Allow me to close this review with a quote from the very album of this long play:

Coachella organizer Goldenvoice was fined $20,000 by the City of Indio for Travis Scott’s performance exceeding the city’s 1 AM curfew.
Goldenvoice, the operator of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, is facing a $20,000 fine issued by the City of Indio for Travis Scott’s performance on Weekend 1, which went past the city’s 1 AM curfew.
A city permit from 2013 outlining the conditions under which Goldenvoice can hold the festival mandates that all performances must conclude by 1 AM on Friday and Saturday, and midnight on Sunday. Each time a performance exceeds curfew, Goldenvoice will be fined $20,000, plus $1,000 each minute starting at the sixth minute after curfew.
This year, only one performance missed the curfew time. Travis Scott closed out both Saturdays of Coachella this year, but on Saturday, April 12, he started his set late and played until approximately 1:03 AM. The second weekend, he started late again, but managed to wrap up his set well before the cut-off.
It’s worth noting that a source familiar with the situation told TMZ that Green Day was running 15 minutes behind due to the “fireworks debacle” during their set, which led to a tree catching fire. This caused Travis Scott’s set to begin five minutes late.
According to a statement issued by the City of Indio, the $20,000 fine was the only one issued across all three music festival weekends—which also included the Stagecoach country music festival.
But this is far from the first time Goldenvoice has been fined after Coachella performances went past curfew. In 2009, after Paul McCartney went 54 minutes over, the promoter paid a $54,000 fine due to the $1,000-per-minute fine at the time.
In 2023, the company was hit with a whopping $117,000 fine during Weekend 1 when Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, and Calvin Harris went past curfew. Then, during Weekend 2, a $51,000 fine was incurred by Bad Bunny, alongside DJs Skrillex, Fred Again, and Four Tet. In 2024, Lana Del Rey played 13 minutes past curfew during Weekend 2, leading to a $28,000 fine.

YouTube keeps raking in the cash from its advertisers across the globe, with ad revenue approaching $9 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
YouTube turned 20 this year, and the company continues to boast significant growth for its investors. YouTube’s ad revenue reached $8.93 billion in the first quarter of 2025, up 10.3% year-over-year—just slightly behind analyst expectations of $8.97 billion.
That doesn’t even include the additional billions in revenue generated through YouTube’s subscription services, such as YouTube TV and YouTube Premium, which are not disclosed during Alphabet’s earnings reports.
Google and YouTube parent Alphabet easily topped Wall Street estimates for Q1, with the company reporting over 270 million paid subscriptions across its services. Those numbers are driven by YouTube and Google One, the company’s consumer cloud storage platform.
Together, YouTube Music and Premium exceeded 125 million subs during the quarter, further driven by the company expanding its more affordable Premium Lite model to users in the US. Premium Lite is priced at $7.99 per month compared to $13.99 per month for YouTube Premium and $10.99 per month for YouTube Music.
“We’re pleased with our strong Q1 results, which reflect healthy growth and momentum across the business,” said Sundar Pichai, Alphabet and Google CEO.
“Search saw continued strong growth, boosted by the engagement we’re seeing with features like AI Overviews, which now has 1.5 billion users per month. Driven by YouTube and Google One, we surpassed 270 million paid subscriptions. And Cloud grew rapidly with significant demand for our solutions.”
YouTube’s full-year 2024 report saw an estimated $54.2 billion in revenue, making it the second-largest media company behind Disney. In 2025, it’s rapidly becoming poised to take the top spot, according to analysts.
Whether the macroeconomic uncertainty will have an impact on YouTube’s ad revenue in Q2 remains to be seen. According to Chief Business Officer Philipp Schindler, “It’s too early to really comment on that,” but that new US tariffs will “obviously cause a slight headwind to our ads business” abroad.

If you’re looking to kick off this week in style, look no further.
Are you a fan of Anjunadeep? Are you a fan of UV? Soundgarden? Univack? Well, this set may speak to you then. Paul Arcane is perhaps the most promising act from Chile to set foot on Deep and Organic grounds right now. With a long career that already includes releases on the highest labels out there, he was the man Anjuna needed to kick off their Open Air celebrations in Santiago.
I’m not kidding when I say Anjuna’s socials were flooded with requests from us all for him to be part of the lineup. And they listened, and delivered. And so did Paul. The author of tracks such as ‘Elven Dance’, ‘Vaporis’, and ‘City of the Clouds’, was the man tasked to take over the booth first, as more and more people rushed to the venue for the day’s worth of partying. Understandibly, many of us arrived early to see him from the start.
And what a ride it was. It’s a 2-hour voyage filled with everything we love about this corner of the Dance world: melodies, atmospheres, flying, percussion, and groove. The only way I can describe his set is a dynamic ride. My best friend Rama and I talked about this very topic a while ago: the thrill of a DJ playing like a rollercoaster, with ups and downs in energy, yet still always aiming up. It’s not monotonous nor all over the place. It’s just ideal. And Mr Arcane mastered the art of those rides.
Kick off your week in the best way possible with tracks such as Marsh’s ‘Sleep’, the gift that keeps on giving that is ‘Deep In My Soul’, Argentinian Sebastian Sellares’ ‘Garden Of Eden’, and many more tracks I won’t spoil for you. You have to watch it. Click the icon above, or this very link right here, and fly away, to my personal best set of the entire Anjunadeep Open Air Santiago gig.
Also see below a playlist of Paul Arcane’s best. You’ll hear more about this guy in a couple years, trust my words. Been following his journey for eight years, can’t imagine where he’ll be after the next eight.

Canadian bass producers and DJs Torcha and Jiqui recently dropped their collaborative track, ‘Mucus’, on April 18th via the HypnoVizion imprint of bass music star Rezz. The name says it all—’Mucus’ is as gnarly as they come, packed with grimy bass and filthy dubstep vibes that are sure to get festival crowds hyped. With its deep low-end sounds and punchy percussion, Torcha and Jiqui really play around with some heavy, guttural sound design and warped basslines. ‘Mucus’ really reinforces HypnoVizion’s mission to push the limits of Canadian bass music, showcasing the awesome talents of both artists.
Torcha, the artist from Toronto who has a very innovative musical style
Torcha, who grew up in Toronto, made a name for himself for his epic soundscapes and minimal beats with some serious sub-driven 140 dubstep. Since kicking off his project in the summer of 2022, he has caught the attention of big names like Zeds Dead, PEEKABOO, and Skream. His sound blends 140 bpm, drill, grime, and Gqom-infused deep club tracks while keeping that UK dubstep vibe alive. He made his debut on HypnoVizion last year with the gnarly banger, ‘Darkness’, alongside NotLö and has hit the stage at festivals like Infrasound Equinox, Wakaan Music Festival, and Submersion Festival. This spring, he’s coming back with his Monolith EP.
Jiqui, a top talent in dubstep and trap who has released phenomenal tracks lately
On the other hand, Jiqui, originally from Vancouver but now based in Texas, is becoming one of the hottest up-and-coming acts in the bass scene. He’s got mad skills in both dubstep and trap and has made a name for himself with killer productions, teaming up with artists like Kayzo, Kompany, and Must Die!. Furthermore, Jiqui has also dropped tracks on some well-known labels like Disciple, Never Say Die, and Bassrush. Also, he has performed at major festivals like Rampage Open Air, Forbidden Kingdom, Lost Lands, and Bass Canyon, and has toured with Riot Ten, Marauda, and Kayzo, putting on live shows that blow people away. Jiqui is definitely on his way to becoming a major player in the bass music world.

British duo CamelPhat and Vomee collaborate on a brand-new EP, Needed You, featuring two tracks that continue to showcase their mastery of tech house. The first track, ‘Needed You,’ sets a high-energy tone with a rhythmic synth and a catchy female vocal singing the title lyric. The groovy bass and upbeat melody evoke day club vibes, complete with mimosas, loose clothing, and blacked-out shades. The second track, ‘Renewal,’ brings a contrast with its deeper, more melodic tones. The track starts slower but builds to a euphoric climax, creating a powerful emotional journey for listeners. Together, these two tracks show CamelPhat and Vomee’s ability to blend different energy levels, creating an EP that is dynamic and unforgettable.
CamelPhat

Their debut album, Dark Matter, released in 2020, earned widespread acclaim, featuring collaborations with names like Jake Bugg and Noel Gallagher. CamelPhat’s energetic productions and infectious melodies have earned them a loyal following and made them mainstays at major festivals like Glastonbury, Tomorrowland, and Ultra.
Vomee
Vomee, the musical project of Gianluca De Girolamo, brings a unique blend of influences, incorporating melodic, electro, and techno beats. With a discography that includes releases on prominent labels like Oddity, Siamese, and more, Vomee’s music has been praised for its genre-blending quality. It’s feels like just yesterday that Seven Lions and Wooli first teamed up in 2019 with ‘The Last of Us’, marking the start of a successful partnership that blends Seven Lions’ melodic bass with Wooli’s heavier dubstep style. Their 2020 hit ‘Island’, featuring Nevve, became a fan favorite and a defining track in the melodic bass scene. They followed up with ‘Another Me’ in 2021, which saw Wooli collaborate with Excision and Dylan Matthew, continuing their trend of combining emotional melodies with hard-hitting bass.
And now we are proud to support the track, ‘Sunshine‘ is a standout track that showcases the signature styles of Seven Lions and Wooli. It blends bright, uplifting melodies with heavy bass drops. The track opens with a euphoric, almost ethereal atmosphere, where VARGEN’s vocals bring a sense of hopefulness and longing. As the song builds, it transitions into a powerful drop, combining the melodic and emotional elements. The result is an anthem that balances both light and heavy, creating an emotionally charged atmosphere that’s perfect for festival crowds and listeners alike.
The song’s structure mirrors the evolving sound of both artists, incorporating the melodic bass elements Seven Lions is famous for while tapping into Wooli’s darker, more aggressive dubstep influence. ‘Sunshine’ isn’t just a bass-heavy track; it’s a dynamic journey, capturing a sense of catharsis and release that resonates with fans of both artists. With its uplifting lyrics and hard-hitting drops, ‘Sunshine’ has the potential to become a major anthem in the bass music scene, much like their past collaborations. This track marks yet another successful partnership for Seven Lions and Wooli! We can’t wait for more from the powerhouses on Ophelia Records.

Armin Van Buuren has been a trance trailblazer for years though it’s his venture into progressive house that stands as one of his most successful tracks. In 2013 he wanted to express himself in a different way which led to an absolute progressive house classic, ‘This Is What It Feels Like.’
The Dutch DJs mastery of trance earnt him the top spot on DJ Mags Top 100 DJs list in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012. This devotion to trance meant that when Pete Tong debuted ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ on BBC Radio 1 there was a lot of negative feedback from fans due to the change of genre. While some Armin Van Buuren fans didn’t like this different style it quickly found its audience and blew up beyond what anyone could have imagined.
It fired into the charts around the world and earned wide radio play spreading Armin Van Buuren’s name beyond the dance music scene and into the mainstream. ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording in 2014 and has since gone on to receive over 380 million Spotify streams. As well as this the song took on a new life in 2023 with a trance remix from Armin Van Buuren to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
From the very opening moment of the track ‘This Is What It Feels Like’ is emotional and iconic with its unforgettable chords that have drawn us all in for years. It embodies the very essence of what a festival anthem is and will forever be legendary.

7-Eleven has finalized a Live Nation sponsorship deal, including When We Were Young naming rights. Photo Credit: 7-Eleven
Introducing 7-Eleven the music festival sponsor: The convenience chain has scored When We Were Young naming rights and more under a Live Nation partnership.
That newly announced partnership is already in full swing; When We Were Young’s poster has been updated to clarify that the festival is “Presented by 7-Eleven.” This marks the first time that the Las Vegas event “has welcomed a naming rights partner,” the companies emphasized.
Said naming rights will place 7-Eleven front and center on one of When We Were Young’s five stages. Additionally, the October happening is expected to feature “a quick-stop destination” powered by the chain, referring in part to a Slurpee-equipped “Hangout activation.”
(Side note: 7-Eleven ultimately belongs to Tokyo-headquartered Seven & I Holdings, which owns a major piece of the still-independent Tower Records Japan and a whole lot else. Perhaps not coincidentally, today’s tie-up has arrived as Live Nation is aggressively expanding in the Asian nation, most recently with the purchase of Hayashi International Promotions.)
Beyond When We Were Young, 7-Eleven is also set to have a presence at The Governors Ball in June.
Though Rakuten has dibs on a VIP offering, and Verizon is poised to present the festival’s “Cabanas” attendance option, 7-Eleven’s “Slurpee Street” will provide free beverage samples in Peace Tea and Fanta Zero Sugar Hibiscus Berry, the chain indicated.
Later yet in 2025, Rolling Loud Miami attendees will have access to “an amplified version” of Slurpee Street, complete with an “immersive activation” offering “a visually rich, music-infused experience,” 7-Eleven relayed.
“Live music is where culture and connection come alive, and that’s exactly where we want to be,” 7-Eleven chief marketing and sustainability officer Marissa Jarratt elaborated of the sponsorship. “By teaming up with Live Nation, we’re bringing the 7-Eleven brand to the heart of unforgettable fan moments.
“We’re eager to recreate the fun and excitement that comes with visiting a 7-Eleven store in an immersive music experience for the next generation of brand fans,” Jarratt finished.
In the bigger picture, a few main things stand out about the Live Nation/7-Eleven deal.
For organizers, against the backdrop of attendance woes in the wider festival space, there’s evidently a little-discussed option of bringing fresh sponsors into the fold – at least for certain happenings.
Adjacent to the point, potential sponsors are presumably focused on audience demographics as opposed to sell-through status. And at the intersection of those ideas, logic suggests that even comparatively small sponsorships like ticket pre-sales carry hefty price tags.
For companies without a clear-cut sponsorship upside, then, it might make more sense to explore cost-effective alternatives to multimillion-dollar branding agreements.

Berlin’s recently shuttered Watergate nightclub will live on in spirit and dance this summer with a series of open-air parties from the club’s team.
The nightlife institution, which permanently closed at the end of last year due to rising costs and rent hikes after 22 years in business, announced its return last week with “Don’t Stop The Dance,” a four-party run at Berlin’s Sage Beach, beginning this May.
Berlin’s own deep house staple Chris Luno will kick off the series of “Watergate Open Airs” on May 24, followed by more chilled house grooves in a triple-headline night from melodic house icons Bedouin, Cologne-Berlin duo andhim, and Nigerian-German selector JAMIIE on June 14. Lineups for further parties on July 5 and August 16 will be announced in the coming months.
In its Instagram announcement, the Watergate team wrote: “After the last track faded and the lights went out, we didn’t know when or how we would come together again. Now we do.”
“We’ve brought the same team, the same energy and the same belief in moments that stay with you,” the post continues. “Familiar faces, new light. Find us.”
Watergate was founded in 2002 by Ulrich Wombacher, Steffen Hack, and Niklas Eichstädt in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, where it became known as one of Berlin’s most influential nightclubs—a reputation so esteemed that an anonymous nightlife advocacy group memorialized its physical space with a gravestone in January. Along with its party brand, Watergate’s namesake record label remains operational.
Check out Watergate’s post below. Tickets for each of the brand’s open-air parties at Sage Beach are available here via Resident Advisor.

Some artists spend years trying to break through. Jules isn’t here to wait her turn. She’s doing it with one explosive debut and having more fun than everyone else in the process.
“Cherry” is pure dance-pop pleasure: fizzy synths, sassy lyrics, and that kind of infectious energy that makes even basic club nights feel special. The track’s already catching fire at key and it’s not hard to hear why – this is the kind of unapologetic fun that dance floors have been craving.
The fact that “Cherry” is featured on an entire episode of America’s Top Choreographer (where she appears as a guest judge, naturally) only adds to the momentum.
The remix package reads like a who’s who of dance music: Mousse T, James Hurr, and more have already gotten their hands on it, ensuring the track will work in every conceivable club context.

Weeks after the roof collapse at the Dominican Republic nightclub that killed 231 people and injured hundreds more, the club’s owner and manager shared his remorse for the tragedy in a public apology, wherein he said he plans to “face everything” in the legal proceedings to follow.
Last week, in an exclusive interview on “El Dia,” a television show on Dominican CNN affiliate Telesistema Dominicano, Jet Set owner Antonio Espaillat said six air conditioning units on the venue’s roof had leaked through the building’s plaster ceiling panels for decades, which were routinely reinforced with plasterboard.
According to Espaillat, club staff patched the roof just hours before the collapse on April 8, when more than 500 people were inside attending a show by merengue artist Rubby Pérez. In the following days, 189 survivors were rescued from the rubble, per BBC News.
It remains unclear whether the leaking air conditioning units were the cause of the collapse, and Espaillat said he is cooperating with an ongoing investigation by authorities. He added that in the 30 years he has owned Jet Set, the club’s roof and A/C units had not been inspected.
The Dominican Republic does not currently have a government office dedicated to building inspections for private businesses, though President Luis Abander announced the week after the tragedy that new legislation is expected to change this, according to ABC 7.
In the wake of at least three lawsuits from victims’ families, a process expected to take several months, Espaillat told Telesistima, translated from Spanish, “I’m going to face everything. I’m not going anywhere.”
“If this could have been avoided, I would have done just that to avoid it because my sister was there. My mom was always there,” Espaillat said later, translated from Spanish. “To the families of the victims, I want to say I’m sorry. I’m very sorry. I am completely destroyed.”
