To celebrate the arrival of ADE 2024 – and the launch of their industry-disrupting Pre-Cleared Artist Music Library – Collabhouse are once again offering one lucky producer the chance to win €5,000 to spend on a music promotion campaign.
The Dutch music distribution and promotion platform – created by Spinnin’ Records co-founder Eelko van Kooten – offered up the same career-defining prize back in August. It had its proverbial hand bitten off as over 2,500 tracks were entered. With so much demand – and this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event right around the corner – van Kooten and his team decided to drop another chance to win.
“These targeted promotional campaigns can have a huge impact on the success of a track,” commented Collabhouse CMO, Andy Berendsen. “For example a recent campaign with BEAUZ exceeded expectations, delivering 73k video creations on TikTok, reaching almost 53 million people, and accumulating over 5.7 million streams on Spotify. We’re excited to give more artists the opportunity to achieve such success.”
Going live on October 16th to coincide with the opening of ADE, artists have until October 31st to upload tracks to be in with a chance to win.
ADE 2024 promises to be the biggest so far for the Amsterdam-based, label-in-your-pocket music solution. Designed with producers at its core, Collabhouse gives artists cutting edge promotion and distribution tools across over 65 different streaming sites and download stores – but that is very much just the tip of the iceberg. The latest jewel in the Collabhouse crown is their brand new Pre-Cleared Artist Music Library, full details of which will be made public next week.
Fittingly with the roll out imminent, van Kooten will also be giving an ADE Masterclass on ‘The New Era of Music Promotion – Viral Content, Fan Building, and Career Growth’. Joining him on Wednesday October 16th at ADE Lab’s Mappa Soundbar to discuss life beyond the traditional record label model will be Triller VP Ben Reid, ex-TikTok exec Dan Carter, label head and artist Gallya, and host Mandy Salam-Aubry, founder of Music Services.
Collabhouse will also use ADE to launch CollabhouseTV. In association with Reason Studios, SAE Institute, and BAX Music, CollabhouseTV will capture the world’s biggest electronic music conference as it happens, with interviews and sneak peeks at the latest gear and tech.
For more info on Collabhouse’s entire ADE program of events, visit https://www.collabhouse.com/ade-2024.

The waiting is over! The Swedish House Mafia maestro Sebastian Ingrosso has at last revealed his much-awaited solo effort. Legendary tastemaker Pete Tong just revealed the bombshell on his BBC Radio 1 show, introducing Ingrosso’s new tune, “Flood.”
“Flood” is a masterclass in atmospheric production. The tune commences with a dramatic and dreamy breakdown that grabs the listener right away. It carries them to a sonic environment both known and shockingly novel.
Notes of the Past, Whispers of the Future
“Flood” marks a fresh chapter in Ingrosso’s career, yet it does not entirely forsow his roots. The increasing arpeggio in the breakdown reminds one of the famous “We Come, We Rave, We Love.” But this time around Ingrosso has created a more natural and organic impression, therefore highlighting his artistic development.
The track gains depth and passion with the chorus’s vocal inclusion. It’s the ideal balance to the rich instrumentation to produce a strong synergy that will appeal to both old and new listeners.
Ingrosso swings a curveball just when you believe you have “Flood” under control. The second drop is an appealing, down-tempo glitchy beat that will get throngs moving. This surprising turn shows Ingrosso’s eagerness to challenge limits and play about with his sound.
What now?
All eyes are now on Sebastian Ingrosso as “Flood” ripples across the radio. Will this constitute a component of more general body of work? In not too distant future, might we anticipate more tracks challenging genres?
One thing is for sure: Sebastian Ingrosso’s new musical path starts off explosive.

The 30th Anniversary edition of Plastikman’s Musik, the ground-breaking second studio album by Richie Hawtin as Plastikman, has been announced for release on NovaMute on 6 December 2024.
The album, originally released via NovaMute / Plus 8, followed 1993’s Sheet One and propelled Hawtin into new levels of international success. On its initial release, in Nov 1994, Hawtin was central to a burgeoning underground scene in Detroit, and the album, which expands on his unique and innovative minimal techno world, was launched with Plastikman’s first ever live performance in Aug 1994 – at the derelict Packard Plant in Detroit, in a room encased in black plastic sheets.
Before the full album hit the shelves, ‘Plastique’ (later described by Q as “… the flipside to Hawtin’s early singles, all ticking percussion, feline acid tweaks and cushioned sub bass”), set the stage for a more dance floor friendly album, albeit one with an unsettling and sinister side.
Musik, which featured tracks such as ‘Freek’, ‘Kriket’ (which Raf Simons used earlier this year in the Prada Men Spring/Summer 2025 show), ‘Fuk’ and ‘Marbles’, was soon heard by a much wider audience.  Plastikman live appearances at Glastonbury, Tribal Gathering and a headline slot at Megadog followed soon after, prompting NME to declare Plastikman to be “Fiercer than Orbital, funkier than the Prodigy and more insatiably danceable than anything else on the bill”.
The album, described by The Guardian as “music as you’ve never heard it before” and by The Wire, who made it one of their Albums of the Year, as “… a masterpiece”, defined a moment in techno that still echoes today.
Now, 30 years later, to mark its anniversary, the album has been remastered from the original tapes, reminding us why Plastikman is a name that still resonates and that the album’s intensity – on and off the dance floor – has lost none of its potency in the intervening years.
Manufactured with environmentally conscious packaging, pressed on bio-vinyl.

Andromedik has had a crazy year so far. He has hosted his own stage at Tomorrowland, embarked on his first US tour, and organised the second edition of his rave concept ‘Andromedik Invites’, for which he’s bringing Kanine, Grafix, Mozey, Emily Makis and others to Belgium. In addition to touring, performing, and organising events, he is also busy working on new music.
While Andromedik blew up with tracks like ‘Forever’ and ‘Your Eyes’ back in 2018, he says his sound feels more mature now. Focusing more on the technical side of drum and bass, and working with vocalists more than ever, he’s peeling back the layers of who he wants to be in this scene.
We caught up with Andromedik and talked all about his 2024 so far, and what’s yet to come.
How are you doing? It’s been quite a year for you so far.
I’m doing very well, I’m still enjoying the summer. I attended every festival I wanted to be at, so I went from one highlight to another, which was very fun. The rest of the year is looking good too. I’ve had my US tour for example, it was my first time there. You can see that more and more artists are going there now. Chase & Status, all the Worship guys are there. Overall, I’m really happy with how it’s going. I’m also making music that I’m very proud of and is feeling more mature.
In what way does your music feel more mature for you?
Around 2018, 2019, I did a lot of melodic drum and bass with a slightly happier sound than now. Not that I’m making dark stuff now, but I notice that the songs start to sound different. I find it very exciting to see other artists evolve their sound from album to album. If everything sounds the same, it gets boring pretty quickly. I’m thinking about the technical stuff, making a better mix, creating cooler sounds… Drum and bass is a genre that has a lot of possible directions, so I try to work with that. I’ve also been working with songwriters more often, and that’s something I’ve noticed more and more; working with other people, you can learn so much from them. It brings such a new, cool insight into your music.
The reason that I like working with vocalists, is because I think they bring that human element everyone can connect with. I think that makes that song more special. It makes a drum and bass tune feel more like a full song. That’s feedback I often get from MCs, as well, that they really don’t have a place to MC, because it’s just constant vocals throughout my entire sets. That doesn’t mean I don’t like MCs, though! But every time they want to get in, a new vocal starts playing from the next song, and that’s no fun for them either. So that’s why I’m doing my own ‘MCing’ for now. You can also choose where you create your highlights. But don’t get me wrong, I love MCs.
You’re based in Belgium, and it’s a pretty small scene there. How is the scene amongst the DJs?
I think it’s really cool. We’ve got a group chat with some of the other DJs and we talk to each other every day. There’s Basstripper, Maze, Primate, Captain Bass, and a few other people. It really feels like this big group of friends. We hang out in summer to go swimming for example, go on trips together… It’s very nice because it also feels like a group of colleagues in a way. Sometimes DJing can be a very individual job, so it’s nice to be able to talk to people who are doing the same thing. I also get a lot of support from them. If you look at the Andromedik Invites stage at Tomorrowland, you’ll always find someone from that group chat that’s also part of the line-up. We try to bring each other everywhere. Last year we did a birthday bash for Primate and Used and I did a b2b there. We have a lot of fun together.
You’ve just come back from your US tour. How did that feel?
You’ll notice that there’s more and more happening in the US. Like I said, Chase & Status are doing crazy stuff there. Worship are doing massive tours there too. The last tour they did I was thinking, how big are all those venues here? Apart from that, Netsky is also been touring there for quite some time now. You just feel that the Americans are starting to get a feel for the faster tempo. That’s why it felt like it was the moment to go there. We also noticed that more interest came from the US. And then there was a request for Lost Lands, Excision’s festival. When they asked if I wanted to come and play, I said yes, this is the moment.
And how did it feel to go there?
Cool! America is a massive country. I had only been there once for a summer school, when I was still at university. It was in Georgetown, very close to Washington. It’s amazing that I can see more places in the country through my job and experience how that is. It really felt like a mini vacation.
Out of all the countries you visited as a DJ, which one has been the coolest so far?
100% New Zealand. It’s such a crazy place. It doesn’t feel like you’re on Earth. It’s like you’re on another planet. The nature there is totally different from what we have in Europe. It’s such a beautiful country, I’ve been there twice now. Every time I’m there I’m like, it’s so cool that I can come here to play music. I was able to take my brother with me the last time, which was also super fun.
This summer, you also had your own stage at Tomorrowland with Andromedik Invites. Can you tell us more about that?
I did my first edition of Andromedik Invites at Trix last year, and that went very well. Tomorrowland noticed that. They told me that they were thinking of putting more drum and bass on the line-up, and asked me to put together a line-up for the Atmosphere stage; they’d never put D&B there before. That was really amazing, because I could pick and see which artists I wanted to book. It was nice to be able to put such a line-up together, it was new to me. I could literally just ask my favourite artists to come, and I’m really happy with the line-up we put together. The tent was packed the whole day. Merow opened the tent. She’s a Dutch bass house artist, and when she started playing her first tune, the tent was already full. It was mad to see, and I really hope we can do it again next year.
You’re also throwing an Andromedik Invites rave in November in Antwerp Expo. Can you tell us more about who you invited and why you did that?
If you look at those headliners, I started from the thought, who fits in a rave concept? For this edition, we wanted to go bigger than Trix. We also want to make it feel more like a rave rather than just an Andromedik headline show. I think that’s great for the Belgian scene—the more parties there are, the better. It’s just to bring fresh wind into the scene. And when I think of a warehouse rave, I think of Kanine. I think he’s gonna fit the whole Antwerp Expo vibe really well, he has that dark sound. So from the start I was like, I want Kanine on the line-up. From there, I started puzzling again. I invited Grafix last year at Trix, and he played a fantastic set, so I decided to invite him again. I also wrote the track ‘Comedown’ with him, so it makes sense for him to be there. I invited Emily Makis because she’s mega-relevant now. She writes great songs, has an amazing voice… From what I’ve seen on social media, all her concerts look amazing. I think Mozey is good to have that bit of jump up for the Belgian jump up lovers.
They are artists I like. That’s the music I listen to. I think if you listen to my sets, you will hear a lot of music from the people on the line-up. That means I won’t be able to play that music myself that evening, but that’s my problem. It’s purely about what kind of music I feel and what I would like to hear when I’m standing there. I think that in the long run, the music you listen to will have an influence on your own music, and that’s why I feel like they really fit into the Andromedik Invites concept.
That’s interesting! Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Absolutely. There will be a new song coming before Andromedik Invites on November 2, and there’s still a lot more to come. I think if you follow my releases, you know that I release music quite often. I’m definitely not going to stop doing that. So, lots of stuff is coming.

Pretty Lights and a small team of determined creatives have orchestrated an online auction that resonates far beyond the confines of his dreamlike dancefloors.
As Western North Carolina grapples with the catastrophic aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the pioneering electronic artist has joined a feverish rally to offer a beacon of hope through a rare collection currently under the digital hammer. It's a luminous lot comprising over 150 coveted items, each crackling with a pulse of his creativity and his band's ineffable connection to fans.
"Our fans are really about lifting each other up and the sense of community that we've built is such a beautiful thing," Meghan Zank, Smith's partner, tells EDM.com backstage prior to Pretty Lights' set at Austin City Limits. "So they all want to help. When we see any major devastation, we think, 'What can we do?'"
Pretty Lights, whose real name is Derek Vincent Smith, echoed that sentiment. He and Zank worked with Erin Fritts, Jennifer Rodriguez and Emily Picart to execute the 72-hour online auction, "Creatives For WNC Relief," which features contributions from all around Pretty Lights' vast community. The band's videographer Corey Ramos, a Charlotte native, has also played a pivotal role.
"We're a few hours away, so it definitely hit home, seeing how many friends live out there. Their city was devastated and they can't go back, and some friends are relocating," Ramos laments. "It was just so unexpected and they're just not prepared for that kind of stuff. They're prepared for blizzards—not flash flooding."
"It was tough to see. So after a week of kind of just figuring out how we could help, we figured this might be the best way. A lot of people have love for that area through the music scene."
Among the treasures up for grabs are over 15 autographed official prints—rare relics no longer available to the public—alongside tickets to upcoming shows and high-quality photo prints captured by Pretty Lights' photographer, Brittany Teuber. Other highlights include lessons from renowned drummer Adam Deitch and Lettice guitarist Adam "Shmeeans" Smirnoff.

"Creatives For WNC Relief" even includes a guarantee for song or sample requests at Pretty Lights' performances, letting fans take part in curating the very sound that defines their lives. But as bidders vie for these gems, they're also contributing to a larger narrative of resilience and restoration.
To that end, the silent auction speaks volumes about the transformative power of art in times of crisis. Zank paints a picture of a deeply passionate grassroots effort to prove that electronic music can help rebuild, both spiritually and materially.
"The music that [Smith] makes really comes from the deepest part of his soul," she says. "It speaks to the human experience and I think it's super relatable. And he's just a really true artist. So I think when something's real, it just attracts power. Taking care of each other—it's not about just him, it's about our team and the community around us."
"Connection is a big theme around here," Ramos adds. "I feel like any way that PL gets a chance to connect or fuse the connection themselves, they'll take advantage of it."
"Creatives For WNC Relief" ends October 15th at 7pm EST (5pm MST, 4pm PST). You can place bids here.

On October 12, 2001, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, also known as Daft Punk looked into the future and released ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’—a track that not only became a hit but also a prophecy for the music world that followed. As we celebrate the 23rd anniversary of this anthem, its robotic rhythm and hypnotic lyrics remain as influential as ever.
In 2001, when electronic music was beginning to gain popularity beyond the underground rave scene, artists like The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, and Basement Jaxx were intoducing listeners to the genre. It was however Daft Punk’s ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’ with its fusion of house, funk, and robotic vocals and challenging conventional song structures, that truly broke new ground by pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
The core of ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’ is built around a sped-up sample of Edwin Birdsong’s 1979 track ‘Cola Bottle Baby’ combined with Daft Punk’s signature use of the vocoder. This, along with the song’s mechanical, futuristic feel, made it stand out against the backdrop of traditional pop and rock at the time.
Upon its release, ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’ didn’t just capture the attention of clubgoers—it also became a commercial success, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and No. 3 on the UK Dance Chart. Over the years, it has left an enduring mark on music, with one of the most notable tributes coming from Kanye West who transformed its robotic lyrics and brought its influence into the realm of hip-hop with ‘Stronger’.
Big names like Diplo and Deadmau5 have also reinterpreted the track, each adding their own unique twist. Its status as a pop culture phenomenon was further solidified by viral YouTube performances like ‘Daft Hands’ and ‘Daft Bodies’, where performers timed their hand or body movements to the song’s lyrics.
Since the release of ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’ and the album Discovery, Daft Punk went on to release the massively successful Random Access Memories in 2013, which won multiple Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. Their single ‘Get Lucky’ , featuring Pharrell Williams, became an international hit and showcased the duo’s ability to blend genres and generations.
Although Daft Punk announced their disbandment in 2021, marking the end of an era after nearly three decades of shaping electronic music, their influence continues to resonate throughout the industry. Their groundbreaking approach to electronic production, the fusion of human and robotic sounds, and their commitment to innovation have inspired artists such as Madonna, Skrillex, Alison Wonderland, and many others across various genres.
As we look back at 23 years of ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’, we recognize that Daft Punk didn’t just create a song—they sparked a movement. This track, with its mechanical pulse and relentless drive, symbolizes the pursuit of constant progress. But in a world that demands we push harder, we also have to acknowledge that innovation often comes not from force, but from reflection, adaptation, and finding new paths forward.
While celebrating the amazing energy and mantra of ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’ , let’s also remember that true growth doesn’t just come from pushing harder. It comes from evolving with purpose, finding balance, and adapting to the ever-changing world around us.

Published under Rose Avenue and Reprise Records, this 15-track odyssey offers evidence of the band’s development as artists and people. The album provides an unmatched experience that is both very personal and broadly resonant.
Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George, and James Hunt, better known as RÜFÜS DU SOL, have evolved since their 2010 debut. Though they have stretched the envelope of their sound with every album, “Inhale/Exhale” is their most ambitious and sophisticated effort to produce yet. Factors evident in the music’s depth and complexity, the album emerged from a period of notable personal changes for the band members and a reinterpreted creative workflow.

Inhale/Exhale in RÜFÜS DU SOL own words
Let’s carefully investigate every song, untangling the tapestry of sound and feeling RÜFÜS DU SOL has spun.
Inhale/Exhale in our words
The first song on the album, Inhale, functions as a metaphor for the trip ahead as well as an introduction. Starting with the faint sounds of a little brook, it progressively gets louder like a rushing waterfall. This natural development reflects the change of the band and prepares the audience for the vast sonic environment to arise.
From the opening, “Lately” shows up with a mesmerizing beat that doesn’t quite relieve the tension accumulated in “Inhale.” This restraint is excellent; it keeps listeners interested and yet produces an unexpectedly soothing effect. The clean, sophisticated production here highlights RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ability to evoke mood without overwhelming the senses.
With “Breathe,” the album veers deeper and into more enigmatic seas. Here the baseline is rich and seductive, matched by dreamy vocals floating above the mix. The techno-inspired components strewn throughout show the band’s readiness to expand their sound into uncharted territory while preserving its unique melodic quality.
“Music is Better” explodes with an irresistible vitality that is hard to control. One of the album’s top hits, it makes sense why the band landed their first #1 at Dance Radio. Here, the appealing main subject blossoms completely and captures a celebration and gladness.
RÜFÜS DU SOL exhibits their experimental aspect with Levitating, a downtempo track including unusual drum rhythms. The percussive parts take the front stage and produce an interesting and danceable rhythmic playground. This is the ideal illustration of how the band strikes a mix between accessibility and creativity.
“Break My Love” is unique in its dreamy, personal quality. The songs lure you in close only to burst into a drop calling for movement.
Things calm down as we approach the middle part of the album, allowing for introspection. With In The Moment a peaceful environment is created by soft arpeggios entwining with a simple, mesmerizing baseline. This song seems as an appeal to be present, to really occupy the area the music produced.
“New York“: this down-tempo work is a cinematic trip. You are carried to a loft above Central Park while you listen, seeing from a bubble of peace the anarchy of the city. The poignant ambiance created by the sluggish beats against the evocative voices precisely captures the mixed beauty of urban life.
Starting with soft beats, “The Life” progressively picks in intensity to reflect the themes of love and resiliency found in the lyrics. In the story of the album, this song seems as a turning point—a moment of strength and validation. Here Lindqvist’s vocals shine, delivering words like “No matter where the road takes me / There’s nothing in this world / That could break me” with a clearly felt passion.
RÜFÜS DU SOL treads more clearly into more openly electronic space with Pressure. Organic rhythms and experimental beats produce a dynamic, throbbing soundtrack that highlights the band’s adaptability.
With Fire / Desire the percussion investigation carries on, with hypnotic synth lines grounded in down-tempo beats. The music reflects the dichotomy in the title, therefore generating an absolutely fascinating tension between restriction and release.
The synths and piano lines become more open and ethereal as the album draws to an end with Edge of the Earth. Both sonically and emotionally, one feels stretching outside and pushing boundaries.
Standing at the Gates tracks the energy down while accentuating the memories. It seems like a moment of introspection on the road we have traveled over the album, a stop before the last ones. The exquisite creation here makes room for meditation, a required respite before the last push.
The penultimate song, “Belong,” features dreamy harmonies and wonderful synth work. Reiterating the connection to the music as well as to each other, it captures the main ideas of love and belongingness of the album.
“Exhale“: The album finishes with a song fitting its title from the beginning. Romantic tones and soft harmonies help one to feel released, to let go. The trip ends beautifully and cathartically, leaving listeners feeling complete and rejuvenated.

How the album was born and its meaning
RÜFÜS DU SOL has a great capacity in “Inhale/Exhale,” to strike a mix between refinement and accessibility. Every track provides a deep, layered soundscape that honors repeated listening; the production quality is flawless. The band’s development is clear in their enlarged musical palette, which keeps their unique voice while absorbing influence from all around the electronic music scene.
This record distinguishes itself in emotional resonance. Though “Inhale/Exhale” feels like their most personal and mature work to date, RÜFÜS DU SOL has always been exceptional in producing songs that speak to the heart. Weaved throughout are the ideas of love, development, and self-discovery, therefore producing a story that is both quite personal and generally relevant.
From “Inhale” to “Exhale,” the album’s arrangement captures a whole trip, a musical representation of the breathing cycle. This idea gives the listening experience more complexity and motivates interaction with the album as a whole instead of as a set of separate songs.
The backstory of RÜFÜS DU SOL album, Inhale/Exhale
One should consider the background of the “Inhale/Exhale” creation. Written amid a worldwide epidemic that changed the music business and during a moment of major personal change for the band members, the album feels like both a reaction to and a haven from the difficulties of previous years. The album’s coherent yet varied sound clearly shows the fresh creative flow indicated in the press release.
Tracks like “The Life” and “Belong,” which address themes of resilience, connection, and finding one’s place in a world undergoing change, have even more poignancy from this background.
RÜFÜS DU SOL New Album Inhale Exhale picture What we have learned from Inhale/Exhale?
“Inhale/Exhale” provides a moment of oneness and clarity in a world that too frequently seems fractured and chaotic. It reminds us of the beauty of common events, the need for connection, and the healing ability of music. Listeners who release the last notes of this album experience rejuvenation and enthusiasm for what RÜFÜS DU SOL will produce going forward.
The album is a voyage, a meditation, a celebration rather than only a collection of songs. This is a piece that requires to be experienced complete, each track building on the next to produce a harmonic and emotionally relevant totality.
We consider “Inhale/Exhale” a lighthouse signaling the way ahead and reminding us of the emotional foundation of the genre as the terrain of electronic music changes. This album resonates with the human experience in all its complicated beauty, pulsates with emotional energy, and breaths life. Basically, it’s RÜFÜS DU SOL at its best, asking everyone to inhale deeply and let the music help them to lose themselves.

This year has already seen the 10th anniversary of a bunch of absolutely historic electronic music, and now adding to that list is the sensational ‘Virus.’ Created by the monstrous pairing of Martin Garrix and MOTi, ‘Virus’ would take the festival and club scene by storm with its amazing melody and insanely powerful drop.
Prior to working together on this track, Garrix and MOTi had already known each other for several years having both come from Amsterdam and having done various shows together. They would often send tracks to each other for advice and did work on a couple projects together, however it was ‘Virus’ that would be the project that would see completion. Even before its release there was a lot of excitement and anticipation surrounding the song with Garrix debuting it at Mysteryland and some other huge DJs including it in their sets such as Avicii, Nicky Romero, Hardwell and David Guetta.
Though ‘Virus’ wouldn’t see much chart success, it would fast become a fan favourite and has cemented itself as one of Martin Garrix and MOTi’s best songs. It would also help with Martin Garrix’s meteoric climb from 40th to 4th on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs chart as he quickly established himself as one of the biggest artists in the world. Along with all this ‘Virus’ provided us all with one of the most iconic moments in music history at Ultra Music Festival 2022 when Garrix shouted “F**K CORONA” before the drop. Martin Garrix and MOTi coming together to make this track was a gift to the music world. Would you like to see them collaborate again?

Esteemed DJ and electronic music producer Jackmaster has died at the age of 38, his family announced today.
The influential Scottish artist, whose real name was Jack Revill, tragically succumbed to complications from an "accidental head injury" sustained on the island of Ibiza.
"It is with profound sorrow that we confirm the untimely passing of Jack Revill, known to many as Jackmaster," reads a statement released on Revill's Instagram today. "Jack tragically died in Ibiza on the morning of 12th October, following complications arising from an accidental head injury."
Rising to prominence in Glasgow, Jackmaster held residencies on BBC Radio 1 and co-founded the prominent Numbers imprint. The record label became a platform for pioneering electronic artists like Jamie xx, Hudson Mohawke and the late SOPHIE, among many others.
"His family—Kate, Sean, and Johnny—are utterly heartbroken," the statement continues. "While deeply touched by the overwhelming support from friends, colleagues, and fans, the family kindly requests privacy as they navigate the immense grief of this devastating loss."

Sebastian Ingrosso has just hinted at a new solo project that would highlight another aspect of his musical ability.
Turning now to Instagram, Ingrosso posted an enigmatic picture along with a fascinating caption:
Ingrosso is most known for his work with the Swedish House Mafia and as one-half of Axwell Λ Ingresso; hence, this news marks a shift from his known sound. The artist’s reference to “traveling inwards” suggests a more intimate and reflective attitude toward his work.
Ingrosso is a flexible producer, so we believe that this new project might explore melodic techno and progressive trance. Combining “cinematic” and “dreamy” components with “dark and mysterious” components could produce a sound with both emotional resonance and sonic complexity.
Fascinatingly, this news follows Anyma’s publication of the whole “The End of Genesys” residency lineup for The Sphere in Las Vegas. Ingrosso is scheduled to perform alongside half of Tale Of Us, which fuels more conjecture over his new musical orientation.
This is not Ingrosso’s first venture into side projects, though. Under the Buy Now name, he and Steve Angello have worked together investigating the more raw side of dance music. However, this new solo project is likely to challenge Ingrosso’s artistic limits even further.

House superstar, Malaa is a busy musician this year with new releases and a new alter ego. Out now is ‘Save Me‘, a new track including a driving baseline and a Grammy-winning vocal artist, Rory to back it up. The two artists put their addicting genre styles together to form another staple in clubs through the end of the year and well beyond.
Inside Malaa’s Next Club Hit
If you have ever experienced a deep love for someone or something that has taken you for granted or more simply, love a good House track, ‘Save Me’ is a good massage for your ears. In the beginning, Rory puts it down with a message of awareness that quickly introduces the hook, “save me“. This melodic intro builds without too much emphasis and drops us down into a bass drop and chorus signature to Malaa’s infectious style. After the break, get ready for a 2nd drop that adds some heat to the family of bass sounds that makes this track the masterpiece that it is.
Malaa Then & Now
Since 2015, Malaa has rocked the dance floor with constant releases, remixes, and collaborations. Some great examples would be his hit single ‘Notorious‘, his Illegal Mixtape series, his 2022 album Don Malaa, and his remix of Linkin Park‘s ‘In the End‘. Recently on the road to becoming the greatest House artist of all time, Malaa had a standout performance at the world-known festival Coachella as well as Ultra, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, HARD, Electric Zoo, and EDC. To top things off his recent tour, the Don Malaa Tour included sold-out shows at iconic venues like the Shrine Auditorium (Los Angeles) and Radius (Chicago). To say that Malaa’s career ever merges into the slow lane would be a traffic violation in itself.
A Sneak Peek Into Malaa’s Alter Ego
Memorable releases like ‘Save Me’ are only the start of Malaa taking over every club on earth in 2025. The Electronic music-enthused guru is turning heads with talks about a new alter ego by the name of SIMIYA, some are picking sides. This new stage presence and banger catalog are said to test the limits of Electronic music with genre-bending and rule-breaking methods, religiously. Stay tuned for more about SIMIYA and in the meantime, enjoy ‘Save Me’ – quick listen below or check out the Youtube video.

Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.
Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order. And remember, if you would like to contact us for a chance to feature your track on our page, head over to this link right here.
RÜFÜS DU SOL – Exhale
Genre: Ambient / Indie Dance
And just like clockwork, we find ourselves again drooling over GRAMMY-winning live electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL. Yes, they’re sexy, but more importantly, today we receive their fifth studio album Inhale / Exhale. The highly anticipated LP is out now via Rose Avenue/Reprise Records.
The entire album is a journey, and a story you are a part of one way or another. The closing track, ‘Exhale‘, therefore, feels like you have obtained peace through the experience. It reminds us of the ability to release lots of tension and bad juju through breathing out. And more importantly, being able to breathe again, soothingly.
Ben Hemsley – Tidal
Genre: Classic Trance
Ignore this came out last week (when we didn’t do a NMF). We’d been waiting on this one piece of blissful Trance for months, and now it’s ours for Eternity. Ben Hemsley. This man took the Trance scene by storm — and for all the good reasons. As of now, he has become one of the younger figures in who we trust to restore Trance to its former glory.
Inspired by the golden era of Trance, Ben Hemsley’s ‘Tidal’ featuring the vocals of Rose Gray is one of the year’s most anticipated releases, by a mile. The 10.5-minute-long track blends Classic Trance hallmarks with innovative soundscapes, all while Rose Gray’s ethereal voice adds an emotional layer to the narrative of a turbulent on-and-off relationship.

Adam Beyer – Don’t Go
Genre: Techno (Peak-Time)
Adam Beyer continues to push Techno’s boundaries with diverse elements while staying true to the beat, with his new EP Don’t Go, out today. Picking up where he left off with previous EPs and collabs, Drumcode’s label boss delivers a two tracker of epic proportions, marked by a creative use of vocal samples and vocal processing, creating an extra layer of rampant power.
The title track, ‘Don’t Go‘, kicks off with spacey elements of hoover and doppler FX, maintaining an assertive, demanding forward thrust throughout but soon becoming dominated by the vocal sample, a two-line Afro-vibe chorus of mixed voices processed as a riff, then a melody, and then building through the big breakdown into a huge drop.
Gorgon City & Max Styler – Touch
Genre: Tech House
The Electronic music scene is buzzing with excitement as Gorgon City teams up with Max Styler for their latest track, ‘Touch‘. Known for their unique blend of Deep House and vibrant Pop elements, this collaboration is no exception. Let’s dive into what makes ‘Touch’ a standout addition to both artists’ discographies.
‘Touch’ opens with an inviting melody that sets the stage for a euphoric experience. The track features lush synths and a pulsating bassline, instantly drawing listeners in. The production is polished, with intricate layers that reveal themselves with each listen. What truly stands out in ‘Touch’ is its vocal delivery. The ethereal vocals weave through the instrumental, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and expansive.

The build up has been insane. And, after long months of waiting, the lineup for Anyma’s End of Genesys Residency at the Sphere is available. The Melodic Techno DJ, half of Tale of Us, and lead of Afterlife will close down the year in the very first EDM residency for the Sphere venue in Las Vegas. Moreover, Live Nation is sponsoring the event. The desert awaits!
The Lineup
With some wild cards, and some expected faces, the lineup turned out to be one of the most diverse ones we’ve seen for an Afterlife event. Anyma truly outdid himself choosing all these talented and popular individuals. Now for the familiar faces: Camelphat, Layton Giordani, Adriatique, Argy, Dixon, and Massano will all write history alongside Anyma with their influential sounds. Moreover, you can’t have a proper show unless you surprise the audience with some sick B2Bs. We’re absolutely thrilled to witness Cassian b2b Kevin de Vries, and Chris Avantgarde b2b Rebūke.
The Wild Cards
Now for the juicy surprises. More mainstream producers made it into the roster. These include Tiësto and Sebastian Ingrosso. However, their skills in blending Progressive and Big Room sounds are the perfect spice to add to the Sphere. Two of the most impactful female Techno DJs join this crazy list: Charlotte de Witte, known for her dark, and hypnotizing sounds, and Amelie Lens, who actually remixed one of Anyma’s most popular tracks ‘Syren’, into a psy-tech delight. Both Belgian artists lead their own labels (KnTxT and Exhale) and will bring their harder, sinister, and tasty soundscapes. Lastly, we will encounter legendary producer Mike Dean, and German Afro House DJ and member of Keinemusik, Rampa.
Up and Coming
To close out the list, Anyma selected new additions to the Afterlife family that have also taken the scene by storm. Script, who underwent a major rebrand that began with his smasher hit ‘On the Low’, and the electronic duo Parisi. The latter have enchanted stages all over the world with their euphoric mix of House and Techno.
The Sphere
The multibillion dollar venue has hosted major residencies for U2 and The Eagles. Most recently, its current CFO resigned this week and their stock fell a bit. Nevertheless, this AI-ran entertainment venue has led the technological industry to new heights. And now, hosting their very first EDM residency with Anyma. Alongside his visual director, Matteo Milleri aka Anyma have established a whole other realm of audiovisual experiences.
Let’s start the new year with a dream. Tickets are still available for all dates of the show.
