For fans of boundary-pushing House music, Avi Sic’s latest release ‘Get Up & Listen’ is one for the books. Known for her versatile production style and energetic live performances, she has crafted a track that merges listener-focused subtleties with club-driven power. Released via Tiger Records, ‘Get Up & Listen’ is already gaining traction on the Beatport Bass House chart, and displays her ability to evolve her sound while staying true to her artistic vision.
We caught up with Avi Sic to discuss the creative process behind the track, her approach to production, and how it fits into her larger discography. Here’s what she had to say.
Hi Avi, thanks for joining us and congrats on the release of “Get Up & Listen”.
Thank you! It’s a unique one for sure, I’m excited that it’s out.
Can you tell us, what was the initial inspiration for the track, and how did it evolve during the production process?
I tried to create outside the box with this one. The idea wasn’t to make a smash club record but something more listener-focused. The evolution took some time, I wasn’t even sure it was actually an idea worthy of further development at first. I overthink things a lot.
Can you take us through your workflow for this track? Did you begin with a melody, the beat, or something else?
I was messing around in the studio and wrote the bassline and drum pattern initially. The more I listened to it, I realized I had something cool going on within the simplicity. The beat was catchy and bouncy, so I put more time into it. I really wanted the kick and bass to be the focus of the track and not overwhelm that with too many ideas or sounds.
The bassline and synth work in “Get Up & Listen” are really punchy; what techniques did you use to get those sounds, and what tools were key in shaping them?
As the focus of the track, this is definitely where I put the most time in. Choosing the right bassline synth was key. I went through many variations of the sound. Dialing in the sidechain perfectly was the key to the punch here. There is some subtle filtering and stereo effects of the sound throughout the track to create movement. For the kick, it has three layers: a low, mid, and high. This is how I got the most out of a single sound.
When producing this track, did you have a particular crowd or festival in mind? How did that influence your choices?
I always ask myself questions like “where does this fit into a set of mine?” and “who is the target audience of this track?” My answers on this one were a bit different than my other releases, but it was for this exact reason that I wanted to continue with it. It’s good to have variety in any arsenal. This one was very Chris Lake-inspired. Strange sounds, driving basslines. Something similar to the Black Book style but also different in many ways.
You’ve played some incredible live shows so far this year; did you road-test “Get Up & Listen” before its release? If so, how did the crowd react and did you make any changes based on that feedback?
Of course! Live testing my ideas is part of my process for sure. The surprise element of this track begins in the final build and into the last drop. At first, I had this part as the second drop. But after playing it live a few times, I tried switching the arrangement. This worked out much better, as the crowd was almost waiting for something new to happen rather than just giving it to them straight away. The reaction was more fulfilling to everyone—so I kept that change in the final version.
Can you share a bit about the process of selecting and processing the vocals? Were they a key element from the start?
The vocals were the last element I added. I didn’t want them to be the focus or be too overwhelming in general. Almost more of a background idea just to keep the momentum going. I found this speech and thought it had lots of potential. I chopped it up and only kept a few key ideas. It’s very sermon-like, asking existential questions, and becoming commanding at its peak. It really fit the vibe of the track and brought all the elements together.
How do you balance your instinct for innovation with keeping your sound accessible to the fans who follow your releases? Was this something you had to consider while creating this track?
(You may want to include her response to this if provided)
You’ve said in previous interviews that you produce a wide range of styles. How does “Get Up & Listen” fit into the larger arc of your discography and sound evolution?
It’s dark and energetic, which is something it does have in common with other releases of mine. But this one is more of a journey, so that sets it apart. It has fewer in-your-face type elements but, in its nuances, has a lot of complexity. I like to push a genre less approach, almost a combination of House music styles. I call it ‘Hybrid House,’ which is achieved by using elements of all styles. I really hate to feel boxed into anything. That’s where creativity can stall. It certainly shows my evolution in terms of being able to produce more simplified arrangements. Less is often more.
Tiger Records has been a great home for “Get Up & Listen”. How has working with the label influenced your release strategy or creative direction?
Yes, it’s a great label and I’m happy I found a home for this one with them. I really like their releases in general. Across the board, they are strong and have similar qualities. That’s something important to me when deciding on a label. We already hit #30 on the Beatport Bass House chart and had a feature in the new release as well. Hopefully, the momentum will keep going!
What are some of the key challenges you faced while producing this song? Were there any moments where you had to step back and rethink the track?
Many times. But this is a normal process for me. I put a lot of thought and time into every one of my releases. It is art, after all. Never completely satisfied but always proud. The tough part is trying to please everyone. This is not possible, so really the key is just to be happy with the final product yourself. And that’s when I know a song is ready. The arrangement was my main challenge with this one but in the end, I felt it was working well and for that reason, it was indeed finished. That is also my favorite part of this particular single. A simple yet effective arc to the track. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it!
Avi Sic continues to push the boundaries of her sound while staying grounded in the unique qualities that have garnered her a strong following. ‘Get Up & Listen’ exemplifies her ability to experiment with structure and sound while maintaining her signature energy. With a powerful combination of bass-driven grooves and unexpected twists, it’s a track that adds another layer of versatility to her already impressive catalogue; be sure to check it out and experience the journey yourself below and here.

With their most recent single, “All I Wanted,” Hunter/Game, the Italian team comprising Martino Bertola and Emmanuele Nicosia, has once more shown their brilliance. This song provides a seductive preview of what seems to be a revolutionary release as the third and last teaser for their forthcoming album ‘VISION‘.
The six-minute track “All I Wanted” showcases Hunter/Game’s ability to combine analog instrumentation with state-of-the-art production methods. Hi-hats and sharp synths lead the way as the song begins, creating a complicated and danceable rhythmic framework right away. Layering and sound design become masterful as the music develops.
What makes this song stand out is the way the twisted textures and alien samples are seamlessly blended. These components combine to produce a sci-fi environment that is immersive and just a little bit unnerving, all in the best possible ways. Longing male vocals give a more techno-oriented production with an emotional depth that is frequently lacking.
Clearly, ‘All I Wanted’ is based on its set of mind-bending synth lines. From subdued, background parts to full-bodied lead instruments, the synths change across the song. We have been interested all through the six-minute performance by this lively arrangement.
Technically, the sound design on the exhibit is first-class. The rich, analog warmth of the synths points to the utilization of high-end hardware. But their modulation’s accuracy and control point to the pair’s mastery of contemporary production technologies.
Our take on All I Wanted
Listening to “All I Wanted,” we find Hunter/Game’s ability to produce intelligent yet visceral music to be rather remarkable. Although the complex composition of the track rewards close, analytical listening, its throbbing rhythms and expressive melodies also speak directly to the body and heart.
‘All I Wanted’ exudes a tangible buzz. With ‘VISION,’ the pair seems to be on the verge of something quite unique. Having closely watched their history, it excites us to see how their sound has changed and what fresh ground they will investigate on the complete album.
The release of ‘All I Wanted’ also comes just one week ahead of the launch of Hunter/Game’s new AV concept show ‘VISION’. It will debut at EartH in London’s East End on Friday, October 11, in partnership with Fabric.

House grooves and mischievous energy collide in "Party Girl," Fredy Lane's latest single.
Edgy, intoxicating and a little bit dangerous, this tech house temptress claws its way out of the speakers and into your hips. The track is best experienced in dark, smoky rooms, delivering chugging basslines that lure you in slowly and keep you moving, almost against your will.
Meanwhile, the LA-based producer's seductive vocals slither through the mix like a velvet-tongued serpent. Unapologetic and dripping with late-night allure, they slink through the arrangement like whispers at an afterparty you shouldn't be at but can't bring yourself to leave.
Out now via Honua Records, "Party Girl" arrives in the midst of a furious rise for Lane, who has recently released music on Thrive, Insomniac's IN/ROTATION and deadmau5's hau5trap, among others. She's also partnered with Insomniac Radio to launch a podcast, Alone Together, which she says functions as a platform for open conversations about mental health in the electronic music community.

NFL running back Bijan Robinson is trading touchdowns for turntables in his new off-field venture, a DJing series called "Spin Zone."
Known for juking defenders with lightning precision, Robinson says his offseason hobby is DJing. In each episode of his new online video series, he sharpens his DJ skills with the help of an established act in the electronic dance music world.
With just one touchdown through five games of the 2024 NFL season, the Atlanta Falcons star may not be producing much for his fantasy football owners, but he's delivering W's in the studio. "Spin Zone" launched last month by virtue of a session with chart-topping dance music duo Louis The Child, who taught him the fundamentals of beat-matching. He then headed to the Atlanta studio of house music star Austin Millz, with whom he discussed the importance of feeding off a crowd's energy on the dancefloor.
Whether or not Robinson goes from reading defenses to reading rooms full of ravers remains to be seen, but his goal, he says, is to start performing b2b sets alongside other DJs.
"My goal for the offseason around DJing is, I want to learn but then I want to start doing some sets—do some sets with other DJs," he told Louis The Child's Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett.
Check out Robinson's "Spin Zone" sessions with Louis The Child and Austin Millz below.

Robot Sunrise – the solo project of producer/DJ/multi-instrumentalist Danny Klein – is staking his claim as one of the most exciting voices in the melodic techno scene.
A long-time ringleader of LA’s house and techno underground, Robot Sunrise previously made waves as half of electronic duo Dreamfreak, where he released multiple tracks through legendary dance record label Astralwerks. He’s also co-written and performed with GRAMMY-winning artist / G.O.O.D. Music-affiliate Really Doe, as well as co-written for GRAMMY-nominated act Télépopmusik.
Now, Klein is fleshing out his Robot Sunrise alias into a multi-dimensional, narrative-driven project. With an artistic brand revolving around themes of emancipation, equality, and peace, Robot Sunrise wants to use his music to inspire positive action in the world. To solidify this mission statement, Robot Sunrise contributes portions of all his profits to Human Rights Foundation – an act that translates his music’s impact to real-life aid to oppressed people around the globe
Most recently, listeners got a taste of Robot Sunrise’s hypnotic, hopeful techno sensibilities with “London Public WiFi (Robbie Rivera Remix).” Serving SPIN Records’ first-ever release, “London Public WiFi (Robbie RIvera Remix)” marked the second collaboration of 2024 between Robot Sunrise and the UK chart-topping Rivera, and saw the legendary house maestro brilliantly rework the original single.
Today, Robot Sunrise unveils “Take Me,” a spacious, ethereal cut whose celestial atmosphere and themes perfectly compliment the track’s melodic techno palette. With a central melody born literally from a dream, “Take Me” is a lucid, free-flowing dance experience – a track that is as suited for the nightclub as it is for headphone listening.
“Take Me” kicks off with a sweeping riser before dropping into a four-on-the-floor beat, infusing bumping kick drums with futuristic synth arpeggios, granular hi-hats, and ghostly pads. The track then brings in its central, introspective piano melody before building into its vocal section: “Take me, where there is nothing/Take me, to the stars,” Robot Sunrise sings over the song’s dreamy, mystical instrumental – a grooving, astrological vibe made complete by Robot Sunrise’s mesmerizing vocal processing.
Robot Sunrise has also announced The Robot Sunrise Experience, a special, one-off performance. Taking place Saturday, November 9 at the Porter St Community Center in DTLA, The Robot Sunrise Experience will be an immersive, multi-medium showcase replete with spellbinding orchestral accompaniment, experiential elements, interpretive dance and a developed storyline that will build out the Robot Sunrise narrative through his headlining live hybrid melodic techno set. The night will also include DJ sets by very special guests Bright Lights, Little Dinosaur and Mikey Made.
The Robot Sunrise Experience follows a handful of special Robot Sunrise performances over the past month, including his Burning Man set, which saw the producer take Burners through a 90 minute journey of 125 BPM melodic techno.
In September, Robot Sunrise also performed at the debut Off The Grid Campout Austin. That performance was a tone-setter for his live set at the SoCal edition of Off The Grid Campout, which is entering its 8th-ever event this weekend. Off The Grid Campout is a yearly grassroots underground electronic music festival in the Mojave Desert run by event brand company True Entertainment, whose new offshoot management division True Management represents Robot Sunrise.

Brimming with carefree, uplifting energy, Anabel Englund has released a new single, "Get Busy."
The song, out now via Ultra Records, laces Englund's light and airy vocals through an undeniably catchy melody. Embracing a playful and sensual tone, it unapologetically explores the theme of passion with lyrics about "getting busy" on the ground—just about everywhere else.
The track also strikes a personal chord for Englund, who revealed that she spent the last six months in a self-reflective "cocoon" after ending several personal and professional relationships.
"It was terrifying to say goodbye to people I have had in my life for many years who I still love so much and yet also know it’s time for me to start a new chapter," she said. "When I think about my new beginning a few topics come to mind. Strength in my own company and in knowing who I am, a wonderful juicy sexual awakening, a love for connection and music and stories."

Don Jamal is a multinational character, and his music reflects that. His family is from Jordan, but he spent much of his life in Saudi Arabia. Still, he’s been surrounded by British culture his entire life, having attended a British international school for most of his primary education, and living in the UK where he participated in football camps during his summer breaks. He spent his youth watching every UKF video he could find, but it wasn’t until he moved to Santa Barbara, California, that he started producing music.
That was in 2019. Fast forward five years, and he’s played surprise b2b sets with Zeds Dead and Skrillex, performed at some of the most respected festivals across North America (including Infrasound and Lightning in a Bottle), collaborated with Justin Jay, and released tracks on Deep Dark and Dangerous, Deadbeats, and Bassrush.
His approach to production is firmly rooted in UK influence, but it extends far beyond any specific genre. From breakbeats to techno to dubstep, he likes it all. In this exclusive interview with UKF, Don Jamal talks about his love for UK music and culture, the aspects of tour life that fans don’t usually see, working with Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats record label, and more.
You’ve spent much of 2024 performing all across North America, supporting artists like Zeds Dead and Barclay Crenshaw. As an artist who’s just getting started in the touring world, what’s one thing that surprised you about tour life?
Everyone thinks life on the road is a dream. And I mean, in a lot of ways it is. But people don’t realise how much travelling and time it takes behind the scenes; the sleepless nights, the set preps, sound checks, all that stuff. At the end of the day I love it and it’s worth every minute, but I definitely didn’t realise how hard it is to get good sleep when you’re on the road.
You’ve also played some of the most beloved festivals in North America, including Lightning in a Bottle and Infrasound. What’s your favourite festival set you’ve played this year?
Lightning in a Bottle definitely. I’ve never had a set go by so fast. It’s almost like I don’t even remember playing, because I was having so much fun up there, everything was a blur. Everyone was dancing, and I had my best friends on stage celebrating with me. It was amazing, for real.
Do you remember the first time you heard that someone played one of your songs on a big stage?
I remember the exact moment – it was Ternion Sound, opening for Zeds Dead at Mission Ballroom on July 4, 2022. That track was the first track I made that I was truly proud of, so I sent it to Andrew from Ternion Sound. He texted me the night of the show and said he might play my track, so I was just standing in the crowd, dancing and hoping they’d drop the tune. When I heard the intro come in, I looked at my friend and we just started freaking out. It was such a sick moment. I was going crazy.
Would you say Ternion Sound is a big inspiration for the Don Jamal project?
Absolutely. They just play the music they love, regardless of what genre it is. They don’t get stuck in the 140 dubstep sound, which is a genre I love too, but there’s so much more I want to play. I wanna drop UKG, breaks, all sorts of stuff. They’re the same way, and it’s inspiring to watch someone like them do it right.
Justin Jay is another artist who seems to embrace a genreless approach to music production. You’ve released a handful of tracks with him at this point, including remix of Levity’s viral track “Flip It” and “Is this a dream?” from Justin’s newest album. How long have you and Justin been making music together?
That’s actually a funny story – I’ve known about Justin Jay for a while, because he was DJing in Santa Barbara back when I was living in California before the pandemic, but we never officially met before I moved to Colorado. One day I was hanging out at my friend’s place in Boulder and he walked in with his girlfriend, who’s close with a few of my good friends. I introduced myself and said “Dude, have you ever heard of Justin Jay? You look just like him.” And of course, he’s like… “Yeah, I am Justin Jay.”  We started laughing and chopping it up, and we realised we both love the same music. I was DJing that night, and I started dropping some UKG tracks. He came up to me so excited that someone else was playing UKG, and we’ve been homies ever since.
I love working with him because his approach to producing is so carefree. There’s no pressure. He doesn’t care what you make. He just wants to have fun and create. Whatever happens, happens – that’s why we make bangers together, because it’s so natural. I was scared to produce with him at first, because I didn’t have a studio and I was kind of embarrassed about my set-up. But he just brought his monitors, put them down on my kitchen table, put on some Apple earphones and started making a beat. He taught me you don’t need anything fancy to make good music.
You also played a back-to-back set with Justin on New Year’s Eve in Denver last year with Skrillex and Zeds Dead, right?
I was supposed to headline a small afterparty after Skrillex’s Red Rocks show, and I got a text from Justin asking if Skrillex could come. Of course I said yes, and I was like honestly, Skrillex can just take my set. If Skrillex is there he should be playing, not me. But when he showed up, we all just kind of started DJing together. Justin Jay joined, and Zeds Dead showed up. Super Future was there too, it was insane.
Speaking of Zeds Dead – earlier this year, you were featured on the ‘We Are Deadbeats Vol. 6’ compilation. What was it like working with the Deadbeats team alongside such an insane roster of artists on the compilation?
Most of that process was standard procedure in terms of getting the track to them and working out a release date. But the promo that we did for We Are Deadbeats Vol. 5 was on a whole other level. There was a whole radio-style announcement, and all the artists teased the project together on social media. I had so much fun; promoting it didn’t feel like a chore. It felt inspiring, honestly.
You’re making music that feels very inspired by UK artists, and I’m curious to know what your relationship is like with UK bass music. I know you grew up in Saudi Arabia, and from what I understand there’s not much of a bass music scene there… So how did you discover bass music originally?
Everything around me was British growing up. Even when I was living in Saudi Arabia, I went to a British international school every day and watched Premier League football all the time. I also went to the UK for soccer summer camps when I was younger. Of course, I was watching UKF YouTube videos all the time too. I used to search “big bass drops” on YouTube and UKF would always come up. I watched every video I could find.
So you’ve clearly been a fan of dubstep long before you started producing your own music in 2019. Do you remember the moment when you decided to pursue music as a full-time career?
I don’t necessarily know the moment, but I know why. Since I was five years old, I dreamed of being a professional soccer player. Although that never worked out, I knew I loved the feeling of playing in front of a big crowd. When I realised I could get that same feeling from DJing, that’s when it clicked. I’ve heard Shaquille O’Neal say he kind of feels that way as well, which is also why he started DJing. But for a while, I just didn’t think I was good enough to turn it into a career. But when I became more confident, that’s when I started to take it seriously.
You’ve lived in tons of different places across the world, but chasing your dream eventually brought you to Colorado. How does Denver’s music scene compare to other cities?
It’s so different — Denver is like Disneyland for dubstep. Take Santa Barbara for example. I was living there before I moved to Denver, and there wasn’t much of a bass music scene at all. The scene was very house-focused, but there were a couple people that were pushing bass music. I was a part of that with Ooga and a few other homies. That’s where I learned to produce actually. But when I came to Denver, life was like a whole different world. If you like dubstep, Denver is the best place to be for sure.
You recently released the ‘Duelist’ EP on Wubaholics, which is one of my favourite dubstep labels at the moment. Can you talk about the inspiration for the three tracks on this new EP?
I love Wubaholics because they’ll put out whatever’s fire. Sure, they’re known for the wonky stuff, but the inspiration for the ‘Duelist’ EP is centred around mixing old-school dubstep with a new-school style, and turning that sound into absolute club bangers. I wanted to create tracks that will have the crowd going wild every time a DJ drops them. This EP doesn’t really tell a story in the three tracks, but it definitely gets the crowd going.

Patrick Harboun and his son are no strangers to pushing LEGO's creative boundaries. After winning the grand prize of a worldwide competition in 2020 with their meticulously designed Daft Punk LEGO recreation, they now have their sights set on getting it officially released.
And they need the support of the robots' fans and LEGO enthusiasts alike to make it happen.
Patrick Harboun
The father-son duo's original entry was built during the height of the pandemic lockdown, a time when many turned to creative outlets for solace. Sharing their mutual love for Daft Punk's timeless music, they crafted a stunning replica of the duo's iconic pyramid stage from their "Alive 2007" tour.
Despite winning first place, the stunning set never saw commercial production. However, the Harbouns are going for greatness one more time after becoming re-inspired by Daft Punk's cameo in Pharrell's upcoming LEGO animation film Piece By Piece, Patrick tells EDM.com.
Patrick Harboun
Their new design is live on the LEGO Ideas platform, where projects can garner fan votes for a chance to become official sets. If successful by voter demand, it will celebrate Daft Punk's enduring legacy in both music and pop culture.
The father-son team is hoping that Daft Punk devotees and LEGO lovers will come together to cast their votes and turn this dream into a reality. You can show your support by voting for the project here.

In just a few years, Kasablanca have proven they have a lot to say—and they’re not done yet.
The duo's debut album, Higher Resolution, to be released in two parts, is an intimate and deeply layered expression of their journey, both personal and musical. After a few years of explosive success, the duo is still maintaining their place as one of electronic music’s most compelling acts of the moment.
The album is an exploration of resilience, personal battles, rebirth and the drive to keep moving forward. Its titular track is a rhythmic tone-setter with vocoder-laced lyrics cutting through the atmosphere, as if echoing from a distant future.
Much of the album's first chapter similarly delivers a sense of euphoria that feels almost cinematic in scale, like "Remission," their triumphant collaboration with Lane 8. Released just days before Micky of Kasablanca was declared cancer-free, the song feels prophetic, as if it were always meant to accompany the moment when hope turned into reality.
"Terminal Feeling" delves into the more introspective side of their story. Paired with ethereal, almost ghostly vocals, its haunting techno rhythms give the track an air of tension—an audible reflection of the fear and uncertainty that comes with battling illness. Yet, even in its darker moments, there’s a glimmer of defiance as the duo turns personal adversity into cathartic release. The result is a hypnotic dancefloor anthem brimming with raw, unfiltered energy.
Elsewhere, tracks like "Dawn" see Kasablanca offering new stylistic production choices with frenetic percussion while crooning vocals soar through the mix, steeped in reverb. The blend of breakbeat rhythms and futuristic soundscapes captures a feeling of nostalgia and forward motion all at once, marking another standout moment on the album.
A debut album release is always a milestone in an artist's career, but Higher Resolution (Side A) is a decisive reflection of their growth and evolution as artists and as people thus far. You can listen to the album below and catch Kasablanca on tour now.

Who knew DJ Snake had a dark side?
Last month, Excision gathered some of the biggest names in dubstep and bass music for the dazzling 2024 edition of Lost Lands. While its lineups have evolved each year, last month's festival featured the most musically diverse lineup in its history, offering fans many more options outside the bass umbrella.
Before the French superstar took the stage, he teased a new alias set to perform amongst the dinosaurs, The OUTLAW. The posts were cryptic, but he said that Excision had told him to go as hard as he wanted with no rules. The result was a stunning performance filled with ruthless dubstep, dark techno and even some surprising tearout that left attendees buzzing all weekend.
For those who couldn't witness The OUTLAW's debut in person, Snake has shared the full hourlong performance on his SoundCloud. Fans can hear every bit of the set from the intro to the finale as Snake proved why an EDM headliner can fit right in at the world's biggest bass festival.
Listen to The OUTLAW's full Lost Lands 2024 performance below. The set is also available as a free download here.

Alexandra Richards, daughter of rock legend Keith Richards and supermodel Patti Hansen, has made her long-awaited debut with the single “Feel You,” a captivating slice of deep melodic house that effortlessly merges Afro-house vibes with contemporary dance sensibilities.
Growing up in an artistic household undoubtedly shaped Alexandra’s creative vision. With a father who helped define rock ‘n’ roll and a mother who graced the covers of fashion magazines, it’s no surprise that she found herself drawn to the worlds of music and fashion from an early age. After learning the ropes of DJing from friends around New York City, she quickly established herself within the city’s club scene, curating sounds for high-profile events across the globe. This experience shines through in “Feel You,” as she skillfully crafts a sound inspired by global clubs that feels both fresh and familiar.
From the very first notes, “Feel You” envelops listeners in a warm, swoony atmosphere. The production is polished yet organic, letting the track to breathe while holding strong to a persistent groove. Collaborating with the celebrated dance music duo JAIKO, known for their distinctive blend of male and female vocals, Alexandra creates a dynamic interplay between the two and her production. The voices intertwine beautifully, exploring the deep feelings that come with close connections—where personal space blurs into intimacy, and the struggle to stay grounded becomes too much to bear.

Is this the spiritual successor to ‘Shiver’?
John Summit is not holding back. One of the most influential acts of EDM over the last 20 months, turned to social media to tease a special song he’s working on. He turned to Twitter to comment, “currently writing what i think will be next years anthem“, alongside a short video which teases said song. Watch below.
The song, currently under the placeholder name ‘Ritual‘ as can be seen from the video, features an engulfing atmosphere with a somewhat Reese-ey bassline, and a warm female vocal, which seems to go just right down Summit’s alley. If we’ve been able to notice a pattern in his productions lately is just how much his recent craft is meant for a vocal topline as opposed to, say, his earlier Repopulate Mars stuff. And this one surely delivers.
The track seems to be in that style of very melodic and singalong-worthy Tech House he’s been pioneering for a while. After the rousing success of tracks like ‘Where You Are’ and ‘Shiver’, it’s only fair for the Forbes 30 Under 30 to write yet another chapter of his story with a formula that has assured fruition.
We’re yet to see where this new demo goes, and when — potentially, and when — he’ll premiere it, but for now, we can just wait… impatiently.

Renowned Melodic Techno acts Colyn and Innellea are set to embark on a highly anticipated back-to-back tour. This development is set to mark a new chapter in their ongoing collaborative journey. Following unforgettable performances in locations like Tulum and Burning Man, as well as their acclaimed joint effort on ‘Downfall‘ from Innellea’s 2024 LP, The Belonging, the duo has officially set the stage to deliver their musical synergy to fans worldwide.

The series of exclusive shows kicks off at Amsterdam Dance Event with an intimate pop-up show at ABOUTLIFESTYLE/Salon d’Homme. It would transform the men’s boutique into a swanky impromptu nightclub. The highly-anticipated performance is guest list only with free entry. With spots limited, fans are encouraged to secure their spot as soon as possible.
The Colyn Wave:
One of Amsterdam’s own, Colyn has been riding an unprecedented wave of sonic momentum this year. This is courtesy of both his mesmerizing sets and knockout releases. Fresh off jaw-dropping shows at Burning Man and in Ibiza, Colyn continues to captivate global audiences with his introspective and rhythmic sound. Colyn’s latest rework of Vintage Culture’s ‘Chemicals‘ landed alongside Innellea’s take on ‘Promised Land‘ on the Brazilian producer’s new remix album. This together set a new agenda for Melodic Techno worldwide. Colyn is also cultivating buzz with his upcoming collaboration alongside Argentine superstar Nicki Nicole. Although unreleased, the track is not only making the rounds online, but coincides with his duo of shows in Argentina alongside Adriatique. It also celebrated the stop at the Brooklyn Mirage in NYC just last month.
The Innellea Approach:
With Colyn now joining musical forces with Germany’s Innellea, the two Melodic Techno titans are poised to turn the scene inside out. Innellea’s approach to music is one of reinvention. It crafts melancholic yet cinematic soundscapes that serve as both a mirror and a window. It reflects internal states while opening doors to new perspectives. His full-length album from earlier this year, The Belonging, put him at the forefront of the genre. It also showcased an act that is arguably at its best when playing with others. This is further emphasized by his next collaborative release with Colyn, the much anticipated and musically liberating ‘Set Me Free‘.

Now elevating their shared musical vision with a series of exclusive shows, Colyn and Innellea’s upcoming tour promises to raise the bar for Melodic Techno at large. Fans can expect dates and locations to be announced in the coming months.

The ADE kickoff at ABOUTLIFESTYLE/Salon d’Homme sets the stage with a fusion of intimacy, exclusivity, and electricity. Fans are encouraged to secure their spots promptly for this guest-list-only event, as it’s poised to be one of the most talked-about performances of this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event.
