Sebastian Ingrosso Teases New Solo Project

Sebastian Ingrosso has just hinted at a new solo project that would highlight another aspect of his musical ability.
Turning now to Instagram, Ingrosso posted an enigmatic picture along with a fascinating caption:
Ingrosso is most known for his work with the Swedish House Mafia and as one-half of Axwell Λ Ingresso; hence, this news marks a shift from his known sound. The artist’s reference to “traveling inwards” suggests a more intimate and reflective attitude toward his work.
Ingrosso is a flexible producer, so we believe that this new project might explore melodic techno and progressive trance. Combining “cinematic” and “dreamy” components with “dark and mysterious” components could produce a sound with both emotional resonance and sonic complexity.
Fascinatingly, this news follows Anyma’s publication of the whole “The End of Genesys” residency lineup for The Sphere in Las Vegas. Ingrosso is scheduled to perform alongside half of Tale Of Us, which fuels more conjecture over his new musical orientation.
This is not Ingrosso’s first venture into side projects, though. Under the Buy Now name, he and Steve Angello have worked together investigating the more raw side of dance music. However, this new solo project is likely to challenge Ingrosso’s artistic limits even further.

RÜFÜS DU SOL – Exhale

And just like clockwork, we find ourselves again drooling over GRAMMY-winning live electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL. Yes, they’re sexy, but more importantly, today we receive their fifth studio album Inhale / Exhale. The highly anticipated LP is out now via Rose Avenue/Reprise Records.
The entire album is a journey, and a story you are a part of one way or another. The closing track, ‘Exhale‘, therefore, feels like you have obtained peace through the experience. It reminds us of the ability to release lots of tension and bad juju through breathing out. And more importantly, being able to breathe again, soothingly.
Ben Hemsley – Tidal
Genre: Classic Trance
Ignore this came out last week (when we didn’t do a NMF). We’d been waiting on this one piece of blissful Trance for months, and now it’s ours for Eternity. Ben Hemsley. This man took the Trance scene by storm — and for all the good reasons. As of now, he has become one of the younger figures in who we trust to restore Trance to its former glory.
Inspired by the golden era of Trance, Ben Hemsley’s ‘Tidal’ featuring the vocals of Rose Gray is one of the year’s most anticipated releases, by a mile. The 10.5-minute-long track blends Classic Trance hallmarks with innovative soundscapes, all while Rose Gray’s ethereal voice adds an emotional layer to the narrative of a turbulent on-and-off relationship.

Adam Beyer – Don’t Go
Genre: Techno (Peak-Time)
Adam Beyer continues to push Techno’s boundaries with diverse elements while staying true to the beat, with his new EP Don’t Go, out today. Picking up where he left off with previous EPs and collabs, Drumcode’s label boss delivers a two tracker of epic proportions, marked by a creative use of vocal samples and vocal processing, creating an extra layer of rampant power.
The title track, ‘Don’t Go‘, kicks off with spacey elements of hoover and doppler FX, maintaining an assertive, demanding forward thrust throughout but soon becoming dominated by the vocal sample, a two-line Afro-vibe chorus of mixed voices processed as a riff, then a melody, and then building through the big breakdown into a huge drop.
Gorgon City & Max Styler – Touch
Genre: Tech House
The Electronic music scene is buzzing with excitement as Gorgon City teams up with Max Styler for their latest track, ‘Touch‘. Known for their unique blend of Deep House and vibrant Pop elements, this collaboration is no exception. Let’s dive into what makes ‘Touch’ a standout addition to both artists’ discographies.
‘Touch’ opens with an inviting melody that sets the stage for a euphoric experience. The track features lush synths and a pulsating bassline, instantly drawing listeners in. The production is polished, with intricate layers that reveal themselves with each listen. What truly stands out in ‘Touch’ is its vocal delivery. Anyma Reveals Full Sphere Residency Lineup

The build up has been insane. And, after long months of waiting, the lineup for Anyma’s End of Genesys Residency at the Sphere is available. The Melodic Techno DJ, half of Tale of Us, and lead of Afterlife will close down the year in the very first EDM residency for the Sphere venue in Las Vegas. Moreover, Live Nation is sponsoring the event. The desert awaits!
The Lineup
With some wild cards, and some expected faces, the lineup turned out to be one of the most diverse ones we’ve seen for an Afterlife event. Anyma truly outdid himself choosing all these talented and popular individuals. Now for the familiar faces: Camelphat, Layton Giordani, Adriatique, Argy, Dixon, and Massano will all write history alongside Anyma with their influential sounds. Moreover, you can’t have a proper show unless you surprise the audience with some sick B2Bs. We’re absolutely thrilled to witness Cassian b2b Kevin de Vries, and Chris Avantgarde b2b Rebūke.
The Wild Cards
Now for the juicy surprises. More mainstream producers made it into the roster. These include Tiësto and Sebastian Ingrosso. However, their skills in blending Progressive and Big Room sounds are the perfect spice to add to the Sphere. Two of the most impactful female Techno DJs join this crazy list: Charlotte de Witte, known for her dark, and hypnotizing sounds, and Amelie Lens, who actually remixed one of Anyma’s most popular tracks ‘Syren’, into a psy-tech delight. Both Belgian artists lead their own labels (KnTxT and Exhale) and will bring their harder, sinister, and tasty soundscapes. Lastly, we will encounter legendary producer Mike Dean, and German Afro House DJ and member of Keinemusik, Rampa.
Up and Coming
To close out the list, Anyma selected new additions to the Afterlife family that have also taken the scene by storm. Script, who underwent a major rebrand that began with his smasher hit ‘On the Low’, and the electronic duo Parisi. The latter have enchanted stages all over the world with their euphoric mix of House and Techno.
The Sphere
The multibillion dollar venue has hosted major residencies for U2 and The Eagles. Most recently, its current CFO resigned this week and their stock fell a bit. Nevertheless, this AI-ran entertainment venue has led the technological industry to new heights. And now, hosting their very first EDM residency with Anyma. Alongside his visual director, Matteo Milleri aka Anyma have established a whole other realm of audiovisual experiences.

Insomniac Europe Launches To Host AMF And ASOT

Insomniac has always been synonymous with bringing larger-than-life experiences to Dance music fans. From their flagship Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) to Nocturnal Wonderland, they have dominated the U.S. scene for decades. Now, Insomniac Europe is poised to take things to the next level, with two of the most iconic European events — Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF) and A State of Trance (ASOT)— set to expand under their umbrella.
A Big Move with ALDA: The 50% Acquisition
Back in 2018, Insomniac made a bold move that signaled its intentions for global domination when they acquired 50% of ALDA, a leading European dance music event production company based in Amsterdam. Soltan Drops High-Voltage Bass EP, "Dustinations"

With his awe-inspiring dubstep and bass music production, Soltan has dazzled the masses time and time again. His new Dustinations EP only stokes the wonderment, providing us with five festival-ready bangers.
Out now on NGHTMRE and SLANDER's Gud Vibrations label, Dustinations is Soltan's first EP since 2016's Jadugar, though he's released no shortage of singles and collaborations since. "Serpent King" kicks off the project out on a raucous note, its punchy drums and acid-fueled bass promising a wild ride ahead.
Then comes the titular "Dustinations" and "Masyaf," where Soltan dips his toes into the turbulent waters of bass house. He seamlessly transitions the second drop of both back to his signature dubstep style, showcasing his formidable versatility in the studio.
"Babel Bug" finds him exploring a more languid sound, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's any gentler. Chopped and muddled samples saturate the mix while grimy, textured 808s propel through like toxic sludge. Though a standout on its own, it seems to operate as a segue into the EP's final track, "Blinking Stars," which acts as a jolt strong enough to electrify listeners into a stupor.

End Overdose is leading a hi-tech charge in the fight against drug overdoses, unveiling a cutting-edge e-training tool that promises to make a significant impact at EDM events.
The nonprofit, one of EDM.com's best industry leaders of 2022, says the initiative will "revolutionize overdose response training" at the concerts and festivals in which their teams are providing education. Dubbed "Narcats World," the e-learning resource arrives in the midst of a growing need for medical preparedness at large-scale events, where limited onsite resources can leave attendees vulnerable.
Harm reduction remains one of today's most timely flashpoints in the electronic dance music community and its festivals, which remain heavily scrutinized due to its inextricable link to drug use. Synthetic opioids like fentanyl are the primary driver of overdose deaths in the United States, according to the US Drug Enforcement Administration, citing CDC data.
End Overdose believes "Narcats World" will democratize training by making it more accessible while improving retention and preparedness. Its deployment is designed to educate more ravers while boosting their confidence in managing real-time overdose situations.
The organization says "Narcats World" can increase retention by up to 75%. They've gamified the platform to offer rewards to participants, and incorporated narrative storytelling and "multi-sensory" specs like haptic feedback to keep them engaged.
It's important to note that the e-learning tool is still in its development phase and End Overdose has not formally rolled it out to events at the time of this writing.

"I've Never Had Better Days:" Dillon Francis Opens Up About Sobriety's Impact on His Career

In a recent podcast interview, Dillon Francis opened up about sobriety and how the lifestyle affords him self-assurance and creativity.
Speaking with The XLNT Show, a podcast for discussions surrounding electronic dance music culture and production, Francis highlighted the snowball effect of drinking, especially when performing multiple nights in a row. In his case, the hangovers lasted just as long, which proved detrimental to his work.
"I don't want to have to have something to make me feel like I'm good at my job," he explained. That sentiment, he added, ultimately led to him to adopting sobriety.
With each sober performance, Francis found his confidence levels rising as the "awkward" feelings dissipated. He says he became more comfortable standing in front of the masses as well as getting on the mic to speak to them. "I'm at such a better place," he proclaimed.
Francis said he's now approaching three years of sobriety and "can't imagine going back."

Miami Nightclubs Are Rallying to Support Hurricane Milton Victims

With a rising death toll and power outages surging into the millions, Hurricane Milton has wreaked unimaginable havoc on Southeast Florida.
But as the catastrophic storm's impact swells, so does the support of the state's businesses working to provide relief. A pair of major Miami nightclubs, Club Space and DAER, are calling on their patrons to bring in essential items for victims impacted by the hurricane.
Items on Club Space's "prioritized essentials" list include canned food, bottled water, baby formula, toilet paper, paper towels, first-aid kits, over-the-counter medication, hydrogen peroxide and personal hygiene items. The iconic nightlife venue has encouraged attendees to bring items in this Friday and Saturday.

DAER is operating in a similar manner and giving the incentive of free entry to those who arrive with relief essentials from October 11-13.
They too have provided a list of suggested items, which includes canned food, bottled water, first-aid kits, toilet paper, garbage bags, batteries, cellphone chargers and pet food, among others.

The band's fifth album finds them imbuing their emotional core with even more depth while chasing the horizons of what their music can become. After the dust of the pandemic settled, the trio, who found themselves now scattered between the sunny shores of San Diego and Miami, chose to rebuild. 
And in doing so, they found creative freedom like never before, leading to the perfect storm of atmospheric electronica. Inhale / Exhale is akin to the release of a long-held breath—a rush of sound that moves from intimate whispers to roaring crescendos.

Opening with "Inhale" and "Lately," they waste no time pulling you under. The tracks pulse with vibrant synths as though they’ve fed their sound through a prism. Lyrically, they delve into familiar territory with themes of love as salvation and a means to destruction alike.
That emotional duality threads the album, but nowhere is it seemingly more apparent than in "Pressure." The band builds tension like a ticking time bomb, layering distorted synths and jagged percussion to create a slow-building catharsis. The song is mechanical, but in that restraint lies its brilliance. Unafraid to confront the weight of disconnection, it's a track that mirrors the band's own serpentine journey to influence.
But even as they push deeper into these thematic territories, RÜFÜS haven’t lost their gift for crafting festival anthems, either. "Music Is Better" channels pure, hands-in-the-air euphoria, built on a foundation of lush synth layers and uplifting percussion. It’s a celebration of the kind of connection evoked by endless sunsets and twinkly summer nights, yet beneath that surface-level bliss lies a deeper reflection on the power of music to heal and unite—an unspoken theme that runs throughout the project.
Elsewhere, there's moments in Inhale / Exhale, like in "Edge of the Earth," where you can almost feel the weight of the band's geographical separation. But instead of fracture, it’s given the album a sense of vastness. There’s a certain kind of restlessness that speaks to the endless flights and temporary studios in Ibiza, Austin and LA where the album was born. In these scattered moments, the group managed to reconnect—not just with each other, but with the unfiltered sense of creativity that's always defined their music. 
As the album draws to a close with "Exhale," it's as if the whole journey collapses in on itself, marking a moment of quiet reflection while reminding us that even in the loudest storms, there’s always stillness to follow.

BPM Festival Costa Rica 2025 Reveals Phase 1 Line-Up & Location Details

Following the announcement of a transformative re-awakening on the horizon, The BPM Festival Costa Rica has revealed the highly anticipated phase one lineup for its 4th edition in Costa Rica. The festival is set to unfold from January 8-12th, 2025. The festival will debut at a breathtaking new 20-acre venue in Playa Avellanas. It will be offering an immersive journey through house and techno’s diverse landscape.
Phase – 1 Line-Up :
The phase one lineup showcases BPM’s commitment to its house roots while embracing a fresh direction. Headlining the announcement are Ukrainian techno titans ARTBAT, Swiss melodic maestros Adriatique, and British house music royalty CAMELPHAT. Âme (DJ set), and the mystical RY X (DJ set) are making their Costa Rica debut. Returning favorites include Latin-house icon HUGEL, the energy-filled Francis Mercier, and Ibiza mainstay Steve Lawler. The lineup also features rising stars like Apache and FNX Omar, promising a swirling mix of sounds for attendees.

Live performance enthusiasts will be treated to sets from rising French multi-talent Adissiya, the legendary Cobblestone Jazz, modular wizard Mathew Jonson, and the emotive Rodriguez Jr. Returning act Sainte Vie and BPM Festival newcomer WAHM will also bring their unique blend of rock and electronic sounds to the jungle.

The phase one lineup is enhanced by a fantastic mix of local and international talent. Costa Rican artists like María Wabe and Van Der Hansz will showcase the vibrant local scene. It will be including two nighttime jungle stages in Playa Avellanas and daytime beach parties at Tabu and Chiquita’s in the festival’s original home base of Tamarindo. December 27, 2024: Dixon and Mike Dean
Starting with two heavyweights of their own scenes, the residency opens with great force.
Berlin-based DJ and producer Dixon has long been a headman in the underground electronic music scene. Renowned for his deftly created, expressive sets spanning several subgenres of house and techno, Dixon’s involvement sets a high benchmark for the opening night of the residency. His capacity for narrative-driven performances fits the immersive character of the Sphere exactly and promises a trip that will enthrall viewers all through.
Joining Dixon is Mike Dean, a name that some electronic music purists may find shocking but delights others familiar with his boundary-pushing work. Working with musicians like Kanye West and Travis Scott, Dean has molded the sound of hip-hop and pop music over decades as a famed producer and multi-instrumentalist. His recent trips into electronic music creation and live performance have highlighted a special fusion of modern production methods with analog synthesizers. Dec 28, 2024: Chris Avantgarde B2B Rebūke and Amelie Lens
Three musicians representing the more rigorous, darker side of electronic music gather on the second night.

Among the most identifiable personalities in modern techno is Charlotte de Witte. Her uncompromising sound—which features dark, atmospheric soundscapes and pummeling rhythms—has made her a headliner at big events and venues all around. De Witte’s set at the Sphere is definitely a highlight; her understated yet strong aesthetic fits the modern sound system of the venue.
For a B2B conference, Cassian and Kevin de Vries make an interesting combo. Australian producer and DJ Cassian is well-known for his expressive, melodic house and techno style. Kevin de Vries, meanwhile, has become well-known for his original mix of techno and trance influence.
Dec 30, 2024: Rampa and Parisi
The roster moves toward the deeper, more introspective side of electronic music as the residency draws near the New Year.
One-third of the praised Keinemusik group, Rampa offers the Sphere his elegant fusion of house and techno. Rampa is well-known for his sophisticated productions and deftly created DJ performances; his music frequently has an emotional depth that would fit the immersive arena.
The Italian team, Parisi consists of brothers Marco and Giampaolo Parisi, who contribute their own musical viewpoint to the evening. December 31, 2024: Massano and Adriatique

January 1, 2025: Tiësto and Argy
The first day of 2025 marks the residence turning toward more mainstream-friendly sounds while keeping its cutting-edge credibility.
A real icon of electronic dance music, Tiësto needs minimal introduction. Over three decades of work have let Tiësto constantly change his sound from trance pioneer to pop-crossover hitmaker. He fits the spectacle of the Sphere naturally because of his capacity to interact with large audiences.
Argy’s presence guarantees that even as the residency draws a larger audience, it stays anchored in legitimate, forward-looking dance music. Known for his powerful DJ sets and creations ranging from deep, dubby house to pounding techno.
January 10, 2025: Sebastian Ingrosso and Script
The residency keeps getting interesting.
One-third of the great Swedish House Mafia, Sebastian Ingrosso delivers to the Sphere his stadium-sized sound. For almost ten years, Ingrosso’s productions and DJ sets— Solo or as part of SHM—have defined the electronic music scene. With the presence at Anyma’s Residency, Sebastian Ingrosso has announced the launch of a new project, and shift on his musical style.
Combining with Ingrosso is Script, a rising star in the techno and melodic house scenes. Ingrosso’s more maximalist approach is interestingly counterpointed by Script’s emotional, story-driven approach to producing and DJing, therefore guaranteeing a night of varied and intriguing music.

January 11, 2025: CamelPhat and Layton Giordani
The residency ends with a lineup capturing the whole gamut of modern house and techno.
One of the most popular crossover artists in dance music, CamelPhat—the Grammy-nominated Liverpool pair—have emerged.  Their set looks to be a suitable ending for the residency, bridging the divide between creative integrity and financial success.
Representing the forward edge of modern techno, Layton Giordani finishes off the lineup. Giordani’s strong, driving sound on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label combines elements of traditional techno, trance, and even some EBM cues.
Anyma and the team behind “The End of Genesys” residency have produced a program reflecting the whole range of modern electronic music in arranging this varied and star-studded roster.
