Cue the Men in Black neuralyzers, because if you told us Will Smith would be headlining an EDM festival in 2025, we'd swear we were imagining things.
The Academy Award-winning actor is set to headline Spain's Dreambeach Festival, which is scheduled for August 7-10 at the scenic Villaricos Beach. While he's no stranger to performing—his '90s rap hits with DJ Jazzy Jeff still hold cultural weight—his presence at a festival dominated by electronic artists raises eyebrows.
Smith is headlining Dreambeach alongside Steve Aoki and Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello. The festival's 2025 lineup also includes Nicky Romero, Subtronics, Sub Focus, Space Laces, Dimension, Showtek and EDM.com Class of 2023 artist Indira Paganotto, among others.
Smith today also revealed his first album in 20 years, Based on a True Story, which is due out in March via SLANG Recordings. The album is likely to feature electronic music after he spent time in Ibiza "working on new music, drawing inspiration from the dance scene on the island" in the summer of 2024.
Tickets to Dreambeach 2025 are available now. You can check out the full lineup below and find more information on the festival's website.

The GRAMMY® Award-winning international icon Tiësto kicks off his next creative chapter with PRISMATIC: PACK 1. It heralds his coveted PRISMATIC live sets, which sold out Forest Hills Stadium and Red Rocks Amphitheater. Moreover, it follows his performance at The Sphere Las Vegas as special guest to Anyma, and then the extended sunset performances at Zamna in Tulum and Club Space Miami.
Prismatic: Pack 1
With PRISMATIC, Tiësto takes another massive leap forward, while being inspired by where it all started for him. This time around, he modernizes the melodic dance genre he famously helped forge and bring to the masses. PRISMATIC marks the beginning of a new chapter as he continues to evolve his sound, heavily influenced by his roots. Fans who have seen a Prismatic set have witnessed Tiësto at peak creativity and freedom – like nothing they’ve ever heard at one of his classic festival or club performances.
PRISMATIC is an exploration of sounds in which fans are taken on a sonic journey from the nostalgic trance, to deep melodic house, all the way to the new and evolving sound of Tiësto:
The first track is none other than a melodic rendition of Likke Li’s ‘I Follow Rivers’ featuring Oaks. The song is as emotional and inspirational as usual. However, it possesess that fun and powerful signature Tiësto sound that reminds us of his old school tracks. Next, ‘Hold Me’ with Jordan Shaw is a light-hearted and bouncy song that feels extremely smooth and Mainstage worthy. Lastly, ‘Parachute’ with Alex Mills is a progressive and sentimental track that pulls at your heartstrings. The song is that closing track you want to hear at the end of the night to send you off in an uber back home to fall into a beautiful deep slumber.
More of Tiësto
The international superstar had a great run in Las Vegas last year, with a residency alongside the Tao Group Hospitality venues, which he renewed for 2025. Moreover, he started the new year opening up for Anyma for the End of Genesys show (which btw got 4 more dates added ends of February). In addition, he had a surprise b2b with Anyma at LIV nightclub, which made for a special New Years week. Furthermore, the artist just came from a tasty weekend playing at Club Space Miami, and Zamna Tulum.
Ride this sonic journey with us! Here is Prismatic: Pack 1:

His meteoric rise began with the global phenomenon ‘Drugs From Amsterdam,’ which garnered nearly 200 million streams and dominated Beatport’s Top 10 for over a month. He has since cemented his status as a prolific hitmaker with tracks like ‘Gimme That Bounce,’ ‘Metro’ (with Kevin de Vries), and official remixes for industry giants such as Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, and Armand van Helden.
In just two years, Mau P has headlined sold-out tours across North America, captivated audiences at prestigious festivals like Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Amsterdam Dance Event, and Hï Ibiza, before launching his own innovative concept, Baddest Behaviour. Some artists launch labels out of necessity. OMRI. is launching one out of inevitability. After setting dance floors ablaze from Brooklyn Mirage to Burning Man’s playa, the Tel Aviv-bred selector is channeling his eclectic vision into Collecting Dots Records, with its debut release “Mission Impossible” landing January 31st.
The track, which has already earned rotation from melodic techno titans Solomun and Adriatique, feels like a mission statement. OMRI.’s signature sound – that sweet spot between nostalgia and innovation – translates perfectly into label form. But this isn’t just another producer vanity project; Collecting Dots aims to be a proper incubator, mixing established names with emerging talent.
For an artist who’s made his name reading rooms from New York to Nevada, launching a label feels like a natural evolution. If OMRI.’s track record behind the decks is any indication, Collecting Dots won’t just be collecting music – it’ll be collecting moments.
Consider “Mission Impossible” just the first dot in what promises to be a very interesting picture.

Works like this are the ones that keep the warm, kind part of this industry alive and afloat. Thanks, Q!
It’s been two whole weeks since Qrion released her second artist album, We Are Always Under The Same Sky, so I know I’m quite late to the party. But I truly wanted to take this time to simmer each track in my head and appreciate the work put into this piece, because I’ve read the story, and it’s an act of respect on my end to take each song in with care and patience.
Well, matter of fact, I’ve been following Momiji for years. She first popped onto my radar with the release of the Sapporo EP back in 2019, and then I got fully hooked with her ABGT350 performance that same year. What first stood out to me as a very shy Deep House variant, turned out to be a much more powerful expression of art coming from a culture that never ceases to amaze — Japan.
She kicked off 2025 in full swing with this LP, one that shows not only auditive magic, but also personal growth. AI will cheesily tell you these days, “The album is more than just X — it’s Y“, but I really want to take this phrase to heart and say it out loud, meaning every single word that I’m about to say: Momi’s album is much more than just plain music — it’s a door to one of the most vulnerable corners of her life, self-forgiveness.
We Are Always Under The Same Sky
Putting together a bunch of random, non-connected songs, calling it a day and releasing that as an album is one thing. Sharing a very personal and delicate matter through a number of songs that can all relate to each other, is completely different. Opening up is very difficult, let alone opening up to millions of spectators around the world. That takes courage.
That’s the wonder of art: it heals. And as much as listeners can relate or have personal stories and memories linked to certain songs, the beautiful thing about music is that, when engineered in the correct way, has the power to heal the author itself. Qrion’s We Are Always Under The Same Sky shines a light on her darkest corners of life. I’ll let her comments answer for me:
Credit: Abeiku Arthur The LP follows the release of Qrion’s 2021 debut album I Hope It Lasts Forever, which was hailed by Forbes as “stunning” and “a masterful production”. By openly addressing her struggles with addiction and recovery after her father’s passing, she imbues the theme of rebirth with a profound sense of poignancy and resilience in her new record. We Are Always Under The Same Sky represents the next phase of Qrion’s journey, written as a reflection of the past.
And even though the minimalistic aspect of the music that got me into her still holds true, today’s Qrion sounds much more lively, and full of pride and power, which only matches the actual stage in which she describes herself feeling in life. The album is heavily tinted with melodic goodies, which make for a very uplifting listen.
Writer’s Picks
I had one pick, then I had two, then three… now I feel like I have five. So I’ll go with the two that marked my experience during first listen: ‘Goa‘ and ‘I Like You A Lot‘. The first time I listened to the album was while driving, and I vividly remember when ‘Goa’ came blasting through the car’s speakers, I started to swing my body from side to side. I’ve yet to understand what it means (although I’m assuming it’s got to do with memories made at the Indian location of the same name), but what it sparked in me was pure happiness, on a particular day in which I was struggling just a little bit more than usual.
As for ‘I Like You A Lot’, I really dig how minimal it is, in the sense of how few elements are used to make a compelling, almost infectiously catchy product. By this point I was full-on vibing to the album in that same drive I just talked about, and this one was a new high for me. Complemented beautifully, of course, by the closing track, ‘Sad Song‘, which brought me back down to Earth in a very A&B-esque way, but also with a more melancholic, reflective tone. Tears were shed in the middle of rush hour.
Qrion — We Are Always Under The Same Sky Tracklist
Lean Into Light featuring pinkpirate Miyanosawa Keep On Moving Up Hush My Heart featuring Josie Man Goa Pushing Up with Blake.08 Wayside featuring Josie Man Ice Palace I Like You A Lot Sad Song featuring DIDI HAN Final Words
Hats off to this project. Finding peace through music is something I love to experience, and hearing about an artist healing wounds through their music hugs my soul in a way I can’t describe. In a world consumed by ego and hatred, growing aware of one’s issues and addressing them through composing is a very, VERY brave decision, almost as much as letting these feelings out to the world, risking appearing fragile. In the correct hands, fragility is welcomed, and hugged, and loved. And I believe Anjuna encompasses those hands perfectly, and there couldn’t have been a better home for this album.
Thanks Momi for this collection.

"Traveling for work" takes on a new meaning in the case of John Summit, who has announced that he's begun recording his sophomore album in London and Amsterdam.
Not even a year removed from the release of his debut album Comfort In Chaos, Summit has been on a roll, releasing a slew of that singles that test the boundaries of his house music sensibilities. That includes the dubstep-infused "Gas Pedal," a rework of Sage the Gemini's hit of the same name released alongside Subtronics and Tape B.
This diversity seems to be taking root in Summit's upcoming album. This week, he took to social media to share clips of unreleased demos featuring glimpses of drops ranging from techno to drum & bass.
Summit is back in the studio with familiar favorites like Sub Focus and Julia Church, with whom he collaborated to release "Go Back," as well as Hannah Boleyn, Ina Wroldsen and EDM.com Class of 2024 star Camden Cox, among others. He also shared a photo with the "High Priestess of Hard Techno" herself, Sara Landry, although there's no indication they are collaborating on new music at this time.

Ah, the afterparty. Where sleep is taboo, dancing is mandatory and the only thing between you and the brink of collapse is another Red Bull-vodka.
Before the next time you walk outside at 9am and hiss at the sun like a vampire, you'll probably hear Rich DietZ's new single, "After Show." One of the year's best tech house releases so far, the track is a hedonistic testament to endurance, excess and the kind of nights—or mornings—where time ceases to exist.
Out now via Azureon Select, "After Show" is built for those moments when the house lights come up at the club, but you and your crew know the night is far from over. The duo's lyrics read like a bouncer's whispered approval at an unmarked door, both an invitation and a warning: "Welcome to the after show, where only pros are asked to go."
It's a line that dares you to earn your rave stripes, separating the casuals from the lifers. Meanwhile, Rich DietZ's production is downright filthy, particularly in the drop, where a serpentine synth slithers through a thick bassline you can feel in your bones. Take a listen below.
"After Show" arrives in the wake of a breakout year for Rich DietZ, who graced the stages of North Coast and Breakaway, among other major dance music festivals. The surging house music tandem also performed at the Amsterdam Dance Event, the world's leading electronic music summit.
The duo's hit remix of A$AP Ferg's "Work," produced alongside Proppa and Smith & Sorren, also continues to dominate dancefloors across the world. The track has received DJ support from Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Alesso, Kaskade, Diplo, Party Favor and many more.
Rich DietZ are now set to make their Breakaway Music Festival return on April 25th, when they'll spin in Tampa along with FISHER, Louis The Child and EDM.com Class of 2022 artist Kaleena Zanders, among others. Tickets are on sale now.

Ahead of the highly anticipated February 12th release of her sophomore album, ‘One Suitcase’, global pop sensation SHAB kicks off 2025 in style with her latest single, ‘Say It With Your Chest’. Released today, and co-written with Damon Sharpe (J-Lo, Kylie Minogue) and JHart (Kygo, Justin Bieber), this powerful anthem blends seductive melodies with empowering lyrics, serving as a bold statement piece that paves the way for SHAB’s exciting next chapter.
‘Say It With Your Chest’ combines hypnotic strings, signature percussion and crashing drums, all elevated by SHAB’s distinctive smoky vocals. Paired with an electrifying music video, the rising star showcases her commanding and charismatic presence, featuring dynamic choreography and a stunning array of outfits that reflect her vibrant and energetic approach to crafting hits.
‘Say It With Your Chest’ is the third single from the upcoming 21-track album ‘One Suitcase,’ founded upon her personal journey of escaping radical fundamentalism in Iran to forging a new mindset and life in America. This powerful narrative, combined with a distinct fusion of musical influences, covers profound themes of love, resilience and self-discovery – and rapidly propelling SHAB from unimaginable hardship towards global stardom.
‘ONE SUITCASE’ is a double volume that stands as a profound reflection of the artist’s incredible life story. SHAB arrived alone as a young teenager in New York, speaking no English and carrying all of her worldly possessions in a single hand-carried suitcase. While fluent in Farsi & German, she learned English while in secondary school while working three different jobs, graduating from university but also briefly attending law school. Following upon her commitment to pursue writing and performing music full-time. SHAB has since become a leading entertainment industry voice for women’s rights in Iran and in bold defiance of what she has labelled ‘the gangster regime’ in Tehran.
The past two years have been transformational for SHAB, cementing her status as a formidable force in pop. Her collaboration with the legendary hip-hop artist Fat Joe on the hit single ‘VooDoo’ became a sensation, breaking into the Top 40 on both the Rhythmic and Pop Music charts. The track, a brilliant blend of SHAB’s debut single ‘Spell on Me’ and Fat Joe’s iconic ‘Lean Back,’ became the most Shazamed song on Apple Music during the weeks after its release. This achievement was preceded by the release of her Latin-flavoured single ‘Dolce Vita’ as well as her superpower-charged anthem to individual female empowerment, ‘Indestructible’, both of which rapidly gained currency on the European club scene. With ‘Say It With Your Chest,’ SHAB is set to continue this streak, making 2025 her year.
SHAB first gained attention in the Western Hemisphere in late 2020, when her earliest releases earned her the label “breakout star of the global pandemic.” During the lockdown, SHAB scored an impressive five consecutive #2 rankings on the Music Week British Commercial Pop Charts. SHAB’s debut album, ‘Infinite Love’, received immediate critical acclaim, with critics describing her unique electronic dance sound as “energising global pop that is both effortless and memorable.”
These remarkable achievements—combined with over 25 million YouTube views, 13 million Spotify streams and a rapidly growing global fanbase—attest to her talent and skill to consistently create chart-topping hits. She has seen recent press on the covers of FHM & Marie Claire and as featured in Wonderland, Daily Mirror, Daily Express, The Independent, Big Issue, HotPress, and METAL Magazine.
SHAB has also shone brightly on the live stage, beginning with her first international performances during 2022 on a 25-date European tour. She followed this trek during 2023 with her first-ever arena tour, opening for JLS on an 18-date tour of Ireland and Britain, including two sold-out dates at The O2 in London.
With ‘Say It With Your Chest,’ SHAB continues her meteoric ascent, welcoming in the new year with an undeniable hit as excitement for ‘One Suitcase’ reaches new heights. Get ready to Say It With Your Chest!

Electronic musician Rebūke claims that ERA is a place for individuals to lose themselves in a realm of sound and image inside a mesmerizing sense of futurism. Rebūke is working with internationally known artist deadmau5 for “Endless” featuring Ed Graves for his first single of 2025, so launching the campaign leading into his debut studio album The World of ERA (scheduled for release later this spring). Officially out today, January 31, the single lands on Rebūke’s very own ERA label.
Written with Dutch songwriter Melissa De Kleine (John Summit, Nicky Romero, Sander van Doorn), “Endless” features eerie vocals from Billboard charting producer, songwriter, artist, and instrumentalist Ed Graves. Graves over Rebūke and deadmau5’s soaring production asks, “These endless nights / The distant lights / A silent sign / Are we lost in the endless?”
The creative for “Endless” as shown in its visualizer illustrates a day in the life of a girl living in Era, as a multi-layered artist stressing visuals as an extension of his art with his music. Four main scenes are shown: the first is in an alleyway, next is outside the nightclub the third is the stairwell, where suspense is developed and lastly, she enters the nightclub and a transcendence results.
The publication of “Endless” coincides with a busy 2024 for Ireland’s Reuben Keeney. Apart from lots of studio time working on The World of ERA, Rebūke made his Coachella festival debut, appeared as b2b with Chris Avantgarde at Anyma’s innovative “The End of Genesys” Sphere residency in Las Vegas (while Anyma performed their collaboration “Syren,” among other material, as highlights in his set), and wowed audiences internationally with marquee sets at Sziget, Amsterdam Dance Event and in Ibiza.

Tiësto – Prismatic Vol. 1 (EP)
Tiësto unveils Prismatic Vol. 1, an EP that dives into his club-focused sound, blending tech house grooves, progressive melodies, and high-energy drops. With each track designed to ignite dance floors, this release showcases Tiësto’s continued evolution and mastery of diverse styles.
Armin van Buuren & John Christian – All Night
Armin van Buuren teams up with John Christian for ‘All Night,’ a driving, festival-ready anthem packed with uplifting melodies and pulsating energy. Fusing trance-inspired synths with progressive house elements, this track is primed for late-night raves and mainstage moments.
Gryffin & Kaskade ft. Nu-La – In My Head
Gryffin and Kaskade join forces for the very first time on ‘In My Head,’ a progressive house masterpiece featuring Nu-La’s emotive vocals. The track blends warm synths, uplifting melodies, and a euphoric drop, making it a perfect addition to both festival sets and feel-good playlists.
tesh – FINGERTIPS
tesh gears up for the release of his debut EP ‘CYCLES + REPETITIONS’ via San Holo’s bitbird imprint with the lead single titled, ‘FINGERTIPS’. This one perfectly showcases that signature sound that we described previously. For this single, he merges house and indie rock influences to craft a vivid reflection on memory, longing, and physical connection. With a pulsing rhythm and bittersweet lyrics—”feel you on my fingertips, love it when the feeling hits”—the track encapsulates the fleeting nature of intimacy, balancing sensuality with introspection.
Dr. Romance – Chemistry
New Orleans’ most sought-after DJ duo, Dr. Romance, drops their highly anticipated debut single, ‘Chemistry’. The track opens with an alluring piano progression, soon layered with a four-on-the-floor bassline that sets the groove. As soulful vocals glide effortlessly over the beat, the listener is pulled into a melodic trance, reminiscent of the emotional deep house anthems of the late ‘90s and early 2000s. A snare roll buildup paves the way for a euphoric, piano-driven chorus, while distortion effects and crisp percussion add a modern electronic flair to this infectious tune.

News
Welcome to our first-ever monthly round-up. Here you’ll find snippets of news from the world of bass this month. After December’s non-stop debauchery, we’ve made it through what always seems to be the longest month of the year. January is over, and what a month it’s been for bass music.
Far from what Overview boss Peter Piper’s hilarious Dramatic Reading will have you believe, D&B has not been ruined, but after 40-ish years, it’s actually still doing rather well. Some might say thriving. To mark four long decades, the International Music Summit has announced that they will be spotlighting jungle and drum and bass at this year’s summit in Ibiza.
More recognition for the genre and the amazing artists who reside within it came in the form of the mighty Nia Archives being the first jungle artist to be nominated for three Brit Awards over the course of her career. A landmark moment for jungle representation in mainstream music. Big Ups!
We saw living legends Fabio & Grooverider make their long-awaited return to the BBC. While it was only a mere two weeks while covering Shrelle’s radio show, we were all locked-on to hear them bringing their legacy back to the airwaves. Another iconic duo have also given us a blast from the past—Skream and Benga announced they are working on a new album together, with a new joint Instagram account.
https://www.instagram.com/skreamizm/p/DEXPSDaMvup
While some artists are reigniting their joint passion, some are coming to the end of their time. And it’s with a heavy heart that we read the news around 140 is Dubstep trio Ternion Sound announcing their split. They will tour this year before splitting in 2026.
January has also seen how large the heart of bass is. The scene dug deep for beloved MC Ben Verse and raised over £60K to help with the costs of his treatment—tripling the target. Tracks
One By One (VISLA Remix)– Operate and Madrush MC
Sagar Deshmukh
The ‘Overview 100’ compilation was released in two parts, spanning either side of the new year. Part one, which debuted in December, included remixes from Calyx, Wingz, gyrofield, and En:vy. The second part, released just weeks ago, delivered equally explosive reworks from the likes of Enei, Zero T, Satl, and Waeys, among many other heavy-hitting contributions. Among the avalanche of standout tracks, one that truly demands attention is VISLA’s skull-shattering rework of Operate and Madrush MC’s “One By One.” While the original offers a brooding, laidback narrative, VISLA takes the track to a whole new level, transforming it into a rugged, dancefloor-destroying anthem—a skill he has perfected since his breakout year in 2023. From dark, intimate clubs to festival stages, this remix is a guaranteed crowd-shaker, embodying the raw energy and spirit that defines Overview Music’s legacy.
Fuel – Denham Audio ft Jianbo
Ant Mullholland
The eclectic Denham Audio has dropped another release on the ever-growing Locked On Records, joining forces with South London MC Jianbo. This bouncy UK garage rhythm infused with a steely bassline complements Jianbo’s flow and delivery flawlessly—pushing the boundaries sonically, transpiring into a dancefloor damager which will undoubtedly be played in a rave near you.
Mixes
Mia Koden (On The Grid Special) @TheLotRadio
Isabella Jeanne de Boer
Mia Koden kicked the year off with an exceptional showcase of sound system-centric genres on her ‘On The Grid’ special mix for The Lot Radio earlier this month. Featuring a flawless blend of dubstep, dub-steppas, and 4/4 grooves, she set the tone immediately with an unreleased collaboration with Dubrunner, delivering raw dub energy. Highlights included Martin Campbell’s Wicked Rule from Pharma’s Dub Edits, a standout selection certifying her deep connection to bass-rooted genres. Closing the set with Love Joys’ Jah Light, a timeless reggae gem, Koden honoured the roots of sound system culture while pushing its boundaries into the present. Through this heartfelt ode, Mia Koden seamlessly fuses old-school-driven selections with modern dancefloor appeal, reaffirming her place at the forefront of today’s dance music scene.

Some songs are built for the dancefloor, others for the quiet corners of the soul. Ellie Goulding's acoustic rendition of "Hypnotized," her collaboration with Anyma, bridges both worlds with astounding clarity.
"Hypnotized" released after its viral premiere during the DJ's historic Vegas Sphere residency. Goulding performed the melodic techno track live as a stunning visual engulfed the crowd, her face contorting while a swarm of otherworldly hands clawed and twisted her features.

Her stripped-back take strips away the pulsing beats of the original, leaving behind a raw, intimate ballad that showcases her vocal prowess in its purest form. Accompanied only by a delicate piano, Goulding's voice is both soft and searing, floating effortlessly between breathy vulnerability and crystalline power.
The absence of Anyma's electronic production magnifies the cover's emotional weight, revealing a deep melancholy beneath the hypnotic allure of its lyrics. Goulding's comment that "the vocal control on this is no joke" is no exaggeration. The stripped-back arrangement leaves nowhere to hide, demanding precision and stamina.
Where the original version of "Hypnotized" thrives on rave-ready intensity, this acoustic take feels like the morning after—a moment of reflection when the euphoria has worn off. It's a testament to Goulding's artistry that she can command attention with just her voice and a piano, proving that sometimes, less truly is more.
Watch Goulding perform the cover live below. You can read more about "Hypnotized" and listen here.

It’s time for the next chapter of a defining act in the DnB scene.
Great news come from the Drum and Bass corner of the Dance industry, as the renowned pioneering duo Sigma are making a powerful return to their origins. Not only that, but they’re doing so in style, with the launch of their new imprint, Day Ones. The first single to be released on said label is theirs, and it’s called ‘Chargie‘.
The birth of Day Ones has to do with musical independence, and also giving back. The duo state they are quite thankful for their origins and the early support the industry gave them, and this is an act of returning to said scene. “Day Ones is about starting fresh, but it’s also about paying homage to everything that made Sigma what it is today“, they say. “We’ve been through it all—the highs, the lows, the grind—and now we’re back doing what we love most, making music for the scene that gave us everything. No compromises, no distractions, just pure Drum’n’Bass energy. It feels like coming home“.
‘Chargie’
Day Ones’ first release comes from the bosses themselves. ‘Chargie’ is a powerful single that features the vocals of heavy icons Scrufizzer and Jamakabi, and aims to evoke the darker energy of their early work. The track signals a decisive shift for the duo as they embark on a new chapter, building upon the foundations they established over a decade ago.
A fusion of 90s Jungle with flavours of Jump Up and Dancehall, the piece stands out as a fine wine: in an industry often saturated with over-the-top arrangements, heavily distorted leads, and often very heavily packed frequency spectrums at all times, this tune comes as a refresher, and a reminder that there’s another way: a more stripped-back way of producing DnB which, once the method has been mastered, can deliver the same power and rhythm that modern-day DnB looks up to.
Listen to Sigma‘s brand-new ‘Chargie’, by hitting the ‘Play‘ button on the Spotify player below. Be sure to follow our page to stay up to date on the latest news and views regarding our beloved Dance music industry.

The organizers of Sol Fest, an electronic music and arts festival in North Florida, have announced an indefinite hiatus.
They announced the decision today in an emotional statement, reflecting on the challenges, triumphs and the spirit of the independent festival, which launched three years ago.
"The road hasn't been easy, but your support has been the driving force that kept us going," the statement reads. "We want to extend our deepest appreciation to the entire team, volunteers, friends, and family who helped us bring this to life."
Sol Fest, known for its bass-focused lineups and deep-rooted sense of community, faced significant hurdles throughout its tenure. Organizers cited unexpected challenges from the very beginning, including the sudden loss of the CEO of their original venue, which forced a last-minute relocation. They detailed extensive efforts to secure a new home for the festival, working with officials and even personally funding venue preparations.
Despite the indefinite hiatus, the festival's proprietors haven't pulled the plug entirely. "This isn’t goodbye, Sol Fam," they wrote. "For now, hold your loved ones close and keep the Sol Fest spirit alive!"
Last year's Sol Fest featured headlining performances by Rezz, CloZee, LSDREAM, Bob Moses, Dabin, Dr. Fresch, Elderbrook, G Jones, Lettuce and EDM.com Class of 2024 artist Of The Trees.
