Zeds Dead have pulled back the dimensional curtain on their sophomore album, Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness.
Due out in early-March 2025, it will be Zeds Dead's first full-length album since 2016's ageless debut, Northern Lights. Today's reveal comes paired with a tour announcement, suggesting the dubstep veterans aren't just dropping tracks—they're architecting an entire universe.
"Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, a phrase uttered in a dream is becoming a reality in the form of our second full length album and tour... We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on and to take you into the world we’ve been creating," Zeds Dead said in an announcement on their social media.
The duo's statement hints at world-building beyond mere beats and drops, promising to drag fans through whatever interdimensional portal they've been tinkering with in the studio. But for a group that's spent over a decade pushing boundaries and melting minds, this dream-inspired venture feels less like a departure and more like a natural evolution.
For now, the electronic music community will need to holds its collective breath to see just how deep this rabbit hole goes. They can exhale this Friday when the album's first single, "Sweet Memories," hits streaming platforms.
Zeds Dead will launch a pre-sale for their upcoming album tour on Wednesday, November 20th before the general ticket on-sale begins Friday, November 22nd. Fans can check out the list of dates below and register for pre-sale access here.

The organizers of the traveling Breakaway Music Festival have announced that all of their events in 2025 will accept cryptocurrency for ticket purchases, bottle service and more.
For crypto-curious ravers, it means one more way to secure their spot at what's become North America's most ambitious touring EDM festival. The move not only modernizes Breakaway's ticketing process, but also mirrors the festival's ethos of progress and inclusivity to foster a new kind of freedom on and off the dancefloor.
"We're excited to expand our offerings and embrace the future of payments by accepting cryptocurrency at all of our 2025 festival dates," Breakaway co-founder and CEO Adam Lynn said in a press release. "As the music industry continues to evolve, we’re committed to adapting to the needs of our fans and staying ahead of the curve."

The timing is no coincidence. Breakaway CRO William Van Orsdel says the shift is the upshot of a major trend of customers and vendors requesting the use of crypto at music festivals.
"We believe in the underlying technology and are excited to be industry trailblazers for what we feel will ultimately become standard practice across the entertainment landscape," Van Orsdel added.
It's also worth noting that Breakaway's groundbreaking move arrives amid a feverishly bullish US crypto market. In a new interview on SiriusXM’s “Avicii Radio,” Klas Bergling, the father of the late EDM icon Avicii, delved into his son’s enduring legacy and the impact he left on the music world. Through a heartfelt conversation with Geronimo, SiriusXM’s VP of Electronic/Dance Music Programming, Bergling shared insights into the life of an artist who struggled with the pressures of fame and ultimately succumbed to his inner demons.
As Bergling reflected on Avicii’s legacy, he touched upon the profound impact his music continues to have on fans worldwide. Despite the pain of loss, Bergling finds solace in preserving Avicii’s spirit and ensuring that his son’s legacy endures for generations to come.
“That’s the difficulty also with him being so, you know, famous, you could say, and still so popular because he will always be there as long as I live, and my wife lives at least,” Klas Bergling
Ensuring That Avicii’s Memory Is Around Forever
Avicii’s life was cut short in 2018, leaving behind a void in music industry and in the hearts of his fans. However, his legacy continues to thrive thanks to the efforts of his family and the recent acquisition of a majority stake in his music catalog by Pophouse Entertainment, a Swedish investment firm.
Klas Bergling, shed light on the company’s long-term brand strategy, which includes the development of an Avicii musical. This ambitious project aims to celebrate Avicii’s life and music in a way that will ensure his memory endures for generations to come. In response to a question about whether the Pophouse deal will guarantee that Avicii’s memory lives on forever, Bergling expressed unwavering confidence in the endeavor.
“Absolutely. That’s what we hope and that was the reason for doing it, and of course, very, very strong reason is also that his music and, you know, the catalogs are a guarantee for the Tim Bergling Foundation,” he explained. “We have said that we will guarantee the foundation to be running for 50 years, and 50 years is a chosen number because that’s the age that Tim could have reached with the normal living standard we have today.”
“So it’s a big task to do it, and the foundation is growing. We have a very, very nice, good team in Stockholm, and so for me, I feel today quite relaxed to rely on the team to take it further, you know, when I don’t have the capacity to be there, so it’s important for me to know that also, of course, and my wife.”
The Tim Bergling Foundation Auction
The Tim Bergling Foundation, established by Avicii’s family after his tragic death in 2018, partnered with SiriusXM to launch Avicii Radio as a tribute station dedicated to honoring the DJ’s memory. For Bergling, the station serves as a beacon of remembrance and a platform to celebrate his son’s extraordinary talent.
One of the most noteworthy developments in the world of Avicii is the recent auction of his personal belongings, which raised over $700,000 in support of the Tim Bergling Foundation. This charitable organization, established by Avicii’s family, is dedicated to advocating for suicide prevention and providing support for young people facing mental health challenges. The auction featured 267 items from Avicii’s personal collection, offering fans a unique opportunity to own a piece of his legacy while contributing to a worthy cause.
From iconic stage outfits to studio equipment and personal mementos, the items up for auction provided a rare glimpse into Avicii’s life behind the music. The overwhelming response and generosity of fans and collectors alike underscored the enduring impact of Avicii’s legacy and the importance of supporting mental health initiatives in his honor.
As the proceeds from the auction poured in, it became clear that Avicii’s influence extends far beyond his music, touching the lives of those who continue to be inspired by his artistry and advocacy for mental health awareness.
Netflix Documentaries: A Closer Look at Avicii’s Life
Adding to the recent wave of Avicii-related news is the announcement of two upcoming documentaries set to premiere on Netflix. “Avicii – I’m Tim,” an intimate exploration of the artist’s life narrated by Avicii himself, is scheduled for global release on December 31st, 2024. This documentary promises to offer fans a deeper insight into Avicii’s journey, from his meteoric rise to fame to the personal struggles he faced behind the scenes.
Furthermore, Netflix will also debut “Avicii – My Last Show,” a poignant look at Avicii’s final performance before his untimely passing. This documentary captures the emotional significance of that moment and pays tribute to Avicii’s enduring legacy as a pioneer in the electronic dance music scene.
With these documentaries, fans will have the opportunity to revisit key moments in Avicii’s career and gain a greater understanding of the man behind the music. Through intimate interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and personal reflections, these films aim to honor Avicii’s memory and celebrate his enduring impact on the music world.

After finding a home in Chicago for the last 19 years, Pitchfork Music Festival is leaving the city.
The festival in 2005 took over Chicago's Union Park for its debut and has since returned each year except for 2020, when most of the live music industry shuttered due to the impact of COVID-19. Sadly for fans looking to celebrate the event's 20th anniversary, its organizers have announced that it won't return to the Windy City next year.
"This decision was not made lightly," the festival's organizers said in a statement shared across its website and social media. "For 19 years, Pitchfork Music Festival has been a celebration of music, art and community — a space where memories were made, voices were amplified and the shared love of music brought us all together."
Little did they know at the time, but attendees of last summer's Pitchfork Music Festival were the last to enjoy it in Chicago. The 2024 event featured performances by Jamie xx, 100 gecs, Carly Rae Jepsen, Yaeji, De La Soul and Grandmaster Flash, among others.
With no specific reason given for the move, the future of Pitchfork Music Festival is uncertain at the time of this writing. Organizers claim they will continue to host events next year and beyond, but have not yet confirmed whether or not their flagship fest will take place at all in 2025.

Life is full of changes—whether it’s moving to a new city, starting a new creative project, or reinventing yourself in a fresh environment. These shifts can be both exciting and overwhelming, but with the right mindset and approach, you can find your rhythm and ensure a smooth transition. For those in the EDM scene, where creativity and constant evolution are key, finding balance during these changes is crucial. Here are some creative strategies to help you transition smoothly into your next chapter.
1. Start with a Fresh Soundtrack
Music has the power to influence mood and motivation. As you embark on a new journey, whether it’s a relocation or starting a new project, building a playlist that captures the excitement of the next chapter can help you stay inspired and focused.
· Curate Your Moving Playlist: If you’re physically moving to a new place, create a playlist that represents both the emotions of leaving your current space and the excitement of your new destination. Include tracks that energize you and reflect the vibe you want to bring into your new life.
· Use Music to Set the Tone: As you settle into a new home or begin a new project, let music set the tone for each phase. Whether you need upbeat house tracks to stay productive during unpacking or calming beats to help you focus on planning, your soundtrack can help guide the rhythm of your transition.
By using music to establish the mood, you’ll maintain positivity and creativity, no matter what challenges come with the change.
2. Embrace the Creative Chaos
Transitions can feel chaotic, but embracing that chaos and turning it into an opportunity for creative growth is essential. Whether you’re rearranging your life or reinventing your artistic output, the period of uncertainty that comes with change can be used to fuel fresh ideas.
· Find Inspiration in the Disruption: Moving or starting a new creative endeavor often disrupts routine. Rather than resisting the change, use it as inspiration. The new surroundings, challenges, and people you meet can become catalysts for new music, art, or creative projects.
· Use the Moment to Experiment: If you’re transitioning creatively, now is the time to experiment with new sounds, techniques, or collaborations. Just as your life is shifting, allow your creative work to evolve with it. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and explore new approaches that align with where you’re headed.
Embracing the chaos can turn the unpredictability of a transition into an engine for creativity, helping you find your rhythm in new ways.
3. Streamline the Physical Move
For those moving to a new city or space, finding your rhythm depends on a smooth and organized move. The less stress you experience during the moving process, the more creative energy you’ll have to focus on your next chapter.
· Declutter and Organize: Use the transition as a chance to declutter your physical space. Moving provides the perfect opportunity to get rid of items that no longer serve you. Simplify your move by only taking what adds value and meaning to your life, leaving behind what weighs you down.
· Use Professional Movers: To avoid the stress of handling the logistics yourself, consider hiring professional movers to streamline the process. Services like www.shiply.com connect you with reliable movers who can handle everything from your DJ equipment to your personal belongings. This allows you to focus on your creative work while knowing your move is in good hands.
· Set Up Your Creative Space First: When you arrive at your new home or studio, prioritize setting up your creative space. Whether it’s your production setup, instruments, or work desk, having a functional creative environment from the start will help you maintain your artistic momentum.
By minimizing the logistical stress of a move, you’ll have more mental and emotional bandwidth to focus on creating and enjoying your new space.
4. Lean on Your Community
Transitions are easier to navigate when you have a strong support system. In the EDM scene, community is everything, and staying connected with fellow creators, musicians, and fans will help you maintain your creative drive.
· Collaborate with Local Artists: If you’re moving to a new city, one of the best ways to find your rhythm is by connecting with local creatives. Attend events, collaborate with local producers, and engage with the scene to build new relationships that fuel your creative journey.
· Stay Connected with Your Roots: Even if you’re moving or starting a new project, keep in touch with your existing creative community. Whether it’s through online platforms or collaborating remotely, maintaining these connections will provide a sense of continuity and support.
· Share Your Journey: Share your transition with your audience or creative peers. Whether you’re documenting the process on social media or creating new music that reflects your journey, involving others can help you stay grounded and inspired.
Your community can serve as a powerful source of encouragement and creativity as you navigate your next chapter.
Final Thoughts
Transitions are an inevitable part of life, but with the right mindset and approach, they can be powerful opportunities for growth and creativity. By using music to set the tone, embracing creative chaos, streamlining the moving process, and building a strong routine and support network, you can ensure that your next chapter is a smooth and inspiring one. Finding your rhythm through every change will help you stay true to your creative passions while welcoming new possibilities into your life.

Of The Trees recently demonstrated the power of the EDM community to support environmental causes, raising nearly $30,000 for Environment America. The campaign, which wrapped up on November 7, attracted over 20,000 supporters. These fans took action to show their commitment to clean air, wildlife conservation, and sustainable urban spaces. In return, they got the chance to meet Of The Trees at his Red Rocks shows and win tickets to a Moonglade Tour show of their choice.
Originally scheduled for November 9-10, the Red Rocks shows had to be postponed due to over a foot of snow. Although this caused disappointment, fans could still support the cause while waiting for the new dates of November 16-17.
The fundraising campaign not only showcased Of The Trees’ dedication to environmental causes but also highlighted the influence of music to inspire positive change. In a social media post, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m really happy that we can help make a real impact to help protect the planet in times like these, where the sustainability of the natural world around us is of utmost importance.”
Protecting Wild Places

With members spread across the United States, the organization works on initiatives focused on clean air, clean water, wildlife conservation, and sustainable energy. They also advocate for the protection of open spaces and the promotion of a livable climate for future generations.
One of the most urgent issues Environment America addresses is the lifestyle that is damaging the planet. The organization believes in a greener future, where nature thrives and people can live healthier, more enriching lives. They use research, public education, and direct action to push for policies that protect the environment. Through litigation and advocacy, they work toward policies that benefit both the planet and the people who call it home.
The success of this campaign further emphasizes Of The Trees’ commitment to making an impact beyond music. By using his platform, he demonstrated that even small actions can lead to significant changes. This partnership with Environment America is just one example of how artists can use their influence to support meaningful causes. The enthusiasm of Of The Trees’ fans proves that when music meets a powerful cause, real change is possible.

California-born Max Styler is making waves in the world of dance music with his latest release, ‘Time To Go,’ on Three Six Zero Recordings. With nearly a decade of production experience under his belt, Styler has crafted a distinctively dark, European-inspired sound that pushes the boundaries between house and techno.
Styler’s 2024 has been a standout year, marked by his debut appearances at iconic venues like Ushuaia Ibiza alongside Calvin Harris and the legendary Burning Man Festival. His remix of Pleasurekraft’s underground classic ‘Tarantula’ was a hit, and he scored two Beatport No.1s in the Melodic House and Techno genre with his remixes of John Summit feat. Paige Cavell‘s ‘Tears’ and the summer anthem ‘See You Sweat.’
Not one to rest on his laurels, Styler recently collaborated with dance music heavyweights Gorgon City on the track ‘Touch,’ released on the duo’s REALM label. His impressive catalogue spans across esteemed labels such as Solomun’s Diynamic, John Summit’s Experts Only, and Adam Beyer’s Truesoul.
Styler has garnered support from top DJs like Fisher, Dom Dolla, Kevin de Vries, and Cassian, and his upcoming shows include appearances at Drumsheds London with Gorgon City, Elrow Miami for the Art Basel Festival, and a coveted sunset slot at EDC Orlando on the day ‘Time To Go’ is released.

Night Tales is a duo from Sydney that plays a unique fusion of electronic music and R&B that inspires attendees who see them become instant fans. On Saturday, November 2, Night Tales came to Audio Nightclub in San Francisco to perform a fantastic set that got everyone dancing and feeling the good vibes at the same time.
Feeling the positive vibes from Night Tales at Audio
Audio Nightclub stands out from a lot of the nightclubs in San Francisco is that this club stands above a well-renowned bar, Bergerac. That club also hosts sets from diverse artists from various sub-genres of house music, in particular deep house. Another cool thing to know about Audio is that when entering it, the attendees would walk upstairs as if they’re walking up to an attic. When they get the to the dance floor, they see branches of leaves and a disco ball hanging overhead, as well as a retractable roof that opens up when there is a day time show at the venue.
As for Night Tales at Audio, the duo continuously hooked the audience by playing fantastic tracks from beginning to end. Whether if they were playing top hits such as ‘Only If’ and ‘Friends’ or playing latest singles like ‘I Just Wanted To Dance’ and ‘Sure Thing’, the mood remained the same positive environment where everyone felt the music inside their soul with their beat and even each vocal. The duo not only are skillful maestros in mixing their set but they are also world-class in their vocal talents too. This phenomenal Australian duo will definitely become one of the world’s best electronic music groups just like how RÜFÜS DU SOL, The Chainsmokers, and Daft Punk came to be.

In the fast-evolving world of Latin Tech House, Rimbano is a name making waves with his fresh and percussive sound. Known for blending diverse cultural influences, Rimbano’s tracks are redefining the genre’s landscape, catching the attention of top names like Cloonee and Gordo. In this interview, we dive into his new single ‘Safada’, his production journey, what’s next for him, and more.
Hey Rimbano, thanks for taking the time to chat with us, how are you doing today?
Hey! I’m doing great, thank you for having me.
Let’s start with ‘Safada’. Can you tell me the story on how this one was created?
I started making “Safada” back in January and it actually took a few versions in order to get to the final one. I opted for a Brazilian vocal instead of a Spanish one, which is more usual for Latin Tech House, and added some Brazilian funk percussions to spice the beat up. Those are probably the elements that make it work so well on the dancefloor.
Released on Andruss’ Drop Low Records, how does it feel to have your music on this well established label?
It’s an honor to me since I really admire the impact Andruss had on the Latin Tech House scene, and I was so excited when he texted me just after his set at EDC Las Vegas saying that he wanted to sign “Safada”. In August we also hung out together in Italy and talked about new projects, so expect new music on Drop Low Records soon!
You’ve developed a really distinct percussive house style. Can you share how this signature sound came to be and what inspires it?
The Latin Tech House scene can be considered an oversaturated market, with DJs and producers using the same sounds and playing the same tracks over and over again. In order to stand out, I decided to implement in my productions percussive sounds from different cultures (like hand-played djembes and congas from Cuba, Brazil and Africa) instead of just sticking to generic elements. I believe that having a melting pot of cultures in music can lead to original and never heard before products. The same goes for vocals, as I always dig from different sources in order to find a unique vocal for the track I’m working on.
What production tips would you give to producers out there searching for their own style?
I highly recommend focusing on a specific scene and finding the balance between the sounds that inspire you and what you can actually bring to the table in that scene, based on your own background and culture. That way you’re able to stand out even in the most saturated market as a breath of fresh air. I also suggest finding some specific elements that define your signature sound, so when people listen to a track, they’ll be able to recognize it as yours. This has been a game changer for my career, as people started sending me videos of my unreleased tracks being played by big names like Cloonee and Gordo. Those tracks weren’t out yet, but people recognized them as mine.
If you could collaborate with any other DJ, who do you think would be the perfect match for your music?
The perfect match would probably be Andruss. We mutually support each other’s work and our styles fit well together, as peculiar percussions and vocals are common elements in our productions. Another DJ and producer is GREG (BR). He’s one of the hottest names too in the Latin Tech House scene, and we already have a track together in the works. We are also planning to work on more music together in the future, so stay tuned for that!
Who would you love to collaborate with outside the house music scene?
If it was on a House track, definitely Charli XCX. Her vocals are perfect for House music, proof of that is the support from John Summit on his radioshow of my edit of Charli XCX’s “Club Classics”. But if it were a completely different genre, I would love to work with Ava Max. I’m a huge fan of her music and electro pop in general, and she is one of the artists that best represent that genre worldwide.
Which artists have influenced you the most as a DJ and producer?
Cloonee and Gordo have definitely influenced my sound, both in productions and sets. When I have writer’s block I listen to some of their sets and immediately get inspiration back. Furthermore, having my music continuously supported by them (Gordo played my track “Colombiana” together with Jezu (US) during all summer, as Cloonee did with “Safada” and many other unreleased tunes) means a lot to me, and I’m so grateful for that.
Thanks for taking the time to chat! Do you have any news to close this out?
Sure! I already have music planned in the near future, such as my debut release on Kevin McKay’s label Glasgow Underground and my comeback release on the Las Vegas based label Intentions Records. At the moment I’m in the studio working on more music and I’m currently planning international gigs for 2025, so keep an eye on my social media to stay updated on what’s to come!
