The Media Nanny and Circulate, a pair of renowned creative agencies operating in the electronic music scene, today announced a strategic partnership to expand into the Middle East.
From the sandy shores of Egypt to the high-rise cityscapes of the UAE, the genre has been captivating audiences and fostering a vibrant cultural movement throughout the MENA region. The two companies are now capitalizing by opening a new office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to a press release issued by The Media Nanny.
"From the first time I set foot on the ground, I’ve felt extremely welcome and inspired by the Kingdom," said JosĂ© Woldring-Walker, the PR firm's founder and CEO. "We have built a strong track record thanks to the trust from our clients and the successful global campaigns we’ve run with them over the last four years. It’s a priority for us to continue demonstrating our knowledge and expertise by supporting clients who are leading innovation across Saudi Arabia and the MENA region. I believe there is no better city than Riyadh to establish ourselves to service new and existing clients."
Headquartered in Amsterdam, The Media Nanny executes press campaigns for a slew of high-profile DJs and dance music entities, including GORDO, Lilly Palmer, The Pacha Group and FIVE Music. Circulate, a digital agency with offices in Dublin, London, Lisbon and Amsterdam, represents Circoloco, Mochakk and Oliver Heldens, among others.
The companies have also played a pivotal role in the launch of MDLBEAST, a Saudi entertainment firm perhaps best known for its massive EDM festival, Soundstorm. The event annually attracts over 600,000 people to the Banban Desert on the outskirts of Riyadh.

A recent spate of high-profile acquisitions and venue openings has established Dubai not only as a lynchpin of MENA's flourishing nightlife sector, but also a leading destination for EDM enthusiasts. The proprietors of the iconic Tomorrowland festival opened a palatial desert resort, Terra Solis, in 2022. A year later, the Dubai-based hospitality giant FIVE acquired Pacha Group, one of Ibiza's most illustrious nightlife institutions, in a deal valued at $330 million.
Another fabled Ibiza club, UshuaĂŻa, expanded to the UAE capital in late-October by virtue of a dazzling concert headlined by Calvin Harris. The International Music Summit, one of the electronic music industry's most influential conferences, is also expanding to Dubai. The gathering is annually in Ibiza but will now head to the W Hotel - Mina Seyahi in November.
This growth is being driven by a convergence of factors, primarily a young, tech-savvy population and increased government investment in the arts. To that end, Circulate plans to concertedly spotlight emerging talent in the region.
"Our collaboration with The Media Nanny enables us to use our global music networks and experience to the benefit of our partners," said the agency's co-founder Marcus O’Sullivan. "Combined with that, our intention is to attract the very best regional talent to work alongside our existing teams, this will be an unparalleled creative launchpad in the Middle East."
Circulate and The Media Nanny plan to open the new office sometime in 2025.

After an almost two-year-long hiatus, Your EDM mysteriously started posting on Instagram again this week. They picked up right where they left off with coverage of festival lineups and EDM news. Yesterday, however, they posted a message from Matt Meadow, the “previous owner and editor in chief of Your EDM,” explaining a significant change for the EDM media outlet.
In the post, Meadow explained that the company is being sold to PLAYY., a UK based music PR company with over 20 years in the music industry. According to Meadow, PLAYY. is fully capable of continuing Your EDM’s legacy, as they have already worked alongside some of the most well-known artists in EDM, like Flux Pavilion, Steve Aoki, and Zedd.
Meadow also reflected on the last 12 years of Your EDM, taking pride in delivering the “fastest news and most in-depth reviews on thousands of new artists,” as well as coverage on thousands of artists, and working with respected brands like Insomniac, Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, OWSLA, Dirtybird, A State Of Trance, DIM MAK, and more.
Meadow himself wrote over 11,000 articles during his tenure as editorial lead, while leading a team that wrote 15,000 more. He reflects back on pivotal EDM moments, including “when RL Grime retired Clockwork at HARD Summer Music Festival,” and “when Destroid got back together at the first Lost Lands,” and “when Daft Punk broke up.” While the EDM community will forever be a part of him, he feels ready to hand over the reins to PLAYY.
About PLAYY.

According to the company’s website, PLAYY. is a UK-based music PR company with over 20 years of experience in the industry. They work with both emerging talent, as well as world-renowned artists to spread their brand across influential music and media outlets across numerous countries worldwide. PLAYY. has also hosted hundreds of events, “booking thousands of artists and selling hundreds of thousands of tickets since opening its doors in 2008.” They have worked with artists like Agents of Time, Ed Sheeran, Doctor P, Dillon Francis, Flux Pavilion, Franz Ferdinand, Maya Jane Coles, Pendulum, Porter Robinson, Zedd, and many, many more.

In a surprising announcement, Pitchfork Music Festival confirmed that it will not be returning to Union Park in 2025, marking the end of its longstanding tradition of almost 19 years in Chicago. The festival, which has been a staple of the city’s summer music scene for almost 2 decades, will not take place leaving the fans and the local community in shock and uncertainty.
Pitchfork Music Festival, has showcased a mix of indie rock, electronic, hip hop, and experimental music since its inception in 2006. The festival was normally held over three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) in July, in Union Park in Chicago, Illinois. Organized by the online magazine Pitchfork.  Their lineup for Summer 2024 included artists Alanis Morissette, Carly Rae Jepsen, 100 Gecs, Jai Paul, and Black Pumas.
It’s a tough time for many festivals right now with inflation, stricter regulations, growing competition from other festivals, changing audience tastes, and organizing a successful festival is not an easy feat.
For now, the future of Pitchfork Music Festival remains uncertain, but organizers have promised to keep fans updated as they work on new initiatives. While the festival will not take place in 2025, the legacy of Pitchfork’s impact on Chicago’s cultural and music scene will undoubtedly continue to resonate for years to come.

When your songwriting credits include Excision, Zeds Dead, and NGHTMRE, you could easily rest on your laurels. But ASH HALO – the Canadian duo of Sara and Dave – isn’t here for easy. Their self-released single “Vice Versa,” crafted with fellow northerner Save Yourself, is a genre-blending love letter to electronic music’s endless possibilities.
The track weaves reggae warmth through hardstyle punch, wraps melodic bass around trap foundations, and somehow makes it all feel effortless. It’s fitting that a song about relationship dynamics comes from a duo who knows them intimately – Sara and Dave’s partnership, both on and off stage, infuses every moment with lived experience rather than studio calculation.
Save Yourself (aka Cody Patzer) proves the perfect collaborator, bringing the same boundary-pushing energy that landed him on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. Fresh off destroying crowds at Bass Canyon and Lost Lands, ASH HALO’s using this self-release to launch an ambitious monthly release schedule through spring 2025. If “Vice Versa” is any indication, the bass scene better buckle up – this power couple’s just getting started.

After running airwaves with “Stumblin’ In” and that massive Disturbed remix, Australian wunderkind CYRIL isn’t resting on his 700M-stream laurels. His latest single “Still Into You” pairs his signature electronic flourishes with rising vocal powerhouse maryjo, crafting the kind of cross-genre earworm that feels destined for playlist dominance.
Fresh off his debut U.S. tour and riding high from his versatile “To The World” EP, the Darwin-based producer continues to prove why he’s one of Australia’s hottest exports. It’s a remarkable arc for an artist who once nearly abandoned music altogether – but kept his laptop and guitar close, just in case. That persistence paid off: he’s now diamond-selling, ARIA-nominated, and topping Shazam charts in 20 countries.
Enter maryjo, the Cleveland native whose journey from shy bedroom singer to social media sensation reads like a modern fairy tale. Her raw vocal talent – which earned her a duet with Jewel and 14M global streams – gives “Still Into You” its emotional anchor. The track perfectly balances CYRIL’s dynamic production with maryjo’s soul-stirring delivery, creating something that feels both radio-ready and refreshingly authentic.

In a moment that felt like a time capsule straight from 2019, Marshmello has previewed a never-before-heard collaboration with the late Juice WRLD live on Kai Cenat’s streaming channel.
The unreleased track marks another poignant chapter in Marshmello and Juice WRLD's enduring collaborative legacy. Mello explained to Cenat during the stream that in late 2019, just days before the rapper's tragic passing, the two had planned to shoot a music video for "Come & Go," a track that would ultimately become a global hit. That song recently hit a major milestone by joining Spotify's billion-stream club.
Now, nearly five years later, his latest unreleased preview with the "Lucid Dreams" wordsmith serves as yet another reminder of the close bond shared by the superstar artists. "Come & Go," along with tracks like "Bye Bye" and "Hate The Other Side," have been cemented as cornerstones of Juice WRLD's cross-genre legacy.
Hearing more unreleased music adds a layer of bittersweet nostalgia, a reminder of the talent that was lost too soon—and of how his music lives on. Check out the clip from Cenat's stream below.

Bag Raiders’ “Shooting Stars” was already a certified dance classic before the internet got its hands on it – a euphoric slice of electronic perfection that proved some tracks are simply timeless. Now Dutch-Moroccan producer R3HAB, whose own streaming numbers clock in at a staggering 11 billion, has given this beloved anthem a 2024 renaissance, powered by Mufasa & Hypeman’s magnetic energy and RANI’s soaring vocals.
While the original found new life through viral fame, R3HAB’s take reminds us why the track captured imaginations in the first place. His signature production – the same touch that’s earned him collabs with Rihanna and Taylor Swift – amplifies the original’s dreamy synths and infectious groove. Mufasa & Hypeman, fresh off their own billion-stream success, inject pure joy into the mix, while RANI (whose vocals have graced tracks by David Guetta and Jonas Blue) adds a soulful dimension that feels both fresh and faithful.
Released through R3HAB’s CYB3RPVNK label, this isn’t just a remix – it’s a celebration of dance music’s ability to evolve while keeping its heart intact. “Believe (Shooting Stars)” proves that great tracks never really die; they just wait for the right moment to soar again.

The dead don’t just walk – they absolutely demolish everything in their path. Zomboy’s “Dead Man Walking Pt. 2” EP isn’t just a follow-up; it’s a five-track nuclear assault that proves the UK bass architect hasn’t lost an ounce of that face-melting energy that gave us “Terror Squad” and “Like A Bitch.”
Opening with “Fallout” (aptly named for the destruction it’s about to cause), Zomboy reminds us why he went from drumming in metal bands to becoming dubstep royalty. The EDDIE collab “D.E.A.D.” hits like a video game boss fight gone rogue, while “Project Z” serves up the kind of grimy, mechanical mayhem that’ll have ravers questioning their life choices – in the best way possible.
Now heading up his own Rott N’ Roll Records (after that legendary run with Never Say Die), Zomboy’s evolution from SoundCloud demos to 750M streams hasn’t dulled his teeth. This EP doesn’t just bang – it’s surgical in its savagery. That closing track “Inhumation” might offer a deceptively cinematic breather, but make no mistake: this is Zomboy at his most lethal, proving once again why he’s been terrorizing festival stages from Ministry of Sound to EDC Vegas. The dead man isn’t just walking – he’s stomping the yard.

He sold out two b2b shows at the Great Hall in Avant Gardner, showing his immense growth as an artist over the past few years.
photo credits: ErikLorch As the doors of the Great Hall opened, a diverse crowd eagerly awaited Virji’s performance. The night kicked off with a dynamic sets from Hans Glader and Andruss.
When Virji finally took the stage at 1am, the energy reached a fever pitch. His signature feel-good garage sound filled the room, captivating the audience with its bouncy beats and infectious grooves. He’s a wizard at fusing the classic UK Garage sound with cutting-edge production, crafting a vibrant, bouncy, and undeniably unique sonic experience. The crowd, a mix of seasoned ravers and newcomers to the genre, danced the night away, united by the love of the genre. Throughout the two hour set, the energy was nonstop, with the crowd erupting in cheers and fist bumps as Sammy’s peak beats took the crowd through a journey. If you were there, it was honestly hard to not jump around. Hype and frenzied energy was fueled by some of his biggest hits such as ‘IF U Need it’, ‘Shella Verse’ and ‘Moonlight.’ Myself and many others in attendance that weekend left with excitement and anticipation for the new world of music that Sammy has opened up with his sound.

Third Culture just dropped the kind of track that makes genre purists clutch their pearls – and that’s exactly the point. “She’s Evil,” their new collaboration with Chicago techno maverick Hiroko Yamamura, isn’t here to play nice with your expectations. The duo – Sian and Sacha Robotti – have crafted something deliciously twisted: a bass-heavy fever dream that’s equal parts playful funk and dark room delirium.
But wait – they’ve also enlisted Detroit royalty DJ Minx for remix duties. Fresh off curating her own stage at Movement and dropping heat on Diplo’s Higher Ground, the First Lady of Wax brings her signature analog grit to the proceedings. This isn’t just a remix; it’s a masterclass from someone who’s been reshaping dance music since the early ’90s.
The track lands via Octopus Recordings with perfect timing. While Third Culture’s been busy collecting co-signs from Solomun (who handed them an 8000-capacity LA debut) and dropping EPs on Maceo Plex’s Lone Romantic, Yamamura’s been holding down Chicago’s underground at Spybar and Soundbar, bringing her sci-fi-meets-techno vision to the masses. It’s a collision of scenes and sounds that shouldn’t work on paper – but that’s exactly why it slaps so hard on the dancefloor.

The world has been grieving the passing of former One Direction Member, the singer and songwriter Liam Payne. Taking a moment during his set at Insomniac‘s EDC Orlando last Sunday, legendary Swedish DJ/Producer Alesso paid a touching tribute to his late friend. Both artists had deveolped a friendship recently. However, it all grew exponentially back in 2019 and the release of their collaboration, ‘Midnight.’
Tribute
Alesso spoke directly to attendees on his personal relationship with the One Direction star. Moreover, just before he played their track ‘Midnight’ in Liam Payne’s memory, he voiced a soft and gentle message on the passing of his friend and colleague:
Alesso requested the crowd to turn on their lights whilst Liam Payne’s vocals echoed on Circuit Grounds. The singer’s image appeared at large on the EDC Orlando stage. Alesso wished for his tribute to reach everyone in the audience, with the love pouring in its entirety all throughout this highly emotional moment that was shared between Alesso and the crowd at the time, and now with all of us.
Liam Payne, 31, tragically passed whilst vacationing in Argentina. The artist suffered fatal injuries after falling from his hotel balcony. The singer’s investigation is still pending, and new findings on his death continue emerging days go by. The EDMTunes family would like to offer our condolences to Liam Payne’s family, friends, and fans. We would like to extend our love to Alesso and the message he made to honour a person that was very close to him. We know the impact he made during his lifetime will forever be ingrained in our hearts. Not only as an artist, but as a human.

Darby’s ‘PARTY’ EP arrives like a glitter bomb in a therapy session – a four-track exploration of what happens when club euphoria crashes into late-night existential crisis. The Australian producer, already catching cosigns from Skrillex and remixing for ODESZA, refuses to let us just mindlessly fist-pump our way through his latest NIGHTMODE release.
Sure, the tracks bang – “TRUST” with Britt Lari and the OOTORO collab “PARTY” are engineered to detonate on festival stages. But beneath the UKG rhythms and bass house thunder, Darby’s playing psychiatrist to the sweaty masses. “FLOW” and “AUTOPILOT” featuring ÊMIA dive into those 3 AM moments when the lights hit different and you’re questioning every life choice that led you to this dancefloor.
At 24, Darby’s already got releases on Ninja Tune, Monstercat, and Bitbird under his belt, but this hits different. While his contemporaries are content making generic festival fodder, he’s out here turning Y2K nostalgia and club dynamics into sonic case studies. ‘PARTY’ isn’t just an EP – it’s what happens when your therapist starts spinning UK garage. The couch is optional, but dancing isn’t.

Panamanian rebel Gian Varela releases his powerful and appropriately titled new track “Revolution,” for which he teamed up with Grammy-winning songwriter and vocalist Cor.Ece. The Latin House-influenced spoken-word heater is also the very first release on Varela‘s own label Monarka Records, marking a huge milestone in his musical career. “Revolution” certainly comes at an appropriate time not just for the US, but for the world, with its powerful vocals by Cor.Ece and strong associated messages, all tied together with percussive kick drums and a driving bassline. With this release, Gian Varela sets the bar high for Monarka Records as a home of diverse, globally influenced, and carefully cultivated people, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
“Having a label has always been a goal in my career. It’s not just to release my own music that I feel fits with this style of Latin house, but I also wanted to create a community through our music and the events I would throw around the world that could encompass the energy of Monarka. It’s an elegant, sophisticated, yet powerful vision of a label and a home for Latin house with no limits or boundaries. We want records that carry ‘attitude,’ which can be showcased on the dance floor. ‘Revolution,’ my first release on Monarka, and the label’s first release, on which I worked with the Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Cor.Ece. As the title suggests, the track conveys a strong message behind it.” – Gian Varela

Gian Valera
Gian Varela‘s journey from a Latin Dance Music sensation in Central America to a globally celebrated House DJ and producer has been nothing short of remarkable. His artistic mission has taken him deeper into the global house culture, resulting in the evolution of his sound. Gian Varela‘s sound delves between Latin House and Tech House, fused with Latin/Afro drums and rave-guided synthesis. The result: a sophisticated yet revolutionary, high-energy sound familiar to underground culture, yet ready to captivate the masses. Gian has made his presence in eminent festivals worldwide, including Tomorrowland Winter, Ultra Miami & Abu Dhabi, Beyond Wonderland & EDC Mexico. He has also toured prestigious nightclubs around the world like Liv Miami, Exchange Amsterdam, E11EVEN Miami, Marquee New York City, Privilege Ibiza, and Fusion Shanghai. Armed with his unique sound within House Music and his passion: Gian promises a continued rise as he evolves within the electronic music landscape.

Cor.Ece
Cor.Ece is a whole vibe. The LA-based vocalist and songwriter recently exploded onto the scene through an incendiary collaboration with Honey Dijon on her Defected singles “Unleash” and “Work,” and on a Grammy-winning songwriting team for BeyoncĂ©â€˜s “Cozy” from her groundbreaking 2022 album Renaissance. Cor.Ece delivers his own unique musical statement with his solo debut on RNT, the “Dance To Keep From Crying” EP. Produced by JKriv, the lead-off single “Possibly Impossible” fuses airy and expansive vocal soundscapes with a certifiably infectious hook and shows Cor. Ece‘s dynamism as a performer and songwriter. In 2023, you can find Cor.Ece directing and starring in “Stand” a “smoldering and poetic” dance anthem for all times. 2024 brings together all new energy with a new album by Cor.Ece and Bad Colours, “Been Here Before” released on the esteemed label Bastard Jazz with lead single “Jeans’ and ‘Mars,” featuring Life on Planets.

Four years ago, she released her first music and now she’s already on her fourth headline tour. It’s going well for Zingara. For The Crystal Children, her most recent EP, was released on November 1, and it’s a love letter to her “childhood dreams, the universe and the collective.” Ever since she was little, Zingara has been inspired by these themes and now, she’s bringing them to life through her music and through workshops at festivals.
For The Crystal Children is a follow-up on her debut album The Code of Dreamz, released earlier this year. Both musically and artistically, you can see how this EP goes even deeper into creating its own reality, following its own universe. We had a chat with Zingara and talked all about manifestations, her latest liveshow, and what’s more to come from her.
Hi Zingara! Congratulations on releasing your For the Crystal Children EP! Can you tell us more about your inspirations behind it?
A lot of my inspiration comes from my dreams as a kid. I’m really embodying my childhood dreams and bringing them into my music. My ‘For The Crystal Children’ EP and tour is inspired by a folder called ‘The Crystal Children’ I was given by my aunt as a child, she’s my psychic witch aunt. It had a lot of information about crystals and spirituality. I thought it would be a really cool idea to work with, so I took that and ran with it. In my new music, I embody the lessons I learned from her in that folder. Throughout the past year, all the teachings I’ve learned as a kid that have to do with following the universe, the signs, doing whatever you want, creating your own reality, and bringing those other world ideas that I get to experience in my dreams at night and bring them to real life
That’s what my biggest inspiration has been.
Talking about manifestations and spirituality, you led a ‘Create your own vision board’-session at Lost Lands.
That was really cool! I’ve been dancing, and making art and music my whole life. It just clicked one day that I could teach that in my music and then everything kind of took off. I feel like I’m meant to show people the way that I embody my life and go about life experiences. It’s literally given me my dream life. I’d love to teach more classes like that. I’ve done a couple at Bass Canyon and Lost Lands now, and it’s always been good. In the workshop, we create vision boards and we make time capsules to come back to and read together. It’s been really rewarding because I’ve had people come to my vision board classes the year after and tell me that their manifestations came true. That’s why I do it.
How does this spirituality connect with your music?
I truly believe that everything is energy, and if everything is energy then that means that music also holds energy and power to it. There are studies that show that certain energy points, like the chakra points in your bodies, relate to certain keys in your music. I’ll purposely write some of my music in certain keys, based on where I want to feel it and where I think that a listener could get healing from it. For example, the key to your heart is ‘F’ and so I write a lot of music in F-minor. When you pay attention to it, you’ll feel it in your heart. I love electronic music, because there are infinite possibilities with it. You can take all those messages and ideas, and heal yourself and others.
I started learning all of this when I was 11. Growing up, I was one of the only people in my area that was interested in spirituality and those kinds of topics. I started studying music in college and it was during Covid, when the pandemic first hit, that my music career started to take off. I started to go on TikTok and make videos about my experiences with spirituality and crystals, and people started to resonate with my videos. That’s when it clicked for me, and I decided that I wanted to write most of my music about that if I was gonna be putting it out there for people to hear.
Fast forward four years, and you’re ready for your fourth headline tour. How does that feel?
Every emotion. I feel infinite blessings and then there are also, for lack of a better word, curses in there. There’s so much happening all the time and it’s all a manifestation of everything I’ve wanted. I never thought that it could happen so soon. During COVID, when I was writing these songs, I didn’t think anything of it besides that I enjoyed writing these songs. I almost didn’t release anything because I was nervous that people were gonna think of me as this loopy spiritual girl. But it clicked and I felt so much love, but at the same time this amount of love and attention was also quite overwhelming because how am I going to keep the story going? And what else can I teach myself to teach others?
For those who don’t know what manifestation is, can you explain?
For me, it’s about stepping into your own power and the belief that you create your own reality. Your thoughts and your actions are a reflection of what’s in front of you. No matter what, you have the power to take control of what you want in this life and you can make your dreams come true. When I started to learn that as a kid, I thought that it was super cool, and I wanted to see it work. I started getting involved with different practices of manifestation, like journaling, telling myself affirmations like, “I can do this and I will do this,” and getting into that mindset of abundance. I started with the idea of, “Let’s have fun with life and take things less seriously.” This completely shifted my energy and now I am living my manifestations that I did a couple years ago and wrote down and journaled about.
You can also see these manifestations coming back in my music and my artwork. In the artwork for ‘The Code of Dreamz’, you can see a little girl sleeping in what’s supposed to be my room and you’ll see the angel and the devil. Those are projections of my mind, and ‘For The Crystal Children’ is a continuation of that story. The little girl in that cover art is a little bit older, and she’s learned some lessons. When you get older, you dive more into your power. Now she has many arms and wings, and is embodying that growth. When we’re children, we’re taught magic is real, but then you get a little older and everyone tells you to stop believing in magic
With my music, I want to bring the magic back into our lives and embody that full-on like child self. Magic does exist. Maybe not in those same ways, but there still is magic out there.
My generation, we’re so much more open and accepting of new concepts and ideas and breaking the social norm, “breaking the robot system” is how I’d like to call it. You have to go to school, go to college, get a job, get married
We’re all breaking that and it’s really cool. You can see that shift. The whole tour is not only dedicated to our crystal children and our oversouls, but also to the collective of, “We’re here, we’re saving the world. We’re doing cool shit, we’re having fun and that’s the whole point.” We’re here to have fun and be silly and bring our dreams to real life and have them come true.
You’re also bringing four special guests

I have a lot of friends coming on tour with me. Firstly, I’ve got Gardella and Steller. They came with me on my last tour and since I wanted to do a part two of Code of Dreamz but still keep the story going, I knew I wanted to bring them. Their energy is incredible. We also have Sippy. I hadn’t toured with her before but I love her energy and her music and everything she brings to the table and to the scene. It’s so uplifting and positive. Then we have Super Future who has toured with in the past and is such a good person. I just really wanted to make sure that everybody that was coming with me is there for the music and they have the actual passion, but they’re also uplifting to be around.
Absolutely. It’s so important to have uplifting people around you. Is that how you choose people to work with on your tracks as well?
For sure. Steller is on the EP as well, she lives in Florida as well, a couple hours away from me so she comes and visits sometimes and we have studio sessions. The track on the EP is a collaboration called ‘Rhythm of Life. We started that over the summer and it accidentally manifested into something so magical. On a couple tracks on the EP there’s my friend Maurice Brown featuring. I met him over the summer at Shambala. He is an incredible artist, he plays the trumpet. I played at the Brooklyn Mirage this summer with Black Tiger Sex Machine and Maurice lives in Brooklyn. Steller happened to also be in Brooklyn so I went over to Maurice’s studio and we recorded the horns and the trumpet that you hear. Then Steller came over and then we all got to perform it live the next day at the Brooklyn Mirage. Looking back at these kinds of stories and even looking at my goals at the beginning of the year versus who I met this year
Maurice is one of those people I met on the road and I got incredible energy from him as an artist. He’s so passionate and it brought a new spark to this stuff. Watching him play the trumpet live and getting to record that was so much fun.
What do you think got you to this point?
First of all, a good community. I would probably not be mentally stable if it wasn’t for the community, friends and family I have around me. That is a huge thing, my support system.
Besides the fact that I have an amazing support system, and team of friends and family, it’s also important to me to have my own creative space. One of my manifestations during COVID was, I need to move out of Maryland and I need to get my own place, so I came to Florida. I finally have my own sanctuary here, where I can sit and comfortably create. My support, my music and my comfort here is what gave me the opportunity in the first place to give people a piece of me. It’s my mindset too. I love doing music and I love doing all this, helping people and making people feel things, no matter what that feeling is, and bringing that out of them. That’s what keeps me going and that’s what’s got me here.

Marcela A, a Colombian-born music producer and songwriter, recently released her latest single, “You Are a Liar.”
Released in September 2024 by Cuckoo Records, You Are a Liar marks yet another big moment in Marcela A’s career, which stretches across genres like Reggaeton, Latin, and Dance music. Over in the UK, Music Week’s Cool Cuts chart—pulled together by CD Pool from feedback off Club and Radio DJs, plus a good bit of data from blogs, dance sites, and online and retail outlets—saw her featured at #18 last year.
Her latest track, You Are a Liar, landed on September 6, 2024, through Cuckoo Records, pushing her career even further forward. This Electro Pop banger comes with House remixes from Dan Boots of The Stereojackers and is bound to make waves across dance floors worldwide. The release packs a hefty punch, with four remixes, two radio edits, and two club mixes, all geared up to keep the energy high.

Following her last single, Out of Touch (When You Are Not Around), Marcela A shows she’s the one calling the shots, writing, producing, and belting out You Are a Liar herself. It’s a hard-hitting tune exploring betrayal and infidelity, with Marcela taking charge of every note and lyric. Heavy synths and powerful vocals highlight her flair for blending styles and her skill as a top-notch producer and songwriter.
The official video, shot in Colombia, has already racked up over 40,000 views, showing just how much her influence is spreading in the music scene. Known for fusing Pop, EDM, and Latin vibes, Marcela A splits her time between Colombia and the UK, pulling from her roots while diving into the innovative UK sound. Over the past decade, she’s earned herself six Top 40 hits on the UK Music Week club charts.
Her journey started in Colombia back in 2011, making waves in Reggaeton alongside artists like JD Chamo and dropping tunes like Suave and Se Mueve AsĂ. In 2015, she broke into the Dance music world with her debut single Do It, making it onto the UK Music Week club charts. She followed up with hits like Ahora and Dance, and by 2017, DĂmelo had climbed to number 13 on the charts.
You Are a Liar brings together Marcela A’s trademark mix of raw emotion and catchy beats, getting listeners to feel and move in equal measure. And she’s not letting up anytime soon — watch out for her next track, Electromagnetic, a collab with Canadian artist Coda Chrome, coming later this year.

In “You Are a Liar,” Marcela A continues her exploration of themes relevant to modern listeners. The song addresses infidelity from the perspective of the person who has been deceived, capturing the emotions associated with betrayal. During the creation of the track, Marcela A took charge of the entire production process, developing the instrumental base and writing the lyrics herself.
The track features prominent synthesizers and engaging vocals, showcasing her versatility as a producer and songwriter. “You Are a Liar” aims to resonate with listeners, inviting them to connect with its themes and lively energy.

Zeds Dead have pulled back the dimensional curtain on their sophomore album, Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness.
Due out in early-March 2025, it will be Zeds Dead's first full-length album since 2016's ageless debut, Northern Lights. Today's reveal comes paired with a tour announcement, suggesting the dubstep veterans aren't just dropping tracks—they're architecting an entire universe.
"Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, a phrase uttered in a dream is becoming a reality in the form of our second full length album and tour... We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on and to take you into the world we’ve been creating," Zeds Dead said in an announcement on their social media.
The duo's statement hints at world-building beyond mere beats and drops, promising to drag fans through whatever interdimensional portal they've been tinkering with in the studio. But for a group that's spent over a decade pushing boundaries and melting minds, this dream-inspired venture feels less like a departure and more like a natural evolution.
For now, the electronic music community will need to holds its collective breath to see just how deep this rabbit hole goes. They can exhale this Friday when the album's first single, "Sweet Memories," hits streaming platforms.
Zeds Dead will launch a pre-sale for their upcoming album tour on Wednesday, November 20th before the general ticket on-sale begins Friday, November 22nd. Fans can check out the list of dates below and register for pre-sale access here.
