Critically acclaimed electronic music producer and artist Elephante has finally released his brand new album titled ‘COPE’ via his label Hidden Horizon. This album marks his 4th full-length album release and follows on from 2021’s ‘Heavy Glow’. As expected with Elephante, the album explores the emotional spectrum of healing and resilience, diving deep into the ways we navigate trauma and hardship.
The album’s focus single, ‘Taste of Your Tongue’ ft. babyidontlikeyou, encapsulates the whirlwind of nostalgia and flawed romance, tapping into Elephante‘s ability to blend emotionally charged storytelling with his signature electronic production. Speaking on the single, Elephante says “‘Taste of Your Tongue’ is a song about nostalgia, and looking back with rose-colored glasses at an old relationship that didn’t work out. As time goes on, we forget the bad and remember the good, and sometimes we make mistakes trying to recapture the magic. And sometimes you just gotta say fuck it, and have that fling that you know you shouldn’t.” The track is driven by punchy beats and shimmering synths, capturing both the exhilaration and regret that comes with revisiting past emotions.
As a whole, ‘COPE’ is a deeply thematic album, with each track representing a different facet of dealing with life’s challenges. Elephante elaborates, “My album is called COPE. Thematically, it’s about all the different ways that we get through trauma and difficult moments in our lives. Each of the songs is a different approach to coping.” From nostalgic reflections to cathartic releases, the album offers a nuanced and relatable emotional journey, while continuing to push Elephante’s sonic boundaries.
Released via his Hidden Horizon label, ‘COPE’ builds on Elephante’s mission to uplift emerging and underrepresented voices in electronic music. Following the success of his previous singles, the album promises to be a highlight of Elephante’s already impressive career and in addition will be accompanied by a round of national tour dates. The album explores themes of healing, resilience, and navigating trauma with introspective and genre-blending soundscapes.

Celebrated for their exceptional releases on Afterlife and Siamese, Swiss team ENØS makes a victorious comeback with the Now or Forever EP, therefore marking a historic 50th release on Sinners. Renowned for their expressive rhythms and evocative soundscapes, the Lausanne brothers create two hypnotic tracks highlighting a darker and more complex development of their melodic techno craft.
The EP begins with the title song, Now or Forever, a rich and atmospheric work bursting with beautiful, dreamy harmony. A broad, flowing main theme balances reflection with exhilaration by guiding the listener through a fluid investigation of double realities. The track’s great cinematic quality is enhanced by its soaring intensity and precisely placed breaks, therefore producing an amazing experience spanning light and shadow.
The second track, Quasar, explores ever more mysterious ground. Driven by a techno-based basis, it combines a dreamy but eerie main theme with a fascinating synth palette. The deeper tones and throbbing rhythms create a fascinating trip that highlights even more the pair’s ability to strike a mix between intricacy and accessibility. Complementing its erratic breaks, the explosive energy of the music distinguishes it as a provocative work fit for a dancefloor.
Supported by heavyweights like Mind Against and Tale Of Us, ENØS keeps cementing their name as forerunners of modern melodic techno. Along with amazing performances, including lighting up Hï Ibiza’s stage for Afterlife, the Now or Forever EP also symbolizes their increasing presence on legendary labels such Habitat, Oddity, and Purified.
This newest release is a daring step into a more profound and mature soundscape, not only a celebration of their skill. For everyone attuned to the emotional depths and complex textures of melodic techno—a defining event for ENØS and Sinners both—now or forever is a vital listen.

Winamp music platform, is today releasing an advanced version of Winamp for Creators, making it the first all-in-one suite of tools for artists, covering everything from distribution, copyright and licensing, to collectibles, fan engagement, collaboration and marketing.
Winamp is focusing its attention on empowering independent artists and labels, at a time when streaming is not serving the majority of artists who are unable to make a living out of it. The need to diversify revenue streams beyond streaming has never been greater.
Winamp for Creators now aggregates gold-standard music management tools into an all-in-one platform, empowering music creators to manage their music and revenue in a single place – for the very first time.
Winamp for Creators allows artists to become businesses
Winamp for Creators represents a new model for the music industry, where artists can in effect become their own merchant, providing the opportunity for direct fan engagement through personalised artist-to-fan relationships, and also manage their copyrights, license their music, sell digital collectibles and even hire collaborators.
This evolution reflects a broader change in the way that artistic creation is valued, with artists at the center of the system, not on its periphery. With Winamp for Creators, artists can reclaim control over the relationship with their audience, allowing fans to gain access to exclusive content or personalised memorabilia.
The suite of tools
The suite of tools includes distribution, the capability for independent artists to be on all major streaming platforms entirely for free; copyright, helping artists to receive and manage author and composer royalties; and licensing, allowing artists to sell their tracks for use in ads, YouTube videos, and more.
Winamp for Creators also provides YouTube Content ID to copyright owners, to easily identify and manage their copyright-protected content on YouTube. Winamp then collects the revenue generated and distributes it to the copyright owners/creators.
There is a collectibles service, allowing artists to create NFTs of tracks with a unique value and perpetual revenue source; and a Fanzone, allowing artists to create their own social feeds, with content that can be locked for premium subscribers.
Coming soon in Q1 2025, there are marketing tools, providing artists with the ability to create direct revenue streams while enhancing revenue management, managing websites, creating ad campaigns, and handling social networks.
Lack of resources is often what blocks the artist’s journey but now they – or their managers – can build a team of collaborators and remunerate them with Winamp for Creators. It provides the opportunity for artists to have the flexibility to create teams that can be scaled up or scaled down to support them, including managers, marketing and social media experts. Winamp for Creators even has a job board to allow people to post a job or apply for one.
Alexandre Saboundjian, CEO, Winamp, said: “Streaming has run out of steam and the music industry needs a new model. Winamp can be part of the solution. At the current level of streaming revenues, it should only account for 30% to 40% of a musician’s total income, while artists create other monetisation avenues. The challenge for independent artists and small labels is to identify new revenue sources and establish a more direct connection with fans.
“Winamp for Creators makes the business of being an artist seamless, providing an all-in-one suite of tools that give artists full control of their music and revenue. It is the swiss army knife of music management tools, one that every artist needs in their back pocket.”

Dekmantel Records has relaunched its UFO series, marking a new chapter in its exploration and support of experimental electronic music. Originally launched in 2016, UFO has been synonymous with the harder, darker, and avant-garde techno sounds showcased on the UFO I and II stages at Dekmantel Festival.
After a hiatus since 2022, the series now returns with a refreshed identity by designer Jonathan Castro, and a renewed focus on pushing the boundaries of today’s club music. Today, UFO returns with two simultaneous EP releases, setting the tone for the sublabel’s future. Wata Igarashi’s ‘Kaleidoscopic’ offers a four-track journey through the Japanese artist’s crystalline techno realm, blending ethereal arpeggios, shimmering melodies, and minute shades of acid and breaks.
On ‘Ecstatic Nostalgia’, Italian producer Piezo opens a four-track window into techno’s contemporary permutations, weaving UK bass and dub offshoots into a highly kinetic club sound that is equally fast-paced and dreamy, heavy and mischievous.
Platforming both techno’s fundamentals and its yet-to-be-defined offshoots, the UFO sublabel aims to further champion the innovative artists featured at Dekmantel’s global events, while also enriching the broader Dekmantel label. “By dividing things this way, we can introduce some differentiation while continuing to release both techno and house, along with many other genres,” says label manager Olf van Elden. “Both sides of Dekmantel are equally important to us—and they can coexist harmoniously.”
Looking ahead to 2025, the UFO series is set to expand with releases from artists including Broken English Club and Quelza.

All the biggest artists work with paid co-producers, and guess what? It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
If a music producer wants to make money without ever leaving the studio, this is perfect for them. Major artists who are always on tour rely on the support of anonymous music producers—often referred to as ghost producers. These collaborators are part of their team, helping with insights, finishing tracks, mastering, and a range of other services. The reason is simple: artists need to maintain a steady flow of releases but don’t have the time to do everything themselves. That’s just a fact.
On the flip side, up-and-coming artists who are navigating a sea of technical challenges and unfamiliar technologies benefit massively from paid co-producers. These collaborations act as both mentorship and partnership, giving the emerging artist a guide while shaping their sound for later sell the tracks on platforms such as Traxsource, Juno Download, Boomkat, iTunes / Apple Music
Another interesting perspective comes from producers who thrive in the studio, churning out dozens, sometimes hundreds, of tracks without the desire to tour. For these creators, working as a paid co-producer offers a sustainable source of income and the chance to stay creatively active.

What’s the Difference Between a Paid Co-Producer and a Ghost Producer?
Well, if it’s anonymous, it’s a ghost. The producer hands over the rights to the track, so the client can claim it as their own and add it to their catalog. In the electronic music world, collaborating with paid co-producers (often labelled as ghost producers) has become a clever strategy for established artists looking to add fresh ideas and creative layers to their sound. By teaming up with co-producers, they bring new techniques and perspectives to their projects, often resulting in more dynamic and polished tracks.
Alexander Larichev from EDM Ghost Production explains:
“Music production today is more collaborative than ever. Digital tools have erased geographical barriers, enabling talent from around the globe to create together seamlessly and efficiently.”
Thanks to advancements in digital platforms, remote collaborations are easier than ever, offering practical and streamlined ways to connect artists and producers. This allows creativity to flourish, even from opposite ends of the world.

Growth Opportunities for Producers
Collaborations like these create unique opportunities for growth. Both sides learn from each other’s strengths and experiences, broadening their creative horizons. This process not only enhances their technical and artistic repertoire but also opens the door to exploring new sounds.
According to Larichev:
“Mutual learning is one of the most valuable aspects of any musical partnership. One producer might introduce a fresh perspective on mixing, while another brings a unique approach to composition. This constant exchange elevates the quality of everyone’s work.”
Collaboration can also drive innovation. When two artists come together, their combined ideas push the boundaries of what’s possible in music production. This teamwork can birth hybrid styles, new approaches, and even entirely new genres.

Paid Co-Production: Balancing Taboo, Income, and Artistic Contribution
Once a quiet and somewhat taboo part of the industry, paid co-production is now widely recognised behind the scenes of electronic music. For many artists, these professionals are essential in shaping their sound and crafting hits. Ghost producers play a vital yet often unseen role in creating some of the biggest successes in the industry.
For producers, ghost production is more than just a job opportunity. It’s a way to stay creatively engaged and contribute to the global music scene without the pressure of public life. Larichev elaborates:

“Ghost production is a conscious choice for many creators. It allows talented producers to work on high-profile projects while maintaining their privacy and financial stability.”
This model creates opportunities for producers to work on major projects with renowned artists, often contributing to tracks that dominate global charts. It’s a testament to how the industry is evolving to accommodate diverse artist and producer profiles while maintaining high standards of quality.

Tools and Initiatives That Foster Creativity
Larichev, who has a strong background in developing tools for music producers, emphasises the role of technology in making music creation more accessible:
“Our goal is to develop solutions that not only simplify the creative process but also inspire artists to explore new musical territories.”
These tools go beyond production software, offering platforms for collaboration, tutorials for learning new techniques, and social networks tailored to producers. Together, these resources create a dynamic environment where artists at all levels can grow.
In the end, the combination of collaboration, learning, and innovative tools is reshaping the landscape of electronic music. As producers and artists continue to explore new creative possibilities, the industry becomes more dynamic, inclusive, and full of opportunities. As Larichev puts it:

“This isn’t just about technology; it’s about building human connections that enrich the art of making music.”

Late Night Therapy‘s “Polarity” is a sophisticated electronic piece that continues the artist’s explosive creative trip until 2024. After a run of noteworthy singles like “Caught in the Moment,” “GENESIS,” “ALTITUDE,” “RELAX,” and “Swept Away,” he shows his constant ability to create emotionally complex electronic soundscapes.
The music stands out right away for its well-crafted opening passages. With a piano theme that forms the emotional center of the work, the first melodic lines create a clearly cool, introspective environment. Especially remarkable is this piano work, which deftly moves into the vocal parts to provide a natural flow that is both deliberate and easy.
“Polarity” exhibits incredible rhythmic accuracy. The track’s disciplined backbone from the clear, sharp percussive components preserves a precise balance between subdued movement and subtle drive. This rhythmic method lets the other musical parts interact with a purposefully created sense of spaciousness and breathing.
One finds that the aural environment of the track depends critically on the baseline. Said to be “wide,” it adds a supernatural element that transforms the whole work above a basic electronic tune. This fundamental sound suggests layers of emotional and musical richness that call for repeated listening by generating depth and dimensionality.
The title of the record, “Polarity,” seems especially fitting. Between the quiet piano lines and the strong baseline, between the easy melodic approach and the fundamental rhythmic structure, the music seems to toy with contrasts. This dynamic hearing experience produced by the interaction of contradictory components keeps the audience interested.
Late Night Therapy keeps proving their maturity as musicians by proving they can produce electronic music transcending simple danceability. “Polarity” seems like a sonic trip inviting reflection while keeping an accessible, melodic core, exploring emotional states.
“Polarity” offers a natural progression of sound for those who enjoy the group’s past works, preserving the emotional depth of their earlier albums while stretching their musical horizons. It is a great addition to their 2024 repertoire, further reinforcing Late Night Therapy’s reputation for producing intelligent, complex electronic music.
True to the artist’s expressive moniker, the song seems especially appropriate for late-night listening, introspective times, or as a background to meditative events.

Taking off in yet another surprising direction, GRAMMY-nominated DJ/producer David Guetta delivers the stunning melodic techno single ‘Home,‘ in collaboration with fellow French artists Kiko and Olivier Giacomotto. Together, they’ve created a deep excursion into spaced out dance music, featuring mystic vocal samples and emotionally charged drones, building a melodic pattern wrapped into a gentle, progressive styled groove. Out now on Spinnin’ Records, the much anticipated release of ‘Home’ resembles the dreamed soundtrack to a late-night drive, perfectly marking the obscure and emotional side of contemporary electronic music.
Following a teamup between Jack Back and Kiko three years ago, releasing the techno fueled club hit ‘Supercycle,’ both artists have now joined forces again, calling in fellow French DJ/producer Olivier Giacomotto for the impressive, atmospheric production of ‘Home.’
Kiko, known for countless club smashes, dating back to the zeroes when electro and minimal techno dominated the clubs, has always kept perfecting his sound, resulting in tightly crafted DJ weapons, this year resulting in the beautiful Agoria collab ‘Second Life.‘ Olivier Giacomotto, in the meantime, set off on similar adventures, sharing a series of forward-thinking electro and tech house music since the early 10’s, this year burning the floors with Kiko collab ‘Trombe.’
The three have honed their skills impressively on the emotionally charged single, ‘Home.’ It’s a tune that employs vintage melodic techno and progressive vibes, with its punchy, addictive rhythms and delicate use of vocal samples, while adding warm layers of synths, expressed with bursts of melodic drones, twisting and swirling around the continuous rhythm. The track is twofold: it’s made for the dance floor with its effective high energy, and it also brings an alluring, atmospheric mood, touching the senses on a whole other level, ready to overwhelm the afterparty-crowd, soundtrack your late-night drive or get the lights dimmed at, well… home.

Released on November 27th via Disorder and Capitol Records, the track marks a fresh direction for the Lawrence brothers, showcasing their ever-evolving sound.
‘King Steps’ dives headfirst into a bass-heavy garage groove, reminiscent of Disclosure’s earlier works. The duo’s signature production shines through with crisp percussion, rumbling low-end, and shimmering synth stabs. Pa Salieu steps in with his signature gravelly flow, weaving tales of resilience and self-assuredness over the infectious beat.
“We’re excited to continue showcasing the darker, harder side of our sound with ‘King Steps,’” Disclosure shared in a statement.
Pa Salieu echoes the sentiment, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the track. “I know that garage music isn’t a genre people might expect me to jump on,” he says, “but that’s what being an alien is about, moving from planet to planet, sound to sound. I stepped into Disclosure’s world and together we created an atmosphere that blends where we’re both coming from.“
The pairing of Disclosure’s production prowess and Pa Salieu’s raw lyricism proves to be a potent one. “King Steps” is a powerful and atmospheric track that injects a dose of grime and attitude into the world of electronic music. It’s a testament to both artists’ willingness to experiment and push boundaries, leaving listeners eager for what’s next.

The UK festival scene faces a challenging 2024, with 72 festivals either cancelled, postponed, or permanently ceasing operations—twice as many as the previous year. The stark figures come from the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), which also reported that 204 events have vanished from the British calendar since 2019. Almost half of these losses—96 events—occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Economic Struggles and a “Devastating Period”
AIF CEO John Rostron described 2024 as a “devastating period” for the festival industry, citing sustained economic challenges from the pandemic, high inflation, and shifting consumer trends as key culprits.
Earlier this year, the AIF raised alarms about the precarious state of the sector. By March, 21 festivals—including Standon Calling, Neighbourhood Weekender, Doune The Rabbit Hole, and Tokyo World—had already pulled the plug on their plans. Long-standing events such as Nozstock The Hidden Valley also announced that 2024 would mark their final year.
By mid-year, the tally had climbed to 40, with cancellations affecting dance-centric events like El Dorado, Riverside, and NASS. More recently, Hampshire’s Cosmic Roots, Kent’s Alfresco, and others like Camp Bestival Shropshire and Highest Point have joined the growing list of casualties.
The Call for Government Intervention
The AIF has repeatedly called for targeted governmental support, including a reduction in VAT on ticket sales from 20% to 5%. Rostron emphasized the significant economic contribution of festivals to local communities and the UK Treasury, lamenting the lack of governmental action to preserve these cultural mainstays.
While the UK Government recently introduced a voluntary levy on arena concert ticket sales to support grassroots music venues, the implementation details remain unclear. The AIF argues that such measures are insufficient to address the scale of the crisis.
An Industry in Flux
The current state of the UK festival sector is a stark reminder of its vulnerability amidst broader economic uncertainties. As organizers, artists, and fans grapple with these changes, the hope remains that swift and effective interventions can prevent further losses in the years to come.
For now, the UK festival calendar faces an uphill battle, and many are left wondering how many events will be able to weather the storm and return in 2025.
