Junction 2 Festival Announces First Wave of Artists for 2025

Junction 2 has revealed the first wave of artists that will perform at the next iteration of the festival. The event, which will take place at Boston Manor Park in London (UK), will feature once again some of the biggest acts in underground house and techno. Let’s take a look at this first wave announcement made the organizers.
Attendees will have a chance to see perform artists like Charlotte De Witte, Daria Kolosova b2b Dr Rubinsten, Dax J b2b Helena Hauff, DVS1, Kettama, Nina Kraviz, Job Jobse, Mount Kimbie (Live), Moxie, Ogazòn, Palms Trax, Sofia Kourtesis (Live) and Soulwax (Live).
This reveal is only a glimpse of the Saturday and Sunday, with more—including Friday’s programme—coming soon. There are over 50 artists still to be announced, so this is just the beginning. Tier 1 tickets will be available for pre-sale from midday GMT, Thursday 12th December 2025, exclusively to those who sign up via this link.

UKF15: Our First Music Upload

Yesterday, we took a trip down memory lane to revisit our first-ever dubstep upload. Today, it’s all about the origins of our Music YouTube channel – and it begins with a bang: KOAN Sound’s remix of Skrillex’s ‘Kill Everybody’
As we count down to the grand finale of our UKF15 celebrations – a sold-out extravaganza at the mighty Drumsheds on December 13 – we’re having a quick catch up with KOAN Sound.
Your remix of Skrillex’s ‘Kill Everybody’ was the first upload on our UK Music Channel 12 years ago, what have been some of the highlights of your musical journey since then?
Since 2011 we’ve toured all over the world and have been able to travel to places we never thought we’d see. We’ve also released a lot of music, including our latest album which is a sprawling cinematic project based on a science fiction story that we wrote. One of the things we’re proudest of is maintaining our creative vision and integrity whilst continuing to experiment musically with every release. We’re fortunate that we’ve always had a really loyal fanbase that has supported our experimentation from the beginning.
How has the dance music scene changed in the last 15 years?
The origins of UKF were at a time when UK-driven electronic music was on the cusp of blowing up globally and commercially. Probably the biggest change we’ve seen over the past 15 years is the explosion of electronic music in America. Back in early 2012, when we did our first major tour of the US alongside Gemini, club culture and electronic music in general was not nearly as established compared to the UK. Contrast that to 2024, and venue infrastructure and production around the US has seen huge investments. Sound and sound-systems in particular are now prioritized much higher than they used to be.
15 years ago platforms like Facebook and YouTube were becoming ubiquitous, which resulted in music being able to spread much faster. Back then the blueprints of dubstep and drum & bass were already fairly well established, and I think some artists – ourselves included – were seeking to break out of those molds and experiment with less entrenched formulas. This is where we really started to see genre lines blurring and a lot more cross pollination taking place between different dance music styles and tempos. In general it feels like audiences are more musically open-minded nowadays because of that. The internet has exposed people to such a huge array of different types of music which feels really healthy.
What does UKF represent to you? 
UKF represents a hub for discovering new music as well as providing a platform to promote artists that work within the lineage of UK electronic music. On a more personal note, UKF supported us from early on in our careers, and gave us a platform to promote our music. Big thanks to Luke and the whole team for all of their hard work over the years.

Knock2 and ISOxo Are Launching Their Own Music Festival in 2025

Knock2 and ISOxo returned to San Diego over the weekend for a pair of epic homecoming shows, which the latter called "way more meaningful than anything we've ever done." Until next year.
The breakout electronic music duo, collectively known as ISOKNOCK, took over Snapdragon Stadium December 7-8 for their headlining twin bill, dubbed "San Diego 4EVR." They're now poised to expand the concept into a full-fledged annual festival called Niteharts Fest, they announced onstage Sunday night.
Niteharts Fest has the feel of a tour de force for ISOxo and Knock2, who were named to the EDM.com Class of 2022 and 2023, respectively. Leading a wave of hungry, contrarian trap music producers into the genre's bright future, the duo released their transformative debut album back in August.
ISOKNOCK in 2024 also debuted at Coachella, demolishing the festival's legendary Sahara Tent before defying gravity at Chicago's North Coast Music Festival by performing in a shipping container suspended by a crane. These unforgettable experiences have become second nature, and fans are already speculating what the inaugural Niteharts Fest has in store.
ISOKNOCK have not announced the festival's 2025 dates at the time of this writing, but they launched a website so fans can register for updates. Check out their reveal at "San Diego 4EVR" below.

Max Cooper to debut ‘LATTICE 3D/AV’ – immersive audio-visual performance at London’s Roundhouse

Taking place Friday the 14th of March 2025 at London’s esteemed Roundhouse, pioneering electronic composer and multi-disciplinary artist Max Cooper explores the intersections of art and science through his new ‘LATTICE 3D/AV’ show – his most ambitious live system yet. Highlighting his vision of elevating electronic music as an art form, the influential artist takes over London’s iconic Roundhouse for an elevated live experience, built with input from his audience.
Lattice 3D/AV is Max Cooper’s latest immersive audio-visual performance system. Comprising projections, semi-transparent layers, lights and lasers working together in unison to form extruded imagery that jumps off the screens into the audience, wrapping them in sculptures of light which tell the story of Max Cooper’s latest ‘On Being’ album alongside back catalogue content and reworks. Every show is unique and designed for the space and event, presented as a conversation with both the audience and the architecture through light and sound.  As is usual for Max’s live performances, the project can be catered to seated or standing events, stereo or immersive sound, classical or techno, given his rich catalogue of genre-spanning musical and visual content.  
Lattice 3DAV tells the story of our emergence, impact and inner lives, drawing on Max’s extensive back catalogue as well as the database of publicly submitted quotes and resulting visual collaborations which form his latest album and accompanying installation.
“I’m bringing my new show Lattice 3DAV to the Roundhouse on 14 March. Lattice is my latest immersive audio-visual performance system with Architecture Social Club.

Max Cooper has created a unique perception of himself setting himself aside as more than an artist that fuses emotional dance floor experimentation with fine art sound design & stunning visuals. Born and raised in Belfast, Cooper pursued music and science, earning a PhD in computational biology, while cementing his signature melodic sound with his singles dating back earlier 2000’s.  Since then he has developed his live performances with a focus on sensory immersion, with surround sound live shows 4D Sound, Hyperform, a 360 audio and visual surround dome experience with Canadian artist Maotik, his surround club show featured at Berghain, Aether, and collaborations with Future Wife and Zaha Hadid architects.
For his newest album “On Being”  released in February 2025 with the first single ‘Sun In A Box’ out now, Max Cooper has been on a two-year journey inverting the creative process by collecting hundreds of anonymous quotes and posting engaging emotional questions such as “What would you like to express which you cannot in everyday life?” and “What is it like to exist inside your head?” exploring what it means to be human today. In addition to the 3D-AV show, Cooper has exhibited installations to inspire fans at W1 Curates Oxford Street. This interactive piece, created with Ksawery Komputery and Minjeong An, invites attendees to add their own thoughts in real time.
With On Being, Cooper has aimed to investigate and gather feelings under the surface of social media to “create a snapshot of our minds these days,” by asking people to share anonymously what they dare not ever say publicly. The result is an emotionally raw and shockingly honest kaleidoscope of confessions, ranging from suicide contemplations to miserable marriages to simple pure loneliness, contrasting with hundreds of anonymous confessions of love and longing.


Roundhouse is an iconic music and arts venue that has been championing creativity in music and the arts since the 1960s. The Roundhouse is a performing arts and concert venue at the Grade II* listed former railway engine shed in Chalk Farm, London, England. The building was erected in 1846–1847 by the London & North Western Railway as a roundhouse, a circular building containing a railway turntable, but was used for that purpose for only about a decade. Today the venue is a hub of culture offering an extensive range of music, theatre and education for those to enjoy.

Following a sell-out year in 2024, Brunch Electronik Festival makes its third edition back to Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum and Poble Espanyol, returning for the first time across four days from 7th to 10th August 2025.
The lovely Parc del Fòrum waterfront venue complex will host the 8th and 9th; after this will be afterparties at the greatest venues in the city (details TBA). The breathtaking Poble Espanyol will host the 7th and 10th, offering a variety of venues fit for many electronic genres.

Burning Man Art Car Titanic’s End Launches New Record Label

Inaugural Single “In Your Eyes” by JK, Arabic Piano, ORSO & Maejor Out January 2025
Titanic’s End, the community and art car that originated at Burning Man with a mission to protect the world’s oceans, has officially launched Titanic’s End Records. The label has also announced its inaugural release, “In Your Eyes,” a new single from producers JK, Arabic Piano, ORSO, and Maejor, due out January 2025.
The Titanic’s End community comprises two hundred closely-knit individuals bonded by their drive to create art and music experiences to share with the world. Part of the camp’s mission is to financially support as many community members as possible in making a living working in the creative arts. Titanic’s End Records is the first example of a member starting a business born out of the camp.

Founded by entrepreneur Nicholas Parasram, alongside tech pioneer Justin Kan (who also co-founded the Titanic End camp itself in 2022), Titanic’s End Records will fund the Titanic’s End non-profit organization. A testament to the vast span of diversity of Titanic’s End, the label’s first release, “In Your Eyes” (due out January 2025), will represent the global house sounds coming out of the community.
Titanic’s End began as a mutant vehicle (art car) built for Burning Man to honor the majestic icebergs that regulate our oceans. A sound stage on wheels, Titanic’s End is equipped with everything needed to put on a world-class show: a DJ booth, a massive Danley sound system, an ice lounge, state-of-the-art LED lighting, and a dozen Kvant lasers. A spectacular force in both visuals and sound, past musical guests to take the stage include LP Giobbi, TOKiMONSTA, Francis Mercier, Diplo, ACRAZE, VNSSA, and more.
Established in 2022 and led by Justin Kan and entrepreneur Eddie Sellers, the vehicle was constructed by members of Titanic’s End, a camp of 200+ volunteer burners based out of San Francisco, CA. The entire planning and construction took 10 months from start to finish, culminating in its debut at Burning Man 2022. The vehicle is immediately recognizable by its glacial, triangular panel displays and individually controllable LEDs that use ultra-high dynamic range pixels at very high framerates—all custom-made.
In addition to Titanic’s End Records, the camp plans to unveil other projects from its community members as well, which will soon be announced and cover different aspects of their specialties, including live lighting.

SLANDER's Long-Awaited Music Festival, Starbase, Confirmed for 2025: See the Lineup

SLANDER are shooting for the stars—literally—after revealing the long-awaited launch of their own music festival, Starbase.
SLANDER's Derek Andersen and Scott Land revealed Starbase back in May 2021 but ultimately pulled the plug, postponing the festival indefinitely and refunding ticket-holders due to the impact of COVID-19 at the time.
Inspired by the duo's many years attending Burning Man, the inaugural festival had originally been planned for a nature preserve in South Carolina but has now been moved to the sun-kissed Lake Perris in Southern California.
If you're craving a lakeside escape with beats that echo into the dawn, Starbase might just be your next cosmic destination. A space where electronic music and community converge under the stars, the camping festival will take place April 25-26, 2025 in collaboration with Insomniac Events.

What will really set Starbase apart, Insomniac says, is its move to root out one of the biggest pain points of music festivals: set conflicts. The festival's schedule will be developed with zero conflicts so fans can have "the chance to experience every single artist on the lineup if they so choose," the company said in a press release.
SLANDER themselves will perform a staggering five sets over two days, blending their signature euphoric sound with experimental twists. They're poised for a solo performance, b2b sets alongside bass music superstar NGHTMRE and drum & bass luminary Dimension, and a pair of beachside "techno sunrise sets" under their Before Dawn alias.
Joining SLANDER on the lineup are Space Laces, Trivecta, Wavedash, William Black, Pauline Herr, Au5 and SVDDEN DEATH's VOYD, among nearly 40 other influential producers of dubstep, trap and bass music. When Starbase's three stages cool down, lakeside afterparties will heat up with techno sets and carry the crowd into sunrise.
