"Sound of You," the long-awaited collaboration between electronic music luminaries Armin van Buuren and Rob Swire, is out now via Armada.
The explosive new track unites two icons from opposite ends of the dance music spectrum for a powerful, festival-ready anthem. It first turned heads during van Buuren’s Mainstage set at Ultra Music Festival Miami 2024, where he surprised fans by premiering the then-unreleased ID. Now, fans everywhere can experience the full force of the track.
Swire, the influential frontman of Pendulum and one-half of Knife Party, makes a long-awaited return to the vocal booth on "Sound of You," his first vocal feature in several years. His unmistakable voice cuts through van Buuren’s lush, emotive production, delivering a soaring topline that feels tailor-made for sunset festival sets and peak-time dancefloors alike.
Built around a cinematic melody and emotionally charged drop, "Sound of You" channels the golden era of progressive house while infusing it with modern production polish. Whether you caught it live at Ultra or are listening for the first time, the track is a stunning example of what happens when legends collide.
"Seeing this sound make a comeback is really exciting because it blends the best of both worlds—massive festival anthems with deep, emotional melodies,” van Buuren said. "From the moment I wrote this, I knew Swire was the perfect voice for it, and I’m so glad he said yes."
Swire added: "van Buuren and I had talked about working together for a while. When he played me the 'Sound of You' instrumental, I knew instantly I wanted to sing on it. We recorded it in early 2024 and it was amazing to see van Buuren unveil it at Ultra Miami."

John Summit‘s famous label and party, Experts Only, takes over Miami Music Week again with a sold-out event, an exclusive mixer, and a heavy 7-track compilation. This is all leading up to Summit’s highly anticipated Everything Always headliner show with Dom Dolla at Ultra Music Festival on Friday, August 28.
On Excursions Volume 4, 11 new acts are featured for the first time on the label. It goes from the cinematic, futuristic main room progressive house and techno of Jackie Hollander & Kamino‘s “LSD” and “Deadbeat” to the chugging, almost post-punk sounds of Roddy Lima‘s “Be A Freak” and the percussion-heavy tech house of Kieran San Jose‘s “Watch Her,” which ends the compilation.
Before the album comes out on Friday, Experts Only holds a sold-out event at Miami’s Toe Jam venue, featuring DJ sets from Ayybo, Cole Knight, Layton Giordani, Max Styler, Roddy Lima (who is on the compilation), and Westend. This comes after an exclusive event for the industry on Thursday at a private location.

Today, Ultra Music Festival is one of the biggest dance music events in the world. It is also a big part of Miami Music Week and is now in its 25th year. In a UMF-only event, Experts Only‘s boss John Summit will play back-to-back with Aussie party starter Dom Dolla at their amazing “Everything Always” main show, which will also feature Solomun, Anyma, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, and many, many more.
Ready for Excursions Volume 4, which comes out on March 28th? Don’t miss anything as Experts Only takes over Miami.

The inaugural Afterlife Festival in Mexico City has been canceled by its organizers.
The news came arrives just over a month after the festival's announcement. Despite Afterlife's Anyma and MRAK missing the event in the Mexican capital, they will still be performing in Barcelona in June for the remaining leg of the Afterlife Festival.
Releasing a statement on social media, organizers cited "unforeseen technical and licensing issues" with the venue, Hipódromo De Las Americas, preventing the fest from taking place in May. It's worth noting that the statement stops short of mentioning another date and that the minds behind Afterlife Festival have "explored every possible solution," so a rescheduled date seems unlikely in the short term.
"We explored every possible solution, but the situation prevents us from delivering the experience you deserve," the statement reads.
Afterlife and Zamna said that ticket costs, including service fees, will be automatically refunded to the credit card from which they were purchased.

Anyma is back with a new single, "Neverland (From Japan)," another surefire hit in a streak of transformative dance releases. Both cinematic and strangely human, the a collaboration with Egyptian techno producer Baset arrives just before his highly anticipated b2b set with Solomun at Ultra Miami 2025, marking the first time these two electronic music titans will share a stage.
"Neverland (From Japan)" builds around a slow-burning, hypnotic pulse, layering textured vocals over a rolling bassline that feels engineered for massive spaces. It's no surprise that Anyma premiered it during his historic Vegas Sphere residency. Each drop represents a recalibration of the track's emotional charge, executed with the kind of restraint that invites deeper listening.
The single arrives closely following the announcement of The End Of Genesys, Anyma's third album, which is set to release on May 23rd. The Italian superstar uses techno as a storytelling medium, and if his latest single is any indication, he's still writing in a language the rest of the scene is racing to decode.

Berlin-based DJ and producer Moomin (Sebastian Genz) makes his highly anticipated return with Into The Distance, a deeply immersive new album out now on Istanbul’s Oath.
The 10-track LP expands on his signature sound—luxuriating in warm textures, subtly toying with shifting tones, and teasing out compositions of understated complexity. A record built on deep, meditative grooves, Into The Distance invites listeners to get lost in its hypnotic flow.
In the wake of his 2011 breakout debut The Story About You, Moomin was praised for the “resplendent naturalism” within his “beautiful, introspective take on house music”. He had cast a spell of “modern house music magic”, crafting a sound “you can listen to anytime, anywhere”. The acclaim was universal, yet Moomin remains humble, describing himself simply as “a music-lover”. Since that unmissable debut, he has further defined his unique inner-world sound through releases on kindred spirit imprints Smallville, WOLF Music, OATH, and Aim, while also launching his own vinyl and tape label, Closer, a passion project that perfectly matches the tactile and intimate nature of his productions.
Now, with Into The Distance, those unmistakable Moomin signatures are taken even further. Tracks like Joni and A Way Out pulse with understated energy, while Caught In A Memory and Night Moves evoke a dreamy nostalgia. The album moves between deep house, downtempo, and ambient influences, creating a rich, cinematic listening experience. From the hypnotic rhythms of Island Dreams to the drifting melancholy of Summer’s End, Moomin explores movement, both physical and emotional, through sound.
After years of performing at some of the world’s most influential clubs and festivals, Moomin made the decision to step away from live shows. Since 2019, he has successfully run his own mastering studio, continuing to pursue his deep love of music and technology. Into The Distance is a reflection of this period—an album that feels deeply considered yet effortlessly fluid, designed for both introspective moments and expansive journeys.

Revival and comeback trends seem to have a knack for lingering longer than expected. And I have to say, Sabrina Carpenter‘s viral hit “Espresso” embodies that perfectly. Although, it’s hard to blame anyone for wanting to ride this wave. Especially when bearing in mind the song has dominated pop culture for nearly a year now. For instance, Tommy Cash, slated to represent Estonia at Eurovision, just dropped his coffee-themed track “Espresso Macchiato.” It seems like a clever move, tapping into the espresso craze to draw attention. However, it’s not just Eurovision artists getting in on the action. Even American Idol runner-up David Archuleta is diving into the “Espresso” vibe with his new song “Crème Brulée.”
What’s more, David is unapologetically showcasing the clear musical similarities between his track “Crème Brulée” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso.” Rather than shying away, he embraces this connection with open arms, drawing from the carefree vibe and playful, cheeky narrative that both songs evoke. By infusing his own unique style into the mix, David creates a refreshing and lighthearted listening experience that invites fans to enjoy the joyous spirit of the track. Moreover, this gay anthem radiates a vibrant and infectious energy that is impossible to ignore.
Undoubtedly, in the months ahead, this catchy anthem has the potential to electrify gay clubs and shine at various pride events. Once people hear “Crème Brulée,” I have no doubt the LGBTQ+ community will wholeheartedly embrace it. Therefore, it would be wise to keep an eye on the viewing numbers for the entertaining Nathan Kim-directed music video. Notably, it is immensely plausible to become a massive hit. The beauty of this release lies in its simplicity; both the song and the visuals are highly unforgettable. The enthusiasm the LGBTQ+ community showed for “Espresso” clearly highlights their openness to adopting a similarly vibrant, somewhat significantly influenced track as one of their own.

In 2023 Teddy Swims released his smash hit ‘Lose Control’ which has now taken on a whole new life in the hands of Van Snyder, Alexander Popov, and Serena Bleu. They aimed to “reimagine it with an explosive, high-energy production” which has made for a twist on the original that no one could have expected.
Austrian DJ/producer Van Snyder, Russian DJ/producer Alexander Popov, and singer/songwriter Serena Bleu have managed switch up ‘Lose Control’ from its original calm energy to something jaw dropping. Taking on a style akin to MORTEN, this future rave ground shaker sees all artists at their absolute best creating an entrancing high energy club banger. The vision to be able to transform the original track in such a drastic way into an electronic masterpiece is simply outstanding.
Van Snyder and Alexander Popov working together was always going to make for a track with electrifying energy and a beautiful atmosphere. Popov has already kicked off the year in a big way with the addictive ‘Need To Feel Love’ while Snyder has continued a great stream of collabs alongside Poly Powder with the wild ‘Can’t Stop.’ Snyder has also made several huge tracks with Serena Bleu, so it was a no brainer to bring her in to take on the vocals and utterly nail them further cementing her presence in the dance music scene.
Reinventing tracks is never easy, but through this titanic collaboration an absolute barnstormer of a track has been created. This version of ‘Lose Control’ is an excellent reimagining of Teddy Swims’ original that takes the track to new heights and is a sure-fire hit.

EXHALE releases Various Artists Compilation 6 VA006
VA006 is a blistering tour de force of razor-sharp talent and cutting-edge techno. It has fifteen songs. The first track, “Nobody” by Argentine producer SAILO, starts things off nicely with icy vocals over his usual punishing beats. Next, “Rave Dance Drink” by French artist and co-founder of Reborn Events, Uphoria, takes us to rave. STORM, a 19-year-old Dutch hard techno producer, serves up thunderous bass, haunting synths, and electrifying drops on ‘Hypnotizee.’ Next up is Noemi Black, a DJ and producer from Poland whose track ‘Lost In Sound’ combines transcendent rave energy with obliterating bass. German producer AKKI is one of the most famous new artists of the past few years, and for good reason. On “Lost In Time,” he delivers huge peak-time techno mixed with chilling choirs and a moving string section.
Rotterdam’s IOSIO takes the stage for track six with his signature bouncy sound. “Echoes Of Heaven” is a bouncy sound treat, full of groove and pump. 2HOT2PLAY work with artist Linds from Poland to make the catchy trance-infused techno track “Type Of Beat.” Next up is new Italian producer Flour, whose trancey hard techno style goes full speed on “Galattica.” “Acid All Night Long” by Brazilian artist Molothav has harsh beats, ravey acid, and clear instructions to “dance all night.” “Mess” by Até & Salin is an irresistibly energetic call to arms, with cheeky vocals and metallic synth stabs jumping over driving rhythms.
The last third is led by “I’ll Take You Higher” by Neapolitan producer Lowerzone. It starts with strong rave stabs that take listeners to the heart of the rave. Next up are two UK acts. Alex Farell, from Liverpool, brings his signature high-octane beats to a deliciously stark soundscape with “Move Your Body,” and GALLØ, from Scotland, has an atmospheric cut called “Mantra” that balances things out. Onelas, boss of the Oiz Records label, makes his debut with the pulsing “Summer Walker.” Amstra & Sosya, a pair with many talents, closes out VA006 with the transcendent peak time chugger “Take Me Down.”

Following a milestone year for the breakthrough UK artist NatalieJane, OVAVA Music welcomes her to their growing label family. Introducing her latest single “Amanea” NatalieJane delivers bold and playful melodies that instantly inspire listeners to seek freedom and embrace the moment.
A searing testament to her unique talent, this forthcoming release features a vibrant Afro-rhythm, which is driven by powerful builds and succinct drops. Promising to be a standout release for the London-based DJ and Producer, “Amanea” is set to further solidify her place as an emerging force within the growing Afro House music scene.

Get To Know: NatalieJane
Introduce yourself in a few sentences.
This made me smile immediately! I guess because I’m a playful soul, full of passion and positivity, that I get from my mum. I like to feel deeply and adventure wildly. Human connection is my greatest sense of fulfilment.
Is there a story behind your artist name?
Yes, watch out though, it’s a unique one! It’s what my parents decided to call me 🙂
Tell us about your first performance opportunity and how it fuelled your passion..
Wow!! I remember this so vividly! A recorded set of mine had been passed to the owner of one of the best parties in London, Secret Brunch. The party often hosts between 500 – 1,000 people, and the owner contacted me to ask me to perform the final set!
The feeling within my body was one that I had never fully experienced before. It’s like every cell of my body was lit up with every shade of every colour that’s ever existed… and they were beaming with this radiance that had me ‘rolly-pollying’ on my living room floor. The exhilaration was plenty enough to show me I was beginning an exciting path.
How would you encourage emerging artists wanting to break through?

Follow your intuition.
Provide an outlandish rider (be creative).
Nah, I’m totally not this person.
If I get a warm hug from the angels that decide to book me… that’s what makes my heart smile
Music is…
the gateway to your emotions
Tell us about your plans for 2025.

So exciting!
I’ll be hitting up Bali and Australia over March / April. Then I’m off to Mexico City for some private events… really excited to explore this city as I’ve never been before!
Then I’ll be in Munich and potentially Doha for May / June.
I’m honestly so grateful for the opportunities coming my way… sometimes it’s a little surreal.
I’d definitely like to use a chunk of the summer for production in an inspiring location.

AIGEL, the dynamic electronic duo comprised of vocalist Aigel Gaisina and Russian musician Ilya Baramiya, released their highly anticipated sixth album, Killer Qız, on March 28. This album is their second entirely in Tatar, delving into themes of loss, rebirth, and the complexities of faith.
The story follows a DJ killer who causes the death of a high-ranking official, then flees with her boyfriend, watched by various figures in society. The album’s sound combines vibrant energy with deep introspection, including a poignant track where a child’s voice shifts from Tatar to German, reflecting the pain of cultural assimilation.
Standout tracks include ‘Barsı Da Bezdä’, and a playful dance track in English written for a short film by clown Vyacheslav Polunin, which humorously suggests that life is a comedy. AIGEL’s time apart—Aigel in Berlin and Ilya in Montenegro—shaped the album’s contrasting moods, with Aigel returning to Tatar as her “default language.” The track ‘Assimilation’ captures children’s cultural integration, inspired by Berlin subway sounds and a striking coincidence with a train announcer saying “Ruhleben,” or “peaceful life.”
The duo blends eclectic influences, from ’90s dance music to K-pop and hard bass, with little hip-hop. Known for their sharp lyrics, AIGEL gained fame with hits like ‘Pıyala’, which topped charts worldwide and made it to the Billboard TikTok chart. Since 2022, they’ve been outspoken against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, with Aigel in Berlin and Ilya in Montenegro.

Speculations were going around the Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris or Fred Again.., and it looks like some fans got it right, with the Swedes returning to Creamfield’s Arc Stage on 23rd August.
The last time Angello, Ingrosso and Axwell were present at the UK edition of the festival was in 2023, when they again shut down the Arc Stage with a set for the ages in which they played classics, as well as new tunes, such as ‘See The Light’ and ‘Ray of Solar.’
Swedish House Mafia have a rich history with the UK festival, having played for the first time there in 2007, back when the boys were not even known under the name that later became part of the EDM hall of fame. After their first performance at Creamfields, Swedish House Mafia returned to the festival in 2019 for an UK exclusive performance.
There are many reasons that make their 2019 Creamfields set iconic, one of them being the £4 million damage that they caused when ‘Antidote’ dropped in the fields. The amount of fire used at the drop permanently destroyed the stage’s LED screens.
Creamfields 2025 – What Else To Expect
Along with the Mafia making their comeback to England, Creamfields did not hold back and delivered another amazing line-up. Names like Anyma, Eric Prydz, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and many more will provide the soundtrack to one of the biggest festivals in Europe.
The grounds will also receive a new revamped look that brings an all new woodland themed stage, as well as a big update to the famous Runway stage. For fans of the harder beats, Teletech will return to Creamfields, now in a new arena dedicated to the techno promoter.
‘Freshfields’ is an all new area at Creamfields, one where festival-goers will be able to relax in saunas, hot tubs and sun loungers or refresh at the pamper tent, stocked with hairdryers, straighteners, and everything needed to make sure they maintain their look throughout the festival.
Besides this, ‘Downtown’ will be introduced for the first time. A brand-new sports, wellness and entertainment village that offers attendees a chance to mix fun, fitness, games, beauty, and relaxation in one place.
Camping will also be made easier for those who want a stress-free experience. The ‘Dreamfields Hotel’ will be available this year for the first time, providing a variety of ensuite rooms, including safari tents, safari grands, tenthouses, and tipi tenthouse Suites with luxurious bedding and premium amenities.
Considering all these upgrades and the state of the art line-up, Creamfields is announcing to have another jaw-dropping edition, proving everyone once more why they are one of the most notorious festivals on the continent.

Marking the latest chapter in his prolific musical journey, Berlin-based record producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Monolink unveils his stunning new single, ‘Powerful Play’. The track is available now via Embassy One. The track follows the success of ‘Mesmerized’ in January and its stripped-back acoustic counterpart in February. In effect, ‘Powerful Play’ further demonstrates Monolink’s ability to craft immersive sonic experiences that resonate deeply with global audiences. He fuses evocative storytelling with his signature blend of organic instrumentation and electronic treatment, to explore themes of impermanence, presence, and the unstoppable rhythm of life.
‘Powerful Play’
With a deeply introspective and poetic essence built upon Monolink’s layered vocals, spirited rhythms, and poignant storytelling, ‘Powerful Play’ invites listeners to embrace the fleeting nature of existence. The song guides them to immerse themselves in the beauty of the moment; his distinctive blend of electronic beats and raw acoustic elements, serves as a perfect backdrop to the song’s profound lyrical depth.
The single is accompanied by a visually arresting official music video, produced by the Copenhagen-based film production company FRANZI. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vasco Alexandre, the video delves into the intimate and complex dynamics of siblinghood. It portrays the bond between two brothers as a fragile yet indestructible connection shaped by shared history and unspoken emotions. A ghostly presence or a spectral embodiment of their relationship shadows their journey. As a result, it symbolizes the silent struggles and triumphs that intertwine their lives.
The film blends surreal imagery with stark reality. It captures the brothers in a dreamlike, psychedelic odyssey where the boundary between consciousness and subconsciousness blurs. The mysterious figure that follows them intensifies the eerie, chaotic undertone of their story, culminating in a cathartic release. In the video’s final sequence, the brothers break free in a sprint of pure, raw energy. They shed the weight of their past and embrace an unshackled future. This moment of liberation underscores the song’s central theme: no matter what trials we face, the powerful play goes on.
Monolink once again showcases his ability to create music that resonates on both an emotional and philosophical level. This new single serves as an anthem for embracing the present, allowing the rhythm of life to unfold naturally. And finally, recognize the power of resilience and renewal.

Good things take time, and great things can take 15 years to be perfect. Such is the case with one of the leading Techno DJs in the world. Belgian icon Charlotte de Witte just dropped massive news. In this case, the artist expressed on her social media that she will finally release an LP. The album will be coming on November 7th. Even though it’s towards the end of this year, we can’t help but “fangirl” over this major milestone for de Witte.
De Witte’s Trajectory
Charlotte has amassed incredible accolades without an album out. Her EPs are filled with hypnotic and driving tracks. Moreover, her atmospheric sounds teleport listeners to other realms, turning dancefloors into rituals. Her labels, KNTXT and Époque, represent top-notch artists in the scene, as well as honoring classic Trance artists with new mixes and reworks.
Major achievements include being the first female Techno DJ to close out the Tomorrowland mainstage twice, once in Belgian in 2022 and then last year in Brazil. Moreover, she has been voted the World’s No. 1 Techno DJ by DJ Mag four years in a row. The ‘Overdrive’ producer will also be the first Female Techno DJ to close the Mainstage at Movement, the premier Detroit Techno Festival. As Detroit is the birthplace of Techno, being the closing DJ at Movement is considered an incredible achievement.
Most recently, de Witte released a two-track EP with another first-class artist, Amelie Lens. The two hosted a sold-out, three-day event in their home country, Belgium, in Ghent. Flanders’ Expo saw over 69,000 attendees across all three days in support of the two Techno Titans. The announcement of a new album comes at the perfect time for Charlotte de Witte and the highlights of her career thus far.

When Sandstorm came out in 1999, it was impossible to predict just how far it would go. What started as an underground release from a Finnish producer slowly spread across clubs, radio, and eventually the internet. People didn’t just listen to it. They remembered it. Whether it was blasting through speakers at parties or popping up in early YouTube videos, the song stuck.
Now in 2025, Sandstorm has crossed over 500 million streams on Spotify. That kind of number says something. It shows how many people have kept coming back to it over the years and how a single song, built on a simple loop and no lyrics, has managed to stay relevant for twenty-five years.
The Beginning
Sandstorm was first released on October 26, 1999, through 16 Inch Records. It was later picked up by labels like Neo and Ministry of Sound, which helped bring it to a wider audience. The song started gaining real momentum in the UK, climbing to number 3 on the Singles Chart. In the US, it also made it onto Billboard’s dance listings.
What set it apart was how bold and minimal it was. There were no vocals, just a fast, looping rhythm that kept people moving. At the time, trance music was starting to break into the mainstream, and Sandstorm played a big part in that shift.
From Dancefloors to Memes to Stadiums
Over the years, Sandstorm has shown up in all kinds of places. It became a go-to song at sports events, showed up in video games, and later found a home on Twitch streams and YouTube edits. By the early 2010s, it had taken on a new kind of fame online. The meme “What’s the song? It’s Sandstorm by Darude” became a running joke across comment sections and livestreams, giving the song a second life.
What makes it stand out is how people keep finding it in different ways. Some heard it at clubs in the early 2000s. Others came across it in gaming clips or online compilations years later. And now a new generation is discovering it through short videos and festival clips. Somehow it keeps finding its way back.
Half a Billion Streams and Still Growing
Sandstorm recently passed 500 million streams on Spotify. That number speaks for itself. It shows just how many people have played, replayed, and kept coming back to a song that was released 25 years ago. It also stands out because it did this without vocals, without being remixed into something new, and without needing to chase trends to stay relevant.
Darude thanked fans on social media with a simple message:
“Over half a BILLION streams of Sandstorm on Spotify. Thank you for every listen.”
Even after all this time, people are still pressing play.
STORM 25 World Tour: The Celebration Begins
To mark 25 years since the release of Sandstorm, Darude is launching the STORM 25 World Tour. It kicks off on March 28 in Sydney, Australia, followed by a stop in Auckland, New Zealand. More shows are expected across Europe, Asia, and North America.
This tour is not just about looking back. It is a chance for longtime fans and new listeners to experience Darude’s work in a new way. The shows will feature updated visuals, reworked versions of older songs, and new material that reflects how his sound has evolved over time.
Tour dates and tickets are available at www.Storm25.World.
A Legacy That Transcends Time
Few songs have stood the test of time like Sandstorm. It’s a blueprint for how a single record, crafted with passion, simplicity, and just the right amount of madness, can go from local Finnish clubs to becoming a global staple.
With 25 years of influence behind it and a world tour on the horizon, one thing is certain: A storm is still coming.
