Josh Teed is a versatile, classically trained, and technical musician who picked up the violin at the tender age of 3 years old, going on to win the Florida Fiddle Championship at 9. Now, his productions pay tribute to some of his electronic influences such as Charlesthefirst, CloZee and Govinda while still remaining unique and properly showcasing his vast expertise in instrumentalism. His live sets incorporate violin, didgeridoo, and live analog synthesis overlaid on top of every element of a great DJ set, keeping listeners engaged and entranced for every second he has the stage.
This talented rising star recently returned to CloZee’s Gravitas Recordings with his highly anticipated album ‘Recurring Dreams‘. From start to finish, Josh blurs the line between electronic and live music, using his strong musical talent in unique ways to create his signature sound. With live instrumentation blended with his heavy bass production, Josh has been making waves in the scene and offering something truly special.
It’s hard to pick favorites on this album, but “Nightmare Sonata” opens up experience wonderfully, featuring another break through artist, Daggz. Together, they fuse beautiful violin melodies with driving hip hop beat, building into an electrifying bass drop .
“Memories Of A Past Life” opens up into a dreamy atmosphere exploring into the diverse sound he is capable of, very tastefully throwing in heavier bass elements but clearly showing a shift in energy to tease the rest of the album. “Elysian Forest” truly shows the diverse range of Josh Teed, and brings all the energy together for an unreal blend of downtempo and heavy dubstep with a massive final drop. “Zones Of Reality” ends the album with beautiful instruments and rides the line between his chill and heavier sides of this release, a perfect final showcase of his sound.

The vision behind it was to push the envelope in regards to the marriage of instrumentalism and melody, with experimental sound design and heavy bass.
