On Wednesday, tens of thousands of users faced challenges while using the music streaming service, but Spotify restored functionality within a few hours. They communicated their progress effectively on social media, stating on a post they published on X, “All clear — thanks for your patience,” around noon ET. Then, Spotify provided users with guidance to contact their support account for any further assistance, “Get in touch with @SpotifyCares if you still need help”.
The problems that lead to the widespread outage of Spotify
During the outage, many users struggled to load the app and desktop site, play songs, and utilize the platform’s search function. Some also encountered difficulties accessing Spotify’s support site. The affected users were primarily from the US and parts of Europe.
