A landmark collaboration between progressive house icon Spencer Brown and legendary Bedrock founders John Digweed and Nick Muir arrives on June 20th with the release of “Relentless.”
Available in both digital and vinyl formats, the single embodies a powerful moment of artistic convergence, bridging generations, continents, and club cultures. More than just a track, “Relentless” emerges from a deeply personal connection and 18 months of sonic exploration among three artists whose mutual respect and shared vision helped shape every detail.
“Relentless” arrives as a dual-sided release, with Side A offering the sprawling, 9-minute Original Mix—driven by hypnotic grooves, slow-building tension, and crystalline production detail—and Side B showcasing a 5-minute Beatless version, a beautiful, atmospheric rendering that strips away the percussion to reveal the core emotion underneath. Both versions are equally at home in headphones as they are in the heart of the club.
For Spencer Brown, this project represents one of the most significant moments of his career. “John is my favorite DJ of all time. He is the person who has blown me away the most, consistently. My 30th birthday at Stereo for John’s set was the best night of my life,” Brown says. “Ten years of learning from his dancefloors, his sound and flow slowly shaping mine, teaching me to be a better DJ just by dancing.”
This long-standing admiration turned into something real in 2021 when Digweed played the debut release on Spencer’s diviine label, “18 Min Loop,” at a party in Argentina. A chance meeting backstage evolved into an hour-long phone call, and what followed was a growing friendship rooted in music and mutual passion.
The connection matured into creative collaboration, with Digweed, Muir, and Brown slowly chiseling away at what would become “Relentless”. “Trying not to gush too much, but what an honor to make a record with these legends,” says Brown. “They’ve shaped my taste and how I play over the years, so it’s really a full circle to be able to finally collaborate.” The result is a track that has been tested, refined, and road-proven across clubs and festivals, the product of three minds in deep dialogue over nearly two years.
Spencer Brown’s journey in electronic music took off after Avicii signed his debut EP and invited him to open at the Hollywood Bowl in 2014. Since then, he has released three critically acclaimed mix-format albums, topped global charts, and toured the world—from marathon sets at Montreal’s Stereo to festival slots at EDC and Tomorrowland. Known for his genre-blending versatility and engaging sets, Spencer has collaborated with elite artists such as Ben Böhmer, Marsh, Qrion, ilan Bluestone, and Above & Beyond. His tracks receive support from the biggest names in dance music, including Solomun, Carl Cox, Keinemusik, deadmau5, and, of course, John Digweed. In 2022, he launched his own label, diviine, to gain full creative control over his vision, creating a platform for bold, boundary-pushing sounds that reflect his evolving artistry.
The release of “Relentless” comes amid a globally spanning Summer 2025 tour for Spencer Brown, who continues to expand his reach and influence. Following shows in Asia and North America, he will hit major markets in June and July, including Los Angeles, New York, Texas, Minneapolis, and Montréal, where he will return to his spiritual home at Stereo for a legendary closing marathon.
