Out today via HypnoVizion is the latest single from Canadian producer Rezz in collaboration with elusive duo Chuurch, entitled ‘Telepathy.’
Recently rinsed during Rezz’s sold-out debut PORTAL show in the Bay Area, ‘Telepathy’ is another fan-favorite and hit from the archives. First created nine years ago and only heard as a live ID, ‘Telepathy’ embodies the kinetic energy of the dancefloor. Tension swells with ominous vocal samples as the track unfolds with eerie synths and grimy basslines locked in a wayward call and response. Fueled by nearly a decade of honing their distinctive signature sounds, ‘Telepathy’ is a crystallization of Rezz and Chuurch’s evolved creative instincts and unwavering sonic experimentation.

I decided to reopen the project, give it a fresh mix and switch out some of the bass sounds to make it bigger and bolder than ever. So stoked to give this one to the fans.‘

‘Telepathy’ is the latest track to be released from Rezz’s highly coveted vault following last month’s ‘Contorted.’ Rezz is currently gearing up for her annual takeover at The Brooklyn Mirage later this month. The second edition of Rezz’s new audio-visual show PORTAL will take place at Washington’s Tacoma Dome in September with REZZ ROCKS VII returning to Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre in October.
Chuurch is the mysterious duo of Jeff Wilson and Justin MacLean. Since emerging in 2016, they’ve carved a lane in the underground bass scene with their signature ‘lean bass’ style and landed them on labels like Nest HQ and Deadbeats. Amidst their catalog of bold and eclectic originals are official remixes for Zeds Dead & Illenium, Apashe, and ATLiens. Their sound and selective live appearances have catapulted Chuurch forward, building a strong fan base who call themselves The UUnion. ‘Telepathy’ serves as Chuurch’s first appearance on HypnoVizion and marks the duo’s first release in two years.
