RÜFÜS DU SOL released the official remix package for their new song “Music is Better” today. It includes a club version and a remix by Belgian producer/DJ Maxi Meraki. The package was released by Rose Avenue.
The band has always paid tribute to their dance roots with remixes made for clubs, and “Music is Better Remixed” is no different. Some of their biggest hits have been remixed by Solomun, Adriatique, Anyma, Adam Port, Carlita, and more over the years.
“Music is Better Remixed” builds on the happy mood of the original while tying together the danceable beats that capture the shimmering moves of RÜFÜS’ custom DJ set.
Along with an extended club version from the group, the package also includes a melodic techno remix by Maxi Meraki. Mekari’s version of “Music is Better” adds almost 7 minutes of building synths and a driving bass line while keeping the positive vibe of the original.s.
In the three years since Surrender came out, RÜFÜS DU SOL won a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for the lead song “Alive.”
“Music is Better Remixed” comes out before RUFÜS DU SOL’s only live show of the year. If you’re wondering when this is, mark your calendar for September 2nd at the Portola Festival in San Francisco.
