Acclaimed electropop icon Róisín Murphy has released “The House (System Olympia Remix)” alongside the announcement of her upcoming remix album Hit Parade Remixes, out May 24. Reimagining her landmark album Hit Parade, Hit Parade Remixes dials up the vibrant, kaleidoscopic euphoria of Róisín’s eccentric artistry to dizzying new heights with the help of a cutting-edge cast of producers and DJs including Moodymann, System Olympia, Hernan Cattaneo and more.

“I’ve known System Olympia for a couple of years having reached out directly to her because I fell in love with her music,” shares Róisín. “We have collaborated on coming music for her project, and she put together an incredible DJ mix for my BBC 6music residency and curation. She’s a producer and songwriter of immense class. Her work is deeply funky sexy, and cool. She’s Italian, with all the cool stuff that goes along with that. She’s a sister.”

“I went to see Róisín’s latest show at Printworks,” adds System Olympia on the inspiration for the remix. “I got lost in the crowd by myself to absorb the power of her performance fully. I went home that night and used the incredible energy I had just experienced to make a remix that matched Róisín’s immensity as a performance artist.”

Hit Parade Remixes follows the release of Róisín’s critically acclaimed album Hit Parade, her collaboration with German producer DJ Koze. Described by Pitchfork as the best record of her career and “the kind of career-burnishing feat most artists can only dream of making,” Hit Parade received global praise from the likes of NPR, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Consequence, Stereogum, SPIN, Paper Magazine, The FADER, UPROXX, Paste, and more for melding disco, soul, house, and techno across singles such as “CooCool,” “The Universe,” and “Fader.”
