Not many brands can last 3 years, let alone 30 years, but The 30th anniversary of the Time Warp festival in Mannheim, Germany, was an electrifying celebration that built on three decades of experience and added plenty of extra magic for the special occasion. This is one of the most recognised techno brands in the world, and for good reason – not only does it welcome just about every major artist in the genre Bech and every year – not just to Germany but to other events everywhere from New York t

If the world seemed a bit quiet at the end of March, it’s because the entire electronic music community had descended on Miami for Music Week, when Vice City reached its pulsing pinnacle. This year I got to live the dream right on South Beach. “It’s not rained like this in months,” said the bartender as she mixed me another lethal Mescal Marg. The water on Collins Ave was above ankle height. Car horns were blaring. Down at Bay Front Park, Ultra Festival had wisely been evacuated. 100,000 rav

J’Moris has been teasing singles and videos, it seems, since teasing singles has been a thing. His Spotify discography is singles only all the way back to his Blac February album in 2020, though that particular album still feels as fresh as ever. That said, fans better believe Moris Better: Loveless Confessions is fresh2death. Where Blac February was heavy, political and fraught with tracks like “Venting,” “Alien” and “Letter to God,” Loveless Confessions is notably smoother around the edges bo

We could be heroes, we could be heroes me and you first graced our ears in March 2014 when Alesso first played this track at Ultra Miami, a mere 4 months before its official release. ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ by Alesso and Tove Love released on August 25, 2014 and quickly grew in popularity. “Signal” serves as the second single off Rezz’s forthcoming IT’S NOT A PHASE EP, due out this summer, and the anticipated sequel to her and Grabbitz‘ previous release, “Someone Else” released in 2020. The single notably serves a more alt-rock vibe than their previous collaboration, adding some more live instrumentation and plenty of the Grabbitz vocals we know and love, as well. Embracing the distinct elements of rock and electronic music, “Signal” fortifies the nostalgic references and cros

After three albums, countless singles, and years of devoting herself to a specific vibe, Rezz has announced the launch of her own label: HypnoVizion. The producer/DJ to label-owner pipeline is pretty well documented, with plenty of artists running their own labels like Subtronics, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Kayzo, and more, including Skrillex’s OWSLA where Rezz had her debut in 2015. The move for Rezz is pretty right on schedule and one of the clear next moves in her career. “After years of con

Rezz has released on many labels, including mau5trap, Deadbeats, and Confession, but she’s now announced that she’s starting her own music label. If you look through her releases on Spotify, many releases dating back to 2018 have been released under Rezz Music, such as her Beyond The Senses EP in 2019. It appears that around 2020, Rezz Music was under exclusive license to RCA Records. Though, it’s unclear at this time whether she’s regaining sole ownership of Rezz Music and relaunching it with

It's difficult to imagine Rezz's thumping 2016 hit, "Edge," any darker. But if there's anyone to reinvent the hypnotic track through an even eerier lens, its Rezz herself, who has released a new version of her breakout song. Eight years ago, "Edge" helped put Rezz and her spellbinding production style on the map. Now it's reached new heights by virtue of a massive rework, which is out now on her longtime home of mau5trap. Conjuring her signature ominous soundscapes while channeling the original

Lots of producers can work intensely quickly when given the proper incentive or inspiration. This past Sunday, two days ago, Rezz sent a WIP (work in progress) over to Subtronics to get some of his “disturbingly gigantic bass noises” in the mix. Rezz will begin her Spiral Tour on February 18 and Subtronics is currently in the midst of his Fractal tour, both supporting their own respective new albums. As per Rezz, “Both o
