Meduso Calls Upon the Sounds of Progressive Rock on New EP, "Synchronic"

Meduso has released a new EP, Synchronic, delivering a four-track stunner inspired by stories from his past.

The first track, "Below The Surface" sets the tone with a long, haunting introduction before diving headfirst into a nightmarish soundscape. "Head Rearranga" then lightens the tone with some mysterious keys and a vibrant bassline.

Rich with atmospheric vocals, "Siren's Hymn" sees Meduso call upon his love for progressive rock before unleashing a powerful bass drop that saws through the vox with jagged edges. The EP's closer, "Hiraeth," leans the heaviest into the rock fusion territory with grungy guitars that and warping bass.

Fans looking to get a taste of Synchronic in a live setting can see Meduso on the road this year. On the festival front, he's just performed at WAKAAN Music Festival and is set to take the stage at Subtronics' Cyclops Cove 3 in December. In-between these festival appearances, Meduso will support Tape B, Mersiv and Jantsen in the fall.

Synchronic by Meduso is out now. You can listen to the prog-rock-infused EP below and find it on streaming platforms here.
