Martin Garrix Releases New Single “Wherever You Are”

As the summer festival season heats up, Martin Garrix has blessed his fans with an anthemic new single. The new song is sure to be a highlight of his shows and summer season.

The Dutch DJ/producer has joined forces with fellow producer and DJ duo DubVision and singer/songwriter Shaun Farrugia on “Wherever You Are,” an emotionally charged and euphoric dance track.

The new collaboration was premiered during Garrix’s headlining set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. As the melodic chords swelled and Farrugia’s powerful vocals rang out, the massive audience was enraptured by the instantly catchy yet deeply meaningful song. Garrix even brought out Farrugia for a special live performance.

This song is a special one for me. DubVision, Shaun, and I had so much fun while working in the studio together, and I’m super excited the 4 of us are releasing another track together. This song was just pure joy to make-  Garrix said of the new single.

The 4 worked day and night to complete the tune for Ultra

The quartet had to work quickly to complete “Wherever You Are” in time for the Ultra debut, as DubVision recounted

When we were in the studio with Martin to work on the foundation of ‘Wherever You Are’, he got super excited and insisted on playing this at Ultra Music festival. The only problem was that Ultra was within a week and the track was not even close to finished. The 4 of us worked day and night to finish it on time, and we’re super happy with the result.

For Farrugia, the deeper meaning behind the lyrics resonates strongly.

Wherever You Are is more than just a song. It’s the feeling so many of us feel inside our hearts, gives us purpose, and remembers the ones we’ve lost along the way. I feel so honored to be back working with my brothers Marty and the DubVision boys. A song which started on a video call took us to Amsterdam, worked on as we crossed the Atlantic, and finished hours before Ultra Miami. I can’t wait for you all to hear it.

Now that “Wherever You Are” has officially been released on streaming platforms, the massive Martin Garrix collaboration will serve as the closing song for his summer shows and festival sets around the world.

With its grand melodies, driving bassline, and anthemic vocals, the new single is sure to become a fan favorite. It will surely provide an epic, emotional climax to the Martin Garrix live experience this season.
