London four-piece act Le Bon Jams have returned with their latest dance floor anthem ‘What U Need ‘on PIAS Recordings in anticipation of their debut EP set for release in June.
‘What U Need’ is a groove-driven house track, merging smooth basslines, shiny synths, and soulful vocal cuts into a club-primed, feel-good anthem. With crisp percussion across their collection of instruments, coupled with rolling rhythms, the result is an infectious momentum and bright melodic flourishes with a subtle build-up throughout. A track both playful and euphoric, the layered textures throughout bring a nostalgic warmth of the club classics, with a modern edge, primed for the summer dancefloor.
Speaking about the track’s creation, the band shared: “We wanted to craft something that felt joyous, soulful, and retro in its melody, yet heavy-hitting and club-ready in its production. With ‘What U Need’, we were really just making something that we needed.”
London-based collective Le Bon Jams is composed of musical veterans Laura Welsh, Joe Brown, Franc Colucci, and James New. An electronic and pop dance quartet.
